Starting point is 00:00:01 The Batman, too. There has been a lot of talk about this movie. It's been a lot about what's happening with it. When's it going to start shooting? When's the movie going to come out? Well, it's a new report that says that the movie was not going to shoot at the end of this year. As they said, that's going to start shooting next year. So does that mean if the shooting was pushed, does that mean release date's going to be pushed?
Starting point is 00:00:29 What's going on? There's certain reports about what's going on. with Matt Reeves and that's the reason why it's not happening. And speaking of Batman, not the Batman, speaking of Batman, we've been talking about on this show for quite a while that Brett and Skunar from 1923 and now this weekend's movie dropped. I thought he's perfect for Batman. Apparently he's been in talks with DC and talked about Batman in an interview.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Can has their lineup. Man is a lot of stories we're going to talk today because the The gang is back in town. We're excited about Last of Us. That comes out this weekend. Season 3 got renewed. That's pretty awesome. People keep throwing shit in the Minecraft theaters.
Starting point is 00:01:11 Idiots. We'll talk about that. And I think that's about it. We're already going to have a good conversation with Mike and Steph. That's right. Mike is back off his high horse. I mean, from whatever he was doing. And Steph also here.
Starting point is 00:01:28 One of us was late. And you can guess who it is. it's someone who's usually not late. So there you go. What do you think? Put your thoughts in there. Let's talk about it. And Mike hasn't even seen this.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Cuck? That's right. So without any further ado, ladies and gentlemen, it's the show. It's Christian Arsha. If I have enough time, I think so. Yep, I did. Here we go. Welcome back to the show, everybody.
Starting point is 00:02:04 I'm excited to have you guys here. Last week's champ, back again. Steph's... Hi. In the hizzy. It's dizzy. I like that. Yeah, that's a, I think a type of vape now, but that's cool.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Well, look at this. Bringing the smoke is Mike Kalanowski back in town. What's up, Mike? Oh, you muted. That's sad. Am I? Well, well, well. Nice to have you muted again.
Starting point is 00:02:31 I didn't move. It says the host muted me. No, not anymore. You're back. And so when you're not bad. have done. Steph defeated Roxy. I know, man. Wow. But now you guys have an opportunity to beat Roxy again.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Right. Oh, no. Here we have. 103. Okay. Okay. I think that's what Steph had last week. Steph had like 115 or 120. So I think that's definitely doable. So let's see what happens with Mike returning.
Starting point is 00:02:57 We have a lot of stories to discuss. Hey, what was that clip you show? Oh, yeah. So we had talked to Steph about this last week. It was hilarious. We were talking about Emilie Alcock was a question. that came up and um roxy butchered a name at the first point she didn't even see whatever she said and i said no it's alcock and she goes alcott and i go cock and she goes she goes cock and that and
Starting point is 00:03:21 that lives that clip lives on forever so it lives in infamy forever it's it's it's it's pretty wonderful yes so that being said we're going to jump into some of these topics and the first one is interesting because it's the Cannes Film Festival 2025. That lineup is reveled. It's right. We've got it all reveled. This year's Cannes Film Festival lineup has been announced with movies by Wes Anderson, Ariasster, Kelly Richardson, Richard Linklater, Oliver Her, Nenius, Jaffar, every one of these names. Come on. Jesus, what are you doing here? All right, go ahead, Mike. You do it. You can read it. Go ahead. Here we go. Start from the start.
Starting point is 00:04:05 Stop. Read the whole article from start to finish. Go. Yeah, I am. This year's can film festival lineup has announced with movies by West Anderson. Ari Aster, Kelly Reichard, Richard Linkletter, Oliver Hermanis, Javar, Vanana, and Joaquin Terrier. Yeah, good.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Great. Go ahead. Keep going. Keep going. In competition of the Palm Door. Okay. It's official to confirm the Chris McCreery is in a position of possible to Final Reckoning will have its world premiere at the Fest out of competition.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Actor Scarlet Johansson and Harris Dickinson will be there to premiere their separate directing debuts from the Uncertain Regard section. There you go. You're doing great. Go ahead. Keep going. Mumble mouth. Among the most notable films are the ensemble like Edgington.
Starting point is 00:04:55 The Phoenician scheme with Paul Muskell and Josh O'Connor led 1910's gay romance tale. Oh, my. Now, History of Sound, the Jody Foster led V. Perrieve and Kelly Richards. You're crushing it. You're crushing it. Good. I don't even have my glasses on. And Kelly Richards, Vietnam War set the mastermind, the Alexander Scarsguard, and Harry Melling led kinky bikers.
Starting point is 00:05:22 So, so. That doesn't even sound like a sentence. Is it fear to say Mike can shut his ass? Yeah. It's also fair to say. I didn't know anything you just said. No one knew anything he just said. The 19 gay,
Starting point is 00:05:36 the 19 gay, the 19 gay. That's not even. Not even, not even the date, just the 19 gay is what he says. So for all, I like that he's laughing.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Yes. All the crap that you give me and you can't even get six words out, like a mumble rap. Horrendous. That was so brutal. That was so brutal. So for everybody,
Starting point is 00:05:58 so for everybody, Don't humor him, Steph. First of all, for anything that I have to deal with that, I apologize. Secondly, not that easy. Okay, here you go. This year's Cannes Film Festival lineup has been announced with movies by West Anderson, Ari Aster, Kelly Richard, Richard Linklater, Oliver Hermanis, Jafar, Jafar, and Joaquin, and Waukeen-Tree, in competition for the Palm Dior. It's officially confirmed that Chris McQuarrie's Mission Impossible, The Final Reckoning, will have its world premiere at the fest out of competition, actor Scarlett Johansson and Harris, and will be there to premiere their separate directing debuts, both in the, go ahead, Mike,
Starting point is 00:06:34 uncertain regards section. Perfect. Among the notable films are the all-star ensembles like Eddington, Edgington, and the Phoenician scheme. The Paul Meskell and Josh O'Connor led 1910's gay romance tale, The History of Sound, the Jody Foster led V. Keefebribe, Kelly Richardson's Vietnam War set, the mastermind, the Alexander Scargard, and Harry Millington-led Kinky Biker Tale, Pillion, Andrew Dominic's U. Dock Bono Stories of Surrender.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Some rumored inclusions that haven't made the list include Spike Lee's highest to lowest. Terrence Malick's The Way of the Wind and Kristen Stewart's the chronology of water. The titles are opening film, leave one day and there's a whole bunch of things here. Tons of, tons of movies coming out. But out of all this stuff that comes out that we just read, we had to put poor Steph through. Steph, is there anything in there that catches your ear? Can I be so honest? You still didn't get any of it.
Starting point is 00:07:28 I still didn't get it. Exactly. You mumbled fucking mouth. No, it's not you. It's the article. Like, it's all just words, names. Like, I saw Wes Anderson. I'm always excited for a Wes Anderson film.
Starting point is 00:07:43 But other than that, what are these? I know. There's a lot. I mean, look, you know what it is? This is what the answer is. The answer is you can read a lot of stuff with, Steph is 100% correct. You hear all these names.
Starting point is 00:07:51 You go, oh, that's a name. I know. That's a name. That's probably a name that is either going to be, oh, it's Terrence Malick. So people are going to be raving about it or saying how long and boring it is. So this is interesting to say the least. However, we have to find out once they debut these things.
Starting point is 00:08:09 And you never really know even when they do, right? Like you could have rumors that something was great and got a 75 minute standing ovation. And then another one that everyone thinks stinks turns out to be good. So, you know, who knows except there's going to be, I mean, I guess Mike, for you, the Mission Impossible story. That's. Yeah. The last trailer, did you stay away from it? No, I saw it.
Starting point is 00:08:32 I saw it because someone said that did see it at CinemaCon, they said it doesn't spoil, they don't show like the big stunts. I think they learned their lesson on every other movie where they show the big stunt thing. You know, he's talking off the side of a plane, but we don't know much about that. So it didn't give too much, but yeah. I'm excited for it. Steph, are you excited for Mission Impossible? Oh, yeah, I'm really excited for it.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I really want it to do well better than the last one. I'm rooting for it. And I keep seeing like the posters and the signs all around town. I'm going to definitely, it's going to be one that I see in theater. I hope I can see it in IMAX. But it's hard to, are the tickets on sale yet?
Starting point is 00:09:14 Um, I haven't. I haven't seen it yet. I don't think so. No, I think that it would be a story. But I don't, I'm looking at this.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Sorry, I'm looking at this list. because it's easier than like all these names of what's standing out to you a lot of this is like people i'm not even familiar with it's it's hard to say i think for me it's got it's mission impossible because that's the movie we all know and that does mean anything because very well one of those movie that's that's in there could wind up being the best picture winner for sure it's 100 it could be something that like well that debuted it can and everybody's talking about it like everyone is talking,
Starting point is 00:09:55 oops, sorry, everybody's discussing that, that particular movie. So nothing in particular, I think that you nailed it before,
Starting point is 00:10:02 Steph, when you said that the, you know, there's a bunch of names that are recognizable with Wes Anderson, a whole bunch of other people in there. And the question is,
Starting point is 00:10:11 who's going to get the notice when it comes out? So, there you go. What do you guys think? Is this can, does it mean a lot to you guys? Do you not care?
Starting point is 00:10:22 Do any of those names? There are actually a few of them in there. Like, it's actually I'm really looking forward to this movie I heard the buzz on it put your thoughts in there let us know exactly what you think um I don't know if I can how much I can get into you I don't know when the embargo lifts but I saw sinners yesterday oh did that troil did that trailer spoiler for you like you said yes it did it definitely did it spoiled it spoiled key moments um but it still doesn't take away from how great the movie is I'm so happy I loved the I really did. I just like Ryan Cougar style. Because, you know, a vampire movie, it's not, I'm not one of these people that, oh, here we go, vampire movie, can't wait to see it. Sign me up. Any vampire movie. I'm actually
Starting point is 00:11:07 the opposite. It's like I've seen a vampire movie a thousand times. What's different? Dedicated story, a story. A story is, and characters I care about because I know what's going to happen, you know, once shit goes down. But the question is, do I care by the time shit goes down? And the answer is yes. And Michael B. Jordan does such a great. great job as the twins. That's exciting to hear because that's, I think he's a really great actor in the roles he's chosen, but I've always wondered about his range.
Starting point is 00:11:37 And I was like how, because you know, you see these, there's some of the greatest actors are the ones who can pull off playing multiple characters in the same movie. So that's exciting to hear. There was like a distinct distinction between. You can tell,
Starting point is 00:11:51 you know, when it starts, you have to figure out, okay, that one is stack. And that one is smoke. Okay. I think,
Starting point is 00:11:57 I think, and they do it well. One's got a blue hat. One is a red hat to let you know who's who. But you start to realize pretty quick as you're watching the because of the personality traits and the story and what's going on. You're like, oh, okay, well, that's definitely smoke because of the way that he's, his demeanor has changed.
Starting point is 00:12:17 He's more this way. He's more that way. And it plays really well. And then if that's, if you're going there, you're like, oh, I want to know, I want a good story. you're going to get that. If you want a good vampire movie with just crazy shit going down, you're going to get that. If you want great music, you're going to get that. Ludwig does it again with the score. It's like, and not just, and it's what he's so good at it, there's a scene that happens.
Starting point is 00:12:42 And I'll just say there's a scene that happens. I don't even want to give it away. That it's, it's kind of music, it's very music based. And in any other movie, if they would have done it in this particular if they would have done it i would have been like what why is that relevant to anything but the way that it's set up through the story and everything else i was like this is artistically like really really like smart beautiful and i understand what they're going with i really liked it a lot i really enjoyed them and it's great in imax and surround sound oh the sound is so great oh it's so cool i can't i'm going to get my tickets i want to see that opening weekend you'll love it You'll love it. I guarantee you'll love it.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Mike, I don't know, Mike, because when you comes to vampire films and, but you like cooogler though, right? I do. I mean, I like Michael B. Jordan, so. Then you'll, you'll like. I'm curious because I don't, I don't really hear much about this, like in film Twitter. You know what I'm saying? Like, there's just not the buzz for it. So I hope it's what didn't cost a lot and you'll have some legs with it. I doubt that it did. I don't think it could. I mean, you got a big cast, Haley Steinfeld, Michael B. Jordan. Um, but I don't, but I don't know because it's like really one location, really. I mean, hopefully it was already for the majority.
