Starting point is 00:00:00 Progressive presents, adjusting to the suburbs. You just bought a home in the suburbs, but no one told you about all the birds, specifically this one, who seems to be calling out Roy. Roy. But who exactly is Roy? And why doesn't he ever respond? Maybe Roy is just birdspeak for save with Progressive by bundling your home and auto. I guess until Roy answers, we'll never know.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Progressive casualty insurance coverage provided in service by affiliates and third-party insurers. Happy Thursday, everybody. Welcome back to the big thing. I'm excited. What a week we've been having, man. There's a lot of stuff going on. Andor debuted. You got Game of Thrones on.
Starting point is 00:00:41 You got Lord of the Rings on. You got She-Hawg. All this stuff on right now. There's a ton of other stuff that people are watching as well. And if you're expecting to see, Roxy's, uh, watch this today. Where are you shit out of luck? She's not here.
Starting point is 00:00:55 She's in, uh, she's in Boston. And she's, she's a big-time actress now. So, fuck, guys. But we did get Steph's braw. That's pretty good. It's better than having me and Brett by ourselves. I'll tell you that. Who knows what the hell we want to get ourselves into?
Starting point is 00:01:08 Who my bullshit? It'll be worse now with Steph. Just going to go off a bunch of tangents. Which maybe you're here for. I'm already on a tangent. It shows even started. Actually, did start the second I hit record. So nice to have you here.
Starting point is 00:01:21 It's me. It's Brett, Steph. We are going to be talking about TV at the moment and how good it is. There's other things coming out. There's other movies that are coming out soon. There's news that just hit that I'm curious about. I also wanted to give a big shout out. A lot of shoutouts today.
Starting point is 00:01:36 First is, even though I mentioned it on Sith Council, I got to mention it again, a fan of the show, a friend of the show now, Fernando, who hooked me up and hooked my family up. We went to Disneyland, and he hooked us up. And we had a great time, man. It was a lot of fun. We jumped from Adventureland to Disneyland,
Starting point is 00:01:54 and we'll talk a little bit about that in just a bit. But I just wanted to say thank you to Fernando for that. And the other big thank you is to Gentle John. You'll see in a moment. Holy moly, man. They sent us a bunch of stuff. Really great stuff. That's on the shelves.
Starting point is 00:02:07 We'll be talking to that in just a little bit. So if you haven't already done this, please go ahead and see it right over my face. Perfect. Go ahead and subscribe. Right there, there. Stupid ass. It's a work in progress.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Subscribe to the channel, will you? Get us there. We'll be there soon. Where? I don't know. But it's nice to see you, even though I can't see you. Thank you so much for being here.
Starting point is 00:02:31 And that's it. Let's go to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, anywhere podcasts are found. Make sure you do that. People say the levels are down. Well, hopefully, leave me alone now. Levels should be back. I'm just going on a whole thing inside of my head. I don't even know where I am right now.
Starting point is 00:02:45 It's like the never-ending story. This has to stop. Why? I can't even turn this off now. Perfect. Just perfect. It has to stop. It's unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Look at that blue wall behind you, though. We haven't even started. Let's get this fucking show started, right? It's a big thing. Come on. What's up, everybody? That is loud for a second. I didn't know why.
Starting point is 00:03:21 I don't know if you saw what I just did. But as the music was playing, for some reason, I put my glasses on. I don't know why. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever. We have microphones. We have microphones are going. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Look at that wall. Look at this setup. What do you think of the setup? It's sick. I came in and there's a whole new collection behind me. Seriously, and that's all, that's Channel Giant, man. And Brett, you've been doing some stuff, man. A little bit.
Starting point is 00:03:49 A little bit. I'm a little overwhelmed. Are you excited? In a good way. Are you excited how it looks so far? Oh, I'm liking it. It's just every day is like, oh, God, I need to do this, this, this, this, and this. And like, I sit at home and I'm like, I got to get back there.
Starting point is 00:04:02 I got to get, you know, so I'm very, very happy with everything that's been sent. It would have been nice if it staggered a little bit. You know what? Hey, we'll deal with. It's like Christmas in here. It really is. And I'm going to make it, I'm going to make you more along because I wanted to, I do want to thank you once again to the fans out there who, so basically for people who don't know what about Brett's talking about. We put an Amazon wish list up.
Starting point is 00:04:25 I went on my own on September 1st. And Brett was like, you know, maybe we do a wish list. Here we got us. Thank you. Sometimes you just can't control it. This has to stop. This has to stop. But I'll tell you.
Starting point is 00:04:39 there was uh we did this wish list i can fill another one building um we did a wish list and we told the fans about it so it went away it went away um so anyway we put this wish list up and brett and i were like maybe we'll get a few things we can build off suddenly and and then over the course of like a month maybe we'll get some maybe we want to buy them on our own and we were just overwhelmed with how much we got these lights we got the I mean tons of stuff I mean the stuff the shelves the monitors like everything was all so it's like funded by you guys and we I mean if you look at the Amazon list now there's still stuff on it but it's it is it is not as big as it once was so um there's we have a couple like I guess my face is still little shaded so we're working on
Starting point is 00:05:26 lighten me up a little bit but other than that yeah the thing it's become also like I go well it's dying down nobody's going to buy anything anymore so I just keep it as a list of things that you need to buy. And then it goes away. And I'm like, okay. Oh, and then when you did it. Oh, and then so it's, again, we are so overwhelmed with your, your kindness and all that. Well, even gentle giant.
Starting point is 00:05:49 I mean, gentle giant. I mean, they sent, they sent this stuff like I, they inquired. They go, hey, listen, we've been watching Sith Council and, and, and, um, and, um, and, um, um, capes and cowls. And would you, would you be interested in any gentle giant stuff? I'm like, what I ever. And I said, like, I'm just looking at this stuff right there. There's Bocatan.
Starting point is 00:06:06 there's Biston, the Space Monkey. Palpatina Radio, that was an old one that they, but that was from them. Canaan, Bruce Lee, Pennywise, Storm Shadow, Logan, Darkside Ray. I mean, Darth Vader, this is tons of, tons of stuff that they sent. And it's like, and I'm looking at Darth Mall over there, a Cobra Chi, so they sent so much great stuff. So we're pretty, we're pretty pumped. I'm excited for the studio so far. I am, I am.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Steph, I know we talked about it a lot on Sith Council yesterday. but for those people who are not watching Sith Council, how good is Andor? Oh, it's so good. I really feel like it's like a slow rolling masterpiece that's about to be unveiled. It really feels like that. It's epic.
Starting point is 00:06:49 It is. And I think that you're a super spy, by the way. Do you know that? Why? Because you can come in here sometimes, and yeah, like right now, look at Steph, where is she? Yeah, you look at Jeffrey Dahmer right now. I'll tell you that.
Starting point is 00:07:00 She out of focus. A girl's essentials. It's like, well, I just mean, like, sometimes she can come in here and she looks like she's like, ready to, she just like annihilated the club. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Now she looks like she's ready to annihilate the library. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:13 And it's like, but, but it doesn't look posers. It looks like legit. Here's the thing. I had a tank top on that was cute. And Christian likes to leave this place an ice cube. So I have to bring a jacket. It's the dad in me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:27 It's the dad of me. And I know I'm like, no. The glasses. I mean, sometimes the lighting's not great. And so I'm like, okay, maybe I need to wear my glasses. So I look cuter, right? You don't think the lighting is better. We have LED lights now.
Starting point is 00:07:39 What are you talking about? Yeah, no. Thank you all for making me lit. Yeah, they're better now. They didn't used to look like that. They used to be, that shot's my favorite. Yes, this is great. The blue panels, like, Brett doesn't want,
Starting point is 00:07:54 Brett wants me to get rid of the Tony Superino. I won't do it. Let's start a poll. Why would you, why would you want that? It's not that I love the piece, but I'm trying to conceptualize, like putting shelves and things there. takes up his entire shot. But I like that.
Starting point is 00:08:08 Yeah. I like it. I love when something has no actual, like, reason to be here other than fashion. He's messing with my version. Yeah, sorry. Through your cabinets. We need Tony. And the thing is also, and I want it lower it.
