When I spoke to you last week about it, shockingly, you said that you're your second favorite team, which I still don't really understand, but I respect it. It's only because my whole family lives there. My mom grew up a diehard Yankees fan. So, like, it was in the household. I understand it.

I get it. Yeah. But I would understand if you were like, I can't wait for the Dodgers to win, screw the Yankees after that because you're Red Sox girl, right? And you have the added bonus that you live in L.A. Okay. Yeah, it has been fun here. I will say people are in kind of a good move.

Sure. And so, but I would understand it because you have the reason with the Red Sox thing. Winston's a Rangers fan. He's such a front runner, and I'm going to call him out. So, I don't even, I'm ignoring his text because. he's been so ridiculous that I don't you can't be a rangers fan and then just become a dodgers fan because you live there and i've been calling him out on on the air i'm going to call him out on friday and you know and big balls is really upset with him too he's going to talk to him too yeah so this is the one thing big balls and i might agree on who knows that's right that is very i'm very excited that was the case so Winston knows how to get under people's skin that's for sure it's true especially with sports stuff I never have a game that's like very important to Boston without getting some kind of a text message from him.

With the Joker sequel, about to hit Digital, after disastrous box office run, the film star Joaquin Phoenix has revealed that his take on the character is almost part of another film. Appearing on... What is this now? Tetragamat Mation?

Okay, with Rick Rubin. Phoenix revealed that he had talked to Christopher Nolan about potentially playing the clown prince of crime in the dark night. Heath Ledger ultimately played the Joker in the 2008 film

posthumously winning an Oscar for his work. 11 years later, Phoenix won an Oscar for his work in the Joker. or Joker rather. Feenex says he can't recall much of the context of the conversation with Nolan and how it went, but he definitely remembers meeting him over the role, and he explains. I remember I talked to Christopher Nolan about the Dark Night, and that didn't happen for whatever reason. I wasn't ready to. That's one of those things where it's like, was it in me,

well, what is in me that's not doing this? And it's not about me. There's something else. There's another person who was going to do something. I can't imagine what it would be if we didn't have Heath Ledger's performance in that film, right? I don't know whether Christopher Nolan was coming to me saying, you are definitely the person. I can't remember the context of how we met, but I know that we met, and my feeling was I shouldn't do this. But maybe he also was like, you're not the guy.

I couldn't say, but it went the other, but it went the way it was supposed to. 2019's Joker went on to make $1.7 billion, yada, y'an. So this is more so of like, yeah, he got probably really close in whether or not he's saying that Nolan wanted him or not, He doesn't remember how it went down. But I think he ultimately says the conclusion that we're going to come to you and I,

which is fate stepped in and we got the performance we were supposed to get. You know what I wondered about all of this? How do you do an entire Joker 1 movie, all the press for Joker 1, and then we get to Joker 2, all the press before Joker 2. And this story doesn't come out. but why why now probably get some more press on it so somebody will watch it on digital did you know what I mean like I clearly he made the choice that he was like I'm not going to tell this story and then he changed his mind because otherwise he would have told the story

at some point in the last couple of few years but he didn't and decided to say it now It's interesting. Yeah, it's probably coordinated also. And probably figure, or enough time has passed that he figured he could say it. And it's interesting also because. But a year ago, enough time hadn't passed when he was, I mean, this month was impressed for the movie. I'm not saying it doesn't make any sense. It's just the movie's not doing well.

And I think that it's a fascinating time to kind of be like I was always supposed to be the Joker. The movie's not not doing well because he wasn't great. He's amazing. Everybody knows that. He's so talented. Right. So I don't know. I kind of was like, huh, that's wild story.

You know what is interesting, though? Because you remember how good he was in Joker and the reason when he won the Oscar and how people thought he was just fantastic and one of the best performances of the role since Heath Ledger? And some people even had Heath won Joaquin, two, even over Jack, right? So I do wonder, though. like do I wish that he would have been cast over Heath Ledger? No, absolutely not. I don't think there's a person on the planet who wishes that, right?

However, if he would have been cast and Heath Ledger had never stepped into the role and he would have done what he did, then it would have been even more of a renowned, people would have loved it even more so than ever because he was, in 2007, pretty respected, even, you know, and probably more well-known obviously than Heath Ledger. If he would have been cast,

you remember when Heath Ledger was cast, everyone was like, what the hell are they doing? They're cast in Heath Ledger? Is it a Joker? I don't think you would have gotten that with Joaquin Phoenix back then. Hmm. I don't know. You think so? I think people would have been, people would have been on board with it and said, okay, let's see what he's got. He's a good actor.