Starting point is 00:14:03 I feel like it was the, I don't know for me, the title never stuck. It's starting to like stick now. Finally, I'm like, okay, sinners, but I kept saying the Ryan Cougler, Michael B. Jordan movie. Yeah, but it's so relevant to the movie. Okay. That's cool then. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:18 So relevant. Um, so it, let's see. They says it. it cost her at 90 million because they shot it on iMacs there you go it i really hope i really hope people see this movie i really do it's like it's one of those movies though that even if people don't see it it won't hurt ryan cougler at all because it's brilliantly directed i and i think this is this sounds like a one that word of mouth is going to help it i think i'll have legs how about minecraft though isn't that crazy how about that movie is insane in christian didn't i say
Starting point is 00:14:50 I feel like this might be, and I would hope for it, to be like a Mario Brothers, where it just like does insanely well in theater. It's better than Mario opening weekend. That's crazy. I mean, $300 million overall. Someone we were talking about this and they made a great point. It's like, well, it's, you got to remember, there's a whole generation that love IP that they don't want their parents IP.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Yeah. Well, we're going to get into Minecraft in just a second. So let me close out with this. sinners reactions are out there do you guys want to see the movie what are your thoughts let me know all right so speaking of minecraft we're going to start getting into what's been going down with mind crime not just the money but all these idiots throwing popcorn everywhere cinema's rightfully so unhappy with the messy Minecraft meme. While the Minecraft movie seemingly saved the box office has to a sluggish start to the year, it's not fair. It has also come under fire for the bad
Starting point is 00:15:54 behavior of patrons attending screenings of the film reports the Guardian. It all ties to one scene in which Jack Black calls out chicken jockey at the appearance of a baby zombie riding a chicken. This has become a meme spreading like wildfire on TikTok that encourages film with goers to disrupt screenings of the movie. Footages emerge all over social media of audiences engaging in rowdy behavior, cheering, throwing buckets of popcorn and another candy, shouting during the film and some even bringing live chickens. The result is cinemas being left with significant messes for the theater staff to clean. Online talk about the behavior has drawn widespread criticism online for its disrespect towards cinema employees, often underpaid.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Often underpaid? Let me read that. Online talk about the behavior has drawn widespread criticism online for its disrespect towards underpaid cinema. employees and other patrons and the larger debate about etiquette in public spaces. Cinemas themselves have had enough with several UK cinema's warning audiences, members will be ejected if they disrupt screenings too much. Cineworld is steering more vocal fans towards special screenings of the film where people can let your hair down and shout chicken jockey.
Starting point is 00:17:01 The talk comes as the film's director, Jared, has indicated this week he's keen to return for a sequel, which was teased in the end credits. While it was also revealed that UK comedian Matt Barry was up for the role of Steve, but was prevented by scheduling conflicts. Jack Black ultimately took on the role. Film is reportedly tracking for a 65 to 82 million second weekend, a decline of around 50 or 60%, but others are suggesting higher with a drop of around 40%
Starting point is 00:17:26 a la Super Mario and Barbie in 2023. So we'll go to a bunch of different things here, guys. Steph, as you said, this needed to be on par with Mario. It exceeded that. It's tracking really well for its second opening. weekend. I want to see currently what it stands in the box office over the weekend. It was 300. Right now, currently it's 336.
Starting point is 00:17:50 So I think it'll do closer to 80 to 100, not worldwide. I think it'll do way more than that. But here it'll do close to 80. So you're looking at this. This movie has a shot to hit a billion. We'll get to the stupid chicken jockey thing in the second. But what do you think about the fact that this movie is made, what is making and will it hit a billion? I think it probably will. I think it's super exciting anytime any film does really well. This one had a better chance than some because of that massive IP and then you have
Starting point is 00:18:21 massive names attached to it like Jack Black and Jason Momoa. So that's all helpful and kind of good to hear. It also does have to do with social media. I remember when I think it was like Despicable Me 3 or it might have been the fourth when everyone like went into the theater and war suits and did the minion thing. and it's like this generation of young boys. I guess this is like the new jackass campaign that they're like on doing stuff in the theaters,
Starting point is 00:18:49 which most of it's harmless. I just don't like extra work for good people who are working at these theaters. Like littering to me, go to jail. I think littering anywhere is so gross. So, but I might, I also am like, okay, it's cool that you guys are going to the theater. So it's like this hard battle of you have to be kind of careful about it.
Starting point is 00:19:10 but I do think that they're taking it too far. Well, Mike, that's the whole point, right? The positive is that they've got, they did the hard thing, which is getting the TikTok generation into the movie theater. The problem is they've just gotten the TikTok generation into the movie theater. Because what they do is the TikTok goes through and they go,
Starting point is 00:19:27 oh, we can throw shit. We can do, oh, you know what it would be crazy? Let's bring a chicken like with us and then we'll report it and do a social media thing and that will go viral and it does. Oh, viral. Yeah. And that's what they do. you get a chicken
Starting point is 00:19:41 in the theater? It's not getting in. A chicken? Dude, whatever they, I saw the video. They have a chicken and he's like, needless to say we weren't invited back. I can tell you that's the other thing is that I would probably, anybody who does what these people were doing, throwing the popcorn, making a mess the way that they were doing it, it's like if you go into a bar and you
Starting point is 00:20:01 start making a mess, you'll be banned from that bar. Like, they should put pictures up and say, these people are not allowed back into the theater. So you want to do it in the same way that like, we were talking about, remember when Wicked came out? We were getting annoyed with people like singing in the theater. Right, right. And people are throwing, like, get and like, no disregard to the people, like, they're like parents who took their kids and they're getting sprayed with soda and shit too.
Starting point is 00:20:23 It's like, that's, it's not right. Or what you do for something like this, the theaters wanted to, they pick one theater that they're going to, that they have in the, in the, in the establishment. And they pay extra, the, so the, um, theater employees. extra money and say, look, we're going to do a special screening where people can throw shit and do a bunch of stuff. We're going to put stuff on the floors. We're going to tarp it down and maybe we'll get some extra people in here, but you'll get paid double or triple what you normally would to come in and stay and clean this shit up. And then you say, okay, that's the screen that you do it.
Starting point is 00:20:58 You don't get in trouble if you do it because we're asking you to do it. But if you do it here, you're out. You're never coming back. And you'd be banned across AMCs or whatever theaters like indefinitely for a year, two years, three years. Yep. Whatever. I thought you were talking to Mike. Yeah, I think that would be actually perfect.
Starting point is 00:21:18 Like that would be a perfect idea. This is why they need parents running all things. Because that was a parent idea right there. You were like, how do I let them have fun while not torturing everyone else? I think that would be perfect, especially the ones if they do have like quite a following and have money to pay for that. Then I'm all about, you know, organized chaos. Do what you want if you're not just like, totally harshing the, I always say be the vibe, don't ruin the vibe. That's ruining the
Starting point is 00:21:46 vibe for the entire theater. Not to them. That's the unfortunate part. To them, they think they're enhancing the vibe, right? They think they're enhancing it because like, oh, look, people are talking about it. We went viral. We do exactly what we wanted to do. That's the problem. We're trying to get the, you know, the TikTok generation into the theaters. They don't go to the theaters. It's even this movie and my daughter isn't going to throw shit, but she's going into watching the movie she hasn't gone into a movie theater with her friends since wicked and now she wants to go into movies to watch mine crap now my my my 13 year old so i don't know mike what do you what do you think you and i probably wouldn't disagree with you you think they also go to jail
Starting point is 00:22:25 no oh i mean like you know man we've reached and again it's a generational thing as i get older we've reached the age we're like just see on tic-tok daily people because they get the the clicks and they that adrenaline. They need the, that, what's the dopamine hit of, oh, my God, I went viral, where they're hitting people in Home Depot with pillows and or target with pillows, pretending they're throwing pillows on people. Like, they're going to piss the wrong person off and they're going to get, you know, they're going to fuck around and they're going to find out. You know, they're going to sit in theater. They're going to throw a chicken at some guy. A guy's going to stand up and lay one of these kids out. And then that's going to be the end of it.
Starting point is 00:23:09 Like, hey, man, I was there for end game shouting and screaming, and it was awesome. But it's a fine line. It's a fine line. Because you, because look at, okay, perfect example, what you said. Look at Rocky Horror Picture Shore show. There's theaters designed for that. And they know what they're getting into. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:25 You're going to the AMC on Saturday night. Fuck you do it, man. But it's, hey, it's social media and everyone wants their clicks to get their money because they think that that's where they're going to make money. And it's just a big problem is that people are going now and they're going, oh, this is a thing, because then you get teenagers who are like, let's just go cause havoc right in that scene. Who cares when we get kicked out?
Starting point is 00:23:47 And they don't give a shit if they're disrupting a family who's going to see that with their kids. They don't care. As long as they get their hits and they're, yeah, yeah, I'm the guy that brought the chicken. I'm the guy. I'm chicken guy. That's me. I'm chicken guy. And then when you get a video like,
Starting point is 00:24:02 you know, Haktua, that girl, but the girl, you know, at the time, granted she has now messed everything up. But at the time, making millions of dollars to all this. I can be chicken guy. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Who cares if I get kicked out or ban? I'm going to be the chicken guy on TikTok. I'll carry around chicken. I'll get shirts that say chicken guy. And everyone really love it. Oh, you're the guy that brought the chicken and gut is, I'll be on Howard Stern. I'll be on Joe Rogan.

When they send it, we can't wait. We're going to take, we have this thing ready to go. It really is. I'm not even kidding you.
Starting point is 00:29:38 You should have had these when we used to have it at your studio. That way I could come by and have an apple on my way in. No, we had lemons or no apples. Okay, let's get this Batman stuff because there's a ton of it. And Mike, I'm sure you're going to have tons of opinions on this. Of course. All right. Well, the Batman 2 is the delay, supposedly a result of Matt Reeves being too close
Starting point is 00:29:57 to a Chadwick-Boseman situation. Speculation running rampant that the Batman Part 2 might be delayed once again. Once social media personality claims that the filmmaker Matt Reeves supposedly his personal issues could be more serious than we thought. Much has been said about the Batman Part 2's continued delays, as we're sure you're aware, social media scoopers and DC fan accounts alike have spent months hinting that work has been pushed back due to personal issues in filmmaker Matt Reeves' life, hinting at some of sort of health issue in attempt to calm down.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Fans frustrated with the delays seems in poor taste, and in many ways it would be surely better to say nothing at all. But that hasn't stopped Grace Randolph from weighing in with this in a recent video. If you know what Matt Reeves was dealing with, you leave him alone. I mean, it's not a Chadwick-Boseman situation, but it's close, you should leave Matt Reeves alone. Regardless of whether it's Reeves or someone else close to him, who's allegedly unwell, the filmmaker does deserve some space
Starting point is 00:30:52 and shouldn't be harassed by fans eager for the Batman sequel to be released. The news is out there now, though, and generating a lot of discussion online. Some on social media have argued that Reeves or DC Studios co-CEO, James Gunn, should perhaps issue a statement that sets the record straight and ends the speculation at the same time. Reeves' personal life is private, and he's under no obligation to update anyone about a movie if he's dealing with something this serious. Reeves, meanwhile, has previously said, there's been a lot of stuff going on in my life in the last year or so, and he's been such a good friend.
Starting point is 00:31:25 such a beautiful man. We are still finishing the script and there's been so many things going on. This next year is about going into production and getting the movie going. There's already chatter about the Batman part two being pushed again, especially with Robert Pattinson signing up for a lead role in June Messiah. Doing the rounds to promote Mickey 17 last month, the actor and knowledge, I started out as young Batman and I'm going to be effing old Batman by the sequel. Pattinson was asked later about shooting Nolan's Odyssey this year and he said, I have absolutely no right to tell you. I can't even tell you where we're going to show, shoot, excuse me, it's top secret.
Starting point is 00:31:58 I'm going to shoot the Batman Part 2 after the Odyssey at the end of the year. I only have a vague idea of the script. Pushed on whether the Dark Night will square off with the Joker, Pattinson teased. Yeah, no, I don't know, potentially. So we'll see what happens, but though there are those who feel despite the success of the Batman and the Penguin, it might be best to just let Reeves and Batverse go, so DC studios can focus on the Brave and the Bold, set in the DCU, the movie is expected to revolve around the dark night.
Starting point is 00:32:25 The Batman Part 2 will be released in theaters on October 1st, 2027, unless, of course, it gets pushed again, potentially pushing it to 2028. It doesn't say that, but that's what we've been speculating. So I got to go to Mike here because Mike's been pretty close to this thing, and he's been talking about this for quite a bit. It has had that similar opinion that they shared on comic movie at the end, that maybe, you know, it's time to let this one go.
Starting point is 00:32:51 with the rumors and the potential of what Matt Reeves is going with. Where do you stand on all this? It's tough, man. I hate that I'm glad the person mentioned who it was in the article because I didn't watch the video, but I'm like, it's just in poor taste. Something's going on behind the scenes. It's just not our response. It's not our right to know.
Starting point is 00:33:17 We don't, they're not out of us anything to tell us why it's taking so long or whatever. You know, if it's a personal thing, let him deal with it. But, and if gun is said, hey, man, deal with what you're dealing with, and that your, your pocket universe is going to be there for you when you want to get to it. I think that's the way to go. But seeing Pattinson now adding more to his plate, I think that's a sign that they're not shooting. I mean, someone who made a good point.
