Starting point is 00:00:25 Visit O-D-O-D-com to book a demo. It's O-D-O-O-O-O-O-com. The Odyssey, worldwide debut, clocking in at 200 million right now. What does that mean? For people who are saying this movie is going to be a disaster, a disappointment. I do not think that word means what you think it means. The Odyssey reviews, big, strong reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. We'll discuss that.
Starting point is 00:00:53 DC Studios might have gotten rid of one of the movies that they, or projects anyway, that they had announced earlier. Danny McBride, not only writing GI Joe, he's directing that mofo. We'll discuss that. What's that going to look like? And can Chris Carr defeat either Mike Kalanowski, Roxy Stryor, or Kevin Smets?
Starting point is 00:01:16 We don't know yet. Right now, Kalanowski and Roxy are in the lead, but who knows after yesterday's numbers? So that being said, Kevin Smet's watching from the beach. But now it's time for us to do the show. Here we go, everybody. You ready? So am I.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Did you shit in there? What's going on, everybody? Today on Thursday is the show with me. Hello. Here she is. Hi, hi, everybody. Oh, look at this guy. PEOB popping in.
Starting point is 00:02:00 That's all of us. Get out of here. That thing is the absolute. best it is when he figured out how to do that he and I both got this big Kool-aid smile on our faces just so we're gonna abuse that yeah when I saw it pop up and we were all signing off last week I was like what it's the best it's the best and he and he's able now to like you know chime in when he wants to go after Roka and stuff too so he's he's very he's very pleased with himself that is fantastic yeah so as I
Starting point is 00:02:27 mentioned you know we had a pretty good day with Smetzi yesterday he's off the show for like two weeks as he's working and other things but he'll be back in two weeks but he had a pretty good day yesterday So we got to see if we can top that. News, as I've been telling people about the Kickstarter, we're literally submitting it to see if it gets approved. Once it does, we're going into pre-approval stages. And then September 1st or 2nd is when we're going to launch.
Starting point is 00:02:54 I've been saying the easiest way to put this is we just essentially need 13,000 people to put 25 bucks. We make the show. There we go. That's doable. Come on, guys. I think it is. And we're almost a 200.
Starting point is 00:03:05 We're almost a 230,000 subscribers now. Open your wallets. Let's open your hearts. Yeah. And like you said, and let's make our show because that's what this is. And we're going to be doing that real soon. So I'm just going to be telling people about it.
Starting point is 00:03:17 We have other things that we'll be discussing. And that's really, that's it. So we have a lot to discuss on today's show. Are you going to check out Odyssey yet? I am. I've got tickets for Friday. Tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Yeah. IMAX? No, I think we only have a regular screening. I should double check that because Logan made it. And I love him, but he is very bad at technology. So even the A-List app, he's like, what am I doing? Yeah, that's fair. He's somehow a geriatric.
Starting point is 00:03:44 I don't understand how it works. You must try IMAX. It is so, it is so amazing to see an IMAX. But Luke sent me this this morning, which is the, I want to let me bring up this topic. And that, of course, is what the overall numbers are going to be. Where the heck is that article? Give me a second. I'll bring it up.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Oh, there it is. One moment. I'm very excited to discuss this, and that is another way for me to stall. And here it is. So the Odyssey is now heading for a 200 million global debut. I think that's ahead of what Oppenheimer did, which is interesting to discuss because there's a lot that goes into that. After all the promotion and attempts at controversy over the perceived wokeness of a new take on one of the oldest stories in written history, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, finally unveils for the viewing public this week. a swirled about the 70 millimeter iMacs showtime for opening night sold out a year ago and how some iMacs
Starting point is 00:04:42 in the UK have sold out for weeks and reviews are hitting any minute which will move the hype even more now deadline reports that going into the weekend the film was tracking for a domestic debut of 85 to 100 million and a further 110 million overseas for worldwide start of over 200 million it's a little above the 181 of Oppenheimer and the trade says the biggest question is how the film will overindex and what it make and in what markets there's no direct competition opening this weekend though the world cup is expected to have some impact the film's three hour runtime are rating and push to be seen on iMac screens could have impact as well with many expecting the post weekend sales on those large format screens to continually robustly for weeks to come for how much other titles such as moana
Starting point is 00:05:26 will be impacted also remains to be seen um well i think moana will absolutely be impacted and i think that it's just going to kind of, that one I can definitely say I was wrong about. I thought that was going to have legs and it was going to continue to move. I think that one's dead water, no pun intended. Well, even in one of its biggest cheerleaders, Logan did not like it. He's like, it's fine and good, but the pacing's all weird and like, it makes much more sense. Yeah. He was like, there's some green screen moments that suck.
Starting point is 00:05:53 It looks fake. It's the problem. It is. And again, my friend Brandon, who's a critic, we were talking, we were going over the budget. And he's like, for $250 million, you should just shot the damn thing in Hawaii. It made it look, you know, like it was actually on the island. Well, that's what kind of confuses me is, is in my mind, Moana is such a love letter to those islands.
Starting point is 00:06:14 And why would you not, why would you not showcase that beauty? And instead, you know, volume it up. It just seemed like such a big missed opportunity. It was. So I think that one's going to probably get hit in its second weekend for sure. And as far as the Odyssey goes, I mean, look, it is, and I guess you can kind of play right into this, we'll just fire it right. I'm going to do both so we can just talk about all of this, Chris, which is the reviews that's going to lead into the potential box office as well.
Starting point is 00:06:42 The reviews for this one have been off the charts, right? So it's opened up to now critics all over the map and now the Odyssey reviews themselves are spectacular. Reviews for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey have arrived and they appear to be essentially a career best for the filmmaker with 109 reviews. The film stands at a stunning 98% on Rotten Tomatoes with even more impressive, 8.8.10. Average score that's above his last Oppenheimer, though the average score is below the dark night.
Starting point is 00:07:13 The same is true over at Metacritic. It's 88 out of 100, easily the best reviewed wide-release film of the year so far, and the best for Nolan behind only Dunkirk, which is pretty crazy. And Oppenheimer. I love Dunkirk, but it doesn't seem to be universally loved by everybody. There's sampling order of reviews.
Starting point is 00:07:26 David Ehrlich says the awesome power of the Odyssey, the primary reason why Nolan's ultra-ground version of this story is a re-invigorating for Homer's epic as Homer's epic is for him. Amy Nicholson, Nolan refuses to tremble before the cannon, grabbing mighty scissors. He cuts and rejiggers Homer and a bit of Virgil to transform the classic text into his type of tail. Let's see, there's anybody in there generally that I know. This is a film with thrilling ambition, boldness, seriousness, generosity, and flare. There are some broad brush moments in the dialogue. Yes, but even those are applied with a muscular flourish.
Starting point is 00:08:02 So this movie, as I said, and it's funny, too, because I can now say, because his review is out there, Jeremy John and I got on the phone a couple days ago, and we're talking about this. He's like, because he had seen, you know, he'd done his review and he called me, he's like, I'm with you. This thing is a masterpiece. I was like, it's great. And he said as much as on, and we both laughed because we were like, I said, because Jeremy's usually like Teflon when it comes to the internet trolls, right?
Starting point is 00:08:27 I always get hit by the turds. But Jeremy's pretty much Tethon. And even in his comments, but I saw people going, how much do they pay in and do this review, Jeremy? Oh, they got to you. And I'm like, you're saying that Jeremy Johns, guys, bend the knee at this point. Just take, take the yell.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Take the L. It's like, it's, it's okay. You won the Supergirl battle. You won these other ones that you were going. You won those. Let this one go. You lost this one. It's going to make a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:08:53 It's going to do well. And it's a good movie. and it's a good movie and the things that you thought you were wrong about the things that you were wrong about and honestly I went in going oh no is this is are we going to get overshadowed by certain things because they're trying to tell a message no it's people in the movies in certain parts there's there's certain times that people are in the movies
Starting point is 00:09:14 for eight minutes there's other times the focus is on Odysseus and what has missed and what what the story is and it's a great movie it's a great movie okay good that that makes me very happy because one, first of all, anytime people are like, your opinion is wrong is just always so weird to me of we can objectively talk about some things that may or may not work in a movie, but like, let's all calm down. Let's all go outside and be fine. But I mean, for me going into this movie, I have been kind of, I'm going to see it because it's Chris Nolan, but, you know, between Wishbone and Oh, Brother, where art there, I'm kind of covered on the Odyssey. So I'm, I'm happy to hear though that this is such a well done movie. How do you feel about the modern dialogue? Because that's also another. thing that I've been like, I went in, I went in understanding that I had to get over that or I was going to hate it. Because the way that I separated, the way I separated and say like Napoleon, because Napoleon drove me nuts that like he was speaking like Joaquin Phoenix when he should be
Starting point is 00:10:10 speaking like Napoleon did with an accent or something. I mean, not necessarily he was going to be speaking in a different language, but something. But he wasn't. And that was a little jarring to me. And I said it in my out of the theater reaction. This is a, you know, it's, it's not a real story, you know? So that part of it made me go, okay, I can separate a little bit there. I can, there's a cyclops running around. There are big giants running around. There are other things going on. And it all feels real, though. That's, that's what I loved about it. The movie feels real, even in those aspects where there's not a second I went, well, they had this whole grounded thing and then out of nowhere, there's these big crazy monsters and shit. Doesn't feel real. It feels like
Starting point is 00:10:53 They're all supposed to be there. And I will tell you that there is one scene in particular that you will be terrified of, you personally. Like, it's not, it's not I stuff. It's not I stuff. But it's just, it's just you, there's a scene that plays like a horror film. Okay. And it's, and it's really creepy and awesome. So, but, you know, the one criticism that I am going to see and will absolutely have conversations about on this
Starting point is 00:11:23 show when people in this, most of the people who are in here right now, and maybe all of them, are well thought out arguments of people that they don't agree with stuff. They have conversations about film. Our community is mostly like that. And I'm sure that there will be people who goes, you know, it's kind of bored. And I'm going to tell you, in the same way that they said it about and or, which I don't agree with, I understand. If you didn't,
Starting point is 00:11:53 if you're sitting there and you're going, okay, the dialogue, it hasn't captured me. I'm not invested in the beginning because once you get to a place where they're locking you in
Starting point is 00:12:02 and then there's a spot in the middle that they're going dialogue heavy and really going into some stuff. And if you're not locked in on board as I was, it might lose you a little bit. I don't know how the end could lose you, but it just maneuvers in such a way. And I do understand the criticism
Starting point is 00:12:20 him as Nolan as brilliant as he is. He always has these sound issues, right? Yeah. What is that? I don't get it. I know some people who have worked with him in post-production doing notes of,
Starting point is 00:12:33 this is too loud here. Yeah. And him just being like, nope. So I, I guess it's a personal preference, but it's weird. It's weird.
Starting point is 00:12:45 I remember when we went, my daughter was either, I think she was just born, Vivian was just born. And when did the Dark Night Rises come out? Like 2012? Oh, something like that. I think so.
Starting point is 00:12:57 It was either 12 or 13, but I think it was 12 because I think my daughter was 12. Yeah, because on Mission Impossible, they did like a little preview. And it was my set. I went early in the morning to see this, the little preview that they did. They showed that opening scene. And it was myself, Ellis, and Catherine Wrightman, three of us went. And we went to watch this movie. movie, the scenes, and I remember all three of us going, it looks awesome.
Starting point is 00:13:23 What the hell was he saying? I can't understand a word that he was saying. And they had to change Bain's dialogue and make it more, you know, you can actually hear it. I didn't have those issues in the honesty, but there are some sound, there are some things that are, it's, it's sometimes loud. Um, but like I said, I was, I was just riveted by this one. I was trying to do, I don't know if this list is going to change. I made this list today and it is not necessarily my final list but just where I am as far as recency bias and everything else lands and I can change this by the time we go off the air as far as no one's movies the only one I haven't seen was what's the following is that
Starting point is 00:14:05 the name of the one the early one they did yeah right peel the following yeah so that was the only one that's not on my list because I've never seen it but I'll put tenant coming in last then insomnia then Dunkirk then Oppenheimer, then the Dark Night rises, then the prestige, then Interstellar, then Batman begins. And so for my top four are right now, I have The Odyssey, Memento, the Dark Night, and Inception. I think I need a second watch of The Odyssey that could either drop or stay, but that's kind of what I got at the moment. So we'll see how that lands. but um but the the actual the absolute the the critic score at 98% there's going to be you know
Starting point is 00:14:54 people who didn't even see this movie are going to review bomb it we know this already sure it's going to happen it's going to happen i've already seen so many memes about like the casting and all of this which is just so go go see it and give me an actual reason why you do or don't like it it's the most it's i i haven't seen a bombardment of like hateful comments and crazy shit um like this probably last Jedi it's been pretty shill's thank you um it's been it's been
Starting point is 00:15:23 crazy but I'm in such a different headspace today that I was back that when I was when I'm looking I'm just I have a lot of stuff in spam so I'm just like okay hi-hap channel I'm from channel I'm just going through it and goes I don't even read the whole thing but just kind of going back and and I just have to make sure
Starting point is 00:15:39 the reason I even do it without just going through and it's not even looking at all is because I don't want to get rid of somebody who by accident landed in there. So I, but I'm like a boom, boom, boom, just get rid of everybody.
Starting point is 00:15:49 And it's like, um, it's just so weird. It's like, it's before the movie came out. So it's really weird. And like the thing that I would have maybe taken more merit into it. Like I said,
Starting point is 00:16:02 when I went through and I was looking at Jeremy's review and I'm like, if they say the same thing to Jeremy of how much they pay you for this review, they got to you this. Then this, this, this even has less merit than I had yesterday. And they did that.
Starting point is 00:16:16 And it was so predictable that everyone was going after him now. And I'm like, you think that Jeremy Johns is taking payments for the Odyssey? Get the fuck out of here. I'm like, come on. Now, you know, you've lost any, you lost, you should have lost anybody. You got to, at this point, you got to take the L. You just have to. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Um, anyway. Yeah. What do you, what, but this movie in general, the box office itself, the thing, the difference is, bar, Barbie did help Oppenheimer. There's no doubt about it. Yes. Oh, absolutely. This doesn't have that.
Starting point is 00:16:49 This didn't have a negative campaign around it. I don't think it's going to have an effect one way or another because I don't think that the average person who really wants to see this is paying attention to smell my feet 87 about how woke it is. I think that it's going to do very well opening weekend. I think that weekend two is going to, like most things, is going to really be the test because Supergirl got nailed by everybody. It wasn't,
Starting point is 00:17:16 it wasn't just the people who wanted it to fail. It was the critics are going, this is just not good. This is not the case for this movie. So how much do you think this movie will make opening weekend? Will it surpass that 200 mil? And what do you think it does overall? I think it's going to land at that 200 mill.
Starting point is 00:17:36 I think that there is enough kind of, I don't know about it. It's a long movie that people are hemming and hawing. and I think it does need a little bit more of regular moviegoers as opposed to critics chiming in and saying how they feel about this movie. Because this is one too that outside of my bubble when I talk to, you know, my family in Florida or my friends in Texas, this is one that a lot of people have been excited in a way that when I try to talk to them about, you know, oh, Spider-Man coming out or or the release of Avatar The Last Airbender, they don't give a shit. And so this is kind of my litmus right now is how are my average moviegoers feeling? how are my non-sinophile friends feeling about this, where it's, you know, oh, I know that I can trust a Chris Nolan movie to be good, but this one I'm not so sure about I'm going to wait to see. So I think we're going to have enough people come in that it does exceed those Oppenheimer numbers because The Odyssey is a very epic tale, obviously, and it's something that people are familiar with. I think getting people on board with a movie like Oppenheimer is a little harder, and that's why Barbeenheimer was so helpful. But I still think this is going to do. well, I think it's going to not blow off the box office in a way that we're all like,
Starting point is 00:18:44 whoa, I can't believe this is happening. But I still think it's going to have legs and I think it's going to perform in a pretty nice way. I say that all sight unseen. I might change my mind once I see that tomorrow and go, wow, this movie's dog water. Don't go see it. You know, it really is still all subjective to me. I agree with you. And I think that it's going to be interesting in general how the regular audience really responds to it.