Starting point is 00:08:24 I want to bring it lower and towards the screen. I agree completely, Christian. Thank you. Brett wants to take a rocket launcher to it. I want to move it and push it. We want to see his face and the horse's face. I threw that up. Like last minute.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Yeah, I can see that. It's hard to see when I can't see the camera where it should go. But again, it's a problem. We were actually lucky that Steph was late today because that helped us. And by the time, and by the time, at one point we're like, you know, she's going to be like 15 minutes. Because of traffic, I know. But 15 minutes late, and I said, well, let's just open up some of the toys. So when Steph got here, she was shit out of luck because we were, we looked like, we must look like school.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Yes, like styrofoam, knee deep, just like boxes everywhere. Drills in my seats. Like, yeah. There's cool stuff in here. I just look to the left and there's like a box of like wrestler naked men. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:16 I want to see those later. Those are old school. But we got new headphones because Roxy came in here last week and we had the, the ones you have on, they're pretty big, right? Yeah. Yeah, we got new ones that the, that the audience guys are going to be able to,
Starting point is 00:09:29 it was just, again, Brett's just peppering it in. Brett's been working here like every day. So it's like, and then last week, we both got, Like, we were just both getting over being sick. So, like, he had to take, like, a week off. And I knew, I knew, I felt him. The vid?
Starting point is 00:09:42 No, no, no, no, no. Not the vid. Uh-uh. Just sick. I still haven't. I want to tell the cowbell story before we move into some of these topics. Yeah, so the other day, I'm going through some comments. Not yet, Pratt.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Come on. You're really good at timing normally. You just blew that. So there was a, um. I didn't know what actually. Functional. Yeah, it's horrible. So we were, um, I was,
Starting point is 00:10:05 I don't know what video it was, but whatever it was, someone goes, ah, you know, I'm glad you got all that stuff on the Amazon list, but the studio just isn't there yet. It needs more cowbell. And I go, don't tempt me. I'll put it on the Amazon list. So I put it on the Amazon list, and Brett, within what, 15 minutes? Oh, yeah, I saw it and it was there.
Starting point is 00:10:24 There it is. Ironic. More cowbell. I kind of want that for, they sell that on Amazon? Yeah, it was on Amazon. I want to be him for how. Halloween. Made in the US of A, too, people. Oh, my God. That's a true patriotic.
Starting point is 00:10:41 That is, like, one of my prized possessions now. That's amazing. You should put it in a glass box. I know, I should. Because of the story behind it. It's just like, you need more. The guy was just, you know, being funny. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:51 What she was funny. And then I was like, I'll put that freaking thing on the list. And it was gone within like 15 minutes. It's hilarious. Yeah, so anyway. But if you guys want to take a look at what the hell is still on that list, it's, it's in there. You can want to tell us to go, fuck ourselves. You can do the same thing there.
Starting point is 00:11:05 All right. Let's get into some of this stuff here, too. I guess the other thing, I don't know, there's so much to talk about whether it's, I think, what's the best show? If I was going to say the best show on TV right now to the stuff that's airing, I think it's a hands down, hands down,
Starting point is 00:11:24 House to the Dragon. You think Hands down? Hands down. House of the Dragon. I love Andor, and it's three episodes in. House to the Dragon is like five. House of the Dragon is the Far Superior show. is, it is, that show is not supposed to be as good as it was.
Starting point is 00:11:38 And it's so good. I agree with that. It's so good. I think it's, I don't think it's far superior. I think if I really, if I really, if I, how dare you put the words in my mouth. Fair. No, I think it probably is the best show right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:54 That doesn't mean I don't think Andor has the possibility of being better than it. Yeah. But right now, even, and you, y'all know, I did not like the first episode of House of the Dragon. I really, really love it now. It's a completely different show to me than at the first episode. They both deal in heavy politics. Yeah. And they're both done politics well.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Now, I think that Game of Thrones, the original series, handled politics. There's no doubt about that. This show is, even though it's just some big moments, it's a smaller show where it's trying to focus a lot of the politics, and I think it's done very well. We've always talked about how Star Wars hasn't really, like some of my favorite stuff at Star Wars is the politics.
Starting point is 00:12:37 And they haven't really dove into the politics in a way that it's like, well, that's so interesting to me. Andor is doing that for me. I feel like that's what Andor is doing. And it's, we talked about it again, on Sith and off camera. And I don't mean to insult people when I say this,
Starting point is 00:12:55 but I think that a lot of the people who say that Andor is boring or that it's, and it is a slow burn, but to say that it's just boring and this, There's nothing happening. I think those are the people that want the pooh, pew, pew, pew, and then I don't say. Oh, not. I mean, there's not. But when it happens, it's definitely a more mature Star Wars.
Starting point is 00:13:16 I can't comment it because I haven't seen it yet, Christian. But you've seen a lot of stuff. I have. I've watched everything. You're watching Lord of the Rings. You're watching. Wow. I'm caught up on both of those.
Starting point is 00:13:26 It's the first time that you could, and Christian said, I want you to watch these programs. These programs. Because he can talk about it. Yeah. I'm so excited. And you don't have to have FOMO because you're caught up. Yeah, yeah. It's the only way you can watch those shows.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Like if I wasn't caught up on those shows, it'd be hard. They're so dense. Yeah, a lot of these shows out right now. But to the point, like Cassie and Andor is a smaller scale Star Wars story, too, like House of the Dragon, and it's both really working for both of them. Well, look, there's no doubt that I said this in my non-spoiler review, and I said this with you already, I still think Mandalorian, in both season one, season two.
Starting point is 00:14:05 It's my favorite Star Wars content since 2012, right? And I love Rogue One. But I will say that I think Andor is hands down the best written television show that Star Wars has ever done. I'm excited. Yeah. Yeah. Because that, well, today is when it came out. But.
Starting point is 00:14:27 Yeah. Yeah. Because I'm not, I can't stay up until midnight and watch things. But yeah. I'm excited to start tonight. I started doing the, I really don't understand YouTube sometimes, even though I've been doing it for so long.
Starting point is 00:14:39 I still don't understand it. Like I put out, so I put out Lord of the Rings, like spoiler reviews, right? They do okay. They're like 7,000, 8,000 views, whatever. And then I put out a Lord of the Rings watch along, and it does like 11,000 on episode four,
Starting point is 00:14:54 which is pretty good. So I'm like, oh, well, then I did the Game of Thrones watch along and did pretty good. I thought, Andrew is going to do pretty well. All three of them made shit so far. Really? I don't understand. Unless I'd ask people, I said, did you get the notifications?
Starting point is 00:15:05 Like, yeah, maybe what I'm thinking, when I released it, I released them at like 7, 8, 9 in the morning, all three, right? So I did 7,8, 9, nerd chronic edited them for me, put them up on the channel and I put them up. What I assume is maybe there wasn't a lot of people who watched all three yet. Yeah, that's when it dropped. That would be like 3 a.m. You'd have to stay up to. Yeah, I'm hoping. So many people are, you know what, I'll check this out after I watch all the episodes because I haven't seen him yet.
Starting point is 00:15:29 At least, at least that that's my, that's my fingers crossed on it. but we'll see because that was the one I thought, okay, maybe people are going to give a shit about this. But I'm very curious, and again, at the time of this, we haven't even, we will have aired, we haven't aired the Sith Council yet when we're taping this. So I'm curious how that will do, because that's going to be a spoiler heavy on all three episodes.
Starting point is 00:15:50 We're not going to spoil episode four. You've watched four. Yeah. Yeah, so I don't want to spoil that one yet too. But TV right now, man, it's just, it's kicking ass. It's so, every streaming site has good shows. right now. Even like smaller shows. Like I just finished this show, Mo,
Starting point is 00:16:06 uh, on Netflix and the show called This Fool on Hulu. Like every show is great right now. There's a lot of great content. It's overwhelming. Out of the three that you're watching, are you watching She-Hulk? No, I still, I'm trying to do that with my daughter and we can't find the time to do it. So I might have to go off on my own because I do want to check it out. I'm so curious how you're going to feel about it.
Starting point is 00:16:25 It's like the way that I felt, and it seems it's funny because I, we, I went and saw and I can't do a full review on a, yet I can only get my initial thoughts on Amsterdam. So I am sure. I thought I was supposed to see, don't worry, darling. That's what I thought I was supposed to see. But that screen was for Tuesday. I went to Disney.
Starting point is 00:16:42 I thought it was reversed. I thought I was supposed to see Amsterdam on Tuesday. And so I'm like, I'm going to miss Amsterdam, and I really want to see it. So people who don't know what Amsterdam is, it's the new David O. Russell movie with both Christian Bale, John, John David, Washington. Margot Robbie. Margot Robbie and a slew of other people, right? And so I was, and I love the fighter. I love Silver Linings Played Book.