There's a little bit more, I think, to him, and I still think he would have done a great job. I just push back on everyone about everything. That's true. I can't imagine the announcement in the internet being like, Yay! Right. No, no, I understand. But I'm saying,

well, there's times people get cast. When Corn Sweat got cast, people were, people are on board with that. You know, when... A lot of people,

but a lot of people were like, a no name. Who is that, right? You're not wrong that there's always going to be... The question is the majority.

Where's the majority going? I think the majority was against Heath Ledger. I don't think the majority would have been against Joaquin Phoenix. Yeah.

But like I said, do I think... my time honestly like not the movies but i was not in the industry yet so i don't remember there being any backlash against heathletcher oh wow yeah there was at all that's because what what year would that have been 2009 he must be cast in 2008 yeah forget what year because i wasn't living out here yet so where i was it was like just another casting announcement it wasn't until i started doing the show with you that i even found out that that was a controversial pick Interesting, yeah, because it was, and that's, I guess I furthers our point how we always talk about how the, the mainstream audience doesn't really pay attention to a lot of this stuff and know, like you talk about with your, with your grandparents, so they don't know who's directing what or who's doing what. And sometimes maybe they go, oh, I know who that is. Now, it was your grandmother who just, who just realized who Clinton, Quinn, Quinn, Dad, your dad, who just knew Quinn Tarantino was right, right.

who thinks that this is a man with potential. Right, right. So it's very interesting. It's very interesting. So, I remember, I don't think I could have told you at the time. You know, TDK trilogy is my favorite of all of not only my favorite Nolan movies, but also my favorite of any superhero movies. And it was from the second that I saw The Dark Night, I was like, that's my favorite comic book movie. But I don't even know if I could have told you Heath Ledger's name at the time.

I don't remember even knowing that he was cast. just going and seeing it, probably afterwards, looking up, like, who was that? Did you never see Brook back Mountain? No, I did, but I don't think that I, like, clocked actors like that. Okay, that's great. And then 10 Things I Hate About You is the other one. I loved that movie. I probably was like, oh, that's the dude from.

Okay, it was one of those things. I don't know that Heath Ledger was even a household name for me at that point. Well, either way, it doesn't look like, you know, Joaquin Phoenix will wind up playing Joker ever again, at least. I don't think so. You never know. Never say never because after the first movie, we didn't think that. Well, the first movie made a billion dollars.

This one. This is less likely. Another story that I wanted to talk about today was we've, and it seems like there's more and more. I know that you heard about that Margarabi things. You hear about this with Netflix? No. So there's a movie that she was planning on doing.

And it looks like it might, I don't remember the name of movie yet, but it might fall apart. And it's because, again, of the theatrical release. producing or starring in it? I think she's doing both. And I think it might fall apart because they are pushing back on theatrical release again because that's not Netflix's model. I don't think it's a coincidence

that Margo Robbie is saying this now because her and Greta Gerwig are tight. And I think that they're going to, I think that actors are going to start to strong arm Netflix into doing it. And I think it's already starting to happen because Greta Gerwig's Nornia could potentially come to IMAX.

Oh, this is crazy because you and I spoke about this. Yeah. Netflix is reportedly in talks to release Greta Gerwig's upcoming new film adaptation of C.S. Lewis is the Chronicles of Narnia novel series on IMAX screens globally, according to a new report at Bloomberg. It goes forward. It would, if it goes forward, it would be one of the streaming platform's biggest business deals

with cinemas to date. The Barbie director has stated before how she wants to release Narnia and cinemas. In recent weeks, there have been rumors she may even walk away from the project over this issue. Netflix has steadfastly resisted cinema releases for its films to date aside from small awards qualifying runs. Part of that is due to Netflix and major theater chains never being able to agree on a business model as cinemas want Netflix to withhold films from its streaming services for multiple weeks or months. With IMAX, though, which now has close to 2,000 screens in 90 countries, Gerwig, and the project's producers have seen an opportunity. The outlet says the giant screen exhibitor has signaled to Gerwig that it would add the film to its slate of upcoming movies if Netflix agrees to a deal. The trade says discussions are in an early stage and no decision has been finalized, and said screenings would be conditional on the approval of cinema chains like AMC, Regal with House IMAX screens.