Starting point is 00:19:07 right that's going to be it's it's a three-hour movie there's no doubt about it and that's you're going to have to get people patience-wise so met sarah like and who i'm really close to now he's a really close friend besides someone i work with but last night i took um my daughter to his jihitsu school and um and while she was there and she was training with with him with him and his daughter's rather um he was telling me he's like how's the odyssey and i told you I said, it's phenomenal. I said, you're going to love it because he dislikes those warrior stories. And he's going with his wife tonight to see it.
Starting point is 00:19:43 And so I'm very curious, you know, what he is going to think about it. As he, as he go and look, and this is the thing that I think that people have to understand, too. You can be, Matt falls more so on, I think, like, the right side of the aisle as far as, but not an extreme crazy way. And the same thing, my friends who fall on the left side. we're not in the extreme and crazy way. But like he, he's going to go and see the movie. He's going to say it's a good movie or it's not a good movie.
Starting point is 00:20:10 You know, he's going to go there and he's going to, and he's going to check it out and he's going to, you know, and he'll be, for me, I believe that he is going to love it because the Odysseus story is just right up his alley. It's the thing that he always looks for in movies and warriors and stuff too. And I think that if you have those types of people who are going to see this movie, and his wife is probably going to love it too. that is going to carry over because people are going to that you like you said that word of mouth from the everyday person is going to carry over and it's it's a spectacle to see in the theater
Starting point is 00:20:42 that's why I'm assuming yeah yeah please do the same as you did when you saw supergirl and text me because I want to know what your thoughts are when you see it because I'd love to absolutely yeah I'd love to I'd love to hear you your thoughts so the question is for you guys what do you think overall because I can tell you my opinion of it I think it's going to do around one I still think I'm I know it's projected at 100 but I'm going to say 115 for domestic and I'm going to say over I'm I think it's just going to surpass 200 I say about 205 to 210 worldwide over the weekend so we'll see um what do you guys make of it what do you think it's going to do well you think it's going to do really well you think it's going to overperform underperform put your thoughts in there please let us know um now before we move on to some other topics I want to tell you guys about our good friends over or Kachava. I've been telling you about them all week. I'll tell you them again. And you're going to click that link in the description. Browse around, right?
Starting point is 00:21:38 Right? Right? I really do appreciate it. And I hope you just go. Click a link right now. Just browse around. That helps tremendously too. Just click that, open that up. Thank you very little. Okay. So we have, right now you've got over 26 questions ready. We're only 20 minutes. Pretty good. Thanks, guys. Kevin, like I said, Kevin had a really good day yesterday, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. know what his numbers are yet um so we're um we're gonna i think we're gonna have a pretty good day
Starting point is 00:22:10 today i can feel it but we do have some stuff with we talked about earlier we talked about supergirl and the dc stuff and there's another report this has come out of comic book movie and um dc studios may have quietly scrapped another chapter one gods and monsters dc u project so let's see let me close that down please and thank you okay so this one is by mike canalski's bestie says two years ago the news broke that dc studios was moving forward with an animated blue beetle tv series at the time i said the show is already in development with gal puga as to have been hard at work on it for months he was named as a showrunner with christian martinez was writing the series an angel manuel soto and gareth do not al susser
Starting point is 00:22:56 director and screenwriter of the twenty twenty three movie respectively were named as executive producers alongside John Ricard and Galen Baisman. Jamie Reyes, actor Sholo Medaduania, was also confirmed to reprise his role alongside unnamed other actors who started in the Blue Beetle movie. However, there were conflicting reports about whether or not it was continuation or soft reboot, meaning to bring Jaime into the DCU without any DCU baggage. Following news that Medaduena will return in James Gunn's Superman sequel, Deadline has shared an update on the animated project.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Unfortunately, it sounds like it's gone the way of the Unmade Chapter 1 Gods and Monsters, DC movies and TV shows like Waller, The Authority, and Swamp Thing. Last year, HBO Max revealed it would prioritize adult and family programming with children's programming, take a step back because it doesn't fare well and is no longer viewed as a priority. Blue Beetle animated series was targeting young audience who made up a large swath of the Giant Bugs fan base. There have been no updates on the project since the original announcement. I am hungry that burger on the side looked good. While the Blue Beetle TV series has it officially scrapped, it's telling me that it's telling
Starting point is 00:24:01 someone that it was mentioned at DC Studios. I don't know what's happening right now. Who cares? I'm making the movie. They're not making the show. I'm done. I'm making it. I'm reading this.
Starting point is 00:24:20 It's like, okay, I'm going through it. It's like, we get it. And I'm making the show. And I'm really got, I'm looking at this cottage cheese and berries that I have. And I'm like, I wish it was a burger. Anyway, so, I think that this makes sense to me. It's like, there's nothing wrong.
Starting point is 00:24:39 Well, it's kind of like a catch-22. Because the first part of it is stop announcing stuff, you know, that's, that's a DC thing. That's a Star Wars thing. That's a Marvel thing. Unless you know what's happening, stop announcing stuff. Because if you don't, if it doesn't happen, you're going to be looking like, oh, there's another thing that's canceled. It doesn't make sense.
Starting point is 00:25:00 It makes sense to cancel it. In the same way that Star Wars should stop making shows for. kids regardless of what George Lucas says it's always for kids kids ain't watching star wars anymore as much anymore it's not for them as much anymore it just isn't they're not like they care more about Dangan Rompah how do I know about that because that's what I know my kid watches Dagan Rompah if you have a kid you might know what it is I don't know what that is digital circus they know what that is but they don't care about Star Wars as much anymore and the same thing goes for D.C. and in comic book movies
Starting point is 00:25:30 it's not it's it's more of a millennial thing it's more of a Gen Z. thing, they, they do not respond to this stuff as much. And so going away from that and saying, let's just focus on the stuff that, you know, the darker stuff and the more adult stuff, fine. I don't, that makes sense. And that's another reason why they're probably bringing Blue Beetle into, uh, manna tomorrow. Yeah, that makes sense to me. Well, because, listen, I obviously love all these animated shows that they do. I am a big fan of creature commandos. I think by adventures with Superman. So fun. One of the best versions of Caras Sorrell that we've seen. I'm so excited about my adventures with Green Lantern, having Jessica Cruz in the fold. And I am still probably one of the
Starting point is 00:26:08 few people devastated that we didn't get a swamp thing show. But it keeps coming back to, hey, this all is good and well and fun, but can you please give me the big folks that I need to establish your universe? I don't need to have all of these side quests. And I say that as somebody who's a huge comic book fan, I want to make sure that this universe survives and we don't get another reboot soon. So, yeah, stop announcing stuff that's tertiary. Let me know about your Batman. Let me know about your Wonder Woman. Let me know about your Flash.
Starting point is 00:26:43 I mean, even like for me, a Martian Manhunter, the kind of like the big five or six of like the Justice League, that's who I'm really focused in right now. And I love these other characters. I mean, what they did with Jaime Reyes particular and like Young Justice. I think like there's so much cool stuff you can do with him. but I don't need all these different TV shows. I need a streamlined universe first. No, no, well, you know what they did when they made it? It was like they were, and this is not the wrong way to approach it.
Starting point is 00:27:11 They were going over the Marvel side of things when it was like the Promise Land and it was like the Golden Era. And they were like, oh, you just make a series about this person. Then we can do a goal of this. And then we can do Amanda Waller series and we can do this. And it's like, well, we can't even get people to go into the movies to see the ones that we need. Yeah. Let's not do that right now. And this is another reason.
Starting point is 00:27:30 pivoting back to that conversation, you've got to focus in on your big powerhouses right now in order to get people into that theater to care about your universe. It's like, you know, I do this, this UAP channel, and I talk about this all the time where there are these topics that are brought up all the time. And Age of Disclosure was a documentary that came out that a lot of the mainstream audience saw. And one of the reasons that a lot of people saw this was because, the director, Dan Farrah, worked with Steven Spielberg, and a lot of these, he's very connected
Starting point is 00:28:05 in the industry, and he got, and he's got a great PR person who got him on, whether it was Bill Maher, Fox News, CNN, like all these different places. He was everywhere talking about it. The stuff that was in there was all stuff that have been covered over the last 20, 30 years. And there's all, there are all reports that people have discussed and things that I'd covered on shows from other documentaries and other things. But documentary, from lesser known people. But when the big name starts to promote on other big name things, the word gets out there.
Starting point is 00:28:37 And there is no difference than putting out a big name like Batman or a big name like Wonder Woman to then push towards your smaller, you know, characters and your universe. That's how you get them in there. Exactly. This is what Winston and I kept kind of just geeking out about was since they were pulling so much from the animated universe, like the version that we grew up with, right? The Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, the Batman, the Animate Series stuff, that kind of thing.
Starting point is 00:29:08 We really thought it was going to follow that trajectory of, hey, here are your big guys. And now I can introduce you to the question. You know, one of the things I've been doing a lot of lately with the gym, I've been taking walks, longer walks, and I'm going to keep up with that during the summertime. And I just make sure, especially because the weather's getting better here, I like being in the sun. It works. And that's what I really like about Kachava. So Kachava, it's make it so easy.
Starting point is 00:29:36 It's an all-in-one nutrition shake. It doesn't matter where you're going. Kachava's the best. You get travel packs, and it's so easy. You throw a pack or two, and you put it in a bag. And it's just so, I was just happy with how easy it was to make it traveling-wise. Throw them in the bag. I'm going to a screening, whatever it might be.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Here are some of the great things with Kachava. Obviously, you want to have it for energy, right? and supports all day energy. It's got five key vitamins and minerals. The digestion keeps things regular. It's got fiber, probiotics, enzymes. Get your strength up for sure, fuel, and you're going to replenish your muscles
Starting point is 00:30:10 with protein and electrolytes. The metabolism is the best. It's nurturing a healthy metabolism with B vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Immunity, you can nourish your immune system with vitamin C, zinc, and probiotics. And your mind, nervous system, essential minerals helps dramatically.
Starting point is 00:30:28 So Kachava provides clean nutrition of fuel wherever you day takes you. There's no filters, no nonsense. Check it. This is one of the ones I'm going to try next. Just blasting through these things. There's no artificial flavors, no colors, sweeteners, non-GMO, no soy, no animal products, no gluten and no preservatives. You've got to try Kachava, risk-free, and their love it guarantee.

You got to use the code Christian for 15% off your first order. That is Kachava, K-A-C-H-A-V-A-D-com. Code Christian. Again, K-A-C-H-A-V-A-D-com, use the code Christian. If you head on over to Kachava.com, use Christian for 15% off first order.
Starting point is 00:31:20 All right, so I promise, like I said, I've been knocking through these. Yeah, they're big bags, but for me they go quick because I love them. them and you will too. So check it out. Really happy that Kachava is on the show. Your sales order says one thing. Your inventory says another. Your spreadsheet says good luck. O-Doo brings your business together on a single platform. From sales and accounting to inventory and marketing, visit Odo.com to book a demo. It's O-D-O-O-O-com. Now I can introduce you to Etrigan and we have this kind of team already established that needed extra hands. And so then you can get into all the fun, weird stuff.
Starting point is 00:32:01 Right. And I know, again, obviously it's always apples and oranges. D.C. is not Marvel. Marvel is not DC. But even some of the stuff they're doing with like X-Men 97, just having morph transform into some deep dive characters, hitting me with Maverick in yesterday's episode. Like stuff like that is so cool, but it's also earned and done in a way that makes so much sense. And if you're introducing me to, you know, tertiary or street-level characters who I don't really need to know about yet who haven't also had the inspiration of seeing these other heroes take the platform then it's kind of lost in the sauce it's not going to hit the way it should it's true you know it's funny you mentioned xman because um i had watched the first two episodes liked it and then every
Starting point is 00:32:43 i was talking to luke um and and luke was like once you get past two it's like just awesome too he's like one two is really good but like the rest of it is just awesome and everybody's saying that last night I get there and Matt Seris is raving about it. You've been watching X-Men 97? I'm like, no. And he's like, you know how to watch it. And he's like losing this mind over. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:03 And I bring that up also because there's a new rumor out there speaking of the X-Men. I don't know if you saw this, Chris, but there is a rumor now that Cooper Hoffman is said to be Marvel's top choice to play Cyclops. Yeah. Which is very interesting. I kind of love this casting. Yeah. kind of like it. Now, yeah, as the X-Men casting rumors continue, we can see this next one proving to be somewhat divisive, as Cooper Hoffman said to be Marvel Studios' top choice to play Scott Summers.
Starting point is 00:33:35 I can tell you, I think I know why it's probably divisive, but we'll talk about it in a second. The X-Men casting rumors have picked up a year or two over the past few weeks, as Marvel Studios is said to be rushing to assemble its main players for the long-a-way to reboot, though the trades have yet to weigh in. A couple of reliable sources reported that Adam Driver, is in talks to play Magneto. That's interesting. And we're now hearing that Marvel may be eyeing an actor who likely be viewed as an outside-the-box pick for Cyclops. According to my time, Shine Alo Cooper, Hoffman is the studio's top choice to play Cyclops. Hoffman is the son of the late Phillips Seymour and has gained acclaim for his performances in the likes of the long walk,
Starting point is 00:34:14 licorice pizza, and poetic license. But he wouldn't exactly be the first actor we think of when picturing X-Men's fearless leader at 23. he's the same age as Sadie Sink who was believed to be playing Gene Gray. I've also heard that Obsession star Indie Never Red is on Marvel's radar to play rogue. It's pretty cool. That's what I said. I said that the other day
Starting point is 00:34:33 and people like, I don't know, I know, it's Winston. Come on, Winston. Winston said, I don't know if she could play if she could play Rogue. That's my, she's my choice. Actually, I'll tell you, Margaret Qualley is my first choice, but she's pretty great too. And Bill Scarsguard name has been mentioned in connection with Professor X.
Starting point is 00:34:48 though the main focus is expected to be on the core team from the comics and other recent rumor claim that the likes of emma frost rogue and storm will also appear um okay let's see uh hunter scafer names continues to be brought up as mystique as does cynthia erivo for storm most recent rumors i mentioned the likes of odessa asian or rogue and wagner mara it's this this casting is going to be you remember chris when the um when the superman casting was going on and that was like anything anyone was talking about. It's all we'll be talking about in the show is the X-Man cast. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's just going to be who's up for it, who's doing their chemistry tests, et cetera. And the first, I like a lot of those names. I will say this. There was who brought up, there was a name that was brought up the other day for Storm.
Starting point is 00:35:33 Shoot, who was it? Was it, was it? Was it, was it, was it you that you sent me a Storm casting? Cynthia Reevo is not the right choice for Storm. She's just not. She's too, Storm is a big, powerful presence. She's little. She's little. Super little.
Starting point is 00:35:51 That just went and I don't mean little. What about you keep saying Adri Arona for one room when she's only 5.7? You can put two inch platform heels on her and it'll be fine. You got to put like 10 feet platform. I was going to say, you got to put some huge huge shoes on. What is she? 5.1? 5.2?
Starting point is 00:36:09 She's tiny. She's too little. And I know you can like Applebox people, but like, I don't know. She's not right for the role. She's not. She's very talented. She's not right for storm. But there's going to be a lot of different rumors and things out there. As far as Cooper Hoppin goes, I think people are going to say, like, well, you know, he's not, maybe he's not as in shape as like you think Stephen Somers is, right? And I'd say, was Chris Pyn. It was Chris Pratt in shape when he got, when he got cast as Star Lord? Certainly wasn't. Exactly who I was going to bring up. Right. It's like, it's like that that shouldn't be your, that shouldn't be your thing. It should be. Look, with a budget like that, I got him a trainer. He'll be all right. You know what I mean? It'll be fine. And he's got the charisma. Yeah, he's literally going to be paid to get in shape, first of all.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Yeah. Because that's part of this situation here. And Scott Summers is a brilliant strategist. He's incredibly pragmatic. He's got this stoicism to him. But we also have to see why Gene likes him. And there is just an inherent likeability to Cooper Hoffman. There is something. There is something that is just like relatable and kind about him in his roles. And I think you need to have that little layer in there too of anyone can show up and be the kind of monotone, hey, we're going to do this to me, my X-Men. But you have to root for Scott, especially because he makes some dumbass choices. So you need somebody in there who can balance that out and you need to have a really great actor.
