I'm going to get into the topics and the things I want to talk about, as you saw in the title. A lot of rumors with Fantastic Four. There's a lot going on with who's going to show up. And now Sue Storm, Jody Comer apparently is rumored to be playing Sue Storm. So we'll get into that. We'll talk about this acolyte casting that happens. It is two. There's three castings officially now in the accolade.

And as they get closer and closer to D23, it's pretty much a guarantee that we're going to get more cast announcements and more about the acolyte at D23. So we'll get into that also. And then the Joker, the Joker is adding people to, I think Catherine Keener just got added. So we'll talk about that also. But there's a lot, man. There's a lot. say them at the end of the show but okay so what i wanted to tell you guys is when i when i left collider in 2019 um i was on my own for like two months something like that and i thought it was going to be for a while so we were you know created sce yeah and we did the schmobile we did all that stuff and i had a meeting with skybound and they were really really helpful and instrumental in getting us um getting us to that you know the fact that we were doing live shows we were on the trajectory of where smodown was going with skybound in 2020 before the fit hit the shan it was um it was pretty spectacular no pun intended and um you know things happened but i became executive over there i was i was over there and then after the schmodeown kind of ran its course i guess or

unfortunately didn't um didn't continue i had wonderful conversations with the people over at skybound and we agreed to part and go our own ways. And I said, all, I'm just going to do this thing on my own now, man. I'm going to do it on my own. And I'm going to just see what we can do. And through launching the Patreon and doing everything that we're doing, look, even what you guys are doing right now is still, I thought we'd get like one or two super chats today.

And already you guys are just too much. But where you're really too much is this, Brett, and I were like, look, we've got to build this thing out. The one thing I need is I got to get new lights. I bought it when I before I went into um before I I went into skybound I had bought all these cameras I'd done this stuff I maxed out credit cards I did all this and it was uh it was a lot right so I said I'm going to do it again I got to get lights I got to get LED lights as Greg Albo was in here and he's like you got to get better lights I was like yeah I do I got to do all this stuff I need monitors I need

I need I need a lot so we made an Amazon list we put that out there and and and when I did I was I was pretty shocked that we thought, because we said nobody has to get anything on the damn Amazon list. We'll do it all, we'll do it all ourselves eventually, even if it's like four months into it. The list that we had initially put up was gone in like three days. And we're like, wow, because we had, there's, you know, I needed stuff other. I needed lenses and other things. So we can, we can wait to put that on until, until later on. And now that stuff's on the list now, too.

Where, and I say this on Caps and Cowell is tomorrow, where the smoke, there's fire. And what I mean by that is anytime there's a big convention, be at Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration,

obviously D-23, whatever it is. Reporters are on the scramble to break stuff because they know things are happening, and they know things are going to be announced, then they know all this stuff is going to happen, so things break. And when they get closer to the actual thing itself, then you know it's probably going to happen, right?

So we're getting one right now. We didn't hear anything about the act like. Not a damn thing about the accolite. Nothing. You know, minus there were the rumors that Amandaa was in it. And then they were confirmed not too long ago, right? And then we got a casting of the day. And we get another one today.

Squid game, leading man, Lee Jung-Jet, has scored the male lead role in the new Disney Plus Star Star Wars series, the Accolite at Lucasfilm. Amanda Listenberg, except for the other lead role in the project, whilst Jody Smith Turner was also announced as recently joining the cast. Leslie Headless serves as a series director, writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the project, which aimed to put together a diversified ensemble of formidable talent. The mystery thriller, I like that already. It's unfolded in the final days of the High Republic era, several generations before the Skywalker's,

and it takes viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers. Well, it's called the Acklein, so I sure hope so. So let's get into the fact that this Ackleit series is already for me, the most highly anticipated for me because of the Sith lore and the things that we're hearing about it and we're hearing whether it's going to be Darth Bain that's going to be mentioned or Revin or any of these other characters that are that are going to be in the series itself right so I would say you pretty much take it to the bank that you're going to get something at D23 about the Acolyte now because there's more news and Leslie and Amandaela and I think everyone who's announced this or