Netflix is expected to spend at least 175 million or more on the film, which is the first in a planned number of films that has tipped to adapt the entire seven novel series. Previously, the first three published novels were turned into films and the first four were done for television. You know what I think was, let me just interrupt you for a second there. I'm not let you finish Christian. Like Mike Connell. When I was listening to your Billy Magnuson interview, my man, Billy. something that he was talking about that I thought was really interesting that he briefly mentioned was the disappointment of Roadhouse not coming to theaters. Yeah, and I thought that was a brilliant question on your part.

But the way that he answered it was really vulnerable because it is challenging to speak on these things. But he speaks about one of the real reasons why it's such a bummer for the artists when these movies aren't released theatrically. And it's not just that their work doesn't get to be seen on the biggest of platforms. It really messes up a lot of people's money, finances, contracts. You don't get the same kind of back end. You don't get the same kind of rewards. And it's the artists who really suffer. And it's the platforms that the streaming services that get these that really benefit,

but not the artists and then they don't get paid for the streams because that was not That was not a fight that was won during the strike. The transparency is barely there. So I think that when we come to Greta Gerwick, of course, a lot of this is about being seen on the big screen because Narnia should be seen there. A lot of this is about her having an over billion dollar movie in the box office and knowing that she is capable of creating things on this level. After Francis Ha, after Lady Birch, this is now the level that she is at. And a lot of this is probably about her protecting her artists, knowing that these actors and the, the writer, I don't know, maybe she wrote this. I'm not sure, but director herself, that they kind of get screwed on these deals when it doesn't go to theaters. So I think that that's a big part of it that's kind of not being spoken about.

Yeah, I agree with all of that. I, and I'm just going to play devil's advocate for a second, but I agree with everything that you said. I just think that, you know, the difference is if I'm Ted Sarandos and I'm Netflix, I'm like, yeah, but that was always our deal. We didn't just, like, change it. It's like it was always our thing. So if you're making a deal with us, you know that's part of it. And again, if it's told that the report that we always talked about in that last one was that she was kind of told that they could change it a little bit. And the guy who was there before who's no longer there was kind of advocating that, you'll get this done.

We'll get you some theatrical. And maybe that's why she signed the deal. But, you know, as far as them, they could. could say, well, you don't want to do that. And if you hear that report, it's also because they got to deal with the theaters and the theaters want a certain cut and they don't want. And then Netflix has to wait to put it on their platform and that's the whole reason they want to put it there in the first place. And they don't really care about the extra money that they're getting at the theaters because it's insignificant as opposed to what they could be doing with new subscribers that sign up and all that

stuff and whatever. But I do think with this much pushback from people like Greta Gerwig, who is hot right now and Margot Robbie who is arguably the the biggest actress on the planet with those two pushing back and leading the charge very similar to how strikes work don't be surprised if more big actors start to do this because of what you just said because of the money because of those things and I think you I don't think this is the last we're going to see of this the IMAX deal is nice it is something that I would like to see Narnia in IMAX I think that's how I would like to see it But I think Netflix is ultimately going to be strong armed by big actors.

This is going to be more of a common thing. And the good thing about that is when negotiations come up again, I do think that streamers are going to be more willing to hopefully be transparent and give cuts to artists because they're going to see it's not working. Their plan to be like, oh, we'll just put it on streamer and keep it all for ourselves. isn't working. There's so much pushback against it. So maybe they're going to be more willing in a few years to say, you know what? Here's actually how we're going to do it when it's released on streaming services.

Here's what back end points look like here. Here are the benchmarks that we need to get to in order for people to be receiving X amount of money. Because you're right, Greta Gerwig does have power right now in Hollywood. Not as much as the big studios have, but she does have some and she's making waves. And so is Margo Robbie, who you said arguably the number one star on the planet. And I had never thought of that before. I would say, yeah. I would say she's the number one actress on the planet right now.

I mean, for bankability. Yeah. It really might be her. She's also very smart in how she's taken that star power and turning. She's producing things. And she doesn't just produce big, huge things. She produces little plays. She's producing, you know, things on off-Broadway.

She's producing. So she throws her name in the right spots to help other people out, and she's also doing the right projects when they're coming about. So that's why I think she's... And she's talented. Super talented. And I think it's one of the reasons that she's... The closest thing to a movie star that we have right now where it's...

I still don't think she's powerful enough because I don't think any actor is anymore, to get people in the movies with their name alone. No. That just doesn't happen anymore. Tom Cruise still does more. He doesn't do that. I'm just saying more than her. Sure, sure. But it's like you, yes, in the fact that you'll say Tom Cruise is a new movie, what's it about?

