The Kristian Harloff Show - What is next for James Gunn and DCU now that Skydance is in charge?

Episode Date: October 2, 2026

Is Lanterns officially the first massive television hit of James Gunn's DCU? With the Lanterns finale right around the corner, new numbers claim the HBO series is averaging approximately 19 MILLION vi...ewers per episode. On today's Kristian Harloff Show, we break down the reported viewership numbers for Lanterns, the response to the season so far, and what its success could mean for Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Green Lantern, and the future of DC Studios. With the finale approaching, we'll also look back at the season and discuss whether Lanterns has lived up to the hype. Has the series successfully established Aaron Pierre's John Stewart as one of the major characters of the new DCU? And where does Kyle Chandler's Hal Jordan go from here? NO FINALE SPOILERS YET — we'll save the full season and finale spoiler discussion until after the episode airs. We also have a potentially enormous development for Hollywood. Warner Bros. and Paramount are preparing to become Skydance, and a new trailer promoting the merger is highlighting the absolutely enormous collection of franchises that will exist under the combined company. We're talking DC, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mission: Impossible, Star Trek, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Top Gun, Mortal Kombat and many more. What happens when this many major entertainment properties exist under one corporate umbrella? And most importantly for DC fans, what does this mean for James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Studios? #Lanterns #GreenLantern #JohnStewart #HalJordan #AaronPierre #KyleChandler #DCU #DCStudios #JamesGunn #WarnerBros #Paramount #Skydance  #MovieNews #TVNews #KristianHarloffShow 🚀 Our Show Is Trending HAS launched on Kickstarter! Starting point is 00:00:00 What a show. Get the hell out of here. What a show we have today. Thanks a lot. Luke or PLD. Whoever did that. Not yelling at Winston. Yelna, those people who, whoever who was doing that, PLD. He loves himself spinning around in the chair like he's Ned from Spider-Man. Thank you guys for being here today. We got a big show.
Starting point is 00:00:23 A lot of stories, a lot of announcements. First story that we're going to be talking about is the fact that's Winter Brothers Paramount thing, they're going to bind together and they're going to be Skydance. And what does that mean now for James Gunn overall? Bradley Cooper joining G.I. Joe. Lanterns doing about 19 million per episode and a huge, huge, Shmodeon announcement coming up at the top of the show. So let's begin. Let's get into it. It's myself.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Winston A. Marshall. Kevin Smets and stick around you'll see just a second did you shit in there welcome back to the show ladies and gentlemen it is the Friday show
Starting point is 00:01:20 and in the week here and what a panel we have we start as always on Fridays Mr. Winston A Marshall joining Winston you mad at me yeah you can go fuck yourself how was that movie
Starting point is 00:01:35 I said what I just said. So excited to see that one. We're first talking about the conjuring and seeing, we'll talk to Winston about that. Kevin Smet's coming in today on this Friday. Kev, how are you doing? I'm very good. How is everybody doing? Happy belated birthday, Christian. Thank you. And a little belated congratulations, too. I appreciate it. Oh, yeah, listen. I take back of the birthday wishes. That's fair. Were you scared out of your mind? Yeah, it's not the worst that I've been, but I, It's a good movie, though. It's, it's, it's, I said that at the end.
Starting point is 00:02:07 It is a very well-made movie, but I'm mad. I slept for an hour last night. You better, you better hope it doesn't do it. Over 40,000 views. We're knocking on the door to do the sequel. All right, listen. Guys, so as Craig Goldberg, our Kickstarter manager, campaign manager has told us, you know, the first two days of the Kickstarter,
Starting point is 00:02:31 that's usually when the big stuff happens. And we were trickling, we were doing really good for like, even for the first 70s and did pretty damn good as we hit our goal. It's slowed down a little bit now too, obviously, but we're trying to get to those stretch goals. And we have a lot of stretch goals because we need, it's going to be very difficult for us to do the show in the capacity. We want to do it with what we have currently.
Starting point is 00:02:50 We'll make something. But we are trying to get to that stretch goal of around 340. And within that, we now have some stretch goals that we have. So when we get right now, we're doing virtual 16 person, Shmode M. But once we get to 250, we'll be doing it in-person in studio, for sure. If we hit 300, we'll be doing an actual live event that follows the tournament afterwards. We'll make sure that we're going to release character descriptions, other things. Winston and I'll probably have to talk a little bit more about what a stretch goal looks like to
Starting point is 00:03:21 Hollywood, horror nights, which will be probably a lot of negotiating going on. After last night. But this is something, I don't even know if Smets really knows this yet, too, but I we've been announcing competitors I don't know even though Winston definitely doesn't know this so we've been announcing competitors um throughout this tournament and we're in 16 person tournament that we I mean we have the the cream of the crop in this tournament like past champions and it it's just it's I'm blown away with the amount of support of people who who wanted to do and want to come back and you know we're probably not going to shoot this thing until probably like anywhere between the April to June
Starting point is 00:04:01 area next year so we can get it done right plus the fact we have to see what we're going to be able to do but as i was asking competitors and i was going through it was like you wanted to really get the best of the best um i got somebody to announce right now to the audience you guys excited about this yeah man that wasn't shit you you don't so you don't know who i'm announcing either you don't know listen we can't see the backstage so no no you can't see backstage that's that's what i that's what i love about it i'm very excited i know you are get out it's pl d pl d is pLD is p ls is Peelty is competing. So you know what we should do is we should let the audience guess first or who they think is is going to be announced. I'm about to announce somebody right now. And this is hopefully another reason why I will tell you this. And I'll give you a little bit of a hint. This person's entrances were incredible. I loved watching this particular competitor's entrances. And I don't want to see this entrance on virtual. I want to see it in person. So I'm hoping that this is even more so a reason. reason why people will help us get to that stretch goal.
Starting point is 00:05:06 So, okay, so people are guessing. Guy, Andrew Guy would be mine. Well, and I'm hoping that nobody gets it because they, that only think that they're going to even think that this person maybe would have, would have decided to do it. I am going to guess. Don't you guess. Let the chat guess because if you guess it's going to, all right.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I'm going to do my announcement now. I'm going to build it up and here we go. I am so excited to say that for the Schmodeown tournament, this next competitor is an absolute legend, first ballot hall of famer if we had one, multiple champion, fan favorite, never, never,
Starting point is 00:05:58 Fans, you would announce this person and the roof would blow off the place. Paved the way for many, many competitors and a multiple teams champion. Yeah. A multiple, you know, key team champion, ladies and general. It is. The one and the only. I know. The crush.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hey. Yes. Hello. Hi, Rachel. How about Rachel Cushing coming back?
Starting point is 00:06:32 That alone, people are going to be absolutely thrilled to hear that you're coming back because I was thrilled when you said yes. And then PLD nearly jumped through the phone and was screaming in yellow when I told him. So what made you decide to say yes? It was a couple of things. first and foremost, actually, probably just a little bit of FOMO, giving that you got Dan to say yes, you got Clark to say yes. I was like, wow, okay. And you couldn't have timed it better because both of those people
Starting point is 00:07:11 or dear, dear friends of ours, have visited L.A. recently. And it was right around the decision time that they were deciding to do it. And so I was having long talks with them in person about it and everything else. And I was like, wow, like, you know, this is a big deal. And then the other side of it was, you know, we had a phone call, Christian, and I said right off the bat that I love the idea. I'm so happy for you and excited for you. Congratulations. But my next six months are going to be really difficult for me for a lot of reasons.
Starting point is 00:07:47 So I was like, you know, I love the idea. but like right now I just don't have the mental capacity to get back in any kind of trivia shape. But then you said, oh, it's not happening anytime soon. We're probably looking at next late spring, early summer, in which case I was like, okay, now I need to really think about this. And yeah, and I think it's about the mental point of view going in. This is for fun. This is going to be the best reunion ever.
Starting point is 00:08:22 This is going to be all of us coming back together over something that we all became friends over, all fell in love with. You know, I am not in trivia shape. I will not be in trivia shape. But it will just remind me of a time where, you know, you guys and this show and the fans changed my life for the better, infinitely for the better. So I was like, why not celebrate that, especially with so many other people. deciding to come back. So the fact that it's not until next year means I can try to prepare for it. But in the end, whatever happens happens, it's just going to be a fun celebration. That's really what it is, Rich. It's going to be fun. Everybody's going to be together kind of hanging out,
Starting point is 00:09:06 having a good time celebrating the memories in general, celebrate and getting it's going to be like, I said to another person I was on the phone with it. It's going to feel like the friends reunion. You know, it's like it's just one of those things. And it'll be, look, and yes, be competitive and it'll be fun and we'll have that as i said i'm sure i wasn't lying i can't wait to see what kind of entrances people are going to come up with especially you you were you were you were so creative with those and some of my favorites obviously the lord of the rings entrance was one that that stays with me the stuff that you guys did with the shirewolves with the league of their own and just so many things but and then is there anyone in particular because i know what i was going
Starting point is 00:09:44 through us you never faced roka one-on-one did you no and you know always you know always after, you know, on all the interviews and conversations I had with people afterwards was Dan Merle and I didn't really quite overlap. Like he was dominating and I was just coming in and that's when he left and then he was coming back just as I left. And, you know, I would hear from fans all the time that that was a match. They always wanted to see. And I was like, that's somebody who has the exact same strengths and weakness of the
Starting point is 00:10:17 I do. So that would be very interesting match. But yeah, there were a handful of people that I didn't get a chance to play. And it sounds like a lot of them are going to come back for this. It's going to be a lot of people. And we have still. I think you have like one or two spots maybe open left now that we have you confirmed. But I know that you have stuff that you got going on today. You came here a little extra early for us to to announce. But I'm I'm thrilled to have you back. I can't wait to say you loved watching you compete. It's going to be a blast. And, you know, we have the second announcement that she's going to be facing the winner of Mike versus Smith. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:10:54 I do believe that was a deal to do a live event, and we all know me in live events. Don't mix. No, that was never, that was never a thing. So, well, there you go. So Rachel Cushing back in the Friday to have the Crusher again. Multiple championships, a legend of the game. You can't have that tourney without it. Like, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:11:12 It's just, I mean, you've got everybody from every era. I mean, you have so many different eras now. you've got you've got rachel in there you got marisol in there uh you know adam collins you got a rookie and chris car you know you have there's there's there's so there's so many and oh before you go rachel i'm gonna play this because today's match on the schmodeown vault um this is i i watched this and i was like wow like look at the debut of somebody today on the channel i'm mike the killer kalanowski from watches for a long time uh big fan and friend of christian harlops and i've watched all the matches and I want to get involved.
Starting point is 00:11:46 I got some knowledge with movies. Most of you guys might know me from DC movie news, but you got surprised. I don't know just DC. I know Marvel. I know films. I've been watching them. My whole life,
Starting point is 00:11:56 it's what I do for a living. I want to get my head, throw my hat in the ring and see what they got for me out. I hope he wears that in the live event, that turtle. I really hope he does. Bring back the killer.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Well, I take that back. I need Mr. Cook. I honestly need to cover that Mr. Cook outfit. So, well, so there you go. So, Rachel, thank you so much. for joining us today, obviously. Thanks for coming back. I'm excited to just to hang out with you in general. So thank you so much and we can't wait to see you compete. Sounds good. It's really nice to see you guys and we'll see how this goes. Love you, Rach. Bye, Rach. Bye, Rach, love you.
Starting point is 00:12:30 How cool is that to have Rachel back? Isn't that amazing? That's crazy, man. Yeah, so we got, we were able to get Rachel back into, you know, she said that and I and I had called them earlier because, you know, They were one of my first phone calls. And I had to, I mean, you can't, as Kevin said, you can't do a tournament, not ask Rachel Christian again. And it was that she said the same thing that she just said just now. She's like, it's not a no. It's just I can't tell you right now in general, because the first thing I did leave with.
Starting point is 00:13:00 I was like, just like, you know, Clark said yes. And they thought I was full of shit. And I was, and I thought I was full of shit at that point because Clark, I, when I called Clark, when I called Clark, cause she's not going to say yes. She was one of the first people to say yes, which was amazing. I have to call my wife. There's something that everything's cool, but I just have to call her. So Winston, can you take over for a second and then if we can do, let's see, maybe you guys can talk about if Luke or PLD can bring up the lanterns story and let the guys talk about lanterns.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Yeah, yeah, I can pull it right now. Yeah, you can pull the lanterns thing up and I'm going to drop off. Winston, while you're loading that up and I love lanterns, the thing that I've never understood is how could they have, why would they call them? main villain in D.C. when they were doing the comics, Manhunters, and then have a character called Martian Manhunter, which by the way, is not the same, when I'm not the same race, not the same alien, just completely coincidental. And so people were all season long are like, well, when's Martian Man Hunter coming? I didn't know he was part of a bad guy group. Like, no, he's completely unrelated. So why would he have Manhunters as a villain group or as a species and then Martian
Starting point is 00:14:10 manhunter? It's weird. It's not, it's not great. But there's a, there's a long history. of within brands and then across brands of just like, I like that idea, I'm gonna take that. And then like, it's just like, well, now we have to sue each other. Because if you think about it,
Starting point is 00:14:25 remember, you've got Captain Marvel and then Captain Marvel slash Shazam. And then that whole debate back and forth, that was a lawsuit that finally settled and now Shazam just goes by Shazam and all that kind of stuff. But you go into previous media and you hear it like in like, you know, Justice League,
Starting point is 00:14:40 you'll, wait, what? Where is Carol Danvers? What the hell are we talking about? Like so, but, but no, I agree with you. It's, I, it's very frustrating. It would be like Tony Stark's last name was Tony Chitari. And, you know, you were like, wait, but the Chittari invasion. But now you have Tony Chitari.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Is he one of the Chitarians? He said, I don't know. No, that's it. That, you were spot on. That really grinds my gears, Winston. Hey, man, if we're getting old enough to start using those phrases, that I, now I'm concerned. All right, y'all, let's talk about this lanterns. this average of episodes.
