All right, guys, lots to talk about today.
Luke Beatles returning in Superman Tomorrow.
If I would have looked at that topic before I hit live,
I would have told Luke to change the main topic.
We have George Lucas talking about AI saying,
hey, maybe we should be embracing this thing.
The I Play Rocky trailer just dropped.
yes i reacted to it luke's working on that right now it'll probably go live while we're doing this
and actually luke's going to be pissed off about this but i actually think that the main topic today
should be the fact that the batman two is delayed again that would to me that's a that's a better
topic for us to dive into so if we can change the thumbnail and the thing when when you have the time
luke right now is like i'm juggling 87 plates but we'll figure that out me kevin smet's on the show here today
So let's get into it.
It's the show.
Ready to rock.
Yes, Smet's games are happening too.
So here we go.
Let's do it.
Did you shit in there?
What's going on, everybody?
Welcome back to the show today.
The main topic today, the Batman 2, being delayed again.
So we'll discuss that for sure.
Joining me on the show.
Smetzy is here.
How's the forehead today, guys?
How is it?
We're going to project the I play rock.
trailer on the forehead.
What are you doing?
We're going to play it right on the five head.
And then Christian will react as it plays on my forehead.
Do you need to say something?
Is that why you popped in?
Who?
Piltie was in the...
Oh, I missed it.
I didn't pop in, you popped me in.
No, I didn't.
What's me?
We got picture and picture?
Yeah, he does.
Well, I like when he's like the little revolving little head now.
Guys, I just wanted to say hi.
And this is going to be my last show for a while.
most likely only two or three weeks.
But I'm actually headed out of the country.
I'm going to see a dear friend who fought my same battle that I did.
I'm going to put the hat on now.
He's not the joke.
He fought my same battle that I did and had colon cancer.
So she lives overseas.
So I'm going to see her.
I'm going to miss my family.
I'm going to be gone for about 10 days.
On the way there, I'm going to go to Gettysburg.
I'm a huge Civil War buff.
I'm freaking out that I get to like be on the 20th Maine,
Joshua Chamberlain, fixed bayonets.
Oh, my God.
Oh, yeah, I think I've seen you do something,
those reenactments or something, right?
Yeah, I did a Civil War movie in college.
That's what it was.
Yeah, you sent it to me.
It was really good.
Oh, thanks.
But maybe we'll play it on here one day.
But anyways, just wanted to say,
I'm excited for the Smets games.
We got brand new.
We're going to really start switching it up a little bit.
And Christian sent me ideas.
I mean, it's so funny how, like, right,
and I'm not saying we started the trend,
but a lot of podcasts starting to play games lately,
and it's definitely not because of me.
It's just, I don't know, it's just a trend of online.
Yeah.
And Christian sent me a lot and that we're going to take some and make our own twist.
This one that I'm premiering this week is 100% Smets.
Like, it's two things that I'm blending two things that I love.
So I can't wait and I'm going to see if Christian will love it.
So I'm excited.
I'm excited for that too.
And I'm going to see if it is Kev's last show for a couple weeks, just for a couple weeks.
Then you want to make sure let's let's get a win here today.
It's pretty cool and go off on a win.
Yeah, I think Roxy and Mike did pretty good yesterday.
but we'll see.
I shit.
I thought you and Chris last week
we're going to win.
What was it?
$40?
Something like $40.
Yeah.
So,
okay,
when it went.
But the first thing I want to start with,
actually, is not,
because I know we're going to change the main topic to the Batman,
which we'll get into in a second,
but I actually don't want to start with either one of the potential main topics.
I want to get into this thing,
because as Luke is working on my trailer reaction to it,
the I Play Rocky
trailer just dropped.
Yeah.
Did you watch it?
Yeah, this morning, right when I woke up.
So Amazon has premiered the first trailer for I Play Rocky,
a biopic about the origin of Rocky and the Rocky Bobo character.
Anthony Ippolito plays the young Sylvester Stallone,
struggling actor with partially paralyzed face,
and a speech impediment who writes the script with a big movie studio,
wants to buy it, but he refuses to sell it unless gets to play the lead.
So I had just heard,
I knew that they were making this movie.
But, you know, and then I heard at CinemaCon that they played it.
And so I was obviously, if you watch my channel or you know me long enough,
I'm a Matt, Rocky is one of my favorite franchises and Stolls one of my favorite guys of all time, right?
I've seen countless amount of times and looking at Rocky 1, Rocky 3 on the freaking walls right now.
And I love the movies a lot.
And I know the story of how Rocky was made.
It's, it's kind of the inspiring idea of, you know, even.
And for me, what I'm doing with the pilot right now.
I thought of you when I saw the trailer, actually.
I teared up when I was watching the trailer.
Oh, wow.
Because I, because look, the first problem you run into when you are playing Sylvester Stallone is,
are you going to start doing, you know, an impression, it's going to wear thin fast.
But if you can become Sylvester Stallone and you can actually do it,
and fool me into thinking that you are Sylvester Stallone,
then you're doing something right.
Because this dude, he was great as Al Pacino in the offer, by the way.
And so he...
It's the same guy from the...
I was just going to say, this movie reminds me of the offer.
He's the same guy.
And he is awesome.
His cadence, everything about it.
But dude, you know the other thing, and I didn't want to,
but I took in my trailer reaction,
I took like a little subtle shot at Young Rock.
Not on purpose.
It was just the first thing I thought of, right?
Because you and I are both wrestling guys.
Did you watch any Young Rock?
Yeah, I watched all.
I would just skip to all of the wrestling.
Right.
But even the wrestling parts, which was cool to see,
it looked, it didn't,
you didn't really ever feel like that was really Triple H
or it was really the undertaker or it was really a player.
It looked like people in costumes, right?
And it didn't look like it never, you never really felt like they were,
actually those people.
This, they're showing us the scene,
the one push-up scene in the movie.
I thought they were playing a real clip from the movie.
Yeah.
Same with the ice skating scene.
All of it.
And he's walking up that hallway and the idea of it.
And I did.
And there was a comment that came in,
I don't know,
it was probably three or four months ago,
whatever it was.
And someone said,
why would you, if you're doing this pilot,
why would you put yourself in it
and not put someone else in it
that can actually,
help you make it. That's a mistake. And I immediately said that I'm just going to use that to inspire
because like, and especially when, so when he is going through that inside of this, I immediately
thought of the pilot immediately because I was like, yeah, that's exactly how I feel right now because
I know this role was written for me. And you use that Stallone idea from a lot of different things.
People use it all the time. Look what Stallone did in Rocky. Look at Stallone did in Rocky.
And the fact that this movie has never already been made is pretty crazy when you think about how great
of a story it is. I love the trailer. I can't wait for it.
I got goosebumps when it was like, all right, 25,000, then 75,000, then a million,
then five million. And he just kept saying no. He was like, no, no, no. And you're right.
It's like he, I'm trying to think of another, I know, Michael, he did a really good job of like,
I didn't feel like his dancing was amazing, just like Michael. And he felt like he was Michael.
This one, he feels like he's sly. And then, you know, the other, I always go back to it,
even though I love solo a Star Wars story is imagine if they had gotten someone.
one on the level of this embodiment of the actor.
And imagine if they did that for the solo movie.
Like if the solo movie was the exact same script, Christian, and everything, but it
the cadence, the cadence.
Harrison Ford perfectly like that.
Yeah, it would have been better.
Yeah, 100% the cadence of, you can, that's what, that was always a conversation that I,
disagree with people too.
It was like, well, he became that guy.
So I don't know, the cadence is always there.
The essence of who you is always there.
It's like, perfect example is this.
you look at this guy who's playing a young Stallone a 40s 50s 60 year old Stallone is significantly different than a 28 30 year old Sylvester Stallone but the cadence and essence of the person is still there the evolution of who that person is going to be is still there and that's what he is doing inside of this and I can't wait to see the scene with him sitting there next to Carl Weather
is incredible.
Yeah.
I can't do it.
It wasn't there.
Like the, I feel like there's a story about the casting of Carwether's tour.
He didn't know.
He was like, he was like, who get this bum out of here?
Where's the, I can't work against the real actor or something.
Something.
Right.
You know, the story, the story was that when he, when he auditioned.
Yeah.
He came in and he said, and he said, it would have done a lot better if you put a real actor in
there with him.
And then it's, it's Stallone.
And that's what Stallone said, that's why I wanted to hire him.
I mean, that would be what Apollo Creed would say.
Yeah.
And that story will be in there.
Now I will say this.
All right.
You're up now, young Rambo.
Like, like, this is like they should hire this guy for every young.
100%.
But now I got the young Rambo coming up.
Yeah, right?
They absolutely shibble.
But it's, but it's not him.
But either way, I love the trailer.
My trailer, people are asking, how could you not do a trailer reaction?
I did.
We just, I shot it.
I shot it like, well, I did a reaction with Tina today.
We were going to do back rooms, right?
But I had seen back rooms already.
And then it turns out when Tina came in, she had seen backrooms.
from. So I'm like, I don't want to do a movie that we both seen.
So I had- Martina or Tina. You call her Tina. Tina. Do you know,
I don't know if you know. Tina's someone that I've done, she hasn't been on in a little bit,
but she's been- Okay. Yeah, I don't know. She's done, she's done horror movies with me.
But we did Hocom, which I hadn't seen before. And I don't really think it'll do.
And Luke's probably, why'd you do Hocom? No one's going to watch that. Maybe not.
But I really wanted to see it. And it's really good, Adam Scott.
So we did that one. And then I'll probably do the Marky Plyier movie with Tien.
in next week. So PLD, we did Hocum. So there you go. That happened today. Um, it's just kind of like
out of nowhere. Um, anyway, so I'm excited for I play Rocky. I wonder what everybody else is excited for.
We shall see. Um, is it, yeah, that's a, that, that, that guy is really good. Yeah. He's like,
really good. Luke made a ridiculous thumbnail for today's, uh, main topic. Oh, put it on the screen.
Can you? Um, it's, oh, you know, it would have to load in the system. I have to download. He, he,
He always texted to me, which I, which I appreciate, but, like, I have to, like, and he probably is not putting in there.
He doesn't want to take up any more room.
Yeah.
I understand.
Let me say, if I can find it.
It's insanely ridiculous.
Hold on.
It's pretty ridiculous.
He's just so busy, though, you know?
No, no, no.
It's ridiculous in a good way.
It's ridiculous.
Oh, good.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, he props to him on the, like, these Smets games.
One of them, you'll notice there's no images now.
Like, the software I was, I just don't have time, obviously, to do Photoshop.
shop. And one of them has, one of the questions
involves Spider-Man and the Avengers in it.
I just could not get a render that
didn't look absolutely ridiculous. So I was like, you know what?
I'm just doing text. Like, I'm over it.
Fair. A lot of like a copyright.
I think a lot of copyrights and stuff like that.
I'm like, yeah, if Spider-Man's in it, it's like you can't even
get a. I can't.
It's too, there's too many
assets in there right now. I can't load it.
That's fine. People will see it.
Yeah, it'll be on there.
So anyway, that one's up there too.
So we might as well, he changed
the main topic and he changed the thumbnail.
That's how big,
by the way, I replied to you on that email with a wow,
so I'm ready to get into it.
Yeah, it's pretty nuts that this is happening again.
And it does add to this overall conversation of what the hell is going on.
Is it because he's going to, well, I'll wait until you.
Oh, yeah.
We'll discuss.
We'll discuss.
All right.
So let's get into it.
This news dropped to today.
This is like the 27th time that this movie has been delayed.
and now it's happening again.
The Batman 2 is delayed now again until 2028.
I think the first one came out.
Was it 2022?
I think so.
The first one of the Batman.
The Batman, 2020, yeah.
Six years later.
The last slice I ever spun for.
Is it really?
2020, six years later.
The Warner Brothers has announced a several month delay for the Batman 2
along with releasing their first official foot.
footage from the film set. The brief 30-second teaser starts in black before Robert Pattinson
comes out into focus, standing under falling snow, then comes a quick cut to the title,
followed by the new release date, February 18, 2028. That's a delay of four months from the
previously planned release on October 1st. That was my birthday. I was excited for that,
but it's not. Filming is underway at Warner Bros. Studio, which filming also takes place in London,
Liverpool. Previously was suggested that Sebastian Stan would be playing Harvey Dent
alongside Scarlett-Dent, alongside Scarlett-Dent, and Charles Dance as Harvey's father.
Then reports shot that speculation now is Stan believed to be playing Victor Azaz while a recent rumor this past weekend says that Johansen may be playing Pamela, I Sleep, Poison, Ivy, and dance as the leader of the court of owls.
For now, no one seems quite sure what the film's about beyond a wintry setting.
Colin Farrell, Brian, Terry Henry, let's see, so I'm just going to play this.
Is that it?
Oh, no, it's just a, just a logo.
There's no footage from what I was saying to see the logo.
you. Anyway, I mean, look, what they did with the footage itself is basically, hey, listen, they're not going to mean, if we just release and say again that we're delaying again to February, it's any problem. But if we show Robert Pattinson in the costume, show the winter thing, show that it's actually happening, and then slap in February, 2008, it'll cushion the blow a little bit, which I guess it kind of does.
because you're like, yeah, at least it's happening.
Yeah.
That's like six years later.
And what does that now mean again for the DCU Batman?
Right?
Yeah.
I mean, does it mean that they're trying to figure out a way to integrate it?
Or does it mean that they're, you know what I mean?
They're like, all right, let's push it back a couple months because now part of the plan is they're going to do reshoots and they're going to have an after credit scene of, you know, Clark Kent looking at the news about poison ivy.
Who knows?
or are they pushing it back because DCU isn't such disarray right now that they're like,
I don't know, that's so weird.
I mean, they're just getting such slack already for, is this related to the supergirl failure you think?
No.
Not that that's one question.
Definitely not.
Now, the other side of it, well, well, maybe, maybe adjacent, meaning, okay, if I'm Ellison,
I'm going, hey, we actually have a different idea of where we would like this movie to come out.
the old plan won in October.
We have a slate of things that we want to do when it takes over from
Paramount. We have an idea that we'd like to do it there.
The other question is, what is D.C. going to look like in 2020?
Like, because the hypothetical, the two hypotheticals are,
let's go with the positive first.
Man of tomorrow. Lantern comes out is critically acclaimed.
Everyone loves it.
The Supergirl, or the Superman TV show, the, the,
what's his face?
Jimmy Olson's show comes out.
People love it.
Man of Tomorrow comes out.
People love it.
Then they're playing with three things in a row,
back to back to back.
Then they're like, okay, well, what's next?
Do they still just, well, we can't do anything?
Why is that lighting up in red?
Why is that lighting up in red?
That was.
What?
Me?
No, I never saw it.
My forehead again.
No, no.
The private chat was lighting up in red.
I've never seen anything like that before.
Um, anyway.
Oh, he said at me.
Someone added someone.
I don't know.
I know, but here's the, this is the thumbnail for today.
Oh, look at your chin.
You're frozen, man.
You look like a Jack Nicholson in the end of, uh, shining.
Just waiting, just waiting for it.
Well done, Luke.
Yeah.
So either way, I feel like we're waiting for this movie like forever.
And it's just like, another question that could come from it is,
are people going to care as much in six years removed from it?
I still think the answer will be yes, it will be.
But I just think there's so much more involved now.
If I'm James Gunn, I'm saying like,
we got we got to figure out who our Batman is.
We can't, we can't time it around 20.
Because when's the third one going to come out?
2047.
Yeah, I mean, it kind of makes it feel like an event movie, ish.
Yeah.
Star Wars movies were separated by three years.