As opposed to back in the day, well, Tom Cruise isn't something. Let's go see it. And that just doesn't happen anymore. What do you guys think about this Netflix stuff? You think it's going to happen? You think they're going to start doing more movies like in the theater? You think that, no, he's going to, Ted Strand's going to put his heels and say, no, not going to have it. Because they didn't necessarily say that it's Netflix leading this IMAX pitch.

It made it seem like the theaters and Greta Gerwig are the ones in this early negotiation. So will even happen? I'm very curious. look was it beginning of this year i don't remember no way no it was last year it was last it was like last uh february or something was it was it was that long ago yeah right it was it was it was last year um february 17th 2023 yeah yeah that makes sense it well it just made a profit apparently so marvel studios aunt man in the was quantum manna quantomania premier what happened to you the microphone just decided to fall uh i have to adjust it and haven't had an opportunity to it Marvel Studios Ant Man and LaWast Quantomania premiered in February last year to a weak reception and a lackluster, 476.1 million worldwide gross. It's a film that mostly, that it's a film that's mostly famous these days for being both the big screen start and the likely end of Jonathan Majors Kang. In addition, it was noted for its poor quality visual effects that really brought the issues with Marvel's post-production pipeline into the public conversation.

There's a new report of Forbes that has gone into the film's finances, and the project was shot in the UK. The production company for the title had to file financial statements that are eventually released for public disclosure. By doing this, they benefit from the UK's tax credits, which gives production a cast reimbursement of up to 25.5% of the money they spend in the country.

According to the outlet, that reimbursement came to $58.2 million. The outlet indicates the film total cost came in at 338.370 prior to the reimbursement, which brought net cost to 330.088. They also indicate the total revenue generator from the film stands at 330.176 million, resulting in a net profit of 88,236.

So they made about $88,000 on this movie. However, as the piece goes to explain, the result here is as much of a case of clever accounting and working within UK tax laws, then anything else, so it shouldn't be seen as final numbers. So it's still, yeah, it's still a failure, but it's not one of these kind of monumental losses that will say like the Marvels was, you know?

It's interesting that you can just maneuver the system that way. That's why they shoot. That's why they don't shoot in L.A. Yeah, yeah, for sure. I mean, I am learning all about different tax credits and things that you get for shooting in different locations as I'm getting more into the production side of filmmaking. And it's so crazy to me.

Like, I didn't realize when people were talking about these tax credits. I thought it just meant that, like, you get tax breaks or you know you get a return like straight up certain states will be like yeah here's three hundred thousand dollars to shoot here it's like oh my god what like why would you shoot in L.A. L.A. is such a nightmare to shoot in but yeah this is smart good for them. I'm glad that this wasn't such an epic failure. I don't know if you know this Christian or remember this. I actually loved this movie. I do remember that yeah. Yeah and I know that I'm one of the onlys. I think you might be the, yeah, you might be the sole person that loves it might be the sole person.

I had, like, I thought that this movie, it really truly reminded me of being on drugs and it was so fun. Fair. I didn't hate it like everybody else did, but I remember coming out of the theater going, oh, there's a lot of people who don't like this one. It's going to be a lot of people. It's really weird. Yeah, it's really weird. Yeah, it's really weird. And I don't think I'll ever watch it again in the same way that I think you, but I respect how you watch movies though, too.

You go in and you watch them. You just, you just kind of have. have a different, I just want to be entertained type of thing. You don't really pick them. Fun or not fun? Right. And so where I think the last Venom movie is something I never need to watch ever again, but I watched your thing and you had a, you had a fun time with it.

Yeah, I really did. I thought that movie was such a blast. I really give a lot of leeway to movies that are short. Yeah, right. 100%. There's nothing worse than a movie that's not that good and is two and a half hours. Like then go F yourself. But like this movie was a 90 minute movie, so much more leeway.

Thank you for not overseeing. You're welcome. Yeah, it's 1.30. And you know, it's funny you say that because although the veteran movies are just not my thing, I do think, and I had this kind of disagreement with Roke history. I think you could make an argument that the third is the best out of the three of them. But it's still not just done a great movie, but that hour and 30, I'm going in there. I was out and I was like, well, they didn't put me, even people who don't really love this franchise.

They didn't put me through anything. It made me sit there for two hours and 20 minutes going, oh my God, how much more to take of this? It's like 1.30, you said, you're in, you're out. Yeah, DJ asked me, DJ Wildridge. He was like, why is this any better for you than Madam Webb? And I was like, it just is so much better. It's more, it's a way more fun movie than Madam Webb.