Starting point is 00:17:09 So I was, I was excited to see it. Oh, really? It's like, it's got such great moments. And the chemistry of the three of them, amazing. Really great. And there's some moments that you're like, okay, this is a really good movie. And then it just kind of, there's many scenes, many scenes are going to these tangents. and you're like, come back, come back.
Starting point is 00:17:33 It's like a cat playing with yarn, you know, and it's just kind of like slapping it around. You're like, come back, relax. And I was talking to the reason I brought that up in general. Winston was there and I met his, I finally met his lovely girlfriend. And we were talking about She-Hulk, and she's not a Marvel fan at all, right?
Starting point is 00:17:53 She loves the show. She-Holk. Yeah, that's what he was saying. And so for me, it made it pretty clear to me also that what this show does well is that it aimed towards a particular demographic, and it succeeded. And I think that what people don't understand is when, like, you know, you give, like, give thoughts.
Starting point is 00:18:12 And I said, I just don't think this is for me. And I saw a lot of different people go, what do you mean? It's not for you. How do you know it's not for you? What do you mean? Are you Texas? That's the idiots that say that, right? Then there's the other idiots that say, oh, well, it's okay to just say you don't like
Starting point is 00:18:26 and you hate it because it's a trash show. And it's like, you don't understand. The show is succeeding for the audience it is going after. Now, I do think that this show did make a mistake, though, because I think, and maybe that's going to start. And at this point, I think the episode is up, and I haven't seen it yet, the new one. Neither have I.
Starting point is 00:18:50 But the thing is, and maybe they change it. As soon as Daredevil comes in, I think it will change it. But what I was saying to Kristen, who was Winston's girlfriend, I said, the problem is, in the Allie McBeal side of it, it succeeds, right? In a comedy, I think, set for women, I think it succeeds. What it doesn't do, people are like, oh, well, it's Allie McBeal was just a straight-up comedy. And so what do you expect? It's Allie McBeal.
Starting point is 00:19:15 I'm like, yeah, but the difference is, Allie McBeal came out as an original comedy that said, okay, we're doing this thing. And it didn't, it wasn't connected to the MCU at all. It wasn't connected to Marvel at all. Wasn't so. So, but, or it wasn't connected to anything. thing. This show is connected, whether you want to go, well, or doing our own
Starting point is 00:19:33 thing, it's still connected. So when they did it right, and I think in the first two episodes, like when they connected, whether it was Abomination or whether it was Hulk and the way that they played it in, and the Wang stuff went all over. Longer is. I think it, it just went into
Starting point is 00:19:51 a different place and it almost turned into him into like just a, it wasn't as consistent as his character was in the past. But I just don't think it's connected as well to Marvel. And I think that's why you're losing a lot of the core base. But you love it, right, Steph? Yeah, I think that it,
Starting point is 00:20:07 none of the, a lot of the Marvel shows have been, like, good to me. Not great, like, I'm not obsessed with them. I really loved Wanda Vision. Everything else in Miss Marvel was good, but, like, it's not like I'm, I'm never going to revisit those shows. Right. It relates to this show, though. I love this show, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Episode 5 was the weakest one to me, because it just, had zero action. It's about a trademark for half an hour. Yeah, but the rest of that, but I do love the show. I think it is strong in a lot of areas, but I do think I would like a little more action. And I think that that's the thing is that if you're, so, but I, this is why I, as much as I say to people who are going,
Starting point is 00:20:47 well, you know, I don't like this because it's trash. Those people have a right to, if they're, if they're in it for a Marvel show, like an MCU connected show, and that's what they thought they were, were getting all the way through on it. Then I understand them being like kind of bummed about it. You know, to be fair, though, to them, right, they always said this is, it was, if you
Starting point is 00:21:08 go back and look at whether it's the animated or the comic book, it's consistent to the, to what has always been there. So I don't know. It's, it's, being mad about it. They've said this is going to be a comedy since the beginning. She Hulk is a different character than a lot of the characters we've been presented. To me, it's been pretty obvious what they're going to. put down and I feel like to you if you don't like it that's okay but it's like for you to like project
Starting point is 00:21:35 your emotion and be like yeah it's just trash and you just can't admit that no dude I know I know I know what I think I know what I think but it's fair for them to say like look it's always the same thing of like if that person goes and I and I respond to people positively when they write this too I'm glad people are enjoy this but I think this show is garbage that's your opinion and that's Fair. To me is the thing. It's just always to me. You have every right to say that.
Starting point is 00:22:03 And as long as you're not insulting, I think it's terrible. I wanted to like it. It's, the humor is not working for me. I think it, I don't, this is again, this is, I, I've, I did not like the last episode at all. And I almost told Winston, I'm close to bailing on it. But like, but I want to see the rest of it. But, um, but I can see one of the people go, I like, I like Jennifer Walters,
Starting point is 00:22:22 the character. I do. And I think Tatiana Mazzani is great. But I've also seen people going, I don't like her. I find her obnoxious. I don't find her likable. Fair. People going, you should feel that way. You should do that. You're wrong. You're a shill if you don't do this. It's like easy. Easy. This is a problem. And look, we're out of place now. And I understand this. Like, you look at, like lower the ranks transitioning to that. Has this show been what I was hoping it was going to be? No, not really. It's, it got better in that last episode, like another show that I was like, oh, I don't know. It was starting to feel like work. First episode to me, I did something I never do
Starting point is 00:23:00 and I checked my phone like seven times watching it. I was bored out of my skull. Oh my goodness. The first episode. I was really bored. But it was important to set everything up. Yeah. Second episode I thought, okay, this is more of what the show is going to be. The third episode I thought it was fine. I thought they were trying to be Game of Thrones really
Starting point is 00:23:16 badly. Because there was like this over-the-top violence that I had never seen in any Hobbit of Lord of the Rings movies or anything. I know they're different entities but still connected to the same kind of feel, right? So there was, there's like bones breaking and guts getting eaten and blood. I'm like, well, that's very Game of Thrones. I'm like, they're trying to push the limit.
Starting point is 00:23:35 So I remember I did that reaction. And I said, all right, I'm going to watch this episode. And if I'm not in, I don't know if I want to keep doing it. Because that's the beauty of me being able to do my stuff now. It's like, I either do it, I want to do or don't watch it. Fourth one got me, though. But man, there are places that are just dedicated to trashing on this. show, like dedicated for it. And whether it's sincere or not, I mean, it very well might be.
Starting point is 00:24:03 But there's, it's crazy how we're in a place now. You've got to realize this. And it's people's brand also to not like stuff. Oh yeah. There, there is, there are people that are making significant amount of money on not liking stuff. And it's in their brand. Like they have, I thought about this the day, like some of the, some of the places that that review stuff that they don't like or if they think things have an agenda. Can they. Like, what if one of those places that was reviewing, like, say, She-Hulk and was hating it and knew they were hating it and talked about the agenda and all that stuff? And then they watched an episode and they really liked it. They can't say that to their audience.
Starting point is 00:24:42 Like, they can't. Because it goes totally against their brand. And they would go, so, well, what happens if they legitimately like it? I'm just so curious. Like, I would love to sit down and, like, talk to them and be like, you know you're going to get a straight answer or anybody. It's the same thing like sometimes when people really love something in particular. They love it. But that wasn't a great episode.
Starting point is 00:25:03 It was pretty bad. Nah, I was still good. And they find it and they find the positive out of everything. And it's like, well, isn't that great? People are positive all the time? No. I don't think so. I think it's better than negative.
Starting point is 00:25:13 I agree with that. I agree with that. Because you have a whole team and people who put their livelihoods into these projects. Peace is better than hate. Yeah. Even though we do Sith Council. But still. Yeah, I don't know, though.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Like, I feel like this idea that we all have to like the same things, and if we don't, that we're mortal enemies is so dramatic. Yes, but on the same side of that, though, it's like if you don't, you know, if you say a negative thing, but if you do it respectfully and you say a negative thing, people will throw you in a category with the hateful people. If you don't like something else. No, yeah, that's what happened to me at the first House of the Drag episode.
Starting point is 00:25:51 I said to me, right. And everyone's like, you are a hating woman. It's just this extreme. It's extremist on both sides. And I say that people go, give me one more episode. I'm giving it one. It's true. It's like it's an extremist point of view on both sides.