Starting point is 00:33:44 It's very similar to Blade. Like, after a while, you got to go, hey, man, I mean, Blade was, which were six years now since he was announced we're going to be pushing four before they even start filming this from the release of the last one i mean at what point do you go we okay this we had one great movie and we had a good tv show there's been batman forever you know we've had i mean it's not the title of the movie but just we've had so many batman we're going to have another one but the audience is what you do need and what you do our ode i think is who is the new batman in this dc dc dc you you. Like, we need to know who that is if he's going to be the linchpin of this universe, which
Starting point is 00:34:27 Gunn has pretty much said he is. So I've said it. I think the Batman series is done. And look at what, like the idea that Clayface was going to be Reeves's villain, but then they liked it so much that they kind of made it its own thing and made a movie for it. And then they love Colin Farrell's the Pengland, but oh, he's going to be Sergeant Rock now. Like, everything that's great and that they're pulling from it. you know so I'm kind of reading tea leaves here that I think that that franchise is done what do you think stuff you hear I mean everything we just talked about here from the rumors what's going on with Matt Reeves to the potential delay it's it's a layered article so everything that you think about this what say you I think that I don't know what the relationship between him and grace the YouTuber is or even know what that is there, but I feel like it is Matt Reeves. He should be either not saying anything or saying something or having someone say something because we're not owed anything. I'm a real
Starting point is 00:35:33 believer in that. They do not owe us anything other than, you know, what their announcements are and whenever they're ready to do that. And I feel like he didn't give a promised date necessarily like this is for sure going to come out on this date. And there's, but there's nothing that can possibly go wrong. And I do think like the Michael, the Bozeman situation, it is a good situation to learn from that. We, none of us know anything. And if we don't have something nice to say,
Starting point is 00:36:03 we really shouldn't say it. And speculating, especially on someone's appearance or lack of appearances, just usually wrong. So I'm not like, I feel like we shouldn't press this man for anything, you know. But I do think eventually it's like he should. shouldn't feel too much. I hope he doesn't feel too much pressure because I do feel like there are people like me who would love to see the second movie in this in in the bat verse that he's created. But I'm also like okay with that not, especially with how DC is going. It's like that's totally
Starting point is 00:36:38 okay. And I feel like I hope that he feels comfortable enough to do whatever he needs to do and not have to deal with this. Well said. And I think that that's what it. fans have to also realize. I think all three of us want to see the Batman part two. I mean, all three of us want to see that movie. From a great continuation of what the first movie was, from everybody involved, from the great filmmaker that Matt Reeves is,
Starting point is 00:37:04 everybody wants to see that movie. But there comes a time where we also don't know what the actual situation is. I don't think, you know, I think that Matt Reeves, if there is something personal, whether it's something medically with him, medically with someone he loves. I think that's his responsibility, not his responsibility,
Starting point is 00:37:24 sorry, his prerogative to, and he should be the one that is saying it, not someone else. Unless it's out there first, it should be him because that's personal to him. I understand also the idea of like, hey, back off because you don't know what's going on with this guy. I think that could have been said. I don't think mentioning Chadwick Boseman was the way to go, to be honest. But I think, again, we don't know. We don't know. know what it is. We don't know what the thing is, but it's also, I see what she was trying to do. She was because she's been very, she's been an advocate for him. She's been someone who's, who's been a fan of Matt Reeves and wanting to see this movie and she wants people to back off.
Starting point is 00:38:07 But overall, I think that's his choice and what he wants to do. We don't even know what it is. But that being said, then you go into what Mike said earlier, the DCU Batman at that point, if they shoot this movie in 2026 and it comes out in 2027, 2028, we're not going to get a DCU Batman by then? And what if we do get a DCU Batman and then? It's too confusing. And I know. I understand the regular, the people who watch this show is like, I can deal with. I know both back and forth. Please think of the general public. If you've got a Batman movie, two Batman movies within six months of each other, and you're trying to team them up with the new Superman.
Starting point is 00:38:51 One of them is like, well, who's that one? Who's that one? Wait, what is that? Didn't they just put a Batman out to people again that follow this type of show and everything? You guys going to get it. It's not going to be confusing to you at all. There are people out there who don't know what the hell's going on if it's that close to one another. So I hate to say it because I really want to see it.
Starting point is 00:39:09 I think that maybe it's time. You let Matt Reeves focus on the stuff that's important in life and family and whatever it else is going on. And then whenever he gets back, he does something big and we all go and watch it because that's what he's going to do. Robert Patton's booking a bunch of stuff
Starting point is 00:39:26 should be very telling. That's all I'm saying. Yeah. Mike, you're muted, but that's okay. Sorry, no, it's not. I get so much shit for this online for the Mahershali situation where I was just like when he signed into Jurassic,
Starting point is 00:39:39 the new Jurassic series, as like he's done with Blade. Like, because for him, and Pattinson's different, but for Blade, just think of how many opportunities he passed on because, oh, we're going to film next month, can't shoot that. Oh, you're going to film next month. Can't shoot that. You're going to film next year.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Can't shoot that. He was like, I need a franchise. This is ridiculous. Yeah, I'm out. Patinson's stacking. He's got the Odyssey and then Dune 3. And those are not small little independent films that he can knock out in a month and a half. He's going to be filming those for six months each probably. Depends what the roles are. Depends what the roles are. But you're probably right. Yeah, but still, like he he's stacking his, his calendar, planning work for the next few years. So it's not any, and he's, it's not like he's a side character in the Batman. He's the lead that will be there every day almost for filming.
Starting point is 00:40:29 So it's very telling that it's not saying that it's telling that it's done, but it's not happening anytime soon. Yeah. All right. So here's the question on the spot. Steph, are we going to see Batman, the Batman 2, or is this movie going to go away? Go away. I don't want it to go away. It's going to go away.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mike, you've been pretty clear on it, but just to reiterate. Yeah, I think, again, I don't want it to because, again, we're this small little bubble that, yeah, you can have three different Batman out there, different films, and I understand it all, but to people like my parents, or people of our age that don't, are not into the world of film Twitter, you know, you can't do it. And again, it was the bad accident or whatever of the time. timing of gun taking over DC with that Batman film taken off.
Starting point is 00:41:19 It's just, yeah. So I think it's done. It was one of the few things that was working for DC before, before he came aboard. And someone in the chat said, you're telling people short. They'll get it. No, they won't.
Starting point is 00:41:33 They don't even know. Some people don't even know certain movies are coming out and who certain actors are. They're not going to know. Like I can, you're a film person. At first one who wrote that. You're a film person.
Starting point is 00:41:43 You get it. And they even said, Yeah. Like with the whole, like, oh, well, Jamie, Jaime Reyes is Blue Beetle and he'll be part of it. No. That actor, he was great in the role. That movie, you don't think he's going to come back. No. I guarantee they'll do Ted Cord. They won't, they won't do a new Jaime Reyes. They'll do Ted Corre the original Blue Beetle. I think so. I think so. I don't think so. I really like, but it's not confusing like the Batman. No, it's not out of Batman situation. Plus, and I hate to say this, I like, I didn't mind the movie either. Not a lot of people saw, Blue Beetle. As I'm saying. Yeah. The Batman was right. A very big success.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Yeah. It was Robert Pattinson's a big movie star. Um, so anyway, this situation kind of stinks. Overall, what do you guys make of it? Do you disagree? Do you think we are going to see the Batman part to put your thoughts in there? Tell us. What do you think it is going to kind of go the same way that Blade and these other
Starting point is 00:42:40 movies have gone? So really want to hear your thoughts. Make sure you do it. Let us know. And if you aren't subscribed to the clips channel, please, Christian Harlowff clips, just type that in there. We are clipping out this show every single day and putting it on the clips channel. You don't want to clog up this channel for people who have subscriptions and stuff. So it's not on this channel. It's on a separate channel. So there you go. You got clips that you want to see. Okay. We're talking about Batman. We're talking about Batman in the DCU. Well, I've been talking about Brendan Scannar on this show since I saw it 1923 for the first time.
Starting point is 00:43:15 He's got a new movie coming out called Drop This Weekend, which I also saw. But he was asked about Batman, and he addressed whether he's had talks with DC Studios, and he opened up about being a fan-favored pick. This is coming from Screen Rant. Since the Brave and the Bold movie is set to cast a new Batman, a popular casting choice for the role, shares an update about his potential DC Universe Future with the DCU rebooting numerous heroes and villains for the James Gun and Peter Saffir franchise. The Dark Night will be one of many Justice League characters reimagined.
Starting point is 00:43:45 While Andy Muscietti is set to direct The Brave in the Bowl, the movie is still in development process, meaning casting has yet to begin, though that hasn't stopped the rampant speculation on who will play the new Bruce Wayne. In an interview with ScreenRand on Ash Crosin, for his new film Drop, Brandon Scunar was asked how he feels about being one of the popular fan casting choices for Batman in the DCU. He elaborated on being asked about it by both fans and press, and Scler stressed that he embraces it, stating the following. He says, I mean for Batman, let's keep running with that. That's something I've wanted to do since I was a little kid and I've never even talked about it. It just started happening and I was like, this is cool. And now maybe hopefully it happens one day. I'd love to do it.
Starting point is 00:44:24 It's literally a childhood dream to do something like that, specifically that character. If I were ever to do any type of thing in the superhero space, that's what it would be. Skunar was also asked if he had any calls with DC Studios about taking on the role of Batman in the DCU franchise. In response, Scunar said he thinks there is some awareness of the idea of him being a popular pick to play the next live action dark night stating the following uh yeah i think there's some awareness of me on some level probably but yeah i know there are ways away from doing that but yeah obviously the little kid of me and the adult of me i was like this is cool and i have a bunch of ideas anyway it'd be cool so they also said what brandon sclnar's bat batman casting comments mean as many fans
Starting point is 00:45:04 have been sharing their support for wanting to see sclinar as the batman in the dc u is no surprise that it's a huge deal for the actor of positive feedback about the the potential casting, with Batman being one of the biggest roles in all of Hollywood, the competition's going to be insane to say the least. And this will be the gig of a lifetime for any actor who gets cast in the Brave and the Bold movie. But with this also taking place in an interconnected universe, whoever gets cast as Batman will have the chance to portray him for many years to come. When it comes to Sclinar's comments about whether or not he has actually met with DC Studios,
Starting point is 00:45:36 it wouldn't come as a shock if Gunn and Peter Safran are paying attention to some of the buzz happening about his fan casting. Since Gunn has a a social media presence, it would make sense that he has least seen people talk about the prospects of Sklar in Batman in the DCU, even if they aren't actively having conversations for the time being. Only time will tell if he is cast as the Cape Cusader. And they give their whole take on the Batman casting. You check that out on screen cam, screen ramp. Okay, so I'll start with this.
Starting point is 00:46:04 This guy is going to be a major movie star. He is going to be a major movie star. The question is, who's going to land him first? And if I'm James Gunn, I'm locking him down. And if I'm James Gunn, I'm watching 1923 both seasons. How do you sell 1923, if you're watching the show, you sell 1923 to get people to watch the show with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, right? By the time you're watching season two, you're watching it for the Brandliskinar storyline. If you're watching the show, the guy holds his own and more in that show.
Starting point is 00:46:39 and what he does with Harrison Ford and certain things into he's a movie star. The question is who's going to get him first? Now, they might, we also don't know exactly what the role is calling for. He's 32 years old. Maybe it's calling for a 45-year-old or 50-year-old. And maybe he plays like an older 32, but still. So the question is, will they put him in something or who's going to get him first? That's really what it comes down to.
Starting point is 00:47:04 And Mike, if there was ever a show you should watch, it's 1923. You don't have to have watched any of the other stuff to know what's going on. I say it for two reasons. One of the reasons I just gave you with Sclinar, Timothy Dalton is fantastic in the show. He's fantastic in the show. He's, I won't even tell you. You should just watch both seasons.
Starting point is 00:47:25 You'll dig it. You'll really dig. And you'll, and I want you to watch it because I want to know, because I'm assuming that you don't have a clear opinion of this guy yet because you don't really know his work, right? I've just seen the pictures of him, you know, and stuff. And I think, I think the problem is, is, it's almost reaching that fever pitch of like, it's, they won't cast him just because of that.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Because it's the fan casting idea. You know, like, to a certain extent what they did with John Crosinski. Like, he would be a, he would have been a great Reed Richards in the MCU as Reed Richards. Instead, they went like, oh, we're going to make a jokey cameo about him because everyone wants him, you know, instead of taking him seriously in the role. So I have a fear that this guy, the hype train is going to hype with it. And again, we don't know the script yet. He might not even be the right character for the script. Or they do the audition and they're like, you're not, we're not getting from you what we want for this Batman.
Starting point is 00:48:29 So we'll continue for something else. There's so much involved. Right now, it's just. for the most people it's hey this guy looks really good at his batman which i get it i think he does look i've seen a lot of fan art of him and i was like that really works for me but but also a big thing against it is jensen echoes where the kind the fans have wanted him for years but it's like i was my number one choice until we started oh i never thought he would be a good batman ever i like the guy but you also didn't watch you also didn't watch the boys um i would have still i don't
Starting point is 00:49:00 no no no i'm telling you i wouldn't have i wouldn't have chosen him either I went like the guy from Supernatural. That doesn't work. But then I saw what he did in the boys. I'm not saying he's not a good actor. I just, but he can play that work for me. He can play it.
Starting point is 00:49:14 But anyway, someone, someone's talking about that he's too young to play the role. The movie is about four years away, right? Let's say three years away. At the very least, three years away, he'll be 37, 38. He already plays older, right?
Starting point is 00:49:29 Someone said he looks like a kid. He can play Nightwing. What are you talking about? Have you seen, have you seen, I never thought he looks young. I never thought he looked young. Yeah. So, yeah, again, it's a fan art I've seen.
Starting point is 00:49:41 He looks great. Like, he just has this good look. Steph, what do you make of all this? Do you think this is going on art could be the guy, or do you agree with Mike? Then maybe the hype train will pass it by. I think he could definitely be the guy. I don't think James Gunn has been the type of director,
Starting point is 00:49:56 showrunner, or any position he's in to really care necessarily about how big an actor is. I feel like he does a really good job of matching kind of big names with lesser known names. But it could. But I don't think he's reached the zeitgeist like that. I mean, he might have a fan casting, but, you know, we've seen that workout in people's favors like Asoka. That was a similar, you know, with Zario Dawson. And Ash was actually responsible for that as well. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:50:29 That's funny. I hope it happens then just so Ash can have like. track record. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think there, there are certain creators, like I would say, like a Dave Filoni and a James Gunn who strike me as like almost liking that. Like, I don't think that they would shy away from that if the person was right for the role. So I think that it could definitely be it. And I don't think, you know, Yellowstone is a big show, but it's not, it's not like Game of Thrones yet. And it's, I don't know if it will ever be like that.