He was like, I think they're equally as bad. And I was like, I don't, I just feel like Madam Webb. I don't know actually what the runtime was on that. but I just remember too long is the runtime too long please end god damn yeah right yeah because it wasn't fun it wasn't a fun movie in the way that I think that there were some legit funny moments I find I find venom funny I find him I find him funny he makes me laugh I don't know if that's really where the Todd McFarlane and everybody who came up with him wanted him to go but I do think this iteration is that's what they're going yes 100% find us laughing at venom in this movie I think we're laughing

with the movie like I I think that that they knew what they were doing. It's, you get me every time with that stupid. We are Venom. It's so stupid, but it gets me every time. But it's so stupid. But there's some funny stuff. The best stuff that they have is Eddie Brock and Venom stuff.

The story is, you can't argue with me, though. Do you think Juno Temple, who we loved and you love the offer, right? Yeah, I loved the offer, but obviously I loved Ted Lasso. I loved Fargo. I loved Juno and everything. Right. Completely underused. anybody could have done that role.

I mean, did you see what happened with Michelle Williams, Oscar Well, that's what I'm saying. They completely under you that and then I can't remember who I was talking to. I was all my least her line in the entire movie, Chris. And it was unfortunately her first scene. The cockroach thing. I was like. I don't remember. See,

I don't remember. I just saw it last week. She gets to, this isn't a spoiler because it comes early. It ends up being relevant later, but she's like pulling into the facility and he's like, oh yeah, it's for demolition. And she's like, the only thing that would survive would be the cockroaches. Did you know that cockroaches have survived 2.3 million years?

Right, right. I was like, yeah, I felt that was, that was, you could have, that movie only cost 120 million. You could have cut both her and she would tell Ezra for who are tremendous actors, but they're just completely wasted. You could have used that budget on unknowns to do those roles. It hasn't come out yet, Christian, but are that same day, two hours before. for the first time in my life, I watched children of men. Oh, it's a great movie. I thought it was the most amazing movie ever.

It's a great movie. I was like in a chill, I was in a Chittal phase. Yeah, yeah, sure, sure. And I was like, ooh, and then I saw him in this. And I was like, oh, yeah, that's my guy. And then I was like, oh, no. You forget he's in it. And it's in the same way you mentioned Michelle Williams.

There's no world where I should forget that Michelle Williams is in a movie. And we were talking about the day. It's like, oh, yeah, she's in that. Like, no, it is crazy. Yeah, it is, it is crazy. I don't know if I would say Juno Temple was underutilized as much as like, it could have been anybody because like utilizing her more means longer movie, more of a role.

I'm just giving her more to do. She's, it's Juno Temple. Give her more to do. She's such a generic role. Don't you feel like they are trying to set something up for her? Yeah, I know. But that's, but that's always like, but you got to give me something. during the actual movie.

Like, she just, there's nothing to her, like, the backstory. How about where is Michelle Williams? Right. Yeah, she came to her senses and said, I'm not doing it. But just like, we're not going to address that. No, they don't need to. All right, let's do, Roxie. Another blonde girl.

A third Jumanji of the current era and fourth overall. is in the works at Sony Pictures with a December 11, 2026 release on regular and IMAX screens announced today. Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillen, are expected to reprise their roles from previous two films. And director Jake Kasden is also expected back. Whether supporting cast members like Nick Jonas, Aquafina, Alex Wolfe, or Reese Darby, Will Return, Unclear. Welcome to The Jungle Arrived in 2017, which is a new take on Chris Vanne. Alsberg's 1981 book, which was previously adapted into the 95 film starring Robin Williams. Well received by audiences end up surpassing 950 million. I did not realize that. At the global

box office, it followed a group of teenage friends getting trapped inside a video game as a collection of adult avatars. A sequel, the next level, was quickly greenlit and released in 2019 and grossed over 800 million. Wow. Those involved have been keen to do a third one, but it's mostly been an issue of scheduling. Johnson has previously teased this could likely serve as the final one in the series. What a quiet, massive two movies. Like, I did not have a clue that movie almost made a billion dollars. I mean, literally, 50 million away from a billion dollars, which is crazy.