Starting point is 00:15:16 PLD, if you could pull up the, I'm screen sharing it, I just can't, yep, there we go. All right, so Lanterns is averaging 19 million per episode, according to Dark Horizons here. The seventh episode of HBO Max's Lanterns, reportedly has reached 7 million viewers in the U.S. in its first three days of availability, according to the Nielsen ratings via variety.
Starting point is 00:15:38 That number is said to be a combination of linear views on HBO's cable channel plus streams on HBO Max. The trade says the DC Universe series has shown strong viewership thus far, averaging above 12 million viewers per episode to date in the U.S. and nearly 19 million worldwide so far. Those averages are expected to rise by millions with time.
Starting point is 00:16:01 They seem comparable to HBO's It Welcome to Dairy, something I will never watch, which is sold in 6.5 million U.S. viewers in three days for its most watched episode and around its finale reported a similar 19.7 million worldwide viewership average. A few months later, during an earnings call earlier this year, HBO Max gave an updated 27 million per episode worldwide figure for that show. HBO's biggest series in terms of worldwide average episode viewership in recent years includes
Starting point is 00:16:29 the Last of Us, season two at 37 million, a night of the seven kingdoms, a 36 million, House of the Dragon, season three at 33 million, Euphoria, season three at 27 million, White Lotus, season three at 26 million, the pit season to a 25 million and the penguin at 20 million, with most of those numbers coming around the time of their finale's, as opposed to months after they concluded their runs, thus are likely slightly higher.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Lanterns is also continuing to bring in new viewers as the season progresses with a 1.5 million new viewers watching the series premiere within the last week, with the series finale releasing the Sunday viewership is expected to surge as binge watchers catch up. Okay, PODD, if you bring us back on the regular, oh, thank you, Sal. well done. Had a little bit of practice with with reading. So I, you know, I've made it pretty clear.
Starting point is 00:17:19 I've done a number of like different reviews on blurted in the hood and on spilled with tequila and all that kind of stuff that I'm loving the show. So one, I guess I would just ask you, Kev, like how are you liking the show? And two, does any of the surprise you, do you think this is an automatic waypoint to, well, we have to do a season two now. What do you think? First of all, I'm really enjoying the show. And I didn't think I was going to at the beginning.
Starting point is 00:17:47 It's one of those that just kind of like, whoa, that surprises me. Yeah. Aside from that Manhunter bullshit. No, that's fine. I knew that going in, but I just remember seeing all the, like the discourse. Like, well, when's Martian Manhunter coming in? And who's Martian Manhunter? But no, I've really enjoyed the storytelling.
Starting point is 00:18:04 I think it's a, look, this is coming from someone. Don't throw the fruit at me, but I really love the DCEU. I'm disappointed that he didn't get to finish his vision. You know, starting with all the stuff would happen with his daughter and then getting pushed from Justice League. I mean, he went through a lot. Say what you will about that filmmaker. But everyone who's ever said anything about Zach Snyder is he's a really class dude, like a really nice guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:28 So going into that. But for I want DC to do well because I want comic book movies and I want the industry to do well. So it's a win for James Gunn and his team. And I think that they're pretty stoked, too, because I hear that Aaron Pierre has a big part in Man of Tomorrow. So I think they're kind of like, because I'm, this is the first time where like, you know, that's what I loved about the old Marvel movies. It's like, you saw Thor and then you saw Captain America, the First Avenger. And you're like, oh, my God, how are these two going to interact? And then Tony Stark with his ACDC music, how was he going to talk to Captain America from the 40s and stuff?
Starting point is 00:19:01 You were so excited. And then they had the team up where DCEU, they just blew it all like in the beginning. And they're like, do you Batman be Superman, throw Wonder Woman in there, then Justice League? This is the first time where if even though Superman, and that's my other problem with James Gunn, Superman, is there so many superheroes in it, they just threw it. But I love, I have the feeling of, oh my God, how is John Stewart going to interact with, you know, we've already seen him interact with Guy, but how is he going to interact with like more otherworldly stuff? Are we going to see him in scenes with Lex Luthor or Superman?
Starting point is 00:19:29 I'm sure we will. And how excited I am. So I have that early feeling of like, how will this guy interact with the, you know, that early feeling that you haven't gotten since probably way when the first phase of Marvel movies are coming out piecemeal, right? So I'm excited. It doesn't surprise me that the ratings are doing well, right? And I think they're hanging their hat on that. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:19:49 No, I mean, I have been in love with it. I think it's been such a strong, such strong storytelling. And I think that's the thing that a lot of people in the industry, I hope, take to heart is, look at the actual superhero movies in the last call it two to three years that have really just taken off it's a combo of two things one you do need to kind of have enough of a recognizable IP as much as you know i as a comic book geek i understand and know what the thunderbolts are that's and and you had yes i know you had introduced those characters and other things it's still esoteric enough that it doesn't like quite hit the ear correctly and so people didn't come clamoring to it even though it was like a well-written and produced movie. So you want to need to have a name recognition. How about Supergirl, though? Yeah, that was some name recognition there.
Starting point is 00:20:48 I mean, was it, though? Because I was having this debate with with Jay on Blurds a little while ago, and that Supergirl, as far as that goes, I would argue as more of like kind of a B-tier character. Like, it's, it's, yes, there's the offshoot of Superman as far as that goes, but like especially if you're building a universe, it's so different if like we've been in it for a while. So like you've had people's trust and like you have to see these DC movies.
Starting point is 00:21:14 They're so good. So you go and see kind of whatever. Yeah. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman. Green Lantern, I think clearly is kind of shown. And even even then, but based on the strong numbers even from the start, that's enough of a recognizable name that people were like, yep, I'll give it a shot.
Starting point is 00:21:29 You know what I mean? And again, Supergirl, you hear it. It sounds like Superman. People have probably heard of Supergirl before, all that kind of stuff. but there wasn't anything that super stands out except for mate no pun intended except for maybe the you know the c w yes slash cw show but even then you i guess the part that throws me off and i don't even realize this at times tv being so much more diverse that even if it is on a major network you may have never heard of it like i forgot that my home girl was um on a show uh god friended
Starting point is 00:22:03 me on cbs which was like i guess about about God-friending someone via Facebook. I never got a chance to really watch the show. I saw, like, one of her episodes. So, like, people may have never heard of that show ever in their entire life. Same kind of thing with Supergirl. It's like, I don't watch the be-hills of stuff. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Like, versus when big movies are out, the marketing is bigger, all that kind of stuff. So I just didn't- Totally. I didn't think Supergirl was a big enough name, but Lanterns clearly is, and it's backed by being a strong, strong-written story. And I think that that's kind of the thing that, that is helping propel this is that they wrote the hell out of this thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:40 And a lot of people early on were like, this is, it was what you as advertised, it was true detective, right, with DC characters. And people were like, well,
Starting point is 00:22:48 where's like the fantastical elements like, and they're missing that? But the last episode, and I'm sure the finale is going to, we're going to really get into that. So, yeah, you know,
Starting point is 00:22:56 we're on other planets and wormholes and all of that. So, um, and where, where do you lie on? What's your prediction? Do you think that, um,
Starting point is 00:23:04 Hal Jordan is dead, and do you think, because everybody loves Kyle Chandler, do you think that the manifestation, the AI version of him, that would be where we get Kyle Chandler, like. Yep, yep, yep, yep. Yeah, you know, I still fall in the camp of I don't think Hal is dead, but I think if he is, you've opened the door for two specific things, the first being to keep Kyle Chandler around, just you have the halogram.
Starting point is 00:23:34 which I think also works. Did you call it a halogram? That's so good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know if they ever used it canonically in the show, but it was something that got coined, like, after that first episode. Love it. Is someone called it a halogram?
Starting point is 00:23:50 I was like, that's sticking. I'm calling it that. That's fine. Right, right, right, but I think either that's the way you keep him in, or you've spent too much time showing people being, like, pretty dead and rebuilt, including John, that I just believe that there's a clone. I do.
Starting point is 00:24:10 And on top of the fact that, like, you, I know Gunn tweets a lot, but at one point, like, an episode or two ago, he was like, you know, with Hal dead, if that's really what's going on. Like, he actually tweeted that out. And I was like, between that and, like, seeing the Spanish title with the clone thing,
Starting point is 00:24:27 I truly think that they're going to do something where he's still alive. And if you don't do that, I think what's actually going on is I do think we are the big bad for this saga, ultimately when we get to it, is going to be Blackest Night. And so are you familiar with that story? No, tell me. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:49 So Blackest Night is, and part of what's also tipping my hat that this is a good entry point for this, the name of the show being lanterns, implying you could go with, oh, multiple green lanterns. but it also means that you could go the multiple lantern cores. And you have tipped your hat enough to, by having the whole genocide planet thing that's happening, you were really kind of tipping your hat towards atrocities and like the red lanterns. Because Sinestro, obviously, yes, he's very famous for being one of the greatest green lanterns ever, but the main thing he's famous for is being the villain
Starting point is 00:25:27 and the wielder of the Yellow Lantern. Yellow, yeah. semester of core. So like it's one of those things we're naming it lanterns kind of and you've now seen um, Carol Ferris, um, who that was cool. I love that. So you've tipped your hat to the idea that we're going to see the other lantern cores. And the big bad storyline for that blackest night is where you learn about the black lantern core where you start, uh, essentially, uh, I want to say his name is Nechron. I could be getting that wrong. I got to double check. But either way, he starts raising people from the dead to make essentially zombie black lanterns,
Starting point is 00:26:02 which are incredibly fucking powerful, and it takes all of the lantern cores, like working together, and I won't ruin kind of how that all plays out, but it takes a universal cosmic level of work to stop it. So it feels like that we might, it's incredible. So it feels like we might move that way
Starting point is 00:26:21 because part of the way we get there is a scenario where first it's kind of smaller characters who are dying, and then you start losing major players. So if you've lost Howe early on and we just have the Hallogram and you're going through this whole saga and then you get to this final Infinity War end game kind of moment
Starting point is 00:26:38 where all of a sudden here come the Black Lanterns and now you're reviving Hal and he's now doing this evil thing and now people are going to be haunted by those that they've lost. And that's the main thing about Blackness Night that's so crazy is now you've got to like, you're fighting your best friend.
Starting point is 00:26:53 You're fighting, you know, you're fighting zombie howl basically. And so that's, so by putting on top of that, and this is where minor spoiler for Supergirl has been out for months, the ending of how she decides to deal with Krem, that becomes a whole thing where then now all of a sudden, Crem could be revived as a Black Lantern. And now she's being haunted by this dude.
Starting point is 00:27:18 And he, all of a sudden, and you start playing mind games with people and stuff like that. I feel like that can be, you know, they were talking, remember when James Gunn first announced, like gods and monsters and you know how we're having phase one. You're saying our first Thanos,
Starting point is 00:27:31 our first Avengers, overall, like when everything kind of tues ahead, it could be this Black Lantern story. And it all ties from this show. That would be incredible. The virgin of the TV and the movies. It would be absolutely fantastic.
Starting point is 00:27:46 And it feels like a good, like especially with, and I had talked about this somewhere else too, where you're talking about gods and monsters, that's the one thing I think that, has done exceptionally well across all of these is hitting us he really stuck to that theme and the idea of what are you going to be are you going to be a god are you going to be a monster whatever that means so superman the whole thing of like oh come start your harem like blah blah blah take
Starting point is 00:28:15 over the planet etc yeah yeah but instead he comes down and he's actually benevolent and he's trying to do the right thing and protect people you look at carra and supergirl the idea of like oh you should be using your powers for good, but she's in grieving mode. And she really could be a monster if she wanted to and shows times where she does that. Yeah. Even with this too, same thing. Are Hal and John going to be good, et cetera, et cetera. So this push pull of, are you going to be good or are you going to be evil?
Starting point is 00:28:38 What will you do with your ultimate power that will then lead to them all being like, oh, now we're actually dealing with real ass monsters. So were you able to actually starve off that kind of evil inside you? And I love this because everybody thinks it's going to be dark side again, right? and like this is it's like a left field thing but you how you sold me on just all of these all these pieces and all these villains from every other solo movies are brought back in that finale
Starting point is 00:29:03 and now you have the zombie villains and heroes versus our remaining heroes in the on in the Avengers end game style moment for the DC DCU let's get you in the boardroom buddy come on I'm ready thank you guys for taking over there for lanterns discussion so make sure you guys put your thoughts in there with everything that Winston and Smets were saying.
Starting point is 00:29:27 I'm going to, we're going to bring back, when I come back, we're just going to go a quick break. And when I come back, we're going to do the, the other stories about continuing on what the guys are talking about with DC. We'll talk a little bit about what's going to happen now with the skydance side of it and James Gunn. So before we do that, I'll tell you a little bit about our sponsors here, both Square and Kalshi. Hello, lady. It's been a long time.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Okay. If you insist. Wee! Yeah. Feel that wonderfulness. Feel that loveliness. Now, what you got? What kind of gift you got for me? Oh, there it is. Okay. It's slipping slide time. It's me. Oh, look at that special honey sauce. Okay. Ready? Woo! You like that? Yes. I know you do. Happy birthday, motherfucker. What the hell was that? Happy birthday, Mother of God. That was Big Ball special message to me yesterday.