Starting point is 00:37:40 And at the end of the day, that's what you need. That's why a Cynthia Revo is on the right track for what they're doing, right? Right. It's really great performance. But I feel like he's someone who's going to really deliver what you need for a summers. Totally agree. He was so damn likable in that Long Walk movie. He was so likable in that movie. Now, this is a, this I guess is a nerdy question for you because I mean, I was an ex-man comic fan, but I don't remember as much. And was Storm significantly older than the rest of the crew? No. So that's something that kind of changes throughout things. Sometimes we have, you know, the youngster version of this. when we first started out with, you know, the 1960s kind of iteration of the comics.
Starting point is 00:38:20 And we have like, they're teenagers, right? They're, they're at a school and everything. Most of the times when we're looking at the X-Men, Storm and Gene are going to be like contemporaries. Even to X-Men 97, they're almost like sisters because of being raised together. You also have shows, though, or other versions, kind of like an X-Men evolution, where Storm is the same age as Wolverine and everyone is significantly younger. That's what I'm saying. If you do that version, if you do that version of Storm, then Jody Turner Smith should be your only choice.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Oh my gosh, she'd be so good. If you do that version of that, if you don't, then you obviously can't. She's 39 years old. So it just wouldn't match up unless you do that version of her. Now, the other one that Luke had suggested, and again, I think I'm going to do the same thing now that I did the other day. He suggested DeWanda Wise. Do you know DeWanda Wai?
Starting point is 00:39:11 So let me see. I'm going to bring her up. Let me double check if I'm thinking of the right. version she's 42 also so like it's that's that's the same thing so the question again okay yeah she's that's the same thing so she's I mean she's younger she's older than than than jody turner smith so yeah so yeah just depends on what version you're going with there's going to be a lot of rumors there's there's going to be a lot of rumors as far as the rogue thing goes though and how old is market quailie she's got to be 27 is she I thought she was I thought she was early 30s I could be very
Starting point is 00:39:43 wrong you know you might be right you might be right You're right. She's 31. She's 31. Okay. Hey, hey, I'm feeling confident. I got, I got Cynthia's height right. I got her age right. Let's go. I do like quality for it. I still am Team Kiki Palmer. Because again, she's so charismatic. Yeah. She's so charismatic. She wants it. She can do a really great Southern dialect. That's my holdup on India is, does she have dialect training? Because everyone thinks they can do a Southern accent. As someone who is from the South, everyone just makes this dumb, dumb voice. And that is not necessarily. how everyone sounds. And I know, again, just like the fitness thing, you can get a dialect coach. It's what Logan does for a living. But I do want to make sure that somebody can deliver on that kind of like, Biloxi sound that I really enjoy from Rogue. Yeah. I mean, that's, it's super important. It's super important to do it to get that version. But I really would like to see them go with, as like you said, with the accent, everything to be honest, is a comic accurate
Starting point is 00:40:42 as far as the whole thing, because of what they did with X-Men 97. I would just love to see that and see how they're going to because clearly if you get and I think this is the same thing I talk about with the Star Wars novels. If you get the people who write these great stories like they did in X-Men 97, the comics and everything else too, put them in a writer's room, put them in a writer's room for the X-Men movies. And let's get stories like this and like get that actual feel because that's the thing Matt said to me last night that I felt from the first series. He's like everything just feels like it's ripped right out of the comic books like from the old school. Yeah. Absolutely. You, we were watching it.
Starting point is 00:41:16 And we kept pausing to be like, this feels like such a love letter. Yeah. Like everything about this, you can tell that everyone who's involved just loves these characters, loves the mythology around them and just does such a beautiful job honoring who they are, where they've been, the spirit of the animated series as well as the comic book deep dive stuff, well, still doing what they wanted to do. I mean, without spoiling anything tremendously, last night's episode had so many, like, specific montagey kind of things or
Starting point is 00:41:47 homages to things that it's just so fun and yeah you need those kind of writers in a room who are just stoked about what they're doing you want that because it just it's that passion that comes across clear and also just an understanding of the characters right
Starting point is 00:42:02 so like that's that's really what you want to see here and as far as the casting goes we're getting closer and closer and I think we're getting even closer because they're going to pop up in in secret wars you know it's not it's not we're going to getting this casting information not for the first X-Men movie. Well, we're going to first learn about Gene Gray within the next two weeks.
Starting point is 00:42:24 You know, we're going to get that. That's going to start the process of getting into the new X-Men. Now, I want to know, and maybe PLD can find this out for us, too, unless you already know, Chris. Remember one of the big hold-ups for the X-Men when Disney bought over the X-Men was that you can use the X-Men in film, but they have to be the Legit. legacy ones the Hugh Jackman's patch through because of their contracts. You couldn't recast or do that until what year. I want to, I feel it was 2026.
Starting point is 00:42:55 I might be wrong. I think that might be right. Might be wrong. Well, because all the X-Men licensing also has been so messy for so many years because of the relationship with Fox and then being owned by Disney, but then all the licensing was still weird. And then Universal Studios still had rights to them for being in the parks as to six flags.
Starting point is 00:43:11 Like, they're all over the place. It's one of the reasons why. we tried having that Inhumans show for a while. And it's one of the reasons why Inhumans came up in the first place was, well, we can't call them mutants inhumans. And so there's a whole bunch of nonsense happening there. Yeah, that's a question. I just don't know when. But I think we finally should be good X-Men license for Disney.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Because I think that's also part of why Fagie kept saying X-Men will be coming in this point in time. What's up, PL? Those are to expire in 2025, it says. Okay. There we go. Thank you. You're so much faster at typing than me. Which makes sense because you wouldn't be able to release Gene Gray into the Spider-Man movie if it was next year.
Starting point is 00:43:58 You know? Yeah. So that makes sense. So then you can start. So then that's why the casting and other things can start playing in now. So yeah, we're going to start. It's going to start filtering in. And the majority of our headlines will be who's rumored, who's cast and all those different things that people will be losing their minds or
Starting point is 00:44:13 supporting it or we'll we'll find out soon we'll find out soon um anyway so let's uh let's see what you guys think what do you think about cooper as cyclops put your thoughts in there let us know all right one of the things speaking of comics one of the things that i've been really hyped about recently and i've been saying this for a long time i wanted to see a gi jo movie based on i told you my favorite comment my two things that i read when i was a kid i read the x-man comics i loved the the Wolverine and Havoc series that they did and I was a big X-Men fan but my comic that I always read was the G.I. Joe Marvel series. That was the one that I always read from like the the first first issue. I feel it was like 1980. I didn't really I didn't read that one but I
Starting point is 00:45:02 eventually did. I didn't get it when it came out but then I started reading it I think it was like issue like 46 or something like that and I went back in time to want to read all of them and collected all of them and I really went through the stories. There were darker things that were happening. I always wanted to see there were a series or a movie based on it. And then they came out with those abysmal movies that were just absolutely terrible. And they went more so on that the same kind of mentality that He Man did because a lot of people kind of bought into it. Well, it's a He Man 80s cartoon. What are you off from that? And it's like there's so much more to the essence of the story that you can go past the 80s. You can go past that. You can actually get what it is.
Starting point is 00:45:39 So Danny McBride was on Josh Harwitz not too long ago talking about how he was writing a more serious take on G.I. Joe. And now the word has come out that not only is he writing it, he's directing. So that's the latest here is that Danny McBride is going to direct and not only just write. So this is a Hollywood reporter. And the triple threat was already on board as a screenwriter. David is going Commander, the star and creator of HBO's The Righteous Gempsons
Starting point is 00:46:15 is attached to direct an untitled G.I. Joe feature for Paramount Pictures. The movie is really just a change of ranks for McBride. He also wrote the screenplay for the action project that is based on the Hasbro Toy Line. It would, however, mark his feature directorial debut, a notable step up after having several episodes of gemstones. A Joe feature is one of the big priorities at the studio, which under new owner David Ellison,
Starting point is 00:46:35 has been ramping up development of major IP and brands such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And Star Trek, some of those titles are moving on multiple development tracks, including Joe, which earlier this year had had a second script being developed by Max Landis. That one did not move ahead. Plot details for the version are being kept under the Chaplain's assistant schools motor pole in Fort Wadsworth. Joe is the popular action figure line launched in mid-1960s, yada yada, capturing the decade's macho and patriotic zeitkeyes.
Starting point is 00:47:03 It was appropriately named GI Joe. This version not only introduced a commander or strike force with Duke roadblock. snake eyes with also over the top high-tech adversary the terrorist organization known as cobra with key bad guys cobra commander baroness and destro and czartan paramount made three gijo movies rise a cobra retaliation and a snake eyes spin off in 2021 the studio has been finding a way to reboot the franchise ever since um let's see if there's any other thing about the actual take bryd is rip now all right so it doesn't really get into the details about the story of the tone or all that things like you said you can go to josh harvitz's interviews he's taking a little more serious
Starting point is 00:47:39 tone it transferred over again to my casual friends who my friend um james who is a big gi jo comic fan as well said this got me hopeful it's a more serious take on gi joe i was like yep that's what i heard as well so i would actually love the opportunity to try to get in a conversation with danny mcbride about this because i would love to pick his brain about seeing where he's going to go and see if he has any inspiration with those comics because and kevin smet's you're watching this or clip this out because i want to see i want I want to put a short together on this one and tag Danny McBride on it because my question to Danny McBride is, are you diving into those Marvel comics? And are you going to be tackling some of those, the essence of what, like, issues like 46 to like 58 really covered? And I know
Starting point is 00:48:24 them so well in the snake eyes, the storm shadow, the rise of, of Sampanthor and all the cloning and other things they did. It was really, really great in how they put this stuff. together. I want to see what he's going to do. So we shall see and I'm excited about it. Do you have any care at all for this property, Chris? So I only grew up with the cartoon and then my brother had, you know, G.I. Joe's or one Christmas, my uncle Mike accidentally bought him G.I. Jains. And we didn't realize it until he went to change their uniform. It was a wonderful day of discovery for Hey, Hey, Hey. But I don't know about the comics really at all. And so it's really interesting to hear about this darker tone and everything. And that keeps being my question, too, is how do you make a G.I. Joe
Starting point is 00:49:11 film feel G.I. Joe, as opposed to a run-of-a-mill military operation. You know, it's the same kind of thing as when people were saying, oh, we should have a call of duty movie. Cool. How do I know it's a call of duty movie? What makes it very specifically that kind of IP? And so hearing about some of those different storylines in there, that's what I would want to see then. That's all that. That's I'll just answer your question. That's really all it. It's the characters and the mythology behind it. That's what they have to be able to put forward. And you got to get the right people to be the leaders of it because my favorite storylines, as I mentioned, Rowe is Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes. But they weren't always like, they weren't the focus of it. That was like the side story. Snake Eyes would have his own issues. There's a really cool one. I think it is. And PLD, you want to see how good I am at this. It's either issue 21 or someone. somewhere in the 30s where Snake Eyes has his own issues. The cover is him kind of hanging off the side of a building, but the entire thing has no dialogue in the entire issue.
Starting point is 00:50:15 It's just because he doesn't speak. So the whole thing is just no dialogue. And if we can get that covers, you can find that cover. I'll put it on the show. But he's like, he's hanging off this building. And I think it's either issue 21 or it's issue like somewhere in the 30s. I can't remember. Anyway, point is there's so much there with those.
Starting point is 00:50:33 those two, but the question is then, what are they going to do with, like, Duke, right? Because Duke is really the leader of it. It was issue 21. I was right. That's crazy. That's crazy that I remember that. That's crazy. Issue 21. Yeah, because I read that thing back and forward or looked at it, back and forward so many different times. But Duke is the question. And now there's some casting that's going around now, too. And the casting is that Bradley Cooper has now joined the new G.I. Joe. So Bradley Cooper has reportedly joined the cast of the reboot of G.I. Joe. Danny McBride has penned the script for the feature, which could begin filming at the end of the year.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Nexus Point News broke the story indicating that Chris Hemsworth originally had the lead role, but dropped out, and now Cooper's coming in. Cooper previously worked with McBride on both Cameron Crow's Aloha and briefly on McBride's HBO series of Righteous Gemstones. Cooper is currently filming the Ocean's 11 prequel, which he stars in, writes, and directs. Wow, I didn't know that. This would be his immediate next project after that. Three live action, you know, we know that already. McBride's also going to direct. So we don't really know.
Starting point is 00:51:38 I would assume he's probably going to play Duke. That would make sense to me. It's going to play Duke. But, you know, you're probably going to have him as the overall lead in that one. But Bradley Cooper, I mean, Bradley Cooper, again, he's up there, but he could be the leader. He could be the leader for sure. Absolutely. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:53 God, Chris, I want this to work. I want this to work so badly. I wanted it to work. I wanted it to work the same way I wanted it to work for human. I don't have the same type of attachment to it, you know, because of the business side of it. There it is. That's it. Oh, sick. Okay. And that closed, issue 21. Yep. That was the most unusual G.I.J. Story ever. Look at, look at the price for the comic. I'm putting that. How much that? 60 cents. Remember those days? Oh, man. Gosh. When I try to bag and board now, I'm just like, here's my money. I still have that issue. I still have it. It's a, it's at my dad somewhere in,
Starting point is 00:52:27 in in uh in in florida i gotta i gotta get it is that the kind of thing that you would see how much it's worth and potentially sell or would you keep it and like showcase it no because i can't imagine they're in the best condition i'm sure that they're okay but um i definitely have i want i'd like to go back and see which uh which ones that i have some i i definitely have a bunch of gi jo comics at my dad somewhere um but anyway really looking forward to seeing what it is um PLD, I don't know if you reach out to our management team or whoever it is to see if we can try to, we got to try to line up an interview with McBride. I got it. I got to talk to him.
Starting point is 00:53:05 Just to know, is there anything from the damn comics? Anything at all. That's all I want to. Anyway, I'm curious if anybody else gives you shit about this, or I'm going to be the only one in the theater seeing it. I think you thought about and let us know. All right. I think that's good for today, Chris. I think we have a, I think we covered a bunch.
Starting point is 00:53:24 I think you covered a bunch. Oh, can I bitch about something real quick? Of course you can. Oh, my gosh, thank you. I tried to log in to A-List at 7 a.m. to see the limited screenings of Avatar Ing, Last Airbender. Everything's already taken. I am devastated.
Starting point is 00:53:39 Oh, no. I'm so devastating. Because it's also, it's playing at like the AMC6 or some nonsense. Oh. So it's a tiny theater. I'm just so annoyed with Paramount for not putting it in wide release. I'm so annoyed I didn't get a ticket. So you can't see it.
Starting point is 00:53:52 They're not. I can watch it streaming. So that's the option for me. But I got so excited to go see it in the theater. I think Paramount really shit the bed on this one. This would have been a cash cow for them, I think. I mean, lining up with Spider-Man, not so much, but releasing it in theaters on a different day,
Starting point is 00:54:08 I'm so mad. I'm sorry that happened. That stinks. It's okay. If anyone can work any magic for me, if anyone watching has any AMC magic or power, help a girl out because I love this stuff so much. I have my steel book on display.
Starting point is 00:54:21 I've read the novels. I love this world so much. So if anyone out there can help me, please do. There you go. All right. Let's get into this, Chris, because we got, we got 52 so far. We're trying to beat Kevin Smet. She's going to need some firepower here, and I think we can get it.
Starting point is 00:54:38 Let's do it. I want those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers in this racket. Nice. Nathan Drake, I think Spider-Man will eat into Odyssey overall box office and keep it reaching from a billion, unfortunately. I don't think that's crazy to say. No, not at all.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Yeah, because the difference is like Barbie and Oppenheimer, two radically different audiences. This is not the case. Spider-Man's audience might be holding out from seeing, saying, you know what? I'm not going to see Odyssey. I got Spider-Man coming out. I'm going to spend my money there instead. It comes out two weeks later. I'll catch Odyssey later.
Starting point is 00:55:12 That's possible. Or vice versa. People who are just like, you know what? I saw Odyssey. I'm not going to see Spider-Man. I don't think Spider-Man is really going to be hurt by it. But yes, I think that is possible. I still said my prediction for Odyssey overall right now is around, I'm going to say
Starting point is 00:55:27 850 is my, that's my number today. It's been changing back and work, but I'm going to say 850 right now is, is my overall. What did you see worldwide? You thought it was going to hit, Chris? Wait, 850, 850? Is that what you're saying? Yeah. Total forever?