Um, not nine or six.
So this is like double that.
Mm-hmm.
Um, so I, I know that I will be really antsy and like to get in there and I feel like, but like you could lose the, there's momentum.
Like if a show like, uh, you know, on TV, it hurts it especially.
Like if they can't get another season going like for three more years and then they finally do it,
half the people are like, well, I'm not that I was into it three weeks, you know, kind of like the
Schmowdown.
Remember the Schmowdown was on such a role?
Then COVID happened and some people fell off.
And by the time we were back in the studio, that momentum was lost.
We're some people were like, well, I've moved on to other things.
I've discovered other things right now, and they're not as into it, even though we were back in studio.
And even though we were back to do it with a form that was better than I think ever, you know.
Yeah, but the different, it's a good example.
The difference is that Batman's an IP that always carries over, right?
He doesn't like, where is the smasher, buddy?
That's true, true.
So, you know, I think that when.
when you get when you get someone like um matt reeves making these movies you said and you get a good
trailer you're still going to get people excited again but you're going to get a lot of people
that are going to have to rewatch the first one right you're going to have to check it because you're
got that puppy in the theaters again i'll go see it you're just going to remind what what i mean that's a
long movie put back in the theaters too but what about avatar avatar had a long delay between
avatar in 2009 and it did yeah it did um that did well it did and you know uh there's all different
circumstances it's so true though but it's but i i don't think the delay is gonna is gonna hurt
the batman part too i i just don't i think it's going to do just fine i my bigger questions
revolve around the idea of what they're going to do with the dc and i'll be honest i don't think
and not because of firing i don't think he's going to want to be there i
don't think he's going to renew his contract i don't think james gun's going to be there in
twenty twenty eight when that movie comes out i think james gone is james gunn is long gone yeah and and i
think and i i just i don't think he wants to be part i i think he's over i think he's over uh i can
be wrong but i feel like he's over he took the gig it's kind of like when a guy finally you
were a writer at w.mese like you finally get the gig and then you're like oh man i'm over this too
too insane everybody yeah it was like the work in the traveling circus man
but anyway
so I'm curious what you guys think about it
you think this is a
good move bad move does it matter
what does it mean for the DCU
put your thoughts in there please
and let us know
all right where you have other things to discuss
and we will
but I want to tell you guys real quick about Kachava
and then we rub it back
hell yeah
Kachava
Kachva rules
I hope you guys are checking it out
I really do
it's the best
I like your buy at the end
By the way, are we done with that experiment of putting the tags on at the end of the shorts?
I forgot to do it the last couple.
But did you see, are they helping or not helping?
I think I got to look at the actual.
I got to double check and say, you know what I want to do before we move on.
I want to bring up our good friend, Cooley, hi, Henry.
And Henry has asked, and I said, absolutely 100%.
He has a book.
and so he has a big book signing coming up at Jackson State University on August 27th
and so he's been marketing his book and it's doing it's doing really good I want to give
an extra an extra shout because if you if you've been following this show long enough
you'll know the name of Henry he's going by Cooley High has been a big supporter for a very
long time so go in going support good on you Christian do you know I have the clip and
Maybe I'll put it on next week when I'm, or three weeks or whatever when I come back.
I have the clip of you talking about my Cotor movie on the fighter.
And it's funny because it's before you ever knew me, really.
Before Mark Ellis ever knew me.
Roka's on there.
And I think Perry was.
But yeah, it was really cool.
You didn't need to do that.
You watched it on the plane, didn't I?
Yeah, you watched on the plane in New York.
I just remember geeking out.
And I have it saved on my phone.
And I stumbled across it.
I was like, oh, my God.
Yeah.
Rachel had told me about it.
Yeah. So, and look at us now.
So, um, now, huh?
Yeah, we got a lot coming on.
I mean, next shit, man, I told him next week.
We got the interview dropping with Penny Barber who was live in studio.
That was a good one.
That'll be up next Wednesday.
So let me get me that a little sooner so I can make a couple before I'm out of here.
I will.
You know, that's actually, I just thought that's actually good for next week.
If you're not going to be on the show, then instead of doing the live show, I'll just run,
I'll just run that interview instead.
Yeah.
What should be good, Jonathan is cutting that.
I want to play Smet's games with her.
Wait, that sounds bad.
Well, it's.
Well, you know, you know what's funny.
I don't know.
You'd have to do, you'd have to do like obscure kind of martial arts movies and shit
because that's what you watch, horror movies.
Yeah, she doesn't watch mainstream shit.
Um, anyway.
So right now, 21 questions.
Oh, look at that.
Uh-oh.
I think you have to.
I know, I have to.
Oh, where is it?
I got to find it.
But we have, right now, currently, we have 21 questions.
Hey, I got a 21 question.
21 questions for you
Thank you, Mike.
He is a certified, your Tuesday show, man, is so fun.
He is a certified lunatic.
He is.
I'm going to have to have a conversation with him because my thought process is the fact that he is,
he's a crucial part of, I mean, especially the Tuesday shows, right?
And he's, he is, he is taken over for Brett as like the comic relief on the show.
There's no, there's no doubt about it.
I got to get the guy a better camera.
And, and like, I want it to actually, like, like, it needs, right now, if I was to rank,
I would rank Roka number one as far as set up and Mike and everything, too.
Chris is two, you're three, Winston is four, Roxy is five, and Mike is six.
Mike is back on the, what does he just use the one from his laptop?
Yeah, if Roxy had better lighting, Roxy would, would jump up the,
jump the radio. But wouldn't I get first place if mine was
moved around based on when I talk? No, you would get a little bonus points for that?
No, you'd be in last place. Last place. Hello.
You get a seizure. Sorry, I'll turn the seizure.
Yeah. So anyway, I would absolutely 100%. Do that. What was going to ask you? Something else
was going to. Oh, dude, I told Pieldy asked me. Text me last night. He's a Star Wars guy. He wants to know.
Sam and I have been, you know, we just released the episode
four reactions. She had never watched New Hope before.
She didn't see any Star Wars movies before. We went from Andor.
This is a question I have for the audience that I'm struggling with.
I'm going to ask you as well, too, because I'm really struggling with this.
But before I get to that, he watched Andor, led into episode,
well, Rogue One, then led into episode four. And she is like totally on board.
And so at the end of the episode four when she said, Leah is going to be a problem
with the love for me and everything too.
She said that and then she said, well, who is Luke's dad?
I'm going, how does she not know this?
Like, she's like, she's at my age.
How does she not know this?
So we're watching, we watched Empire yesterday.
And dude, she had no clue when the reveal comes.
She's like, wait, what?
And I'm going, at the end, I go, I have so many,
when she reacts, I go, I have so many questions for you,
but we'll let you watch the movie first.
Yeah, yeah.
And we finished the movie at the end, I go,
how do you live on this world for the amount of the years,
that we have and you don't know that. She's like, she goes, look, here's the deal. I get the reference now.
I've always heard of I am your father. It was like, well, people misquote it too. They always misquote it and say,
Luke, I am your father. She misquoted it at the end of the, at the end of the reaction to. But she goes,
I just never ever paid attention to it nor cared to when people were talking about it. I didn't care.
I was like, because you've seen space balls. And she's like, yeah, I get it now. She's like,
I understand the reference. But she has no clue. And I go, I,
everybody know the comments from me like oh she's vacant if you guys know sam she she doesn't fake anything so
she's like she's like nope nope that's uh that that's that's no clue but now here's my dilemma
kevin i have this and i'll let pld chime in on this one and the rest of the odds so go
my goal is to kind of go the machete order right yes that's the plan to where i want to go now
she knows the reveal and now we're going to show her the um flashback we're going to show the
flashback episodes one two and three right and that's basically what's happening in vaders
head as he's watching Luke fall.
Now,
it is.
Now, the other thing I am going to do, I sent you and PLD,
I found,
you know,
I told you,
I don't necessarily love those AI Star Wars stories that they do because
a lot of the times,
it just looks,
there's one of you sent me that looked cool,
but it's like,
oh my God,
please,
hurry up.
No,
don't go in there.
And it's like,
it's just not,
but somebody did an adaptation of the first
Vader comic book when right after Padmei dies and he confronts the emperor about it and then
the philosophy and the conversation that the emperor has with Vader about Sith, I am 100%
going to show that to Sam before we watch Return of the Jedi after Sith. I'm not going to react
to it. I'm just going to show it to it. Well, I would do you one better. I would show it before like
when you get to that part in the movie. Like that's how crazy I am. I have a playlist of all these
movies and like um i'll stop when i do these rewatches yeah i'll stop a movie midway and then go to that
clip to extend it because it's like right before he comes out i might i mean i could i but i just don't know
if i would actually i wouldn't show the reaction to it's a little more annoying but i just want to
show the reaction to it um absolutely that clip yes it wouldn't show the reaction to it no no no no
no no no all right here's my here's my question though my and people have already said this and i
kind of understand it and this is where my dilemma i want to show her the machete order my
fear is i don't i i i'm going to ruin the surprise of return of the jedi reveal with leah
if i do revenge of the sith first yeah only problem so the question well no it's not you could be
messed you could just skip the utah and like what are you going to call it well i was thinking about
beeping there, but the problem, I was thinking about
beeping her name because she's still like
who is the other, right?
Because like, right, but the problem then,
because the beeping it, and I have a beep here
somewhere, but the beeping of it
is not a problem. The
problem is at the very end
when they give her over to Jimmy
Smith's. Yes.
Okay. Well, the other
point though is that
is it, you know, when is the
twist, is it like, um,
my sister has it? Is that
more important to you or will it be more impactful
to her when she, after watching
this movie of Revenge of the Sith and she's so
distraught over the Anakin scenes and then
all of a sudden you hear Leah, like that might
be just a big. I know it's a good reveal too.
That's a good reveal too because she can see
wait, Leah is this? She
can learn. Yeah, I think
you do it the way. He'll be it's been
chomping at the bitch. Do not
stop the movies during the, that's what I was
the first time you watched it can't stop it.
But no, I would say definitely do. Keep going
machete order because I think it's just a bigger reveal
like you were saying. And then it just makes it a slightly
different kind of reaction return of the Jedi.
Now she knows, it's like, well, how
do they find out? Oh my God, they,
sister, how do they find out? And then when they do
have that conversation, she's waiting for it to happen.
And then it kind of comes, I think it's, I think it's
effective that way. You can go on a machete order at this point.
You're not committed to it. There's a four-hour
cut that Frank and I worked
on together where we intercut the Clone Wars
Asoka stuff.
Or, dude, there's someone that
made like a 40, there's 45 minutes
now of Order 66 footage from the games, the movies and stuff.
When I watch it, when I get to Order 66, I stop and then I watch this 45-minute thing,
which makes it so much more brutal when he's putting his hand on Padme later because, like,
I used to stop.
There used to be a long play of the Revenge of the Sith video game on the Xbox.
And, you know, you play through that.
He kills Sindhralig.
He kills everybody.
He kills Jakasta, New.
He's murdering everybody.
You're killing.
younglings and stuff like that. I used to watch the long play of that and then go back to Revenge of the
Sith. And it made his scene on the balcony with Padmae even worse because you're like, you just
watched him like literally murder people. But it'd be interesting to like play the 45 minute extended
order 66 like montage. Keller and X parts with Yol, you little Yoda. Like I mean, I'm not saying
that, no literally Grogo, I'm not saying to do that. But that's how crazy I go. I'm like, I'm watching the
45 minute order 66 right in the middle of Revenge of the Sith. Yeah. I don't try. I'm just trying
to figure out how we're going to do it.
Like I said, I want feedback.
I don't want fucking assholes in here, like saying,
Oh, you leave,
get out.
What happened?
Nothing.
Just people,
just learn how to talk to people.
I just,
I just can't take it anymore,
especially this whole week has just been the pain in the asshole back.
Guys,
let me just,
can I just speak to the audience for a second?
No.
Someone that came back from cancer,
I literally was given a prognosis
that it could either be,
I'm alive in three years,
or I'm alive in 30 years.
I don't know.
These things were,
You guys want to be mean to each other in the chat.
Like, it bums me out.
And also, there's so much more you can focus your life on.
Because you never know if all of a sudden you're going to get a doctor's appointment and you don't have two years.
And then you're going to be like, oh, these last couple of years, I was just a nuisance on YouTube.
You don't need to be a nuisance.
You could be nice and respectful in the chat because you never know, like when life can just suddenly throw a curveball.
It doesn't sell.
It doesn't sell.
Listen to 10 pin.
I'm so glad he didn't play a fart noise while I was doing that, speak.
or the Jeopardy theme.
I would have really flown over and fought someone.
Yeah, that's true.
I mean, you did it on my announcement that I had a colostomy,
you played fart noises.
That's on brand for you.
That's perfect.
It was.
Made you laugh.
Yeah, I don't take myself too seriously.
Okay.
So anyway, we got that in the last update before we move on.
Yeah, boy, you missed the joint.
What do you say, Tempe?
Listen, you got a new guy in here, crutchy.

That's so cool.
That's good.
I have a story about that, by the way.
I was a kid actor.
I was new.
It was like the first ever part.
And Christian Bale is hanging on the side of that thing probably for several hours.
Yeah.
And I kept jumping on his line.
I kept like I was so kid.
I was a kid.
And I feel like I heard the first Batman Bale voice because I remember at one point,
Kenny Ortega, the director was like, you can't jump.
You gotta wait for your cue.
I was just kid.
I was so nervous.
And I had jumped on his line one more time.
And he just launched himself off into the darkness.
And I just heard like,
like he was probably.
so annoyed that I remember as a kid and then like afterwards I said sorry and he was not he was
fine but uh he he I feel I mean he's hanging on the side of that thing and here's this little boy
this little kid that's like I just keep jumping on the line you know because I was just so it was
my first ever like part I had commercial and then that like and I'm on the Disney spot it was crazy
but that's pretty awesome um yeah dude bail it's great actor so we have all those reveals
Kevin smet's in um in newsies bay watch just bringing out the hit
here the last couple days and then we have um today oh i guess you know you got some
information um as well too as i mentioned we have officially signed the contract with the guy who
are our Kickstarter campaign manager he has um spoke to me yesterday hoping by the end of the week he's
going to submit it we the way that the kickstarter works you got to submit it first you get approval
right and once it gets approval then you put like the pre-launch page out and then the launch
happens so the launch is for like september 1st september 2nd but like now it's you know so people know it's it's
moving um and as we've been saying i think like really we're aiming for like i said and we'll be
talking about it on every single freaking video but like 13 000 people putting in 25 bucks we make
the show um and that's and that's it we just and we just almost we're almost at 230 000
subscribers right now so we're hoping fingers crossed um it's a good script yeah thank you
Good script, man.
Thank you.
Let's get to, I mean, I don't even want to cover this story, but I guess we'll, it's fine.
The Lucas story?
No, Lucas will cover for sure, but it's like, Blue Beetle's going to be in the DCU.
I never saw, like, so I was so disliked about the DCU ending.
I didn't watch Shazam.
I didn't watch the new Aquaman.
I was just like, I didn't watch Black Adam, and I didn't watch the Blue Beetle because I was
like, why?
I get invested if they're not getting carried over.
And then James Gunn, you know, gets to cherry pick who he gets to put in his new thing.
So he got to pick a peacemaker and apparently Blue Beetle, huh?
He's in it.
Yeah.
And look, I actually liked a Blue Beetle movie.
I'm a big fan of Sholo, obviously.
And so I just don't know, like, what does it mean?
Like, I don't know how big of a story it is.
It's like, I guess the story is he's transferring over from the old universe, right?