I'm surprised I didn't keep it in the theaters a little longer to try to get even closer. Maybe they did. Re-released for Hot Sets. Yeah, maybe they did. But 950 million for that movie and 800 million for the sequel. that if you would have asked me my prediction before i read that article i would have told you that the first one made like between six and seven hundred and the second one made about five i'm so right there with you right and i would have thought those exact numbers as what i was thinking

in my head um yeah that i i guess it's shocking because i totally get why but it is it is a little surprising that they did that well i really like these movies um i have so much fun with them yeah I guess we said the first one of these because I guess it's the third it already is the third movie in the timeline because they they include the Robin Williams one as canon so the first one was a the 2017 one was a big surprise I remember watching that movie in the theater going all right what are they doing here and I laughed so much in that movie but I was also entertained by it and the second one that they did was fine it was okay it wasn't it wasn't terrible so I think it makes all the sense in the world I would have told you it made all the sense in the world before I knew those numbers. And they both came out in December, I believe. And it was, I didn't realize that Jimonji, the second one that they did was 2019. I would have told you it was pandemic. But it wasn't.

It was right before the pandemic. So that's wild too. You want to know what's even crazier is that 2020 was almost five years ago, which was nuts, which was nuts. That was such a blur from like the two or now three years. I mean, did you just see? I know. Come back to me. Come back to me. I got to put the story together. Uh-oh. What happened? You're right? Yeah. Let's start. What do you got? Only Murders in the building had the finale last night. I think this was another really good season. I like who they picked as the murderer. I actually called it when we met that person, but I think they did a good job here. I'm keeping it spoiler-free because I know this came on late last night.

These three are the big three. they're awesome so many celebrities this season you know Zach Alfanakis um evil longoria Merrill street obviously on the show just like crazy hit after hit damn um Eugene levy uh so so many people Paul Rudd I was thinking there was going to be one of those people was going to be a big big death um but clearly now all the celebrities love working on the show and they all are like don't kill me off that's okay so that's Annette just their finale just happened. Yep.

Final just happened. All right. Next one. So obviously with the recommendation of Gascon that the case be re-looked at and resentenced, I've been really diving into the Menendez brothers. I watched the Ryan Murphy Netflix series and then thought it was better to watch the Netflix doc about this because it actually has Eric and Lyle interviewed and speaking. that they did a really great job with this doc.

I think that if you actually want to know from the more legitimate perspective as opposed to Ryan Murphy's show, which had a lot of truth to it. And from the doc, there's a lot of crossover, but also was a Ryan Murphy TV show that really is for entertainment. If you actually want to know why they are being resentenced possibly, or that's the recommendation to the judge, then I would watch this doc. and honestly not that you ask my opinion

and we don't get too political on this show but I think it's absolutely justified that they're being resentenced and I want to see these two out of prison and I think 35 years is definitely long enough Oh, you want to see them out of prison? Yeah, I really do. Okay.

I really do. Okay. I think that they're nonviolent, non, I don't think that they're a threat to society and I think that 35 years is way to is so long. Is that how long it's been?

were 1921 35 years they've been in jail for 35 years 35 years wow I didn't realize it was that long because they were sentenced to life without parole wow but like with the abuse that yeah none of us were there none of us know but that all of their family attested to like the it seems like these two boys were so so badly horribly tortured that now they're in their 50s let's let them live their life I just don't think that interesting okay um my personal thoughts on it but i thought the doc did a really good job all right so that's on netflix right now next one uh the penguin so so good man you got it like i can't wait to watch your interview with this guy christian because he is just such so good he's a great kid too

it's a really nice nice dude you're gonna love him but in this episode i just just thought so he was so good um yeah man the way that like the fight of the confrontation between christend lilyotti and i don't know the actress's name but um mom no the sex worker oh yeah she's great that scene was great i was watching the after uh about it and they were it's like one of the longest scenes but it felt short because of the movement the way that they their energy was so good they were so locked into each other. So good. Yeah.

Yeah. And I love when you get two characters that haven't been on screen together and finally they're meeting and it's like everything that you kind of thought it would be. And where they're coming from. So yeah, I just thought this week was another excellent week. That's a great one. Okay. Next one after that.

It seems like, and I'm curious how your wife is feeling and how you're feeling about this, Christian. But it seems like people are really in on Agatha now. Like the last couple of weeks, people have been really enjoying. Ratings have gone up for it a little bit too. Cool. i have not watched the the last i didn't see the last episode because then doing a two episode one drop on uh tomorrow so i am behind one episode i believe okay well catch up i will um okay next one

after that roxy would be so i actually finished this right before i watched your Billing interview, which is perfect timing. I'm caught up on the show. You told me I would love it. You're obviously right. The franchise is awesome. I haven't heard people talking about this the way that they should be. I think that growing up, I was just a diehard of entourage. I like the way that Billy put it, though.