or rumored as cast or announced this cast they're all they'll all be there I think we'll a little bit more about what it's all about the question is is this cat is he going to be a sith because the rumor is that a mandala will be a jetti now the question is who's who's the sith a lot of people are rumoring that you know d'arth plagueus would be kind of in that general area but i think the cast so far is pretty damn good from what they're putting together and you know you know what the funny thing is too you guys will probably get on me for this i've never seen squid game i've just heard amazing things i know i know i know Everybody loves it. Never seen it. But I hear it's pretty good. You know, this is, this is going to be really interesting. It's going to be really interesting. Because I'm just wondering now, because that panel on Saturday is, what, two hours or whatever it is. And you're going to start with 20th century, you would assume. And you're going to probably get Avatar will be the new trailer. I think that's where they should keep it. Just Avatar. Show me 15, 20 minutes of an Avatar.

panel, move on. Give the majority, give the remaining, you know, 40 minutes or so to Lucasfilm. Because Lucasfilm has a lot to do. The Acolyde, Mandalorian, Asoka, skeleton crew. I don't know. What do you guys think, do you think they're going to get any movies? I don't. I don't think we're going to hear anything about the movies. I don't think they should unless they know. I mean, I don't know, maybe, maybe. If they do, look, if you're going to put, three bets down. Tyke is probably in the lead of the one that they're going to announce, if they're going to announce one.

Then you got Lindelof, and then because he's there, the Kevin Feige project and saying what the hell it is. I don't know, man. I'm not sure. I will move on, though. I see people talking about this. A little while ago, Penn Bagley and it was rumored for Reed Richards.

And now they're saying Jody Comer for, for Sue Storm. I think this is another lock. I think both, I think both these two and was the director from Wanda Vision. It was also rumored for Fantastic Four. I think they're all a lock. I think it's too close

to the announcement. Source and the reports of where it's coming from too legit to quit. Had to say it. Stupid asshole. Had to say it. Anyway.

So I think the fuck is wrong with me. I don't know anymore. Do you? Who knows? It doesn't matter if it's live or I'm by myself. I do the same thing. I have these thoughts that bounce around in my head like crazy elves. They rattle on cages.

So it was like, you don't remember gossip girl? Do I look like I was watching gossip girl? I mean, I remember watching it once and going, this is not a show that I would watch. I understand why it's popular and I'm glad that people love it. But it's not for me.

So I didn't know that person. You know it from you. And guess what? I never even seen you. I saw you. I'm sure. I've seen you. I've sure I met one of you before. So anyway, what do you guys think?

I think it's pretty damn good casting for sure. And I think I think that she's, it's funny though, how like you see like universally how people feel about a majority, I shouldn't see a university, but a majority. You can tell a tone on an actor and actress, right? Like you look at, look at someone like Pattinson. When Patinson, when people who had not seen the rover or had they not seen a lot of the other serious stuff that he had done, they just judged him on twilight. So it was not this universal.

I remember when Winston came on Collider Live and he's like, I don't want that guy. He's going to be terrible. And I was like, this guy's a good actor, man. And not everybody was on board. And it wasn't this universal thing. Jody Comer is not that. Jody Comer, people seem to be like, yep, absolutely. I haven't seen a lot of pushback on that at all.

I haven't seen a lot of pushback on that at all. So yeah, I think that's a great. It's great casting. Makes a lot of sense. And then there's this Dr. Dune thing. There's this rumor. And again, we get into this pretty heavy on capes and calis tomorrow. So I don't want to rehash a lot of the conversation that we have.