He's transferring over.
So that's, that's the story.
what does it mean overall for manna tomorrow?
We'll see when manna tomorrow comes out.
Yeah.
Right?
Are some people hating on it?
I thought I saw like Grace Randolph didn't like it.
I'm like, why?
He's such a small character.
Like, if they ever get to their Avengers Justice League type movie and game,
he's going to be a guy that pops out of the portal.
And like, why not?
You got to fill that DC.
If you're going to have that character,
if he's already done a movie and it wasn't really that tied to DCEU,
that one doesn't bother me as much, you know?
Yeah, my question is too, is I like that he's in it.
The question is how long for what is it, you know,
what's, is it transferring over into more things?
Like, I just understand in general what it means for the future of the character.
Maybe it is because they're going to start moving into, you know,
bigger movies down the line that there is a plan.
So I don't know, but good for Sholo.
I'm rooting for him, but.
It reminds me of when James Gunn was talking about the DCU,
how like it's a world it's already lived in.
It's like Star Wars.
Like every DCU movie,
just because it's a solo movie
it doesn't mean that everyone can be it's like Star Wars
so like Hans in it Luke's it there's not a Luke Skywalker solo movie
there's just it was Star Wars everyone's in it and I think that's how he treats the DCU
you know would I rather focus a little more hardcore on Superman
and his trials and stuff like that but you just can't go back
once the first movie came out and it's just it's the
like that comic book powers and like the boys everyone
there's superheroes everywhere you can't go back on that
and do a really soloized movie at all.
No, I know.
All right, so we're going to switch away from that,
but we're going to stay.
Actually, Luke just sent me this story,
which is interesting.
People, especially anywhere in Hollywood,
just don't want this Paramount Winter Brothers deal to happen.
And it's now happening with the Writers Guild.
They are suing to block the Paramount.
Oh, my God.
That just came out today.
So everybody's trying to stop this thing.
And it's just, I just don't know why,
you waste the legal fees. It's just not going to happen. The Writers Guild of America is
reportedly suing to block Paramount Skydance as $110 billion acquisition of Warner Brothers
Discovery, according to rudders. The lawsuit filed in Francisco. Federal Court claims the deal
would reduce the number of buyers in Hollywood for films and TV shows jeopardize writers' livelihoods
and threatened the health of U.S. entertainment. The complaint states that with fewer competitors,
the Merge Paramount Warner Brothers entity would have both the incentive and the ability to lower cost by
suppressing writers wages and reducing output.
Writers will be paid less and have fewer employment opportunities.
Okay, after reading that, I understand why they're suing,
but I think it's a sue for, you know, saying, saying, hey, we care.
We know nothing's going to come of this, but we care.
Paramount has already responded to the Guild, which has 18,000 members across the
entertainment industry.
As spokesperson says that it has a deep respect for the WGA and its members and claims
a deal will have the scale and resources to reverse,
the current trends in our industry and expand opportunities for writers, not strengthen them.
there will be more development slates, more series, and film Greenlight, excuse me, Paramount Skydance CEO, David Ellison already pledged a while back to release 30 movies per year across both studios and keep them exclusively in theaters for 45 days.
The case arrives just a day after California and 11 other states also sued to block the deal.
So this is, you know, it's an effort to try to block it from everybody.
And the parliaments, I think, handled it in the way like, listen, no, we promise whether or not they stay true to their deal.
or word who the hell knows but like no no we're not going to do that you'll you'll see um i just
there's a lot of it's just not going to happen right now i don't think that the courts are on
the i think the courts are going to be on the side of paramount and ellison you think i think so
yeah it's all politics man because this deal is a deal too it's like at some certain point
i don't know the courts need to approve it but they the idea of you know these other companies saying
this is our case of why this won't be good for the business.
And it's like,
you know,
and it,
it didn't seem like there was as much of a,
um,
stink about it when Disney did it,
right,
with Fox.
There was,
I mean,
there was definitely people who weren't happy about it,
but it wasn't to this level because of,
again,
the politics involved in it.
But the most,
it felt like with Disney one,
the most people were like,
well,
now,
how are they going to do the alien and predator franchise now that or whatever.
Like,
they were more worried about like the creatives,
where this one just seems like it's a lot.
of like legal stuff.
Yeah.
The merger is not a good thing.
It should be competition.
There should be.
But like the thing,
but the thing is,
now the question is,
would the Writers Guild and everyone else
had made the same types of blocks on Netflix?
The answer might be yes.
I don't know.
But I think that even if Paramount doesn't get it,
someone else is going to try to buy it again.
Yeah.
It's not like, oh, you know,
oh, we need more competition.
One was like, yeah, you're right.
We'll keep working at a loss.
Like, no, we want to sell this for it.
you know yeah you know what you turned my mind you change my mind let's work at a loss right right
you know i'll i'll stick with this job and take a big big old pay cut and just you know keep making
movies nobody wants to say sure why not you have nothing else to do look yeah i don't all that that
that guy i just stopped paying attention to because it just so many blocks and like that's doing and
stuff like that yeah peltie pop your head it pield just writes CNN CNN i mean that's why they want it right
that's what that's also what the big stink is too really well yes because they don't want
they don't want paramount to own it and if netflix if netflix Netflix wasn't trying
to buy cnn netflix was just buying uh the the the films and the tv and stuff too but
paramount's buying the whole kit and caboodle so yes that's exactly that's one of the main reason
i don't necessarily know if that's why the writers guild or maybe they've been you know again
And maybe they've been pushed forward to say, hey, we need you to sue as well, too, and make a claim for this, which I think their claim is, everything they said is a legitimate concern.
I get it.
But yeah, it's definitely CNN has a big part of it.
Good chime in.
Thanks.
Here's a technical question.
How are you seeing his private chats and then also the main comments on the channel?
Because in mine, there's a two tab.
So I would see a private chat light up.
Then I have to click it to see what he wrote.
And then I have to go back to the comments.
How do you do both?
what do you say what do you know
never mind
you don't
you want to know how you see PLD's
private chats but then you also are able to see
someone's comment when you like start making fun of them
or you know you're gonna check it I got to check private chat
and then I go to comments
oh so you do click it okay that's it
all right we're on the same page
all right last last one to talk about here
before we get into your games
and I want to talk about this because
this has been a conversation that continuously goes on
and I had mentioned that Star Wars thing,
and I thought of this,
because George Lucas now was asked about AI,
and his answer, I think.
I already saw people tweeting about it.
People weren't on board with it,
at least a lot of people weren't on board with it.
Here's what Georgie said.
And he said, yes to AI, no to fan feedback.
One of the pioneers of modern filmmaker celebrated 82-year-old Star Wars director
George Lucas has shared his,
one take on where movies are headed, takes bound to draw some controversy.
Speaking with the A. Rabbit's Foot publication in a rear interview,
Lucas has given an extensive interview, which he touched upon a number of topics,
including the use of AI and filmmaking, whereas much of the industry is pushing it back
against it, Lucas is very much embracing the tech.
Artificial intelligence means it's much easier for us to make movies.
It's very much like sitting here saying, well, I believe the horse in the buggy is really where it's at.
These cars, they break down, they need gas.
There's all kinds of problems with them.
And soon they'll be making them into tanks and then they'll be killing people.
It's terrible.
There's nothing you can do about it.
That's progress.
It's the future.
If you want AI that tells you when something is fake and where it came from, AI, can do that.
Humans can't.
We're not that smart.
The whole idea is that you're a human being responsible for what you say and what you do.
And if you're doing something that's illegally, you should be punished for that.
Whatever you do, you should be recognized.
It's just like real life.
That's not all, though.
As Lucas has also blasted studios for their over-reliance on fan feedback and
focus groups indicating they are detrimental to the filmmaking process. He does, however,
trust the opinions of his fellow filmmakers because he's aware of their perspectives and their
biases. I had a group of friends I went to school with, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola,
Steven Spielberg. We were all students in the same time, and we all know each other very well.
I know what their prejudices are. When I show them a movie and they make comments, I know where
they're coming from. I don't like focus groups. The audiences don't know what they want to see.
If they don't like a character that's interesting, as a filmmaker, I want to
find out why, but when the studios hear that, they take the wrong message. They let the audience
actually make the movie. Of course, now they go crazy with that. Now it's all about what the fans
saying. That isn't how you make the movie. You make a movie by finding someone that knows how to make
movies that is a story to tell and is passionate about it. Lucas himself has been on the receiving
end as a brutal fan feedback for his Star Wars prequel trilogy, even as a wider audience sentiment
towards the prequels has gotten kinder over time. He touched upon that again here. The critics and the fans
who were 10 years old when they saw the first one and 13 when they saw a second one complained that
they didn't want to see a children's from well that's terrible jar jar's terrible everyone said the same
thing about r2 and c3 p o i don't think that they did no no i don't think that's a little bit
revisiting i think that's yeah that's that's actually that's i don't remember that at all show me that at the
at the beginning there was a huge push for me to get rid of c3PO maybe that's where it's coming
from for from like the studio and then the third one people said the same thing about the
the ewarks what are you thinking get rid of these teddy bears we want to see an adult movie well it's a
kids movie it's always been a kids movie um Lucas most recently screen most recent screen
effort was an executive producer on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny back in 2023
his last directorial effort was Star Wars episode three rends of the set comments come as the most
recent star wars mandolorea and grogou has set a release date of july 21st um there's a lot in here
i agree with there's a lot in here i don't agree with there's a lot in here that i um let's see
Yeah.
The first part, you know, when you touch on like the AI side of it, I am on the same idea and I have been, which has always been a pushback from like the audience in general.
Soul style, I'm looking at you.
Wherein it comes to the idea that these tools are going to be here.
People should embrace them.
They're going to get passed by.
You shouldn't abuse them.
You shouldn't like let things, but they're going to, they're going to be here.
And eventually you will get passed by because.
they are going to be embraced.
And I think that's essentially what George is saying.
And I think that that's why Kathleen Kennedy and other people are getting involved
and all those things too.
It's inevitable.
It's inevitable.
So he's not wrong there.
I agree with the focus group stuff in a certain aspect.
I think when it comes to listening to, you know, the audience,
there's a part of it where you're like, okay, well, we showed this,
we showed this movie to X amount of people,
and they all thought that this moment,
90% of them thought that this moment
didn't work.
Look at like Rambo First Blood, right?
The audiences did not respond.
It's not called Rainbow First Blood.
It's called First Blood.
They did not respond to Rambo dying.
Thank God.
And even though they changed it from,
the book is significantly different to how he dies.
The audience did not want to see Sylvester Stallone die.
In 1983, the top of his popularity, and the studio said they didn't.
They rejected it.
Everybody rejected it.
Let's change the ending.
I get it.
Now, there are times, and I think George is right, where you see things like, oh, well,
they said this.
So that means the studio execs start becoming the cooks in the kitchen and messing things around.
And that's why you might get a jumbled mess like Supergirl, right?
Yeah.
So I think that that's true.
Now, the other stuff, the Star Wars stuff, still, if Star Wars was just for kids and
always been a kids movie. It wouldn't have been the highest grossing movie of all time at the time
that it was. Yeah. Clancy Brown was not a kid when he saw the movie. He was like 18, 19, 20 years old.
There were tons of people, although they responded now, he could have been geared towards
that kids adventure stuff. But the original Star Wars movies played to everyone. So I would even challenge
George. If I sit in a room with him, I might challenge him on it. Even if I mean, the picture of all those
people lined up around the Chinese theater. Yeah, that's not just a kid's movie. That's, that's universal.
now you know getting his head chopped off in the cave and dougaba is not a kid no no you look anacan being
burned alive it's not a kid it's not a kid it's not a kid there are there are elements for ever jar jar
numbing his lips and that electrical that was a terrifying right what he did was he what i admire for him
always will is that he was inspired by those buck rogers flash gordon stuff as a kid and and
in his mind was like that's what he responded to as a child as a kid so he made
the Star Wars movies for himself at that age
for those adventures that he responded to.
But even, you know, it's like,
that doesn't mean that you can't respond to it in general,
but the main topic of the AI side of it.
PLD, what are you feeling that your Lord and Savior,
George Lucas is embracing AI?
Are you, uh, did you return your card?
No, I never return my card.
So what did you really think about Manilorian and Groves?
Right.
Dinks. No. Clip that out.
Clip that out. Clip that out.
Clip that out. Yeah.
No, I just, I feel like a, it's always been George Lucas's vision to look forward to any kind of technology that can help filmmaking.
I'm not thrilled with him loving AI, but I think at the same time, I think it's more of less about not generative AI, but more about how can I do this to make my human films work better.
I think that's the way we got to go. I do agree with them that it's out, it's already out there.
We can't put back into the bottom.
So I think with that in mind, I think this is probably the healthiest way to go about it is to look forward and say, okay, well, how can I use this?
But keep humanity at the soul of filmmaking.
It's like what Ben Affleck said.
It's using the tools within your tool.
Like the best, the most responsible way to use AI is if you shot a scene, like let's say for you, Christian, you shot a scene for your pilot.
And it takes place in a comedy club.
And you have all the assets already.
You have your actors in the crowd.
You have the film, everything in there.
And then you forgot to do one.
side shot of your character leaving or something like that in all of your assets that you shot that
you own is in the system and it works off a model that only uses that stuff where you're like cool
now I can do that right aside reaction shot of christian leaving the stage or whatever you can do that
but that's stuff that you shot right i understand when the thought concept of like that when like other
people like you know likenesses are being stolen but like the ben affleck angle of it's a tool in the toolbox
especially if you have a movie and you've shot for 180 days and you load everything
into the system and that's what the system is trained on is everything you shot, that's a
responsible tool in a way to use the AI responsibly because you own everything.
And not sure, like, look, here's the other, this is one of the things too. Like, as I, as we, as I keep
mentioning where we're going, we should be in the pre-launch stage for the Kickstarter in August
with the launch happening in September. One of the things that I wanted to do with the characters
is that, like, because Martini and I are the two leads of the show. And I'm the third lead, but yeah,
and then, you know, when we have these moments,
with the two of them.
I have a picture of her when she was, you know, 20 years ago.
I picture me a 20 years ago, right?
But I don't know how many pictures of us together back then.
We knew each other.
But, and it's like if there's a way to like show the two characters back then together.
Yeah.
And show the audience.
Well, this is the moments that they went through, like little assets like that.
I've sent you stuff like that, PILT.
Yeah.
And it's, and it's like storyboarding, you get a vision of like the character itself.
I don't know about like tools and shots and videos that I'm not there yet.
I understand your point.
I don't mean like I don't want you.
I'm not saying like, oh, every extra that was in that crowd is now at your disposal.
I'm just saying if you're the in the shot and you're like,
fuck, I really need a shot of like the foot leaving the stage or something like that.
Those are things that like you could do reshoot.
Sure.
But what Ben Affleck's talking about is that AI, you could just load every one of your assets that you shot a set.
You built a set.
And now you can't rebuild a set for a reshoot.
but I need this one specific shot.
No, I get it.
I understand what you're saying.
I just,
I think there's going to be different ways
people use it.
Did you see the Star Wars one that I sent?
I mean, I sent it to you late last night.
When you,
I'll try to remind you.
Yeah, you did, but I did it.
Mark, they have Norman Reattis'
character.
They do air to the empire that Chronicles did.
And they have Norman Redis.
You always talk about the acting.
This guy got the acting down of like Norman's
Rita's character talking to Mara Jade
and just saying like,
hey, I don't care about where you came from.
No one cares it.
And if you're a fan of like the,
the novel and you're like damn man like
that would be a good
you should watch it it's like five minutes into that video
I sent you last night. All right
all right listen
let's get these questions
because we got questions.