Starting point is 00:51:04 So I don't think it's too big where people are it's like, oh, no, that was the obvious choice. I do still think that he is really, really growing in his popularity. It might be a perfect time for that. And I saw a drop. And it's an interesting premise, right? The movie,
Starting point is 00:51:18 I was supposed to see four movies this week. I only saw two. Bumbed. I missed my screening on Monday because I was shooting a show with Matt Sarah. I missed my train. I missed the amateur, which I really wanted to see. I missed it.
Starting point is 00:51:30 And then yesterday, I was in the city when saw sinners in the morning. I was supposed to see warfare, which I've heard nothing with great things. And I missed it because I had to get back with some family stuff that was going on. I had to get back to the house. And I did. But I did see drop on, I think it was Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:51:47 And he's in that. He's very good in the movie. I think he's underused. He's got a prominent role. But I think the character is kind of under is underused. But he's good with what he's given. inside of it. If I thought that Megan Fahey is obviously the one they're pushing in that movie because the stuff she's done with White Lotus and other things too. So she's the one that is kind of front and center. And the premise itself is pretty interesting.
Starting point is 00:52:12 It had me for the first two acts and then it gets so chaotic at the end. I was like, I was kind of goofy by the time you get to the end. But everything else leading up was pretty was pretty interesting. And it's it's a good time in the movie theater. I can say that. So, um, okay. But Sklinar to me, I think in the same way that I, it's, I, and it's hilarious because I see the, these comments that are going through and it's very similar to when Roxy and I said that Robert Pattinson would be a good Batman, Clare Live and I got the same thing. What are you talking about? It's crazy. He wouldn't be good in that role. I'm so curious of some of these people who were talking about
Starting point is 00:52:43 if they've even seen 1923. I wonder if they've ever I bet it's there the people and again, I've seen this that are like Alan Rich in his Batman. No. No way. Absolutely not. I love him. I think his Reacher. If he does Reacher and that's all he does the rest of his life, phenomenal. but he would be a terrible Batman. And I'm not saying from an acting standpoint.
Starting point is 00:53:05 The guy is a brick shit house. And Batman 6, 2 and 250 pounds. In a comic, it can work. Not in real life. It just doesn't. No. No. That's what I think.
Starting point is 00:53:18 I think he'd be great in the DCU. I love it. Shazam. He would be a phenomenal Shazam. You would have been good as he, man, to be honest. Yeah. You would have been good at him. And we'll get in a way of some of that news in a second, too.
Starting point is 00:53:32 But I got to ask you guys in general about whether it's Glenar's comments. What do you think in general? Have you watched 1923B? If you're going to comment, I don't think he's the right guy for the role. Listing what you've seen him in when you say that before you say that or if it's just the look, be specific in what you're saying. So put your thoughts in there. Let us know exactly what you're thinking. and if you don't think it's him, who do you think it should be?
Starting point is 00:54:01 Let us know in the comments. I want to know. This show used to be called the Sith Council, because we used to talk about Star Wars news all the time and all this of it. And it's just, it's kind of, it just hasn't had that match. It hasn't had the love. We changed it a while ago because we just haven't been that excited to talk about Star Wars the way that we used to be.
Starting point is 00:54:19 But there's a new movie coming out, and it is Sean Levy's movie. And everyone thought that it might be the next one after the Mandalorian and Grogu. So what will this movie be? When will we see it? Well, comicbook movie.com says the Ryan Gosling, Sean Levy movie might be coming out sooner than we think. All right, let's see. What does that mean? Sean Levy's new film in a galaxy far, far away currently has very little details released about it. But the writer has hinted at a possible time frame. Star Wars has quite a few films currently in production. There's the Simon Kinberg possible trilogy that will be considered episodes. 10, 11 and so. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:55:11 That's conflicting. That's not been confirmed. Another movie featuring Ray rebuilding the Jedi Order after the fall of the emperor again, James Mangold's Star Wars film that explores the origins of humanities connected to the forest, Dave Flonies, Star Wars movie, Tygo-T-T-D Star Wars movie, yeah, right, the Mandalorian and Grogu, and finally, Sean Libby's Star Wars movie. Well, Sean Livy has directed quite a few action comedies, including Free Guy, the night of the museum films, and most recently the most successful Deadpool and Wolverine.
Starting point is 00:55:39 He's been wanting to take a crack at Star Wars for some time, and now it was first reported that Ryan Gosling was being eyed for the project just a few minutes to go in January of 2025. Now the writer attached to Sean Levy's film, Jonathan Trapper, has spoken with Screen Rant about the new project. He said, I'm really not going to be able to talk about this. So yeah, you know, we're still working on it. Yeah, it's our fourth project together, and it's the first one since the Adam project. I'm excited. Tropper said, after screen rents, Liam Crowley expressed excitement about the project's development.
Starting point is 00:56:10 I hope it's on the way sooner than you think. Unfortunately, that's not a lot to go on. Sooner than you think could meet almost any time. We know the production on the movie will be starting very soon. So this might corroborate those statements, but it also might be wishful thinking from a writer excited about a Star Wars project, who he wishes could say more. Kathleen Kennedy did say she was producing The Mandalorian and
Starting point is 00:56:31 Grogel. And the Sean Levy film would be after that, meaning it is likely that it's the next Star Wars film to be released. Of course, things don't always go as planned, but that does seem to be the plan. There are very few details about the Sean Levy
Starting point is 00:56:47 Star Wars movie available right now. It is suspected to take place after the Skywalker saga, but not to be very directly connected to it. It's supposed supposedly a standalone story that takes place in the same universe. We don't know anything about Ryan Gosling's character, including whether he will be a Jedi, a Sith, or just some guy in the movie. Sean Levy does enjoy action comedy,
Starting point is 00:57:05 so it's fair to expect there'll be the genre, but that's not confirmed. What was, there was a rumor yesterday, and I didn't even see it because I was out in the road, and I know that I'm, thank you to Sean Chandler for joining Roca on the show yesterday, and thank you to Roca for hosting. The chat's going to have to tell me this, because I didn't read the article. Jesse Plymins was rumored for a villain in Star Wars. Is that for this movie? Is that for what, what, what movies that for? Because I saw it, but I didn't see what it said.
Starting point is 00:57:36 I didn't see what it says. I want to see what the audience says about that. And then we can kind of speculate more on this because I think Sean Levy movie will, they said yes, it is, it is. Okay. So that to me makes sense that if if the rumors, there's also rumor Jody Comer as being, is I assume that this movie also, if that's the case, of course this movie's going to be the next one out. And Kathleen Kennedy said as much. This movie is going to be announced that it's going to be releasing. I think it releases, it's probably going to release in May of 2027. It'll be the next one after Mandalorian and Grogu. There'll be a movie that comes out in December of 27 if I was going to guess. Now the question is, what will it be? My guess would be mangled, right? I don't think we're going to get
Starting point is 00:58:17 that Tyca movie at all. I don't think we're going to get the, the Kinberg movie does come out is going to be a long time from now, 2028, 2029, whatever. The, the Volone movie will gauge on the success of both Mandalorian and Grogu and Osuka season two. So I think that tracks
Starting point is 00:58:34 to make the most sense, Steph, right? You'd see, like, we'd probably get this Sean Levy movie. And if you're, if you're Disney, and this guy's coming off of a $1.2 billion movie, you give this to him for his next thing. You say, go, make us a movie and see what you can.
Starting point is 00:58:48 As far as the tone, the comedy side of it, if they make it like, There was comedy in real steel, right? Real steel should have been, by the premise, terrible. It's one of my favorite Sean Levy movies. I love that movie. Have ever seen it? Real Steel?
Starting point is 00:59:02 Oh, my God. Of course, I have, yeah. Do you like it too, Mike? I do. It's a really good movie. Yeah, Anthony Mackey. Oh, God, who's the girl from Lost? Yeah, Anthony Mackey.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Mackey was like one of the, like the, it's like not cold fighters. Yeah, you're right. You're 100% right. Yes, he was making a deal. deals. So, Steph, you hear all this. First of all, do you think that Leveys is the next one? Should it be?
Starting point is 00:59:31 And what are your expectations on this movie at all? Yeah, I think that that makes sense. Both him and Mangold are really exciting directors right now. So either one of those would make sense. But in the timing wise, yeah, I'm probably
Starting point is 00:59:47 leaning more towards Levy coming first. In terms of the speculation around it. It sounds really good to me. It makes me wonder what is going to be the tone of Star Wars movies moving forward. Do I have a preference of what that tone would be? Would it be best to do director by director or is it good to fill in this like overall vibe and have the directors fit into that space? I'm not sure, but it makes me think about that because you know, you bring up the comedy and sometimes in comedy and Star Wars doesn't work for me. The type of comedy that we've seen, sometimes it does.
Starting point is 01:00:25 Sometimes it doesn't. Like I like the droids being funny and I like certain situations, but I don't like the story having, like, it's a serious moment, and then it has to have something funny. To me, it, like, kind of takes me out of the world a little bit. So, but I think Ryan Gosling in a Star Wars movie is really fun. And I do think that this is a good, like the casting speculing, would be a good cast to get people kind of back in the theater and forced.
Starting point is 01:00:54 Well, people are going to be in the theater for Star Wars regardless, I think, but I think a little bit more like excited. Like, oh, they signed on to this project. This sounds, this sounds promising. I agree. I agree. I think that Mike,
Starting point is 01:01:05 it's like this, this is one where it seems like the right things are kind of in motion where these other movies are like, well, this person could be, or this movie might come out. We're not sure when this one. That Ray movie,
Starting point is 01:01:16 who knows when that movie's going to come out. I can't get anything to work with that movie. Now, Ray, I think, could show up in one of these movies. And I think that going off of what Steph said before, like you could have her pop up in the Sean Levy movie and maybe, you know, continue on there and see what happens from that movie and then continue on. Because if you get her having a prominent role in that film and then something happens, like, oh, well, what's the continuation of that storyline?
Starting point is 01:01:44 And then you can play that and like, now I want to see that movie. Um, the Taika stuff, the other stuff, it's just so far fetched. The other thing, Mike, because I want to hear your thoughts on all this stuff. Um, what's hilarious is that I, when we were doing Sith and we were doing, whether it was Jedi council, anything, when Star Wars was at like a peak, people were talking about Star Wars celebration three months beforehand, or what we're going to see, what's going to happen. It's next week. No, I didn't, and I had to Google it.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Nobody is talking about Star Wars celebration right now. I mean, you're not wrong. The only reason I know about it is because a couple of people in our circle are there right now for it. Oh, yeah. Who's going? The demons. Oh, okay. So they were posting about it.
Starting point is 01:02:30 It's this weekend, right? Or next weekend? Exactly. It's a week from now. Oh, so they went for a while then. I wouldn't, dude, if I didn't Google it right now, I wouldn't have known either. Yeah, I think. I mean, it's, yeah, you're right.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Every year it's always like, the Star of Celebration. I think maybe because there's nothing. that's going to be announced like there's no big like oh we're finally going to see that's the thing i think this stuff is this stuff we're talking about right now with ryan gosling all that stuff that we just discussed the strong movie stuff will be announced i don't know maybe because it's in japan this year so maybe it's not as big i don't know what do you think about overall you think you think the levy movie is going to go next uh you know talking about all we talk about It's so hard to think, oh, Christ, there we go.
Starting point is 01:03:19 It's so, I'm at this point, like, I don't know, man. It's so off the rails as far as announcements, firings, hirings, announcements, firings, hirings. I'm like, when the movie's ready to be showing a trailer, that's when I'll get excited for, I think. Yeah, I mean, we're not going to, well, you're probably going to, that's what we will get probably next week is a trailer for me and the Laurian and Groger. I think we'll get that.
Starting point is 01:03:43 Yeah, I think we'll get a teaser for Anilorian and Grog. we might as well speculate now considering we just all realize that it's happening next week um you'll get that you'll get some philony animated show or something that will be in the same you know time span with the same characters whatever um and then the the other stuff that we're really going to care about um at that point april 18th and or will probably show one last thing you know because it's going to be like they'll have an annual panel obviously um i wonder if they'll have any updates Now, here's, Seth, I'll ask you this question. Give me a percentage that Kathleen Kennedy at Star Wars Celebration announces, A, that she'll be leaving and B, her successor at Star Wars Celebration.
Starting point is 01:04:31 What's the percentage? 20%. Okay. All right. Mike, what do you think? What's the percentage of that happening? Zero percent. Zero.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Wow. Zero. There's no way. With them talking, this new movie coming out, there's no. there's no way and the way the how fast they extinguish those rumors I want to know real quick I want the audience to start putting their percentage in while you're talking go yeah and so I say zero percent the fact that they the minute we we we taught reported on she was you know stepping down this and that there nope nope not retiring she's there this is this nothing's wrong no ignore ignore
Starting point is 01:05:09 the man in the behind the curtain as like nah she's disney like you said she's got to go out on a high note And Disney is not, there's no high notes right now. 8%. 8%. 8%. That's what you're doing? Yeah, I go 8% for me. Very, very low.
Starting point is 01:05:28 And 20% is low, but that's still, that's high considering, you know. Okay. So we'll see. What do you guys expect to come out of Star Wars celebration? Do you think anything is going to come out that's of note? Do you think we're going to get some trailers? Do you think there's going to be some headlines out of this? What do you think the fact that hasn't been promoted at all?