Starting point is 00:55:39 That's their, that's going to be. Oh, okay. Sorry, I thought you were talking about this weekend. I was like, no, no, no. I mean, if it makes 850 this weekend, we're going to be. I had said, I thought it was going to do 200 overall, like, domestic globally this weekend. This weekend. I think 850 is a good number.
Starting point is 00:55:54 I feel like that's accurate. Around that 800 mark. I don't see it getting to a billion just because of the placement of it. And again, the length. It could change. And I still haven't seen it. Maybe again, when I go see it tomorrow, I might be like, this is making all the money. Everyone shut up.
Starting point is 00:56:10 This is the best thing I've ever seen. Who's to say? Right. Week two will change my opinion on my 850. Yeah. And I still could be wrong because my week two on Michael was like, it was like, I don't know if it's going to do the billy, and then it hits in Japan,
Starting point is 00:56:24 and then that's all she wrote. Oh, yeah. Because I initially said that Michael would break a billion. So this is going to be the, this is going to be the biopic that does it. And then after a week, and I don't know, but that one had continuous legs.
Starting point is 00:56:35 And I did what I told everyone else not to do. Don't count out that audience, because they'll see it a thousand times over. I don't know if this is the case with this movie, with Odyssey. I think that it just depends on if people are going to want to see it again in the theater. I certainly want to see it again. Like last night, I didn't take, so I had, I did my interview that I talked about on Monday,
Starting point is 00:56:54 and then right into that, I went to the theater. So for two reasons. One, didn't take my 14-year-old because definitely the subject matter was talking about with our guests would not have been appropriate to take her with. And then going into, and I also had already told, I actually bribed my cousin because he and his fiance are going to watch my little one. when I take my wife to go see Chicago. So I bribed him with the Odyssey ticket,
Starting point is 00:57:25 which I wouldn't have to done anyway, but I, but I did. And so we, why don't I even get into this story? What were talking about? I don't even get there. Box office. Box office? And then.
Starting point is 00:57:39 I don't know I got there. No clue. But either way, the reason we got there is because I, you know, oh, my daughter, that's what I'm going to say. So I had said, so yesterday, because I initially told my daughter really wants to see Odyssey. This is the reason why I still think it's going to do well because even my 14-year-old, who I just mentioned before doesn't give a shit about Spider-Man, doesn't care about Supergirl, doesn't care about any of this stuff.
Starting point is 00:58:08 She wanted to see Odyssey. She really wants to see Odyssey. And so she told, like, she's like, you know, when you see that, I want to see it. And I just couldn't take her to the screening. So I didn't say anything. I was like, you know, I'm just going to take her to the regular. movies when i got a chance and last night matt's like so i was uh i was odyssey she looks me she goes you saw odyssey i was like yeah yeah but i couldn't couldn't take it she's like i told
Starting point is 00:58:30 you i wanted to see odyssey i'm like i'll take it's he on um so i'm going to take her to see odds so yeah um anyway let's it's so funny this is a hundred percent you christin turning into lernard shelving from a mental one thousand percent that has happened many times over right i told you told you like not even i don't my my brother told me i don't know some but a couple weeks ago he was like hey remember this story he was telling me this i guess when i um i i went to we went to his rodeo and whatever and i was i have no memory of that he's like did we used to laugh about that all time i said i don't know what that story is and he's like he's like dad's going to be upset you
Starting point is 00:59:09 don't remember that story i i don't remember shit anymore so anyway um let's get into some more questions here because that's where we're at. All right, Go Pal, the man catching the replay today. Let's support. Thank you, Go Pal. Bobby, once our show gets picked up, I love the people are calling that. Please continue to say it.
Starting point is 00:59:31 Please. I have really on yesterday's show, Chris, we mentioned about, and you know what? This is something I should do on every show. And make sure you do this in the comments. For people who are watching now, and people who are watching on the replay, I said this yesterday. I'm saying it again. And then I want to get to Bobby. comment. As I mentioned, I need around 13,000 people to put in 25 bucks to make this show. I think it's a reasonable goal. We have almost 230,000 subscribers. I think we can make it happen.
Starting point is 00:59:56 Now, if you are already saying, you know what, I'm in. I'm going to help you guys. I want to make our show. We're going to do it. What do you want to see from those tiers that make you say, okay, not only will I donate, you know what, I'll donate a little more, is if this is going to be included. And for the people who are not on board yet, going, I don't know, not sure, what would be included in there to make you go, okay, maybe. Let me think. I need that focus group. I need that from you guys. So if you can, please put that in the comments section. Or if you're here and you're about to ask a question or something in the super chat aspect, throw that in there and I'll answer it here. But that would be helpful. All right, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:00:41 Let us know how the other hosts here can help out. with those tier two tears as well, you guys. Sorry. I was texting Winston and was like, sorry.
Starting point is 01:00:50 Because yeah, I'll do a voicemail for somebody in a stupid voice. I'll do whatever to help with this. It's a great idea. It's a really great idea. Once our show gets picked up, do you think you'll have an episode
Starting point is 01:00:59 with Heidi and Frank in it? Their LA talk show radio host a Christian used to be on for those. I mean, they helped, they helped tremendously. Yeah, I was on there.
Starting point is 01:01:07 Do you listen to Heidi and Frank? No. I don't know that you did radio. Yeah, I was on with them. I was on with them. weekly for years. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:01:16 Do movie stuff with them too. So how do we initially get started with them? I can't even remember. I think that we got involved with them on, on Toad Hop, which is where we started. I just don't know how we initially, whatever it was, they really liked our movie show that we did on their network. And so then they had us come in and Mark and I would go in weekly to be on their show to talk movies.
Starting point is 01:01:37 And then Mark moved towards the valley and they were closer to me. so I would go in every week for like, you know, two years. And then they moved to the Valley. So then Mark, I think Mark still does it. I mean, Mark still on weekly with them. But yeah, I mean, there isn't, the answer is that, Bobby, is that if the show, when the show gets picked up for a full season to see. Yeah, I'm going to use as many of those things because the character and characters could
Starting point is 01:02:06 absolutely be interviewed by them. And I think I can already, even when you saying that, I could see Frank and Heidi. interviewing both of them and kind of trying to what is it, poke the bear a little bit. Frank's great at that. Ron H. And who could forget the running scene with the people of Philly? Damn it, Rocky is inspiration on us all.
Starting point is 01:02:26 We can all be like Rocky. Did you, that was, PLD, was there a question that I'm, oh, no, no, no, no, you know what? I see it. These are out of sync. Ron H. After the I play Rocky trailer, I felt the need to go right to Rocky, too. The training montage after Adrian tells him to win,
Starting point is 01:02:41 fucking badass. I have no idea of the honest. Let's stick with that one. Did you see that trailer yesterday, Chris? No. It's awesome. It's so good. And especially speaking about this pilot right now, I'm so, I was already inspired.
Starting point is 01:02:58 I'm so much more inspired after this trailer. Do you know the story of the making of Rocky? I know Stallone like pitched it to everyone, but I don't know very much about it. Watch the trailer. It won't do it. There's no reason for me to do justice to telling you the story now that I don't have to because this guy could have easily fallen into an impression of Stallone and he doesn't. It is, I was humming the freaking Rocky theme song on myself.
Starting point is 01:03:25 I watched the game. I watched, I watched a trailer like five times now since I, since it's come out. It's, it's incredible. Okay. I'll have to check it out. Awesome.
Starting point is 01:03:34 And Rocky. We did that already. Okay. Ron H. I have no idea if I will love Odyssey more than Dune. After all, Dune had more space and more. worms and who could forget the sand. It's true. You got to see. I think Chris will like the Odyssey better than June. I'm so sure I will like it more. Ron, what's up? Odyssey IMAX today,
Starting point is 01:03:51 14. And I'm talking in pause words because it the Odyssey beaches, L-O-L-O-L. Ron, I'm sure, and I don't really have to tell you this. But tomorrow, look forward to hearing your thoughts on what you thought about. I'm excited. Sammy, hey, curious if you heard of a musical called Epic that's based on the Odyssey. It's gained millions of use of the years on YouTube is now getting into an animated movie produced by Jerry Brockhammer's team. I haven't. Have you heard about this? Yes, I have heard about this. I haven't gotten to listen to a lot of it, though. I've just, because I'm an insufferable theater kid. Sorry. My Spotify every now and then is like, here's a musical that you haven't heard. And so I heard a couple tracks. And it sounds really
Starting point is 01:04:27 interesting. I really like what I've listened to so far. It's beautiful. Yeah, I don't know anything about it, but I'm glad thank you for telling me. Ron H. If Sly Stallone was an Odyssey, I think you'd be tracking high instead of the little numbers. It's not tracking low. And it currently is. It's not Low, not tracking low. Who knows, Odyssey might still be good outside. We'll see. Everybody get to the horse. See, that's the problem of I was playing rock.
Starting point is 01:04:48 It was a really bad impression. DJ. There he is. 10 memberships. That's huge. DJ gave half the ton of memberships he gave yesterday. It was amazing. That's awesome.
Starting point is 01:05:00 Yeah. Ron H. Derek needs to get off the Coke. He says Ron H. He's dropping member sheeps, like dropping dumbass co-so-called friends who aren't really friends. Ha, ha, ha. Fair enough. i don't know i think DJ i think DJ's all right DJs are he's he's he's half the
Starting point is 01:05:14 member we have a lot of great look a lot of stuff coming up for members today if it's not is it up already PLD the no after the show after the show okay so after the show we have the non-edited um reaction of empire strikes back with Sam having no idea what was going on um so yeah it's amazing so i would go and check that out for sure um as i mentioned now next Wednesday, my in-person interview with Penny Barber will be up and the, she interviewed me for five minutes. That's exclusive to patients. So that will be up there. We have a live stream next Friday. So is anybody here tomorrow? Anybody, any fans watching right now with your live stream or anybody going to the Yankee game tomorrow? If so, I might see you there.
Starting point is 01:06:01 Zika and Yumenoglu. Christian, as you don't like breaking your glasses. Have you considered not putting your glasses on and off? Maybe that's why they keep breaking. The, the Reading glasses, though, is the problem, you know? And just like, I don't know, just walking around with them all the time. And I don't know. It's like sometimes they, and they get the reflection in the thing. It's the answer is I probably should wear them more, but I still, I don't know. It annoys me.
Starting point is 01:06:24 Nathan Drake, regarding today's match, Bob Yucer. Oh, nice one. So you know what? I didn't, I didn't ask Luke to do that. I should do it myself. I should, that's good to be able to promote. Thank you very much for that. The picture for today's match.
Starting point is 01:06:38 and maybe just in the future, Luke, when we do these, let's just put each, each modem match that we're doing. Let's just put it in for it today so I can promote it. It's up here. Give me a second. Where is it? Hold on. Holy moly.
Starting point is 01:06:54 I got it somewhere. There it is. Okay. So the finals for the season two was myself and Mark Ellis versus box office breakdown, the Cinderella team of the tournament. And that's Finstock and JTE. But because of our scheduling and everything else, too, we couldn't put the match up in season two.
Starting point is 01:07:16 So we finally aired it in season three. And it's the match that's on Shmodeon Vault. There it is. It is the Schmo's versus Box Office Breakdown. Teams title match, the first team's title match ever between the four of us. So you should go and check that out. I've done, I did three promos in my career in the Shemodon as the Rock. and that one I think is my favorite one that I did.
Starting point is 01:07:41 So, okay, that's up on the channel now. Okay, next one, Ron H. People who can't take losses are losers. Let's see. I'm very curious to see that when the movie, when the movie does as well as I believe that it will, I want to see if people are like, you know what? It did really well.
Starting point is 01:07:58 This one, people went and saw it. We were wrong. Or they're going to just double down. I would assume the latter. Josh George Gonzalez, it's June versus Odyssey this year, two Titans who wins box office wise Odyssey Odyssey wins box office wise but um
Starting point is 01:08:11 what's what I like better that I don't know for Chris I know yeah yeah 100% well and even even going into this as somebody who's not a Dune fan like Campia loves this shit he loves Dune so much he's like I don't know about this third one I he like hates that book so even even the Dune fans I'm like I know I know but the thing is I wasn't a Dune person. So I am more of a Deney Dune fan than I am the actual book fan. So if he finds a way to spin it to where I can find it interesting, because like I said in those trailers, it looks like the perfect kind of turn. I want to see how they're going to do it. So we'll see. All right. Smog. Digger looks great.
Starting point is 01:08:58 However, is it fair to say it may share a similar fate to another recent big budget film from an acclaimed directory in one battle in terms of box office, grossing around 200 million. both budgets around 100 million well no one battle I think the budget was close to really 160 right I think so sure I think so one battle after another budget um 175 yeah yeah that that that was that was much bigger so I think if if digger is let's see um 125 which is lower but Tom cruise might bring some weight to it I think that has a better shot of being more profitable than one battle. And I think that this movie has a, I don't know, I think this is, I think they're aiming more towards the best actor side of it for Tom Cruise than they are looking for best picture. I don't know how you feel that makes sense.
Starting point is 01:09:56 All the marketing too has been, I mean, there was a teaser trailer that was just Tom Cruise's filmography followed by Digger trailer dropping soon. So I definitely think that they're using it as a launching point. for him and that's the focus. Yep. Um, all right, let's say next one. Oh, man. Um, okay. Next one. Digger. Dara d'r d'rador of the $200 million. Okay. Next one. Cooley. saw man. Had the book. Do you get some, you get some sales yesterday? I hope so. Or check out his book. What up, fam? Thank you, Christian, for supporting me yesterday. Chris,
Starting point is 01:10:32 you're awesome too. Thank you for the last. Make sure you guys support his Kickstarter. I will be doing so. You all be easy. Thank you, Cooley. Yeah, I'm telling you, like I said, I'm thinking we're going to, I might even start on the day, what, what, Chris, do you know or Peelty, tell me what, what day is September 2nd? What day is that? Is that a Monday? I'm not sure what day. That is a Wednesday, my dude. All right. So that'll probably be with Kevin Smets is when we launch it, right? I might even start that morning at like nine in the morning, my time. Growing businesses deal with the same problem. Too many tools, too much back and forth, and not. enough time. O-DU helps bring it all together. It's an all-in-one business management platform, fully integrated from sales and accounting to inventory and marketing, so your team can spend less time chasing information and focus on growth. Whether you're in retail, manufacturing, or service, O-D-U gives you one place to manage your business. Visit O-D-O-com to book a demo. It's O-D-O-O-O-O-O-O-com.
Starting point is 01:11:32 And like just beyond for as long as I can be. that day when we launch to talk about everything i might even put an uh an invite to all of you guys chris like to if you want to join in at any time come in and talk and we just you know see if we can hit whatever we can hit and i'll probably start launching because at that point too i think we're going to be in to the justice league um reactions at that point when we get there zach Snyders were going to be doing so I'll probably have like a little thing that Sam and I do and try to talk because the reaction audience is different than the live audience the live audience is different than you know like the short audience so like I'm just going to have to go and talk to everybody who's on
Starting point is 01:12:18 this channel to let them know what we're really trying to do so uh right how did you guys feel about russle crow speaking in a modern Greek accent and Thor love and thunder I thought that was a little bit jarring that's also because I can recognize British accents not modern Greek that whole movie was jarring. Also, did he? Did he? Right. Listening to it, I was just like, this is not great. And again, my husband is a dialogue coach. He was just like, oh, we're making some choices, huh? Interesting. That whole movie was, no. Yeah, I don't like that movie either, though. Ron H. Plenty of films with Whiz Bang Boone. Go watch that. If you want that, Odyssey's cinema, ha, go to the bathroom
Starting point is 01:12:58 first because this film is long, like, Ty Johnson. Not short. like mine. Oh, come on, Ron. Come on. Come on. Smog. Carloff. Nice. Chris. Love the mug. Christian. Side camera view looking clean. Have a great Thursday, all. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very little. Thank you. Zeke. You got to tell me how to do this. This is right. Is it Zekinu monoglu? I think that was the closest I got. Support. Thank you. All right. K-Dog Westmore. Convinced Odyssey, is bots. Don't see it. IRL. What's IRL again? In real life.
