Starting point is 00:00:28 Happy celebrating. What's going on by Stan Lee? There's a new documentary with Stan Lee's final years and how he was essentially being taken advantage of. We're going to discuss that. Jeff Snyder broke the news about Sadie Singh being in the MCU and X-Men for, I don't know, it must have been months ago. Well, now I guess the other reporter is saying, guess what, Sadie Singh's going to be in the MCU. but I think she's even Spider-Man
Starting point is 00:01:01 For us what they're saying. So we're going to dive into that. We have other things that we're going to discuss here today. There's box office stuff. Daredevil, surprisingly, I can't believe. It's just not doing very well if you look at all the numbers. But that is concerning for Marvel. What does it mean?
Starting point is 00:01:20 So I started the show at 2 o'clock on the dot. Why? Because Brett Sheridan was supposed to be here at 155. Still, not necessarily in the run. room right now he's here there's just a black screen I'm gonna read his text I'm sure it's him I can't get the camera to work perfect so maybe he should have been here 15 minutes earlier either way we're gonna do a show so let's start with credits that works let's see along that's pretty tech savvy so maybe by the time we get
Starting point is 00:01:54 back we'll have something I don't know Sure, let's do it. Welcome back to the show, everybody. It is Christian-Harnoff show. It is today, which is what, Wednesday. I wasn't even sure if I was going to do a show today. But sometimes Wednesdays would like to take the day off if I don't have a guest lined up or anything,
Starting point is 00:02:24 and I didn't. But Brett last night, I said, hey, I can do the show with you tomorrow. You want to do it? I said, yeah, man, let's do it. So, fast forward to 202 p.m. His camera doesn't work. Perfect. he's destined to not be on this show ever again um but we'll find out soon so might as well
Starting point is 00:02:45 just read this story um i posted something for members today and it was the um watch along for spider man two toby mcguire one so if you guys are already members for that you can check it out we're trying we're going to see if we can beat uh roxy and mike's record yesterday How many? How many was it? I set it up top. He was like 80 something. I'll tell you in a minute.
Starting point is 00:03:14 But they did a pretty good day yesterday. They had a pretty good day. They had 83. So can they beat 80? Can Brett beat 83? Probably not because he's not here. But let's get into this first story. And we'll see if Brett ever shows up.
Starting point is 00:03:30 Here's the story. So there's a, I saw this thing pop up in this clip. And Stan Lee, I said, what's this? I started looking at it. So John Bolerjack filmed hundreds of hours of footage that he says shows bad behavior by those
Starting point is 00:03:46 around the Marvel legend. Now he is turning into a documentary, Stan Lee, the final chapter. In the final years of Stanley's life, John Bolerjack and his camera became a fixture wherever the Marvel icon went. He followed Lee around the world to come for conventions, to movie premieres.
Starting point is 00:04:06 He captured charming moments and candid conversations at least Hollywood Hills home, but Bolerjack says his camera also captured bad behavior among his Lee's inner circle. Over the past few years, he has been turning hundreds of hours of footage into a documentary called Stanley the final years, a film that was a secret until today. Bolerjack has unveiled a trailer and a Kickstarter campaign to complete work on the project, which he says poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into it. it's already been well documented that Lee had a tumultuous final few years, a 2018 Hollywood Reporter investigation detailed allegations of elder abuse amid a power struggle for control of Lee's care and his state.
Starting point is 00:04:53 But Bolerjack contends things were even worse than previously known and that Lee was in financial ruin the time of his death at age 95 in November of 2018. The trailer tells the story of an elderly icon who was being carded, around to comic book signings despite being exhausted. Though the trailer doesn't name the people shown in the footage, one is Max Anderson. Lee's former road manager who figured into the Hollywood Reporter investigation and has previously denied any wrongdoing regarding his work with Lee. Bollerjack, a comic book fanatic who studied documentaries at film school,
Starting point is 00:05:29 met Lee a decade ago through a mutual friend to pitch Lee on making a reality show. Lee agreed and soon Boller Jack became part of the comic book creator's entourage. But it became a parry that Lee's demanding schedule, traveling to conventions, and spending hours signing autographs was taking its toll. Bolerjacks says he tried to help out how he could and acknowledges he broke the cardinal rule of documentary filmmaking by growing close to his subject. I grew to look at him as a friend as family and I really wanted to be there to advocate for him, Bolerjack said, adding that he attempted to lessen the workload for Lee and advocated for more breaks. I was doing the best I could. Lee had a carefully crafted public persona as the eternally upbeat pitch man for all things Marvel and comics, so it feels surprisingly that he,
Starting point is 00:06:10 surprising that he would have been happy with low points in his life being part of a documentary, but Buller Jack says that Lee did give his blessing and knew the reality show it would instead become a doc. I spoke to him about this at length, even toward the very end of his life. A lot of things have happened to him, but I didn't get the sense that he felt shame about it. Buller Jack said, I think he wanted it out there at sort of warning. all right that's it so you hear all that and i got to ask what you think brett oh my god that was whoa what is happening i like right how's that is that better much better oh my goodness i can't get my camera to be look at this horrible you still sound like you're at the hollywood bowl
Starting point is 00:07:05 Man, it's okay. Yeah, it's one of those days, man. Yes, you're good. You're loud. But hey, look, is that, are you at home? No, I'm at the studio. I just, I'm usually a tighter shot. I don't understand the echo.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I don't know. I've done this before. It's worked. I just don't know. Yeah. Why don't you pop me off? off and then I'll come back. You can do it yourself.
Starting point is 00:07:42 You don't need me to remove. I don't even know how to do anything, man. Perfect. I got some big announcements as soon as I get this thing to work. Oh, I can't wait to hear it. Perfect. You know, just you got to drop out of the studio and then come back. Still hear me, leave.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Just get out of here. There he goes. That's perfect. Perfect. Just perfect. So, and so unplug. and plug back in. This is sad. This is real sad because, I mean, look, there's two parts of this for me.
Starting point is 00:08:17 The first part is what I just said. It's very sad. And you get angry, right? Because this is Stan Lee. We want to see Stan Lee get taken advantage of. And there were these reports years and years ago. I remember them. I don't remember where we talked about it, when we talk or whatever it was.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I remember us talking about it somewhere. Um, that's the first part. The second part is, thank God they filmed it. Now, as they stated in other people stated in the articles, it's alleged right now, right? Because the thing that you're going to have to make up your mind for is to see what happens through the footage, uh, of this documentary of, well, wait a minute. This is, because you can interpret it. Wait, maybe it isn't that bad. I'm leaning on the side of is pretty bad. I'm leaning on the side of this.
Starting point is 00:09:07 It's going to be people exposed here that as I, in the small clip that I saw, the guy's 95 years old and they're just like, they're treating him like he's like a, you know, 30 year old man like, okay, here we go,
Starting point is 00:09:18 going to sign, sign, sign. It's like, I don't know. And then I saw another part of the footage, I guess to where he's, stands walking through and somebody kind of yells at him. He says,
Starting point is 00:09:26 hey, look out. If it doesn't look like it was part of his crew, it was yelling at him. Mostly he was some stupid ass fan that was yelling at him. But either way, it's going to, this is going to piss you off when you watch it. there's no doubt about it.
Starting point is 00:09:37 This is going to piss you off. So, but I'm glad they're making it. I'm glad that if people did take advantage of them, that they're going to get exposed, and I'm glad that it's going to be out there for people to see. So that being said, a real bummer,
Starting point is 00:09:57 a real bummer that that even went down at all. I don't like it. Brett, what do you think? Good. You feel the same way? Okay. This is, I mean, who would have thought that Mike Kalinowski would have better technology than Brett Sheridan? Brett looked, it looked good.
Starting point is 00:10:18 It looked good, but that's about it. That is about it, guys. So the other thing that I think that we all need to know is what the hell happened, what is happening with Daredevil, by the way. I'm talking about that next because I'm going to be also honestly. I don't know how long the show is going to last today. We're going to have bread on, Brett, I'm supposed to be on, but I'm going to obviously get to everybody's questions today.
Starting point is 00:10:47 But there's tons of stuff that I wanted to talk about with you. And I know tomorrow, by the way, we're going to have, I think it's, yeah, it's Steph and Mike are back. And then Friday, I think it's just Winston. I think Corey's out of town this week. If I believe, if I believe myself, which I don't know if I do. I don't necessarily believe myself. All right, let's get into this because I'm going to be honest.
Starting point is 00:11:12 This, this one surprised me. This surprised me. Daredevil Born Again launches with 7.5 million views on Disney Plus. Now you see that and you go, okay, 7.5 million. Is that good? Daredevil Born Again enjoyed a strong launch on Disney Plus. They said it was strong. So I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:11:31 People were telling me not, what's happening? According to the Mouse House, the Marvel television series drew, 7.5 million views in the first five days of availability on Disney Plus. The view defined as a total stream time divided by runtime. That makes it the biggest streaming debut on the platform this year. I'm so confused. The show officially launched on March 4th. Disney does not regularly release viewership information about its streaming shows.
Starting point is 00:11:55 So exact comparisons are difficult. But for some context, it was previously reported that the Sterling Kay Brown drama, Paradise, drew 7 million across its first nine days on Hulu and Disney. the first nine episodes of the Marvel show Agatha all along hit 9.3 in its first week of availability in September 2024. Daredeo born again saw the return of Charlie Coxon, Donafrio, yada, yada, yada, yada. Let's say anything else. The show has enjoyed positive reviews. Aramette Tanubu writing in her review for Variety, the Dareable Revival is wonderfully complex.
Starting point is 00:12:27 She'll take a sledgehammer to its former Netflix world allowing the titular character and those orbiting to transform under the weight and pain of its time. Dario Scarpe and Danes served as the series showrunner and executive producer Kevin Fagia. I'm so confused. It sent this story like it was the end of the world. Like it's bombing. People aren't watching. Is that just one of those things where they inflating the numbers because it did lower than Agatha? People are like, uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Maybe because it costs a lot. And it just said it was the highest. I pointed out to me in the comments, what am I missing here? I thought that I thought this is a this is bad news and then someone says lower than accolite numbers I guess maybe the it's just not the kind of numbers of old and you got to remember they lost a shit ton of subscribers too so maybe that is one of the things too I don't know I don't know I'm curious what people are are thinking on this one like what what is the overall deal nothing else dropped this year as a galaxy said that I mean
Starting point is 00:13:30 that's so that's why it's the highest so far i mean i guess that makes sense um and there's not and one of the things i will tell you though and it is it is nuts how this works because you can tell even something like the accolac which we can all agree i mean i definitely not a show i enjoyed but i was watching it was doing reactions to it and reviews those did well for not just my channel but for people in general you can tell the atmosphere of what's happening on YouTube and other things is that when the reactions come in, you can see certain channels or they're doing well and people, it means the interest is there and people are tuning into a bunch of different channels to see other people's reactions and they care about it.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Whether it's something, I mean, Acclite was one of those ones. I just wanted to see what people were talking about it, whether they liked it or not. Skelton crew was not one of those. Agatha was not one of those. This show is not one of those. Like I put out three reactions to it so far. It's like, I'm going to finish it. But it's like, yeah, people, it's not the same.