Starting point is 01:05:47 No one's talking. talking about it. Is that a bar cry from what even a couple of years ago when Star Wars celebration was going on? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know what you think. What do you think about the Sean Levy movie? Do you think this is going to be the next one that really pops and that they do put it out and when will it come out? Put your thoughts in there. Let me know. All right. We're going to put those questions up in just a second here. But before we do, I got to tell you guys about Factor. I love Factor. I use Factor all the time and especially during the gym. So I'll tell you about Factor.

And I have a whole bunch of factor stuff waiting for him because he'll be working on. We're going to do some new stuff to the studio.
Starting point is 01:08:00 We've got to do some stuff with the lights. We're going to get rid of this stupid table. I hate this table. But we are going to be doing some stuff. In fact, it will be one of those things. All right. We got questions, guys. We got a bunch. All right. So right now, Steph, last. week when you beat roxy you started the questions circle at 29 questions so currently we're at 38 okay so you got an opportunity here it's mike gonna drag you down or pick up she markell starts us off as he usually does is the swordsman from daredevil the same guy that was dating kate bishop's mother on the hawk eye show i'm enjoying these cool little tie-ins oh that's interesting is it is yeah Wow. Wow. That's interesting. I didn't, you know, I'm looking at the guy's name from, he's from Breaking Bad.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Hmm. Okay. I got the guy's name, but that's him, yeah. Interesting. Good call. Good call shape. I have to check. I like, are you watching your two? I'm clearly, you're watching. Are you liking it? I'm only on three. Oh, okay. I'm not, I'm not, jonesing for it every day, every weekend or like every new episode. I'm not like, I got to watch the new one. I think because I don't watch it right away and within an hour, it's spoiled. So I'm like, yeah. It comes out at like, what, 6 p.m. Your time, yeah. You're my time. So it's like, I would usually watch it by 10, but by then it's spoiled. So I'm like, I'll binge it when it all comes out. No. All right.
Starting point is 01:09:29 Al-Baba Yaga. At this point, Batman 2 is as reliable as Mike's Wi-Fi. Oh, man, let's not be that mean to the Batman 2. Buster Barnes. I'm still confident Batman 2 is happening, but wherever perhaps underscore reason Reeves is taking a while. I think we get brave in the bold first. I agree.
Starting point is 01:09:46 I think we're going to get brave in the ball first. the ball first whether or not batman two gets canceled or not um braven the ball is coming out first if i'm james gun i can't i i think what james gunn's going to wind up doing is go look matt has this movie for as long as he wants it right everything going on if he wants to do it we're going to do it with him whenever he wants to do it but i can't hold back anymore so we got to have an idea here saying look matt when you come back you got it but we've got to go forward with our version first i think that's going to happen well that's very yeah yeah Al-Baba Yaga, you can have a kid born right now, and they're putting on a Batman
Starting point is 01:10:22 costume before Robert does. This is just killing me. Why can't we have anything? Riddle me that. I really do think more and more so, it's, it's clearly because there's things going on with Matt Reeves, whatever those are, and the guy deserves whatever time he needs. And Mike said it before. We're not owed anything. If there's something going on with the guy in his personal life, whatever it is, we'll know when we know. And we'll probably know at a point where we're going to go, okay, whatever, well, we understand. It sucks. We're bum and I'm sure you are too, but that's it. It just didn't happen. Shit happens. Okay. Okay. Next one. And this is Alex. After seeing drop last night,
Starting point is 01:11:05 I'm all in on Sclunar as the DCU Batman. He feels like Bruce to me. Still hoping we get Batman too, but I'll hold my breath. Interesting, Alex. And you got that just from drop, which he's, again, he's solid as hell in the film. I just thought he could have had him do more in the writing, but he served his purpose for what he's supposed to do. And Alex, have you ever seen 1923? I'm curious. Because 1923, you know what it is?
Starting point is 01:11:29 This is what I will say. This is, this is perfect. I'm glad Alex wrote that. In drop, you see what he can do as Bruce Wayne. In 1923, you see what he can do as Batman. Okay. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:43 Sean McCabe. Support for Mike's internet. I know your pain. It wasn't that bad today. Yeah. Isn't that bad today? Yeah, it wasn't that bad. It wasn't noticed.
Starting point is 01:11:52 You're reading, however. Zrod, what cameo in the studio is your favorite? Mine's Martin. Oh, okay. Are you guys watching the studio? Yeah. I cannot wait. I cannot wait to start that show.
Starting point is 01:12:07 I cannot wait. It's so good. It's so good. Real quick. Yes. Do your cameo thing. I got to tell you, Ash. I would tell you that I think Anthony,
Starting point is 01:12:15 Mackey's been really good. Scorsese was pretty great too, though. And Ron Howard. I mean, they're all, they're all so good. When he threw his hat, when he throws his hat at him and he falls over, like he got hit with a ton of bricks. I saw a clip of that. I pissed my pants. It's great. So, Roxy, sorry. Steph, what did you, what you love of the show? Yeah, yeah. I think I've, Scorsese probably so far, but I need to watch this week's episode. Okay. Yeah, real quick. Are you guys watching The Pit? Roxy talks about it She says really good
Starting point is 01:12:46 Everyone talks about it I wasn't like I love the R but I loved it for the character So Shannon started it I just sat down and I'm like It was out in the background So it's later I'm like This is the best show
Starting point is 01:12:57 Like People love Watching him To Noah Wiley Is that right? Yeah but like It's not like he are where everyone's kind of equal And sometimes you'll focus on what
Starting point is 01:13:06 His character The acting that he has to do And carry in this It's it's an Emmy master class With this guy And you know I don't say stuff like that. He is.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Really good. Okay. It's like the best word of mouth show I've heard of like adolescence and ER, but ER more so just because it's like week by week. Where I hear about it week by week by a new person who has completely different taste from the other person who told me about it. It's ER meets 24. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:36 Roxy. Roxy was talking about that show quite often. All right. David Jordan. Sending money to help Mike read. Fair. Simon section. Okay, I have to ask. What is an uncertain regard section? An uncertain regard section. Get that? Yes, what is an TV show or a movie?
Starting point is 01:14:00 I don't know. Sorry, Simon. I don't know what that means. I apologize. Mike Joyce. Mike, thoughts on the latest final reckoning trailer? I loved it. I loved how they're tying everything together. from the first mission impossible to the last there was if you watch it Mike when he he's in the entity and they have that flash thing someone paused it and it's a note that says still alive or I'm not dead so there's talk that Ilsa might be back so I don't know I don't know about you but it looked great Mick Horn. Hey Christian a long time watcher first time caller I love that I got some trade while the link was still up sorry they went away for now hey stuff
Starting point is 01:14:38 Mike I know yeah I don't understand look what are you going to do So many people, I did everything I could the last two weeks. They leave, they leave. I'm going to keep. I love trade. So hopefully one day they come back, but they're gone. Whatever. I love them, though.
Starting point is 01:14:54 They really, I mean, I had them this morning. They were great. Renata W. Hey, y'all. Can I just say that I love the new show, the studio? Oh, it's so good. I'm laughing with each episode and Deer Devil. Oh, my God, keeps get better and better with each episode.
Starting point is 01:15:07 Episode eight of Daredevil was fantastic. fantastic. I need to watch it. I mean, well, we're catching up. So it's so funny. Harry, we finally are like fully in the original show. And he's like confused about how good it is. I was like, yeah, this is the bet.
Starting point is 01:15:24 You guys are watching the original? Yeah, yeah. He hadn't seen it. And you know what else he hasn't seen Christian, which I'm so excited for. What? The Sopranos. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:15:37 I'm so excited to watch it. I'm like, we're going to turn into an Italian couple by the end of the first episode. I can't. You guys is an Italian couple. Do you know what's funny about that stuff? Are you doing? So is, is Harry on camera with you at all? He will, like, he's been filming me as we go and do stuff, but he, and I'll get glimpses of him,
Starting point is 01:16:01 but he's super, like, I'm going to have to work on it because he is the best reactor ever. He just won't. He is so good, but I would have to, I could never go live with him. You brought up, you brought up, you brought up, you know, the soprano said, Sadie has never seen it. And she was like, she brought it up to me. She was, what if we watched all the Sopranos and react to that? I'm like, that would be a major investment.
Starting point is 01:16:27 Yeah. But I don't know if the, I don't know if the audience would watch it. I know. I don't, it's like half and half. It's like, I think you should do like maybe the pilot and see what the reaction. reaction is why don't you do why don't you do you know the pilot but then like episodes that are
Starting point is 01:16:44 big ones like if you do Game of Thrones you watch the Red Wedding right by itself and other slower ones like put like do two yeah I think that what she's coming in tomorrow and I think what we'll do is I don't know if I the two you know Luke Luke is watching
Starting point is 01:16:58 Luke if you can put up a poll that says that you know Sadie's coming in to react with me again out of these two things What should we watch? Sopranos, pilot episode, or legally blonde, which I've never seen. So I'm curious to what people would vote on. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:20 Because she's coming in tomorrow, so I'll do that. I mean, Sopranos would be easier because it's only an hour. Okay. Mad Sinister McAll, favorite video games, Resident Evil Four is mine. Mike Tyson's Punch Out. The Arkham Games for Batman and the Uncharted series. I was going to say. Oh, I just watched the Arkham games, the story because I was taking a, I made a VO class and we had a video game week.
Starting point is 01:17:47 And it was like crazy how good the story is. Oh, it's really good. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's really good. Mick Horn, I saw Mike a few weeks ago when pulling up the LCS, but missed the chance to say hello. What have you been reading? DC's absolute line is dope. What's the pulling up the else?
Starting point is 01:18:05 Oh, pulling up to the local comic shop. Oh, Mike, do you go to, are you in Burbank? Maybe. But no, absolute, the absolute line is phenomenal right now. Like, it's such a, how many times they try and reboot Marvel does it, DC does it, but this one is, it's just hitting it. It's so different, but so familiar. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:24 And I just started, I just finished Green Lantern, absolute Green Lantern. And I'm going to do flashing Martian Manhunter this week. But yeah, that does some good stuff, man. I know Mike well enough that he's going to laugh as much as I did when I read this just now. me you know maybe yeah the 19 gays those are some crazy times well done mike well you know you got the roar in 20s and the 19 gays uh sign in section sinners so if rb3 saw this film he got honestly said that michael b jordan plays two faces that act differently yeah he was rb three always made fun of um mich oh yeah can i honestly say what is that baby iron
Starting point is 01:19:04 giant puppet behind step's right shoulder Oh, I am, you know, I'm remodeling. So this is like so I didn't want to draw attention to it. That's a light. Oh. That's a light. So in his, in his face goes a light ball. But my butt is so big.
Starting point is 01:19:22 I broke it when I walked by. I was like, damn. That's serious. That's serious. Nice. That's hilarious. Bad ass broke the iron giant. Literally I walked by.
Starting point is 01:19:34 I couldn't even be mad. I was like, yeah. Yeah. Shattered that. Victory. All right. King of the Wicker, people. I have a theory for Daredello.
Starting point is 01:19:46 Frank had an emotional look on his face after talking with Matt about it. Foggy, like he was involved. I think Frank is the one who shot Foggy and helped him alive some out. Nah. I don't think that happened, but I do think Foggy is alive. You do? Yeah. In the comics, they did something where he faked his death and moved to San Francisco.
Starting point is 01:20:06 Oh, really? because his life was so fucked up because of Matt. Oh, wow. Okay. I don't see him. I don't think so. Mike Joyce, I'm excited for Eddington the most. I hope it's more like Arioster's first movie, Hereditary. His last movie was bad.
Starting point is 01:20:21 There's a dick monster living in the attic. I don't know enough about that, but I believe it. Hereditary was so good. Which is the one? That's the one with Hugh Grant. I don't think so. That's her. That's heritage.
Starting point is 01:20:36 Yeah, I guess. Heronitarian is terrible. I don't want to see it. That's the girl that gets her head knocked off by the pole. Yes. Yeah. Oh, that movie.
Starting point is 01:20:46 Farina talked about it. But it's actually good. Like, it has. No, all right. Unknown. Saw warfare and it's intense.
Starting point is 01:20:55 It's not your typical war film, but it's great and realistic depiction of the war. Best of the Year, but I won't watch it again. That's kind of what I was thinking. I mean, I literally was on my way to go see that movie last night. And I had,
Starting point is 01:21:06 I was on the way. I was on the train. He headed uptown. And then I realized I had to get back to my house. And I got off when Penn Station, went back home. But, but yeah, I went, oh my God, Steph, I went to sugarfish in, in Soho yesterday. Holy moly. Wow.
Starting point is 01:21:28 It was so dang. Wow. Wow. Yeah. I was like, I was, you really think like, oh, this. is so gassed and then you go and you're like this is the to me it's the best simplest sushi you can i've never been i've never been to a sugar fishing i've never been to sugar fish in the land never been to sugar as general and i was wanted to try it but i was like it's soho so it's
Starting point is 01:21:49 it's probably pretty damn good and it was delicious so good yeah uh rafts uk rafth and batman two is like a piece of cheese on a treadmill yeah it's it's true for for we're the rats it is absolutely true um all right hey you guys are doing well right now. We got still about 40 minutes left and we're at 58 questions. You got a shot here, guys. You got a shot. Just around 50 to beat Roxy.