It's time to get into it. Oh wait no, we get your games
got to do the games. Yeah we're
that's the hell my turn, bro. Should we got to do the games
I was going to go right to let's let's uh yeah
I think man
I don't know if we have enough has it how many
questions do we have 42? We might
have to skip this gauntlet again.
All right, let's skip the goal. Let's do the new games.
Yeah, I got some new games. So this will be fun, guys.
We'll skip the gauntlet, best musical themes.
It's always going to be around.
Yeah.
So I'm excited for this next one.
This is a Kevin Smet special.
Oh, that's not it.
All right.
Oh, yeah.
So it's going to be called pixel cinema.
So if you go to pixel cinema intro.
And forgive me if I am long-winded on this intro.
Is it a video or a picture?
No, no, it's a video.
Pixel Cinema.
Oh, it's video.
I see it.
I see it.
I did the sound design on that. I'm proud of that.
It's good. Yeah.
Actually, took some time yesterday to actually do that.
Pixel.
Taking some time now to intro. Yeah, go ahead.
Yeah, so everybody get a play, get out, get a pillow, and get ready for my explanation.
Now, this is easy.
Christian, two of my favorite things, movies and video games.
So there have been plenty of video game adaptions of movies.
Most of them are terrible.
Some of them are really good.
So we're going to see if you can guess the movie from the screenshot of the video game.
Oh, I like that.
each movie we're going to do has three screenshots.
The first one I think makes it kind of hard.
Second one gets a little easier.
And then the third one, I think to me, is a giveaway,
but it might not be a giveaway.
Try to avoid the chat because I think a lot of people will be fans of these games.
And so we're going to go for the first one and it's guess the movie.
Is it called Hint one?
GTM one.
GTM one, that one?
Yes.
And I'm going to start a little easy at first.
And we'll get in.
So everybody kind of goes,
do you know, Christian,
what video game or what movie this video game
is based on.
Is this from the Atari 2,600, by the way?
I think I do.
I think I do.
First guess, because you get double points
if you get it in the first hint.
I think I know.
Okay.
Is it Superman?
I used to play that game.
I used to play that game all the time.
Remember that game?
Yes.
Go to hint two and three,
and you can see, because I start making it easier.
So you got that?
Yeah, I mean, that obviously, that's their giveaway.
That was the hint.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I used to play this game.
Yeah, you'd go.
I used to play.
That's all I have.
Go to image one.
The gimmick was an image and hint one.
The bridge gets blown up by Lex Luther and then you have to find all the pieces of the bridge
and put the bridge back together.
I mean, how far have we come?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Superman.
Okay, it's going to get a little hard.
That's a good, you know, good starter here.
A lot of people wouldn't have got that.
I used to play that game religiously.
Yeah.
And I remember the, I just remember the box cover and it had like the, I think the John
Burns, Superman flying.
I was like, oh, it's cool.
I mean, imagine the imaginations we had back in the day with these games.
You have to remember how people don't understand.
Like Superman was like my Star Wars when I was like, it was, it really was.
Oh, really?
I did.
Oh, too.
I love.
I have somewhere at my dad's basement in Florida, there is a card that I gave him for Father's Day one year.
I said, hey, you're a great dad and Superman 3 is coming out today.
Can we see it?
so um anyway that's the one with uh prior prior and it was stunk movie stung i thought they had the video
game part atari by the way funny enough Atari had a deal with them so the the graphics of
superman flying with all the missiles that was a deal they had with Atari because they were doing
the Atari game but i definitely remember that Superman again all right so next one all right here
we go here's game number two we're going to get a little now i'm going to give you triple bonus points
It's that 5,000 points if you can name the console too or if it's arcade.
You can either arcade or console.
So here we go with GTM 2 hint 1.
Gtm 2.
Really use your brain for this.
I see it.
I'll figure out a better way to name them, but.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, I know what this is.
Wow.
I used to play this game.
Tell me your thought process why you know it is.
Because I played it.
Because I used to play it a lot.
Oh, because you played it.
You're a big gamer, dude.
I was back in the day, but I know exactly what this says.
Okay, what is?
Come back to you?
What game is?
this. This is diehard.
Yeah.
I used to play it. And was it, was it, was it, was it, was it, was it the first PlayStation or was it, or was it, or was it?
It was in the arcades and then it was on the Sega Saturn. It was a Sega was.
Go to hint two because you see the hit, but I started getting a little easier.
Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then hint three, you would have gotten it by now, right?
Oh yeah. I got it on the, on the, on the first. This hint three.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I used to do that. That gave me, that gave me such flashbacks.
I used to play that game.
I swear to God, I'm not cheating.
I swear to God I'm not cheating.
Yeah, I mean, I'm so far off away.
I swear on anything, I swear on anything ever in my life.
LD, did you show him all these?
I swear.
I swear.
Remember, because he's the other thing.
I can't, there's someone that you're looking at the chat.
I got, I got the answers right before.
You guys are on a delay.
Yeah.
Also, and none of the hints have the name of the only one that has the actual answers
are my notes.
Yeah, what's fun about cheating on this game?
I've actually, the two games that he chose, I actually did play.
I promise.
Well, let's see.
We're going to go for, I have a feeling you're going to get this one now, too.
So we're going to go to GTM 3.
Hint one.
Here's your third game.
This is a video game based on you.
Okay, so here you go.
So this, I'm going to, I think, I think I know, but I don't.
You want to wait for hint two or you think you got this?
I don't think.
Yeah, and they're based off movies?
Everything is going to be based off a movie.
And you could even try to guess the console.
Well, was it based off of a game first into a movie or was based on?
No, it's always going to be the movie came out first.
And then they're like, hey, let's make a game based on the movie.
I need a second one.
Okay.
Oh, this is so obvious to me.
I mean, it looks like Mel Gibson.
Huh?
It looks like Mel Gibson.
Yeah.
All right.
Don't look in the chat.
Chat.
I'm not.
I'm not looking at the chat.
I would say, let me see who got the first one in the chat here.
I'm going to give a shout out to whoever first and the other.
Let's go to the third.
Oh, now I know.
Yeah, right.
That's Rambo, right?
No.
No?
What is it?
No.
What is it?
Go back.
Same actor.
What movie does Rambo climb the side of a mountain?
First blood.
You're going to kick yourself when I say the answer.
And John, let's go.
Yeah.
There's your hint.
Oh, cliffhanger?
Cliffhanger.
I didn't know they had a cliffharing.
They had a total, like, beat him up double dragon game.
I had no clue.
Is that Stallone doing a flying joke?
Well, that's why I mean, I'm trying to trick you on that first one.
But the third one is like he's literally hanging on a cliff.
I was going to say double dragon.
Yeah.
But then when you said it was based off a movie.
Yeah, it's a double dragon clone using the cliffhanger.
Like an audience jinxed me.
It was two for two.
I blew that one.
All right, next one.
You could redeem yourself with this next one.
Let's go to GTM4, hint one.
Jim four.
This one, by the way, I owned.
I got as a Christmas gift,
and I was so excited,
and I was utterly disappointed that it was about two hours later.
Well, there's a ghost.
It's a stinker.
There's a ghost chasing this person.
It's a ghost chasing this little,
this blonde character in a basement.
Okay.
I mean,
any hint so far?
But the blonde is a gun in her hand?
Looks like a gun, right?
Okay, let's say that too.
Okay.
Now, wait, that was that too?
Oh, no, no.
So you're too far.
What are you doing?
I'm not doing that.
I didn't even, where is it?
Is this two?
Gtm.
For hint two.
Gtm.
Oh, the crap.
Even chat doesn't know.
Chat, let me tell you, I was so disappointed in this game.
All right.
Someone got it.
All right.
So,
no, no idea what's this.
Next one.
I want to give you one.
I'm going to give you a, well, let's see if you can get it on this third one.
All right.
What's the third one, people do?
Let's see.
Oh, I know what it is now.
All right.
Now I know.
All right.
All right.
What you got to?
Let's hear it.
It's home alone.
Home alone.
Yeah.
Because the game was.
Pesci gave it away.
Pesci and the stuff on the floor.
But I guess if you go back to, I mean, the guy on the left, who's that supposed to make?
So in the game, they have random mobsters.
Right.
Retrolling all the floors of the mansion.
And then there's ghost in the base.
Right.
So I wouldn't, I would.
Unless you play.
That's, that's the beauty.
100%.
Unless you play the game, unless you wouldn't really know it.
I didn't play the game.
Until you get to that third one.
Until you get to this.
I mean, that's clear.
That's clear as day.
Because some of these games, dude,
how about this?
I got to save,
I can't save it.
I got to,
because it's three weeks from now.
The Star Wars game that came out for the Sega mat,
no,
the Nintendo Nest,
but it was only out in the Famicom.
Yeah.
You,
when you fight Darth Vader,
you fight Darth Vader at the bottom of the sand crawler.
And when you hit him for a certain amount of points,
he turns into a giant lobster.
And then you have to fight like a giant crab slash lobster monster.
All right.
What's the next one?
All right.
And then we got one more.
Let me know in the chat.
if you guys think this is a fun game or not this is for the Atari 2,600.
Don't get any wrong ideas.
This isn't one of those porno games.
Penny Barber's Atari games.
What is this?
Yeah, this is going to be a tough one.
The fifth one's always going to.
This is round three, bro.
Who's the little dude in the dress?
All right, what's the second one?
In two.
Wow.
Does anybody going to get it?
Man, we got gamers in the chat.
I'm so proud of the gamers in the chat.
That's crazy.
the chat
the chat messed me up we'll give you
well let pl d pld you could always be the one to give the hint
if you what's the third let's say the third
third one's not going to be any more help it's just an Atari game
so it's like all right
no I don't know how about this it's based on a horror property
is it the shining
no
no Jason
no it's Texas chainsaw
mass cow in the world does that look like Texas
chainsaw mass
look at it because he has his chainsaw
that's his chainsaw
that's a chainsaw
it looks
do you know how messed up that game is Christian
you run around and you chase the little girl
to chop her up with your chainsaw
that is the stupidest thing I've ever seen
like a penny barber
a lot of Penny Barber
so what was the
that is hilarious
yeah well there it is that is pixel cinema
I hope you enjoyed that fun game
I have fun with it
that was good
that's good
like a game you yell at me on the air
No, no, I like that.
I like it.
You can turn that into like a big, like a big long short.
Yeah, no, I think I would do like a like a like gauntlet.
Like the full, yeah, like the full, every, I wouldn't do three different or four different
shorts.
I would just do one short with all the games.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
But just put, I guess I guess you'd have to show my first two great ones up top and then
I shit the bet all the way through the rest of the rest of the rest.
Yeah.
Well, you had a good start.
Well, I did start them easier.
And so, and also if anybody who ever wants to DM me on, if you have any movie video games,
you'd love to see.
in that game definitely let me know so yeah there's quite a few i mean there's there's things and i think
that that's one of the things that you could be able to do like there's one that's a trend right now that
people are something like whether it's your actor actress whatever too and um so and so and so so and so
and so the gauntlet type stuff but i think that when they put the pictures up in this way that we
could do it next time too which would be yeah where you can be on it because i'm worried that some
of your answers you're not on camera so it might be um yeah we'll figure out we're all
you're going to do it that's right so um all right that we're going to do another
new game.
Okay, go ahead.
This came from, Christian had an idea for this, so he doesn't know what the topic is,
but I really want to see if this could frustrate him, because I love frustrating him.
That's not it.
But even Roka texted me, who is that Jack guy in the background?
I do not know.
That's hilarious.
It's like the Hulk.
This is called, go to Blind Ranking Logo.
Okay, hold on a second.
There it is.
Now, there's got to be another way.
I wish that we could have an on-screen prompt as we go through this, but Christian,
this is Blind Ranking.
The way it works is you're going to rank, this is going to be the, I want you to rank the top, the, these are going to be five television shows, sitcoms.
Oh, I see what you're doing here.
Okay.
And you're going to have to blindly rank them.
So when I list one, you have to put it one through five.
And there is no, once you place it, you cannot move it.
Sitcoms, not dramas.
Sitcoms, not dramas.
So, and you're got to have to predict that maybe I'm going to, what I think or I did, I did use basically, I did go get the data from a bunch of different top.
10 top five.
So is it easy for you?
Like, oh, you're going to have to save something.
I will.
I will.
I know.
Is it easier for you to, uh, short wise to take the lower thirds off or they
doesn't matter?
You don't need the lower thirds anymore.
If I do a short out, I would just ding ding, like I would list it.
Like, you know what I mean?
I would do it graphic wise.
I would love to have, I mean these lower thirds we can take off.
Yeah.
It doesn't matter.
Yeah.
All right.
All right.
All right.
So guys, uh, in the chat, let's see two.
Now remember one through five once it's placed, you can't move it.
I'm going to make it hard on you, Christian.
The first sitcom that you have to rank in the top five is I Love Lucy.
It's a good one.
Is this personal favorite or like to what I think like what it's done for television in general?
Oh, man.
I mean, these are your personal favorites like because I want you to suffer when you like didn't give your favorites.
I would put it then I would put it then at at five, not for any disrespect just because it wasn't the ones that I was going to
check out all the time, but I respect it and I respect her tremendously.
Aren't you going to be mad when I put a Big Bang Theory above it then?
I'm just kidding.
I know.
Okay.
So the second one you have to put somewhere.
So we have a I Love Lucy now is locked in at number five.
Let's make it a little more interesting for you.
The sitcom Friends.
I probably put Friends at Two.
Friends at two.
Okay.
Yeah.
So.
Friends of you.
There's just so many.
So many.
I mean, I still.
I still.
I wonder what you're thinking is your number one.
Don't tell me, but you can tell me later.
I know you're hoping that it's,
I'm hoping it's an area I'm going to wind up being some shitball thing,
but I'm going to,
but I'll go ahead and put it.
Like the rest I just give you,
you know,
yeah,
the rest I just give you a bunch of shitty sitcoms and you're like,
fuck,
okay, excuse me.
Jeez, language.
Um,
the office.
So we have number two,
number two is friends.
Number five is I love Lucy.
And where do you put the office in this top five?
Office I would actually put,
again, this is person.
I have such different tastes than other people when it comes to sitcoms.
I really like The Office, and every time I watch it, I enjoy it.
It just didn't go out of my way to watch it in the same way that I did other shows.
So right now we have a two and five.
I would put the office at number four.
Four, okay.
So we got friends at number two.
Four is in the office.
Funny, that was on my list too.
I didn't even put them in any sort of order.
I just, four is the office.
and you have five with I Love Lucy.
Now we get into the nitty, goody, 80.
Yeah.
So you have three down.
There's two more to go, Christian.
Seinfeld.
People are going to hate me to this.
Most people probably think I'm holding out for Seinfeld.
It's another thing.
I think you're holding out for another one, but I...
It is.
I don't think it's going to be in there.
But I'm going to say that Seinfeld is number three.
Again, it's very similar to rest.
I appreciate Seinfeld.
I think it's one of the greatest,
made succumbs all time.
I just never went out of my way to watch it.
Yeah.
Interesting.
So let's see.
I either took a good gamble here.
I'm going to wind up getting Big Bang Theory is number one.
Gary Unmarried.
Actually, I like Gary Unmarried.
No, I think you're holding out for what is for mine, my number one.
So let's see for one number one.
A place where everyone knows your name, Chiefs.
Yep.
Good.
I was right.
That's my number one.