Starting point is 00:30:37 So, anyway, thank you to Cali and Square for hooking us up, being part of the show here today. We really appreciate it. All right, guys, you know, so right now, like I said, we want you guys to be part of this thing. If you have it. I'm curious, though, too. This is something that I was talking to with the audience. when we're building up trending kev like i want people to understand what we're doing here i want people to be a part of it i want people to in the same way that they supported like obsession or stockman
Starting point is 00:31:13 or it's like i want them to realize like they're part what they're really part of so i'm curious people that are in chat right now one of the things that i asked is we're leading up to it is what was it or what would you want to see in order for you to back the project If you have backed the project already, let us know, like, what, what was it that you got excited about that you wanted to? And the first was whether it was the 40-day challenge or whether it was one of the, it was with the Schmodeown stuff. And if you haven't, like, what is it, you think that, okay, look, look at right now at 202-0-44, right? So we're about 48, $48,000 away from doing the Schmodown in person, only about eight away from. me releasing both some character descriptions and my playlist.
Starting point is 00:32:02 So I'm curious of what people, again, like I said, we're going to have people to support it. Support it right now. We'll be able to go after cast and other things. Which is huge. Going after cat, like you want to give yourself, you're going to get this far into it and you're going to make the movie. And you're going to make a great show. You're going to make a great show no matter what.
Starting point is 00:32:20 However, you know, sometimes they always say you have a one chance to make a, you know, one chance to make a good first impression. So a lot of people when if you have those name actors in there, they're more likely they're going to feel that. You know, it's like having a warm crowd. It's like when Seinfeld goes and doesn't open, he doesn't, he doesn't open mic or he goes to the comedy store. He already has that warm audience, right? Whereas a no name will go up there and has to win over that crowd. We can have a chance, you know, Christian could have a chance. He's going to make a great pilot already. But if he gets some of the names in there, it'll get more doors open more eyeballs on it as far as potential people to purchase the show or
Starting point is 00:33:01 yes and outside of just the cast right it's like the the crew locations like all of that it's and plus the fact as i've been saying like we we those sneakers they went fast right when we put them up there um the a lot of these things that the shirts the hats are going to go fast but you also got to put cost into those um even if we do a virtual schmodeau you got to pay the competitors You got to pay you to do other things. So it's like the cost of you now you're you're scaling down on the pilot. So it's like it's what comes with it. But it's why I told people and why people are,
Starting point is 00:33:36 why didn't you ask for something up top or more up top? It's like because like I said, we can make something to this, but we want to make sure that we can get the best version possible. So it looks like it's been on one of these streaming things. So we hope people realize that it's not even though we funded it within seven days. We have a long journey left. here's a question and uh about the schmodown and i i know that he uh left winston and was with roxy
Starting point is 00:34:02 last i remember um just make sorry that was making sure it's not work uh chandrew yeah i remember he did he did singles near the end and i think he had like a perfect first round have you thought about i mean i don't know the streaming online version of that but as far as that was someone in my head i'm like well he has good entrances too would you think about bringing him in to the singles tournament. No, I don't know there's enough spots left. There's other people I have to ask before I ask Chandler. I love Chandrop, but like,
Starting point is 00:34:29 for an inner geekism thing, you know, like right away, but I don't want to play him in here. Please, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:34:34 I mean, I mean, I mean, I would love to see, you've already named three intergeekdom champions. I would love to see a fatal four way between, between those four champs, bro. I know.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Uh, but it's like, you know, again, you just heard my, it's real. I know, we have,
Starting point is 00:34:52 we've got, we've got, we've got, had a stretch goal of 300 to even get to a live event. That's true. So what that goes into that. Okay. So there is no live event then.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Not yet. If it is, well, that's the other thing. If you want to see Smets v. Kalinowski in the Intergeek to match that we hit our stretch goal of 300. I can't do a live event right now. I mean,
Starting point is 00:35:09 I never like what I promised people was that we do with 16 person tournament. That's what I promise. That's what I'll deliver. And I even push that back. So, you know, and we'll build on that. I believe we'll get to the 250.
Starting point is 00:35:20 I believe we'll do it in person. I'm not worried about that. 300 is, you know, that's why it's called a stretch. It's a stretch goal. So we'll do it. We'll figure it out. And we, and I'm doing a 10-hour stream on, on the last day. So hopefully, you know, and I'll be here as long as I can telling people that we're just,
Starting point is 00:35:37 we're trying to get to the same. I want to make the best version of this. So, so my, you can do electrical tape, but I'd rather not. Mikey's going to be rooting for, uh, you to raise $299,9,95. No, I put in the extra five of that. I've already put in, I've already put in, you know, some for myself too. And I push it over the line. I would do that to get it there.
Starting point is 00:35:58 All right. Let's get to some of the stuff because this is pretty big overall when it comes to what's going down with D.C. And now they're calling it Skydance. We don't have to go into the whole thing, but we're, but what we are getting is the fact that skydance finds new Paramount Winter Brothers film chiefs. But where does that leave James Gunn? Skydance has decided to move on from, that's crazy. That's crazy. Yeah, that's nuts.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Considering what they did last year, I mean, I know they had a bad year this year, but I mean, I guess it's always, what have you done for me lately? But where are they going to go? That's another conversation with Skydance has decided to move on from Dulcah and Abdi for the new Paramount Winterbo's mega studio, but what have James Gunn and why is he coming under fire from DC fans today?
Starting point is 00:36:44 Late last night, the news broke that Paramount Pictures is expected to remove Delucah and Abdi as co-chairs of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group. They've had mixed fortunes while leaving the studio. It's so funny that this was last year and they did this, there would be way more of a stink. But the Warner Brothers just had such a shitty year this year that it's like, all right.
Starting point is 00:37:03 After a challenging 2024, they delivered multiple box office successes for Warner Brothers last year. However, 2026 hasn't been quite as kind. The Bride, Supergirl, and now Digger, which reportedly went out way over budget, is set to be one of the year's biggest box office flops. Luke and Abdi have brought Warner Brothers plenty of award successes, including Ryan Cougar's sinners. However, it seems that David Ellison is looking for some fresh blood to revitalize what he's previously said would be a slate of at least 30 movies a year from the combined studios. According to deadlines, Skydance will likely be run by current Paramount Motion Picture co-chairs, Josh Greenstein, and Dana Goldberg, who I used to work for. DeLuca and Abby learned of their ousting online last night, but it sounds like they may be asked to stick around in different roles. However, Ellison never made a phone call to them about their future and whether or not there's a job offer in hand. That's shitty. While the duo recently renewed their contracts through 2030 under the current Warner Brothers Discovery CEO, David Zazloff,
Starting point is 00:37:55 Ellison clearly feels that Greenstein and Goldberg are the right choice to spearhead skydance. DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn and Peter Safran are not mentioned in this report. The Puck said last night that Ellison will likely ask them to remain in charge of the offshoot studio, well, at least initially. So far, Gunn and Safran have delivered two apparent hits in Superman and lanterns and at a box office bomb a Supergirl, Ellison may want to give them a chance to continue with their shared vision of the DCU,
Starting point is 00:38:22 but their future will surely hinge on how well Clayface and manna tomorrow perform. For what it's worth, Gunn has shared Ellison's skydance hype video on threads, capturing it what once was peak is now just the beginning. The response to this has been mixed. Did Ellison hold you hostage for you to post this? I think you watching this. This is such a bummer to see you post this.
Starting point is 00:38:39 This feels like the time you told people that the flash was amazing. Damn! And Paramount is going to make you turn Superman into Homelander. Um, okay. Lots there. The, the last part of it is to be, uh, expected. Where the fuck is this. All right. Um, so the glasses are on your face. If that's what you're asking. Stupid. Stupid. Um, so when, first of all, let's talk about the Abdean, the look a part of it. Uh, I mean, like I said, if it was last year, you'd be like, oh, man that's a tough choice now I will say though and and not just because it worked for
Starting point is 00:39:21 Dana Goldberg is a really great executive look at her resume and the things that she's done I remember like and she was always looking for honesty I mean I told this story before and people may realize that was Dana Goldberg but I've told this story before when I was an intern at village road show and she was running the shop over there and when they were talking about and Catwoman was coming out for them and she's like and we're in this group of interns at the time and she goes is everybody excited about uh cat woman this weekend. And everyone's like, yeah, yeah, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:39:50 and she goes, why? Why? And I go, can I tell you why? Honestly, she's like, yeah, tell me why. I want to know your thoughts. And I said, well, it's just the fact that this doesn't really look that interesting overall. We've seen, we're promoting it now on, on, on the sexuality side of Hallie Berry. And we've kind of seen her through the internet and stuff, too, these images.
Starting point is 00:40:12 And it's got to be more than it. It doesn't look like it's related to any of the Batman mythology. this and I gave a really detailed thing. And she called Joe Silver's company to give me a give me a word of a recommendation because of that
Starting point is 00:40:28 meeting. Because she said you were honest. You weren't, she said you weren't, you know, mean. You gave me your thoughts. And she said, you know, it turns out the movie didn't do very well. So, and she was awesome. I enjoyed working with her. But
Starting point is 00:40:45 she has a good sense of things. And she, I don't think she was the one necessarily bring up cat woman. Oh, that, that's not one to bring up. You look at all the other things that she has done. So she's, she's a good, she's, I understand if you're Ellis and you're like, I don't really want to get rid of Dana Goldberg and, and her partner, because they're doing, they're doing good stuff. And they work for me already. I don't know these people. I know, I know them, but I don't know them. So I get that. It's like, you know, if there were two, if me, if the three of us,
Starting point is 00:41:12 if I bought something and like, well, you know, We do a Friday show at our thing, too. You can have our Friday host. I was like, but I have my Friday host. And I like my Friday host. And it's what you're describing, to be honest with you. And I'm going to potentially cry, shed less tears for people that are like chairs of studios in the sense of like you've made millions of dollars. I'm sorry you lost your job, but damn, that's gone.
Starting point is 00:41:37 But this is exactly why I've been anti any merger period. And they'll land somewhere, though. Those two will land somewhere. Absolutely. But this is then on a on such a smaller scale, what's about to happen to every department across these two companies. And that was really why I've been so anti this. There's not a way to do a merger where you just magically keep everybody's jobs.
Starting point is 00:41:59 It means somebody's getting laid off. And that's essentially what this is is the beginning of saying that. It's just, again, it's very different for who you're talking about at the top versus like, hey, there was just 2,000 jobs cut. Like from post production and marketing. and whatever. So, yeah, I'm also just surprised that they, we touched on it very lightly,
Starting point is 00:42:21 but that they're deciding to go with Skydance as the overall name and just get rid of both Paramount and Warner Brothers being the two bigger ones. It reminds me of like when you had HBO Max, like, we're just going to go by Max. Right. HBO is the name there above all of them. So I'm surprised they didn't find a way to either put Paramount or Warner Brothers. So there's no Warner, that Warner Brothers logo, everything that's going to be gone
Starting point is 00:42:43 day it'll it'll if i'm not mistaken it'll exist the way that disney still has 20th century but fox is just gone as far as that goes as far as like movie studios and stuff so it sounds like these will still be umbrellaed underneath but the company is skydance and that's really what's being presented the way that disney does with you know marvel studios and lucas films and blah blah blah yeah um there's a lot there's a lot that is going into this overall and that's just one part of it, right? That's just because now you're going to the James Gunn DC side of it. I think it is ultimately what we said, right? Where you look at what we just said about Duluca and Abdi. They, the one of the reasons, not only the, the fact that he's happy with who he already has,
Starting point is 00:43:31 but if you, it would have been a harder decision in the same way it was probably an easier decision for Gun and Safron to move on from the DCU because Flash bombed, Aquaman 2 barely broke even whatever it did. Shazam 2 bombed and Wonder Woman 84 bombed and all those, well, I, not Wonder Woman 84, whatever, there was something else that came out. But all the movies that in the DC, they didn't have to move on. They knew they could just, okay, let's go. Same thing goes for. Black Adam. Well, I think that was before. Was that right? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. So either way, there were no wins. There were no wins. So it was easy. We're done with this now. moving on.
Starting point is 00:44:15 It would have been harder for, at least I think it would have been, maybe it wouldn't it, but he would have got more pushback from Ellison if Abdeen to look at had the same year this year that they did last year. Yeah. It's a harder decision, at least on a good business side of it. Yeah. So, anyway, this is to me a one, the next step that goes into it is the gun side. And it's like, all right.
Starting point is 00:44:43 well you have um manna tomorrow and clay face as they mentioned in the article clay face has a little breathing room because it's a low budget it's got a little breathing room so if you can deliver and do some kind of either break even or get close to breaking even you kind of get out of the way of them saying well that ate shit right man of tomorrow though is everything it's not it's Clayface and man tomorrow. Clayface is kind of irrelevant. It's unless it like it becomes like a massive hit.
Starting point is 00:45:20 They're gonna, they'll throw look, if they have any sense, and I don't think they should do it this way, they throw a Batman post teaser in there. And then you all of a sudden have this cheap movie that was made, but everybody's racy to see it because they want to see their first eyes on the DCU Batman. Yep. That movie can make a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:45:38 It's true. I mean, I think that you'd have to like that's, if I'm James Gunn, I'm doing a reshoot for that thing. And I'm getting Batman in that mother error. Yeah. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:45:46 Like that's going to get some people out. In the same way, like I said, it, Black Adam, I think, broke even or lost some money, right? It would have lost a lot more money if Henry Cavill wasn't in that post, that end scene. Yeah. Little and people knew it. People wanted to see it just because of that.
Starting point is 00:46:04 So add a little bit more money to it. But then man of tomorrow, all of the, it all shifts. there. So Winston, do you think that, you know, let's say, let's put a scenario out there. Man of tomorrow, crushes, does well, done post this thing about Ellison with the hopes that, okay, we can work together. It does well, you would assume, all right, well, what do you got next? Right?