Starting point is 01:13:38 Thank you. Yeah, I mean, that's the, that is the question. You know, and it's one of the things that we tried to do the other day where we were talking about this. And someone in the comment said, this just sounds like PR. We're talking about the Odyssey. And I said, okay, listen to the person. I said, I'll tell you why don't you come in here right now? PLD will give you the stream. You come in here and let's have a debate and discussion. And they said, no, I don't want to do that. So I, I, I, You know, I would love to actually have a discussion with someone like that. Not a fight.
Starting point is 01:14:07 Fights aren't worth it. Discussion. Like, what is it that you really believe is before seeing the movie, the need to say this, this, this, this and this without seeing it? Like, that's my curiosity. Peter Ecclund. Today's my 41st birthday. Any advice for my 40s? Enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:14:27 Yeah. I'd say, enjoy it, Peter. That's it. Just enjoy it. And, you know, 41 years. young, my friend. Yeah, I'm excited about 40s. I'm two years out and I'm like pumped about them. I feel like my life's
Starting point is 01:14:38 going to be maybe an order. Maybe so. I think you could. Yours will be Peter. Yes. Geek Load Stars. On my way to grab some food before the honesty and IMAX, super excited for this movie. Tickets were hard to get, especially from some good seats
Starting point is 01:14:54 in the middle. That's a good name. That's promising. That's good sign. I'm so excited to hear like tomorrow's going to be a great show because I'm really excited to hear what a lot of the first wave audience members think about this movie. Really excited. Ron H. Odyssey had 14 fireworks to 920, so you should check out bids for them. Christian, they like you couldn't put the phone down, 20 minutes fireworks, each from a different country.
Starting point is 01:15:19 I talked about the other day where just there was this, it was on with you. Yeah, it was on with you. And we talked about the fireworks thing, which is like, yeah. Okay, let's say, next one, Nathan Drake. I do respect when Mel Gibson does stuff with apocalyptic. So he cast people from Central American, has them all speaking their original language. He was also at a spot in his career, though, where he could do that with directing. You know, and like people were, because he was the passion of the cry, he's brave heart.
Starting point is 01:15:48 That's hard to do. Yeah. And I will give him his flowers for that. And I understand, I do understand when people are like, why aren't we having, you know, Greek actors speaking Greek in the Odyssey. see, I can completely understand that as a, I would like a historically accurate telling of this Greek fable that is loosely based around Grecian history. But yeah, it's kind of, again, an apples and oranges thing. I think a lot of times you can't have creative control and change some stuff up.
Starting point is 01:16:18 I say that as somebody who has had a little bit of a chip on their shoulder about modern dialogue around this movie. But I can absolutely appreciate that aspect of Mel Gibson's filmography, of making sure that he is using language and casting in an accurate way. There you go. All right. Atray you in our text. Hey, Chris, how do you feel about voice actors like Phil Harris or Thurl Ravencroft? You're all my genes team on Thursday. Thank you, Atreya. That's so nice. I mean, okay, Phil Harris. So this is back when we were looking at when Disney
Starting point is 01:16:46 had like stable actors for, for voiceover. And so he was in the Aristocats. He was Blue the Bear. Incredible, wonderful voice. I loved how he spoke. I loved how he delivered things. And you always knew it was Phil. You're like, that's who he is. Thorel Ravencroft. That's going to be Tony the Tiger. That's going to be I think the voice in Haunted Mansion and then the song Your Mean One, Mr. Grinch.
Starting point is 01:17:09 Which beautiful, ridiculous baritone. I've had some friends audition for sound alike work to do stuff that he did In the past. Didn't Boris Karloff sing that originally? I think so. Or was Karloff the narrator? I thought Karloff sang it.
Starting point is 01:17:24 I could be wrong. Let me see. I have been before. Who sang the original your I mean, Mr. Grinch. You're right. 100%.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Okay, cool. But like, yeah, incredible voice actors. And those two guys just also had very unique voices. But they're really great reminders, too, that your natural speaking voice is enough. A huge thing, if I can just go on a quick voiceover diatribe, is so many people think it's about putting on a funny voice or an interesting voice.
Starting point is 01:17:54 It's about great acting. And those two dudes already had cool texture deep or whatever voices, but they also always delivered the goods. So if you're interested in voice acting, they are two great archetypes for they were great actors who knew how to utilize their strengths naturally and be of service to a story. Well, there you go. Andy Miller, Odyssey is the first horror slasher story. There's definitely, I'm telling you, there's some horror aspects in this for sure.
Starting point is 01:18:19 I mean, from the actual tale. Yeah, I can see it going that route. 100%. There's some creepy shit in that movie. Jason 1020, do you guys know how box office is? accounts for ticks acquired through A-List. I'm an A-List AMC member and I'm seeing Odyssey on Saturday and Monday. I don't know that. That's the aspect of the side of the things where, you know, when I always say, this is my show, as you said before, there are a lot of shows that you're going to see someone
Starting point is 01:18:43 pick up an article and they're going to read the article whole way through and then they're going to break it down. This asshole you're looking right now will stop mid-thing and say, I'm bored with this. I don't want to do this anymore. That's the kind of show. This is also the kind of show, meaning that I don't have that kind of knowledge to because I didn't look into it. You can't be probably knows. I'll tell you that. I'm sure he's got a whole video on it. I'm sure he does.
Starting point is 01:19:03 100%. So should definitely ask him if you watch his show. You should check. He definitely knows. But I don't know enough about it on the A list side of things. I'm on an A list member. I just don't pay attention. Friendly neighborhood.
Starting point is 01:19:17 Chris, any recommendations from recent comics that you have picked up? I am so behind you guys. I really need to get back to picking stuff up. because I also tend to wait till things are in like omnibus form as opposed to doing the weeklies anymore. Just because I don't have the time to go grab them. But I will say if you haven't read the absolute series already, like start getting into those, I really want to go pick up the green arrow one. I'm interested in sleep. I know I think that came out last year and it's a horror thing.
Starting point is 01:19:46 But I keep hearing good things about that. So I want to check that out. But if you're looking for stuff that is also being adapted recently and is a little weird and silly and, you know, a little perverted, sex criminals. That is being adapted by Amazon. And it's a really weird, interesting comic. So maybe that's one to go check out. DJ, Streamline Universe.
Starting point is 01:20:07 I agree so much with Chris Carr on this. There you go. Thanks, Eric. Johnny Patrice. Chris, did you finish which hat? What is this? Altier. It's an anime that is beautiful.
Starting point is 01:20:19 No, I actually restarted it because my husband started watching it. So now it's a show that I'm locked in. with him and I need to just be like, whatever, I'm going to finish your my own. So no, I haven't. But gosh, I'm excited too. It's so pretty. Mike Joyce. Can PLD make his circle look like the Brady Bruns Square?
Starting point is 01:20:37 I don't think so. I think it's just the way that, that streamier does it, right? I can give it a shot. Oh, thank you very much. All right. Look at that. He said he can give it a shot. Derek Johnson.
Starting point is 01:20:49 Chris, have you ever seen Kill Boxoon on Netflix? No. Is that an anime? Is that a Korean show? What are we talking about here? Derek? What am I saying? I can Google it.
Starting point is 01:21:04 That's not bad. I prefer the circle myself. I prefer the circle. Circles better. Yeah. Smok. Chris, you got a bit of an Allison Brie look today. What was it like working with John Ham on Mad Men?
Starting point is 01:21:16 If they were casting voice of Navi for Zelda movie, would you heed the call? Absolutely, I would. 100%. I would love to be that. little annoying fairy. Hey, listen. It'd be great. Charlie Tobin,
Starting point is 01:21:30 the hate directed to The Odyssey is horrible. As a theater lover, I saw Papa Asseudo as Hamlet, Glenda Jackson playing King Lear, and no one complained. It's true. The thing that drives me nuts is I, like sometimes, look,
Starting point is 01:21:43 sometimes, and I've said this before, and I'll stand by it. Sometimes politics does, and people casting, because they don't want to get yelled at on Twitter, it happens. It absolutely happens. And they go, oh, we need to cast it. And they're not, and people sometimes do get cast in the wrong role because the studio feels like, oh, well, in order to appease that group, we have to put that in there. That happens. There's no doubt about it. And sometimes it hurts the movie. This is not the case with this movie. And this is not the case. This is not the story. This is not the story. general the story if if the biggest promise if you have a problem well Matt Damon's not Greek
Starting point is 01:22:28 neither was Brad Pitt but okay if that's the case I don't like his accent okay then you're probably going to be bothered for the movie because he's in 85% of the film is his is Matt Damon 85 so like if you're probably going to be with him then you may have a problem with the movie but the other people casting it they're supporting and it and it's not it's It's not a storyline. It drives me, it is, this drives me nuts for this, because you haven't seen the movie. Anyway, but Trey, R-Tac, since they're doing an animated Thundercats movie, what do you, who do you guys think?
Starting point is 01:23:07 There's a Chris Carr question. Who do you guys think should voice Lionel and why is Alan Tudek the only right answer for Snarf? He's absolutely the perfect answer for Snarf. Sure. Alan, Alan Tudick could do everyone in the movie. He could voice every character. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:23:20 He'd be perfect. Shnard. Shnif. Oh, he'd be incredible. Liono, though. You need somebody who's able to, because Liono is such a weird character. He's still a child, but in a grown-up body. So you need somebody who can have like joyful exuberance, but also still be a leader who's coming into their own.
Starting point is 01:23:38 Hurry up, Gnarf. He was always, he was always very, but was very direct. But those first few episodes, it's him being like, why am I grown up? Didn't he, yeah, didn't he age? But he wasn't, it wasn't that he was, because he wasn't a young kid in a grown body though, wasn't, didn't he just age? Didn't he like, he aged rapidly? He aged rapidly, I thought, right? Isn't that what happened? I'm not sure. You could be right, but I thought he just aged. My impression was always like, that's still a child.
Starting point is 01:24:05 Because the kids, the other kids stayed young and he, but you know, people, people will know in the, in the, uh, in the chat. Um, okay. Tyler Ruby. Chris and Smets are my two favorites. So last week was special when they were together. Always now look for Wednesdays and Thursday. Christian, you're cool too. That's fair. Thank you. And they're great. Okay. Let's say. Oh, his stasis pod malfunctioned, which caused him to go from 12 to 24. Right. But his mind remained that of a child. Oh, it did. Okay. So we're both, we're both, we're both right, but you were. Yeah. Yeah. So he's like he's still 24, but it's like when someone's been in a coma for years.
Starting point is 01:24:43 Right. Or he's like most 24 year old. That's true. That's very true. That's true. A tray, and our. text since I were doing that already. Tyler, Ruby, Kristen, Spelow, he did that one too. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Jason, it's so unfortunate what's happening with this DC universe and my interest in it. The more time goes by, the less I like Guns Superman.
Starting point is 01:25:04 I'm sorry, Chris. Hey, that's okay. I know that. Listen, not every thing is for everyone. And if you are starting to find that you dislike this movie over time, no worries. I've gone back and rewatch stuff and gone, oh, I think I was in a different place when I saw this. So no worries at all.
Starting point is 01:25:20 Johnny Patricea Walker Scobble rumored for How do you pronounce it? Because I say it wrong. Nardo? I might be saying it wrong too though Because I get corrected a lot. No dear God, no.
Starting point is 01:25:31 I don't know. Naruto? I don't know. I never watched the series. Nerudo, okay. That's what I was saying. I was going to say. The chat will correct me.
Starting point is 01:25:40 That's an anime though I never got into. I just know about the running, the weapons arms. Betray and our attacks. I heard that there is dog abuse in me, obviously. Vaguely, can you explain? I'm very sensitive to this and it turned me away from the movie. That is fair. My wife always calls me
Starting point is 01:26:02 when I'm on the air. She never knows when I'm on the air. So I just let it, let it go. Let it go. Let it go. I'm on the air now. Every time. Every time. Anyway. So yes, there is
Starting point is 01:26:23 a couple of moments relevant to the story, relevant to something that is going on. I don't want to spoil the details. There are a few moments and they're not easy to watch but it's not like, well, why do they need to do that?
Starting point is 01:26:40 It adds to a certain aspect of villainy. It adds to a certain aspect of camaraderie and emotion and it puts it it's relevant.
Starting point is 01:26:56 it doesn't it makes sense why it's in there but it's not enough to where it's like oh my it's you're watching and stop stop stop stop stop it's not one of those it's just like oh man I wish you wouldn't have done that like the character but but just be prepared for it it because it isn't especially Chris you know so yeah Charlie Tovin what about Owen Cooper for the new flash I don't know Owen Cooper
Starting point is 01:27:21 Owen Cooper the oh is that the kid from adolescence I never watched that show, but he, but he was nominated for everything. I also have to hear him be American. He's an incredible actor. He's wonderful. He was one of the only things I liked in Wuthering Heights.
Starting point is 01:27:41 Most of those Waltrain. Is he British? Yeah. Most of those Waltren, British call could do English accents. That's very, very true. But he's got one of those thicker, kind of almost northern a bit in there. But I mean, if Sean Bean can do one, you know, yeah. And he's so young and so talented.
Starting point is 01:28:00 sure he'd be able to do it. But also how old is he now? I don't know. I mean, he's got he's 16. Yeah. So they made by the time they make that movie maybe. Yeah. Mr. I crap and shits with all these X-Men casting rumors, what's the chances that there's a big X-Men announcement of San Diego Comic-Con cast reveal? Marvel said they're going to be there. MCU is going to be there where DC really isn't. And I mean, well, I do a lanterns. No, HBO Max is doing Lannards. D. D.C. is not doing it because it's my favorite, this aged poorly. Nope, it's perfectly fine. They didn't cover it.
Starting point is 01:28:33 They're not, D.C.'s not doing a panel. But this is, Marvel is doing a panel. By the time they do this panel, no, Spider-Man will not have been out yet. So I don't know if they're going to do a big announcement because unless they're going to officially announce
Starting point is 01:28:51 Sadie Singh as Gene Gray there, I think they'll probably wait until after the movie. I don't know, what do you think, Chris? I would think so. but also Marvel has been doing this and so many other movies have been doing this too right before a release going and guess what else and giving us
Starting point is 01:29:06 the reveal before we go into theaters. I'm hoping that's not the case here. I think it'd be really foolish to do that. So I hope that they wait to make any announcements until after this movie. When we talked about this before too, is Comic-Con really the place to make your announcements anymore? Is Hall H specifically the place to make your announcements anymore?
Starting point is 01:29:25 You know where they're doing it? Well, so here's, here's an I'll tell you right now, and I'm going to talk to you about this off air. There is another place that they might do it. Let me see. And I'll tell you right now. It is, yeah, the other place that they might do it is D23.
Starting point is 01:29:46 Yeah. Because D23 is in August, and it's mid-August, and it is after Spider-Man, when Gene Gray will already have been out to the world. So that's a possibility. but maybe not. I don't know. Derek, Jody,
Starting point is 01:30:02 Turner Smith is literally the only choice hands down for Storm. You watch her in Bad Monkey. She's perfect. She's perfect. She's perfect. She's so good and Bad Monkey. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:30:09 Yeah. And if they are going for that age difference between some of the X-Men and, you know, like Storm and Wolverine, she'd be great. All right. So let's see.
Starting point is 01:30:21 Mike Joyce, I'm excited for the Odyssey, but I got to wait until Sunday to see it in 70-millimeter. Is 70-millimeter worth, the hype. At least I'm going, also getting the Dune preview. Yeah, it is. And the way that he shoots it is, is really good. But I mean, I saw it in IMAX, but I'm saying in general. All right, let's see, Ray, Ray, who? I love that when asked if Danny knew anything about the franchise, he said he had a story about Zartan and the dreadnought's ready to go and the exec said who. That's horrible. That's horrible.
Starting point is 01:30:53 That's horrible that the, that the, that, I mean, good that he knows it. Yeah. Terrible that, I mean, look I remember like I and I've talked to this before before I started working for Joel silver I went into interview with Lorenzo Di Bonaventura which was making that thing Lorenzo was a great guy really nice guy and not very nice to me when I walked in here he walked up he didn't very different than say like Joel or Joel if you were if you were not at a certain level Joel didn't talk to you Lorenzo I was sitting in the I was sitting in the in the waiting room for the interview Lorenzo comes in and he makes a Sharp right says, hello, I'm Lorenzo. How are you?