That would be my number one.
should be my number one it had the perfect mix i'll tell you what there are elements of the
the diane and sam dynamic that i have thought of for from my show i think i texted you when i
first thought i felt like it was sam and diana the one thing that doesn't um uh play as well these
days uh is the slap back and forth member uh from season one or whatever oh we he slapped sam
and then sam slaps her right back they could never do that no no not not no unless you show connery
AI, Sean Connery.
Number one, cheers.
Number two, friends.
Number three, Seinfeld, number four, the office, and number five.
I love Lucy.
Christian, there's your top five.
Yeah, I mean, I would stick with it.
There might one reverse.
I could maybe move Seinfeld in the office around.
Yeah.
But, but yeah.
All right, I got two more quick Smets games.
They're old school style.
Go ahead, go ahead.
We'll go to SG1.
There's no images here because screw it.
I couldn't get anything with Spider-Man on there that didn't look ridiculous.
Only one, this is basically F Mary Kill.
One gets your opening night ticket.
One waits for streaming and one you'll never watch.
You've already seen the Odyssey, so it's a little.
That's hard.
But you're going to have to pick one of these that you're just dying to see with an opening night crowd.
And then one that you'll have to watch on your couch.
And then one that you would just basically never be able to watch ever again.
That's brutal.
And I'm definitely.
Yeah, because I know how much you love the Odyssey now.
It's brutal and I'm going to take the cheap way out of us.
Because I already saw Odyssey.
Because if I never have to say, I want to see it again, but I've seen it.
So I'll have to say that's the one I'll never see again because I've seen it.
So by luckily, if you didn't ask this question a week ago.
Yeah, I'm curious what it would have been a week ago.
It doesn't matter. That's not the question.
Yeah, that's because this was replaced when we had Chris on.
The Spider-Man and the doomsday one is tough.
Um, I think, though, that I will take Spider-Man in the theater, Doomsday at my house
streaming because I know that Secret Wars is next and I can see Secret Wars in the theater.
Always figuring out little ways to get out.
Loopholes or we'll close. Spider-Man, I don't know if we'll be able to see in the theater.
Again, I assume I will, but I want to make sure leading into it, I can.
So that's why your answer is absolutely wrong.
Um, remember the portals moment in the theater?
Were you in, I know, I know.
Do you remember how it was for your theater?
Because it was insane.
And how many of those portals-type moment are going to be when you feel like...
Yeah.
Do you know why?
I think the other reason why is that I've seen a trailer for Spider-Rand.
I haven't seen a trailer for Doomsday.
Yeah.
I would pick...
Close to you.
I would pick Doomsday in the theater.
Oh, man.
But then you have Odyssey, IMAX.
Dude.
It's such an experience.
It's incredible.
Yeah.
Wow.
All right.
I've got one more on this lovely last Smet's Wednesday for a while.
SG2. This was a little more prominent last week.
Who is that supposed to be?
That's you.
Come on.
With the Yankees hat.
Forced to choose.
Christian, the U.S. men's team either wins the 2030 World Cup, but the Yankees
cannot win the World Series for the next five years.
Think how much that would be important for U.S. sports, right?
The United States of America, go us.
Or the Yankees win the World Series this year, but then the U.S. men's team are guaranteed
not to win any of the next three World Cups.
So we're talking over a decade here.
I'm going to let the chat guess.
I'm going to let the chat guess what I'm going to say for this one.
You have out of all of the questions you have ever asked me.
Okay.
There has never been an easier question than this one.
I don't give a shit if the soccer team wins the championship ever again.
If they disbanded the soccer team and let and let.
PLD and eight clones of PLD play.
I'd say, go for it.
Yankees.
100%.
PLD.
PLD is a cold ghost.
He's playing against himself in a different outfit.
And the whole stadium is just a bunch of PLDs like Kang.
All right.
Bonus Smets game.
What's the score of Argentina versus U.S. men's team?
PLD is losing his mind.
He's losing his mind.
the council of PLDs.
They're cheering.
They're cheering outside of...
Pieldy scores.
Pieldy blocks.
Oh, discord.
You got to please.
If there was ever...
If there was ever...
If there was ever a Michael D.
thumbnail it needed to be made
or an AI video,
it's PLD playing against himself in the World Cup.
There's Fugahamiyu,
and then there's PLD on the men's world team.
100%.
So you're a big soccer guy.
Great.
Okay.
Yeah.
No, I don't agree shit.
Well, there you go.
that is the end of our Spets games,
at least for the time being.
I hope you enjoyed them.
And by the way,
my goal is to try to get some new ones.
Because remember,
now we're going to have a stable.
And we got Bracket Wars,
which I,
that's my favorite is Bracket Wars.
We got Bracket Wars.
We got Pixel Cinema now.
We got blind ranking and then we got the gauntlet and we have the go-to.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, good.
That was a good game.
I liked it.
We'll look forward for the shorts on that.
And there we go.
So let's get into the questions now.
We're going to do it.
Questions.
time, dude. Kevin's trying to beat, I think he's trying to beat Roka. If I win, I donate all of the
proceeds to Christian's pilot fund. So there you go. If you really want his movie to be made,
show. You know what to do. Show. Yeah. We're going to, and that's the thing. And we're, and we're,
that was the thing. I was already talking to the, the, um, social, or the Kickstarter manager. And I'm
telling you, like he's, I'm bringing him on the show pretty soon too. He's a really, really smart
dude um he he ran a campaign he ran he had like 10,000 subscribers really and he ran a campaign
for almost the same amount that we're looking for and he hit it with 10,000 subscribers
okay because he worked he he he just is he he he's a heavy worker good guy understands it
and really believes in the pilot so um yeah i think i think that it's going to be fun and you're
going to have a whole month of activities and stuff right it's what we're going to do yeah
I mean, I'm going to be, I mean, for a full month, I'm just going to be doing as much as I can.
And even starting next week on Monday, I'm going to start being a guest commentator on Campia show.
Are you?
No way.
On Mondays, I mean, it could be more, but I think he asked me to reach out.
I'm going to, I'm starting this Monday, shit, I hope I didn't ruin the announcement.
He's, I don't know if he already brought it up on his show, but if he didn't, I just spilled the beans.
So on Monday, I'm supposed to be on his show.
I'll be doing it on Mondays.
And I think that he said if there's other days too.
So I think during that 30 days,
I definitely will be on a bunch of different shows.
I should get him on here during that fundraiser month.
And we could do Smet's games with Campia.
I would have tons for him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's good.
Congratulations for doing that show.
That'll be awesome.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's get to this first one.
Got almost 50 questions here.
We start with Sam A.
If your 2016 cells are able to see what you're doing now in 2026,
what do you think they'll say and what advice do you think you give your pass?
myself as well. For me in 2016, my advice, quit. That's what I would say. Quit. Quit.
Collider. Quit and go and do your, please don't quit. If you quit Collider, then I'm not on the
Schmo down and then I'm not, the smash cancer thing doesn't happen. And my family goes, I'm living
in a cardboard box. Please don't. You have to, for me, don't quit. For you, I mean, if you, if I knew
that you were going to be okay, I, I would. Then you go. Yeah, there.
that I say quit.
But yeah.
And then see what I'm doing now.
It's just like my 2016.
So we're still doing a fucking YouTube show.
What are you doing, man?
I'm doing.
Or she write a show.
Yeah, in 2016.
Yeah.
What show are you trying to do?
The thing I just wrote two fucking years ago?
You're making that now?
You're so disappointing.
Yeah.
to answer your question i would tell myself to uh uh get get get into a freaking uh calla uh what's it called
get your colonoscopy oh they probably would have snipped it right out of there um but again the number
of people that i feel like i've reached since having my ostomy and everything uh i feel like everything
was meant to be the way it's meant to be even if i had to suffer for those nine months as long as it doesn't
come back man i'm good i would also tell my you know i would say too kevin it's true because
bringing up health.
My, my, well, 2016, actually, it was funny.
My buddy actually put me on this diet for a full year, but I wasn't working out.
I would tell, I would say at 2016, look, the way that you're eating in 2016, exactly,
incorporate that to, incorporate to actually working out too.
Yeah.
All right, next one.
Chupithing.
Came a member.
Good time to be a member.
Really good time to be a member.
I mentioned the two things that you're going to get is membership.
Not only you're going to get the Empire Strikes back.
I think today Peelty?
No, Thursday, Peeley?
Thursday.
Yeah.
Thursday, the Empire Strikes Back.
Unedited will be out as well.
I think on maybe even, I mean, I guess we can release this on Wednesday the same time that we
released the interview with Penny.
Penny interviewed me for five minutes.
That that's going to be exclusive.
I'm excited for that part.
That's exclusive for members and patrons.
So that'll, yeah, so there you go.
Did you like that reaction clip that, I mean, it was a sea of messages with me and Luke,
but did you like the way I did that, um, uh, Infinity?
wore thing with Sam for a short? Oh, I didn't
see it. Oh, whoa. I did it.
It's in the folder. You should post it
today to see what it is. I have to look.
Zachary Cooper.
Do I need to watch Superman and Supergirl
before Manna Tomorrow just for Jamie
Ray is my favorite movie. I mean, if you want to know
what's going on, yeah.
I think you're more of an attachment.
Yeah. I would say, yeah, you should.
I, uh, we watched like,
we watched all the toy story movies before
we took here for Toy Story 5 and just
all the little like, uh,
you know, subtle nuance, like the references, it enhances your movie experience.
So if you have the time, do it.
Yeah, please.
I'm going to ask this question in our next live stream too, but I'll ask you for the chat
as well.
As I told you, again, with the goal being $13,000 people, $25, what kind of tears would you want
to see to make you go, all right, I consider it.
Like that's, that's what I want to know from the audience, because especially you guys,
you guys are here every day.
So I need to- I can give you one.
Yeah.
I mean, and I'm not saying you need to be giving these people.
I think you had the idea for it.
But like, remember with my ill-fated, even though I knew Rachel going in, I still did your Patreon thing where I could have a meeting with you to get FaceTime.
That was because I was a big fan of the Jedi.
Yeah, yeah.
We're doing that.
Even though I could have just talked to Rachel and probably gotten in anyway, I still did the, and it was, I think it was like two months on the Patreon and then I got that audition or whatever, you know.
Yeah, we're doing that.
So we actually did that.
That was our, one of our most successful things we did on.
Patreon initially was a nightmare for PLD but we had to do the the scheduling I did one-on-one
like half an hour one-on-one sessions with members of patrons and we had a lot of people I think it was
always like filled up when we did it the problem was my time what it just it just wasn't
time it was just really hard for me to be able to schedule the and for PLD to lock down my
schedule to all do all these things before it was even doing reactions so it was really impossible
However, for the actual Kickstarter, we might bring that back, not only to do one-on-one sessions with me, but to do one-on-one sessions with, like, the director and other and writers and things that we're going to have on and do other things like that. That's something we're going to do for sure.
I was just thinking of Groundhog Day because I was like, well, hey, you could do a Patreon for me. They could have a quit UNA for me. And then I thought of like Bill Murray does it and everybody, but that's on him. And then you had Chris, the cameraman. Who played the cameraman? Chris. Chris.
And he's up on stage and knowing, yeah, Chris Elliott's on stage.
And like, everybody's like, uh, and that's like me like, hey, you could have a Patreon one-on-one with me.
And everybody's like, yeah.
Well, this is something we're doing.
Games with Smith.
We're doing this as well.
Sign script pages.
We're probably, we'll do that as well.
Definitely doing behind the scenes for sure.
And if you donate, Christian told me this off the air.
If you donate $10,000, Christian will get your name tattooed on his lower back.
No, you will.
No, me.
It was me.
I didn't sign the contract.
I didn't even read small print.
Yeah, yeah.
All right.
Ron H.
Happy Wednesday.
Oh my God.
I saw a trailer for I Play Rocky.
It looks amazing.
Sly baby.
Don't ever take less than what you think you're worth.
Fook those suits.
I'm telling you.
And the other thing is I'm getting in touch.
And this is something that I think the audience tell me if you'd be interested in this.
I don't know what the tier would be.
But my friend Aaron who makes shirts, I want to get a shirt that said, this is our show
with the name of the show like right underneath it.
But I want the audience to have a shirt that says this is our with capital O-U-R show.
And I can tell you this, because I talk to Christian off air, this is not some gimmick where he's like, it's your show.
Like, he really does believe and feel that this show is going to be all of our show, like, you, including you as a fans.
It's not him just trying to say some bullshit to get you guys.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
It's literally him how he feels.
And I think that's a beautiful thing.
Well, I feel like, I looked at it myself as like a viewer to where I could say, okay, if I knew, if I watched somebody, like, I'm going to use, I'm going to use Greenie from us as an example.
Greeny from Oz is in here all the time.
If I'm greening from Oz and I say,
okay, this person who I support
am watching is doing a show and I'm
interested in the show and I throw down my
$25 and that person says, yeah,
we're not going to go to the studio and
we're going to make this ourselves. We're going to get the cast
we want with everything. And then the show gets made
and the person does that and
does what they say that when it makes the show.
I'm going, I did that.
I did that. I helped.
I watched us. I listened. I watched a journey
and I helped. And that joke that I just
laugh that in five minutes into the show would not have happened unless I helped and I supported
as well too. And I made that happen. That's the power that these people like with backrooms and
Stuckman and Marky Plyer and all these people are paving the way to do because they're the
one saying, we're making this. You can distribute it. Give us some money to distribute it. Great. No,
you don't get to put notes in there. This is ours. And there, there we go. Because it wasn't even
me that came up with our show. It was someone in the audience.
and said it said it when did we make our shows i love that
yeah i love it it's great so um okay
just like the smet's games are our smet's games
ladies and gentlemen
uh
n s g m m m m a 4 680
i play rocky give me all the feels can't wait i mean i haven't been moved
for a trailer like that in a really long time
yeah yeah i'm trying to think of another one that moved like it's an emotional one
like dude i legit like tiered up when i want you know what
yeah does this remind it reminds you
me the way I felt, and I'm sure for you,
Chewy were home. That's what I'm like. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe the last time. This was very much a
different, um, this, this, maybe, maybe because it just feels so personal right now. And plus
the fact that I, and not only personal because of what I have going on with me, but personal
because of the, the, the emotional attachment and commitment that I've made to the Rocky franchise
over the last, like, you know, whatever, 20, 30 years. It's like,
I know, like, I felt like everything that I knew about it just came to life and I saw it,
but it didn't, it didn't feel like a made for TV movie.
It felt like it was just happening, you know?
So, um, okay, let's see.
What's the next one?
Um, and that is Ronnie.
Okay, I created a tool on Excel to help me with super chats.
I mean, less spelling mistakes and more pre-paired as chats.
another way to say Ron H is going to be unleashed and painless.
Oh my gosh.
Put those pants back on.
Why don't I feel like Ron H is going to be like the highest here of the show
that I'm going to be.
You got to be careful and not new one where it's like you get a role with a speaking part.
That's what I'm saying.
One of the role.
I'm going to be talking about Montreal next to Ron H with his pants off in the middle of the in the middle of one of my shoots.
I can't talk.
I talk to one of our investors.
He's got a pants off and he's rolling around in the back.
And then I get what's his face doing?
snow with his girlfriend and
and PLD's kicking soccer balls in the backyard.
Just with a bowl of tomato sauce in her right hand.
And just slapping shots like messy.
Even the windmill kick like Pele dude.
But he's kicking it.
He's kicking it with oop on his face.
Like he's kicking like messy.
But he's purely getting any fucking leverage off the ball.
It's just like barely bouncing.
And then the other PLD is
goaling and he jumps
and misses completely.
And the ball is so he's going so slow
anyways.
It's just like boom.
And he lands.