Starting point is 00:46:32 Like, what does it, what does he go from there? You think like that? Yeah. If it does really well. I mean, that's, that is one, how you solidify your job. Like you said, it's what have you do. done for me lately like so yes at that end you i think that would have been also enough time you would hope for a little more but if you had superman creature commandos peacemaker supergirl lanterns
Starting point is 00:46:55 clay face and manna tomorrow i think that's enough of a sample size to go is this working or is it's not working especially at like anything i would argue anything prior to manna tomorrow would be a little too early to just kind of pull the rip cord um especially knowing that these particular types of stories take even more time to kind of set up versus when you look at like say the dark universe like when that was happening it was like is there even an interest in doing something like this yeah where we know there is an interest for you know comic book uh you know cinematic universes and stuff like that so uh yeah that would that would be it stuad man of tomorrow like like the article said like you just said manna tomorrow and in clay face benit tomorrow specifically have to kill uh now i'm going to give you scenario keb the opposite side of it man at tomorrow underperforms or barely breaks even or just makes a little less than even that's the end of this regime right it's got to be i mean maybe they would get like one more like they'd be like now you got to bring batman in or they would be like we got to merge the reeves batman to save you know they might do some crazy desperate kind of stunt like that but
Starting point is 00:48:08 that's a good call sorry i'm not i want you to continue but that's a good call also where it's like maybe not just disintegrated, but just take more control of it and say, okay, we gave you your shot. Now you have to do it our way. And our way is Reeves Batman is your Batman now. You know what I mean? And yeah, I mean, or and then they'll probably green light the dark night returns for Zach Snyder. So they're going to try to do anything they can to kind of milk that IP, I think.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, I'm curious what people think. And then the other side of it is just the abridged version of it, that now it's going to be skydance and not what what is it basically peeled is the fact that they're just calling a skydance and it's no longer Warner Brothers and Paramountly what what's what is that's that's kind of strange if that's the case is there's no there's no more wonder brothers there's no more paramount it's just skydance no logo home if if you the article that
Starting point is 00:49:01 was in the the run sheet that they sent us it it it shows it's the umbrella company at this point so it shows all the other logos kind of surrounding it so similar to again with Disney. Disney is the company. And then Marvel Studios exist, Lucas Films exists, 20th century exists, etc. So Skydance is the company. Skydance is the company within Skydance is Warner Brothers. Uh-huh. So they're not dissolving it. There's just saying it's all under the umbrella of skydance. In the way in the way that like again, 20th century exists, but it's kind of shelves. And it's just like it's a Disney thing and it's going under that branch of stuff. It's the same thing here. Yeah, which you know, if it is it, is it the sky dance?
Starting point is 00:49:39 studio is the skydance company present because i don't think so i think it's just skydance is the overall kind of entity and then because the point the paramount lot is going to run as it is and the winter brother's lot is going to run as it is but it's like i think they would be silly to do this and it doesn't look like they're going to because if they it's it's like and i've and kevin i've always talked about this the wcw wcdw um e or guest at the time wf merger right yeah i always thought it was a colossal error for them to dissolve WCW. They should have ran it as a separate brand. Vince's ego.
Starting point is 00:50:13 It was so silly for them to do that because then it was just all WD and it was gone, right? As opposed to, okay, fine, it's still, but it's still there. It carries some stuff. So even if you're watching, you know, you're going to see the Skydance movie, but when it opens up, the Warner Brothers logo is there. And you still, okay, still feel it's, it still exists. And if you're not paying attention to it, like we are, you'd have no. idea what's going no idea you'd have you said oh Warner Brothers making a movie most people
Starting point is 00:50:40 are the most casual fans are going to be like oh is that kind of happened what what is that I don't know what that so one brother so okay I know them you can't have a Harry Potter movie without slowly moving into the right yeah Warner Brothers logo now to this be skycats right right so anyway let's see we'll go let's let's go and bring up one more story and then we'll do well actually you know what we'll do it we'll well I don't I don't know if there's anything else in particular that we really need to cover because there's so many different things. I want to,
Starting point is 00:51:14 because I want to make sure that we can get the Kevin's games. So let me see if there's any story for, we guys got Lanner as we did that. G. G. Joe, we can hold. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Let's get into the, let's get into Kevin's games. All right. Well, we have Winston here is a game. Have you played them yet? You've played them before. I've never played it.
Starting point is 00:51:31 So I'm looking forward to this. Okay, it'd be fun. Yeah, I made sure to do pixel cinema today. So we could load that. Oh, he'd be good. He'd be good at that, yeah. And don't cheat. All right, my man.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Don't cheat and look at the comments. Yeah, we'll see. I got some good ones here. I got some, uh, rare. I don't know. So we'll see how it is. So basically there are video game translations, you know, uh, throughout the years. Some are very obvious.
Starting point is 00:52:01 Uh, and some aren't. So I'm going to show you screen grabs from, uh, several games. And then you've got to tell me what the movie is for, what the movie. Okay. Okay. Interesting. Let's do this, man. All right, Winston, you're a gamer, so I expect good things from you. Let's go a PC1, hint one, VLD.
Starting point is 00:52:20 That's our first shot. There's some hints. There's some visual. I know it is. I know it is. Christian, if Christian knows, wait until he, you give him a second. I know from the outfit and I know from the name. Okay, that's.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Can I answer it? Well, let's go to the second. Let them have a second. Oh, no. Come on. Let me get on the first. Okay. An elephant.
Starting point is 00:52:40 Last action hero. Last action hero. Yeah, go to that second hint. There it is. He's at a movie theater there with popcorn. The outfit is. You got it on that one. I wouldn't have been able to pull that one.
Starting point is 00:52:52 You know, if you would have shown that second, let's bring that second one up again. If you would have shown that, I don't know if I would have gotten it. Really? Maybe I shouldn't know. Go back to the first one.
Starting point is 00:53:03 It's that. It's the red shirt, right? It's the red shirt. The red shirt. And then when I looked up and saw it. At first I said, what is that? Is that like?
Starting point is 00:53:09 And then I looked up with Jack. like, oh, yeah, okay. Yeah, his name is... Galison. Yeah, I haven't seen my section hero, so you... Oh, you never saw that? Wow. Yeah, that was...
Starting point is 00:53:18 Remember 80s? 80s is my... That was 90. That was a fun movie. That's like a bananas movie. That movie's all over. That was 93 of that movie came out. All right, let's go to the second one.
Starting point is 00:53:28 Here's your first screen grab. We love these games as a kid, didn't we? Oh, yeah, Gremlins. Oh, we got it right on. Wow, that was good. And look at that. You're... It's the first level.
Starting point is 00:53:37 You're protecting the mogwise from eating the cheeseburgers on the bottom, and And then once they eat the cheeseburgers, then you face off with the gremlis. All right. What's the third one? There's not a third one. I'm only two hints. Okay. There's only two hints per game just at the request of it.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Don't just shoot. Don't just shoot it out. Oh, okay. My bad. I'm bad. You're going to say, I know. And then Kevin will call on you. He just shouted Dwal and give me Kalanowski, didn't he?
Starting point is 00:54:01 That's right. Yeah, he did. All right. We got our third game here. This, this tough one. If you can get on the first one, I'm curious of chatting. get on this first one. I think I know this one.
Starting point is 00:54:13 Ooh. This is for the Nintendo. Go ahead, Winston, take your guess. Oh, this is for the NES, though. Don't cheat. No, I'm not cheating. I'm just, I'm just, he's right. I'm thinking about the pixels. Now I'm trying to think of time here.
Starting point is 00:54:28 I want to say, this is T2 judgment day. No, no, not close. Not a lot at all, but I get it. Get on the outfit. The second one, this was basically a speed round. One of you guys better shout right away. Mad Max?
Starting point is 00:54:44 Oh, Mad Max. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It looked like the outfit and it looked like he was holding a shotgun. So I was like that kind of feels like that might be T2. But that's like a Mad Max outfit too. Yeah, when you go back and you look at it, it makes sense. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:54:58 We got two more games here. Let's go to PC4 hint one. This one is more than meets the eye. So it looks like it's an underwater adventure, huh? It's the fishies. This is for the Nintendo. All right. I guess I'll try to guess.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Let's hear it. Go on screen for the guest. What's that? Peter Pan, I said. Hook. It's hook. Oh, yes. Wow. It's because of the outfit, right? I was trying to trick you up by having that underwater show. Underwater episode.
Starting point is 00:55:27 That's why. That's where my mind went. My mind went, well, he wants me to say Aquaman, but I'm like, you know, when I went with the outfit. Because like, he got to go, what does he go underwater? This is what Nintendo had to do. Go back to have an underwater level. This is Hook? Hey, Julie Roberts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:43 you were wrong. It's your girl, does? I don't. You know, Julie Robert. All right, we got one more. I'm curious if you guys should get this one. Oh, I think I got it. You know it already? Yeah. Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 00:55:57 Tell me why you know it already. Oh, yeah. Wentz on a, we'll do one, two, three, and then say it, right? One, two, three. One, two, three, the shadow. Get Tracy. No, both wrong. Oh, really? Hint two is your big hint now.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Okay. I have a BLD I love that you're on mute. Get out of here. You're not playing out of you. You know, you're playing it. This is from a scene from the movie. Oh, I know what it is now.
Starting point is 00:56:21 I know what it is now. Intergeeked a movie too, by the way. Yeah, I know what this is. I didn't realize. Oh, well. Seattle, K.O. got it. Don't check. Yeah, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:56:32 No, I'm not. No, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Did you do this because of Clayface? Did I do this because? Because it's very similar. It's very similar.
Starting point is 00:56:42 You can get rid of this article. Yeah. You can't very simple, right? Darkman. Dark man. I didn't realize that Darkman had a video. Dude, how epic was that scene in Darkman with the helicopter?
Starting point is 00:56:52 And he's hanging. I just remember the trailers and he's just going slants you through building. Did you know that they had a game for that PLD? Dark man? You're muted. You're muted. By the way, I'm glad he wasn't muted. Did you see this?
Starting point is 00:57:07 You guys chat knows about it. Christian, do you know about this? He got covered on the local news. PLD, he's a real hero. I don't know if he wants, I don't know if he wants to bring it up. Oh, I think I brought it up before the show. He said he was fine. Oh, correct.
Starting point is 00:57:21 PLD, do you not want to talk about it on air? You might have to wait, Winston. Okay. Why don't we give me? I thought he was talking about it in the chat yesterday. So I don't think he was. Let's give him this flowers when we finished the games. We'll give a little bit of time to do it.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Sure, sure. You had to leave anyway. Yeah, yeah. SG1. We'll go to the games now. So these are the games, Winston. I crafted a couple of these in honor. view. So based on
Starting point is 00:57:44 internet stalking. So just understand, it might be completely wrong. But we'll just go first with the one this is based on, this is not based on you, this is current news. SG1. Okay, hold on. I had to reset. Can you hear me now? Can you hear you know? Yeah. Okay, I had a reset for a second. So let me start off
Starting point is 00:58:00 with Smet's games. Because audio listeners have no idea what this sound is. This is the logo for SmetSmeds. So much better. So much better. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:58:15 With Bradley Cooper set to play Duke and the new GI Joe, fellas, which actor would make the best Cobra commander opposite him? And you could tell if there's not one listed, if you have a dark horse here. We got John Hamm, we got Walton Goggins, Giancarlo Esposito, or Brian Cranston,
Starting point is 00:58:32 who would you want? Would we do a stunt casting here? Or do you go in unknown? If you're going Cooper, I'm going Goggins. Guggins would be good. He's the, he fits, the only problem with Gagins, though, I think Gagins is the right choice as well, too.
Starting point is 00:58:48 The only reason, the only problem with Gagins is that he seems to be the choice for everything though. That's the only, that's the only thing. As far as being a Cobra Commander, like the way that he was in the comics and everything that's too, he's got to be a little funny. He's got to be a little easily. He's got to be, you know, a little wiry. Also, those other guys are a little too cool and tough.
Starting point is 00:59:11 and I think that that's why Doggins kind of fits out of those four. You could go ham. Like that's the thing. You don't go Cranston or Esposito even though we've seen them do comedy before they're both. But like he is. But this isn't a comedy. No, no, I know it's not.
Starting point is 00:59:27 But you said he's got to be a little bit of that. He's got to be funny. Yes. Yes. While there, I have seen Esposito and I've seen Cranston, obviously, Malcolm in the middle.
Starting point is 00:59:37 We've seen them do comedy. So like that's in them. they are a little too cool for school as far as that goes. John Ham, I get your thinking to Madman, but I think about all of the S&L stuff. He can be funny. There's no doubt about it.
Starting point is 00:59:49 He can be funny, but most of his, but most of his movie roles and things. Like, I just think the first thing it comes to mind and he's done many other things. I think of the Top Gun Maverick thing. Sure.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Yeah. It's way more serious. And it's not, has nothing to do with it. And it's not even necessarily they can't be funny. It's being funny in a particular way. Which is, which is what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:00:09 I have seen John. him do it enough and I think you could pull some of the stuff that he was doing in Mad Men and know that he can take it further than that whereas with with John Carlo specific he's too cool and has become that like I'm the dude and
Starting point is 01:00:24 Brian has kind of gotten there too he could be a little Brian Brincent can sometimes be a I don't know we're spending a lot of time on us well I would say one of those guys could be you could throw him in this Destro Giancarlo could be an interesting distro yeah Desol's all right we'll go to
Starting point is 01:00:39 SGT Two, this is crafted, kind of, I think, hopefully. Which duo would be more fun to spend one insane weekend with. Carter and Lee's from Rush Hour, Riggs and Murtaugh from lethal weapon, Mike and Marcus from Bad Boys, or Vincent and Jules from Pulp Fiction. I don't think I would pick the latter, but it sounds like that would be a bad thing. Yeah, I'm definitely not hanging with Vincent and Jules. That's a hard pass.