Starting point is 01:31:32 I'm like, oh, my gosh, I'm just about to do it on tour. I started talking to them. I didn't get the gay, but it was nice, and I like them. I don't like the choices that they have made, all the properties that they've had and worked on. I don't like the versions that they've done, because I don't think they've had the right takes on them. This sounds, this sounds good to me, so maybe they need somebody like a Danny McBride to push it forward. Let's see. Curtis Lopez. Christian, keep doing the machete you are with Sam.
Starting point is 01:31:56 the layer reveal in Revenge of the Sith would be mind-blowing for her. I'd love to see her reaction. You know, someone said that it might have been you yesterday too, Chris, that might be interesting because my concern, Chris, was that if I'm doing it, because I'm going now, we're watching Phantom Menace clones into Sith and then Jedi. And my concern was that you lose the reveal in Jedi, but the reveal of the two babies
Starting point is 01:32:22 and then them saying, Luke, and then Leah, and her going, what might be just as good as the return of the Jedi one. Oh. It's kind of a throwaway in Jedi up top. A little bit. But man, I don't know. That's tricky.
Starting point is 01:32:47 Yeah. I don't know. I'm very excited to see her lose her mind over, you know. Yeah, yeah. That happens. I'm so excited to watch the Empire one. Yeah. Thank you, Curtis.
Starting point is 01:32:58 Von H. Danny McBride needs to put Sergeant Slaughter in the film. I don't know if Slaughter will be, maybe they're a cameo he should if he can. But I mean, Sergeant Slaughter's got to be up there now, man. Friendly neighborhood, Kinnuck. If you go serious, but over the top, you start with Mastervice Saga, then work into Serpentor for the third movie. This in command. Yeah, I mean, if you can do it that way, I'm with you. A hundred percent is a good, good way to go. Curtis, I'm team Jamie Lawson for Storm. She was Perline and Sinners and the mayor and the Batman. Yeah, yeah. She's good, too. Yeah, she's a good choice. Yeah, I like her too. Fearless Weaver, excited to take my own Odyssey, a five-hour drive, holy moly, to see the Odyssey in 70-millimeter IMAX in Atlanta on Saturday. Damn, that is commitment. I hope it, you'd better be worth it for you.
Starting point is 01:33:45 Yeah. Yeah. Friendly neighborhood Canuck. I need a mass movie as well by Michael Bay. No, thank you. Not Michael Bay. on a mass TV show by somebody else. Israel Zerg, I experienced so much joy watching a new hope reaction.
Starting point is 01:34:02 You killed me with the fleetled needle on House of the Dragon episode four. The ones in the indoor are great also. Keep them coming. Yeah, people, it's funny because I'm getting more and more people on board. There's either the pro fleetle dodle or there's the anti-fleetle d'el. And the pros always went out because the antis make more fleetingle-dil. I was going to say, you just double down. Have people not known?
Starting point is 01:34:23 Have they not learned? No, and I was upset because in A New Hope, I don't think I did it, Israel. And I definitely did it for Empire. And I said, but I did it for the Fox fanfare. Dun, dun, dun, da, flea-de-de-le-le-le-le-le-de-de-de-dee. I-le-le-le-le-le-a-dee. I love it. I, let's be-chrele-a-le-a-d-l-a-a-a-ha.
Starting point is 01:34:50 Thank you. Ron H. A tear gets you a sign-pix of Christian with no pants. Well, the first part of it probably, okay. I don't know what the second part. Comic lover update. My girl's six years going strong. Her mom is adjusting from prison. Doing my best, keeping out of trouble, no
Starting point is 01:35:05 drinking, reading more, and working out. I'm happy for you, Ronnie. Then Drake. Jamie Lawson has to be stormed. It's a good cast. That's a good pick. Yeah. Oh, Christian, is it too late to react to the episode you haven't seen a Mexican? I, you know, I reacted
Starting point is 01:35:21 to the first two, Bobby, and I didn't release them. I don't want to take the, I'm going to watch all the episodes. But I'm not, I don't want to take the risk on, um, reacting to him, paying the editors and then it's just flopping. I'm just going to watch it and probably talk about it on the show. It makes more sense to me that way. Jason, another reason I think Odyssey will crush is because it's a long time since we have a great epic sports in the sandals movie.
Starting point is 01:35:42 Gladiator two trash. I didn't do you hated gladiator too, right? Oh, you didn't see it. I still haven't seen any of the gladiators. Because that was when we were going to do as a reaction to. Yes. I am, I am a, I guess more in the rare. I didn't hate gladiator two.
Starting point is 01:35:56 It's not an even close to the first. one but it's I didn't hate to I actually liked to but yeah it didn't it's it's it's it's one of those forgettable movies for sure uh at it Mahmood thoughts on Daniel Destin Craig directing Naruto he's a great director and I still need to watch his anime yep exactly um so Jason trailer for Paul greengrass the Uprising starring Andrew Garfield dropped and it looks sick well that's two people I really like I like greengrass and I like Andrew Garfield so count me on board Yeah. Andrew Sanchez, we watched Days of Future Past yesterday and talked about a perfect casting.
Starting point is 01:36:35 Patrick Stewart talking to McAvoy is so good. I trust Marvel, but Fox nailed it. Yeah. They really do. Well, listen, Feige was part of those initial X-Men movies, wasn't he? I'm pretty sure he was like a now. He was, he worked on, he worked on them. He wasn't. He wasn't Kevin Thuggey. No, he wasn't at like a higher tier where he maybe even had input on it. I don't know. Maybe he did, maybe he was he was he was involved he definitely was involved um so peel he says slaughter is 77 um in wrestlers years that's 136 that's that's the one that's the one thing um i had an opportunity to meet sergeant slaughter a few times at um i want to tell you that i holy shit yeah i think he was there
Starting point is 01:37:22 when i was there when i was there and he was nice to me but that's not that's actually not where I even thought that I actually met him. Now that I'd go back in my memory, I met him when I was working there, but it was in passing and, you know, a couple of conversations. But I met him, again, through Roddy Piper. And because they were boys. They were real tight. And he used to go to the comedy store too.
Starting point is 01:37:41 And he was, you know, they moved slowly, man. They got bodies beaten up. Yeah. Derek, Sam Reed from the Vampire. The Stat Show is the new Remy. Also loving the interview with the Vampire series. So amazing. Oh, that show is so good.
Starting point is 01:37:55 I need to catch up. I haven't watched any of the, the new stuff, but he's incredible and so charismatic. Oh my gosh. Yeah, I haven't seen the show. It's so good. His chemistry with the other fellow who was from Game of Thrones. They're so, so good together, blanking on names.
Starting point is 01:38:17 But man, and also he is a dude who totally, totally understands dialects. He is an Australian who's doing this part and God, he kills it. Like, oh, he's so good. All right. Next one, Blaine, you all need to check out Buddy Teaser. New low-budget horror film with Kristen Miliani. Well, I love her. Love her. Yeah, hope it follows suit with obsession and backrooms.
Starting point is 01:38:38 I mean, she's a good person to have on board for that. Yeah. She's incredible. Yeah, curated Z-56. Sam's seen the Mission Impossible movies. I think she's seen a bunch of them. I, you know, I'm not sure how many she's seen, but I'll ask her right now. I'll see.
Starting point is 01:38:56 Let me see. I'll double check. I mean, even if she has it, we wouldn't be able to get to those in a bit. How many Mission Impossibles have you seen? I'll ask her that. All right. But no, right, I mean, with her, Chris,
Starting point is 01:39:13 we got the Star Wars movies, which will probably wrap within July, August. Then we're going back to the DCU with Justice League, probably do Aquaman, maybe The Flash, I don't know. But then we're going to do X-Men movies. She's never seen any of the X-Men movies. So we're getting into all the X-Men.
Starting point is 01:39:34 We'll do Supergirl with that. We'll do Masters of the Universe as well. Then we're going to do all Harry Potter movies. She hasn't seen any Harry Potter movies. Whoa. Okay. The entire Harry Potter series, when that comes out, we'll do and finish up with the Hobbit.
Starting point is 01:39:48 So we're going to be busy until the end of the year with her. So you know what she's also never seen? I don't know if you've ever seen this either, but she's never seen Breaking Bad. I only watch some of it because it's content. Yeah, and it's a show where it's assholes being assholes to other assholes. And I live in LA. Yes, dude, that's not your tone.
Starting point is 01:40:10 John DX Dragon. Christian, how are you loving, 12 monkeys, and where do you rank it with the film? I love the show and it was on air, great cast. Terry Metall is a solid. It's my personal choice for a flash film. So he's great. And I really wish, and nothing against sci-fi, because they gave that place that gave that show and battlesar a place to breathe but i would have loved to have
Starting point is 01:40:30 seen what terry metals could have done with the 12 monkeys on like netflix or like amazon or apple right with a with a bigger budget and the same story um it was great i finished it i love it it's significantly different than the film minus the first season the first season is the closest in comparison that you get to the movie and then i mean there's a couple of somewhat references to the movie in the fourth season, but it's brief. But yeah, they go and they make it their own from seasons two through four. And I thought it wrapped up beautifully. I loved it.
Starting point is 01:41:07 I loved it. I'm actually, it reminds me I want to reach out to Terry Mantellis and try to get them on the air to talk about that. And then lead into maybe Wanda Vision. I'm not Wanda Vision, Vision Quest. Paco San Miguel 74. I wanted to drop this message today because I love Chris. Oh, thank you. I've been loving Sam's.
Starting point is 01:41:25 reaction to Star Wars, even though I've seen it a hundred of times, it's so enjoyable the way you've been doing it. Thank you. Yeah, I mean, that's the beauty. I mean, look, even Chris is going to check out the empire. Everyone was going to watch the out. I'm so excited. Yeah. So I'm so, what I'm, what I'm, I asked her at the end, I said, right now I have to ask you, how did you not know that he was the, the, his father? And she was like, I never cared to. I know the reference now. And now I understand, but I never listened to the conversations when they were talking about them. I didn't care. And I was like, I guess that's fair.
Starting point is 01:41:57 Can I say really quickly? It's my favorite reaction I've ever seen of yours. Oh, you watch the whole thing, right? I did. I do. When I do, then usually I skip through.
Starting point is 01:42:05 I watched the whole thing when I was doing this one. It was that good. It was that good, right? And so she, how about when, how great does, does the moment and the reaction live up to the hype?
Starting point is 01:42:17 Absolutely. 100%. I actually brought my kid in to watch it with me. That's how good it was. So good. So, so good. So I'll be up tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:42:25 Well, the unedited up today. The G-man, Christian, thanks for calling out the Odyssey trolls. Look, here's the thing, man, like I said, it's just a matter of, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, there's a lot of times when I do think that there's certain fights that I understand in a certain aspect, not hateful comments, not be like arguments and saying things when, when politics rears its head, I, I do get it. But when you haven't seen the movie and you're just doing. the go after everybody who does a positive review because your team said to do that you're fucking
Starting point is 01:43:03 boring you're boring and you know like you see the movie first and then see the movie and you come out and you go you know what i still feel this way and this way and this way and i don't agree with you and i think this i think that's fair but you didn't see the movie there don't know don't your name is. All right. Derek, for anyone wanting to know why I donate a lot to this channel is because Christian has a clear idea in this business he's starting and how he operates it. Win or lose, that type of confidence, clear leadership and vision always been investment. Oh, man. And damn, what a donation. What a donation in general. Derek, that's like, first of all, I'm telling you, I said this yesterday and I'm fully aware that I am not going
Starting point is 01:43:47 to be surprised, Chris, that when I'm, because we're going to offer it here for certain investors, on the Kickstarter that you can be on set. I feel like I'm going to be drinking coffee with Derek Johnson on set. Oh, yeah. I feel like 100% I think I'm going to meet him. But that's, dude, that is the nicest thing that anyone has said to me in quite a long time. And you are, you have been very supportive on this channel. A lot of you guys have.
Starting point is 01:44:14 And Derek, you've been here, you know, helping out different various members on this channel. You have been a huge supporter on this channel. You're honestly, and Derek, you know, you and. a lot of other people, but you in particular, you were one of my inspirations to even have confidence into running a Kickstarter. Because when I was talking to certain people, they were like, does your audience believe in you? Does your audience, when you're getting, you're getting like data on the stuff? And I was like, you know, when you go back to Schmo down and other things, and it's like, when it comes to because they're, I'm working with people who are brilliant. I'm also working people who are not
Starting point is 01:44:51 familiar with the YouTube space. And, you know, and so when I say, no, I have an audience that like, well, for a question, I can use this as an example, we'll put in a $50 super chat to essentially give me a compliment in the same way,
Starting point is 01:45:08 put it towards the show and understand, because Derek's a business fan too, he understands the money is going towards paying a co-host, paying an editor, paying my rent, paying for the studio, paying for this. He gets it. He knows where it's, and that's transparency is always the biggest thing in general, right?
Starting point is 01:45:25 Like, right, because the person out there right now who's on the fence about the Kickstarter, wants to know, well, where's the, like, $25 bucks going.
Starting point is 01:45:35 That has to be part of it. It's to be like, it's going to go here. It's going to go there. You're going to see it in casting. You're going to see it in editing. You're going to see it in the director. You're going to see it here.
Starting point is 01:45:43 You're going to see it. Then they go, oh, okay. Well, let me see it. So, thank you, Derek. Very kind. Samuel Champion. Hey guys, I think it depends on the context in which the MCU takes the X-Men. I would absolutely love Jody Turner Smith, the Storm.
Starting point is 01:45:57 If they want her to be older, but if they go younger, Jamie Lawson from Senors would be good. I think that seems to be the two main ones, right? Yeah, yeah. And that absolutely sums it up too there, Sam, is you have to figure out how old they want this entire cast to be. Are they all peers? Are any of them mentors that you nailed it? 100%. Luke just sent me the screenshot.
Starting point is 01:46:20 of Sam reacting to the Vader reveal. So I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to play that when they upload it. Vision War 536. Hey, Christian and Chris, I know some people don't like the new evil dead, but more funny moments than, but there are more funny moments in it than rise. Do you think Moana will get legs to make its money back? I'm hyped for the new resident evil. I'm also hyped for the new resident evil. I don't think Moana will get the legs I thought it would.
Starting point is 01:46:46 I hope I'm wrong again about that movie. because I'd like to see the Rock get a win, but I don't know if he's going to. And yeah, there were funny, there were funny moments in the Evil Dead in a different way. But I don't know, Chris, what do you think about all this? I mean, I'm, Evil Dead is not for me, this new version of it.
Starting point is 01:47:04 Because it is, it's too violent for me. Yeah. Yeah. And then the legs for Moana, I don't think it does a thing. No. When Logan, Pete's doesn't like a movie. It's really bad. Are you ready for happiness?
Starting point is 01:47:18 Yeah. Is that great? Perfect. Yes. It's so good. That should be the thumbnail, Chris. I mean, for sure. 100%.
Starting point is 01:47:36 I was going to say, I can only agree. I won't make it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It should be. Yeah. That should be the thumbnail. It's really, really good. It's really good.
Starting point is 01:47:44 It's pretty awesome. Okay. Let's see. She was like, what? I'm like, I couldn't believe that. I was like, how do you know? I know this. All right.
Starting point is 01:47:55 Next one. Oh, is this one? This is it. Oh, thank you. Wait. I thought, did I miss that from before? Where is that? Did I miss that from before?
Starting point is 01:48:04 I'm so confused. Oh, no, we did that one. We did that one. Yeah. Vincent Moore. And then we just did this. We just did that one. All right.