Starting point is 00:14:34 It's not the same as the shows that people want to watch every week. And I want to see what you guys are saying about and what's here. And I'm, I am shocked by that, to be honest. I thought this was going to be one of those ones. I knew I didn't think Captain America Brave New World was going to do very well. I didn't think it was going to do very well. And then I said, maybe they're going to start to turn it around with Daredevil. Now, even though these, these aren't, these aren't catastrophic numbers,
Starting point is 00:15:00 but they seem like they're potentially happy with it. But they're not like that water cooler moment you would hope, and I'm sure they would hope for, because it's not doing that for people. And I really like this show, and I really enjoyed the last episode. And what I did see, it looked like people were excited about this episode, too,
Starting point is 00:15:23 which I'm, which I'm excited about because I liked it a lot. And I thought people were going to say it was boring. It looked like people were digging this, particular episode. But I don't know, man. Either way, we're not in those glory years of Marvel anymore. I mean, we had this whole conversation about it with Roxy and myself and Mike yesterday.
Starting point is 00:15:43 And even if this number and the other side of it is too, Agatha did not cost a lot of money. How much did Daredevil cost? And you know, you talk about Captain America would reshoots. And they shoot a shit ton of this show, the Daredevil one. They shot it. I thought. correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that they shot that version that they were going to do. I thought they shot that and they said, no, no, no, we don't want to do this.
Starting point is 00:16:06 We're going to do the Netflix version of it. I thought that that's what happened. I thought they had shot a whole bunch of it. So without those kind of really big streaming numbers, if there's decent numbers and lower than Agatha, then maybe isn't the best. But I, um, I dig the show. I really like the show. It's one of my favorite things Marvel has done in quite a while, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:16:29 I'm more engaged in this than, I mean, Deadpool and Wolverine was a fun movie-going experience. This is a better, this is a better written show. This is, I mean, I know movie show, but same things. Like, it was, there's almost like a, like a mad TV element to Deadpool and Wolverine, right? Where they're kind of goofing on. They suck you out of reality here and there. It's always been Deadpool's thing.
Starting point is 00:16:52 I know. But this, I'm locked into this world. I'm locked into the street level thing. I'm locked into all of it. So I don't know. I don't know. Perfect. Brett can't get the camera to work.
Starting point is 00:17:06 We had him for two seconds, so I didn't necessarily lie that he was going to be on. He was on, but he was gone before we could even recapture the glory with Brett. But I'm locked into the show, man. I'm really locked into it. All right, so here's what we're going to do. I'm going to tell you guys real quick about some sponsors that we have. And then I'm going to come back. going to do like two or three more stories.
Starting point is 00:17:30 I'm going to get to your questions. And it'll probably be a shorter show today because it's, uh, it's me just me. So if you want, if there are any particular topics that you want to hear me cover that I didn't choose today, please put those in there when you're asking your questions at the end. Um,
Starting point is 00:17:44 I'll say I saw a bit of the, uh, I saw a majority of it. I turned off the last second. The Lilo and Stitch live action looks pretty good. Looks like the, uh, the animated show I'm definitely taking my daughter to take it to see it.
Starting point is 00:17:56 She won't watch the animated version, but I feel like, they're definitely targeting the little ones on this one. I think that this is going to be something that she'll respond to. So I'm excited to show with the trailer. It looked like an animated movie at first, blasting into a live action movie. So, and I thought that it could buy a ball.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Wait a minute. Wait, we might, we might have, let's see, how are we doing? I don't know. Yeah, it sounds good. Am I stuttering? No. I heard myself for a little bit. Oh. No, no, it's gone. Yeah, but it looks like, to me, it looks like my camera's like going all trippy. It's better than mics. Oh, good. Good. Well, that's what I was going for. I still tried getting you, uh, I still tried getting you to go fix mics, but that's, I've got, man, I got, I got, can't even get you that people. I got things.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Yeah, things. I got, I got to figure out why. this camera were, so when did you go to stream yards? This is a good discussion. Almost like two months ago. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Because that's probably, that's what I'm running into trouble. VidNinge worked fine. Did you, so, you know, whatever.
Starting point is 00:19:17 Because the reason why is that, you know, my biggest problem with Streamyard in the past was that you couldn't do updates to the layouts, you couldn't do updates to, you know, that there was the quality of it. There were things that this weren't working out, but now they fixed all that stuff. So I just said, okay,
Starting point is 00:19:34 it's easier to get everybody in there. But, oh, look at, hey, I figured it out. What did you figure out? I shut off my other browser
Starting point is 00:19:43 that was logged in too. So, hey, we worked it out, guys. I miss you all. Thank you for having me back, Christian.
Starting point is 00:19:52 In a perfect, this is perfect for the Christian Harlov channel that I would not have, you know, anything set up correctly. You know, I mean, it's, it's kind of par for the course. I'd smack myself in the head with the microphone yesterday, I think. I don't, I think that. I don't know what happened. But yesterday joined, during this, this arm popped off and Roxie's like, your lip is
Starting point is 00:20:13 bleeding. I didn't feel myself. But something to happen. And then, you know, I've been going, I've been going to the gym. So I try to get back at right around 145 my time. And I always have to, I got to. get food otherwise I'm going to be a disaster and I ordered door what is that I ordered door I ordered DoorDash yesterday and right as the show starts a guy was supposed to be
Starting point is 00:20:35 a 15 minute I didn't explain this in the area yesterday 15 minutes earlier um and he shows up right as the show starts so you'll get that yep come back and it was it was a hell of an intro um but that's it are you watching you there's no way you're watching daredevil uh no no severance severance severance Deverein's. Are you, are you caught up? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm not caught up yet. I am not confused at all. Yeah, that's not true. I don't know. It's like, yeah, it's one of those ones where you're just like, do I like this? Or am I just, I just want them to tell me what's going on. Right. I think it's a great show. But I, I liked it. I liked what I saw so far. But did you, what do you think about that Stanley article, sad, right? Oh, yeah. The worst. Did you read it or you didn't even read it? No, not at all. Any of the fucking stories I sent you? Dude, I got here with plenty of time, plenty of time.
Starting point is 00:21:33 I had 15 minutes ahead of time. I was like, I'll plug this thing in and then I messed around with it. So, you know, don't talk about that article. You just need about the article. Say that right. Oh, yeah. Yeah. You were just going to go with it.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Why didn't you go with it? You had to call me out. It's not one of those. those ones where I could ask you about it and then you start because if you if because if you go off on the wrong tangent not knowing what it is it it won't be great he's he was essential do you know anything about it at all um I'm gonna guess because I heard he there was like elder abuse when he would at the end of his yeah so this guy's doing it did a documentary was following him around um for a bit and then he he kind of discovered that his handlers are kind of taken
Starting point is 00:22:21 advantage of him but he has all the footage and he's finally releasing the movie as a documentary and so it's are you freezing like Mike please tell me you're freezing like Mike no no anyway so we we covered if you didn't if you don't have an opinion no you're fine no I mean I did hear that I didn't know I think that um he said it wasn't actually right when it first came out that that so he was being abused or whatever he made a statement I believe that said no no this is not true but so what you're telling me is that actually somebody was taking advantage of him towards the end of his. I mean,
Starting point is 00:23:00 that's what they looks like with the footage. Looks like he was first like carting him around to all these signings when he was exhausted and just kind of pushing him to the, yeah, it was bad. So I don't think that's going to go over very well. And then the other story I was talking about was Daredevil. I mean, the ratings are fine, but I don't think they have these kind of smashing ratings that they wanted.
Starting point is 00:23:20 The show's great. I really like it a lot. And this has been on a few seasons, though, right? Well, so it started on Netflix and then they took it off when, because there was a different producer on it. Kevin Feigy, it wasn't part of the MCU, all that. And then they were going to basically reboot it as almost the same kind of vein of She Hulk, a little bit more comedic. And then they were supposed to do like 18 episodes of it. And then they realized, let's not do that.
Starting point is 00:23:47 And it wasn't supposed to be tied into the Netflix universe at all. And then they decided, let's actually just do a continuation of it. So they reshot it. And then they made it more great. and dark and that's what they did. And so far, so far, I think it's,
Starting point is 00:23:58 I think it's the best thing Marvel's done in quite a while. I think so. I like it a lot. And I think you could probably watch it. And you won't get too lost if you watch it. You won't, you won't have the same emotional attachment. I don't even know if I've seen season three.
Starting point is 00:24:12 But anyway, it's, it's, you can, you can check it on. And then Lilo and Stitch had a live action trailer that came out today. Oh yeah, that looks fun.
Starting point is 00:24:21 I love Lilo and Stitch. I don't know. Are people, what are people thinking? about it. I don't know. I don't know. I mean, it just, it just came out. It just came out. Um, so I just know that I'm going to show Maisie my little one and I'll probably go and take her. I think that they're definitely aiming right at the little ones on that one. And I'm, I'm excited, uh, I'm excited for for her to have something to watch. So yeah, my kids loved it and I remember
Starting point is 00:24:46 watch. I mean, it was one of those ones that I enjoyed too. Um, and I, I saw a quick trailer for it. I thought it looked decent. You know, that was one of the last actually hand-drawn and painted animation that they did, you know, before they went to like digital. Yeah, that's nice. I know, I know things. You know things about things. Oh, is my one question, is this my one question that's come in so far?
Starting point is 00:25:18 Or is. Yes. No, you're going to know, actually you've got 20. You got 20. Well, I'll tell you what. Listen, this is what you need. You need about 63 more to tie Kalinowski and
Starting point is 00:25:29 Roxy. If you can do with yourself. They have anything to say about. I know, not a lot. No, Mike has nothing to say. Oh, they read articles and have cameras that kind of work. Well, yours looks better.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Mike's, Mike's is terrible. Yeah, I, it's so bad. You still have that camera. You still have a camera. I have them back and forth with him. And his setup is just, the way he's got his,
Starting point is 00:25:53 I don't know if the big camera would worth. I've got another, like, webcam that's nicer that I might be able to sit him up with. I think it's that. It's also whatever's got, the audience keeps telling him to fix the,
Starting point is 00:26:07 he's got something with the internet that he could fix, but he doesn't do it. And it's like he free, it's become a bit, but it's still annoying. Oh, he needs to get off. I think he's got dial up. That's, that's, maybe. Maybe so.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Maybe so. So, um, you're an AOL. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but I'll tell you that I mean, like I was saying with, um, Lilo and Stitch, I think that it's going to, I think it'll do well because I think, I think it's going to hit to all audiences and you can tell in the same way that Agatha, you know, I said, Agatha is aimed towards a certain demographic. And then the goal is always in business meetings. You aim at a demographic and then you make that thing really good. So the demographic, it stretches past the demographic and other people.
Starting point is 00:26:51 people want to see it. And I think that's what Lilo and Stitch could do because it's one of those things that could just be a big, if it's heartwarming and everything, especially for people who grew up with it. And it came out, wouldn't it come out in like early 2000s or something? Yeah. I mean, like I said, it was it was it was it was. It was not late young and he's 18 now. It's not aimed for everyone. It is that's it's the whole that's the whole point of of marketing. This is what they do in marketing. They say, who are we aiming at? first and foremost, and then who do we also hope to capture? That's every business meeting.