Starting point is 01:01:03 We know your answer. Yeah, there's only one answer to this. It's close with Mike and Marcus. Yeah. It's close. but it is definitely Lee and Cada. Like it's not
Starting point is 01:01:13 at Lee. It's not close. It's between the two of those pairs for me as well, but I think I would actually side with Mike and Marcus because as long, and because the answer is, shits could potentially go down with any one of that crew.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Yeah. But the lead up going into it, I feel you're going to go to some pretty cool clubs. I might see. I think it's going to be, There's going to be a lot more like the clientele that's going to be around, Mike. It's going to be a little bit better than the other two.
Starting point is 01:01:48 You're going to be in a Miami yacht party. That's what I'm saying. And you know that you'll be well protected. Because I always feel like, you know, Chris Tucker would just, he's not going to protect you. He's going to jump off the boat. You're probably like Jackie Chan, but he's not going to protect you. I mean, the one thing I will say, he's, he's, he protected the logo.
Starting point is 01:02:06 He's protected Su young. That wasn't an issue. You know what I'm saying? like he he's been pretty good about like your grown man figure it out yourself that's that i guess that would be the only thing is that i just on top of that i'm logging into the two movies that we've seen right with rush hour or i guess three i don't really count three and then all of my internet stocking said you'd say by the that i told up with three that the um um bad boys they're getting older now so are they going to clubs like you know like marcus now just wants to eat skittles like so i don't know dude you don't
Starting point is 01:02:46 want to hang out with the pulp fiction boys because one might accidentally shoot you in the back seat and then all of a sudden you're being scraped up at the wolf's house um let's skip to pg4 by the way because it leads into it sorry sg4 and that leading into this rush hour swap so uh obviously one of your favorite movie franchises of all time rush hour not minus the third one so which actor if forced to could replace Chris Tucker as Carter and it would make the movie completely different but still work for you Winston you got Eddie Murphy Kevin Hart Martin Lawrence or Jamie Fox or is there someone that I didn't bring up that you think would have slid right in there perfect for the spot what year peak years for all of them okay so let's just say peak yeah
Starting point is 01:03:24 it's only one answer it's only one answer there's only one answer if it's if it's peak there's only one answered if you say anything else Winston I lost I just can't well you're assuming you were going to say Eddie peak. If it was like, you know, recently, Eddie Murphy, you bring up all those actors, and this is a question that came over there. You bring up, bring that picture up again, P.LD, please. Like, every single one of them, Kevin Hart has had good box office days. Martin Lawrence had a couple, you know,
Starting point is 01:03:54 here Jamie Fox had some Oscar wins and everything too. No one was as big of a movie store and as big of a powerhouse. You can take me out. You can take it off now. As big of a power as Eddie Murphy was from like 80, two into like 90. Yeah. It would, I would say of those four,
Starting point is 01:04:14 it's a close tie between Eddie and Martin, but that's the thing. They bring such drastically different energy than Chris Tucker. Yeah. To be honest with you, like I, there was a part of me for half a second that was going to say as an alternative Will Smith just because I feel like his kind of fast talking is closer to Chris's,
Starting point is 01:04:35 but that also just hits very differently. So that's rough. I would need a minute to think about that. And maybe. Maybe if that would an Oscar win. I think Eddie Murphy would have would be able to, because remember, Chris Tucker has such manic energy in those movies.
Starting point is 01:04:51 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That Rush Hour Eddie Murphy has that exact manic. Yeah. No, you're, you're right. But like, I'm like fully tapping into, like obviously he's done a lot, but I'm fully tapping into like, like the nutty professor.
Starting point is 01:05:07 Right. That's 90s. I'm talking peak. No, no, no, no. I know. In my opinion, that was the thing. His peak was two decades. Like he was kind of running shit for two decades. Totally. Totally. Yeah, the only other answer, honestly, Richard Pryor.
Starting point is 01:05:22 But you would have to be able to pull him. Yeah. Brewster's millions. Brewster's millions, Richard Pryor? Richard Pryor would absolutely crush with Jackie. That would have been a sight to see, man. Well, let's keep going. I want to torture you some more.
Starting point is 01:05:36 I'm jumping around. Sorry, I did the different order, but this is for more Winston. Do Smed's game 6, PLD. All right, in order to win $10 million, my friend, which would you rather have to watch every day on repeat for a year? Understand it's on repeat for a year, 365 days, nonstop, Dragon Ball Evolution, the Last Hourbender, or Death Note. And this is why Internet stalking is funny,
Starting point is 01:06:01 because apparently when you search this into AI, as your least favorite three things of all time are those three properties. So have fun picking one. That's, that is fair. And we're specifically talking about the live action versions of these, correct? Yes. You, I guess, publicly have shamed many times.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Very, very hard. Damn you, AI for really, really going into my business. So I have to, I have to watch it at least once every single day. No, you have to watch it. it on repeat all day long for 365 days a year. So I don't do anything else. I don't eat. You can have it in the background.
Starting point is 01:06:40 You're always going to have an earphone that's always going to be playing it. It's always going to be in every screen. Yeah. So even even on like my wedding night, I got to have. Sorry, honey. I got to have it on the sideline. Just rolling in my head. Suffer for one year and you got your 10 million.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Wow, man. You know what? You can have, you can have your wedding night off. You can have a couple hours off. Okay. I appreciate that. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 01:07:02 I would probably say, I could, I'm going to be furious for a full year, but I'll deal with Dragon Ball Evolution over the other two. The death note is so, they're all far away from what they are, but Death Note is like, I just, I can't. It's really, really bad. And the last airbender doesn't even make any goddamn sense.
Starting point is 01:07:29 Like Dragon Ball Evolution doesn't either, but I'll deal with it if I have to. like a pebble in your shoe you just got to push forward just stubbing your toe every single morning in the same exact spot that's ugh speaking of which my daughter loves
Starting point is 01:07:43 when I stub my toe because I always scream and then I start to do the Ace Ventura from when they're called and she all every time I stub my toe I'll look over at her and she'll start doing the Ace Ventura thing that's adorable all right we got two more how are we looking on time Christian
Starting point is 01:07:58 we're good um I mean we have questions and stuff like you too but we can play another one Yeah, yeah, okay. I'll save one. We'll just, we'll save one for next week. Let's go, just because we're, let's go to SG3. So we were talking about lanterns earlier. All right, a green lantern ring chooses one movie character who has never been a superhero, technically in their world. Who would make the best lantern? You got Rocky Balboa, John McLean, Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor. That's Pete Mitchell Maverick up there or Indiana Jones. Who are we trusting with the with the lantern and with the ring you guys? Let me see it. Don't take it off you.
Starting point is 01:08:36 Let me see. So who would be the one character's never been a superhero would make the best lantern. Oh, so they'd have to learn out of fly and you know, can. Okay. Yeah. They start. So are we saying the actor or we're saying the character? The character.
Starting point is 01:08:50 Okay. Okay. I would argue it's either Maverick or Rocky and I'm leaning to Rocky because I'm because it's It's not just a matter of conquering. It's not just a matter of conquering fear. It's specifically your will. And Rocky's will from the little bits that I've either seen, because I haven't seen all of them,
Starting point is 01:09:12 or either bits I've seen or just knowing the character himself. Yes, I know there are, I'm assuming there are moments where he's like, I don't do it. I know that was more Arnold than slide. But, but, but that willpower that he has every single time. and I'm almost knocked out, but I get back up and I get up again, you're never going to keep me down type shit. Like I think he's probably got the strongest will out of all of them.
Starting point is 01:09:39 I think Ripley. I feel like for me it would be Ripley because she's already dealt with aliens. She would know how to deal with interspecies relations. And, you know, we know that she has that dog in her, that fight in her. What do you think, Kristen? What are you going with? Who are you going with the Greenland? I would go with either Maverick or John McLean.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Oh, interesting. I think that from what we've seen, I like when. lanterns have a little bit of an edge. And Rock, yeah, Rock is on my favorite characters of all time. It's not much of an edge. And same thing, Ripple, they're really good, good people.
Starting point is 01:10:11 And not that McLean's not a good person. Not a Maverick's not a good person, but they, they break the rules. And I think Lanterns need to break the rules a little bit. Yeah. But I would say Maverick is,
Starting point is 01:10:21 and the other thing is the fear side of things. McLean definitely will, will jump off shit and do some stuff too, but Maverick kind of lives for the high energy stop. So I'd probably go Maverick. Maverick that is. That's fair.
Starting point is 01:10:36 All right. There's your Smet's games. There you go. That was dope. This is my 19th show. Yeah, that was good. Next week will be my 20th show. Amazing. Hey, I had fun playing with you, Winston. We'll have to do it. We'll have to do this again. I have some video game ones that I just didn't get to, or video game, Smets games for you. But yeah. Dude, you're still here for it. Thank you, man. That was awesome. So we're going to jump into the questions, again,
Starting point is 01:10:56 what I would say for people to, um, and I'm going to stick around a little later today and I answer some questions and stuff for so with smetson and wins the need to take off um I'll be here answering a little questions so what we'll do is if you want to if you're going to put some stuff today I would say put it towards the campaign we were about 48k away from doing um an in-person 16 person tournament currently right now we're virtual um we're about eight away from me posting my playlist and other things too so just trying to build out and want you guys to be a part of this thing as we're really trying to make the most clean version of this. And I can say that I reached out to a cast, potential cast member today.
Starting point is 01:11:42 And I know that this person would potentially be interested. I just know that we couldn't get them with this budget. But as we're building to it, I think we can. So if you're able to, 202044, let's try to get a little higher today if we can. All right. let's go to the questions and we'll start with the first one. And I think I don't even know really right now who's in the lead because I think we had a good stream yesterday for my birthday. I know that.
Starting point is 01:12:10 Chris had a good stream. But I think Roxy did pretty good. I don't know where we stand. Let me double. Let me double check and I'll look. I honestly haven't checked. I've been so consumed by trying to build out the campaign for the last week that things are definitely falling to the wayside. I can tell you that.
Starting point is 01:12:25 But I knew that would happen. I knew that would happen. Okay, let me see where we stand. I can tell you guys right now currently, well, I did, I guess I did a show by myself the other day. That ate shit. And then Roxy right now is in the lead. Roxy's in the lead right.
Starting point is 01:12:44 And to be fair, that was the day that we hit 200. Okay. So she's in the lead right now. But we got a shot. So let's see. All right. first one, Nathan, you got to wonder what a decision making is being made at it wonder when they give a big budget to stuff like the bride and digger.
Starting point is 01:13:05 Well, I understand they tried to do with Digger what they did successfully with one battle after another, which was let's lose a little money, but win it back in award status, but that backfired this time around. It worked for one battle. It didn't work because the other thing is even though one battle after another didn't do well because it it's just cost too much money people still saw it in the regular people or you know when the the casuals went and saw it in the theater and um it it was accessible this movie is not accessible to casual so that was so that's my question what was your what were
Starting point is 01:13:43 your thoughts on it um i gave it a 2.9 out of five and you know it's it's definitely a movie that should be and will be rewatched. It's just not the movie that they sell you in the, in the trailer. I'd, so I didn't see the, the trailer. The only trailer I saw was the, the kind of Tom Cruise kite machine. And I just was like, that's enough.
Starting point is 01:14:08 I don't need to see anything else. So I think that maybe, what do you think the movie's about? What do you think the movie's about? I've seen it. I saw it. Yeah, yeah, that's why I was asking. Okay. It's the people of holes. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:20 It might as well be. I said it was a sequel to Birdman. Kind of. I mean, I know what you mean. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I said in my out of the theater reaction for it, I was like, look, I think the acting is well done. I think the production is well done, the cinematography, the set design, the costumes, all that kind of stuff. And I think with what it's going for without trying to ruin anything, I think if you are into like kind of farce and you're into how.
Starting point is 01:14:50 avant-garde Alejandro always is then this is your movie but I just think it is so esoteric that you're not you're gonna lose a lot of people yeah you know I yeah I can respect it and in the same way that it took swings it's a swing yes yeah that's the way that's a well-made movie I can say this is a well-made movie but I don't think you understand people aren't gonna show up for this uh let's see um do you think he'll get a nomination tom truce at the very week it's a tricky it's a tricky it's tricky because the fact that it was so I think it's at 56%
Starting point is 01:15:25 with critics and there's other performances out there right now it's still why I will I'll go to the grave with the with the every category should be moved to at least eight to 10 nominees it's so we're not in the 1995 anymore where there's like so limited movies that you can like pick
Starting point is 01:15:43 there's a movie on streaming tomorrow there's a move there's a small movie out in the theaters next week there's a huge movie out. There's 75 movies on Netflix, 85 movies on Paramount Plus, and there's five nominees. It's stupid. Oh, there's a snub. No shit. There's snubs. Because you can't recognize everybody with all the movies that they're doing. Yeah. So he's going to get, I don't, I don't think he'll get nominated. No, I don't. Which is a shame because he did do a fantastic job.
Starting point is 01:16:07 Yeah, he's great. He's great. But then again, the power of Tom Cruise should not be just disregarded. And that is a politic thing, too, would have. He's a politic wise inside of the politicking of Hollywood. I don't know if there's anyone better. So it's possible that he would get a nomination. It's possible. But I just don't know. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:16:35 And it's Doc Doc. How's training going champ? Smash Mike. Oh, very good. Very good. I mean, I don't know now.
Starting point is 01:16:44 That's the other thing. I don't think I can't do a streaming match. Like that for me like and I'm not trying to like push people to donate or anything like that. But like that won't happen. I mean, that's a that's a live event thing because like I said, I promised the 16 person tournament should we fund. And we did. So we're getting a 16 person tournament.
Starting point is 01:17:05 The live event has to hit that 300 K thing. It's just, you know the expenses that go into a live event. So it's essentially the stretch goal is when you get the 300 K, you get Smith's first Kalinowski. That's that's that's the stretch goal. So we're not doing Kalinowski and Spatz virtual. We're just not doing that. So when we hit the 3-0-2, that's when that will open up. But, Doc, I am in full gear.