He goes,
I missed that one.
You missed the last 30.
This is why AI was finally made.
Not to cure cancer.
Holy shit.
It was really good.
Look at dude.
I'm not crying this.
Like I'm laughing,
but like I'm controlling the fog of my glasses.
No,
it was good.
Oh my God.
PLT Pele kick.
hilarious. Okay.
A tornado. Batman 2 delayed until
2028. It's only four months, but does this affect DCUs Batman?
Maybe at this point, why not just make RP the main Batman?
It seems silly. Look, same page.
Yeah. Same page. I think you're 100% right, but I just don't know.
Again, I think the Paramount stuff has a lot to do with it.
And James Gunn understand where he's going to be also has a lot to do with it.
Tony, Spence games is like Christmas every Wednesday.
go. Yeah, we're going to be without them for two weeks.
Two or three weeks. We don't know yet.
House, like a house without a Christmas tree.
What you say? Two or three weeks?
Two weeks is for sure, because I'll literally be not in the country.
Yeah, yeah, okay.
But the third week is going to be, I'll be fighting jet lag and a huge workload that week.
But we'll see. I'm going to try. How about this? I'm going to try.
All right. Tyler, Ruby.
Smets, did you see disclosure today? I'm not sure if I missed your thoughts.
Also, thanks for making Wednesday so fun. I look forward to it every week.
Yeah, I actually.
saw it with my mom over the weekend.
Oh, you did.
We saw matinee, a lot of old people
there, but it was like a crowded theater.
I'm like, still.
And I liked it.
It was the most John Williams
score of all John Williams score, right?
Like, I know exactly what you're talking about Christian
when you're talking about John William.
Like, it was just that John Williams
Spielberg connection.
And my grandfather
worked for the NASA program, so like
it means a lot to me.
I thought in the montage, it would have been really cool.
Remember the montage at the end with news
reports? I don't want to get too spoilerly.
But they have a montage at the end with news reports about everything being,
I'm not allowed to say it, I don't know.
But if they would have had a clip of the third kind and that would have made
that movie canon, that would have been great.
But also, Emily Blunt better get an Academy Award, at least nomination.
And the news anchor was great.
Fantastic.
Yeah, everybody's talking about her.
Mike Choice.
Why is the Blue Beetle played by a Blue Person?
Where is the historical accuracy?
Not respectful at all.
Well, well done.
Lincoln, please play the Bell
Smet's clip, Smash a Batman. We did.
We played it before. Yeah, when was
that? Was it? That was before
we played it. Yeah, scoreback.
You'll find it. You'll find it.
Greening from Oz, support D. Johnson,
thanks. Griffin Shaw Media.
Damn, Kev gone for a few weeks.
Gonna have withdrawals with Safe Travel Smash. We'll miss you, dude.
Oh, dude.
You know what?
Wednesday crew.
I didn't ask Luke this. I should have.
Luke, do you have the updated thumbnail for
today's Shmodown match? Because it's today,
it's um it's um it's um the it's the title match so ed i know you've been waiting for it but it's it's uh the schmose
versus um versus box office breakdown for the title in the finals of the season two which actually
carried into season three so that's up i'm so behind now and i mean i haven't even done a single short
on them run out of time don't don't worry about that right now that's focus on this channel for now
greenie from oz double jack on the rocks fund for the plane trip's next there you go thank you
you. I will enjoy that.
Ron H. Smet's sleeveless at Comic.
You got competition. Yeah, that's right.
Who's at Comic?
He's, uh, I, I think it's himself.
I'm talking to himself.
I think so. I am Jack's 1290.
The Batman, Penguin, Clayface, Lanterns,
all of that they belong in the same universe.
They are going to pivot.
Guns contract that's up in 2027.
That is a good question.
That is a good question.
If they could get, but the thing is,
does Matt Reeves want to commit
to the DC universe in doing that.
Because if he's, you know,
if he's going to do a Poison Ivy series,
if he's going to do Penguin part,
second season,
if he's going to do back to,
he can just give it to other people.
He didn't,
he didn't direct,
he was a producer,
but he wasn't even the showrunner on Penguin.
I'm just saying,
though,
you know,
being the person who navigates,
although I guess some could say
he didn't put his hands in the pot
in Pennsylvania.
penguin the way that James Gunn put his hands in the pot and Supergirl, and it seemed to work out pretty good.
Yeah.
So it would be interesting if they went that route.
I don't think a lot of people would argue with it.
When the timing goes, though, we're like, if you just say, okay, don't do the, don't do the cameo at the end of Clay Face.
And Lantern's is that grounded.
But then you do have Guy Gardner and Lantern, but it would be interesting because they are, like, the grounded.
Like, that could just be the different universe.
Totally.
It's complicated.
Ron H.
We are getting a new blade before Batman.
too. And a grand theft auto six.
Yeah, it's no shit. Sports
fan entertainment. Early Rotten Tomatoes
score for the Odyssey is 99%
on 78 reviews.
How will the haters still find excuses
to still not at least fairly click it out?
Here's what's going to happen. And I was talking about
I won't divulge who
was talking to you yesterday, but I had a conversation
with a colleague, someone I respect very much
on the phone. We were talking for a while
about it.
The question is going to be this.
What I actually took a screenshot of this last
night one of the stupid comments. This is the most stupid comments I've got on any out of the theater
or review in quite a long time. But here's one of the stupid comments I got last night that said,
when you say masterpiece to a movie with a 10 to 1 dislike ratio, it doesn't make me want
to subscribe. This movie's going to lose money in epic fashion. And you know it.
So, know it. You got me. You know it, bro. Yeah. So,
The thing is I don't know it.
Dumbum.
What I do know,
what I do know is that the movie's going to make a lot of money.
What I will say is because the same,
that guy,
even if you didn't see it,
is going to wind up,
you know,
giving it a negative review on Tomatoes.
I bet you the audience score is significantly lower than the critic score.
But I think that's going to be a lot of people who are,
you know,
and I don't ever believe in the whole,
you know,
review bombing and all that stuff too.
was like a movie's good,
movies good,
movie's bad.
I think that this is just one of those things.
I don't know what,
what's going on with it.
The thing that drives me nuts with it
is people haven't seen the movie yet.
Because what I've heard of,
the main complaints of what people are complaining about
with this movie is not factual.
Like,
and I,
and the one thing,
even today,
oh,
Elliot Page is playing the greatest warrior in Greek mythology.
None of my watch.
And it's like,
not my watch.
Like,
wait,
no.
Achilles is in the movie.
We need a super cut of you and all your voices for the super chats or for the chat for the chat idiots.
Not idiots. I'm sorry, just the chat misinformed.
No, my conversation that I had last night is going to be this.
If the movie makes $1.4 billion, which I don't think of all.
I mean, I said yesterday, I think we've got an 850 million.
Okay.
If it makes 1.3, what will the people who,
you know have been doing this campaign against that yeah what will they say will they will they
give it the win or will they find another way that they still think is a loss that's that's what
i'm curious about this movie's going to do very very well yeah um this is this is going to
to me i believe this is going to be a loss for for the people who think that this is going to
like that guy who says it's going to lose money uh that's you're going to be you're going to be wrong
Obi-Wan Kenoli.
Chaos said he feared playing Chandrew also.
Thoughts, Kev?
Yesterday they asked him about who.
Okay.
He said, he said Chandra.
He also said Chandra, yeah.
It's just, for me, like,
you don't, when you miss a question,
it's already gutting.
And then when you hear him cackling and laughing and peeling it up,
and you know he's so good that he's going to make you pay,
it was a really stressful thing.
I, like,
I just would never go in.
Yeah, that's what he said.
He said it was the way that he reacted by the end of it,
because he was always so good in character.
Yeah, and he was so good at it.
But, you know, I did have a,
if we ever had the live event, man,
because he's such the heel and I came back as such the good guy
coming back from cancer, I had on,
and we're never going to see it,
but I had on hand an all white hoodie.
I was going to do like the Sean Michaels at WrestleMania
for a live event and have a white hoodie,
like white glove, like coming in,
like the angel to take out the cancer,
the evil that was Chandrub.
But yeah, he was great.
And off the scene, like we were, we were close to him.
He's living, he's out, he's not in California anymore.
You know that.
Oh, where is he?
He's in, I think Colorado, man.
Oh, wow.
That guy is a genius.
I mean, he's like a rocket scientist, but like something crazy.
He's like, he's insane.
But yeah, much love to you, Chandra.
All right, moving on.
We knew that was happening.
Wait, let me put my glasses on.
They're all in the background.
They're all in the crowd, too.
It's like
So you'd rather watch that than like England versus Argentina today
100%.
I particularly like the one nation, one team, all me.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
That's really good.
It's really good.
Well done.
Perfect.
Okay.
Let's say that's perfect.
I mean, I guess I've been missing it.
I mean, I do sub about your clips.
What does Roka think about your anti-s soccer sentiment?
Oh, he laughs about it.
He laughs about it.
You're not going to do a live watch along with him?
Not unless I'm allowed to smoke pot and listen to music.
So I did the last time my wife was watching.
My wife last night was watching that Jennifer Garner Peacock show.
And I was just trying to access to television.
I was like, you know what?
I was going to go outside.
I smoked a little bit.
And I put up my headphones and just spoke pot and listen to music.
That's all I did.
I was listening to like scores.
And I just put my feet up on the table while she was watching, you know, this.
Oh my gosh.
You're funny.
You know what?
You could be a comedian, man.
You should have your name up on the comedy store wall.
Oh, you do.
Begill.
Hey, guys.
Christian,
you know I love you,
but Smet's are my favorite co-host.
I'm excited.
One finally,
after three years,
I'm completing my film.
It's awesome.
Protectors new beginnings.
And two,
my 32nd birthday is on Sunday.
That's amazing.
Happy early birthday.
Yeah, 100%.
Congrats on your film, man.
Somehow on X or whatever.
Let us know.
I just watch it or take a look at it.
Yeah.
Obi-on Canoli.
P.S.
going to miss you smash foodog homie who food talk howie he'll be gone he'll be gone less time than
roxy was away oh yeah roxy was gone for a couple weeks huh yeah roxy was gone for like four or five
weeks she's back now she's back on a movie shoot or just she's doing a whole bunch of different
things but she's back uh she's back next uh next week awesome i can't wait to do a show with them
that'll be that'll be a phone uh ron h um 4k webcams are kind of cheap
invest i got to get that from mike i'm telling you johnny betrisa how is brett doing he and mike would be
awesome yeah well my thing is brett brett i talked to him recently the thing of brett is that he shuts down
well shuts down virtually when we're talking movies because he just doesn't know the news he doesn't
watch the stuff too so it's harder and it was always easier for me i didn't give a shit when he was
in studio because i would bring him in and i know how to work with him in studio in you know in person
where he and i could just mess around and then it just turns into a bunch of
a bunch of bits. It's harder to do virtually. He's like Fred, you know. He is. And he's and he's, and so he's, I just, I miss doing
those moments because no one, no one riffs on my nonsense the way that he does and no one makes me laugh the same
way that breathless. I mean, it's just true. And so I just can't, I, but he needs to be in studio.
Because sometimes he just, he just, so's quiet. And I always say this and I, I stuck with, I said this
when me, him and Kate were on the show one day. I said, if Brett had, you know, like, um, that confidence
that say, you know, and Andrew Santino has, right?
We'd be, we'd be living in Brett's mansion right now.
We'd be doing the show from Brett.
Brett is the most talented, funny,
naturally funny guy have ever met.
Him and Rick Ingram, the two funniest people ever met my life.
And he just like, he just needs to get that thing, you know.
Yeah, he's just to believe that himself too.
He does, he does.
But I'd love to have him on, you know, a lot more, but it's tough.
Yoshimitsu, martial arts, Smet's game, you say?
Who is the best filmography?
Jackie Chan, Jet Lee, Donnie,
or Bruce Lee? Well, this is not fair for me
because my favorite is Bruce Lee.
Yeah, Jackie Chan would be close up there,
but Bruce Lee is just like the legend.
Like they're all, everything.
It's like he paved that way.
I do like Jet Lee and the Lee.
I'm not as familiar with martial arts movies,
so I don't want to misspeak,
but I know that I loved Jet Lee.
One of my favorite moments in the,
lethal weapon franchise is when jet lee's all pissed off in the rain and uh mertog and riggs get up and
they're all like yeah and they just look over and jet lee's just standing in the rain pissed because
like someone that he loved died or something and they're like fuck now we got to fight this guy like
you know what i mean and uh when he's helping mel gipson up and he's like i know he's pissed or whatever
yeah yeah yeah i love i love i think i'm butchering that part but yeah it was something like that
where jet lee had the fight the three of them yeah yeah yeah it was uh let's see hold i got another
Jackie Chan has so many movies.
I saw some in film school.
We had a martial arts like a couple of weeks.
And the Jackie Chan movie,
some of the ones that are just overseas that have been out here,
really funny.
And his stunts were always great.
He was always the guy that was always defending himself.
He wasn't necessarily attacking.
He was just always getting out of defending.
Speaking of defending.
All right.
Martial arts.
Oh, we did the one.
Right.
Eric Slaby, I might be in the minority,
but Digger doesn't look great to me.
A bit too chaotic, great colors, and more concerning.
It doesn't look funny.
I hope I'm wrong.
Listen, I don't necessarily think that that is a take that is crazy.
I don't feel the same.
I actually feel the opposite.
But I get it because that is a trailer that is all about particular sensibilities and what you like.
And if you like quirky, crazy, funny movies, if you don't like that kind of stuff,
this is not your kind of movie.
And it does.
It looks chaotic.
1,000 percent.
The colors do look a little grayish.
You're right.
And it doesn't look funny.
It looks funny to me in that Cohen Brothers type of way.
And if you don't, if it doesn't work for you, like a comedian,
like everybody finds a particular comedian funny.
I'm like, I don't like the way they deliver jokes.
That's fair, Eric.
Real fair.
Yeah.
Well, hopefully you'll go in and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Yes, that's true, too.
Yeah.
I went in with Supergirl, really low expectations, and I actually enjoyed it.
And it was probably because I had such low expectations.
Okay, let's see, August, Friday.
I feel like I have something on.
going on on August 1st.
I don't know.
Again, another message from my wife right in the middle of the show.
Nathan Drake, I feel like the DC won't survive if they have to wait until 2028 to debut their Batman.
I think Ellison puts the axe on this universe.
That's easier said than done if manna tomorrow is a huge hit.
The question, you, they've, everything is going to be looking at that 100%.
Tommy Lay, 1603.
I don't super chat a ton.
I'm a new dad with a five-month-year-old daughter.
Congratulations.
That's amazing.
both of you guys are girl dads.
What's some advice you can give for a new girl dad's or just dads in general?
Love you, boy.
Look, this is the, I guess, most cliche thing, Tommy.
And Kevin can probably also test this.
Take every minute and suck it in because it goes so fast and you don't think that it does.
But like you blink and you have a 14-year-old going in high school.
You literally took the words out.
She's almost six.
And we had a conversation this today in the car.
where she's teaching me about polar bears.
Yeah.
And like I just remember when I was holding her and she was the size of my palm.
Like it goes by so fast.
And I will say another one is like spend that time doing even things that are like like coloring.
She loves coloring or drawing.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
The little things that it will stay with them.
And I have a dear friend who just because I don't want to, it's someone that was from the schmodeown.