But there's this big rumor of both Denzel Washington, John Carlos Esposito, Henry Cavill, John Boyega, tons of people that are going to be announced, like super hitters that are going to be coming in that will be announced a D23. I don't know how true it is or not. And Jody Comer was one of those people that was rumored. That's why people are taking more merit to it. But I think it would blow, yeah, not only blow the roof off if they announced Henry Cavill in, you know, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it'll, it'll be more so if they announce them as Dr. Doom, look out. That's going to, that's going to steal the, I think I'll steal the weekend. But people are pumped now.

I think that, you know, it's one of those things. I remember when London celebration happened. And it was like, you know, it was Lucas's like second Star Wars celebration that they had after the purchase from Disney in 2012. Something like that, right? Is that true? Something along those lines. Anyway, but it was, it was really, or more so the second one, it was the second one when, like, right after the, the, Force Awakens.

It was the one that they debuted the Force Awakens. And then there was, and then there was the London one. And I remember everyone thinking that the London one was going to be so big. It was going to be massive. And it was for the people that were there. And I'm not going to make the mistake I made last time and saying that it was,

it was crap because people who were there and the people who were there in London had a hell of a time. And it was a fun, And it was a fun time for the people who attended. It was not built for the news cycle that most cons are now, the major ones, right? And they've since changed that, whether it was Orlando, Chicago, the most recent one in Anaheim. And D23 has been a newsgetter for a little bit and has been progressively growing every single time. I think that they know how much hype is behind this one.

So I can't imagine they're going to disappoint. I think the amount of cast is going to knock people's asses. They're going to knock their asses. Yeah, sure. Someone told me I should get a T-shirt that said, Farts on My Brand. What do you think, guys? Is that good shit? What do you think?

Adam Project Get Out among many other projects both of those has set a major role opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in the Todd Phillips direct Joker Foliadu at Warner Brothers Pictures in DC films. She joins an expanded supporting cast that includes Brendan Gleason and the return of Zazi Beats Zazi Beats. Specistics, specifics, yeah, specifics. That works. What up, J.T.

specifics of all the non-lead roles are under wraps. Phillips is returning to direct and also co-wrote the script with Scott Silver. Projects expected to have musical elements and will be set in Arkham Asylum. I like that. Projection. Well, I'm looking at the screen here. just the, just the, of Catherine Keener, I'd love to talk about what you guys think about this movie in general, right? Because I think the Joker to me has become one of these movies. Like I love the Joker. It was one of my, it was, I think I ranked the number one that year. And I loved it. But it seems to me it became one of these movies like Avatar and Titanic and these other movies. I once it became very popular, people started hating it. Where do you guys stand on on it? Did you like it? Do you still like it?

Do you dig it? Do you not dig it? I want to know. I got to hear. Because I don't want to just poo-poo the idea of this musical. If it's all going on in his head, and there's just some absolute lunacy that makes it one of the most creative things we ever saw.

Now, it could be an absolute disaster, and it could be cats all over again. But maybe it's great. Is that true? Someone says that Austin Butler has been cast is a human torch. I don't know if that's true. There's a lot of different rumors going around about that too.

So we have those things. Now we'll move on. I didn't like that Shee Hulk episode last night. I watched the first time that I was fine. watched it the second time. So this is not that great. I liked the first two. I thought three was okay. I did not like that fourth episode. I'm sure some people are going to disagree with me in the chat here, but I got way more goofy. And the example I've been using, just been, I've been watching, um, rewatching the MCU with my, my daughter. And they, and they had this scene in both Ironman

one and Iron Man two. They're in a courtroom. And there's tons of jokes going on between Justin Hammer and Tony Stark, but it felt like a real courtroom. It felt like it was real characters, and it felt like, you know, it didn't feel like a goof. And I didn't, the stuff that felt real in the She Hulk episode was the dating stuff. And she's so good. And I love Tatea and Maslani. I think she's great. But outside of that, it started to get really silly.