Starting point is 00:27:26 It's like, who's our number one? Is that Brandon? Brandon is just saying that everybody can enjoy animation. There's no one in this room that said any different than that. Of course, but this is also not animation. This is live action, and it is, the goal is that everyone will enjoy it. That's the whole point. But you want to market and make sure that families get in there and see it.
Starting point is 00:27:48 Because if you can get families and kids in there to see it, that's where you're going to make the majority of your kashish because there's nothing to see there's nothing to see for families very especially during summertime there's only a couple things so it is 1,000 percent aimed at families and children yeah with the intent that everyone will love it and they want everyone to love it it's not like this is only for families this is nothing's ever but yeah there's marketing and stuff market is of course it's always aimed towards a demographic first with the intent that you want to capture everyone because um that is that's the whole point. So this is a movie I think it's going to do very well with families and other people too. And the one that I'm very curious about is this snow white thing. Oh, yeah. Oh, wait, that's not it. Whereas let me get the snow white article up.
Starting point is 00:28:39 That's not snow white. That is not so. It should be in a second here. And that not it either. What the hell's going on? I can't find. that's not it either Brett see all right let me do let me find it hold on find the article hold on we'll find it there it is really this this ruined the whole thing everything about it okay
Starting point is 00:29:08 so rachel ziegler snow white is tracking for a 53 million dollar box office opening it's not really the story I wanted to talk about but we'll do it anyway um they're saying that this movie's going to track at 53, which Cinderella tracked it a little bit less than that. So, but at this one, this one costs like $200 million. Where is it? It's right around here. There it is. I'm so, all right.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Disney scales back, the snowyper. That's not it either. Where the hell is this fucking article? It's the one about, uh, they're taking, like, they're not doing as much press for it. Trying to see, here it is. I think I found it. no is that the one no i'm i'm losing my mind here brett i'm glad that you're on the show today because everything's going great now i got i bring the magic you bring the magic okay i finally found
Starting point is 00:30:03 this is all right here it is this is it this is the article i wanted to tell you guys about i have it i'm ready and seen okay disney is not going to allow press at snow white premiere following rachel Ziegler and Gallagandot controversies. Perhaps unsurprisingly, after the past few weeks, Disney has decided that Snow White won't receive a traditional premiere with the press no longer set to be a part of the usual splashy red carpet
Starting point is 00:30:30 event. Disney's Snow White remake arrives in theaters a little over a week from now, but the movie won't receive the typical red carpet treatment. According to Variety, while there will be a pre-party and screening the El Capitan Theater with Rachel Ziegler and Galgadot, no members of the
Starting point is 00:30:46 press have been invited to attend the premiere. That means there's no interviews. And perhaps, most importantly for Disney, no awkward questions. It sounds like, where is I missed, I missed something there? Yep. Instead, the plan is coverage to be limited to photographers and a house crew. It sounds like this surprising change comes as a result of the controversy surrounding Snow White. For starters, there's a fact that a Latina actress is playing the title character, a decision that faced backlash from the start. Ziegler, who obviously didn't deserve any of the racist abuse. She suffered, failed. to win over fans by calling the 1937 animated movie dated before comparing Prince Charming to a stalker.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage also called out Disney for telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, promptly the House of Mouse to replace them with a group of bandits deemed politically correct by online reports. More backlash followed and Disney changed course during extensive reshoots meant to bring the movie more in line with the original cartoon. As a result, seven dwarfs have returned and are now CGI. die. The controversies also extend to the evil queen actress, Gal Gadot, while Zegler has promoted Free Palestine and social media, her Israeli co-stars become an outspoken supporter of her home country. It's a tricky device issue, and one many press would likely ask her about. Back to Ziegler, and it wasn't that long that she was forced to apologize after making remarks about the American
Starting point is 00:32:05 people's decision to re-elect Donald Trump's president. It presumably means no press junket either, though Disney has still promoted Snow White, Ziegler, and Godot presented together with the Oscars while the cast and director Mark Webb have made a handful of appearances overseas. The Snow White Actors was also a guest in this past Monday's Good Morning America show, which airs on the Disney-owned ABC Network. What's going to be most interesting is how
Starting point is 00:32:26 Snow White performs with critics and at the box office. In the former case, there's no word on an embargo, but we bet on it being very close to movies release date. Snow White is a live action musical, yada, yada. Okay, now, how many of these? Did they say yada, yada, yada?
Starting point is 00:32:43 They did. there was a friend of my name Yada. I actually had a, I have a friend named Yada, Y-A-R-A-R-A-R-A-M-A-R-M-A-M-A-R-M-A-R-M-M-A-R-M-A-R-M-A-R-A-R-A-R-R-A-L-A-R-A-L-A-L-A-L-A-L-L-A-L-L-L-L-L-T-L-L-T-L-T-L-T-L-T-T-L-T-L-T-L-R-RU. Yeah, did you miss big balls? Oh, yeah. You did? You want to ask him a question?
Starting point is 00:33:16 Yeah, yeah. So what do you think I was up to this whole time, Big Balls? You didn't text me. Oh, no. I'm bored with you. You're bored. Hi. Oh, there he is.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Look at me. Oh, you're looking at the other way. Turn. Nope, wrong way. Nope. That way? Nope. Absolutely wrong.
Starting point is 00:33:36 What? I'm looking right at him. No, you're not. Keep going. There you go. Hi. That's the wrong way. Is that the way it looks to you?
Starting point is 00:33:43 Yes. Oh, good. Well, then my camera is mirrored a different way. Stretch behind. Oh, look. Oh, geez, man. That's right. Man, that's some fruit. That's right. He's got some fruit in those baskets. It's a baddudes, like a rotten apple from Snow White. Anyway, Snow White. Maybe if my camera was mirrored wrong. No, no, no. It happens to everybody. So what do you say about this? I mean, you think that this is going to be, this is going to be something like i think that it's been long enough since this happened that i think that you know i i think a lot of people have forgot about you know and and she did make a you know
Starting point is 00:34:31 statement about it and right and apologized for her what she said or something i mean there was there was some sort of am i correct yeah well she she came back and said something afterwards because you know there's all this big pushback um it just disney needs needs better PR and i think that they're finally par with this situation i think that they they finally did that with with this like if you're doing you got to understand that people are very much locked into these movies and are very much like hold a place in their heart for it so you got to be careful you can't go and say in the original he was a stalker and in this way like it it made it seem like you were just doing this whole entire movie and saying f you'd anyone who liked it whether it was your intent or not
Starting point is 00:35:18 yeah that's how it came up came across plus everything politically with what's going on it and i've said this many times over movies have become a battleground to represent both sides um and movies have always been political in nature with things that are happening but in the with social media and everything else too, it's been a representation for both right and left to be able to go after each other. Now the question again is, and again, I am telling you,
Starting point is 00:35:51 this is marketed. Got it. Motherfucking families. It's a snow white movie. Oh, okay. It's marketed towards families. It's a snow white movie, and they're going to hope to get people in there
Starting point is 00:36:04 to see it. And I don't think that those people are really paying attention to the controversies. Not at all. I don't, you know, we talked about this before,
Starting point is 00:36:16 but I don't think Joe Public is going, she said this about this. I'm not going to be, because of the love of this film, I think that's why most people will just blow that up. Because really what she did,
Starting point is 00:36:30 she didn't, she didn't like groom a kid or something like that. No, but I, but I do think, but like I said, though, I do think that she, It's this is the thing I always say about when it comes to movies and when it comes to things like this.
Starting point is 00:36:43 If you are making a $200 million movie no matter what your public, uh, political beliefs are, if you alienate the political side that you're not a part of it will hurt your business. It will hurt your business because you are because it's, I've always said if you're making a movie for $20 million dollars, $30 million and you're like, I don't care of those people to see my movie because it's not for them.
Starting point is 00:37:12 The $20 million and the $40 million that I hope to get back are aimed towards the people that I am making this, who line up with my beliefs. With $200 million, and you are not going to get that because it is a $200 million film and you need a majority of the audience to come see it. And it's a Snow White film.
Starting point is 00:37:32 So you have to be very careful when you're promoting your movie to not get political. It is like the same reason you don't bring up politics at a family dinner. You don't do it because people and especially when you're going to, you're trying to market towards people. So it's like you can't do that. And when you start to do that, people are going to, and for other movies and everything too, they're going to know they're ready for you and they're going to have their fists up.
Starting point is 00:37:59 And if you say one thing, they're coming after you. Yeah. So I think it's, and those people have families too. so they might say, I'm not taking my kids to go see this movie, even if the kids want to see. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:13 I mean, like I said, it's been a while since this. And again, Joe Public, I don't think is following this kind of stuff necessarily. And again, it's, you know,
Starting point is 00:38:26 people, people have memories like goldfish when it comes to this stuff. I think that your ilk of movie review and what have you remember this sort of stuff, but I don't think if I asked my mom or if I asked my wife about that she'd know.
Starting point is 00:38:44 And just not to go on a tangent, but if you're going to go hang out with family and you don't want them to talk politically, my wife's going to visit some family this weekend. Should you tell them up front, hey, can we not talk about politics this time or you just kind of hope it doesn't happen? No, it's true.
Starting point is 00:39:03 You just kind of hope it doesn't happen. I mean, sometimes depends, I guess it depends on who you're talking to and who you can actually discuss this with. But it's interesting that Disney decided not to do press, which I honestly think is a good idea. It's a good idea. Don't give an opportunity with the movie coming out in a week that someone asks and then they say the wrong thing or something or it's blown out of proportion or they get some kind of video clip because that's what they're worried about.
Starting point is 00:39:34 They're worried about the press. And then somebody asked a question and then that clip, like, look what happened with like Anthony Mackey right before Captain America comes out. He made a comment about Captain America not having to represent America and it, you know, it went viral. People went nuts about it. And it's not necessarily, it could have nothing to do why the movie didn't perform, but people could say that it did.
Starting point is 00:40:01 And you can also save your Disney. Let's not do any press right now at all because if there's one little thing that comes out, if someone asks about it, let's just go on the name of the movie. It's snow white. Let's put snow white out there. I'll tell you, I love Peter Dinklage. I think Peter Dinklage did a disservice to a lot of people because I think that Peter Dinklage gets to work because he's an incredible actor, right?
Starting point is 00:40:27 He's an incredible actor and he's so good and he gets a lot of opportunities that other little people don't get it. They don't get it. And you just took jobs away from them. And you might have been fighting the fight because you're like, oh, they should have more than doing than just being the seven dwarves. Well, there's somebody out there that could have gotten that job that might have been able to pay their bills and do it. And you wouldn't have CGI dwarves. You'd actually have.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Maybe there's someone that could have been the next Peter Dinklage who cut their teeth on that role that did well and then became the next Peter Dinklage. But Peter Dinklage made it possible for them not to get jobs. I love Peter Dinkler, but I think it was a bad move. So they weren't going to go with CG Dwar? Originally, they weren't. They weren't. And then I don't know. I don't really know.