Starting point is 00:26:09 People go, no, it's not just both sides. It's one side. No, it's both sides. Because I've saw something on Twitter not too long ago, somebody saying something. I'm like, what are you trying to do there? Like you're the only thing that you're going to, and I've said this many times over it.
Starting point is 00:26:23 The only thing that you're going to do is the people on your side are going to go, yeah, tell them, Steve, Dave. And the other people are going to go, you're a moron. It's very rare, very rare that you're going to get the other side going, oh, yeah, you're right. I'll look at it your way. I'm going to do it. I don't notice.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Twitter sucks. Well, we've lost discussions. Discussions have become arguments. Right. It's never any, like if you said, well, I didn't particularly agree with that first episode. I said, well, you know, and I think we had that same conversation with Roxy, where Christian said, well, no, I disagree with you, but I see your point. And that's a discussion, but going, you fuck you!
Starting point is 00:27:04 Yeah, that's what it is. You're making no point. You don't know how to watch television. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it's, but again, it's the same. It's like the same side of it where it's like, like, where I saw Laura Kelly, who I respect immensely, right?
Starting point is 00:27:20 she didn't, she didn't like, or she, she was bored with Andorra. She didn't like Andorne. Now, I did say that I think that people, some people might be expecting the pew, pew, pew, and I don't necessarily, Lord, Kelly is a very intelligent person. And so when she might just be watching Star Wars for a different reason, probably, or, or, excuse me, expecting something different from this show. And that's okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:46 That's okay. And again, even the people that just want the, the pew, pew, pu, and, all that stuff too. They're right, man. I don't care. That's like, and that's the back and forth that I like to have with people. Like, that's why I always say it's impossible to have like those conversations with people, like whatever it might be because they don't want to, whether it's somebody who's
Starting point is 00:28:03 ultra positive, they don't want to hurt their brand, say something negative against somebody and then they, they don't, they can't get guests so they can't do this so they can't do that. That certainly happens. It's not these stupid assholes who say that people get paid off by this. They don't get paid off. No one, I've never, never heard of money. However, people will say, yeah, but not money, well, you got to let it to the premieres and you got to do this.
Starting point is 00:28:28 How about you still go to the premieres, don't you, Harlow? Yeah, and I took a dump on Thor's face. Still invited back. Yeah. And it's that you can do it, but you do it, you do it right. You do it like, you know, but I do think there are people in that positive side of it that won't say the bad thing because they don't want to say the bad thing. And that's their brand. They can't.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Same thing with the hateful people. Like I've thought about it. What if somebody who just shits on Lord of the Rings all day long? Like that's it. They've 7,000 videos about how horrible it is. And they watch an episode and they fucking love it. They're going to go on their channel and say, fuck. No, they're not.
Starting point is 00:29:05 No chance. They might give you like, yeah, that was better. It wasn't as much of a travesty as the other ones were. Step in the right direction. No, they wouldn't even say that. They wouldn't even say that. No fucking chance. I love that.
Starting point is 00:29:19 Yeah, and it's hilarious because it's just like, you know, and even even a conversation like this, you know, somebody, somebody stumbles across it. Well, of course you guys say, well, whoa, whoa, you gotta go to Denny's anytime soon? Because we did, we did that Denny's thing for like, it wasn't even Star Wars. People didn't even realize that. Denny's came to us. And so we have, we did, we for Jedi Council. We did a, we fucking did a few episodes from, from Denny's. I remember that.
Starting point is 00:29:44 That's amazing. Yeah, well, and Denny's reached out to us. It was fucking Denny's. It wasn't Star Wars. They had a deal with Star Wars. And because we had seen Sith Council, people like, oh, well, Star Wars paid you to do stuff. And Denny's like, no, Denny's dead.
Starting point is 00:29:58 And they paid collateral a lot of money. Well, what do you think, like, Star Wars is a dictatorship where if they even did pay people, which they don't, that they would just, like, murder you off if you had your own personal opinion. I know. Yeah, no. And we gave, if you go back and watch those episodes, we talked about the episodes themselves, like the things that were going on. We were still as objective as is everything else in the past, whatever.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Ford with Andor. By the way, you want to speak about, what are you talking about before, like me waking up and having to do, like go take the kids at Disneyland and do a lot of stuff too. You get tired, right? Brett, I got something for you, man. Let's do it. Geology. This is the bomb.
Starting point is 00:30:42 And I wouldn't even expect that, like, when you hear you, like, well, what, wait a minute. Christian, why is this for us? You told us that you're only taking sponsors that make sense for your audience. So what the hell is this? Well, this is men's skin care reinvented. Geology, baby. I've already started using it. I had those bags under my eyes. Man, they're going away because of these guys. I love them. Now, and I'll tell you, being doing everything, being a content creator, especially on my own, I'm working a lot of long hours now, and I got my kids, I got the wife. and just using this cream has helped me. The puffiness, the tired eyes, all of it.
Starting point is 00:31:22 People are saying, oh, you look like you have more energy. I'm like, no, you've got the same lack energy. No, not true. My energy is better. But 50% of guys suffer from under eye issues like dark, under eye circles, puffiness, tired eyes, fine lines and wrinkles. For me, I've been using geology for a little bit since they scented not too long ago. And it is easily my favorite product. It's the eye cream that lasts for a long time for the dark under your eyes for many guys who have struggled to find a solution.
Starting point is 00:31:50 And geology is a nine-time award-winning men's skincare company and recognized in men's health. Esquire, Ask Men, 5,000 plus five-star reviews, man. They're really great. And geology gives a lot of other things you could do. It's fight acne, reduce oilness, prevent wrinkles. You fill out like this quiz, and it basically breaks you down and says this is exactly what, this is what, you need. And geology, by the way, it's G-E-E-O-L-O-G-I-E. G-E-O-L-G-I-E. And if you go to G-E-O-L-O-G-G-D-E-G-D-E-C-E-G-E-G-E-G-E-G-E-G-E-G-E-G-E-G-E-R-E-E-E-C-E-E-E-R-E-E-R-E-E-E-R-E-E-E-R-E-E-E-R-E-E-E-W-E-E-E-E-L-E-E-E-E-W-E-E-E-E-W-E-E-E-L-E-E-E-W-E-E-L-E-E-E- the description and as you saw during that um as i was talking about them i have the i card that pops up
Starting point is 00:32:47 i do that for all the sponsors by the way i have the eye card it pops up and you can get it there so sometimes you're too lazy to look in the link but i want to go in the description but just want to click on something well there you go back and go click on it and let me know that's how you help the show people want to know well i didn't get a chance to go to the amazon list i i wasn't able to do patreon i couldn't do um a super chat on scean live what can i do get you help you out get a get a get a good a get some geology, man, and then let me know about it. With one of the best savings rates in America, banking with Capital One is the easiest decision in the history of decisions.
Starting point is 00:33:22 Even easier than choosing Slash to be in your band. Next up for lead guitar. You're in. Cool. Yep, even easier than that. And with no fees or minimums on checking and savings accounts, is it even a decision? That's Banking Reimagined.
Starting point is 00:33:41 What's in your wallet? Terms apply. See Capital One.com slash bank for detail. KTS, Capital One and A member FDIC. All right, let's move. Let's move. What did I say in the beginning? Stop this.
Starting point is 00:33:53 This needs to stop. This needs to stop. What are you doing? Getting fat? Yeah, I just, I don't know. That angri was so bad. What are you eating? I've been eating really well.
Starting point is 00:34:03 I don't know. It's just not, I got to exercise too, I guess. Yeah, that's how it works. I do stupid things. I do stupid things. I'll tell you what. I went to the doctor for my physical setting on for a bit, and I knew it. I was like, my cholesterol was bad last time.
Starting point is 00:34:17 I'm like, it ain't going to be good this time. So I started like, you know, doing, all right, let's fire up on the salmon, do everything else I was doing. Because I'm going to need these pills. So I'm like, I'm going to cut pizza out and everything too. So this is a stupid thing that I did. I get the results back. She's like, she's like, it's still high.
Starting point is 00:34:35 It's the bad cholesterol is still high, but it's not as bad as maybe we thought it was going to be. And it's like, oh, great, let me go get some pizza. Stupid asshole. It's really good. It's dumb. Joe's is the best. Have you had Joe's? Not yet.