And if you've been following me long enough, you know, they start to, it's bizarre coming from a guy who just said he wants. a shirt that says far to my brand that I think too much silly is is I don't know it's it's not working for me so I'm hoping to turn it around we'll see yeah it's it's it's just it's we'll see we'll see what happened um but anyway the show it's up there's there's so much on TV right now you know what I've missed Barbarian the movie twice now if you notice on my I do these things on the on the updates and on Sundays I try to tell you guys everything that's going on this week. Now there's been two times that I've I've listed and I'm going to see Barbarian and do out of the theater trailer reaction and and out of theater immediate reaction and and both times both

like my youngest got sick and my oldest got sick both times. So I had to like and I had to, I was I had to help. I was sticking around and I had to I couldn't just after working all day and and everything I had to I had to help. So I didn't leave. So I don't know. I want to see that movie. I hear great things about that move. Someone asked how many more episodes of She-Hulk are there. There's nine total, I think. Nine or ten. I think nine.

So at a half an hour apiece, I think that it's funny when you rank this series that are out right now, at least the ones that I'm covering, right? The ones that I'm covering are She-Hulk, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and then Andor will be the other one. Well, Cobra Kai as well. I saw someone ask this question. You think that D-23 is going to overpower

the release of Cobra kite. Yeah, of course. I think in the news cycle, it will. But one of the things that you can't, it's the same conversation we have over and over here again. Certain people who just love that show

are going to watch that show and not even know D23 is going on. But the new cycle, yeah, it will dominate the new cycle D23 in the Mousins made will dominate over COBrickeye, but I think COBRA will still do pretty damn good. My non-spoiler review is up. It's so silly.

It's like, I do like this new era that I'm in, to be completely honest with you. I used to, like, and I said, and I think people have the opportunity and the chance to grow. We talked about this, whether it was with Andrew Fried and Greg Alba. And a couple of years ago, I would, you know, I used to try to treat the comments section or comments in general like they were hecklers at a comedy club which was silly and and i can't remember who was but there was somebody was just like yeah just either ignore it mute them remove them and go on with your day and it's like i got to try to blah blah blah blah and sometimes you can have a

conversation with somebody who's just looking to have a a discussion and they're on a different point of view than you are and i think that's healthy but then there's some people who just are just want to argue with you and there was somebody yesterday so there was a um if you if you if you if So John Hurwitz is the creator of a Cobra Guy. And he had posted out a picture of Sean Canaan in return as Mike Barnes. He's going, all right. Well, he's a creator of the show. He's posted out.

He's letting you know that he's out there. So I mentioned my non-spoiler review that Mike Barnes is back. And this guy writes this like paragraph about how he used to try to watch my stuff. But now I said there's a spoiler. And now that I can't. There's a spoiler now there. And he can't trust me anymore. I'm like, creator of the show put it out there, guy.

but I was like, you know, look, this guy wants to go and follow the people. And that's it. That's his right. Don't do your thing. The hell am I going. I didn't respond to it. It's okay. See you later.

Because it's like for what? There's just more things. It's just, it's like it's one. I want to also be able to, you know, practice what you preach type thing. Where it's, Kate and I talked about it on the show. It's like it's just, it's just TV. It's just movies. You know, what do people get so upset with each other about?

It's like these, it's like they're screaming at each other. and calling each other names and threatening people over stuff and just like, for what? And it's like you can't, you can. And I said it the other day, it's like both sides are, and someone's like, don't give me this both sides. There's only one side that's just doing all the hate. It's really not true. It's really not true.

There's one site maybe that's pushing hatred, maybe so. But I think both sides are, there's no communication. And when you tweet something out, and we said this with Winston the other day, When you tweet something out, you're not tweeting something out to try to convince somebody of your point of view. You're trying to get the people that are on your side to give you the, yeah, man, go get them. Because you can't win people. A face-to-face conversation is a very different thing. I think that, you know, anybody in this chat right now or listening to this or watching on the replay,

I'm sure there's been many times, if you've been watching my stuff, that you haven't agreed with me. And I'm sure that I've ran, if I've, and I've had these conversations when I ran into people, at Comic-Conns. And they said, hey, you know, I saw that thing that you said, and I don't you think this instead of that? I said, yeah, but maybe this and blah, we talked, we had a conversation,