But she talked about her earliest memories are when she would color with her.
her dad and I always it always like hit me like that if she could remember that all these years later
and that's the things it's like that's what's important to do these little things you know what I mean
here loves doing Legos with me and yeah so right and that's and that's the other thing and at six
they do because again one one day I used to love doing Legos and then it's like I don't want to do
that and then you know iPad with their friends uh oh man yeah that's you haven't gotten through that
yet. Samir 84. Sam, in my opinion, is not going to like the prequels. So maybe getting that out of the
way early is a good thing. I have a fear that you might be right, but I have been cushioning the
blow in that it is all about lore and that these are skewed a little bit more on the younger
demographic side of things. So, and then I actually do think that that freaking Halpertine Vader thing
is going to help lead into it as well, too. So I don't know yet. I don't know, but I'm pretty sure
I'm going to stick with the with the prequels then you got to and I wonder what her opinion of
Vader will be after like the kind of you know some of the wissification a little bit of it but yeah
we'll see uh Sean McCabe would like to take a moment to wish my brother and sister happy
birthday same here 43 years of the triplet has been quite a while ride so far I'm sure it is that's
awesome happy birthday to you too my friend yes happy forward to the future love your Audrey love you Audrey
and Patrick Christian Smet's you the best and you the best Audrey and Patrick I'm assuming our twins or
fraternal twins, right? Same birthday.
But yes, happy birthday.
So triplets. Triplets. You just
see what he said to. Do you like Winston? Oh, I saw
the trip. Okay, relax. Settled down.
I would like to take a moment to wish my brother and sister,
happy birthday. All right. I see.
Okay, sorry.
Congratulations.
That's a really good job.
Very good. Hey, happy birthday to you, triplets.
That's, I wonder if your parents were expecting triplets.
I've always curious. If you want to chime in again,
And like when you were revealed to be triplets where they were like, because I can't imagine.
Right, right.
When we all of a sudden got triplets.
But three times the blessing.
Thanks, man.
Happy birthday.
Nathan Drake, Gunn should go back to horror.
I love Slyther.
And he might.
You know, he's, look, the horror movies when you're younger and then you're making, you know,
millions of dollars on your next films.
You stick with the ones to put money in the bank, unfortunately.
Nathan Drake, did we ever get the full Mott Shmo Man video?
You found it.
I found it.
We should do it, but we got to make them work for it.
Maybe during your...
You're making an exclusive patron video or members video.
I mean, it's, I watched it.
Like, it's bad, man.
I don't know if I want that out there.
Maybe, like, I could put together where I had edit some of the clips.
Like, it was just a disaster.
I went all in on a thing, and I think some of it was fun.
And I think, look, he didn't hate me.
He put me in the minors to get my butt back in there, you know?
So...
It's not funny.
Yeah, it's true.
It's a long time we're going to.
Tony Snark.
More support.
Love you guys.
Thank you, Tony.
Thank you, Tony.
Snatz resembles Tom Arnold when his hat is off, says Ben DeHoss.
Really?
Maybe with the glasses?
I remember when I had.
Rose Ann!
I had one.
Rosie.
Do you ever see that interview?
Well, you know what?
It wasn't on video.
It was just audio.
It was just audio.
Bonnie had new Tom.
So we went over to Tom Arnold's house and it was me.
Cool guy?
He was, he was fun.
Yeah, he was a nice guy.
It was me, Ellis, and we're sitting at his kitchen table, just doing an interview with him.
He was, we talked about true lies and other things.
And, yeah, DJ, on the lawsuits, it's a delay tactic meant to stall the purchase enough for the November elections.
There you go.
This purchase was hyperspeed fast track, considering the outside investors and a huge amount of debt they incurred.
Well said, and you, 100% make sense.
DJ chime.
Derek knows.
Derek knows this up, man.
That's anything about that.
Either betting on a house investigation, which will put on this on hold, which is a huge bet to make.
Because honestly, it could be way too late to hold this up with four months left.
Yeah, it's going to be very interesting to see how they play this.
And how it turns out.
I don't know.
Nathan Drake, do you think Sam will love Ray?
I do.
Yeah, I do.
I actually think that she's going to like the sequel.
I'm not going to say it.
First of all, we're not watching it until before Starfighter.
But I'm not going to give her any indication of how I feel about the movies at all.
I'll tell her afterwards, but I feel like, if I was to guess for, I'm going to say that she's going to really like Return of the Jedi.
I think she's going to really like return of the Jedi.
That's Mark Ellis's favorite one.
Yeah.
I think she's going to like, I don't think she's like, I don't think she's going to like Phantom Menace.
I don't think she's going to like Attack of the Clones.
I think she'll like Revenge of the Sith.
I think she'll love Jedi because she's going to, right after watching those, she'll get back into Jedi in that first scene.
with like, oh man, with Vader.
Yeah, I think she'll put you back on schedule.
She'd be like, yeah, we're back.
I think she'll like the trilogy, the new trilogy, I do.
Derek Johnson throwing support.
I think she, oh, by the way, thank you so much, Derek.
I think that's Derek's coming in, right, he's continued to come to in hot.
I get more from Derek coming up.
How are you feel?
How are you vibing early on?
You're doing?
I think you're doing pretty good.
But you know what I realized yesterday we were watching Empire Strikes back.
She loved, love Yoda.
love that might help with the prequels no no no it's gonna help her with mandolorean and grogou the second the second
freaking rogu shows up in man oregon she's going to you're not doing the show just are you doing the
no we're doing three we're doing three seasons of mannolian yeah but but we're going to do some
videos that are four episodes in one because some of them are 30 minutes so i might do like episodes
one through four as one video then there are something that like 45 minutes we'll do two there'll be
different ones leading up if she really responds to
to, are you doing, oh, you can't.
You didn't, obviously.
You didn't do the Vader show.
Are you doing the Obi-1 Canobi show?
Well, you know, what's funny about that is that I had mentioned,
I was highly, highly considering showing her your version of that instead.
And then.
I can get that together.
Could we make a reaction of that?
I don't even know.
I don't even know what the copyright is on it, though.
I don't know.
I mean, I don't think, though, because you.
I don't want to show it.
I don't know.
But yeah, it's interesting.
I don't want to show with the show.
I don't want to sit through the show again.
Our movie, like, we do take out one of the,
and I think we needed a longer version with that planet back in.
We took out the entire planet with the coats,
him hiding in coat.
Okay.
Because he had to make a two-hour movie.
Yeah, I don't, I don't want to deal with that.
Derek Johnson, gifted 10 memberships.
Thank you, Derek.
What does that mean when that happens?
So he basically, he's got, in the red means it's a higher,
PLD, the red means it's a higher tier, right?
Correct.
So it's a higher tier.
and so he basically what he does is you can gift memberships
and then YouTube then decides randomly who's in the chat
they get those 10 memberships so he put in 10 big
and what at what tier is that though
that I'm not sure that like the equivalent of like a $50 super chat like
what are we dealing with me more than that I don't know so
but but he follows it up with 10 more
and then he followed up with 10 more after that
so we got 30
30 new memberships
30 new memberships for, oh, look at that.
Any fans of fresh meat, ledge,
Jack White, not Jack White?
40 new memberships for people.
Wow.
Look at that.
Support Derek John.
Thank you, Greeny.
Appreciate that.
He's going to be the third lead in the show now.
Derek Johnson, I actually feel like I'm going to be sitting next to Derek Johnson
on my show.
I'm not even kidding.
I feel like Derek's going to be like the guy,
I'm going to be sitting next to talking about.
I'm going to be talking about DC the whole time.
Yeah.
Sending some support, planning to see Odyssey four times.
Good.
Let me know how it is.
Didn't I saw a tweet or X.
I'm so old.
Sorry.
Michael Kalanowski saw He Man four times.
Yeah, that's what he said.
I really liked it.
He's loving it.
He really did.
Did he like Supergirl?
He said it was okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
Next one.
Sluggerama.
Shit.
Eight months ago,
the question was asked well Michael gross one billion I said no perhaps a couple of
hundred I'm here to make good in a bet you're right I was wrong all hell Nathan Drake
supposed to be 100 one out of two you know is hold on and then he's well done that's all
you bet 100 so I had to make two super chats this really chaps my ars fair enough those are
two big super thank you thank you to Nathan there on that one thanks um yeah look I
initially said yeah it's making a billion and then I then I retract it on I said I don't know
if those opening numbers I'm not sure I flip flopped a bunch of different times so um
Hey, shout out to Princess Positive in the chat.
I remember she was around a lot more early on my early episodes.
So see you in the chat.
Princess positive is great.
Derek Johnson, I said a few months ago that I didn't have faith in this
Odyssey movie.
I'm going to see it this Thursday.
And if it's good, I'll eat all crow and admit when I'm wrong.
I know you do because you're an intelligent human being who is responsible and mature.
And it's one of those things that, and by the way, Derek, even, and if you don't like it,
you can come in here and you can, I know what you'll say.
You'll go, I went in, I gave it a shot, and I didn't enjoy it because.
then you'll give reasons to why you didn't like it,
to which you'll have a conversation again,
instead of just saying to someone else because they did like it,
agendas.
So there you go.
You know what I need to do?
Because these gifted memberships,
I need to get my,
because I don't have a free membership being part of the thing.
I need to put my Star Wars squad in here in the chat so then I could be in the,
in the running for a free membership.
Yeah.
So he gave,
he gave the $5 memberships to people.
So that essentially means.
That's, every time.
Well, what it means is that for those people who are now $5 members, what it means is that when
we do our live streams, the $5 tier and up, you can come in and ask a video question and
be on with us.
Oh, cool.
That's what every $5 member gets to do.
Here's a question.
Does it do auto repay?
So like, is he not keeping up?
No, it's not.
No, people, no, it doesn't.
But people, people would basically, he gifts it.
And then people, when they want to, like, you know, if they like what they're doing, they stay
on.
And they, that's awesome.
They stay on and they get to know what the membership's all about.
And so Derek's basically just giving them kind of like the gateway to come in.
Pat for president, my dad and I are excited to see The Odyssey tomorrow.
We're doing a rare IMAX viewing.
So many good words in the critics and reviews.
I remember reading it during ninth grade English, 2011 to 2012.
Pat, please, everybody who sees it on Monday are in this weekend, join us on Monday,
me and Roka.
And we're going to have a conversation and talk about it.
Cooley, hi, there he is.
Right. Star Wars Squad is in the chat.
Yo.
That's you, isn't it?
I want it. Here I am.
That's me. I'm hoping for a, I'm not doing a super chat.
You're going to stroke.
No, I just.
I'm trying to get that free membership.
You don't try to get that free membership.
What's up?
Fam, seeing Odyssey in Pensacola, Florida next Saturday and IMAX on vacation.
Also chat.
You get a chance, check out my book, living for purpose.
Yeah, we gave it a shout out before.
Cool.
Do it again.
Yeah, congratulations.
That's a cool.
Coolie, do me a favor.
Put a link.
And Pilly, if it goes to spam,
just unspam it.
But,
Cooley,
put a link in the chat for Amazon so people can go and check it out.
And Pildee,
just make sure you,
you can see.
By the way,
I saw Ed in the chat earlier and he messaged me.
He wants to be an admin for the,
the Schmodown Facebook thing.
You need to chime in on that.
I don't know how to do any of it.
Oh, you took care of it?
Okay,
thank you.
Nathan Drake.
Is PLD more like Fred or Baba Booie or ha ha ha ha.
PLD?
PLD is more like Fafa Fuhai.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Yeah, because it doesn't look like Fafa Fuhi.
I'm just saying like it's more like...
Look at that face.
Fred's more like just the engineer.
Can I also say that I think it's funny that someone left a comment, a nasty comment, like,
oh, who's this PLD guy?
Why do we see more of them?
And the very next week, now we have him picture and picture.
Good for you, PLD.
Yeah, or PLD equals more fun.
Perfect.
Okay.
Let's say.
So 78 questions so far.
Smog.
Hey, up, mate.
Just saw backrooms from the best cinematography I've seen in a recent horror movie.
She would tell and would not kill it as the leads.
That final shot.
Yikes, eight out of five out of ten.
Have a great day, lads.
Yeah, just for me, the ending didn't work.
It was if a different ending, I would have loved it.
But I really like the movie.
Griffin Shaw Media, new games were awesome.
Love the video games.
Yeah, that was a good one.
Those were fun.
Oh, wait, wait, sorry.
I was.
Someone complimenting you.
Oh, I don't know.
want to miss a compliment yeah oh cool the video games one yeah go pal
pal's another one good between go pal and derrick johnson we're gonna have 8000 new
freaking uh members today wow ioshi i saw house the dragon season three episode two with the full
watch long my eyes hurt um i don't remember what we what we do like we have we have some fun sam
and i were doing we're actually watching number five tomorrow you know watch episode
when we get off the air yeah i have to do some work stuff right away but i'll tell
in that folder for the Infinity War one because I'd rather spend the rest of my week trying to do some more.
Okay. Let me see if they perform. Okay. Greeny from us, got any big actors in your show? Jason Alexander would be ace.
So that's part of the goal, Greenie. So part of the goal is this. That initially right now, it's me and Martini, right? We have, there's one particular actor that I'd love to be able to say they are officially attached. Can't say that yet. But I'd like to. And then the other thing is that's part of the budget. Like if we reach, like I told you, if we're able to get.
that those 13,000 people put in 25 bucks and surpass that,
then we can make offers to people.
That's kind of how that works for the pilot.
So the goal is we have an extensive cast list or casting list of people that we like to go out for.
So yeah, 100%.
I hear you're getting that kid from Baywatch and newsies.
It's going to be huge.
He's too expensive.
Ron H.
You know, I'm going to give what I can.
Mom's funeral was taking all my money.
I told you she was a menace.
But once the insurance comes in, I did not cut her breaks or anything.
I'm going to give a bit.
Much love to you, Ron.
Ron, I appreciate it. Yeah, very much so. I'm sure like the day, look, the day one of the campaign, I'm going to probably be on the majority of the day, you know, promoting and talking to everybody too. So people can just join in. Eric Slaby, have you seen Young Washington yet? No, I heard it was really good. I saw last weekend. It was surprising an entertaining solid time. Not great, but solid. Yeah, I hear good things about it. I do want to see it.
Christian, have you thought about doing like a smashathon type thing where you're on the air for like, you do like a 24-hour stream?
Yeah, I've talked about it. We're probably going to do one of those.
too and I got guest spots, places I want to go.
I would talk to Luke about doing like something on his channel and like I said,
doing stuff on campy's stuff and do stuff on the hot mic and do other things.
I'm going to reach out to some other friends and see if I can promote through that 30 days.
Mark, Jason, Lully, looking forward to the show.
Christian, please remember to email me so I can promote it on my 23-year-old platform
of the fan car, but I will 100%.
See you at the end of the month.
AI is here to stay.
It's a useful tool for pre-visualization.
Yeah, it certainly has been for me as well.
For my Cotor movies, I do a lot of pre-vis, and I was always doing my own animations
with just like South Park, South Park style, like, cardboard things, and it took so long now,
it's easier to like, you know, because we animate it in the game, but sometimes I'll do
that pre-vis now beforehand with the AI.
Ron H, I got no money really, but I love Schilling for Hage.
Thank you.
You're the best.
Justin.
Hey, dudes.
If Gun, Saffron leaves Warner Brothers, what does Paramount do?
One, continue with the DCU.
two, make a new universe around the Batman.
Three, bring back the DC-EU.
Bro.
Yeah, I don't know yet.
It all depends, Justin, on how Manit Tomorrow does again.
And I know it's the same answer I keep giving.
But it would not make sense, even if your scenario here, Justin, if Gunn, Saffron leave Warner Brothers.
It does, if Manit Tomorrow makes $800 million and then Saffron and Gunn leave.