Starting point is 01:17:26 After he cut that promo on me last week or whatever, I was like, all right, F-U, man, I'm going full. So I have- Wait, do you cut a promo are you? Yeah, kind of. I mean, it was all in fun, but he cut a promo. So I was like, okay, you talk. It was a good. It was a good. It was a good.
Starting point is 01:17:39 Of course it was good, because it's your favorite. It's your boy, the Golden Boy. You shot Michael. Dude. Killer Kalanowski. been watching this for a long time. Big fan and friend of Christian Harloffs and I've watched all the matches
Starting point is 01:17:52 and I want to get... Do you see how different he is there though from his first match to what he ultimately became? Yeah, dude. You get to see the whole evolution. I mean, everybody's evolution like when you first... Yeah, the vault is... I mean, I enjoy uploading the matches to the vault
Starting point is 01:18:05 because it's just... We're getting so close to the first spectacular. Like if anybody... I mean, even Luke, Luke's never... Because Luke said he jumped in during like season four, season five. I think when when what did you say look when corruption was starting or something I can't remember that was like season five so he I don't even know if he's ever seen the first spectacular the first spectacular is excellent it's one it's it's excellent it's almost it's like the first WrestleMania where the first spectacular didn't work we would never done it ever again welcome to spectacular so what is the best let's see if you can remember because this is probably a smet's question over Winston's I don't know how because Winston wasn't as much of a shmow down historian beforehand but I don't of all the Shmodeown spectaclers, if you can remember,
Starting point is 01:18:47 what was the best main event? Because like every WrestleMania, you know, it's like you have like a good main event, and then some were just disappointing. Like, look at that. So 202.1. Okay, push it forward a little bit. pushing forward a little bit.
Starting point is 01:18:59 Many would argue that Spectacular 4, there was also discussions to potentially have Mike versus Smets at the end. So I will just selfishly say Spectacular 4 because I got to knock off Mike. But that wasn't the main event. There was talk about it, though. There was talk.
Starting point is 01:19:13 wasn't there that maybe because of the hype going into it that would end totally but um but we the main event for that night was baitman versus o yama but bateman baitman cleared him out and took tk o't them so yeah yeah that was rough what do you think what do you what do you think if you're looking at on paper what was your favorite main event as far as like the promoter goes well spectacular one was um it so it wasn't the best match of it i'm just Coe Best main event. Merle versus Ellis was a pretty good main event. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:46 Really, really good. That me versus Merle in Spectacular 2 was a bust. The third one was Ethan versus, Ethan versus Roka. That wasn't, that was more high. Ethan wiped the paper, though. That's a paper. Yeah, paper was great, but he wiped the four.
Starting point is 01:20:04 Four was Bateman versus Oyama. Who, I don't even remember who headlined. I think it was digital. Spectacular Five. A shout out to Mike and Shannon on Spectacular 5 when it aired. I was going through chemo and they came by and delivered like some of the greatest home cook food ever. And it was the day that, because I remember it was taped, it was the day that it was airing.
Starting point is 01:20:26 And so my family and I got to eat this delicious food that Shannon and Mike drove over, blessed their hearts and like gave to us. I thought that was great. So I always have a fond memory of that spectacular because of my arch nemesis coming over and bringing delicious food. I still think about that food. Oh, my God. Okay.
Starting point is 01:20:42 Well, there's only, you know, there's only a total of seven spectaculars. They're only a total of seven of them. So the actual five and six are in contention. Five. Five. Was Merle versus Collins. And that was a banger. That went into the sudden death where Collins took the title in sudden death.
Starting point is 01:21:08 Yeah. Which was a great one, but it was virtual. So that's why my vote for best main event would be Marisol McKee versus Griffin Newman. I think I agree with that. That was that was pretty great. It was pretty great. And then because corruption, then because of that corruption won the faction war that that year two.
Starting point is 01:21:29 And that turned Marisol until it from like a from like a star to like super star. Because it was like her second defense, second defense of the live event. Marisol was awesome, man. Marissel was it. She should be great to see. Even when she lost the title, by the way. Even when she lost the title, she went perfect. In that whole match, it was just her and Ellis,
Starting point is 01:21:49 the only two people to have a perfect game. Yeah. But Sam beat her in the speed round. Sam had like one or two more points in the speed round. That was crazy. Another interesting trivia. The last time that Smash or Smets missed a question was against Parker when he lost the title. He didn't miss one in that finale.
Starting point is 01:22:06 But Christian seems to forget about that when he, you know, says that Mike has wiped the floor with me. I never said wipe the floor. I never said wiped the floor. Come on, guys. Let's get that 300 so we can settle it. Yeah, that's it. We hit that 300. That's a live event. That's happening.
Starting point is 01:22:23 Rapid Rule, Winston and Smets, two of my favorites. Can't wait for the game. All the best to you gentlemen. And Ed Harrell, you should let people know about that live event thing too. Okay, thank you, Rapid Rule. Very nice. P.S., I really hope the live event happens. I donated when Mike and Smets was confirmed last Tuesday. Now that seems in jeopardy with the new goal. Well, I mean, it was confirmed.
Starting point is 01:22:43 It's still confirmed. The match is confirmed. The match is just a matter of like, but we have to make it happen. Right. The confirmation for sure 100% is the 16 person tournament. That was always committed. It's like that's committed. They've both committed to playing each other.
Starting point is 01:22:58 We just have to have that stretch goal hitting to the live event because, you got to pay for a live event. And they're not, they're not. I'm just not going to play in my underwear and my living room. Yeah, and so like right now the tournament is virtual, but I believe that we'll get to the 250 at least to make that happen. You got three weeks left, right? Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 01:23:16 Found happiness. Any predictions on the lanterns finale guys? Well, they kind of covered. We kind of went over that. I think the main thing is I think we're going to see at least one of their learning core. And my guess is you're going to see the Sinestro core. You're going to see a yellow ring. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Yeah, I'm really, man, I'm on board with your idea of their Avengers level style of Black Night's thing. Blackest Night. Oh, yeah. Dude, you should read it. It's fantastic. I will. I love that.
Starting point is 01:23:39 My choice, Winston's surviving the conjuring. I'm sure he'll love the second one even more. Watch during the day. Well, I mean, like I said, Winston's going to be paying intended. I will never, I will understand Winston watching the views going, please do as shitty as Rambo did.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Please do a shitty as. I'll be honest what you made, because Chris and I looked at each other and we were just like, you have the same feelings I do, don't you? I was like, yep, you're like, you don't want this to do well, but you want this to do well.
Starting point is 01:24:07 I was like, yep, that's exactly where we were. We were like, on the one hand, it's more work. That's a good thing. On the other hand, I slept an hour last night, Christian. I slept for one hour last night. Yes.
Starting point is 01:24:21 I couldn't. The creep, because it's based on a true story. That's the problem. That doesn't help because I didn't know that and literally until the movie started. And I was like, you've got to be shit.
Starting point is 01:24:30 I told Chris Carr that yesterday. She told me that as that came up. She was like, oh, he warned me about that. I was like, Because then the other part about it is, there's too many dark corners. And the way that my apartment is set up and I had to sleep on the couch last night because I couldn't, I didn't want to wake up my family. I was like, well, I have to sleep with all the fucking lights on now.
Starting point is 01:24:48 And I didn't even fucking sleep. I just sat there. I tried to smoke. I tried to drink. It didn't matter. I was just like. Yep. Why would anybody be scared of ghosts?
Starting point is 01:24:57 Listen. The second you see a ghost, the second you see one ghost, you know that the afterlife exists. You don't know where you're going to see. You're going to reunite with all your friends or family or at the. very least you're going to rattle chains and scare the shit out of people. Did you guys scream at all? Yes. You might have to bleep some, he said.
Starting point is 01:25:13 I said it. I warned up top. I said, Christian, you may not even be able to use this because legitimately, I'm a little better in a professional setting of being able to lock down on that N-word. I was concerned it was going to fly fast and free. And there were two.
Starting point is 01:25:27 There were two when I couldn't control it. And I said to the editors, hey, try and bleep this out if you can. But, but, uh, I really. hate you. I think we're going to get the stretch. We got to do something where he has to go to the Halloween Horn.
Starting point is 01:25:41 You have the right, Halloween Horn Nights? I mean, we're trying, like, we have to, I have to come up with a number of, like, maybe it's, we can include it in the, in the 300. We can include it. Live event. There'll be two horse stories. Chris Carson said she'll go with you.
Starting point is 01:25:57 There'd be two horse stories. First of all, there would be them at the Halloween Horn Nights, and there would be the crazy knockout that I would deliver on, Mike. Funny. Well, then what we need, but the problem with that is that we, adding to the stretch coasters, we have to then, you know, make sure that we are, we have to include like we need a crew to go and oh to film them yeah not that big of you'll
Starting point is 01:26:16 be honest you can put you can really you didn't even necessarily really you can put them in the lav mics with a with an iPhone and just just editing that's that's really not that big of it I could already see what it would look like I can send you to go with them I'll go I mean I'm yeah I love it it's doing it's on you to go with them yeah for Winston I'll hug you Winston I'll make you feel safe I just look at that ghost that's it confirmed I know we have to do the AVN thing for Mike though too. Oh, that would be great. Winston's like that's what you sent me to...
Starting point is 01:26:44 I'm like, I'm like that. See, now I've never said this to you before. Now I cry racism. Because why the fuck do I not get you go to the goddamn ABA? He gets to do something. I'll send, I'll send Sarah J with you. How about that? Hey, man, look, if you tell me LA Clutch is going to be there, then I then I'll do whatever.
Starting point is 01:27:00 Feel free to, if you send me with Mike to that AVM to if you need another, you know, I'll go well for you when you get home. Oh, yeah. Mike Joyce, Winston survived. Oh, we did that right, sorry. it's doc doc kept here's a five-pointer for you in labyrinth what is the name of sturdemus's dog double points if you know the name of jettys of jenny's teddy bear from labrins yeah
Starting point is 01:27:22 sirdimus okay well i think first of all i know i can tell you i already know that the jenny's teddy bear is lancelot that shouldn't be double points and the dog don't cheat i'm not cheating i'm not looking at hands up it's andbrosious umbrosius umbrosia or ambrosius ambrosius ambrosius yeah Ambrosious. Ambrosious. And he rides that dog. That's great. I'm telling you, I'm a little bit, just to say, I knew what it took to get back from cancer,
Starting point is 01:27:49 where I, everything was like brand new to me. And like, it was frustrating going through all of my old stuff. And I was like, oh, my God, I'm overwhelmed. I, over the last two weeks, I already got past that phase. I went through all of my old notes. Like, I saw all the things for the first time I haven't seen in like three years. I was forgetting stuff that you would never think that I'd forget. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:07 But now it's all back in here. It's like, it's like a memory. We're just kind of read everything's reactivated. So I'm already in fighting shape, to be honest. David Reese 1017. Hey, Chris, you big support of you in our show trending. Thank you, David.
Starting point is 01:28:18 I'll be in New York next week. And while there, I'm going to be taping of Jimmy Fallon. Have you been to a show? I haven't. Well, when are you coming in, David? Because we got some, we got some going on next week as well. I don't know when you're going.
Starting point is 01:28:30 But if you're going to be around, where the hell is it? I'm excited. Because Mark Ellis is coming back in town next week. And where's the picture? We get rid of it? No, there it is. So next Thursday, less than a week,
Starting point is 01:28:45 October 8th. Me, Sturger, and Ellis are going to be at the brokerage in Belmore. So if you're around, if you're in New York, come by and check it out. It's going to be a fun one. But I've never been to a Falun tapie.
Starting point is 01:28:56 No, I haven't. I hear it's fun. Aoshi, I'm not trying to pull that as the C-card. I'm just saying that I was away from it for eight months and I had to start from scratch. And now I've been away from it for three months. and re-teaching and re-engaging all that material. He's just saying he can hear Mike saying that, though,
Starting point is 01:29:14 because Mike, because Mike, but yeah, I know, I know. Let's not, here's, I'm going to make a statement here, too. I'm bringing this up to Mike, too. I want this to stop from now on, because I want to make a, I want to make a, I'll talk to Mike about it too. Kevin doesn't have to say anything here too, and I'm going to say, Kevin Smets is one of the strongest human beings I've ever met in my life, what he was able to do and what he accomplished in his life in general, just leading up to
Starting point is 01:29:44 eventually getting to that diagnosis and then saying, I'm coming all the way back. Don't worry about Schmowdown, talking about from life and saying the thing that has taken so many people out, my will, my determination, I am going to beat this thing. And he did it. and he is not only did not only did he do it he then took that and he made sure to let other people know vehemently that when he came back he said get checked make sure you're always you know don't don't take another day go check today it takes a little bit at a time of your day you can knock it out and he's saved lives um he continues to do that on his instagram he continues to do that on his TikTok. He continues to do that over and over again with the message that he has with the power
Starting point is 01:30:38 and the strength of what he was able to do. So I know we have fun in games here and sometimes when it crosses over. And Kevin even did it when he was coming back and saying, and he had pitched to me a few times to have the competitors use it against them and I or say things too. And I'm like, we can't do that. So I don't want that to happen now. And I know it's a goof when you're saying and the thing that you basically say, because what Mike has said, Mike and Kevin outside of this are very close and their friends, but now they're gearing up to potentially battle each other again. So I just want, I know that's fun in games,
Starting point is 01:31:11 but let's put that to the side because that's a very personal thing that Kev, and rightfully so. So let's just move past it. Real quick, the only thing I was going to say, Kev, I think the actual answer to your lantern's question is you, Brody. Like you asked, you asked which of those people would, would be like, but real talk, because the main thing about being a green lantern is willpower. And I haven't seen personally in real time a person have that kind of willpower.