Starting point is 00:41:18 There was a picture that came out that had them like regular size, but I don't know if that was actually real or not. So I can't speak on that, but I know they were going to do it. And then Peter Dinklis spoke up. They said, no, we can't do that. And then they made them like CGI dwarves instead. Oh, I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:41:34 Yeah, that's, uh, yeah, it kind of made something that he was saying wasn't good even worse, but yeah, I see what you're talking. I understand the notion behind it. I understand that like that's the only thing we can play is the seven dwarves. Yeah. Yeah. I understand that. I do. But by doing that and making such a big thing about it because of his power status, he took jobs away from people that probably might might not be working right now.
Starting point is 00:42:04 So this movie is just riddled with stuff. And a $54 million, whatever it is opening, the question is, what is it going to be and how is it going to do as far as review-wise? But I don't know. We'll see. I think it's going to do well. I honestly, like I said, I don't think opening weekend or consistently. That's where it's going to, because it's tracking for $53 million here in the States.
Starting point is 00:42:30 And it's got a 200 or something like that, 54, with a 2.4 million with a 2.5. million dollar budget it's got to have a good word of mouth and it's got to carry on it's got to do good internationally which is possible i i i just think i mean it's it's well one of the most widely known animated stories of all time i mean it wasn't it the first one that came out wasn't it it was it built it basically built disney yeah i think you can go to anybody on the street and say hey you you know have you heard of snow white and they So that's what I think it's got going for it. It's extremely well known.
Starting point is 00:43:10 Definitely. But I just think that, yeah, it's like, I don't know. I think it's got a lot. I do think that the controversy is going to hurt it. I think that it already is. I think that it's snow white and the fact that they were going to do it in a way that people are really excited about it. It'd be tracking for like a $75 million opening instead of tracking for something
Starting point is 00:43:28 lower. There's no excitement around it. This is no excitement around. I like Mark Webb directed. I just watched his amazing Spider-Man movies. Mark Webb. Anyway, that's it for those stories. We've got some more.
Starting point is 00:43:38 But before, I'm so pumped, guys. I love the fact, I got good news. Trade's going to be back for a bit. They're going to be on this show for a little while, and I'm so glad that they are. I have been locked in with trade. I love trade so much. Get out of water bottles.

Starting point is 00:48:31 See, it's like, look, you're like trying to catch up. You can at least lie and say you even watch on what's been happening. Oh, dude, I Denver miss an episode. I don't remember. I never watched an episode. I Denver it either. I went to, I went to Madison Square Garden with, with Sarah to go watch Monday Night Raw. They had a wrestler on carrying cross, who's a great guy, and he got his tickets.
Starting point is 00:48:54 And they were amazing seats. It was the best thing, because Sarah's not a wrestling fan. He never been to a wrestling event in his life, but he went because he's a big, he loves carrying across. So we went to, we went and there's this, there's a wrestler who I've talked about many times on the show called Jay Uso. And, um, and as I said in the same way, because people kept saying because the crowd went, I knew it.
Starting point is 00:49:18 The crowd went nuts when he, when he gets there. And people, and Brad Gilmore text me and goes, see, I told you, Jay Uso is over. I said, I never said this guy wasn't over. It means he's popular with the fans. So I never said that. What I said is he's not a main event guy. He can get people going nuts in the crowd. He didn't speak on the mic when he was a Madison Square Garden,
Starting point is 00:49:37 but he can get people going nuts. And he does this thing, Yeet and he has a whole crowd, he's going to like this. And I have a video of it. I'm going to post it. Matt, Sarah, Yeating. It is the best thing I've ever seen in my life. It's the best.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Yeeting. I recorded him. It's meat these days, right? Yeah, I guess so. And Yoink. Did you know that Yoink is the opposite of Yeat? that is and I don't believe that's a thing, but I could also believe that it is a thing.
Starting point is 00:50:02 Dude, send in 400 questions asking Christian whether or not that's a thing. Speaking of which, you got 24. That's not bad. That's not bad. 24. You got,
Starting point is 00:50:13 if you can, I mean, look, if you can get, if I, do you know how much satisfaction it would bring to me that if you could beat Mike and, uh,
Starting point is 00:50:21 Roxy on your first day back in like four months? That'd be great. Give me a break. Give me a break. You know what I do every time my kids say that? Do you throw references at your kids that you know they're not going to get? Oh, God. Yeah, all the time.
Starting point is 00:50:36 All the time. It was like, someone said, give me a break. And I go, you mean like, Nell Carter? Throw that in there. And nobody knows what the hell I'm talking. And my wife just looks at me disappointingly. Only old people know Nell Carter. Where did Nell Carter?
Starting point is 00:50:53 Where did they, was she? A good old Nellie. I'm sure she's passed on it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean. I mean, but we're probably the same age as Mrs. G, huh? Mrs. G.
Starting point is 00:51:05 At the same time. Same era, same era. But now the TV, the TV content has changed, right, Brett? Yep. Like, Stranger Things. Oh, boom, boom, transitions, Transitions. Well, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink joins Tom Holland and Spider-Man 4.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Well, she was rumored she was supposed to be in, uh, in X-Men as Jean Grey. So wait a minute. What the hell is happening here? Sadie Sink is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Stranger Thick Star has been cast in Spider-Man 4, which will share the screen with Tom Holland as the teenage web as the team, wait, hold on a second, with Tom Holland as a teenage website. He's not going to be teenager anymore.
Starting point is 00:51:44 He's 25 years old. It's going to be like the ridiculous. It's unclear who Sink will betray in the comic book adventure, though deadline, which first reported the casting news, hinted that her role be significant. The outlet also points, uh, point, poisted, sure, that Sink could play X-Muton Gene Gray, A character has been brought to the screen by past by Famca Jensen and Sophie Turner.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Let me fix this. Hold on. I'm going to fix this article. It's unclear who Sink will portray in the comic, although deadline, who got the story from Jeff Snyder, who posted this four months ago, reported the casting news that said it could potentially be Jean Gray. Character has been brought to the screen in the past. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures released the Spider-Mancentric films and the MCU couldn't
Starting point is 00:52:22 be reached for comment. I don't know why they do this. The trades love it. This is why anytime I get a story from anybody, I have, I have a story. hesitate to even break it because the trades don't take anybody serious. And even Snyder, who worked at the trades, it's been breaking things left and right. Snyder had this story out that she was supposed to play.
Starting point is 00:52:39 She was supposed to play Gene Gray, like literally like what we've been talking about on capes and cows forever, that she's supposed to be doing it. So it's interesting that if she first appears in Spider-Man 4, then they're really going to start kind of setting up the X-Men. But I'm sure you have a lot to say about that. Oh, man. I mean, I wrote,
Starting point is 00:52:58 specifically for the show I wrote a dissertation about this, but I know we're running in a time and we need to get to the questions. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, I mean, I'll just say I'm super stoked about it. And I, what's your favorite Jean-Gray story? Oh, when when she kind of disappeared into the ocean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They called her ocean face.
Starting point is 00:53:23 Yeah, yeah. Didn't she like what was the, how did she just disappear? some it was like she blew up into. Oh, you're thinking of X-Men 3. Yeah. I at least know who you're talking about. Yeah, it's true. The Famka Jensen, I thought you were just completely making it up. Your memory was able to grab at least a couple things from that. Steal trap.
Starting point is 00:53:44 That's still trap-a-roosk. Who did you play in the Shmona? You played, you played obviously Kevin Smith and you played Bonnie, right? Was that the only two you ever played? Bonnie, Kevin Smith. I thought there was a no well I did you he beat you right Kevin Smith yeah yeah then you beat Bonnie
Starting point is 00:54:05 I mean it was it was he barely he'd beat you back I beat myself up about some of the questions but it was the best that that promo to that Kevin Smith with a Kevin Smith fight was with as a flirt and floss was the absolute
Starting point is 00:54:22 but the fact that he played along with it said that he You didn't get him tickets to a show. Oh, he's, yeah. I mean, he knows what he's doing. Yeah, totally. He was great. But he also trusted us that, you know, he wasn't like, what the hell am I doing? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:37 Just went. I will tell you that I had a few celebrities around the show that were just like, well, I didn't do what. And then, and there was one that wasn't committing to the promo at all. But not Kevin, Kevin was, was. No, no, that's that. He definitely a pro. Like, to pitch that to some. but most people would go uh now that's that's totally insane yeah but he's like oh yeah i got it
Starting point is 00:55:03 yeah yeah i'll run with this he did it well um i think that's i think that's everything as far but as far as sadie sink goes it does show where they're going to go if she indeed does get cast as jean gray at which i love the casting if that is indeed where they go i think that that age range because when they finally maxed, she'll probably like 24 or something along those lines. Perfect. Perfect. And she's,
Starting point is 00:55:31 and she's really, she's a really good actress. So, um, there you go. That's, let's, we did it,
Starting point is 00:55:40 guys. We did it. Let's get into some questions, Brett, because that's what you're here to do. I know. I mean, I got about a hundred to go through so far.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Is that the 30? Um, but still, so you're just around, uh, 53 away. 53 away from 53 is that right or is it's
Starting point is 00:55:57 63 right? 53 right 53 right what did I say total of 80 total of 83 I think is what they got yesterday so yeah you're about 53 away from tying so good luck to you pretty much got this in the bag I think so
Starting point is 00:56:13 crashing coyotes go let's see so a streamer loses 200,000 subscribers and now it's news when the next show has less views with 200,000 less subscribers is almost one plus one equals two. I mean, I get it. It has less subscribers and sure,
Starting point is 00:56:28 but you'd also think a lot of times that if you lose the subscribers, that certain shows pick up subscribers. That's the whole notion of them in general. So, you know, it's not always one plus one equals two because you put, you also hope,
Starting point is 00:56:43 okay, look, if this is the show that I want to get some people back into and get those Netflix people who cared about it, let's do it. Right, Prip? Bingo. Yeah. Joe Rader.
Starting point is 00:56:56 And this is Rousseau's did great in the MCU, but everything else has been bad. Yet it seems being back with the MCU brings confidence and not concerned from fans and critics. Why? That is a great question. So essentially, Brett, it's like, you know, Civil War, well, Winter Soldier, Civil War,
Starting point is 00:57:13 Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame are considered by many people in the top tier of the MCU films, right? Russo's have directed all. Oh, yeah. now the roosters have directed a bunch of stuff on netflix and they have directed a bunch of things uh they just this new animated or not i don't know if it's animated i don't know what it i think it's animated with uh with um speaking of stranger things millie bobby brown and i think it's pratt i i can be making all this up but i think that that's what it is and apparently the reviews are not great and the question is well why they still have the confidence and why are the fans still have confidence in them if they haven't been doing stuff since then it rocus is the same thing i just feel like you know when it comes to maybe the other stuff this isn't their lane maybe this is their lane I don't know what do you think seems like their lane to me that's it that's all you got for
Starting point is 00:58:03 that I mean they made the best ones so so that's it that's it that's all I got Russo's baby what did she say Russo's baby the Russo's baby you know how they do I know how they do um we should just you know I was playing if if you would have been in here earlier without the camera fodder. I was just going to do one story and then I was just going to do a goofball show. But the people want my input. Yeah, they want to know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:58:32 When you come in on Wednesdays, if you decide you are going to start coming in on Wednesdays, I think that we're just going to do questions from the fans and just fuck around. Yeah, just go for it. You're worthless when it comes to me. I know how to get the camera to work this time. Do you hear what I just said?