Starting point is 00:34:48 You may, I tried pizza wagon because of you. Oh. And. This is excellent. Okay. So now you trust. Now you trust me. Yeah, yeah, I trust you.
Starting point is 00:34:57 I would tell you that pizza wagon is really good. The problem with pizza wagon is it doesn't do very well on, on the sit. Like if it sits, that is good on the sit. Oh, good. I thought you might have on the toilet. I love eating while I'm taking a shit. Yeah, for sure. You take a dump.
Starting point is 00:35:15 It cuts out the middle, man. It just goes right through it. Well, that happens sometimes. You'll be in the middle of eating a slice of pitch. You go to the bathroom. Oh, yeah. It happens. It's good.
Starting point is 00:35:25 Steps out of like she really did. Oh, I felt so good. Let me get. Out of the world girls, who's the biggest fart? Let me guess. I'm going to, I'm going to guess. Okay. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I could see. It's weird because I don't feel like Roxy's ever farted in her life. I would, and, and, and. And was Doreena could either be too cool for farting or too cool to care if if you did fart and you cared. So I'd say Steph. I'd say you're the biggest farter in the three. But you guys are recording. I'm totally going to remember that you said that.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Forever. I'm saying with the three, you guys. You guys are filthy. I'm notoriously. I don't really fart. I'm a burper. Like really, like the way that my, I have an excellent digestive system. It's like, honestly, I should put it if I ever had a dating app.
Starting point is 00:36:17 It's one of the top two things. Yeah, like that. But if I ever get bloated, I just burp. Like, it's an instant relief. I don't fart. So it's Dorina. She's never far. Neither of them, I'm telling you, neither of them of us have ever farted in front of each other.
Starting point is 00:36:32 I just, I don't know why. And it's not that I think women don't fart. Of course, we do. Like, there's times I'm sure. Women can be very disgusting. Of course. Yeah. Of course.
Starting point is 00:36:41 But we just haven't farted. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. When am I lied to you guys? Not even the silent but deadly slip out. No one ever destroyed. No, we wait until we're locked in a car together. And we just fire one out.
Starting point is 00:36:57 We all start at the same time so we can sniff each other. Don't start painting fantasies for people. Yeah. Yeah. They're going to lose their minds. Do you hear that story? Steff just all? They all get in the car.
Starting point is 00:37:08 We're the farting sisters. I have a new idea. Okay, George, what do you got? Well, we're going on. Oh, my God, that was my, that's the inspiration. Oh, the world girl's hand. I have a picture on left and right. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:37:21 How are these? Oh, you put it on a loop. I was like, how does the farts keep going with no button spring cross? It goes on for a while. He loop farts. It's just a classic loop fart. You don't know about this? Nice.
Starting point is 00:37:32 I think there's a, it's like a range of different ones when they come in, too. Yeah. Oh. Here you go stuff. Do the face. When Kate hears it, she pretends, she actually did it. The two react to which one it was. Ooh, that was it tough.
Starting point is 00:37:51 Oh, she's mad about that one. Whoa, step. Easy. Steph. Steve. Oh, wow. No more chose for you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:03 Welcome to the fourth grade. It's hilarious. It's never not funny. I'll tell you what, my, when my, my, the little one. It's like a World War II tank. And she does not give a shit. Like she's, she just sits and she just rips one. I go, Maisie.
Starting point is 00:38:21 She was, I had to go. Oh, I'm like, you got it. Oh, all right. Fox or Fox. Never hold them back. Wow. Anyway, there is some stuff that I saw. Good transition.
Starting point is 00:38:30 There are some stuff that I saw that I wanted to talk about here. Apparently, Cameron Diaz was retired because she's coming out of retirement. Oh. And she was eight years of absence. from the screen. And this isn't an insult to Cameron Diaz. I just didn't know she was retired. If you would have told me she was in a movie two years ago,
Starting point is 00:38:51 the problem is this. It's not that, well, didn't you not see her in anything? There's eight billion streaming movies. There's movies that people have been, I feel like Alexandra Dodario, who I like a lot, is in a new streaming movie every Thursday. And it's like, Cameron Diaz, if you would have told me she was in seven movies
Starting point is 00:39:09 over Netflix and Amazon over the course of four years, I just didn't see any of them. So I didn't know she was retired. Did you? Yeah. I definitely noticed her absence. I love you, Cameron Diaz. Welcome back into the game.
Starting point is 00:39:20 I randomly saw her. It might have been sparked my interest when I saw her out of Whole Foods like just chilling. Like a normal, just chilling. And then I was like, how has Cameron Diaz been in a movie lately? And I looked it up nothing. Yeah, well, that's your answer. Your answer is that she's been retired and she's coming out of retirement. And exactly.
Starting point is 00:39:41 and she's joining Jamie Fox in calling back in action at Netflix. So I was right that, you know, streaming is where people go now. Diaz made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and part of the people was the title, it seemed, and Diaz said she got back into the groove quickly. I like Jamie, I went to Jamie Foxx. I like Cameron Diaz. So, yeah, so I'm excited for it.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Now, wait a minute here. Now, this is news. Quartet return for New York. Beverly Hills cop they're actually putting Taggart and Rosewood together what that's great Netflix has said that Judge Ryan Hall John Ashton who played Taggart and Paul Reiser and Paul Reiser's coming back
Starting point is 00:40:21 too that's great and Bronsonford are all coming back for Beverly Hills Cop Axel Foley movie all right I'm crossing my fingers for this one man it's Mark Maloy is directing what did Mark Maloy do let me know let's see I'm going to see Mark Maloy IMDB let's see Mark
Starting point is 00:40:38 Maloy IMDB let's see what we got from mark maloy nope that's not even close to right it's not how you spell mark i i got to achille mallow i don't know how that fuck that just happened kill mallow oh wow yeah you got him no you got comma a a this is an absolute night this needs to stop this needs to stop yeah this guys seriously mark maloy there he is okay let's see what he's done right so mark maloy is known for the Taylor Predict him and this can't be right
Starting point is 00:41:10 This can't be the guy No that's an actor Forget it I'm over this Forget about it Forget about it But the point is That he's back
Starting point is 00:41:20 Yeah he's but not he's back But Axel Foley's back Now have you ever seen the first Beverly Hills cop Yeah Okay well sometimes you don't see that Yeah I know
Starting point is 00:41:32 You're right I looked at Christian Like he was so wrong Like I just accusing you of being the farder of the world girl. Yeah, that, I need to write that, man. The day was September 21st,
Starting point is 00:41:43 2022. I, no, I saw that one. Yeah. Okay. There's Eddie Murphy, right? I'm going to throw you out of this. If you don't remember it, then you didn't see it.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Maybe I didn't see it. I thought I saw all three on HBO. Maybe. I mean, there were three, but you don't remember them. You don't remember them. Do you know this song? Do you know this song.
Starting point is 00:42:06 It's not from it. Yes, it is. It's Axel Foley's theme. It's called, I think, Axel. It's called Axel. Yeah, Axel F. No, you guys aren't kidding it. Play it for a second.
Starting point is 00:42:20 That's the ding. I've heard that on. What the fuck was that? What the fuck was that? I like that. You said to look at you got your. foot caught in a chainsawes. You know when it breaks down the beat.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Oh, good, an ad. You know when it breaks down, the beat breaks sound. Axel F is the name of the tune. Play it. Just the beginning. Stupid thing. You suck. It's not, no, it's one of these, like, where I can't skip the ad.
Starting point is 00:42:55 I don't need an Accura. Yeah. Yeah, this is, maybe I just heard the remix. All right. I know, before we get a copyrighted. We probably will Anyway So we need to do a rewatch of that
Starting point is 00:43:16 Okay then yeah Because clearly I don't know Maybe I was on the edge There's no chance if you don't remember it It's a class It's one of the best It's maybe his best movie of all time And I love
Starting point is 00:43:27 Everettos cop is one of my favorite movies All the time Damn Yeah This is just totally out of the blue But how do you feel about the new Fletch? With John Hamm Yeah
Starting point is 00:43:37 I think it was kind of buried right because I never heard was Amazon Prime? Yeah, I don't know if it's so it's out or is I think it came out. Oh, it did? Oh, okay, yeah. So then it must not have because I don't know. Nobody's really talking about it. That's always like, but that's not, it's, again, there's just so much stuff out there.