Starting point is 01:48:11 Thank you. Should just have PLD start running these. Ron H. Okay. So Cruz, Dodge, Contra, you by putting that big D in front of it, not placing it with it right. L.A. I'm at BBC, remember. Yes, I know. Mr. I crap and shit. The Odyssey H-8 is coming from
Starting point is 01:48:26 from Lex's monkeys. Odyssey H-8 is coming from hate. Oh, the Odyssey hate. Thank you. Oh, from the little Twitter monkeys. Yeah. Yeah, maybe, maybe. Ryan S. Canadian wildfire, smoke, and heat dome has made me nevertheless awful today. Here, too. The quality here is shit. So I'm sneaking out to see Odyssey in a packed IMAX at 2 p.m. hoping it's great. Ryan, come back and let us know what you think. Please, tomorrow. Have a good conversation, please. Comic lover. What the hell's going on? There we go. Stop it. Where did that come? Did I miss that one? You missed one. All right. Fine. You let me know that you're doing that. Comic lover. Chris is about to be the cutest 40 year old ever. There you go. Thank you. Two years out, but I'm excited. We did this one already,
Starting point is 01:49:13 right? The online hate for the Odyssey seems to be from people who wouldn't have seen it anyway. Yeah, it looks great and it really should be big, says Joseph Miller. I agree. Yeah. I agree. Okay. Why is it done? R. L. Jensen.
Starting point is 01:49:27 Question. When our show Kickstarter, who did that? When our show Kickstarter launches, it'll be near my birthday. Planning on donating. I'm concerned if people see large donations, others won't donate.
Starting point is 01:49:42 Thoughts? Love the Odyssey talk today. I mean, look, I'm going to tell you that I don't, I don't know that that's necessarily how it works. My goal is also to tell people, because I don't think that that's the case. I was looking at Chris Duckman's Kickstarter for reference as well, too, right?
Starting point is 01:49:57 And they had a lot of large donors up top. And they, and I'm still going to stay with, and that's why I'm going to, as I mentioned before, transparency and also let you guys know, as where I'm going to start and say, we need 13,000 people to do in 25 bucks. And then people are putting in donations and donations. And let's say there's a larger donation that goes in. And then on, look, ideally on Thursday, I say, hey, guys, guess what? I need 87 people to put in 25 bucks and we can make the show.
Starting point is 01:50:28 That would be great. So it's just a matter of, again, being up front with people, letting them know what you need. And I don't think that people are going to be, you know, not donate for it because if they want to support the cause, they're going to understand what I'm trying to do. And it's up to me to let everybody know what the goals are. So that's it. but thank you great question
Starting point is 01:50:53 Matt Force 7 Deni was mentioned to tackle the infamous adaptation of rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clark most likely after Bond but let's say he can't do the scheduling I feel like Nolan would be the best choice I don't think that no one's ever going to take a movie that somebody else was supposed to I think he's going to
Starting point is 01:51:13 come up and go and do his own thing unless it's something like a Bond or something like that yeah he doesn't strike me as a sloppy seconds no and and he usually comes up with like his own original kind of things outside of, you know, again, maybe adapting. I knew you wanted to do bond or something else too, but I think I'm always,
Starting point is 01:51:32 it's one of the parts of the fun thing about Nolan's. What's he doing next? You know? All right, comic lover. Halfway to 40. No one believes. My girl says it's because aging stopped during my bid, five years for allegedly taking items from one place to another.
Starting point is 01:51:47 Okay. There's no way that this isn't Ron age. There's just no way. Michael D Send in some support Look at that's amazing Is it PLD as rogue Which is absolutely incredible
Starting point is 01:51:59 Is that me? Or is that just cyclops Because PLDS is out of control It's beautiful Really good I'll take the paycheck Yeah you should support for Chris I just looked at my clock
Starting point is 01:52:12 And it's at 133331 there you go Ooh little numerical palindrome Yeah not bad Not bad at all Okay There we go. And this is Charlie Tobin. The uprising trailer looks good. Andrew Garfield. That's what people said. I got to check that one out too. Check it out. Yeah. Okay. Smog. Chris, is there a video game adaptation you like to see come to fruition? Minus Silent Hill is a serialized TV series with Kane Parsons involved. Oh, man. That's a good one. I mean, there's so many like, Bioshock would be killer. Lunar is a really fun series. Earthbound would be so weird. Um, yeah, and then I don't know how you do it, but just because I love playing it so much, kingdom hearts.
Starting point is 01:52:56 Kingdom hearts would be fun. Okay. But I don't know how you do it. Interesting. Optimist Climb, 62, 67. I think the scene in Jedi will be better for the reaction because the scene itself gives more time to react it and are and Revenge of the Sith. The scene moves on immediately. I mean, I agree.
Starting point is 01:53:11 The problem is that it's just jumping. I'm going to stick to the machete order. I'm already starting it that way. I'm just going to do it that way. And then, you know, and she's had such a different experience than most people. in Star Wars anyway, then why not just stick to it? I'm going to do, and people will complain about it, and that's fine. There's a, my grandmother's used to say this all the time.
Starting point is 01:53:28 I don't give a flying fuck. Ronnie, at comic, you're much prettier than I am. How does Christian think that we are one and the same? That dude has been weird ever since you watched Hollywood. This is true. This is true. Ryan S. Curious if you've seen the stills released a couple of weeks ago for the animated series coming
Starting point is 01:53:46 to Netflix next year, Ghostbusters Night Shift. No, but I'd like to see it. Yeah. A big Ghostbusters fan. Yeah. So PLD says Ray said we missed one of his about G.I. Joe and Springfield. No, I mean, there it is. Okay.
Starting point is 01:54:01 Got it. Ray, so he's doing a G.I. Joe movie about Springfield. Is that the episode where Shipwreck finds out he was mined after Cobra and given false memories? It's the kid's show's version of M.K. Ultra. Yeah, look, that's the thing I've got to make very clear. And thank you, Ray, for bringing this up, too. even though I think that Danny McRest didn't even be taking inspirations
Starting point is 01:54:20 from the comics, I think he's taking more inspiration from stuff like this. I don't think he's going. I don't think he's doing comic adaptations, which I'm bummed about, but I get. So that's very possible, right, that he's doing that, because he might be, he, maybe he doesn't have that kind of, his love from G.I. Joe doesn't come from the comics.
Starting point is 01:54:36 They might come from these types of shows, and he wanted to do a more serious version of that. So that's very, very possible. I know this probably sounds all foreign to Chris Carr right now, but this is all the job. the hut noises. This is the job of the hut plus. This is great. Yeah, like anime and other things too. It's like for more soccer.
Starting point is 01:54:53 Okay. Where's the next one? And that's this one. Yeah. Estevan Gonzalez, thoughts on a scoop saying that Adam Driver as X-Men Sinister. Well, I saw the Magneto thing. Does it say sinister? Is that another thing that they said sinister as well? I like that more than Magneto.
Starting point is 01:55:11 Is sinister though? Doesn't that play some more in the Kylo Ren type version? I mean, ish, I suppose, because Sinister does all this weird. Like, he's another villain. But, like, he's a weird, messed up character who does, like, experimentation on other mutants and stuff. Your sales order says one thing. Your inventory says another. Your spreadsheet says, good luck.
Starting point is 01:55:37 O-Doo brings your business together on a single platform. From sales and accounting to inventory and marketing, visit O-D-com to book a demo. It's O-D-O-O-O-O-O-D-O-com. come. I like that more than him as Magneto, mostly just because I don't understand how that works. Is he Magneto in a different timeline or weren't young Magneto doesn't make sense to me unless it's like a Fassbender, Days of Future Past kind of situation. Yeah, it's true.
Starting point is 01:56:04 I guess, well, I guess that's why when you're casting younger, though, if you're casting in your ex-men are casting in their early 20s and he's, I mean, Adam Driver's got to be what, 43, 44? Yeah. But I also need to know what horrible hardship that Magneto went through. I understand if you do need to move up the timeline so that there isn't something like he went through, you know, being a prisoner of war being put in like a camp in the Holocaust. That's so integral to who Magneto is. And you obviously can take another horrific moment from history and use that as somebody's catalyst for why they have their belief system structure. But that's the part that right now I'm kind of,
Starting point is 01:56:46 I'm a little too tied to that. And I could probably find a way to get over it, but that seems so important to that character. That's fair. Friendly neighborhood, Kinnuck, if you are familiar with it, the Pirates of Dark Water,
Starting point is 01:56:56 a high fantasy cartoon from the early 90s could be a fun series to see. I don't know it. Do you know that one? Oh, no. No, I don't know it. I still want to see, we talked about this.
Starting point is 01:57:05 This is not a series, but this is a movie. I still want to see them do a live action version of the Black Cauldron. I want it so badly. I think it'd be so good. It would never in a million years do it now because they'll be too scared. They'll go, Moana can't hit. Black culture ain't hit.
Starting point is 01:57:20 Arago, is it me or does it feel like YouTube is being more strict on obsession reactions? Oh, it's not just you. I feel like this movie has been more typical than others. It's funny because I know Real Rejects have had there, has had a lot of issues with that one. We had a lot of issues too. Our reaction actually got butchered to hell. There's a huge jumps and cuts in it. It's not the full thing that I would tell people the better.
Starting point is 01:57:42 reaction to watch of ours is the unedited version of that because it's like it's just butchered Matt Sarah just did one with his wife that we put up on the channel and because I guess the editors have been working he just put it up the other day so the editors were working around it so much he didn't get hit with anything yet any copyrights but yes ergoly haven't absolutely been universal has been um a little bit more like they they completely demonetized my entire back to the future one I'm sure the Odyssey is going to be a pain in the app so um Yeah, Universal's been a little tougher on reactions lately. I don't know what it is, but you got to maneuver around it.
Starting point is 01:58:20 That's the whole thing. Okay. Sorry if I missed the explanation, but for yours and Sam, Star Wars reactions, you ending with the Lucas prequel movies. Thank you, I don't need to apologize. So we started with Andor, which then led into Rogue 1, which led into episode 4, which led into episode 5, and then one, two, and three, ending with six, not ending with six,
Starting point is 01:58:40 then going to six, going to Mandalorian season one through three, ending this year on Mandalorian and Grogu and picking the sequel trilogy back up next year before Starfighter. Okay. Yeah. Nice. Christopher A.O.2. Chris, have you played or watched Fallout? They're making a new game and I think you would kill it as a fanatic cultist type character.
Starting point is 01:59:04 What does that say about me as a person? What does that say? Although this is my friend Jim's favorite insult for me is, okay. vault dweller um because he just thinks like that i both uh look like uh kirkland uh lucy from fallout um and also because of my my joy and enthusiasm for everything he's like you walk through the world like somebody who has been trapped in a bunker it's hilarious so so i think i'd do well in that cultist wolf i got to finish that i got to finish that chris give ron h and i an interview or in person i'll bring this to know we'll do a four hour live stream and
Starting point is 01:59:38 really cut loose shout out to p.l d good egg i I'll tell you what. You guys should be a tag team in wrestling, the two of you guys. You'll bring the snow as in literally or cocaine. I think he's been talking about, I think he's been talking about the lab. I've spent so much money on this nose. Absolutely not. No. No, no, no, no. Robux. Loved your reaction to the I play Rocky trailer. Can't wait to see this pilot of yours. Thank you. Who knew the best way to tell the story of making Rocky was to film it like Rocky. Yes. It's, and I forget, Chris. Have you, have you seen the original Rocky? I forget. I have. Okay. So I have seen the original Rocky and all the Rockies more times than I can possibly even count out, right? So I know them like the back of my hand. I was watching the trailer and there are moments inside of the, there are sometimes when people will reenact scenes and other things like, okay, it's reenactment. I thought they were playing scenes from the movie. It was not only from the choreographed it, but how they shot it, like the film quality of it. Like there's a shot.
Starting point is 02:00:40 in the ice rink with the famous scene with rocking adrian as they're on it looks like them it just looks like them it's incredible it's it's what you please please please please watch that trailer when uh when you have an opportunity to um yeah and thank you rob i appreciate and rob same thing for you man i guess the you know when it comes to the pilot in general what is it there are certain tears and please guys i'm gonna reiterate this again for anybody who's in the chat now you put it in the comment section. If you are going to donate, what would it be that you really want at far as what tier, that type of thing? What would you be interested in? And if you're on the fence about it, what would it take in order for me to say, okay, I can offer you this. And I think that's,
Starting point is 02:01:25 that's the fair thing for me to ask you guys. If you're asking someone, an investment, you're going, well, what do you want? Shout out to Rob real quick. If you guys love Power Rangers, he's done some podcast episodes with me about Power Rangers. And he's so cool and awesome and a great voice actor. Sounds like it. Um, Mr. I crap and shits. Chris, now that can't be as fully remote now with this show, are you going to pop in and say hi? Miss your banter with Rob. Oh, I miss R&B. I love him so much. Um, no, though, because I, I asked to be remote and I wasn't offered it. And so that's why I quit you guys. So I'm in a, I'm in a new season and there's no ill will to them in any way, shape, or form. Um, but I already tried to do that. And so it's not for me. Fair enough.
Starting point is 02:02:05 Um, comic lover. Hearing Chris say sloppy seconds, my knees buckled. You're welcome. Yeah. Vision Moore. I love snatch. I knew you were going to play that. I knew it.
Starting point is 02:02:20 You filthy asshole. I knew it. I knew it. Vision more, 536. If you play WWE 2K-26, the Hardy Boys will be in the season pass for next month. I was a little sad hearing that Keith Lee retiring.
Starting point is 02:02:34 I was surprised Kenny Omega won the belt. Yeah, I didn't, you know, I haven't caught up as much with AEW, so I can't. I mean, I know it's what you're talking about, but I can't pretend it's not foreign to me. And I've been a little off as far as watching wrestling in general. Chris, have you been tuning in at all? I have not been keeping up at all. A whole bunch of my friends, too, are kind of shifting to watching different organizations. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:54 They're like more AEW, I guess now. It just hasn't been good lately. And it's just, it's too repetitive. It's too repetitive. And it just seems too circusy. I don't know why we need to keep like trying to launch lessner. Like, let's leave that alone. And also they did admit to using AI script.
Starting point is 02:03:09 And I think it shows. This was something a while ago that a friend was talking to me about where I was like, hey, when's our next retro wrestle watch? And she was like, dude, I think I'm done. Like they're using AI. They're doing this, that and the other. That is also secondhand information. So I got that wrong.
Starting point is 02:03:26 Wow. Okay, I haven't double checked on that. But let's say, Mr. I crap and shits. Mortal Kombat was based on a religious Scandinavian song. It was a Finnish hymn. I'll see myself out now. Well, I would have believed that if he'd say I'd see myself out now. Ben frankly gifted one membership thank you Ben very nice of you two more two more right now
Starting point is 02:03:46 okay I mean you're ready at 101 so it's pretty good Chris who that's good Bobby random question Christian do you ever miss the leaf blowers in the squirrels no do you remember do you remember that Chris were you part of yes okay oh I would a couple times where I was there and we were just like well let's hold yep the leaf blower was it was like every Wednesday I think the guy would come and just like it was he was just right at the door and it was just so loud and crazy. The squirrels weren't during that time. The squirrels, because I had, I had different, like this, this is why I can say I'm almost an expertise, I have an expertise in squirrels, squirrel behavior, rather, because they are significantly, like not all squirrels are the same,
Starting point is 02:04:27 because I lived in an apartment complex where these squirrels were major assholes. And a couple them snuck into the house at one point. I caught one running across the thing and knocking shit all over the place and they jumped out when my daughter and my wife were out and they, and they're chasing one out of there and they were like and they were like, they looked aggressive. Every time we walked out, they looked like they were going to attack and they were, were you. Were you leaving meth out for them? What was happening? I'm telling you. They were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were, they were talk about it on the Shmows No Show all the time, but they were really there. So, I went in
Starting point is 02:04:57 with PTSD going into my next place, the one that you were at with, because there were squirrels everywhere there too, but they were nice. They didn't bother anybody. I never dealt with a cracked out squirrel. No, these squirrels were okay. They never, I, because I went looking for some shit when I got there because I'm like, okay, these squirrels, because I just dealt with some, you know, the worst squirrels in the world. They weren't bad. So they, I never really complained about them, but the leaf blower was something else.