First of all, I don't think that's happening.
But then they leave.
Be stupid for them to not continue on.
They should try to find someone to go on with their vision
and maybe change things up a little bit.
Then you go into the big three, the one room in the Batman side of it all,
and change up the game plan.
But that's what I think.
But if it bombs, who knows where they go with it.
I mean, if it, yeah, I mean, there's,
if it does well, I think there's still a hope that a crisis will bring back the
DCEU, at least for like a huge end game.
style movie in 10 years. But if not, I mean, if they do in Elseworlds where they let him finish
the Justice League parts two and three, I would love to see it. I mean, those storyboards are
insane. If you've seen it, the Jim Lee drawn storyboards, you can find it easily.
Yeah. His plan for Justice League two and three was bonkers, Zach Snyder.
All right. Buster Barnes. Are Warner Brothers and D.C. really holding off things for the merger?
That seems silly as it is not 100% confirmed. It happens in order to we know how long it will
take. I think they probably have plans, but they're not going to announce anything because they,
because of what you just said, it's just, it's just up in the air. Nobody knows. Yeah. Yeah.
Smile. Christian, most people do a front facing camera view for videos on YouTube. What made you go
with a slightly to the side camera view? Is this an avant-garde indie film director move? Just curious,
much love. You mean like, as far as this goes here? Yeah. Because there's another camera right here
that I don't have my, I have a big ass TV right here in front of me where I'm looking.
I need my monitor there.
We could have essentially put the camera here and elevated the TV.
We didn't and it was set up because it was also set up for interviews.
And there's a camera over there as well too.
So we wanted to get more of like a, you know, interview set up here initially because that's where I thought I was going to spend a lot of my time doing.
But it just turned out that wasn't the case.
So we left it this way.
And I kind of like it.
So I can address it this way, if need be.
Why do you say that?
Because that's the same way, like on my Cotor channel and when I was on Jedi
I look at the camera, but I don't feel like I'm talking to you when I look at,
I know.
That's what I'm doing Zoom.
It's always interesting to me.
It's like, if I'm talking to you right now, I'm looking at you right now and I'm
talking to you.
Yeah.
But I'm not looking at you.
Yeah.
And now I'm looking at you.
Yeah.
And you should always be looking at me.
But no, but the other thing too is for me is also like, this is like how the Howard
still, I was a big Howard Stern guy.
Howard's not looking into the camera talking.
No, right.
He was always off.
So I.
Yeah, right.
Exactly.
Do my side this way.
Not sure.
I want the Buster Borns.
I want Matt Reeves to take six years between movies to run a whole universe.
I'm with you.
Also, does he want to?
Does Patinson want to?
So many factors.
Don't disagree with anything you just said.
Yeah, it's all very clear.
All relevant.
Your Shemitsu, don't forget, Donnie N is in Rogue One and John Wickford.
Yeah, he sure was great in both of them.
He's really, really underrated in Rogue One, by the way.
Really underrated.
Go, pal.
I think Leth Leithel up in four and like five other movies came free with my first DVD player way back in 99.
You know what also came with his?
It had to have been lost in space.
the one with um uh with uh joey from friends why am i matt lebanke who lost
that was that was it's true smile love the look of digger don't try to say the title when you're
drunk oh there you go uh ron h the underground battle scene and enter the dragon was amazing
even today love enter bolo williams corporate hon he had a literal uh bladed fist yes it's
what's the one where he goes to each floor and fights people that's um oh game of death is that what
Game of Death, yeah. And the Nintendo game, Kung Fu is not a translation, but like it was like
kind of the same thing. I just remember that game.
You and Sam doing a reaction for Enter the Dragon.
I think that, I don't know if you've seen it already, but maybe it would be something down the line.
This is a question of Iosia. How long will the Kickstarter go for? It's your timeline for the
golden one. Yeah, 30 days. That's how Kickstarter works.
Yeah, really? Yeah. Why did it?
you choose that instead of GoFund because you just you it's better to do yeah I want to go
because again we have uh someone who's had luck with kickstarter before it's a more well-known
platform um 30 days to try to do it the goal is to like start at september 1st or second
end it right around my birthday and does it hit and if it doesn't hit all the money goes back
is that different yeah no for kick starter if you don't if you don't raise it you know then it goes
back and then that's the case and we but like i told like i told a bunch of people i'd rather i'd rather
myself and the audience get a chance to make it.
Yeah.
Then to not try it all.
Okay. Bobby, just catching up with the live show.
I think it was announced a while ago back, but there will be an animated blue
beetle show with Joe returning as the voice.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, it makes sense.
Ho Gendo, the amount of delays the Batman 2 has gotten is comical.
It really is, unfortunately.
A little bit.
Yeah.
Comic lover, there he is.
Update. My girl's mom got a job and a parole officer is a nice person.
Things are on the up.
My girl and I think about tying the knot. Love her to bits. Do it.
So here's your hint about if comic lover is Ron H.
You got to look. Now he uses a lot of Amber Sands.
He does cheat the two, the number two, because he's trying to get under that limit.
Now we're going to see, this is how.
We'll see if Ron H does the same.
Detective comic style, Batman.
Johnny Bachelza. What's the latest Van Vleet interview that you've seen?
What was the one that he put up recently?
I mean, I always check out his clips and stuff.
He's a great after at that.
I said something recently.
I mean, I definitely watched the Paul Heyman one.
I can't remember.
The Paul Heyman one.
I really like the AJ Styles one was good.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I listen to his stuff all the time, but I listen to it a lot when I'm on the plane.
You know, the one that I really liked was Carian Cray and I like, you know, I like is like, wrestlers I'm not that familiar with and you watch them and then you really get an appreciation for them.
And then you root for them more.
Me too.
I've become friendly with Carian too.
And Carian came in here and to be on, you know, yeah, he was on, he was on Matt's show.
And we were supposed to, he'd reached out to me at one point.
help him produce one of his shows but he just i love that guy dude he's still good he's great he's a
freaking out uh mike rios force awakens reunion hits harder after the prequals oh yeah that makes
sense yes yes dj give the 10 more memberships damn dj like a lot give the 10 more membership so
that's like a two right give to 10 more memberships DJ so that's 200 right there you're saying
that's 50 hundred it's 200 he just put in there yeah i'm in the shot in the
Yeah, you got a shot right now.
Ho Jenda became a YouTube member.
Ron.
Nice to go on my trip.
No, like I, you know, the text chain that you have just ever, so everyone knows.
I've been, uh, I had two weeks where I won in a row.
And then I've had other weeks where, especially when I was a newbie, I was always in last place.
And, uh, Christian, he just, he has a thread and he just posts like the top five who gets it.
And I always feel bad.
I'm always like, maybe you shouldn't do like the order because when you're in last place,
it kind of feels bad.
Like, especially because I was one that used to ride the bottom.
I always put one through five.
Ron,
if people need to know as far as like,
you know,
like,
no,
I think it's cool.
I just,
uh,
I feel blessed because I came in,
remember,
and I couldn't even get 50 super chat anymore.
DJ,
you big,
beautiful bastards,
thank you.
Uh,
thank we did this one already,
but.
Oh my God.
I think we did that one.
Right.
Alex Meyer,
what do you guys think about the reported runtime of doomsday being two hours and
45 minutes?
If it's a good movie,
I'm cool.
How long was Odyssey again?
You said that was long,
It's almost three hours, but it worked.
I feel good about it.
More the merrier, dude.
Johnny Bichie's a favorite.
Look at PLD in that, by the way, that picture.
So good.
It's really good.
Favorite Clancy Brown roll?
It's Shawshank.
It's Shawshank.
Let me check, by the way, if I've gotten randomly joined.
Nope, I still have the join button on my,
so Star Wars Squad has not won the sweepstakes yet,
but that doesn't mean I'm asking you to do anymore.
Thank you.
But Star Wars Squad still is not a member.
Do you see that picture?
that's really good
that's really good
please let him see that on
please that's oh that's really good
that's you gotta update that though
and make it look like and make him look
a little bit more grainy and stuff too
support to
you got to make it look like it's actually part of the photo
yeah he looks superimposed in there but that's it's really good
support to Derek Johnson the golden boot of the chat
he really I mean Derek's just been incredible
John DX Dragon hey Harleffs you
truly believe Sadie think will be Gene Gray or social media wrong and it will be shocked by her reveal with GeneB and Cass Later.
Well, my person was wrong, it looks like.
My person told me that it was 100% Gwen Stacy.
I had an old report.
What?
Wow.
Yeah.
Because I think that this whole mind control thing is all, it's going to be a swerve.
And I don't know because I haven't watched anything.
But I feel like we're going to all think it's Gene Gray, but it's going to be another.
Because he keeps saying that we haven't, we don't know who the real villain is yet.
and I think that we're going to discover that it's not Gene Gray.
It's been someone else that's controlling these people.
Possibly.
I think you might be right.
I think you might be right.
Ron H.
I'd be in the pilot for Bucks, but I ain't leaving Canada.
Sorry, it'd be an amazing news to meet you all.
Maybe one day, even if you ever visit Montchall.
I definitely want to do that.
I definitely really want to do that.
Oh, you're crazy.
Rick Ingram.
Oh, he's crazy.
And he did it, he did this just to irk me.
you humble. What is it?
Ingram. He said that the
that the
I play Rocky movie looks terrible.
He's a son of a bitch.
It would be an amazing dream to meet you all yet.
Look, we're going to have some cool tears
about what we can do and, you know,
and I'm sure Ron we'll see on the,
at least on the boards.
You're Shemitsu. Finally saw backrooms last week in my old
hometown 1920s theater. I loved it.
It had me right in the childhood fears. The ending was perfectly.
Okay. Well, there you go.
I want to hear more about this 1920s theater.
That's awesome.
Yeah, that's pretty cool.
John Burkart became a member.
Thank you, John.
John DX. Dragon.
I believe Ellison will reboot the DCU,
but go old school.
One reboot character at a time.
No promise of a world like Batman begins,
starting slow as better.
See, that's the thing is I don't think it'll be
Ellison who's going to start it and come up with the creative
in the same way that, like, what's his face?
Zazloff didn't come up with the creative.
He brought in somebody to start the creative.
That's probably what, now,
if you bring in a new person to do that plan, that's possible.
Uh, go pal.
100% Smedts lost in space and six days.
Yeah, lost in space, six days, seven nights.
And I feel like there's another one in there.
The Truman Show or something.
Like those movies.
Go pal.
I forget the other ones.
I thought it was the Matrix.
Pat for president, nine months strong.
What a member.
Remember for nine months.
That's awesome.
Middle and end of July will make the box office roar.
We could see Toy Story 5, the Odyssey and Spider-Man become billion-dollar movies,
three, four, and five of the year, 2026.
Yeah.
I mean, look, it's possible.
I'm so curious to see, look, same thing.
Week one, Odyssey's going to crush.
What's week two going to look like?
And then we'll see.
Grim Bear, 13.
Hey, Christian and Smith,
hope you guys having a great day.
We are now.
I am having a great day.
It's a good way to start my Wednesday.
93 questions.
Here's the next one.
Ron H.
Two left.
I hope if you do, try the night,
you are two are golden forever,
but don't be fooled.
Marriage is hard work and still sometimes doesn't work out.
Trust me, when it's good, it's good.
No, he does all caps every now.
on then, but he didn't cheat it with the two.
No, he didn't. Is he on to us?
I don't know. Uh, final two, starting with this.
DJ. Oh. Gifted 20.
Let me see. Did it get me? Man, dude.
No, I didn't get it. Don't do anymore, but Star Wars squad's just, uh, not winning the,
the lottery here at this time. Johnny, I just bought a house. So money might be
tight with renovations and repairs, but I will definitely help with the Kickstarter as much
as I can. Thank you, Johnny. Yeah, listen, that's all I'm saying. And like I said,
The goal and the mathematics side of it is the 13,000, 25 people.
I mean, opposite, 25 people.
Yeah.
I can't talk.
$25 from 13,000 people.
That's the overall goal.
But look, every little bit is going to help.
Every little bit.
And like the day one, we know what we're going to get.
Like, I'm going to be able to go back and say to everybody after day one, we got a good start here.
We got a real good start.
Let's move.
Let's see what we can do.
Yeah.
And then we just make the show together, guys, and that's it.
Go Pal, The Matrix was a new release in 99.
That's true.
That's true.
It was in 99.
But they just start giving it out at some point.
Okay.
95.
Good last show for a couple of weeks, Kev.
Where can the good people find you if they want to find out?
Yeah.
You could just find me at Kev Smets on X and on YouTube.
Star Wars Squad or Star Wars Cotor Squad
and then Stomaversity
if you want to follow my post-cancer journey
across all of that.
And the real Kevin Smets.
I have a bunch of shorts that I've had in an archive
for a while, kind of like how I've been doing
for you, Christian, and they're all scheduled
to be released while I'm gone.
So while I'll be gone, you'll be able to see
my cancer videos and stuff throughout my trip
because they're already scheduled
and they're going to be releasing throughout the next couple weeks.
So, Kevin, thank you to PLD.
Thank you to Luke and Sam and MK for doing the time codes, obviously.
Jonathan for helping out with everything he does.
And thank you to you guys, again, for being so generous and fun and supportive and all that.
And we got a lot coming up on the channel.
Oh, we're not done yet.
Not done yet.
Hold on a second.
Let me make sure I got some more here before we move on.
Go pal.
I definitely bought Matrix myself.
Sorry, Kevin, you saying some.
No, just that it still says that I have to join.
Oh, okay.
actual twice, I think once at school again
when I was home after graduation.
And then, yeah, I brought, yeah,
the Matrix. Oh, the Matrix. Yeah, I had that.
I own the Matrix, the negotiator, and Truman Show.
Those were like my top two, three.
Yoshimitsu. Love today's Smet's games. A video game
screenshot quiz is great. Yeah, it was good.
Yeah, it was good. Do you think you need three hints for each one?
Or maybe I go down to do.
Oh, three was good. No, three was good. It'll be good for like the,
you know, for the shorts and stuff too.
Yeah. All right. Thank you, Smets.
Appreciate it.
Love you guys.
All you guys.
Oh, sorry.
Sorry,
Kip.
Say again.
I'm just going to be gone now because I'm getting a slack.
Yeah, go ahead.
Yeah.
Thank you guys.
Really appreciate it again.
I'll have more information as I told you as this Kickstarter was moving,
but I would be talking about it quite often.
And as you see, I am.
Just waiting to get the information on when that is approved.
When we're going to do the pre-approval.
And then once, hopefully, September 1, September 2nd around that area is when we'll
officially launch unless, you know, there's things that happen in between.
But I'll give you guys update.
and we're coming up with the tears and we'll be working out some other tears and other things.
So like every stream and everything that like again, for the person, a couple of different people,
but I'm going to address two particular people right now.
For the person who knows that they want to support and they want to help this show get made,
right?
What do you want to see?
What do you like, as far as like, what do you hope is offered and put it in the comments
afterwards too so I can see it when I'm going through it.
make sure you let me know for the people who are on the fence and are like,
I just don't know if I can do that nor do I want to.
But if you offered this, I might consider it.
Like, what is that?
Because you will help me think in that way because I want to make sure that there's
always things to potentially offer to say, okay, you know what?
This guy won't shut up about this thing.
I just want them to make it.
I want to support him.
I want it to happen.
But if so, we want to make sure you do this.
And then we'll be able to do that.
so that's it uh thank you guys join the discord if you haven't done that already appreciate you
see you guys in the flip side be back here tomorrow with chris car and that's all i got for you
so appreciate it pld go all right we'll see you guys later all right bye everybody