Starting point is 00:43:55 And it's like without the proper buildup, it's hard for movies right now. Because it's the same way it's hard for movies the way it's hard for, I think I'm telling you, the more and more I think about it. Netflix needs to get rid of the binge model. They have to. They did. They are right. Right?
Starting point is 00:44:10 I don't think so. I just watched the COBRA. Maybe some shows. I think in the next few months they're moving towards that. Cobra Kai would have been in so much more of the conversation had it been week to week. And it deserved to be because it was such a good season. And it starts off and it's like, okay, that episode was fine. That episode was pretty good.
Starting point is 00:44:30 And by the time you get to the end, you're like, holy shit. And it's like, but you have to knock it back in like three or four days in order to catch up with the timeline because of all the shows we were just talking about. Corpacai should have been in that discussion. If Corbykeye was week to week. It's not good. It's awesome. If you never watched it? No. You would love it. Oh my God. You would love it. I need to watch it because people I really respect say how good it is. But every time I see a photo of the show or the or like a clip of it, it feels CW? Yeah. Like free form. It's not. It's not. Okay. So it's so have you have you seen karate kit? Yeah, of course. I don't say of course.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Of course. Because we just got into this. I know, but I'm Asian. Like, of course. I'm like wax on wax off. This is like you. So you remember it well. Yes, very well.
Starting point is 00:45:17 The second one. Yes. The one with Jaden? No, that's a different. That's not in the same universe. Yeah. It's not in the same universe? Different karate kid.
Starting point is 00:45:28 Oh, as Cobre Kai. Correct. Okay. Yeah, not well. Then I don't remember that well. So you should, before you watch, before you watch Kobe Kai, at least season three, you should watch the third one because there's a lot of like they can't they connect it the whole the whole thing is connected it's essentially the reason why I like
Starting point is 00:45:48 the show so much is because they treat the karate kid universe the way I hope that sometimes Star Wars is treated like the kind of respect that they have for the material you feel it inside of this universe of what they've built now when they announced the show I was like, no. And I had had both John Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. Josh Hill is also one of the creators, but those two guys in particular, Mark and I had on the Shmo's No Show back in the day when they were doing, I think it was, I always forget if it's American wedding or American reunion, but I'm pretty sure it was wedding. Anyway, they directed it and we had them on, and it was early days of Twitter. Twitter was like three years fresh or whatever, and I saw them. They were going, at the time,
Starting point is 00:46:36 there was some kind of comment they made about Back to the Future. and how back to the future they would love to do it and people would went after them now if they said it people would be like oh give those guys a shot so what they did but and i was like hey i'd love to have you guys come in and talk about that and then your movie and and john heritz is a sweetheart of a human being he's such a fucking good dude um and he was like yeah i'll come in and not that hayden isn't but john was the one who responded to me and and i've just had a i've had a pretty good relationship with him moving forward so when those guys were announced i was like i like them
Starting point is 00:47:07 but approaching a karate kid series on YouTube play wasn't even Netflix was YouTube preview whatever the hell was I'm like yeah I don't know this is gonna be terrible and then I heard somebody say yeah you should you should check it out it's not bad and I loved it and I love what they did and it they do for this series though you have to as you watch it once you get to like season even season two they take it a step further every time like it's it gets it it's to a point where like people are having sword fights and everything too at one point But you're like, wait, and karate kids, like, yeah, but they get there. It's like, you know what Fasten the Furious did for, they did that like switch number five?
Starting point is 00:47:47 And they said, we got to, we can't just be a point break rip off anymore. We got to switch and take this to the extreme, but they did it well. Cobra Chi is still in the spot where it's done really well. So we're Fasten the Furious now they're going into space. And it's like, they're just making money. They don't know what to do. Cobra Chi is not there. They're still making quality, quality content.
Starting point is 00:48:03 So, but you should check it out. I think you, I really, I think you love it. Okay, I will. Roxy loves it. Yeah. Roxy loves it. You and Roxy, that's what I'm saying. I've got to do that one on my own.
Starting point is 00:48:13 I don't know if, because Lonnie checked out on it. And, but we didn't give it much of a, I'm like, maybe I should try to get her to do that one. It's so fun. You know, that, that's what it is. But I don't think Karate Kid had the same, like, appeal to her as it did for me. Like, that was. Right. But that's what I think they do so well in this series is that they were able to take any, and they,
Starting point is 00:48:34 and they combine it to a younger generation by putting, like, Miguel and Robbie and Samantha and Torrey and putting all them in there, that is what allows you, like, my 10-year-old wants to watch the show because of Peyton List, who is, who is like a big Disney star, and she's, like, one of the main younger kids inside of it, and that's what they did that was so smart. And I think that that's, you can really, and the women in the show, I think that there's, that's, that, Cobra Chi, I feel like every single time you can just talk about. about Cobra Kai. Cobra Kai, to me, does it really well.
Starting point is 00:49:08 There's a lot of stuff in Cobra Chi that women can relate to. And there's the Daniels. Periods. Birth control. Yeah, birth control, period. Cleaning up the house. No, no. Sammies, making Sammies.
Starting point is 00:49:22 They have all these, but they have like, whether it's the relationship side of it, whether it is, you know, Daniel's wife, I don't want to ruin certain characters, but there's so many people that come in here. that I think that that's probably one of the reasons Roxy really likes it. I think you can relate to it where I think you can relate to dudes, you can relate to women, you can relate to, and it's a perfect, as they say, balance in the show. So, anyway, I'll always talk about
Starting point is 00:49:47 Cobra Kai, but I would really love you to watch it. Okay. When you watch season one, I'll come back and tell us, but you should watch, you should watch three, though. Three's not, and this is another thing, what they were able to do. Three is not a good movie. It's not. And even I had, I just had Terry Silver, on Thomasine Griffith who plays Terry Silver.
Starting point is 00:50:08 And he even says, the movie itself is not that good, but what Cobra Kai has done is make that movie significantly better. Really? Yes, significantly better, because it's the lore of the characters. They have even taken that tone from Karate Kid 3, infused it a bit,
Starting point is 00:50:25 and still give you really emotional moments in the other seasons. And you go back and you go, well, that's the lore, that's how we got there. It's interesting how they did that. It was a very smart move. What's also smart is making sure. Yes, you, but also putting the bet down when you got a discount, man. And I got one for you.
Starting point is 00:50:47 So, my bookie is back. Now, let me ask you a question. Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers, Mack Jones or Lamar Jackson. It's a show Young Guns and the old guard. Nothing makes these matchups more excited than having skin in the game at My Bookie. It has super contest, survivor pools, double deposit bonus that gives you everything you need to secure the bag. Steph, listen to this.
Starting point is 00:51:06 What you can do, if you put in the code, big thing, you start simple and you use that code, you will double your first deposit instantly. So that's promo code, big thing. And you double your deposit. So whatever you put in, you're going to get double. And you'll up to a thousand bucks with my bookie. It's not your grandpa's bookie.
Starting point is 00:51:24 This is my bookie. Put down your money and put it where your mouth is and get rewarded for it. Begin your winning season today. Go to my bookie. Use that code. man, big thing. Hopefully people are using this thing, especially now.
Starting point is 00:51:37 You're going out there and you're placing bets and you're not, and you're not doubling up your money. Use the damn code. Go to my booking. Use big thing. You'll thank me for it.
Starting point is 00:51:47 Okay. Let's see if there's anything else. We've got. Cameron Diaz coming back. What else is? Sherlock Holmes, is that? No.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Hemlock Grove. What the hell is that? What's Hemlock Grove? Does anybody know what that is? No idea. Netflix is pulling Hemlock Grove from the servers. Why?
Starting point is 00:52:02 Who fucked up? She shows you what happens? That's right. Netflix has quietly announced that it's a movie one of the first series. The three-season long horror fantasy hemlock grow from its platform. Does it say why? The move along with HBO Max's recent removal, original programming is due to cost, has raised concern. I don't know enough about it to care.
Starting point is 00:52:23 I don't know. So never mind. We're reversing out of that article. That's true. Isn't it weird how the internet really grabs stuff that you're, So Zbiotics is a thing that we're working with. We just had, do you know what Zbiotics is? No.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Oh my God. This is a full, this is a free plug for Zbiotics. I'm going to go to them right now. Let me show you. This isn't even, this isn't even to read. You know about Zibiotics. Watch Steph's face when I tell her what Zibiotics is. Zbiotics, what you do, Steph, it is a pre-alcohol probiotic drink.