Starting point is 00:58:47 Yeah, we'll just fuck around. No, you missed the last part. I said you're worthless when it comes to movie news. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I, I resent that you even say that. I am probably the, you know, listen, Christian, I pretty much am sure that I did not watch a single film last year. Not one. Not one.
Starting point is 00:59:10 We only watched television shows. I don't know what this paradigm shift in my household, but big, big news in the sheriff. and household you didn't watch the bob dillon movie didn't watch the bob dillan you'd love that movie no i i i don't know what it is it's just like we can't commit to it yeah just the i'm getting old and it's like i'm just gonna go bad it is true though i mean i if i'm not seeing them out in the mountain theaters it's harder for me to to go check them out um but i you know watching tv did you i forget did you you watch dexter no uh they they have a new helpful whether they have a prequel series um that's really good anyway uh nathan brett welcome back seems like a lot of people are pretty sure
Starting point is 01:00:01 superman could never do bad at the box office but superman returns didn't do very well it was a different time in 2006 it was before the whole marvel explosion and it was i mean they were still the x-men and everything had already been out in batman i think was the first one had just come out a year earlier, but wasn't the same. It didn't have that superhero explosion type thing. And Man of Steel really did better than people gave a credit
Starting point is 01:00:28 for. It's just because Marvel was getting closer to billion dollars every time they went out. They were comparing it to that and those numbers. Yeah, but it's different. It's way different now, especially with James Gunn at the helm. So, I don't know, what do you think overall about this?
Starting point is 01:00:45 Yeah, I mean, we're that's that's apples to oranges I mean, you know, it's it's basic it's basic theoretical math science. Which ones Batman returns? He's talking about superman. Is that one of the old ones or one of the new ones? Is that
Starting point is 01:01:03 no, it's fine, don't worry about it. Is that the one that Stockman blew up on me because I said, why did you see a film three times if you didn't like it the first time? No, that was that was the dark night rises I think no no I think it was the Superman it was a oh man of steel man of steel yeah that would it okay uh Nathan Drake was also thinking about Batman or Superman
Starting point is 01:01:29 critics panned it and a lot of fans were divided on it yet it made over 800 million did it make that much very well could could have um but yeah I mean I don't know I don't know it's it's they're really it's the box office is going to be a huge conversation for that movie when it comes out in July. And we have one of our members, go pal. I hope Brett's technical issues worked themselves out. He did. I knew Brett would get it. It was my, I'd say we're not going to see him until next week. But Brett, Brett, I knew we'd be able to. None of these people live near me. That's the crazy thing. It's like everybody lives 45 minutes away from me in either direction. So you know, you know that Brett calls me for technical support all the time. They call me yesterday for it.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Most ridiculous. Winston's looking. Winston's is probably better, right? He's better lighting. He's getting it. Coy somehow and now has, Roxy's setup is still the same thing. Roxy has a good set,
Starting point is 01:02:27 but it's the same thing. It's the same thing. It's the same thing. Right now, I'd probably rank, let's see what the audience thinks, but I would rank strangely enough, probably Koi and Roka
Starting point is 01:02:37 probably right around the same. Maybe Rokke a little higher because we've got a better setup. Yeah, you'd hope Roku. He's got a better microphones. I was Roka number one. and then Koi's probably number two strangely enough. I don't step's going to fix her lighting and everything too.
Starting point is 01:02:51 Steph's Mike is good. So Steph's probably in there too around the same angle is a little goofy. Mike's absolutely the worst. I mean, there's no, there's no doubting. Mike's absolutely the worst. I think that if they fix some of the stuff with Winston's lighting, we got it with it.
Starting point is 01:03:05 She's not an iPhone 4 with dial-up. Maybe. It's pretty bad. Go, pal. I like Brett's car building show too. Oh, thank you. Yeah, that was a lot of fun. So what Brett never does, and I'll tell you guys to do it now, make sure that you guys go over to the channel of the studio that he's in right now.
Starting point is 01:03:23 Aubboard TV. A Bobboard TV. Give him the big plug. Bobboard TV. Yeah, if you want to check those out, those were called Middle-aged Wasteland. There were four of them. And it was about my buddy and I building a kind of what you would call it a, you know, post-apocalyptic Mad Max. kind of vehicle in the middle of South Dakota and all the the comedy that ensued.
Starting point is 01:03:49 I'm on a podcast here called Everything's a Game every Wednesday. A new one drops or just dropped a few minutes ago. So after this, check it out. You didn't give enough opinions to plug that long. Oh, I didn't get enough opinions. Oh, okay. I'll do it for the next one. All right. Simon's section. Brett, I missed you, man. I missed your Anaconda snake. Okay, that came out wrong. I meant your impression. of Angelina's debt would pay real money to see you do a karaoke song of Jane's Child. I don't want to fall in love.
Starting point is 01:04:18 Did you ever do? Do you do Jane's child? I don't know who Jane Child's. Is that the singer of that song? I don't know. But I guess so. So you don't know who that is. So maybe I,
Starting point is 01:04:30 because you don't know who it is, I definitely paid. The song sounds familiar. Okay. Well, thank you for that. And now we have to get Brett to do that. Go pal.
Starting point is 01:04:39 Rewatch some of undeclared recently. I forgot Amy Poehler was on it. And Jenna Fisher, shows up once. I don't know she was on that either. I like Amy Poller a lot. Oh, yeah. This one.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Corn Emperor. Brett. There you go. Thank you. Screaming at Brett. Go pal. Brett's got the Abbey Road reverb going on. He certainly did.
Starting point is 01:05:00 He fixed it, though. Oh, yeah. Fixed it. And Gopelt finishes and says, also, I forgot how much of a crush I had on Kate Town, Robert Town's daughter and Charlie Hunnam's then wife during undeclared guests in one episode. Go, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:05:13 how you find the time dude go pel and has like i said this yesterday gopal would have been amazing on uh the schmodeau it's so good simon section part two but anacana style but this time you replace the word knife with the word snake the chorus version also forgive me christian don't want to sound fisckey how are your relatives in nebraska doing i don't have me oh sound frisky with me but everybody's uh doing well i don't i mean it was there was a little snowing in nebraska um mom was trapped in the the house for a few days but all good okay everybody's safe oh yeah oh yeah marmada brett came in from the phantom zone brett's approaching 40 uh questions here there you go look at that brett i hope brett is in the new anaconda movie do you know that they're remaking it oh you're kidding me oh they are
Starting point is 01:05:59 remaking an anaconda movie i swear wouldn't that be great if i could just have one line yeah it'll be amazing get the best people on that one armada actually heretic might be too much of a heady movie reaction you could probably do companion instead well that's what i talked to roxy about there's this that the companion reaction ate shit on um on on on on the real rejects that i didn't it just didn't do very well on that channel so they didn't do well in that channel so it's gonna eat it's gonna eat shit on my channel um so let's say old man mike there he is i'll say this tech issues not so easy is it jack Mirzum.
Starting point is 01:06:43 Welcome back, Brett. How is everything? Great. Wonderful. I got to answer some more MCU questions before I can plug another big thing. You can answer another one in a second. Simon, section, Christian, any chance you might show Sam any dare double footage before you see No Way Home. Because like Winston, she might not buy this blind lawyer catching a brick out of nowhere
Starting point is 01:07:03 and not retain any damage. Give her more credit than that. She understands what world she's in now, and she'll ask me, you know, probably when we're watching her. watching it. She would wait, how do you do that? And then I can explain to her. Um, she doesn't need to see a whole bunch of footage in order to do it. I mean, there's just, there's just two and there's three and a half seasons of dare double that I can't. We, we haven't even started. We, we were trying to get four episodes in this week. Um,
Starting point is 01:07:30 and of other other stuff. So anyway, so what is that? What's, did you say that? That's for if I answer enough questions. I get a pitch. Oh, okay. You want to talk about that now? All right, we can talk about that now. Oh, we can talk about it now. Yeah, where you're going to plug? Because that's the only thing I wanted you to plug. Oh, sorry. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:07:47 It is the, it is, it is, man, what, what is the shot? I got my belt hanging. I can scoot it up. Do you see my impression of Paul Giamatti is Batman? No. My motherfucking Batman. Just, that's just, that's all you need. That's it.
Starting point is 01:08:06 That's it. That's it. That's it. Um, stupid. All right, here we go. This is. Play it again. I'll play it again again a second.
Starting point is 01:08:15 But hold on. Before we do that, let's do this. All right, go ahead. Tell us what do you got here. So in 2009, I started a YouTube channel, never used it. But ladies and gentlemen, the Brett Sheridan channel is going to be coming at you full force.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Little hint of what's going to be going on in the background. One of the main shows I'm going to be starting to review and old albums that my wife wants me to get rid of, but I don't want to. I'm also going to be talking some of my old retro equipment that I also don't want to sell. So help me watch my show and help me make some money with the
Starting point is 01:08:52 stuff that I love so I don't have to sell it for food. Is there a link for the channel yet? Yes, I should probably send that to you. You should put that in the comment. I still don't have a banner. I created my emails. You know how ambitious I am about this,
Starting point is 01:09:12 and how stoked I am, I created an invoicing email for people to be on this. Oh, perfect. You got to do it. I was like, I'm going to put it. I'm putting it out there. It's like the, it's like the Jim Carrey right in the check thing. I'm, I'm, now I've put it out there. Now I have to make these.
Starting point is 01:09:33 I have a question and you can, you can, or I can, but, but should I do a live show for my first one to kind of help mold this or do I just pop them out? The audience will tell you yes to do a live show first, but I would say no. I would say you do a review. You do a couple of the reviews first, anywhere between eight to like 12 minutes. Do the reviews, do the things, get it going and then build up to live stream so you can get an audience. And then once the audience is locked in and watching, then promote your live show. Perfect.
Starting point is 01:10:03 That's my advice. Doing it. Hey, I'm not, I don't know if you don't know shit, but I usually will take your advice when it comes to these things. well Mike Joyce says I got to know Brett's thoughts on Justin Beldonie and Blake lively are you paying attention man I mean this is like I've been locked in locked in and you know it's like one second I'm thinking I don't know in the next minute I'm like get out of there um there was some uh they did they don't they've got some bad blood right there's some bad blood between the two of them no she she left Ryan Reynolds from
Starting point is 01:10:40 Oh, that's a They're going to be They're eloping Ooh, yikes Yeah Huh Yeah I thought that was she was having issues
Starting point is 01:10:49 With somebody on set of something They just decided to call it quits Hmm Yeah And then but now he's dating Alainis Morris setting it man Yeah Oh
Starting point is 01:10:59 Yeah they got together Yeah It's good stuff Good stuff I got to know Brett's thoughts on Baldoni versus live Oh yeah yeah Dude
Starting point is 01:11:10 I can't believe that happened. I know. It's nuts. Look it up. Corn Emperor Christian, ask Kevin Smith. He talked about it. I think he's talking about the Stanley stuff. I haven't talked to Kevin in a bit.