This really is more about the crew and kind of gives flowers to you see the madness that goes on. I love this show because it reminds me of being on set, like legitimate. Yeah. The way that decisions are made and like, you know as an audience member when you're watching a movie and you're like how the fuck did they let that happen right and i love what billy told me i love what billy told me about how like a lot of these stories are based on like true stories yes i love that too i was great

Lori's my favorite though, but I love it. I learned so much. And I know that not all the products are a success and that it doesn't always work out. And even the ones that get signed on the show, not all of them actually come to fruition. But like to me, it's just so cool. I never went to business school and I didn't learn a lot of these phrases. And like I'm on the show. I watch the show and I'm Googling stuff about like different terms that they're using. And I just think it's a really cool show that it exists. Yeah, I mean, for sure. It's those types of reality shows that I always, I don't watch. I've caught, I've caught some, and I've always felt they're very entertaining and positive and showing people the business and how these people, their minds work. So I think

that's a show to me that is, I understand, A, why it's on and B, I'm glad that it is. I'm glad that it is. They had the owner, founder of Raising Cains that was on. They always have like the Blumhouse guy or like different people that come on that it's just cool that they change up some of the sharks and then you get to see their expertise and yeah i just i'm so into this and i think that it's not something you have to watch religiously it is something like you said christian you can kind of put it on like you're at the gym or even if you want to listen to it as a podcast just it's cool to learn about it is um there was a huge controversy uh controversy with the one in canada because did you see the simuliu

segment no what happened these two people came on and like thought that they had invented boba and he was like this is a very very popular taiwanese drink that you guys have nobody on your team that knows about and it's just like absolutely egregious and it went super duper viral and it felt bad for everybody but didn't see that understood exactly where he was coming from from my guys. Tootsie. Terry Garh passed away today. And Terry was, I mean, again, Young Frankenstein is one of my favorite movies of all time. So the comic actress and singer who brought her personality to young Frankenstein was Oscar nominated for Tootsie, died on Tuesday in Los Angeles after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was 79 years old. An influential performer to comedians, including Tina Fey, Gar was familiar face in dozens of TV shows and films at the 70s, 80s and 90s the actress revealed in 2002 that she had been diagnosed with MS and she suffered an aneurysm in 2006. After starting her career as a dancer, Garfers gained attention as Inga, the saucy assistant in Mel Brooks' 1974's young Frankenstein, who greeted Jean Wilder's Dr. Frederick Frankenstein with the memorable Would You Like to Have a Role in Zehay?

On Friends, she played Phoebe Abbott in three episodes in 1997, 1998. That's probably where you know her from, right, Rox? I mean, I know her for many things, but immediately it's what comes to mind, of course. Close Encounters of the third kind. She was the wife of Richard Dreyfus. She was in Tootsie. She went from Ohio to Los Angeles. She was a legend. She was an absolute legend.

And that's terrible about MS. It's horrible to live as long as she did for over 23 years. Man, MS is such a beast. Poppo has MS. He's 99. And my best friend on the planet has MS as well. And she was diagnosed when we were young, too. A lot of people are diagnosed in their 20s.

And now there's just so many treatments for it. It's just gotten so much better. Typically what people do is do every six months. If they can, they'll do an intravenous and then you live like normal for six months. But we are so rapidly making advancements when it comes to MS and so many other diseases that what you hope is that you outlive the problem and that science catches up. And so it's so hard to hear stories like this because MS is not a death. sentence now but you know for some people it is it just acts differently in

their body or it's just too little too late just horrible yes I think of her and friends because like she's one of the most amazing parts of the show with Phoebe um Tutsi was like my mom and I used to just that's great we loved Tutsi we loved Tutsi of course young Frankenstein um what a bummer Like it's just it's so crazy all this that not to be on my fucking high horse platform again with being political, but there's so many things going on in the world right now where we just are killing each other and it's like We all those should be fighting these terminal diseases that get us that just we don't if we put all of our time and effort and money and research into we could eradicate them sure Yeah, well she was wonderful again young Frankenstein have you ever seen young Frankenstein

EWalk top three most anticipated TV shows of 2025 mine are Stranger Things season 5 minds in that's in mind And our season two, that's in there for me. Yeah. And it's this couple that, and they do a lot of deep fake stuff, but this couple, it's Robin Wright and Tom Hanks, and you see them in this apartment. I think the whole thing is shot in this one, it looks like one angle, really, in this apartment. And you see them, like, as they're young and throughout the whole entire life. And then you see, they show the whole movie in the trailer. So I would tell you to watch the trailer, but it's like literally the whole.