Starting point is 01:22:17 George Clooney's in the house. Good. What's up, George? Hey, D.C. If you need an Elseworld's Batman, I'm ready for my sequel. If not, I'm bringing bats to the premiere. I wasn't, I mean, it looked like they were setting something up with George. It's a flash hit. That would have been interesting, but nonetheless. Dancing Dog 60. Remember the 1998, Crow TV
Starting point is 01:22:36 series, huh? Was there a night? Was there? Yeah, Mark DeCos. I sure was. Okay. And it's actually pretty good. What's, I guess Luke put a poll up in the in the live chat for Luke, tell me what's winning once we get closer because I can't, I can't check it right now. I'm doing this. Dancing Dog 60, remember the 94 Robocop TV series, huh? I don't, Mike remembers all this stuff. I don't remember and I do. Yeah. It wasn't it called like prime directive or something? It was like, I think so. Maybe. Maybe. Matt Sinister McCall. Any odds? We get a live action Batman Beyond Mike. Mike would be great.
Starting point is 01:23:11 I don't know. I don't know. I think Mike would be good as Batman. I mean, if they didn't do Keaton in the Flash, that would have been the way to go with it. Oh, there we go. We're waiting for that time. There it is. There it is. There we go.
Starting point is 01:23:29 Right during the question section. Perfect. Top notch, fellas. Are you still look at it? This is a record. You've been frozen. Did my internet get pulled out? I don't know, but that's that maybe, I mean. There we go, we're back. All right.
Starting point is 01:23:43 Mike Joey. Audiences are dumb. My aunt asked me once if Batman was a marvel. She doesn't see movies in the theater, though. The audience that matters can handle two Batman. I don't agree. Mike, I'll tell you why, buddy. Because even though we would know it,
Starting point is 01:23:58 we're a very small movie-going thing. We don't make a blip on the scale of their money. And I hate to say it this way. like it's you the people who are watching this show are very biased and think that everybody knows these things everybody knows these movies everybody knows this no they don't in the same way that sports fans feel like everybody knows who the first basement of the met says no they don't and it's it's it's it's a it's a thing when you have these big huge movies they do attract the average normal person oh this new batman movie we'll go
Starting point is 01:24:35 who's Batman now? That's what's going to be the question a week before the movie comes out. Oh, who's playing Batman now? We'll all know when he gets cast we'll be talking about it for two years. There will be people who are going to see that movie. Oh, wait, there's a Batman, but who's playing Batman? That's going to happen all over the place.
Starting point is 01:24:51 Oh, they can handle it. They won't know what's going on if there's two Batman. And then to show you that their next answer will be, the next question, who's the Joker in it? Because they don't understand. They're not following all the villains that have been cast and they just think Batman. man and the Joker and that's what it is true dancing dog 60 if netflix and marvel is now in the mccu mershal ali was technically already in it as cotton mouth at this point i'd like to see a younger
Starting point is 01:25:16 actor's blade i don't think we're going to see mercial ali's blade i don't think it's gonna what a bongle that was when you had him being cotton out that he was so good and then they kill him off after season one and then they lose and then they put that other guy in there i'm like then they lose him his blade i mean this poor guy uh yeah it's not it's not uh It's not working with him, but I hope it does because he's a phenomenal actor. We're not going to see him as blade. It's not going to happen. Cupcake Bliss, I don't care for Gun or the DCU, but this is heartbreaking to hear.
Starting point is 01:25:45 I wish Matt Reeves, a speedy recovery, and I hope with all hope, there will be a Batman, too. Yeah, it's one of those wait and see type things now. It really is a wait and wait and see because there's nothing that we can, it's just speculation at this point. 62 you guys are climbing the great bobby jackson is here guns dc feels like my stealers waiting on the quarterback dc might be holding off on dc u batman until they see where rives batman goes i i think that's true but i do think also as i said before i think it's going to be a conversation of like but we have to have a timeline they're reaching the tipping point i think it's like okay we got we got to go we can't keep holding off on this well because look at it so let's let's let's do the time
Starting point is 01:26:29 the timeline right you've got Superman, which now comes out in a couple of months, if it hits, then you're off and running. If it, if it, that's the thing, though. If, and I think that's probably what they're looking at, more so than, than anything else. If Superman bombs and doesn't do well, Batman 2 is going to happen.
Starting point is 01:26:50 Batman. Yeah. If Superman crushes and the DCU is often running, and then Supergirl hit. then it's over for the Batman too. And I think Supergirl will then go from where? I'll say this. Where do we go from Super
Starting point is 01:27:09 Guy? And I don't mean the smaller movies like the swamp things and the Clayface and the Clayface. I'll say this. Yeah. So you got we have Clayface right after Supergirl, but that's smaller. But I bet, but I bet Superman does, if Superman hits and they're off, I bet we see their Batman in Clayface.
Starting point is 01:27:25 I bet he pops up and that's kind of his first like, that's who he is. I think by then they'll have a good idea if this is working. Yeah. And then it's an easy, it's an easy thing to just put him in there. And you know it also, it's a good thing to do also, Mike. It gets people in the theater to see Clayface, which is not, it's different. It's different like, it's different than Black Adam, right?
Starting point is 01:27:46 Now, Black Adam helped, it helped tremendously to get people in the theater by saying Henry Cavill was in the movie. That helped tremendously. It didn't do enough, you know, it didn't do good enough to make it have a profit, but it still helped tremendously. The movie was too expensive. This movie, Clayface, is not going to be that expensive. So if you start promoting it,
Starting point is 01:28:08 hey, Batman makes an appearance, then you're going to make up that budget and then some. It could be very smart. Yeah. I mean, they can do that. Like, that film could be the announcement of him. Like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:17 See the movie. You're going to see your first look at Batman. I'll say this, because they're doing some really good stuff. Minecraft, you know, they're talking about that, you know, you know, it's a hit this. WB put that Superman thing before it.
Starting point is 01:28:30 Do you know many people's eyes got on Superman because they went to Minecraft? Right. They weren't even interested in it? Dude, you're getting the audience that you want with that. It was a smart move. There was, I mean, I think Roka, which I did agree with this. I thought it was a, well, I can't remember how we,
Starting point is 01:28:45 I don't want to, I don't want to say the wrong words of what he said, but it's along the lines of could it be a desperate move on D.C.'s part For what they were doing. And I don't think it was. I think it turned out to be a pretty good marketing, play because you're showing five minutes of the movie now to a younger crowd because who thought that movie was going to make the kind of money it did so uh insane insane uh scott b jensen eckles has been batman in the past few animated films so according to guns animated live action
Starting point is 01:29:13 casting tweets he all but has the part um i know you're not what guns said is it's the actor will play them in this new version like eckles was batman that's also not true too because the guy who And 15 years ago. But the guy that played Sergeant Rock is not being Sergeant Rock. Yeah, I think Guns, an initial thing about the actor plays one role and he's going to be in all of them. I think that's out the window. I think he- Alan Tudik has four roles already.
Starting point is 01:29:40 Yeah, I think he should have said something along the lines of like, you know, it is very possible that the actor who voices this could also play them in live. And not definitive. Because definitive means you get a right question, like what Scott B is saying here. But it's not, it's not fact. Because otherwise. But also the films that Echols has done, those are old films that were pre-gun. Not DCU, yeah, right. King of the Wicker people.
Starting point is 01:30:04 I don't know who is Batman at this point, but if you have Damien, you need other Robbins in the movie for the whole dynamic to work. Star contrast with the Robbins. I don't know enough about it. Yeah, you'll have, Dick Grayson will exist out there, I think, already. Googly, Oogley, Yugal. These Star Wars movies feel like. like dating your ex. It's been long enough. We forgot why we broke up. It is kind of true. I mean, that's, but what I'll say. Forgot. Sorry, I can't relate. I never forget.
Starting point is 01:30:40 Every, every decision I've made has been perfect. Yeah. You old grudges, Steph? No, no. It's just like, forget. No, no, girl, you did great. You left when you needed to leave and you never looked back. Yeah. Exactly. There you go. Ended up where you are now. There's no one that got away. There's no one that got away over here. No,
Starting point is 01:31:02 no. Nathan Drake, my favorite crew on this channel. Thank you, Nathan. You see people bringing live chickens to Minecraft thing. WB secretly loving this. I don't know if they are loving this,
Starting point is 01:31:11 though. I think because they're going to have a problem with the theater. I mean, they got to have a good relationship with the theaters. And the theaters are not going to be happy with this. Because I'll tell you right now, because someone said in the chat, and I worked at a movie theater,
Starting point is 01:31:23 the pay is shit. You know what I would do? And I'm telling you, I know myself. If that happened when I was working at the movie theater, like you got to clean this up, I said, yeah, I'm fine another job. I quit. I would have left. I'm out.
Starting point is 01:31:34 Got to go. Got to go. See you want to see you. Yeah, I would have left. I literally would have walked out the door and I would say, nah, I'm not cleaning that up. Find somebody else to do that. I'm not doing that.
Starting point is 01:31:43 I would have left. I would have walked. And I think, and maybe this is one of the clips that we have now, too. Podcast host convinces massive walkout on AMC. That's what I tell you. I'll tell you right now. If they make you, and I'll be responsible for this.
Starting point is 01:31:59 I'm telling, I'll tell everybody this right now. Every AMC worker, everyone that, just leave. If they ask you to do this, just leave. Do not work there.
Starting point is 01:32:08 Let's leave. It is not worth it. Anyway, stop calling me. All right, let's see. Next one. And that is Bobby Jackson.
Starting point is 01:32:20 Even though it's on the nose, I'd like to see Alan Richson is Aquaman for Guns, D.C. I mean, that's a meta level casting, buddy. It would work. Yeah, it would work. See him play him again.
Starting point is 01:32:31 100% he'd be great as Aquaman. Yeah, jacked up Aquaman. Well, he played him once before. So he plays him in a, this way, yeah, he'd be great. Yeah, I mean, it looks like a totally different person now. Anyway, RJ McReady, my personal favorite panel end up on the Christian our show.
Starting point is 01:32:44 Thanks, man. All the co-ists are great, of course, but Mike and Steph are bass. Christian Killing. Thank you, RJ McGrady. I appreciate it. Base, baby. Based. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:52 Yeah, uh, 76. You guys need just over 30 something 30. Yeah, just around 30 and you can do it. 30 with half an hour to go. Steph's done it before. Nathan Drake, Mike and Steph, thoughts on Daredevil will we give them before. Steph, yeah, you didn't give your,
Starting point is 01:33:07 well, Steph did. She's been watching, you're only in, what season are you in right now in the old one? We're almost on a season one. So we still have quite a bit to go. You got a bit. And then Mike, Mike, Mike, you're only with three episodes in the morning. Three episodes in.
Starting point is 01:33:20 I'll tell you this, because I guess, one was what the new reboot did, you know, the whatever did, but I like three best of the first three I've seen. It's pretty good. That's the courtroom one, right? It was the courtroom all that like it. It gets significantly better, I think, each episode. I think there's one that I can see. Gandhepinni's kid annoys the hell out of me. I think he's supposed to, but he just annoys the hell out of me. He's supposed to. He's doing a great
Starting point is 01:33:45 job. He's such a weasel. He's doing great. Chris Craneer. The Reeve situation feels really scary like the Snifes situation minus a film being in production. It's kind of creepy. I don't, why? Oh, I understand what you mean? Okay. Something going on behind the scenes and they're just trying to say, oh, well, it's
Starting point is 01:34:02 just film, we haven't gotten the film going. We don't know that, though. It's hard to say you can't, you can't, you can't say that yet because you don't know the common conversations that maybe Gunn and Reeves had. He's just like, gun could have very well because Chris, you can't say that. Because what if, what have Gunn had a conversation with Matt Reeves and said, do take your time. We'll figure this out.
Starting point is 01:34:20 we know what you're going on. We're not going to tell anybody what's going on. Whenever you want to do, whatever you got to do, we'll figure it out. And don't worry about it. If he had that conversation, you're not going to say it's kind of creepy. You don't even know that you don't even know the situation. You can't say that kind of stuff until you know for a fact that what's going on behind the scenes. Go, pal.
Starting point is 01:34:38 If any of you have seen mob land, what do you think of hello Mirren's Irish accent? She's Irish. Isn't she? She's great, but it feels off putting to hear the boy. Isn't she Irish? No, she's, isn't she a dame? she's like she's British right is she yeah they they they night all of the top tier actors over there I mean you're right I thought she was because she kind of does one in 1923 um where is she I don't know
Starting point is 01:35:03 if it would be off putting to me because she's from England yeah you're right you're right they can usually do really good accents of each other no it doesn't bother me because I clearly didn't even know but I um I watched I watched we last night I was so exhausted when I got home and my wife was exhausted too we started trying to watch it and we really liked what we got through like 20 minutes not because anything except we were just exhausted from the day but we like what we were watching so it's it's good so far um but no not off putting for me have you got either one of you guys watch that show yet no i'm hearty's great in it too uh yeah i really want to watch it's it's it's on my list now i never thought anything about miran doing cockney
Starting point is 01:35:45 and fast but irish feels weird um fair enough i think i think i think she's is okay for me but i mean again clearly is bothering you joey peddress the new black mirror season's out today no one plan on watching it i know it's lost its lord last few seasons you know i've never seen an episode yeah people i definitely have seen a lot some of them i haven't when i've heard they're a little too crazy but i don't know it's like i'm so obsessed with great characters and so i don't mind like i love a show like white lotus when i get a full season with new characters but episode with characters, it's hard even though they do a good job.
Starting point is 01:36:22 Nate, this is for Christian regarding sinners. I've heard there's some sort of commentary, just curious if it's heavy-handed or more subtle. Not a fan of that stuff. Thanks and have a great day. You know me, I like the more subtle stuff.