Starting point is 01:11:20 I'd like to see him when he's in jerseys. I told him I was going to come out there. I want to get him to sign that jersey that he has from the Shemona. Go pal. Brett, have you seen Go from 1999? Just watched her on Christmas and it still holds up. I mean, you know, family circles for 25 years. Yeah, that one.
Starting point is 01:11:38 That's before. Before Brett saw kids. before you saw kids before he had kids um he used to see movies all the time yeah that was that was one of my faves i remember yeah great soundtrack too i'd be like that's one of those like super fun great sound like shows it is a good one simmons section brett christian brett says he's he brings the magic so where's okay i can't spell his name is a flirtin he was a legend in the covid wars we need him now or at least his assistant i have some ideas um you know brett speaking as the flirtin macy's been listening to this
Starting point is 01:12:10 this kid's music thing, Go Banana Go. And there's like this German song, or this guy speaking in German, whatever. And everyone's like, it sounds like Flaus, just singing. Flous has to be like top five characters of all time
Starting point is 01:12:28 created during any Shmows, no thing, right? Oh, I sent that to the, our person that does thumbnails and she's used it on multiple thumbnails just a picture of me with the tongue. Yeah, I was like, here's a goofy one for the middle-aged wasteland. Oh, the best.
Starting point is 01:12:48 Nathan Stowe. Brett, what do you think of the Anaconda remake? I can't, I mean, I hope it's super fun. And I hope it doesn't take itself seriously. Because if it does. I can't imagine. It's tough to capture that magic in a bottle. What's that stupid sound that just happened?
Starting point is 01:13:06 Lightning in a bottle. Magic in a bottle. My choice. Brett, thoughts on the. llama drama at the bolorama. Are you my mama? Yeah, there you go. Remember that one?
Starting point is 01:13:17 Yeah. Children. I think I heard it from Obama. Okay. Top Dog, RLJ. Christian and Brett, which always make me smile. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:13:27 Thank you for the 14 czar. That's right. Support from Nathan. Go, pal. It was so sad when the chief died. Didn't he get swept away in a flood and give me a break? Oh, give me a break. That's just talking about El Carter.
Starting point is 01:13:39 I don't remember the show. show well enough. I just remember Nell Carter. I couldn't tell you anything else about that show. Can you remember? Do you remember anything else about that show? Yeah, I don't. Was she like a nanny to a family or something? She was a nanny or something. Yeah. But I can't, I don't, that's all I remember about it. I don't remember anything about that show. I couldn't tell you.
Starting point is 01:13:56 Anyone else I was in that show? So Nell Carter. Armada, can Brett give us a random show recommendation? Oh, yeah. He's probably watching some ridiculous. Oh, have you guys heard about Penguin Times 2? Yes. Yeah. Okay. Good.
Starting point is 01:14:12 That's it. That's right. That's a good improv. That's the one where they do a deep fake AI version of Emmanuel Lewis, right? Yeah, it's Emmanuel Lewis and there's a, it's a live action. Right. Where one of the penguins is animated and one of the penguins is CG. Okay.
Starting point is 01:14:34 And then the little twist in the end is then a live actual penguin as in. then yeah, penguin. Have you seen a penguin? What's his name? Johnny penguin. Yeah. Oh, God, my brain still works so good. Just let it. Dr. Strange. Eric, number of my ex-prober, penguin. Go pal. Sadie's Firestar from Spitey's Amazing Friends.
Starting point is 01:14:59 Also possible, but I think the, uh, the Gene Gray is going to wind up being truth. Simon section references, your children won't know. So they tell you to give them a break and you respond. No Kit, can't. for you what would be their response which one is that see I'm just a commercial maybe no kit cat for you no I think that's something else
Starting point is 01:15:17 no soup for you is is uh is Seinfeld but I don't know which one that's from but yeah I don't know what they would do what they always do they just ignore me narcolepsy 27 what would you do for a Klondike bar that's a good one too I don't ever hear that anymore do they still have oh yeah my my kids love them that's everyone
Starting point is 01:15:37 bring a bunch in yeah I know I didn't know they still made them. I mean, here's him. Support for the lovely Brett. You know, lovely Brett. Spencer. Will John Voight cameo in the new Anaconda movie? Maybe.
Starting point is 01:15:48 Better hope so. I really hope that he does. I would be amazing if he did. I hope he just runs the whole thing again. Andrew Kravulka. Which show do you like more? Friends or How I Met Your Mother? For me, it's friends.
Starting point is 01:15:59 I don't think I've really seen more than two episodes of How I Met Your Mother. I don't know. I mean, I never really watched any of them too much. so they're they're kind of even for me uh let's see slen 182 you and sam should watch the extended edition of no way home it's eight minutes longer and it has a different post credit scene instead of the the trailer interesting i didn't know that it's good to know um mike kellanowski just texted what's he's saying now um oh he might not be able to make it okay tomorrow Mike come on yeah well he's gonna he's gonna show me and stuff it's fine I like stuff better than Mike anyway
Starting point is 01:16:36 Um, okay. Next one and we're 44, Brett, boom, not bad. I'm in for that goofball show of Christian Brett. That would be awesome. Laughter and goofballery is good for my sanity. It's a good way to bring it back.
Starting point is 01:16:49 It's been gone for like two or three years. PLD project is about time. Brett showed up. I love this team. Hey, PLD. Thanks, uh, Screwface John coming in hot.
Starting point is 01:16:58 Brett, I'm from Nebraska. Where are you folks at? Where are your folks at? Ah, I'm not docs in my. It's a pretty pretty big place. You don't see what part of it?
Starting point is 01:17:10 You don't see what part of it? No, my hometown is very small. Yeah. What big place is? We're close to Omaha, about half hour away from Omaha. Omaha's the big city. Yeah. There you go.
Starting point is 01:17:20 I'm not that screw's face John's going to do anything, but I don't, you know, I'm very protected. I understand. Yeah. DJ Case, 10 memberships. Thank you, DJ Case. Good time to be a member. Good time for DJ Case to gift you.
Starting point is 01:17:34 I just put the Spider-Man 2 unedited version up today. And I have so many, I'm going to put the Avengers up there. I have so many ones in the chamber ready to go. So Armada, are you showing Sam the Vettom movies before No Way Home? I thought about it and then I realized I like myself too much. No. That bad. No.
Starting point is 01:17:58 I've always wanted to go. I think you said once you, that you think I might like them because they're very 90s kind of. They're very 90s. They're not that bad. They're just not good. They're not good. And I like Tom Hardy a lot.
Starting point is 01:18:15 And I still, I find myself screaming, I'm Venom! I get a kick out of venom. But I'm not going to, because if I thought people were actually going to sit down and watch it with us, but I'm not going to do it with seven people watch it. Yeah, if everybody hates it. But if nobody watches it, I don't care anybody hates it.
Starting point is 01:18:31 Nobody watches it. It's like, because here's perfectly, everybody's telling me to, I had to watch Squid Game. I have to watch Squid Game. You'll love it. The answer to that is I do love it. I've seen two episodes.
Starting point is 01:18:41 You've got to do the reactions to it. Three people watch that with me when I watch it. And I granted it's season one and it's long gone by now. But it was like, but I have to finish it because I told everybody I would. But it's like nobody was, nobody watched those things movie. So you've only done a couple?
Starting point is 01:18:58 I've done two or three so far and I have to do. I love it. It's great. I just I and the thing is because I told the audience I would I would finish it I haven't been able to watch it because I just haven't it it's a lower priority for me as far as the videos go as far as why I want to watch the whole thing yeah I want to watch long you're right it's been too long and it's season one season one is season two I feel like maybe more people watch but I'm gonna try to catch up and get it to see to season three and see if that works out but we'll
Starting point is 01:19:26 see um hobby race I enjoy your reactions with Sam well you consider watching the X-moves after your spider oh that's that's already locked in dude we're already we're that's that's part of that's part of the docket sam is going to be busy on this channel for the rest of the year because we have no way home coming up now um then we're going to do the spiderverse movies and then after the spider verse movies we're not doing x-man next we're doing um we're going to go back to the emce you're going to watch wandivision you're going to watch the rest of the movies and then get to then get the X-Men movies after that, because then I have a whole bunch of other movies in there
Starting point is 01:20:06 that she's never seen Inception. She's never seen a lot of these movies. So we're going to be busy for a bit. Yeah, she hasn't seen shit. Top Dog, RLG. Thanks for sharing Sam with us. She's the best. She is.
Starting point is 01:20:19 You haven't met Sam yet, have you, but. No, but I love that she went on that tech call, that she was all that thought that's what it was. She was literally right. So basically what happened yesterday is that right before Sam and I start shooting far, far from home. The, the camera wasn't, I couldn't adjust the lighting on the camera. And I'm like, I'm moving with them, fussing with it, all this stuff.
Starting point is 01:20:42 And it seems like, it's probably just that wire right there. Because now I tried that already. So she's like, you sure is yes. I call Brett. And I said, you know what? As I'm calling Brett, I'm like, let me double check as I'm calling him. Brett picks up and I adjusted it. And I said, bye, Brett.
Starting point is 01:20:55 It works. Oh, Sam was right. Go pal. If Brett's seen go, can we get an abbreviated, Brett to the future review. Well, it's been a long time. But I would give it, I'd give it a, how did I use to score? I'm negative.
Starting point is 01:21:11 I don't remember. I'd give it a negative, negative 10, right? I did an opposite of, I don't know, but it, I just, it was, it was fun. I don't know if it would. Do you think it holds up? I'd have to see it. I haven't seen it so long. I haven't seen it since, I, no, you know what, I did own it.
Starting point is 01:21:30 That's how much I liked it. I had it on the digital video disc. Well, GoPel follows up. I remember Nell Carter, the dad died tragically, and there was a Russian roulette episode. Whoa. I believe that. I mean, I believe him. Gopal, gopil, I believe.
Starting point is 01:21:43 If he says it's true, it happened. Armada, Dagnino and Lisa Ann are doing a sports podcast now. I really hope that's true. He would have told me if it was, but that would be amazing. And please tell me that's true. please tell me that's true I haven't spoken to him in a while but if that please tell me that's true
Starting point is 01:22:06 I don't know what porn star um lovely and that's that's the only reason why I think he just played he just played a porn star in a movie like in a so there's a possibility that he met her wow
Starting point is 01:22:21 so that's the only reason why I take that potentially serious tell me how how in the world did you find that out and are you just fucking with me which is fine because we just did a whole entire show just told you that that that that Blake lively and Ryan Reynolds no longer together I think Brett still believed it until five seconds ago. Wait you you thought that was real stinker I got you. DJK support thank you DJKs DJK support you and more DJKs
Starting point is 01:22:52 support for Brett and the journey to 300 questions in seven to 10 weeks He's at 10 weeks. He's at 55. He needs 30. He needs 30 to beat Roxy and Mike. I think he can do it. And I'm at 13 subscribers on my channel. Oh, I want to subscribe. Nice.