Starting point is 01:31:40 Like, you, you are the example of the strongest will I've seen. So thanks. I appreciate that. However, when that green orb showed up and surrounded me and asked if I was afraid of, he, like, fuck you have afraid. They move on to the next house. Kevin knows that and I know that too. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:56 No, all good. Yeah. 100%. We're just, we're just saying moving. Tomorrow is Ostomy Awareness Day, by the way. So it's a good time to spread the word about trying to not make it such an outlier or a weird thing about how it's something that happened for me, not something that happened to me. That's right.
Starting point is 01:32:13 Sending love, and I appreciate the words, Christian. It means a lot. David Reese, 1017. Also, I enjoy when you and Campia collaborate on his channel. What does he think of training? He's been very supportive of it. Did he have any advice based based on his past experiences? Not advice per se, but he, I mean, he's been very supportive of it.
Starting point is 01:32:27 And when I come on the show, he gives me some. time to talk about it and he's done that. Right before he goes into his super chats, he makes sure that he brings it up and gives me some time to tell the audience about it. So he's been very supportive. Griffin's Shaw Media. Winston
Starting point is 01:32:43 and Smetz is an A plus duo that I didn't think I needed. There you go. Not the hero that we deserve, but the hero, Gotham need. I think you can blend together a lot of our hosts and put together some pretty good things. Yeah, I've been looking forward to being on with Winston. I told Winston on the side too.
Starting point is 01:32:59 I guess I could say it here. I'll put our feet to the fire. And he was down for it. I don't know when we'd get to it. But I'm not very good at video games, but I do have the, I do like playing them. And I thought,
Starting point is 01:33:11 there's, what is about a channel where me and Winston would play the first level of every video game. And that's it. That's it. Level one. You either call it first level or level one. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:23 Yeah. Just level one. I'm trying to beat shit, dude. Like, contra level one, one, good.
Starting point is 01:33:28 It's good. Then we go to the next one. Level one's funny. Sold. Start shooting next week. Especially with him, it would be fun. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:36 Lincoln. So Smets, K.O. now, the streamer. No, I'm confident that we're going to get to the 300. And when we do, we'll do a live event.
Starting point is 01:33:41 But we're not doing virtual matches. Yeah. The cinema kid, hey, hope your birthday was good. It was all right. I sent a message about it yesterday, but it got missed to sending this. Can't stay sick and have a great weekend.
Starting point is 01:33:54 You feel better. And thank you. But yeah. Well, the good stuff was that morning left. My wife and my kids made it special. You know, we had some gifts, and we sat around the table real quick. And then I went to work and it was a full work day. The little setback on the Kickstarter wasn't the best, but we bounced back a little bit.
Starting point is 01:34:19 What was that? Someone pulled a pledge on it, and it just, you know, it happens. It fucked it up a little bit. And the momentum shifted for a little bit. no, we're back to it. I didn't even know you could do that. Well, it's not, it's just not until you until, it's, that's why I tell people. It's not finalized until the end. And so, maybe they'll adjust it. Well, maybe, but it's up. And again, the person did what the person could do. It's, it's up to them. But we, um, so that case, because weren't, like, I, you know,
Starting point is 01:34:47 like this, you know how, both you guys know how I get. Like, when I have something that I really care about, I want to do the best version of it. And I put together a plan that I, I made this plan, the idea of, and then everybody got us to this thing. And now I just, like, you know, we just have, like, we need to do the boardwalk creatures of this thing in order to really get the people that want to make it the best way possible. But if we land to a spot where it's, we didn't do that, well, we're going to make a fucking good show, but we got to figure it out.
Starting point is 01:35:18 And I think you will. I told you this on the phone. I have no doubt you will. But it is something to be proud of of what was accomplished. Definitely. Yeah, definitely seven days. Yeah. I mean, and the audience got behind us and, and, and crushed it.
Starting point is 01:35:30 So, um, but anyway, then I got home. My, my, my wife made me, um, made me a, a shrimp scampy, which I love. And the kids, we, we had some cake and, and, and, but then, you know, they just turned into a normal night because, like, you know, my, my kid, my oldest is watching, um, South Park right now with, and we've been watching it together. The first season, she's, and she, um, she loves it. So it was Sadie tried to watch her with us last night. She's like, it's just not her sense of her.
Starting point is 01:35:56 Dude, the new season is hilarious. You know, I haven't, you know, I've only think that I've seen, like, also, it's so funny because, like, season one I saw when I was, like, college or whatever it was. And I, and I'm, and I am watching it now, and I remember, like, we just finished the Mr. Hankey episode last night.
Starting point is 01:36:13 Sure. And that was, like, a famous episode that came out at the time. And I, I don't know when I stopped watching. Maybe season two. Like, there would be tons of episodes that I'm like, I've never seen this before. I like the movie. I remember the movie movie movie a movie a movie I love the movie love the movie
Starting point is 01:36:32 Christian there's so much shit that I'm looking forward to you see like I almost wish you were doing that as a reaction series because there is so much good shit with South Park in like kind of it's uh you call it it's like adolescent sort of teenage years that is just absolutely fantastic and I and especially because you know there was doing the cultural references so you'll you'll notice like events in time and go holy shit that's how they handled that oh i can't wait for you to see that right um okay so i give up what happened what happened all right uh let's go so let's go to the next let's go to the next one oh fucking hey all right let's see found happiness happy birthday thank you so much
Starting point is 01:37:17 appreciate wiley o fc yesh yeah thank you whylie uh luke luke lily titi milk perfect what's up guys will the cut scenes are true on your turn on two the way you read that what's up guys well it cuts in the surge we're trying to just depend on the budget yeah just depends pretty ditty milk he follows it up how would the storyline
Starting point is 01:37:41 have went who's the boss would have beaten the firewolves but guys still have thrown baitment to the table oh you definitely would have thrown to the table for sure I mean that that was coming regardless we bought that breakaway table for sure that was a breakaway table damn yeah yeah we brought So dreams shattered
Starting point is 01:37:59 Yeah so we were gonna I mean He just would have went through the table with the belt on That would have been a different But yeah that he was always going through the table for sure But that goes back to it just shows you the whole thing Where Had he won those teams titles Who knows if he would have went on the run that he went on
Starting point is 01:38:22 Because he went on that run after it because he was okay singles competitor. And then he went up crushing and winning the ultimate Schmonaut. He shared for me his study secret. And I started employing it when I teamed with Andrako. And let's just say, if it ever were to have lasted and I went into the singles, I think I would have started the same pace as Bateman, but the way he, I'm sure you've heard of what he did, but no, maybe no one does.
Starting point is 01:38:49 But I would have caught up to him, I think, because it was a no-brainer, an easy, lock on how you could just get better at it he gained the system he figured out out of study everything crazy yeah um shout out to bateman all right let's see uh next one luke's green titty milk wonderful what is why are they oh okay smetts and winston can we get shrek pld please i mean we we got to do it we i mean i don't know what the number and we don't know what the number is and we got a long fucking way to go Cooley hi, happy belated birthday but so happy for you in trending
Starting point is 01:39:27 thank you Cooley I wanted to know when you bring back MTS we'll do something in memory or snap he was the best y'all being a lighten I think I would like want to do like a little maybe piece of art work in the back to yeah yeah when we do it for sure he's like he was one of the he was he was around during season three and he was like he was a huge
Starting point is 01:39:43 personality in general but we had a lot he was going to meet him do you know he was going to heal he was going to heal at one point and it was going to be a it's gonna be so much yeah he's gonna go like completely like comic book villain you know we talked i like you had him like a giant didn't you have him like a giant yeah yeah he came but he came to me though and he was just like he was like he was like he was like i'm gonna be a yeah and so
Starting point is 01:40:04 we were like going over plans on how on how he would how he would be a bad guy this is how much of a and i barely knew him i just knew him from your shows but i just always thought of him during portals um in end game and just thought like he would have loved it oh he would have loved it i don't think he made it that he didn't get to the and no I sat next to him or near him during Infinity War. Gotcha. When he was in, he was in 7th Heaven.
Starting point is 01:40:30 Oh, wow. So he made Infinity War but didn't make it. Yeah. And so I remember when that happened. I definitely thought him for sure. Of course. Okay. Next one after that.
Starting point is 01:40:44 And that is Alan Smithy. I got to go on tour of W.B. Archives recently. I saw a rack of costumes with a sign on it. saying lanterns save for season two. I said to the court got that, spoiler to me look like, oops,
Starting point is 01:40:56 you're not supposed to see that. Oh, okay. I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah, I mean, and it's doing very well right now. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:41:03 and even if they don't announce it, if there's even an inkling where they're discussing it, they don't, just from production knowledge, I know the two of you know those two. They do hold things kind of indefinitely until you're told,
Starting point is 01:41:13 no, this is done, done, and even then they still might hold stuff. So, yeah, there's a chance, the chance, yeah, we just will, like I said,
Starting point is 01:41:20 confident enough that we can, can like I said we're going to do a live event if we can pay for the live event and it's a guarantee if we can do live in listen doc if it doesn't happen and I know you've been really fired up about this please call someone first because we love you dude we love your enthusiasm and I'm sure it's going to happen uh Griffin shot media I can listen to Winston and Kev Talk DC all day you go thanks man let's try crap and shits here we go brownies here we go wolf wolf Greeny from Oz. Y2J and Shmodown would be pretty sweet.
Starting point is 01:41:53 He has been in Shmodown before. Live event would have been sick. Do you think he would have ever done a live event or you think that would have this? Yeah. Spoke to him about it. Yeah. Oh, wow. I actually was going back.
Starting point is 01:42:02 I wanted him and Kevin to be a live, live event. He would have crushed it. You would have crushed it, Chris, Jericho. Greeny from Oz. W.B. King of the Ring tournament format would be cool, including around where loser gets the head shape would be cooler.
Starting point is 01:42:16 I mean, I do think. There was, there was, who was, I think Barbarian was said, yeah, was the Barbarian that said he was going to do a head shave match, right? Yeah, I think so, yeah. It was Barbarian and somebody else, who was it? Parker, maybe, because it was over the, uh, the, the, the, with the ferret or whatever he had that, like, what was the name of the, there's a trivia.
Starting point is 01:42:34 What was the name of his furry thing? I forget. Wow. Oh, shoot, right. Oh, what was that thing? Earl. Earl. Earl?
Starting point is 01:42:43 Well, D. P.L.D. you would know. I thought it was Earl. I'd have to text him about that one. I could have sworn it was Earl. I do think if it came back, if you did it like Nate's hot dog. Elvis.
Starting point is 01:42:54 Elvis, that's right. Elvis. You could bring the Schmo down back. No one's thinking seasons again, but like twice a year, like with contest, you know, if everything blew up and,
Starting point is 01:43:03 you know, you're hitting all your stretch goals. I could see a world where like, you know, it's like Nate's hot dog eating contest. They don't have a league every day. They have it like once a year. Twice a year.
Starting point is 01:43:13 Yeah. True. King of the ring style. Derek Johnson, professional brain and Christian, how much cross-promotion are you doing? No specific details. I'm asking anything outside of YouTube. I'm trying to reach out to some podcasts and stuff too,
Starting point is 01:43:24 is that now I need other people to be able to do it as well too. But then I have the Justice League thing coming out. The Zach Snyder, same when I shot part one, Mano and Grogoo and other things. So that's what I got at the moment. And I'm going to get that, Bradberg. I'm going to start getting those shorts.
Starting point is 01:43:42 Yeah, sure. Next week. You're, like I said, that should be part of your interview or your YouTube class. You really do a good job of just interviewing. I used to always say it's like that interviewing conversational style, kind of like how Stern does it. You've always nailed it that way,
Starting point is 01:43:58 or it feels like you're just listening to two people talk. That's a thank you. And that's something for people that they haven't seen it. I'll play that. How long have you said, I want to start a YouTube channel, then you just haven't done it. Maybe you don't know what the channel is going to be about. Maybe you're thinking about equipment.
Starting point is 01:44:10 Maybe you're thinking about thumbnails. Maybe you're thinking about titles. What is your first video, even going to be about it. And eventually you spent so much time trying to figure everything out that you actually never even hit that record button. And that's why I created this 40-day creator challenge. I spent years building various YouTube channels, making content, hosting shows, doing interviews
Starting point is 01:44:30 and learning what works, and most importantly, making a lot of mistakes along the way. So over the course of 40 days, I'm going to help you find you need to build your channel, figure out your equipment, get comfortable on camera, create thumbnails and titles, understand analytics and actually publish your videos. You know, this isn't something where I want you sitting around to just watch hours and hours of lessons. You're going to have something to actually do. You're not going to spend 40 days learning how to become a YouTuber. You're going to spend 40 days becoming.
Starting point is 01:45:00 So if you're waiting to finally start your YouTube channel, this is it. This is the right time. Join me for the 40-day creator challenge and let's build the channel together. Come on. We'll have a blast. That's one of the tears that has been going pretty well too. So if you haven't checked. then. All right, let's see. Maddie B. Good afternoon, Philis. If your childhood suddenly, your childhood itself suddenly met you today, what would be the most surprised or disappointed by?
Starting point is 01:45:25 I think the confidence, I think more confidence in myself, he'd be surprised by. Disappointed by? Depends on what, if it was my 21-year-old self, he'd be disappointed. I got married. Mine would be like, wait, you never got any taller? Damn. I remember a girl said, oh, I would totally date you, and I will in high school when you're tall, dark, and handsome. Oh, no. Never got tall, never got dark. Maybe I got handsome.
Starting point is 01:45:56 But yeah. So where was my height, bro? Come on. Drink more milk. How about you, Winston? Surprised or disappointed by it. Disappointed that I haven't, that I didn't, I wanted to live in Japan for a while. And I studied abroad there.