So I think that you're right in the fact that do it is what you make of it it's just i also think that it is a dangerous platform in general because i think it's just dehumanized us in a way you know whatever um okay let's get into game of thrones so game of thrones this show man house of the dragon easily the best show on tv right now

easily i am so excited for the show now that i get pumped up for it the way that I did the original Game of Thrones series and I'm so ready for it. I'm just so ready for it about and it's it's like the politics of it all too is what's so amazing. It's just it's incredible. I really love it. There's so much. Oh, it's so great. There's so many just great, great characters in it and like I love the way the politics to me are my favorite. The action's been pretty spectacular. The first episode to me I thought was for them letting you know that, hey, this is Game of Thrones. You're going to get the stuff that you like.

Two, I mean, it was awesome. It was awesome. Three, was really good. So, yeah, so you're saying, have you not seen Game of Thrones? You should watch it. Yeah, I mean, you said you should know a lot of spoilers. Sure.

Yeah, I mean, look, the thing is, this takes place 200 years before that Game of Thrones series. So, the only, you know, there's, you just miss, like, If the Game of Thrones, the original Game of Thrones series, there's a lot about, excuse me, there's a lot about like Targaryen lore in those types of things that pop up that, and certain names and things that'll maybe go over your head,

We just watch the original, and I'm not one of these people that say that, well, you have the animated. You shouldn't make a live action.

I liked the Cinderella one a lot, right? I like, I liked Beauty and the Beast. I didn't mind the Lion King. I mean, there's a lot of these ones that I didn't mind at all. And understood why they, why they make them and want to do like, And I get that the argument that Lion King is essentially animated, but it just looks real. Fine. But it still looks real, right?

That's the point is that it looks like it's supposed to look like real live lions singing and dancing around them. Do whatever the hell they're doing. And I like when they add things to the story, right? With like Cinderella, they added some things to the story and helped it out and build off of a shorter animated film. So they do something in the beginning of Pinocchio that I really, really enjoyed. a lot in the fact that it was like oh well that explains why geppetto did what he did and why why he

wanted pinocchio right and they explained it and tom hanks brings that to life and i was like man that's that's really beautiful then he's kind of lose that storyline all together um and then they the stuff that they changed or the stuff that they added some stuff that worked and they added some stuff that didn't work at all. Then they added, then they changed. They included some songs, but removed other songs. I mean, they kept a lot of like, um, the, hi, the lady and actors like for me. That's still in there. But they got rid of, uh, give a little whistle.

Give a little whistle. They get rid of it. And that's one of the best. Even my daughter, my daughter who loves everything was like, this isn't very good. Um, and then the, the one, I give, this is a sport. But it's like a small spoiler, but it's a stupid spoiler. Monstro's not even a whale. He's like a sea monster.

It's like, a sea monster. It's like a whale. It's like a giant whale. Oh, I didn't know one. Sorry. Simon section. I know how you feel about Rocky 5. However, would you have preferred that the end of Rocky 5 would end

of like blazing saddles when the street fight would include in an empty boxing ring. If it was in a boxing ring with gloves and they were actually fighting, even if it was in front of a small crowd, like, the way that they did, but they were in a boxing ring and they was like, it was like an, you ever see a movie Gladiator, not the one with Russell Crow, but the gladiator with Cuba Gooding Jr. and James Marshall, it was like that kind of boxing setting. Yeah, it would have been a hundred times better. It was the street fight with the trash cans and throwing people on cars and all that. Silly, Rocky should be fighting in a ring. So yeah.

We were talking afterwards. He's like, yeah, the problem was like you'd be in the middle of like a really good point. I'd be listening to it. And then the Schmobot would come in. And then you guys would forget what you were talking about. You move on to the next thing. And I was like, I got bug the hell out of me too. So yeah, that's it.