Starting point is 01:23:09 Darth Vader's burnt asshole. Word is that Daredevil reshoots aren't as big as we thought. Two and three were originally where it started in episode one was the big change. Showrunner was talking about it. Okay. I liked three. I liked three a lot. I really like three.
Starting point is 01:23:24 Did you know what Darth Vader's ass? asshole said to me with burnt asshole burnt asshole Mike Joyce what does Brett think of the latest UAP news oh bro dude they are back baby they are in charge of a p yeah never left um what is the new new uh you we don't have to go into it if you don't want to but yeah this I mean this there's always new news you'd follow down to earth of Christian Harloff oh yeah I should check that now pascal 420 hey guys and and Warner brothers Brett what was your go-to ice cream truck purposes purchased. Mine were toasted almond, yum, chip,
Starting point is 01:24:00 candy, crunch. I used to get the WWE wrestling ones in the Super Mario bars. Vanilla with chocolate coating and chocolate. I always got the ones with the gum eyeballs, no matter what it was. I can't think of the characters at the time, but it's something that had like was a character. I always like that goes.
Starting point is 01:24:16 You finishes up chocolate bar in the middle. Marino's Italian Isis. You did do the flip, right? Flip the ice over to get to the sticky syrup on the bottom and a chipwich. Chipwich, chip which I used to get quite a chip which. you get it cold right on a hot day.
Starting point is 01:24:30 Oh, pretty good. Frozen Fruitball. Sydney Hogarth. Great to see Brett. Seen havoc. Moblin trailers. I haven't seen them yet, and I'm waiting. I'm waiting to see the movie.
Starting point is 01:24:43 I like, if I'm not reacting to trailers, I don't really watch trailers too much anymore. I watch the little and sit because I was going to talk about it today. But I like, because I know I'm going to see the majority of them, and I like to go into movies not knowing anything, especially. I wish I didn't.
Starting point is 01:24:56 watch the sinners trailer. I really wanted to see that movie. Now I know the whole damn movie. And I, and I hate that I saw it. I hate that. I hated that. I hated the trailer that, because it gave away stuff. I didn't hate the trailer itself. The movie looks great, but I hated, I hated that trailer as far as how much it gave away. Nerds Engage. Detailed description of the genius behind dumb and dumber and kingpin. Do you understand that? I don't. Detail description of the genius behind Dumb and Dumber and Kingpin. I'm sorry. Are they both made by the same people?
Starting point is 01:25:34 I don't think so. I don't understand that one. I'm sorry, buddy. Simon's section. Brett, I have to ask you because you and Mrs. Brett may have a life stuff that you have to do outside the hat. Have you seen Paradise? Yeah, Paradise is everybody's talking about this damn show Paradise. Paradise. It's the one with, who's the dude from, from this is us. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:25:58 I can't remember. What's his name? Oh, my God. From This Is Us? Yeah. Old, what's his face? No, not Craig T. Nelson. This is a tragedy.
Starting point is 01:26:10 I'm not Craig T. Nelson. Oh, Jonathan, Taylor Thomas. Definitely. Sterling K. Brown. Sterling K. Brown. Yeah. And, and. Paradise.
Starting point is 01:26:21 And it's a game show? No, no, no. It's like a science fiction kind of drama, I think. Um, so she really good. Yeah. Go pal. I visited Omaha once for a friend's wedding. That weekend was a drunk as ever been in my life two nights and
Starting point is 01:26:34 row because that's the only thing to do in Nebraska, right? Yeah. Yeah. Armada. I'm bullshitting. Oh, damn it. He's bullshitting about the podcast. I realize, there's, there's, there's, I want, there's so much stuff I wanted to be true.
Starting point is 01:26:47 And that is the top of the list. So that would be the perfect podcast. I'm toying with my emotions. I know. How great. Now I want that podcast to happen. I want that podcast to happen. want to produce a podcast now with Lisa Ann and Dagnino.
Starting point is 01:26:58 It's the perfect combination. You're casting genius Armada. Tom Hill. Then I had an eight hour hangover layover in Milwaukee. That's rough. That's rough. Yeah. Airplane hangovers are not.
Starting point is 01:27:09 That's not good. Paul Marquez. We miss Brett. I'm here. Yeah. And right now, now you might pull a step, but this is the last one for now.
Starting point is 01:27:19 Okay. Go, pal. Greg T. Nelson is the evil client from the devil's advocate. He sure is. That I remember. That I remember. and he's also the bad guy in Action Jackson. It's the main bad guy in Action Jackson.
Starting point is 01:27:32 Oh, of course. Yeah, I know Craigie T. Yeah. Okay, listen. So this is how it went down in the past, Brett. Okay. So what happens is this only happened, I think, with Steph, but twice. Right before we're about to sign off, she was considerably out of the lead. And then the audience wouldn't let her sign off.
Starting point is 01:27:53 They kept asking questions. And then she wound up like, crushing it and winning it. So you were at 62 right before we're going to sign off, but Paul Marquez comes in and says, we miss you, Brett. Gregory Dobbs says, cheers, Brett. Good to see both of the cool studios. Thank you. Which Brett designed both. Simon section, Craig T. Nelson, he's Secret Service, not a coach, yes. And then Paul says, welcome back. Thank you. So audience, again, not letting you go. Sixty-five. So if they can get you,
Starting point is 01:28:25 you to push you to 20 more you come back and you win. But I'm sure they're clamoring to know what kind of show I'm going to do for my channel. Maybe ask me that. Didn't you say that? Did you shoot that link in the thing? I did. I put it in there and I'll put it in the description. But Victor
Starting point is 01:28:41 Gerady, hey Brett, tell Christian about Arunza. Oh, Ranzas, man. It's like a little meat pocket. It's breaded. I make them myself, actually. I make a healthier version. But yeah, it's got cheese, ground beef, cabbage, so good. Not even that anymore.
Starting point is 01:29:00 I'm back on my diet. Paul Hitchcock, excited about the new peanut butter trilogy coming to Prime? Oh, yeah, that's the, that's the, or is it a Paul Blart? Is that Paul Blart trilogy? I guess. It's my favorite. People abbreviate all the time. I think it's Paul Blart.
Starting point is 01:29:19 Do you think there? Yeah, because they made two, maybe they're going to have a third one come out on Prime. That's my guess. I do not. I do not think. I think you know who's going to be in it. I think peanut butter is a better guess. Yeah, Craig T. Nelson.
Starting point is 01:29:34 Go, pal. Do you remember the sculpture they had to digitally remove from Devils Advocate? No. What do they have to digitally remove? Tell me, tell me. Did it have a weans on it or something? Maybe. Okay, let's say, Paul Hitchgo, weans.
Starting point is 01:29:49 Yeah, the new P.B. Amazon children, pay boys, big boys do, right, for business. Pegboys 3 never again. Okay, one more time. That was the best. I can't wonderful callbacks. I tell you, I will go back. For people who don't know what the hell he's talking about,
Starting point is 01:30:03 go into, there's a playlist on the channel and it's called the hardest times ever laughed and watch the Pegg Boys one. It is the funniest damn thing that I ever, that was, that was, you remember the line that got me? Do you remember the line that broke me?
Starting point is 01:30:19 Ready for action. Oh, open for business. Open for business. that i'll go back i revisit that but i revisit the santa claus one often and then mrs garrett those are the office one of my faves was roxy saying you know the show's you know made for kids so and she paused and i go so it's harder to masturbate too oh yeah yeah people yeah people were like if you were like why would you say that yeah the other one was what the hell was the other one oh um what he do
Starting point is 01:30:54 connie oh conier was a good one no we said mrs garrett the right mhm ms garret yeah i think it was mrs g yeah they called her filthy g oh and the monsters
Starting point is 01:31:06 monsters oof monster okay so here's one go pal there was some sculptures they didn't get proper rights for and had to take it out the second pressing the DVD oh man somebody's getting fire for that
Starting point is 01:31:18 this is one I miss Nathan stow hey we're all ring Oh. The surface or Tom's penis. Now, do you remember what movie that's from? That, oh, now that you ask me, it spies like us? Nope.
Starting point is 01:31:33 Hey, Ra Raring. Zach Dauphist or in his lab coats. That's the only thing I can think of. Golly. Do you remember who delivers it? It's John Candy. Right. John Candy and it's Schitts Creek, who I can't think of his name.
Starting point is 01:31:52 I'm right. Splash. Splash. God dang it, a bunch of writhing demons or something. Interesting. Which then Mearsum says, Go, Brett,
Starting point is 01:32:01 go. Brett, you are, you are 10 away from winning this thing. Kill me. Well, not winning the week, but at least beating them yesterday.
Starting point is 01:32:08 10. Victor, Jherty, I sent you a super chat before letting you know my wife got pregnant that after Joy mode. The kid is now hearing his nickname is,
Starting point is 01:32:18 nickname a nine. Nicked him big balls. My wife was so confused. Thanks for all you do. Thank you, Victor. And congratulations. I don't know if that's true or not, but if it is true,
Starting point is 01:32:27 it's an amazing story. Bradley Butler, my wife and I are watching Sopranos for the first time. It's been delightful to see young Gandalfini and Daredevil. Have a great day, wise guys. Yeah, his son is in Daredevil and Born and Gunn, I love him in it.
Starting point is 01:32:43 He's so good in it. Yeah, I'm glad that you guys are watching that for the first time. Both are you watching it for the first time? That's cool. Yeah. Support from DJ Case. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:32:53 Support again, DJ Case. Andrew Kvalka. Are you looking forward to the Hans Zimmer and Friends movie? What's your favorite Hans Zimmer score? I have a lot. I mean, my favorite is definitely, you know, it's like time. But I actually, my favorite score in general, I'll tell you, my favorite album that I like to listen to is him live.
Starting point is 01:33:12 His live stuff. I actually liked Time Live is a great piece of music. But I just saw him in concert once, and it was amazing. But favorite score of me, Theception is pretty damn good. I have to go through a ton of them. But that's, that's probably my favorite piece of music.
Starting point is 01:33:30 Brett doesn't know. Brett doesn't know. Peg boys too, ready for Pegg. He was, he was good at that one. Corn Emperor. Anyone we can get Kate on.
Starting point is 01:33:37 I miss her dearly. The problem with Kate, um, is that she's working, she works all the damn time during during this time. Yeah. It's just too hard. You know,
Starting point is 01:33:49 um, day nap. Or how long has it been since you had a whole large pizza by yourself. It's hard for me to crush eight slices and not feel guilty about myself, like eight slices, especially in New York pizza. I haven't really done it. I've gotten close.
Starting point is 01:34:02 I've knocked out five or six with people looking around going where's the rest of it. I could, but I hold back at this point. Right. My wife, like, and then, grand, forgive me, but the kids like it, we got dominoes and she almost killed an entire medium thin crust. She's like, there's not that much. She's right. And I'm like, no.
Starting point is 01:34:25 It's like that. But I'll tell you, Brett's coming here to visit hopefully in April, right? Yeah, yeah. You know, we're going to go, you know, that pizza place that I took you to the barata slice. Yeah. Sarah is in love with it. And they open one near his, near his house. And now he's like friends with the owners.