Starting point is 00:53:00 So when you go out to the bars, before you go, you take one of these. And you don't have no. You got no hangover when you wake up the next day. It breaks it down. I feel like I need that more than me. Show the box. You know what? I'm even going to put the link for Zbiotics down there.
Starting point is 00:53:17 I'm going to use this on Saturday. I got to get some more. You can take mine. All right. Anyway, it's Zbiotics. She fell in love. I feel like I'm like Bulba from Dragon Ball where she has the little. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:32 It's amazing. It's amazing. All right, anyway. So what else we got back here? I want to see if there's anything we should be talking. Oh, do you know, Tom Hardy, you heard of him, right? Yeah. He just actually won a martial arts tournament.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Whoa, what? That's why, like, when he was fucking people up in Warrior, very believable. Yeah. Yeah. Very believable. That's one, that movie is still criminally underrated. I watched it.
Starting point is 00:53:58 Andrew Guy was like, it's my favorite movie, blah, blah, blah. I was like, I hadn't seen it. And it was the beginning of the, the pandemic and my family and I were all like together. And so we put it on and we're like, where the fuck were we? Like this movie wrong. Underrated movie. Yes, it's so good.
Starting point is 00:54:14 That movie came out. Ellis and I saw it for the screening. And I remember going, this is the most realistic MMA movie. So this other movie that Michael Mann did or was it Michael May? No, it was Mammett. It was Mammett. And he did the Black Belt. Oh.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Every time they were doing the, Fighter is a great box movie. But every time they do, MMA in the past. There were these movies where they would do, it was like a crime element involved. It was everything. They never treated like a sport. And they treat,
Starting point is 00:54:44 this one was, the way that they, it's powerful, man, the Nick Noltey stuff. Oh, that was so, that was a Brett to the future.
Starting point is 00:54:51 That was one that, uh, people said, oh, this is, because the whole point of that show was, show me something that like was underrated, not a lot of people took it.
Starting point is 00:54:58 And I, yeah, that was amazing. And yeah, Tom Hardy definitely. Could fuck people. Yeah. My favorite story is the one I,
Starting point is 00:55:04 Because Navid told it. I'm going to try to get Navid to tell the story. He's told it before, but where's my phone? I lose my phone? Like, perfect. Hello? Oh, wait, I got it. Hello?
Starting point is 00:55:15 Hey, Siri, call Navid. Perfect, thank you. Hey, Siri, call Navid. Calling Rebecca. Yeah. Let's see if I can get him. I'm going to tell him. He's told this story before.
Starting point is 00:55:29 I'm going to see if I can get him to tell it again because we're talking about Tom Hardy. Yeah, you're on the air. What? You're on the air. Oh, great. Good. Hey, so we're talking, you know, Tom Hardy just won a martial arts tournament somewhere. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:55:44 It's like Brazil or something. He just won something in some, wherever he was, but he just literally won a tournament. Mm-hmm. So I said immediately, I was like, you know, I know Navit's told this story once before, but I got to tell, you got to tell the story when Tom Hardy almost killed Winkleman. Wasn't Winkleman because he wasn't there, but it was Aaron. No. No.
Starting point is 00:56:06 He thought, he thought Aaron was. Oh, right, right, but it was because, but it was because of Winklman. Because of Adam. All right, so can you tell that story? Am I allowed to cuss? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And Winkleman was my assistant, and I called back to L.A. and said, hey, you know, I want to take the cast out for a night on the town in London, maybe a dinner or something.
Starting point is 00:56:32 Can you make some reservations? He had called the Gacho Club, which is a members club. It's kind of like so else. He called Gacho Club and said, hey, we're shooting rock and roll, we want to try to get a room where we can have whatever. And they said, oh, yeah, our client, Tom Hardy's on that film. We'll just put the room under his name. Well, we didn't end up going to Gatro Club.
Starting point is 00:56:55 So at like 1 o'clock in the morning, they called Tom Hardy, and they're like, hey, are you going to come use this room? And I didn't know any of that. So the next day, Tom shows up to set and comes walking up, because they had said someone named Adam called, and he walks up to me and Joel and Aaron was standing behind Joel and he goes,
Starting point is 00:57:14 Who the fuck is Adam? And Aaron was standing there and he's like, well, I'm Aaron and Tom walks up to him and just starts ripping him and new one going off on him. And then I realized what had happened and I stopped him like Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom. It was Adam, my assistant.
Starting point is 00:57:36 And there was just a misunderstanding when he had to bubble a line and all worked out. But the funny thing is for years Every time Joel and Aaron were around each other If Tom Hardy's name came up Joel would look at him and go Oh Tom Hardy was going to kill you Can you imagine Tom Hardy coming over
Starting point is 00:57:53 Trying to let No And that was before, even before Warrior But so we were talking about how good Warrior is Yeah So it was way before Warrior Yeah It was even before
Starting point is 00:58:02 What's the one that he blew up off of? Batman No no no The one where he was The prisoner, the British Oh, yeah, Charles Bronson. Bronson. Bronson. Bronson.
Starting point is 00:58:14 It was before Bronson. Oh, wow. Wow. Anyway, I, cool. Good. I'm glad. I love that story. So I'm glad you told you got to come back.
Starting point is 00:58:20 You got to come back on the show. I will. Anytime. All right, brother. Later. Who the fuck is Adam? Can you imagine? Can you imagine, like, you're just working.
Starting point is 00:58:31 You're Joel Silver's assistant. You walk in and then, like, Tom Hardy, like, just wants to kill you. No, thank you. I'm okay. I'm good. Anyway, I love that story. So, yeah, he won tournaments. So no one's surprised.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Anything else here? Don't worry, Darling's heading for a solid debut. Interesting. The other, Women King did very well. Again, I missed, I've missed so many movies. I'm so pissed off. I missed Woman King. I missed, don't worry, darling, and I missed a barbarian.
Starting point is 00:58:59 I missed those two. I'm mad. Yeah, me too. And I missed them because of sickness. I missed him because of scheduling. I missed him yesterday. again oh Disneyland I'll talk to you guys about Disneyland so again friend of the show Fernando had reached out he reached out to me at first because Brett had said something like
Starting point is 00:59:17 you guess you're not a big you didn't like going to Disneyland and stuff right oh no no he reached out to me too I just you just reminded me that I totally forgot about that you know because I was had some back and forth and I just never came up with a day initially reached out though because I think you had said something about like you had an experience or something you didn't I don't know if you liked it or whatever yeah he wanted to make it a better you wanted to show even on the state late and he did and he showed up and he was so nice dude i didn't even realize that he did this he because he dropped off his kid from school and then he he met us i thought he was actually working that day and he wasn't he was just coming to give us the
Starting point is 00:59:47 tickets and he got us tickets got us new eventually and walked us into the park super nice guy and i thanked him i said anything he'd do phrasing now i just want people to have a good time you know that's what i like to do here and show people like the and he was such a sincere you could just tell on someone's eyes you're just like a sincere genuine human being and i was like oh man this is like and and this again going back harking back into the what I said before remember this and this is for anybody anybody who makes content anybody who takes a tweet anybody who who does it you'll get and and I'm and I'm guilty of this too you'll get a negative comment and you'll sit in that comment and you'll sit in there and you'll go why does that particular
Starting point is 01:00:26 person feel the way that they do about me because it's the human being in you and you go why does that happen why don't want I mean should I react in anger should I be sad No, what you should do is find the other comments that are positive because there's a lot of them out there. And there are a lot of good people out there too. There's a lot of shit bags. There's no doubt about it, but there's a lot of good people. And someone like Fernando made me realize that also.
Starting point is 01:00:49 I mean, I've been realizing a lot more lately. I even put a poll out on the YouTube channel. I said, does it seem? You also want to know, yes, the audience. I did this whole thing. I said, does it seem as if I'm happier doing this than I was in the past? And yeah, it is. And people are, why do you, again, most people,
Starting point is 01:01:05 99% super positive comments and have it. And it's why do you need people to validate whether or decide whether or not you're happy or not? I'm like, no, no, no. I'm telling you that I know that I'm happy right now. I want to see it the audience. It comes across. Yeah. And it's those positive comments that you've got to look at and you got to see that.
Starting point is 01:01:23 And I started looking at things that way. And I see someone like a Fernando and when I met him yesterday, he just has those eyes. You're like, this is why we do what we do for people like that. So I want to thank you to Fernanda for being so kind to myself, my family, for getting this and this and then. We did have a good time. I'm definitely taking my daughter back because my oldest, because the youngest, we had to bail by like three or four.