Starting point is 01:46:15 What was her name? I knew it. You beat me by just this much, buddy. There were two. There were two. One was, one's name was Aoi. And the other one was actually a girl from America named Amanda,
Starting point is 01:46:30 who we just had a lot of, we bonded a lot over our time out there. But there's that, but then surprised, I would say, honestly, and this is going to sound wild, that I actually finally,
Starting point is 01:46:42 finally figured out like fitness for once. I don't I don't think that was something I ever thought I would ever figure out. So I think the child me would be very like happy that I finally got there. All right. Let's see Dennis. Winson, you see the Midnight Boys interview
Starting point is 01:46:59 with Vanessa Baden Kelly and Justin Brick Gibson. Never seen the pod until now, but awesome conversation on bringing truth to the John Stewart and family. Really great. No, I haven't seen the full thing. I've seen a bunch of like cutouts of it. It's on my list of things to do this weekend. It is a very great interview for one I've seen so far. Again, the writing on this, in my opinion, is stellar.
Starting point is 01:47:20 Richard's Art, became a new member. Thank you so much. Nice art. So let's see. Christopher AOTA. Forgive me if you've spoken about this. What do you thoughts on Matt Lillard? Maybe playing an older Barry Allen following the lanterns formula is the way to go in the DCU. Is that, is that be cool?
Starting point is 01:47:37 Why does everybody need to be older? I mean, if they're doing it. I know why they're doing it, though. They're doing it because I believe they are. I truly believe he is modeling closest to the DCAU that was Batman the animated series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, all that. That's why John Stewart was the lantern there.
Starting point is 01:47:57 Wally was the flash there. So you just have that kind of mentality of if we're trying to pick these particular versions of the heroes, that's where you're kind of pushing towards. Also, the separation from, you know, the debacle, what many would consider Ezra, you know? What do you think? Do you think that there's any weight to that Matthew Lillard thing? Potentially, if truly, I think that would finalize the nail in the coffin of, yes, you were doing this after that, after that universe.
Starting point is 01:48:27 And so I don't hate that plan. I think he'd actually be a pretty good older Barry Allen. 200 Jules, Jammin from Kev-O-193. Thanks. Spanky. X 100 as a Wonderbrother's employee for now. Is there a tier when I can get my resume to Mr. Freed? I mean, there's certainly that we can pitch to Mr. Freed.
Starting point is 01:48:49 There's a whole tier where you can pitch to him and talk to him. And yeah, yeah, he's got, there's, especially for those people who are curious in the, just that, that tier of going to a restaurant, that one of those restaurants for them in general. But there are tons of tiers for freedom in there for sure. Greenie, was Cruz's performance on par with Topic Thunder? Very different. It was very different. He was almost like old man Rick Flair at someone's,
Starting point is 01:49:14 but it was like, it's a completely, it's a completely different tone than what Tropic Thunder. Tropic Dunder is like a full-on comedy is where there's parts of this that are farce. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, can you take me out just for a second? I'm getting a phone call real quick. I'll be right back.
Starting point is 01:49:27 Yeah. So, now I'm gone. Bubble Smith. There it is. Yeah. It's a very strange. Well, do you want me to make a short of you trying to get you and Chris up with the,
Starting point is 01:49:43 it's fine. I don't care. It was good. Yeah. The reaction stuff is the one that we should do. Yeah, no, I'm going to get to the reaction and the Bradbird stuff. That's my main mission in life. So, Richard's art,
Starting point is 01:50:00 re-crues, people often forget. He played wild pro-male influencer speaker in Magnolia. Yeah, it's good. It was a long time. Dominate the bed or any room type guy. Yeah, he was really solid with that long hair and everything too. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:50:15 KCG, I saw Digger and I definitely had a, what the heck my watch for a moment, 45 minutes in, but got better the second half, which was funny or even riskier the first half. 1,000%. It is one of the things that I said in the review was that I love Enereat, too. I think he's a great director. Comedy is not his strength. It's just not. It's just not a funny movie. It tries to be, but it's not.
Starting point is 01:50:41 He tries to do a Wes Anderson thing and it doesn't land. it's more it becomes it plays very weird more so than funny um and the end did get better by the time i latched on to what they were trying to do it was almost over though that that was the problem it was like you're you're starting act three essentially when it's like okay let's do this and it's like why did it take me that long to get on board yeah um by the way saul texted me it was solvers craig hair versus hair he said yeah it's all told me uh armada y'all seeing other mommy not the I mean, I doubt Winston will see that one because what everyone's saying. No, no, no. I'm actually, I'm, I am, I am going to see that one.
Starting point is 01:51:20 The one with Jessica Chastain? Yeah. I heard that's even scarier than that's what I've heard too, but I, but have you seen Jessica Chastain? No. You'll go and see her in anything. I'm going to suck it up and if it's too bad, I'll just leave. Go, go rent zero dark 30 again or something. Armada, AYT, Mike and Kevin at Avians and Shmode. on outfits with the belt. People would be so confused. When I went to high, by the way, I went to my high school reunion in 2019, and I had
Starting point is 01:51:50 so many people coming up to me thinking and asking if I was an MMA fighter, because they'll just see pictures on Facebook and they're not really digging into it. They just see me making entrances in the gloves in the hoodie. And people thought I was like an MMA fighter or a professional wrestler. Well, I mean, the second part's kind of, was, we definitely, you were somewhat of a wrestler, but not really. speaking of penny barbara it was what is so funny was that i was as mike was saying on his posts that when the a i sluts thing yeah is that how he's like well you know penny you didn't
Starting point is 01:52:20 blame that on penny and it wasn't wasn't her what i will say is if you because me rach me and rachs you do follow her when we're laughing at it's like some posts will pop up and she was at this thing called fulsome i don't know if you doesn't know what this is essentially like porn comic on and and not like and not like abn where you're like, oh, yeah, it's like a convention. This is like when you think, like, if you thought like, well, this is what a porn comic would be, but they could never do that. That's what this is. And it's on the streets of San Francisco.
Starting point is 01:52:50 And for one day only, cops and everybody else goes, feel later, because there's shit going out on that street that you never in a million years would think would be able to be happened. And it's like, it's like what's the purge. And a hundred percent. Like I don't even, I can't even tell you what I saw because I don't know if I can say it on this show. Jesus. Don't get your channel to him on a day.
Starting point is 01:53:21 And I'm like, it's like it, it, I couldn't even make it up. It's so, like, it's hilarious. What the one particular thing.
Starting point is 01:53:33 I'm like, is that? Oh my God. That's happening. And who's that? What's he doing? And why, why is she doing?
Starting point is 01:53:37 What? How was this happening? How is this legal? Ah! It was one of those. Where do I search it to make sure not on the work computer? I don't know if you want to. But it was,
Starting point is 01:53:48 but it was, yeah, that's the place where, you know, like people, I'm surprised more people weren't talking about. I didn't even know the place existed. Here's the who said it.
Starting point is 01:53:58 If I die, I want you to go into my browser history, and I want you to delete, or I want you to go to my laptop and I want you to delete my browser history. Who said it? What movie said that? Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:54:07 You just said, know that you need seem to know the inner geekdom movie oh no no is it uh is it an man no no dc oh oh mike baronholz said it oh okay yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah we did that one okay marmada mike and kevin no we did that one right too sorry breaking jerry jones recruits jean love uh that's if if you weren't paying it that that was the scammer that 49ers receiver that yeah oh it's a mistake for no no Transformers joke crossover? No, I don't think it's a mistake.
Starting point is 01:54:42 Don't give up on that. I want to see what that Danny McBride, G.I. Joe, looks like. You never know. Yeah, Mike Choice, Five Jules Go team. Thank you. Beanie from Oz could try to get on, I mean, sure, give him a call for me. Wait, you got on it? I thought you were going to. I know. I mean, it's trying, he's trying to be nice.
Starting point is 01:55:00 We got Elon, we got, this week we got Elon Musk. No, he's saying it because he knows that at some point in my life, I was kind of connected to that circle. Can Ellis? I don't know if he's, if he's, nah. And like, look, and the thing is people, we'll ask Matt, sorry, he's not all the time. That's not going to do that.
Starting point is 01:55:17 You know, it's like, Matt, Matt, I don't want to hit my friend up to say, hey, can you put a call in Joe? That's one thing, if Matt, he never does that. Yeah, no, if Matt does that on his own, that's one thing, but I don't blame you for being like, no, bro, I'm not good. That's not, that's not, Matt, Matt, but Matt, it's not his, it's not, he doesn't, you know, it's not his, he doesn't, you know, it's not his,
Starting point is 01:55:36 Okay, so go pal. Winston should rent Jolene. I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is. Two more. Marathon, I just rent those numbers. I know, I know. And Craig told me, we're in the slow spot for sure.
Starting point is 01:55:51 And like I said, I'm doing that 10-hour thing. I'm confident. Are you doing two more 10 hours or just? No, just one more. I was going to do, the birthday stream was going to do who I did for three hours. But we're going to do one big 10-hour stream on the last day and try to push towards those goals. Um, go pal, far from Folsom prison. That's where I want to stay.
Starting point is 01:56:10 Yeah. I mean, there was, there was, there was no prison going on here. Everybody was free doing whatever hell they want. Probably some handcuffs, I would assume. Hey, oh. I mean, you're, you're, dude, I'm telling you, like, it was, I'll tell you off air some of the stuff that I saw. And I was like, I couldn't even believe it.
Starting point is 01:56:28 I could. I was like, I was like, because then I'm like, how is everyone not getting arrested for this? Apparently they just let people do whatever. the hell they want on uh at at this thing for like one day in san francisco and it's just like that seems to me like it would be somewhere it's like it's like a movie premise i'm like yeah you know what for one day people just walking around dude fucking do whatever they want to do is hey do you knock that can over with you dong yeah that's what i do on thursday's here just It's like, anyway,
Starting point is 01:57:04 Lukey green titty milk. Let me sign me up for balsam. Might be my favorite name whenever you announce it. Jolene is a Jessica Chastain movie. Oh, there you go. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. Let's get the hell out of here. Congratulations, Winston. By the way, I know. I'm not going to say anything public,
Starting point is 01:57:30 but I saw the thing. No, no, no, no. It's all. It's all good. I apologize. You know, I don't normally do that. So I, yeah, thank you.
Starting point is 01:57:38 Let's, that's not going to interrupt with your duties of playing every Nintendo game in the, ever, no, no,
Starting point is 01:57:42 no, no, we'll be good. Winston, what are people, where should people come? Yeah, you can find me at the swaggy bloat on all platforms.
Starting point is 01:57:49 Check out my out of the theater reactions and reviews on my channel, some comedy stuff. I'm excited. I'm wrapping up some editing on some different sketches and stuff right now. Tuesdays, myself and Roka spilled a tequila. Wednesdays,
Starting point is 01:58:01 myself and Jay Washington blurtes in the hood. And then obviously I'm here on Fridays. And I'm going to be honest, based off of the reactions that Chris and I gave, I have a high probably, there's a pretty high probability that you guys are going to make us do more of these. So there's that too. Oh, there you go. And we're going to try to find out exactly what that's going to,
Starting point is 01:58:16 what stretch goal we need to get you to Halloween horror nights. We'll figure that out too. But Kevin Spetz, thank you for your games and everything too. Thank you. Well, I got permission from PLD. I said I would use this spot just to give him a shout out, is a real life hero in our world. You could find him in the news.
Starting point is 01:58:34 He saved someone, and that's something that I don't take very lightly. So that was really impressed by that. PLD, you are a national hero. Where to find me if that's, I don't know if you still have that, where to find Smets in the system. Yeah, there it is. I have way too many channels, and I don't post enough on any of them, and now the algorithm suffers for all of them.
Starting point is 01:58:51 But there it is, level one lunatic, Kevin, the real Kevin Smets, Star Wars Squad, Ken Stomaversity. It is an awesome, Ewaughness Day this weekend. So if you know anyone who has an ostomy surgery or is an ostome, just give them some love. And thank you so much for having me on. I love all of you guys and I love the chat. And I know that that one guy was beating himself up in the chat. It wasn't about you.
Starting point is 01:59:10 Just so you know, like we love you. We appreciate all of your contributions. Ayochi or whatever, I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There was no apology necessary. No, it wasn't you at all. It was just, we just got to make sure that. And they, you know, in the same way that we were responsible for bringing the cocaine donkey thing for with Mance.
Starting point is 01:59:26 Right. And then after and it was fun and everything too. And Mans is like, it's my career and everything too. Like, can we not do that? And then you'd have a chat with the audience and go, let's, let's bring, let's, let's call it what this guy's a professional. I want to call him this week. And Mike was, Mike was cutting a promo, but he, he knows.
Starting point is 01:59:44 He knows. All right. Thank you guys. And thank you for everything, first of all. Thanks for this. This has been a really solid week. It's been, we accomplished a really big goal on Tuesday. We're getting to that.
Starting point is 01:59:57 Why is that? blurry all this. I bet I got to get closer. Stupid. But we accomplished a pretty big goal on Tuesday. We have a lot more, a lot of things to do moving forward. So if you haven't already, make sure you check out the campaign. If you're watching on the replay, please go ahead and join the campaign.
Starting point is 02:00:18 They'd be part of us. Part of this journey. And then the other thing is if you're going to be in town, if you're in New York, make sure you come check it out. Brokerage and Belmore, that is going to be on. to our eighth. The link should be in the description for that. And that's it. So thank you to PLD and to Luke and Sam and MK for doing the time code. Thanks to Jonathan for the editing. Winston, A. Marshall, Kevin Smets, the whole crew. Thank you to everybody who is here this past week.
Starting point is 02:00:44 Thanks for Winston and Chris for doing that last night for us. Looking forward to them getting the shit scared out of them. We'll figure that out real soon. So really appreciate you and we'll see you in the flip side. Bye. Did you shit, man? Thank you.