Starting point is 01:34:43 Oh, yeah. Jake, Occuado. What's up, Jake? My favorite idiots. Love you, Brett. There you go. Jake loves you. Corn Emperor. Brett's the next to do the rewatch, DCEU.
Starting point is 01:34:55 Well, we did talk about it. When Brett comes here in April, he's going to do some movie reactions with me for sure. So we'll do, we'll find one or two because we did as good as the element element. And we did the monsters too. Yeah. I didn't even realize it. You know what? Hey, Luke, do we add the monsters reaction to that playlist?
Starting point is 01:35:19 and did we we should do shorts for that we should do a few shorts for yeah cut some shorts on that well my two million plus uh uh reaction to the elemental trailer is oh yes
Starting point is 01:35:32 still the biggest it's hilarious um all right so you got Brett you're tied right now you're tied with Mike and Roxy good job uh day and Amber Brett what's your last tool purchase
Starting point is 01:35:44 tool purchase I bought a crimping tool for Ethernet cables i've been putting ends on ethernet cable cables i'm i swear to god if you beat if you beat mike and if you win the whole week i'm gonna be very excited gregory dop christian make me number eight i like venom i know it's not going to get a commentary i know this should of one with spider man elements and venom's in venom yeah i know look like i like i said i didn't i like for me i think i like the third one even better than the first one i'm i know that it's i'm on an island but it would probably go i think one's the better movie, but I enjoyed three more. So it'd be like one and three and three and then two.
Starting point is 01:36:22 But I just don't know if we watch those if anyone's going to care. I mean, maybe I'm wrong. I just don't know. Corn Emperor. Woohoo. Brett, we watch. Yeah, that's going to happen. Go pal. Brett, what kind of guitar does your son play? It's very sweet. He plays my old epiphone, which was a lower end model of the Gibson, but like he's tried other guitars and borrowed from people who goes, no, I like, I like this one. So it kind of warms my heart that the kid plays it. And he's killing it. He's barely played for a year. And he's killing it.
Starting point is 01:36:53 He learns a new song every day. It's Trey Davis. Roka, Mikey, Coy, and one Twitter. Got to go. Who are you picking? Oh, who's got to go from who's got to leave Twitter? Who's the worst out of the three, Mike? Well, I shouldn't say that as fast.
Starting point is 01:37:12 Yeah, I would say, I would say Mike. I would say Mike first. Roke a second and Coy third. Yeah. Corny Emperor, I can't wait for the Brett Shorts. Thank you. Yeah. So yeah, you're going to be doing that.
Starting point is 01:37:26 You're doing your channel. Currently, Brett, you're at 88. So you are, you're in the front seat right now. Oh, naturally. You're in the front seat. So now, now step's in tomorrow. Wait, now you're one more up. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:39 Jake Agavetta. Dagnito said a while back that he, that's sending super chats to Collider Live. as in this channel is stupid suck it tom did he say that when did he say that i don't know why he said that when did he say that um go pal that's awesome i'm playing almost 25 years and i know a handful of songs bits of a handful of songs so yeah i mean he's he's really really he's he picked it up pretty quick right yeah he's got a photographic memory so it's just it's all numbers and and like it's it's just an algorithm for him it's like he rubics cubes he could
Starting point is 01:38:13 this will be a good one for you. Joey Pedrus, what's the most memorable concert that you've ever been to? Oh, my. For me, I think it's going to be Guns and Roses at the Dodger Stadium with my wife. Oh, it's the one I've always bragged about. It was 15 bucks, and it was red hot chili peppers for the main, and it was Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins open for him, and we had never heard of either of them.
Starting point is 01:38:35 That's a good one. All right, Brett, like I said, 91, close to 100, but nonetheless, now Steph's. got to catch up to you. You have not, Roxy. Roxy had one like four in a row and she was in a position to potentially do it. You've knocked her out of the game. Wait, I'd be Roxy this week.
Starting point is 01:38:53 Yeah, Simon section. Christian. Brett, do you remember Jason the wheeled warriors? No. Star Wars meets Mad Max with a touch of Swamp thing. Christian, over under 30, a live action presentation. Over, Christian, over under 30 a live action presentation. Simon, I'm not getting a lot of these things.
Starting point is 01:39:10 then he said Christian over under 30 a live action presentation I don't know what he means sorry do you think that maybe jason the will warriors will get a live action presentation maybe asking that I don't remember he's saying I think he's asking me over under 30 percent are we getting a live action presentation I don't know I don't remember jason the wheeled warriors uh Simon so I can't say whether or not I give you, you know, the over under 30. I'll say under because I don't know it. So maybe that's one.
Starting point is 01:39:43 Go pal. Did you ever make it to Lollapalooza, Brett? I went to the very first Lala plaza and the second or third. I can't remember if we skipped one, but I went to the first Lollapalooza. Mike Joyce. Brett, any good music that you're listening to lately? You know, there's an artist that I just heard on the actual radio that I followed on Instagram and stuff.
Starting point is 01:40:04 Lola Young. I'm so glad that she's getting airplay. And yeah, that's for now, that's all I can think of. Well, my friend, I am very impressed with you. You came in here, you were about to lose, and you didn't. And you got 94. Best of the week, you beat Roca, you beat Rocha, you beat Roxy, you beat Mike. Now it's only Steph and Winston, who have a chance to beat you.
Starting point is 01:40:28 And you can come up, I'm just kidding. You are pulling a stuff. Daynapper, have you ever sat in the audience for a live taping of a game show or talk show. I have. Bonnie, what you do when you come to L.A. You go. Yeah, Bonnie got me tickets. Me and I feel like she was there too.
Starting point is 01:40:46 Bonnie, my friend Adam, we went to see Bill Maher, taping of Bill Maher. Oh, I saw Bill Maher and a guy jumped up out of the audience and rushed to her just to hand him a book, but it was very scary. That's scary. And then, of course, I saw your favorite show,
Starting point is 01:41:04 Grace Under Fire. with Brett Butler. Oh my God. All right. Hold that's crap. Wow. Jake Akavetta. Tom said during a Zoom,
Starting point is 01:41:13 we were all shit, we were all shit-faced trunk. Yeah, that, that makes sense. Oh, that Finstock Exchange podcast was, I'm so glad that got canceled.
Starting point is 01:41:21 That would have gotten, that would have turned the whole shmow down. We would have gotten canceled a lot quicker than we did. Narcoopsopsie, what year did you guys go to Yada, Yada, Yada, I didn't go to Yada, Yada,
Starting point is 01:41:32 not yet. I went to Yadalpalooza. Yeah, poor Yads. Corn Emperor, support the Brett. Thank you. DJ Case, Christian, are we getting an out of the theater reaction for Novakene? Nah, I missed the screening. So I'm not going to be able to do the out of the theater.
Starting point is 01:41:48 I was during the vacation and all that stuff. I think my next out of the theater is going to be the Snow White, seeing it on Tuesday. So unless there's a social embargo, then I don't think so. You heard it for me. I think it's going to do really, really well. Let's see. Go pal, I went in 2003 for audio slave,
Starting point is 01:42:08 Donna's Dissler's, Queens of the Stone Age, but left before Jane. You left before Jane's addiction? Oof, man. Yeah, they were still pretty darn good in 03. He's getting up there and kind of, I think he's back on the hero wine. Or an emperor 100. No, Brett's at 101. You just hit one in one, buddy.
Starting point is 01:42:27 101. Now, that's. But like, rocks is got like 140 before or something. 140? Roxy hit 325. Was it Roxy that hit? It may have been second. I can remember.
Starting point is 01:42:38 I think it was Steph. I think it was Steph that hit three. Steph and Mike, I think they hit like 340 or something. They hit something. Yeah. Roxy has hit 100 consistently over the last couple of times. But yet this week she didn't and she paid the price because Brett Sheridan is at 101. Now can Steph and Mike or no, no Mike, no Mike, just Steph.
Starting point is 01:43:01 Can Steph take it tomorrow? Can Winston? take it or will Brett come in out of nowhere, even with his shitty sound he had in the beginning of the show. And that's it. They don't want you to leave, Brett. They don't want you to leave. Armada, do you know Kyle Dunnigan?
Starting point is 01:43:16 I do know Kyle, killing on Kiltonny. I always got along with Kyle. Did you remember Kyle from the, yeah, from the Luna Park days and, and, I'm trying to think the majority where I, it was a martini lounge. I think it was martini lounge, but I always got along with Kyle very well.
Starting point is 01:43:33 It was cracked up when I was I would when I run into him, he would either go before me or after me. And we would have conversations. At the comedy story, I think, too. I was like Kyle. Kyle was a very nice guy. Go pal. Didn't Perry and Dave get into a fist fight recently? Yeah, on stage.
Starting point is 01:43:51 On stage. That I saw. I saw that. I did see Perry before that with porners for pyros with my wife. And it was quite good. Yeah. And I actually went to the bathroom and coming out of the bathroom. bathroom. Perry Farrell will stand right there and I shook his hand and I said, I guess I picked the right time to go to the bathroom.
Starting point is 01:44:10 And that's it. I think, I think I'm trying. So we're at 103. Can we get my channel the 103 subscribers? How many? What are you right now? 22. Yeah, 22 subscribers. You try and hit. And I'll tell you what, I'm just, I'm going to, I'm going to do what you told me. I'm just going to have fun. And it's, it's, I've just always wanted something that's my own. I'm been your lackey for you. You got to do your own show. Yeah, I'm going to do it. I do my, you know, I work on me. He's telling Koi forever to do his own show and he finally did it. And he's almost at 50,000 subscribers.
Starting point is 01:44:44 Whoa. Daynapper. I'm not watching the rest of the week to get Brett to win. Just kidding. See tomorrow. Stay awesome. Yeah. Keep watching.
Starting point is 01:44:52 Keep while you definitely keep watching. But, yeah, to see if Brett's going to win it at 104. There's no, here you go. Melissa, there's Brett's link coming in hot. it's in the comments right there and then luke can or pld can you guys put brett's uh channel can we add that to the actual um because right in there all the socials are in there we're put brett's youtube channel as his social in there we should probably add sam's instagrams instagrams almost over 2 000 how many followers you got on instagram yeah i'm a little
Starting point is 01:45:24 over 2 000 i just you know i guess you have to like post yeah you have to post some stuff sam sam just hit she's over 2 000 now she's just had her for like two weeks. It's been great. What will, oh, so most of us come in a little late. You know, before we sign off, do one more plug for your channel so you can tell Melissa and the rest
Starting point is 01:45:43 of the crew what it is. Yeah, yeah, Brett Sheridan channel, if you can see back there, it's going to be music related. I've got old, I've got, I used to buy just goofy albums and I'm going to review those albums for you, and I might possibly have them up for sale on eBay if I want to get rid of them,
Starting point is 01:45:59 but I'm going to have a lot of fun. I'm just going to smile. And if 20 people watch, 20 people watch, but I just hope you come join me and ask me, you know, we'll do live ones where you can ask me questions about concerts and things, because music is one of my passions. You're a motherfucking Batman. I like that one. Yeah, that's what Winston loves that one too.