Starting point is 01:36:34 And we've talked about this many times over. Most films, most films, good films, have message inside of them. The question is, is it slamming you over the head with it? I didn't feel that way. I mean, you're also, you remember where the time period you're dealing
Starting point is 01:36:48 with what they're dealing with in that time period, you're going to have that. And I think that people are just also looking for a reason and go, oh, of course, we're the bad guys, we're this because of, look at what's happening in that time period. There's things that are happening inside of that time period. And I think that the way that they play it is really solid. I did not find it. And I'm, and I get exhausted with that kind of stuff. Nate, I do. I didn't see it in this move. I think anybody can read into it and start to say, oh, well, you're this, this, I didn't feel that way? I mean, it's not the 19 gays or anything, but, you know, it was a different time period. Yeah. René Reyes, Ryan Cougar said the music and centers is much like a character in the film,
Starting point is 01:37:29 excited for this movie, for the panel. What's your favorite Ryan Cougar film? So it is very much, the music is very much a character in the film and you can tell. I mean, from the second, the second, the opening from Ludwig, the second it opens, you feel like, oh, music is going to be prominent in this. And it is. It's a theme in the movie. Music is a theme in the film and it's it is my favorite cougler film oh man it's hard because fruitvale station is such a powerful movie um it's a very solid movie but i probably have to say the first creed oh my my my default is black panther right but you say creed so i'm like oh yeah it's awesome yeah i'm gonna go creed to be the less popular like black panther would be
Starting point is 01:38:15 the given of just how good it was but if I see it's just so good I see sinners again I don't know man I was a great experience um Seth you go black panther yeah Chris green here
Starting point is 01:38:31 Mike Jensen is already Batman he already did the voice and animated and doesn't work like that support from Derek support from Derek thank you support from Derek Derek's oh Derek's coming in hot trying to push you guys over 87 thus far here comes Derek
Starting point is 01:38:46 old man Mike in the house. Good to be back on cameras. I'm taking some Gen Z Ace at the theater. Chicken Jockey. I'll say, Mike, read this, read this whole thing. Oh, wait, ready? Do it as corruption, Mike. Let me tell you this.
Starting point is 01:39:06 Let me tell you this. First shut your mouth and then I'm going to read this. And don't you say a word until I'm done reading it. Okay, you got that? It's going to be back on camera. It's always good to be back on camera. I get to look at my own face. after kicking some Gen Z ass out of the theater, those motherfuckers.
Starting point is 01:39:20 Chicken jockey. How about cock jockey? That's who I am. I'll show him the chicken jockey. I'll come in with the cock jockey. They're bringing chickens in the theater. I'll be bringing cocks to the theater. Cock?
Starting point is 01:39:28 As in the, not what you were thinking, no, like the rooster. I'll say this, though. They turn into chickens if I was there. Cock? Days. Perfect. You know, I don't know, Mike.
Starting point is 01:39:41 I don't know why we're talking about all this Batman stuff because he's been cast already. Giamatti like that. Mother fucking Batman. Paul Giamatti is indeed Batman. Mother fucking Batman. Thank you, old man, Mike.
Starting point is 01:39:55 Appreciate that. Okay, Simon's section. The Scarlett Johansson directorial debut. Lucy, too? Lucy. All about that movie. Mike Joyce.
Starting point is 01:40:04 Will your live event with Sandy live stream? I'm waiting for the, I got to get the thumbnail first. I can't put it on sale. We're doing the poster for it. And as soon as I get the poster, we're going to send it off to the venue
Starting point is 01:40:15 and then the goal is that we're going to talk about live showmen. We've got to get those things put into motion, but it's coming. Luke has been very busy. Luke does a billion things for this channel. So I'm just, I don't pressure him. I'm waiting for that thumbnail.
Starting point is 01:40:29 Matt Sinister McAll, Mike and Seth, what is your worst movie theater experience? Oh, oh, God. Okay, we go ahead. Okay, we got a second to tell this? I mean, go ahead. Okay, so it's, it's, summer 2000 i'm in uh coral springs florida at the sawgrass mills mall i had seen mission
Starting point is 01:40:50 impossible two already and i love this i'm taking my girlfriend to see it path theater opening night it's like friday i saw it on thursday it's friday night my girlfriend's with me this and i've got we're next like four people two couples and these they're talking the whole fucking movie and i'm just getting riled up and it gets to the point where it's the big moment where it's the big moment where Tom Cruise is like, you know, stay alive. I'll find a way to find you. And he jumps out. And he just starts talking laughing.
Starting point is 01:41:19 And I stand up. Pack theater. And I go, dude, were you ever going to? I shut up. I fucked up. And then I sat back down. And they, after I did that, I was like, what did I just do? What in God's name did I just do?
Starting point is 01:41:38 I'm with my girlfriend, who we had just been dating for probably about two or three weeks now. these four people they don't leave but they don't say anything the rest of the movie theater I'm like this is just about a half hour left of this movie I don't know what's going to happen now worst experience in my life what happened I don't know if it was I don't remember I think we just got up and walked away they didn't say anything because there were two of them right two guys and me but I think it was bigger than them both all right step they were talking incessantly the whole movie um Steph uh I think okay so this is so sad, but there ends up being
Starting point is 01:42:14 silver lining at the end of it. I think I've minded said the story. I went to go see Dune, the first movie at the I pick in Westwood, which is my favorite theater. It is my first time there, I'm like blankets? Oh my
Starting point is 01:42:30 God, don't mind if I do. And so I, you know, Roxia's extreme FOMO, I was seeing it with Roxanne Doreena and there's two seats each, little two-seaters. And so I was you guys can sit next to each other all sit in this seat thinking no idiot would sit next to me but i forgot it's dune and obviously the theater was going to be packed so this guy sitting next to me
Starting point is 01:42:54 and i noticed uh i might there might have been edibles involved so i noticed this guy has his hands in under the blanket on the right side and i'm like what's i and i get this really eerie feeling, which I'm not a hypochondriac. I don't freak out. I'm really good under pressure and I don't make up situations. But I get this eerie feeling. I was like, does he have a gun in his pocket? Oh, I thought he's drinking off. No, I wish he was jerking up. I wouldn't have cared. But I was like, is he like, is this the theater? And I'm like, freaking out, freaking out. And then I'm like, I have to go to the bathroom. But then when I go to the bathroom, I'm like, but what if I left Dorena? and Roxy in there and they're going to be.
Starting point is 01:43:41 And then I'm out of the bathroom and then my two best friends are gone forever. And I make up this whole thing. And I'm just sitting in the ruin the movie for me. I had to rewatch it later and it ended up being fine. But I couldn't not stress about it. And then when we got up, it was fine. I think maybe he was just playing with his dick. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:44:04 I went in such a different place because Mike and I were prepared. You're like, listen, I don't get into. these situations normally. Yeah. But like this guy would start playing with his dick. And he had to get a blanket on him. And then he just, it hit the,
Starting point is 01:44:17 I heard it slapping. People were chipping on it. I had to go to the bathroom and jump over it on the way there. And it was like it was. A lotion jumped over the seat onto my face. At least I hope it was lotion. At least I hope it was like.
Starting point is 01:44:32 Like that. And then you're like, that's what we thought it was. Yeah. No, I wish. I wish I would have been totally fine with that. I don't think. that's true.
Starting point is 01:44:42 Yeah, maybe. Maybe it was that. Maybe it was that honestly, probably was because why is your hands in your pants? He's playing with this ball bag. What a loser. All right.
Starting point is 01:44:51 Share with some hot chick. Of course he's playing this ball bag. Of course? I mean, of course he's playing with his ball bag. What do you mean? What's he going to be? What's my hands are in the first place? Not to hold a gun.
Starting point is 01:45:05 He's like, you put your arms up like this. Well, I agree that. I'm normal. You said, of course. because that's sort of the fucking weirdos. Of course he's beating his ball bag. Of course he is.
Starting point is 01:45:16 All right. Anyway, Derek Johnson, agree with Mike. If this is the silver age that Gunn is doing, we are definitely getting more Ted Cordes, Blue Beetle. Makes sense.
Starting point is 01:45:25 Why would Gun want Mr. Gold so fast for a team up? I mean, I don't know enough about it. You guys know better than I do. So if that's what you think. Well, I'm telling you. Accept it.
Starting point is 01:45:34 All right, all right. All right. All right. All right. All right. Derek Johnson also says, John Boyega, new blade. I'd be down. I'd be down for that.
Starting point is 01:45:41 Yeah, great casting and a good age for it, good age for it. I think Mahershal Ali, unfortunately, has aged out when he got cast in 2019, sure. It's almost, it's like the fact that it's going to be almost 10 years before that movie gets made from when he was essentially cast. King of the Wicker people, I think Frank is more likely than Bullseye not kicking, wait, I think Frank is more likely than Bullseye not killing his target. Otherwise, it undercuts bullseye's ability to be a threat. He can hip and not kill. I think there's also a reason behind it.
Starting point is 01:46:13 There's something. Did you see episode eight? I have not, no. No, I know you didn't, but I wonder if he did. Oh, I got to-a-huh. All right. Derek Johnson. Thank you, Derek. You guys are very close to Roxy. I can tell you that. TJ just had three Batman at the same time and no one cared. No one showed up to the movie theaters. No one cared. No one saw the movies. Of course, no one cared.
Starting point is 01:46:35 But you talk, which we're talking about the Flash. I think you talk at the Flash. There's three Batman in that. Then you have the Batman. The Batman was the one that we saw. And then, and then you had in the, in the Flash, you have this. But that's also part of the story. I know.
Starting point is 01:46:51 I get it. So that's like that's, that's the same way had like no way. Here's the thing. If the Flash made a billion dollars, we'd be in a very different discussion. Very different discussion. But because, yeah, in the same way that look, you could have, if the.
Starting point is 01:47:05 Spider-Man movies are all, like, those guys are all in the same movie together. And they didn't come out at the same time. They came out of different time periods. Yeah. All three of those movies. So, no. Edward Collins, too. Mike, I read your Bond book, loved reading it.
Starting point is 01:47:19 Thank you, Edward. Thank you. That means a lot. Thank you. Bobby Jackson. Unfortunately, Mahershala had other commitments, and him signing on to the Luke Cage show was contingent upon his character being killed. Ooh, I did not know that, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:47:31 Thank you for telling me that. Go pal. Mark Descascos will always be Sensei Pying from the middleman to me. Oh, that's from... Is that the TV series, the middleman? I assume so. I assume.
Starting point is 01:47:44 Oh. You guys are about two away catching Roxy. We got it. Come on now. Two. Okay, we'll see. We'll see if you got it with about 13 minutes left to go. So, we got it.
Starting point is 01:47:57 Alex, have not seen 1923, but I might need to now. As I might find myself the infamous infamous words of Sam, exclaiming, pause it. hilarious. Yeah, dude, I'm telling you, like my wife is, is not, she's, she's not easily calling somebody a star. She, we're watching that show and she goes, he's going to be like the next bread pit
Starting point is 01:48:18 is what she said. And she comes out of and this is like, and she never says shit like that. It's always, you know, it's always tough with that because you always, it depends on the projects they pick afterwards. Like, yeah, it's true. It really is. I mean, look at, I would have said Glenn Powell would be bigger by now, but
Starting point is 01:48:37 like Twisters was good, but it didn't hit like the running man's coming out. Yeah, running man. But I think he's smart. He's smart and that he's not going down the superhero route. Right. And he, so I think that's a smart play because I really like, I really like Glenn Powell. I really like him. And speaking about my wife does not like him.
Starting point is 01:48:55 She's, she's, she's, really. Shannon doesn't care for him either. She gets, she's annoyed by him. She thinks he's, oh, he's in everything. I was like he's like, she thought he was, she, she liked him in Twisters because She's a cowboy herself. He likes the Texan, but she doesn't care for him. I'm like, I really like the guy.
Starting point is 01:49:08 I dig it. I like him too. Alex, sad we won't be getting a Landon directed Scream 7 due to extreme toxic fandom. Between Happy Death Day, Freaky, and Drop, he fit the tone perfectly. Did he do the last one, the last few screams? I kind of read briefly that he was getting death threats or something. Oh, yeah, you know what? I'm not into that whole thing, but if you're sending death threats to a director,
Starting point is 01:49:32 you need to check your life, man. The fandom has gotten so weird. It's got, hold on, there's so much weird, oh shit going on with movie fandom. Like, in general,
Starting point is 01:49:43 like from, like, for such a long time. It's like the way people respond about movies and the way they, they do videos and stuff. It's like, it's weird.
Starting point is 01:49:52 Oh shit. Let me ask you something. And again, social media is asterisked that. Do you remember, like, and again, it wasn't as big,
Starting point is 01:49:58 but like, between like, let's say, you know, Bat, of Keaton to Kilmer, no we weren't like SWB they're not bringing
Starting point is 01:50:07 Burton back not bringing Keaton back I'm not seeing this we're like oh no Batman Gilbert if it's to be fair there was social media back there it's human nature yeah it's not because the social media has shaped this stuff to make it like oh I have access to do this it's not like
Starting point is 01:50:23 well it's just just this generation this generation was trained on this stuff because it's just it fell during their time if the if the social media fell at any of that sort of was like well our generation was like that were now phones if the if the phones would have landed and social media would land in 1932 right or the 19 gays right people would have eventually developed this type of thing because it's it's human nature to be assholes to each other and it's like I'm telling you like
Starting point is 01:50:53 the amount of comments and weird shit that people on movies it's weird oh shit it's weird oh shit some of that I'm talking about like I'm not everybody being passionate about movies I'm talking about what you're talking about like death threats on people and making you know things to where you're you're going after people's livelihoods and things like it's weird oh shit and people who do it it's they're weirdos i don't get it uh derrick johnson support uh cool cash hey christian i'm excited to see sinners but i'm worried because the recent trailer also you're awesome look that was my biggest concern was the trailer it's my biggest concern and i said it in my out of the theater reaction i said do i wish that they wouldn't have shown the stuff. Yes. Did I see certain things coming because of the trailer? Yes.