I'm not going to. It's like the whole movie. So I, I do, I do want to see it. Paul Bettney, Kelly Riley, Kelly Riley is like my favorite. actress. Oh, it's a great, it's a great cast. I was very excited to see it, but I, I missed the, I missed the screening next week, so eventually I'll get to it. I can't believe I've never heard of this, just like the poster, never seen it. She said Sidney Prescott is coming back, and it has always been such a blast and honor to get to play Sydney in the screen movies. My appreciation for these films and what they meant to me has never waned. I am very happy and proud to say I've been asked in the most

respectful way to bring Sydney back to the screen, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Due to Melissa Barrera, who played new lead Sam Carpenter in the previous two films, getting fired over social media, posts the studio to be anti-Semitic. A lot of fans turned against Campbell and felt that she should have shown solidarity with her former co-star and declined the studio's offer, failing that at least reach out for a conversation. Barreira was asked about the situation in interview and why she declined to comment on Campbell. She did reveal that she would consider returning to finish Sam's story down the line. I've learned never to say never, but also a lot of things would happen to happen for Sam to come

I haven't seen it yet, which is so criminal because this is one of those things that's the opposite of what we usually talk about. All of my friends who are not in the industry, watch industry. And this is very popular with my East Coast reps. I just haven't seen it.

And I think there's three seasons. So I usually what I do with shows like that, I wait into that lull in January because right now I'm trying to hit my 120 shows of the year. I'm at 101 right now. So I've got two months to hit those 20 shows, 10 shows a month. So I'm not going to start industry where I have to watch three seasons. But then once December hit is finished in January, I will watch. Okay, good.

When's the last thing you talked to, you talked to her? I mean, I guess we like each other's Instagram posts and things of that nature. And she comments in a couple of videos. But I haven't really, I haven't talked to her in a bit. I'm not in L.A. anymore,

but I always got along with her very well. She was one of my first guests when I started S-E-N. I always got along with Sheney very much. I've had a girl crush on her forever. We just, I've never actually worked directly with her. Oh, really? She's the coolest.

But when I was at Screen Junkies, she was at Clever. So we were next door to each other. When I was at Clyder, she was there but just we weren't there like the same things um but i follow her instagram too and i think she's just like so cool she reminds me to zoie cravitz um yeah 100% but like even with her kid and stuff i just think she's so she's the coolest she really is she's she's a great she's a great person um um Aaron ambrose I don't know if you mention it Christian but is there an agatha episode 7 reaction

What's a movie or a TV show from your childhood that you'll never watch because it won't live up to the greatness your little kid brain took in? Hmm. Well, you know, I'm not going to say Three's Company because it still holds up. My wife wants to watch her. She's like, we should watch old episodes of that. What am I smelling? Something smells delicious. Oh, it's this.

Oh, my cheddar. I love the show, two guys and girl in a pizza place, completely. and I won't rewatch it because I can't find it anywhere. Oh, yeah, I don't know which one won't live up. It's a good question. And it probably wouldn't live up. Probably He-Man, the original He-Man series, even though. I would watch it, though.

I don't know. It's because I've watched it that I can hold up to it. You know, I don't really, like a movie is like Flash Gordon. If you've never seen Flash Gordon, I remember getting, yeah, I got Ellis to watch it like 10 years ago. You've never seen it before. I don't think I've ever seen either. It wouldn't play for you because it's too, it's very much a movie of its time. It's goofy.

It is hokey. It's cheesy. It's all that stuff. But I loved it. I loved it because as a kid, I saw it in the way that it was intended to be portrayed, you know, like with the, I didn't see actors. I didn't see sets. I saw Flash and I saw Dale and I didn't see bad acting.

So Serena Vincent, who plays The Naked Girl in the movie, is a friend that she was in my pilot. And she's a very good, she's a sweetheart of a person. She's such a great person. And that movie I got to kick. I got a kick out of that movie for what they did. I like that they spoofed all those movies at the time. How did you feel about it?

You know that we talked about this, that I hadn't seen this. I didn't even know that you watched Supergirl. Me? I don't remember you saying that. I didn't watch Surina Vincent. I interviewed once and she was so lovely. We still follow each other. She's great.