Starting point is 02:05:21 So no, Bobby, I don't miss either one. Arago, you'll be showing Sam, the Obi-Wan show. I love that show so good. I think it smells like farts. So probably not. But I'm glad that you liked it. I just don't like the show. there's moments in it that work but I just I think this no I won't be showing the show because I don't
Starting point is 02:05:40 perfect that's good that was good did you just upload a windblower wow that's what he's doing with his time undefeated this is this he really is becoming Fred LD wow it really is um that was good though uh let's say so where is um so no I won't be showing him then heading into the Odyssey right now Ben come back tomorrow and tell us what you think I'm hyped longtime fan first time supertter thank you ben been following since the movie talk love all your sam's reactions thank you very much yeah tomorrow is the is that's the big reaction man empire it's going to be out there tomorrow uh luke just made two thumbnails look can you put both of those thumbnails in the images i'm going to put i'm going to tell you guys what my with the one i think
Starting point is 02:06:22 i'm going with the two that he made but i'm going to be curious to see what everybody thinks i'm like a chris's opinion too so luke if you can put both of those in there that'll be great uh beama michael the movie trivish mode on poster set of the live events as incentive. So, wait, the movie, poster set. So incentive, I know. I guess it's a collection of all the posters that you made back in the day.
Starting point is 02:06:47 If they should go down like those big live event posters, like a whole like collection of them. I mean, digitally or physically. Physically, I mean, you have to send them on me. I mean, that wouldn't be cheap, cheap to make. That'd have to be a high tier in order to do that. I just don't know, Bama, if enough people would, would care as much.
Starting point is 02:07:03 I mean, we are going to make a shirt. we're going to make a shirt that says our show and then put the trending um and just give away the title of the show it's great there you go it's the name of the show um so we're going to be doing that people are going to get mad at me now my team came mad at she said the name of the show but i just did there you go um all right aunt colston you see that's coming no i guess not aunt colston i believe that the CEO said the experiment with AI was i believe that the CEO said the experiment with AI for w.b storylines watching you can tell. The show stinks right now. Yeah, that makes sense. Okay, let's see. Next one after that. And that is,
Starting point is 02:07:47 did that already. This is the last one for now. Did you write a role for Dice in your show? Currently, no, but Dice is a really good actor. He's really good. Have you seen him in, I mean, he was in Starsborn, which he was really good at. there was a couple other ones that he did but he's really good no there is a role that will be for the series of my dad but i'm set on and going to try my hardest if the show is a series
Starting point is 02:08:21 and we are successful i'm going to run and grab and reach and try to get clancy brown to play the death that's my goal oh i will i will work craft services that day I will do whatever to be like, Hello, Mr. Brown. I was apparently his first podcast interview ever. Really? Yeah. Oh, I love him.
Starting point is 02:08:44 Yeah. Okay, I think there's one more. Oh, another one. The Merlo line. Set visits sound cool and all, but for an East Coast Schmobilia that hates flying, any chance of a tier award offering an audition for any possible voiceover roles. I have a great coach, Koff, speak, friend, cough.
Starting point is 02:09:01 It's hilarious. Wait, who are you? They're going to find out. Whose username is this? Who is this? Yeah, there could be. I mean, you know, maybe it's like radio stuff. You know, the other thing is there's a thing at the very end, I can say this,
Starting point is 02:09:12 that we're going to be showcasing like people's usernames and things. And I think that there's a possibility where we can offer a tier that maybe one of the, you know, one of these is the person's actual username that we could potentially do, which could be fun. But as far as like there is, you know, things like this potential to remember also. Merlo, I'm in New York. So there's also things that we can potentially offer, like, you know, whether it's a New York premiere, those types of things too.
Starting point is 02:09:39 So 100%. Cassio Beard, it smells like farts, Luke. I'm your father. I am your farder. Oh, farter. Even better. Tom McLever, the Rocky filler broke me, took me back to my childhood. Same.
Starting point is 02:09:52 My step-dust and I used to sell fake sneakers on the Bergenland, Jersey, and then we watch Rocky. Now I'm convinced that you're my people that I know. Ben, I'm in Nashville too, so seeing in the 70mm. I can't Nashville. So I went there. I went to that. That's where I went, right?
Starting point is 02:10:08 Luke, that's the one that I went to. I think so. It was, I mean, I was, I had never done anything like this in my life before. And I don't think I ever will again. I, no, the theater, not the theater experience. The theater experience was awesome. It's for Godzilla. I went to, it was, um, it was in L.A. still.
Starting point is 02:10:25 And so I flew to, to Tennessee in the morning. I had to sleep at the Delta lounge because I got in so early for like an hour or two, something like that, maybe even three hours, then I went to the theater and I got out of the movie and I went back on the plane, right back to L.A. in the course of eight hours or something, nine hours.
Starting point is 02:10:49 It was like, I was in L.A. in the morning. I was back in L.A. at night. It was in that Tennessee. Like, it was, it was rough.
Starting point is 02:10:58 It was a rough one. I was exhausted. All right, let's see. Next one. Is there a next one? Or is that it? No, I think that's it, Chris. Let's say, but I think that, but Chris, I think Luke put the two thumbnails in there. No, he did.
Starting point is 02:11:12 Okay. No, he did not. Where is it? I think I have them. It's just going to take me a second. Give me a second. Let me bring them up. Luke, just in the future, if you're, for the texts on any images, just send them to me and PLD, just so PLD, has them also because PLD doesn't have them.
Starting point is 02:11:33 But I'm going to, I'll put both of them up here. Hold on. Sorry for cracking my shoulders on air, you guys. If you said that noise gross to anyone out. No, that's right. We didn't hear it. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 02:11:43 Okay. Attention to her. Never mind then. No, it's all right. I'm going to put these both in here now because I want to get your opinion and I want to get the audience's opinion on this. This is two that I have here is the two thumbnails that we're going to do for, Empire Strikes Back for.
Starting point is 02:11:59 for tomorrow. I have my opinion and I want, son of a bitch, we don't have enough. This is today's match. Got getting rid of that. Hold on.
Starting point is 02:12:12 I know, so this one, sorry, PLDy. It's a good one, but I'm getting rid of it. It doesn't even look like you. Who's it supposed to be?
Starting point is 02:12:20 Doesn't even look like a field date. I don't look like a penguin nose. Who is that? This one's a good one. That's the end of it. this one's good too the joke is gone though we're going
Starting point is 02:12:36 all right so let's try that again these are the two thumbnails again I have them I'm uploading them Chris the time will tell if it'll actually work I will tell you in two seconds let's see two and one and it looks like this is going to work
Starting point is 02:12:53 okay so let me get your thoughts guys from both of you the chat Chris Carr we're gonna in the chat you either put one or two here is one to the thumbnail
Starting point is 02:13:07 okay here is two oh all right so again this is one this is two all right so it's like really clean though
Starting point is 02:13:24 it is um oh I am in the minority so far I like I liked one better as well. I liked one better. But there's a way to clear it up,
Starting point is 02:13:38 to clean it to make it look a little less just clearly, but I... I thought I could use the other one for the unedited version. Yeah, that's probably what we'll do. Oh, there you go. Send me them whichever one you'll do. Use two as the unedited.
Starting point is 02:13:52 Send it to me done. No. Fuck off. Okay. say so let me let me get um oh we had i think two more sneakie two more come in all right one or oh three there's three more so they see they don't want they want you to win that's it baby i didn't care about the perks though i know others might i knew i was going to be donating to the kickstart from day one i i i bobby is i've i've had the pleasure of meeting bobby i came
Starting point is 02:14:30 and bobby how many times we met over 20 now easily through Comic-Con. He's come to, he's come to one of my favorite moments, and I've said this before, too, is Bobby came and hung out at one of the stand-up shows. And he and I just walked together. I think it's back to where my car was parked around in that area. He's just a good human. He's a nice guy, and he's a film guy, but he's also can have conversations with you about, I mean, he doesn't always agree with everything that we say. He says conversations, but that means a lot to me, Bobby. I appreciate it. And if you're in this area when we have the opportunity, you know, when the show gets made and we're able to, you know, we're able to. do it one of the perks of having like the new york kind of premier is that i'd love to see you there if you're able to or the i mean who knows bobby travels all over the fucking place so we'll probably see him at one of these things so we'll talk about it we'll have when we make it bobby
Starting point is 02:15:14 and we have the premiere you and i will have a beer and we'll laugh we'll laugh and we'll laugh and talk about it vision more it's going to be a big summer for tom holland is sure tom holland people keep saying summer of tom holland right how about the year of anne hathaway and hathaway's having a big year zandaya's having a big year Zendaya has what? She got, oh yeah, I guess three as well. And Timothy Chalmay is another one, but I guess Zendaya has Dune, Spider-Man, and Odyssey, right?
Starting point is 02:15:41 That's a good question. Out of the three, who has the biggest, who's having the biggest year? Then it's Tom Holland. Tom Holland has, how many movies, two? Yes.
Starting point is 02:15:52 Anne Hathaway has three or four. Yeah. She's got Delaware's product. She's Devereux Prada. Mother Mary. Right, four. Oak Street. and an Odyssey.
Starting point is 02:16:05 And she's a... Which one? And Verity. Oh my gosh. Five. Sanathway hands down. And she did a magic trick. Because this doesn't happen often.
Starting point is 02:16:17 There is very few times that an actor could be in more than two movies during the year. And people are not sick of them. We had to struggle to even think about all the movies she was in. Because it is so crafted in a way, she's not doing five. big huge blockbuster movies she's doing critically critical things smaller movies made her things huge things you know and she got the the commercial pop one with devil wears product she's got the
Starting point is 02:16:44 huge movie with the big director with potential Oscar with nolan she's got this oak street the kind of cool movie that everyone's talking about mother the mother wasn't mary is that that that's the other one yeah and then just like yeah this is crazy what she was able this this is something that does not happen often. She did five movies in a year quietly and was and was also people are not like, oh, I'm sick of Anne Hathaway. People are like, give me more in Hathaway. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then, and now she's going to disappear for a while and have her baby. Right. That's probably why she did what she did for sure. Um, okay, two left. Comic lover. First dad taught me snow and work ethic. Two dad taught me to sell butt and fight. Third dad taught me to sell items and
Starting point is 02:17:26 petty theft. Hey, it happens all love though. I'm telling you. I'm a lover and and our boy Ron have become like stars and I don't know if it's for the right reasons but there's stars um vision more the summer of Robert Pattinson too what was so Pattinson was in was Odyssey what else is he in uh he and Zendaya had the invite or wait no right that was called or their their wedding not the invite but the um no because that's something else no but it but it is the movie you're thinking about um what the hell bother me so much. Chat help me. What was their, what was their wedding
Starting point is 02:18:06 movie? Drama. Drama. The drama. Thank you. And Dune. And Dune. And prime time as well. Oh, so he's got four. Yeah. Shit. Okay. Yeah, crazy.
Starting point is 02:18:20 He's another one that's doing. Your Schmitz. For me, the most important thing for the Kickstarter is a really good presentation video on the campaign page. That's that. We're working on that. We're working on that for sure. So there's going to be two, right? There's going to be one that we're actually working on. It's going to be for the pre one that comes up for August. And it's essentially going to be Martini and myself explaining who we are, what we're doing, a quick thing about, like, what the show is about, why we're doing a campaign in general and what we hope to accomplish.
Starting point is 02:18:48 You know, so that's going to be something on that page for sure. Star Wars Squad, there is, Kev. Support for Chris. Kevin, he's trying to be throwing himself, maybe. Yoshimitsu, two out of two. if the show looks great to customers, I think it'll be the best selling point. Yeah,
Starting point is 02:19:04 this is what told me on every Kickstarter I have backed, which are mostly video games. Yeah, I mean, so it's 100%. You got to, because you can't just, look at Bobby for an example. Bobby has said,
Starting point is 02:19:17 I'm donating no matter what. And I love Bob. And, and that's great. I can't rely on 13,000 Bobby's. You know what I mean? Like the other,
Starting point is 02:19:30 the other, I have to think that the other potential don't, potential donators are going to be like, sure, you, you potentially have me, but what am I, what am I investing? And that's what that's what it's all about. Last one. Christian, our pre municipal support for Chris. I have nothing to say. That's fair.
Starting point is 02:19:48 Thank you, Mr. I. Well, Chris has something to say because she's going to tell us about what she's working on right now. You guys, I've got a lot going on. If you had an over to Amazon, there's a wonderful film called Viewpoints that is out that you can go, go check out and I am a voice in that. I have a small, small role in that. So thank you so much to our director Jesse. Let me know how you think about it. What do you think? We want to hear some reviews. We want people watching this. If you were interested in voiceover, check out speakfriendstidio.com. We do one-on-one
Starting point is 02:20:14 classes. I should be doing another like intro to VO boot camp soon. You guys just let me know if that's something that you want. Hit me up in the Discord and let me know. I also have a podcast with the wonderful, funny, talented Amy Newman. That drops every Friday. Check us out on YouTube. Check us out wherever you get your podcasts. This week, we're going to be talking about anime that I have been enjoying, some new stuff that is really fun. We've got a universal episode from last week where we talk all about mega movie summer, which is kind of more of a minor movie summer. And we've got some stuff about horror unleashed coming out soon. So lots of things going on. Follow me at It's Chris Carr on Instagram to keep up with all of it. Thank you, Chris Carr. And then to answer people's
Starting point is 02:20:54 question, Sam wrote me back. You've seen the first two mission apostles. So, okay. Yeah. Comic lover you guys in the chat all around great people all love and to you as well you've been just super supporter so thank you comic lover appreciate that um yeshmitsu also would it make sense to have very high stretch goals for filming additional episodes of the show so stretch goals in general yes um for additional episodes of the show i mean listen there is the the question is again it's going to be basically if you go to what we're looking for in the 300k range right for the for the first episode And as I mentioned, for people who don't know, I think in general, to make the show that what the production, everybody came over to make it look like a glossy, like the way, you know how obsession looked, it looked like a $10 million film. I don't know, you didn't see it, but it looked like a $10 million film and they shot it in a way.
Starting point is 02:21:45 Like, this is what we try to have the team doing where they're going to put it together. The best version of it is going to be in the 350 range, right? That's the best version of what this show is going to be. But I also want to be realistic and say, okay, we're going to set it at 250. and the stretch goal is to hit 350. That's the first stretch goal. And that's to hit through the, make the exact show that we want us so we can get the cast we want that we can get this.
Starting point is 02:22:05 If it hits past that, the stretch goals, honestly, Yoshimitsu would be, okay, now we have enough to go out to more cast or go out to someone else or go or get this location or use that song. Right. That's what those stretch goals would do initially with the first one. Additional episodes is like you basically have to raise the same amount of money again,
Starting point is 02:22:24 you know, five or six different times. Look, I don't have, I mean, I shouldn't say it, but I don't, I don't believe that I have the type, you know, of audience that can do what, you know, hey, you raised 3.5 million in two days. I'm like, holy shit, we can make a whole bunch of fucking episodes. I just don't see that happening today. But I think we can get to that initial goal, for sure. Yeah, absolutely. Sorry, Iyoshi, looking forward to a 12-hour stream for Kickstarter. We're going to be doing some good ones.
Starting point is 02:22:55 but that's it. Thank you. Chris Karn at 120. Pretty good. It's a competition this week. I don't know. I don't know who's going to win. I really don't.
Starting point is 02:23:05 I got to see what Kevin's overall numbers are from last night. And I got to see Chris's numbers will register tomorrow. And then I usually on Saturday let everybody know what happens. So thank you, Chris. Appreciate it as always. Thank you to. Yeah, of course. It's great to have you here.
Starting point is 02:23:22 Thanks. PLD, Luke, Jonathan to MK and Sam. Really appreciate that. Yeah, you guys are the best. And, oh, here's another one, sorry. Here you mentioned, those stretch goals also sound like great it is. Thank you. Yeah, I mean, that's the whole, that's the whole thing, man.
Starting point is 02:23:41 If you guys know, right, you're like, oh, okay, holy shit, they're almost at this and they can make an offer for, you'll know, you'll probably know the role if you're a, if you're a donator, you'll say, oh, the role of so-and-so, we actually made this amount. We can make an offer to this person. So that's a possibility. So it's you guys knowing the business too, right? That's the whole thing. Thank you again.
Starting point is 02:24:04 Appreciate it. We'll see on the flip side. Make sure you check out the unedited version of Empire Strikes Back. The full edited version will be up tomorrow. If you are a member, you can check that out today as soon as the show is over. Tomorrow, Winston will be on the show. He and I. On Monday, my reaction.