Starting point is 01:51:37 Did it affect my enjoyment of the film? No. I'm excited to because I didn't watch that trailer that you said spoiled stuff. So I'm going to go in kind of blind. You go and blind. Going blind. You didn't watch the last trailer. You probably like it even more than I do. I don't think I even saw the first trailer. Okay, good. Just go in there and do it. Jake, are you doing last of us reactions also? I want to say I appreciate all you do. Thank you. Your show helps me stay positive while going through a hard loading time well jake keep your head up first of all um and and look every every shit situation is the beginning of a new positive situation it really is and as far as last of us reactions yes i'm actually going to be watching episode one today i'm going to do
Starting point is 01:52:17 an immediate reaction for it today and then i'll put the actual full reaction um out when on sunday when after everybody has seen it so yes i will be doing uh last of us reactions for Sure. Mike Horan. Hey, Killer. Yes, to Burbank. It's the best comic shop. Steph, you're rocking Sandy at the end of Greece with that off the shoulder. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's fun. Hey. Yeah, Mike, you ever see me in there? Please say hello. True that. Okay. Let's see. Derek, more support here. More support from Derek, more support from Derek. Anthony, Borrelli. After 1923, Brandon Skunar for Batman all day. I'm telling you, more people who are watching 1923, they're going to get it.
Starting point is 01:52:58 They're going to get it. They're going to see it immediately. They're going to go, at one point, they're going to see him and then go, oh, that's what this idiot keeps talking about. I love the fact that I'll say this. The one of the good thing that helps is Gunn with Corn Sweat and Brosnahan, where is the TV stuff that they did. Yeah, definitely. So that's a good sign. Edward Collins.
Starting point is 01:53:18 The second, how can Sclenarby Batman if it's already Paul Giamont? He's a motherfucking Batman. That's the true question, man. That is a dilemma that they'll have to deal with. He doesn't want to go anywhere. Stupid, but we're talking about crazy fandoms. Does Batman's hair have to be dark, brown, blackish? Does he have to be blonde?
Starting point is 01:53:40 People will lose their mind. They will make a blonde. If he's a blonde, they'll lose their mind. Okay. So if he does get cast, they'll dye his hair. Is Brendan Stillar? No. Oh, he does?
Starting point is 01:53:51 Yeah, he's brown here. He's a dark guy. Yeah. Dancing dog says, way back Olofant would have been a great Batman. He'd be a great Batman now, I think. Okay, he has light brown hair. Okay.
Starting point is 01:54:07 Did you know Olufant was the original choice of the studio for Tony Stark? No, I didn't know that. And they prayed that he didn't take it because they wanted Donnie Jr. Like Favro wanted Don't know. They made the offer. Yeah, and he turned it down because they said, we'll green light it with him because he was a bigger star. At the time, that's true. more power and he would less drama.
Starting point is 01:54:30 Ryan S. Mike, you were in the Indiana Jones stunt show in Orlando in January 2009. If so, I was there and great job. I sure was. I mean, there's a very good chance you saw me, buddy. I sure was there. It's true. Okay, we got a lot of good ones here too. You guys have officially beat Roxy.
Starting point is 01:54:46 You're at 16. At a girl, Steph. At a girl. 116, but we're still going. Let's see if you, now, you still got Koi and Winston tomorrow. so you want to put a nice wedge in between the two of you. A little buffer. Derek Johnson, support.
Starting point is 01:55:01 Thank you. Okay, Simon. Mike, Christian, both read from an article about Cannes Film Festival. Scarlett and some dude is debuting directing something in an unregarding section. What the app. That's hilarious. Simon section. There you go.
Starting point is 01:55:15 Perfect. I didn't even like that. It's amazing. Okay. And here is Go, pal. I've never seen a second Black Mirror, but I remember hearing the first episode actually copied former PM, David Cameron putting his business in a dead pig's mouth.
Starting point is 01:55:29 I don't remember that. Who said that? Does I use that? Yeah. What the hell? What the hell out of there? Derek Johnson, crushing it. crushing it.
Starting point is 01:55:43 Joey. Steph, how's the script writing going? Oh, good. The one with Roxy, we're like really making ways. Yeah, yeah. We're just about hitting like at that stage where we're having other people look at it and getting certain questions answered that feels a little outside of what we're because we're so connected into it. So it's really exciting. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:56:11 That's amazing. I want to see what you guys are doing soon. It's crazy. Luis, sorry, Ramirez. Steph, you're wrong. One big get away. You from them. So true.
Starting point is 01:56:23 Oh, wait a second. I thought he was saying, step, you're wrong. I did get away from you. Oh, yeah, you too, Louise. You're the one that got away. No, I, not doing to talk. Yeah, I think that. I was like, damn, I feel so bad for them.
Starting point is 01:56:37 That's right. Shea Markell, are you guys familiar with the drama between Ed Norton and the director of American History X who kind of reminds me of Blake Live at the drama? Is that still going on now, though? I did. Or not still now, but like, yeah, they had beef over the director did not like he wanted to take his name off the project
Starting point is 01:56:58 because Norton had a lot of notes and other things and the director did not like the finished product and they had a like a big beef afterwards. It's got a beef with notes on movies, doesn't he, man? Yeah, but I'll tell you what, I like the notes on American History. That movie's awesome. That movie is really, sometimes you're a director and sometimes you're an actor. You got to do Norton write it?
Starting point is 01:57:21 I think he was a producer on the film, I think. Oh, then that's different. I think that's a different ball game. Jake, do you think reaction channels have more pressure to enjoy everything they watch? There are some massive Star Wars reactors that love everything Lucasfilm has come out and surprises me. I don't think they have more pressure. I think for some reason, though, that happens. It drives me and Mike nuts. Because it's so it's drives me, dude. It's not just Star Wars people. There's so many different people and trailers and everything too. It's like, it's like, I would much, and I've gotten this comment from people too like I'll do this
Starting point is 01:57:54 if I'm watching something in some big moment happens and I go and I do that I'm not going because some guy just took a sip of his coffee it's like it's like that drives me nuts oh my Lord oh my God! And you're like you just took a sip of a coffee
Starting point is 01:58:13 so you know no no no and it's it's performative bullshit I don't like that I don't think I and that's why I love real rejects they don't do that that's why I love is I mean so many and Cedar Pels. Steph, they don't do that.
Starting point is 01:58:29 So I do think that people just think that that's what they think entertaining is. That's why I love Sam. Sam is, to me, I would watch if I, if I wasn't with, you know, her doing the videos, I would watch
Starting point is 01:58:45 Sam do reactions because that's just pure. That's the way you feel like you're watching someone on their couch watching a movie. That's what it should be. Yep. I agree. That's what I would but there is a fandom for like people, some people like that. And that's crazy
Starting point is 01:59:01 to me. I don't know. What do you think Mike? I'm a, I think I'm a generation removed from it. We make fun of it in our, remember we would do the thumbnails of our faces. All the time. We would make, like, they don't get that. They don't get that we're joking. Why are you doing the reaction face?
Starting point is 01:59:17 Like Batman, I'm like, it's my favorite. My favorite. We put them on, Luke loves it too. We put we put those on like every thumbnail where you're like doing the big ridiculous face it's kind of the point of I delete people's comments and sometimes they just ban them if they say if they if they if they don't get it and they go why are you doing the typical reaction face I won't watch this channel if you do it like that's the joke stupid we can't tell you explain the joke it doesn't be a joke then Jake do you Mike going cross-eyed wasn't the line for you my favorite every every single picture that we would take in my old place I would tell Mike do the dumbest face ever and he'd be like you're going to use this one aren't you and i said absolutely
Starting point is 01:59:58 absolutely every time it was the best bobby jackson i have given the choice between him and denzil i could see maherchella as magnito and over denzil and for no other reason that he can play him longer i don't disagree i don't disagree that's that's a cool choice i love that yeah we talked about that we said that's that's what that's what they show i actually like him better than denzel even if it's not an age maybe so chris listen felt i used to work at the disney store when roguerun was coming out people would ask me why did they recast right exactly that that's a great point it's a great point they don't get it because they don't understand until it's like well and you and you chris has to be the one well actually no it takes place in a different timeline when this when the time period of this it's
Starting point is 02:00:42 closer to the original oh so it's before the death star right and then that's all you need right uh dancing dog 60 fandom has always been effed up will weeden used to get all kind of hate on early message boards back from the day and structure fans. So he's a good point. You're right, man. It's a good point. Shea Markell. Iron Mike is here.
Starting point is 02:01:00 Happy to see you, buddy. Thanks, Shaq. Is that me? Iron Mike? Yeah, yeah. Simon Selection. What exactly does it mean to be the next Brad Pitt? Having leading man looks but deep down, he's a character actor, what's in the box?
Starting point is 02:01:11 I think it's just like you, you, Hollywood is dying for the next big, like leading man to carry the Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt towards that like, it will never be, I don't think we're ever. ever going to reach the point where everyone's like, I got to see the new Glenn Powell movie. Yeah. But his name, they want the name to bring seat people to the seats. Like David Corenswatt's name is not bringing people to see Superman. It's Superman that you're going to see.
Starting point is 02:01:36 And the same way that Batman Batman. So studios have that mentality of like which actor is going to get people in the seats. Yeah, that's not how you do it. Alex, I worked at studios in 2009. Makes sense now that you've always looked familiar to me, Mike. I'd been waiting for Powell to blow up since Scream Queens. I like yeah man if you were there at the studios I was there all the time that's my main place I worked I like to me I feel like he has blown up yeah who uh that's what he said he's saying he's been but I think I think he said since he saw the movie I there was that movie the first movie I really remember him in was the Richard Lanklet or the baseball movie from the uh was it called the everybody wants some I think it was called I think so uh Shay Markell Christians my favorite YouTube channel dude thank you man I appreciate
Starting point is 02:02:24 that. We've been trying. We're approaching, we're approaching 200,000 subscribers. We're not too far away. Wow. We're 189 right now. 189. So I think we we can hit 190 soon. Shea, now the drama is dead and gone. At one point, the director was kicked out of the
Starting point is 02:02:40 editing room and the whole thing basically ended the director's great. That's what I mean. That's what I'm saying. That sucks though because it's such a good movie. Yeah. It is a great, it is a great movie, but he didn't, that wasn't his version of it. Okay, fair enough. So there you go.
Starting point is 02:02:56 Okay, let's see that one. Let's see if we get another one here. Okay. I can't remember. Oh, there it is. Oh, he did Chey Markill. Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Starting point is 02:03:08 And there it is. There's Joey. The Blumhouse business model is superb. They print money. I feel like they'll be okay not having the Chinese market if it goes sideways thoughts. Yeah, because they spend money on, like even the drop is a Blumhouse movie.
Starting point is 02:03:23 And I can't and essentially again, one location for the most. That's, but also it works well when your movie doesn't do well like Wolfman. You're not like, oh, we're screwed. Like, yeah,
Starting point is 02:03:35 it didn't work. What have we got next? Okay, let's see the next one. This is Anthony M7, 2. I saw post last week saying Sconar was cast as Batman. I thought,
Starting point is 02:03:44 oh shit, Christian called their freaking April fools. I saw that one too. Someone tagged me on it when it was happening. And I saw somebody post, Sclnor can't act. Clearly someone who's never seen 19, Um, Shea Markell.
Starting point is 02:03:55 Steph, that speed reaction had me laughing so hard. I went to rewatch the movie myself. You had never seen speed before. You did speed read watch through? Yes. We, I'm like, it is so good.
Starting point is 02:04:06 So let me tell you. I didn't know that dropped. Watching that in the theater for the first time was an experience. Yeah, because it's such a good movie. And even though Keanu Reeves had done point brick of this, he just wasn't an action star yet. Not to that movie.
Starting point is 02:04:22 That movie changed. the way we viewed him. I agree. And Sandra Bullock is just such a fantastic leading lady. It's great. That's such a great movie. Yeah. That and Jeff Daniels had the one-two punch of that
Starting point is 02:04:37 and dumb and dumber in the same year. And you're like, man, that guy is so good. Totally. Great cast. Big ball's been late. I actually got a postcard. He's in, he's at Sandals. And I figure where it was.
Starting point is 02:04:50 It was Jamaica. He was in Sandals. He's got the all exclusive at sandals, the all exclusive resort? Sandals. Yeah, he'll tell about it when we get the back. Dancing Dog 60, Blumhouse is a modern day Roger Corman of sorts with better quality. Kind of. Better quality, but kind of.
Starting point is 02:05:06 Yeah. Jay Mobile, Mike made a comment about the sensibilities of people and how that could work against Superman. They elected Lex. So could current sensibilities work against people loving Star Wars also? It wasn't this show, though, was it? I said something like that. I'm trying to think of what. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:05:21 I mean, it depends on what's happening. It depends on what's happening. We don't know what the movie is about yet. Yeah, we're not sure. All right. Look, we did it. 205 comments, just kidding. 126.
Starting point is 02:05:37 I looked at 205. That's how long the show's been. 126. So you guys are in the lead going into Friday. Only ones I can take you out right now. Coy and Winston. Coming in hot. So we'll see.