Starting point is 01:01:47 She's just too little. Yeah, it's a lot. She's too low. She's tired by that point. I need to go back there and get goofy ears. I wasn't able to do that last time. Yeah. Especially because you're one of these people who's just blanketed and sadness and hate.
Starting point is 01:01:58 Yeah, I really need to pick me up. Yeah, you seem sad. I'm so sad. Something we haven't done in a while, we have to do and I told myself I was going to do this twice was sad I'll be sad here it is hell so you and me
Starting point is 01:02:16 and you and everyone Dan Di Stefano now you know now you know and I'm going to tell you about my simple show I like to play with eggs I like to play with cheese and every little while I'd have to say please
Starting point is 01:02:33 oh yeah sure he does he's standing on the table no it's not a table It's actually a chair No, it's not a chair It's actually a squirrel And he's standing on a squirrel But he didn't hurt the squirrel
Starting point is 01:02:49 And the squirrel And the squirrel tasted good Then I regurgitated the squirrel Then I did the doing that I'm my special cousin And I let her in the door I don't really underpin What for
Starting point is 01:03:10 One time she killed a squirrel With a glance And then she got really excited And she did a little dance She did it with my grandma She did it with my grandpa. Not that kind of did it. She was just dancing.
Starting point is 01:03:26 We're back, everybody. We're back. She's just bouncing. That kind of did it. Not that kind of did it. You know what I want to do? No, we fucked. I want to play a song for Steph, and then we're going to close it out.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Because we had our first musical act on the big thing last week. And you've seen this song. You have seen this song live. So I'm going to play this song for you. and I want to get, do you remember Jake Lewis at, when I did stand-up comedy? Oh, yeah. And at the end, he closed out the show with the song. So he came on the show and did, he did his song.
Starting point is 01:03:59 He's good. He's really good. So here's the song, Gary. We'll actually close out today again with Gary because I want to give Jake his props. Oh, bye-bye. All right, here it is. All right, everybody. So thank you so much for watching Thomas Ian Griffith, man.
Starting point is 01:04:15 How cool is that dude? He's the best. God, I love that guy. He's so awesome. Exciting to have him. All right. What a show. And it really, again,
Starting point is 01:04:26 supersized Monday. Looks like a lot of these times I have these supersized Monday shows. And they're going to keep coming. So what I need from you guys is please put a like, comment, share. I'm going to say that again later on too. So you know what?
Starting point is 01:04:38 I'll let my, old me is talking for me now. You haven't already. Please do me a favor and subscribe. Thank you to Carbon Health today for sponsoring this episode. And we got a special treat, man. We got a special treat. Now, I have never had a, on my old shows,
Starting point is 01:04:54 whether it was Shmoh's No or something to or who had musical guests, hadn't had on big things. So closing out today on the show, Jake Lewis with one of his, this is, I think, I think this is an exclusive where he's never, I don't think he's ever saying this on a podcast before. Okay, so he's never had. I've only seen this live on stage of flappers. So here it is, and this is, and the song is called Gary.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Gary, yeah, just to give you guys a little context. Oh, that's at Joy Mode. Oh, oh. Just give you guys a little context. I've been listening to a lot of, like, proclaimers, like I would walk 500 miles, stuff like that. You know, like songs about everything a guy would do for a girl, you know. Like, I would climb mountains and stuff, you know, like really manly shit.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Yeah. But, you know, when guys talk to each other about what they would do for things, It's like all of really homo-erotic stuff they would do each other. Like, would you suck a dick for money? You know what I mean? You'd a conversation you'd have all the time. Would you suck a dick for that sandwich? He asked me that at lunch earlier.
Starting point is 01:06:02 But I didn't want to do anything. I like, honestly, this song, like, I just wanted to write it for my girlfriend, who's hopefully watching right now. And I just wanted to make it a song about what I do for her. I would swim across the ocean, every river and every sea. I would climb the tallest mountain. In nothing but my bare feet, I would do anything for you to be here with me. I would sleep on a bed of nails.
Starting point is 01:06:46 I would jump out of a plane. I would sleep out in the cold or even in the pouring rain, just to see my baby once again. Hey, hey, my favorite food I would give up posting on Insta with the hashtag mood I would do almost anything for you When this is my truth I don't mean to be crude
Starting point is 01:07:16 But I'd even make love to it Maybe I shouldn't have said that last But you know what I'm trying to say Please don't think me homophobic You know I have nothing against the gays I'm just trying to illustrate The lengths that I would go, whoa for you
Starting point is 01:07:38 Because I would do Almost anything To feel your warm and brace And even let the Dallas Mavericks Bukaki on my face I don't mean to be disgusting And I don't mean to be crass But I would let my best friend Gary
Starting point is 01:07:55 Fuck me up the ass I would be his lover boy I would kiss his supple lips And after some wine We would suck each other's dix I Gary After some love
Starting point is 01:08:26 Making me Graves I would no longer be cursed To living in denial Me and my best friend Gary We will walk right down the aisle Oh God Teresa
Starting point is 01:08:38 If you're listening out there I'm sorry We can be just friends But Gary It's always for you Go ahead I love you I have a question for you
Starting point is 01:08:49 I'll marry me Gary me one time by her in victory So good So good I think the next time he comes on I gotta have him sing another one Yeah
Starting point is 01:09:17 He's so good That was my favorite from his set He said what we were talking about it It was like It wasn't even planned Like when he was on a Monday It was like I went to break
Starting point is 01:09:25 Because I had Thomas Ian Griffith On that interview So I said hey you know I rapped with him And I go do you want to stick around He's like I got my guitar in the car I'm like do you want to sing a song And he's like yeah
Starting point is 01:09:35 And I said which one should I sing it Like he's like Gary I could definitely sing Gary So anyway, so if you haven't checked that episode, you want to actually see the footage of Jake actually singing. You can go and you can check it out. That's on Monday's episode. But this is Thursday's episode, and we've come to an end.
Starting point is 01:09:50 So I want to thank both Steph and Brett for joining us here today. And thank you guys. And I even think, you know, today with the question of what is the best show on TV right now? Let me know. I want to know. Is it Lord of the Rings? What are you doing over that? Are you hiding from us?
Starting point is 01:10:06 She discovered the new chairs that can. Oh, do you like the new chair, by the way? I love the new chair. Is it better than the dining room table chair? Yeah, yeah. I love the new chair. Watch. Yeah, see it much better.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Oh, you love that. All of a sudden, I'm taller. That's, I got those. All of a sudden, I'm shorter. Do you see the Maya Rudolph that I see? The Maya Rudolph. Oh, yeah. She always reminds me of Maya Rudolph.
Starting point is 01:10:27 That's such a big compliment. It should be. That erases your, not quite erases, but gets better than you're the farter. Yeah. Well, I just thought that maybe it's possible. Mm-hmm. Yeah. No?
Starting point is 01:10:38 I knew it because of the poop story you told us. You thought that it was true. No. Oh, not true. She was so much. She's very guarded in her excremental. I got to play. I got to play that video of the animation.
Starting point is 01:10:53 So good. They did. Yeah, I need to post that. No, no, I can't post that. Why? Because it's incriminating evidence. It's out there anyway. Any animated version.
Starting point is 01:11:02 But it's out there anyway. Yeah, I know. Maybe I'll do it on like Twitter. You ever become famous? That's getting out there. 100%. but then they'll be worth it because I'm getting paid a lot. That's fine.
Starting point is 01:11:11 To share my poop stories. I'm glad you added stories at the end of that. Yeah. You want a piece of VCs? Hey. There was a woman who made a lot of money selling her farts in a jar. Yeah. And she was like a famous what, YouTuber, Instagram or whatever.
Starting point is 01:11:26 She sold her farts. Her farts. And she made a lot of money selling her. But she also got sick because she was doing things to fart so much. I think that's true. Listen, I could be making this up, but sometimes things like this just pop back into my brain. She got sick to her stomach
Starting point is 01:11:43 because she was taking all these things to fart so much and it actually was detrimental to her. And now I think she sells fart and empties. Oh, yeah. Yes, I'm sure she does. Joy mode that just popped up. All right, listen, thank you for joining us. We appreciate you.
Starting point is 01:11:59 Thank you for joining myself, Brett, Steph, everybody.
