Even though it's the Thursday episode, we are recording on Roxy Stryor's birthday. So wish her a happy birthday in the comments. We didn't forget. She'll tell us that. She better tell us that. We have a lot to talk about here today. There's a lot of TV show. Brett finally finished Ozark. Everybody was waiting for that. He finished Ozark and Stranger Things. So he's right on par with everybody else. Hasn't started a lick of the boys. But I did finish the boys, all called up with that. I saw a movie called Paws of Fury. There's the Thor, Love and Thunder,
Starting point is 00:01:06 box office wise. What's next? A lot of TV stuff. Roxy's watching everything. She'll tell us about that for sure. And I don't even know yet. We'll have to find out through this conversation, really what the main topic is going to be. I'll have to figure that out. I don't really know. I don't really know. It's such a dead week. It's been like the last two weeks of there's really not a lot going on. Oh, Ms. Marvel. I finished Ms. Marvel. I finished Ms. Marvel. We'll talk about that also. Did you finish this morning? Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:01:32 So we'll talk about that also. It's a huge day, Christian. Is it? Yeah. All right, we'll talk about that in a second. Well, because it's your birthday, but it's not, but remember where it aired, it's not really your birthday. No, it's my birth week. Oh.
Starting point is 00:01:44 You do work, you do weak stuff? Yeah. Stop this. Okay, listen, we have that and more, but you got to subscribe to the channel. We're past 50,000. And we're going to try to hit 70,000 by the end of the year. And with that, we can start to plan our tour. where we're going to go to, I would like to start in New York.
Starting point is 00:02:03 I'd like to go to all these different places, Dallas, a place I really want to go to, Boston, tons of places I want to go, but I want to get the subscribers up, and I want to see you guys saying, yeah, we want that. I did a poll about a live tour. We would do big thing. We would do Sith Council. We'd do stand-up comedy. It would be a full weekend of it.
Starting point is 00:02:20 And yes, Ronsie, you can come. So that and more, Apple Podcast, Spotify, wherever podcasts are found. Make sure you do it. Check it out. Here we go. It's a big thing. It's Roxy. It's Brett.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Let's do it. I don't know. Maybe it is working, Rox. I'm just too loud. Welcome back, everybody, to the show. It's the big thing. It's me. It's Brett.
Starting point is 00:02:55 And it's the birthday girl. Why are you so, why is that so weird? I think because we didn't check the cameras before. That's probably exactly right. But if I had to guess. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Stop. Oh. Yeah. Collaborate and listen. Girl. Birthday girl. Look at my sash. It's the birthday girl.
Starting point is 00:03:10 It's the birthday girl. Look. How pretty the birthday girl is. Oh, he's doing a dance. Glissing and shining. He's moving around. It's birthday time. No lighting could help this face.
Starting point is 00:03:21 It looks so good and I got you a ring light. Yeah, look in them dance. All right. My eyes. Do you like that white? It's a little jarring. I was kind of talking to you guys and I was like, eh. Because like right when I look at Roxy, it's full.
Starting point is 00:03:35 That better? Oh, that's good. Yeah, it still works. It's nice. That's nice. I got you. It is truly Roxy Shriars birthday. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Yeah, it is. Loving. Thanks. I have a lot of highlighter on. Do you know what that is? Yes. Oh, good. Yeah, yeah. It's a makeup thing. 31 is a really big fucking year, guys. Really big. Look at that wide shot. What happened? Oh, I don't know. May it turn it on, maybe?
Starting point is 00:03:58 I don't know. Oh, you know what it is? I know. I think I know what happened. Wait, watch this. Watching. Right now we're in the dark. Okay. Let's see if this works out. Oh, no. Everybody's jump out and say surprise. Is it turned off? I don't know if it's off. What's going on? I don't see any lights on it. It's not on? Who turned it off?
Starting point is 00:04:16 Did you do that, Brett? Stop this. All right, we're going to have to find out. Multi-shot, wide shot. There it is. What happened? You don't have shorts on today, do you? No.
Starting point is 00:04:25 Okay, good. I think that we're going to have to shift my shot again. Again, why? What happened? Well, because when you put the three of us on, go to the three of us? No, no, no, no. I don't know if they shift your shot. Watch this.
Starting point is 00:04:37 See, Ruxie, this is what I learned. See, I know you get impressed with me with my OBS skills. Yeah, way to go. See? All right. There's some things I'm good at. I just don't know what it is yet. No, you know a lot of things you're really good at.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Thank you. Well, it's your birthday. That's true. Birthday, are you going to do any birthday whoopee? Is that sex? Yeah. Well, with my hand. Oh, hey.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Maybe. No, I'm seeing. What happened to the guy? What happened to the guy? Anything? I haven't heard from him. No. Did he listen to the show, you think?
Starting point is 00:05:08 I really think so. Does he listen? How did you did you ever tell him about the show? No. No. I've never talked to him. I don't know them. Wait,
Starting point is 00:05:14 wait, you never talked to him. You went on a date with him. No, I didn't know on a day with him. Which guy are you talking about? I'm talking about, I'm talking about Mopey.
Starting point is 00:05:21 I'm talking about the Mope. Oh, no, no, I never spoke to Mopee again. He asked me out again and I didn't. And you said no. I just didn't. Okay, okay. So which guy are we talking about now?
Starting point is 00:05:29 I get lost. Talking about the guy must have got lost somewhere down the line. I was talking about the guy that said that he said he was going to reach out to me after the 4th July. Oh, this is a friend. They're one that you really liked.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Yeah. Well, I don't know him. I like the scenario. But it was the coincidence once. Yeah. Several people tried to. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Yeah. Yeah. So this week, actually, I went with the guy who was trying to set us up. We went for drinks. And he was like, what's going on with the dude that I set you up with? And I was like he. Just the British. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Yeah. The British guy said, hello. Yeah. What's going on with the dude I set you up with? And I said, the British are coming. You could have done that on your birthday, maybe. Yeah. Not with this guy, he's married.
Starting point is 00:06:12 And he said, wow, he hasn't hit you up yet. I said, nope. And he was like, that's weird. And I was like, gay. Oh, what happens? So he does listen to this show? How did he know? I don't know if he listens to the show.
Starting point is 00:06:23 So how would you know that he, who knows about anything? I don't. No. Somebody knows. Yeah, why is this? Somebody knows and they live in the stars. Did you see those fucking pictures? That was cool.
Starting point is 00:06:32 That was cool, man. I like it. I like it a lot. Did you see him, Brett? You know what we're talking about. I'm just, just like I listen to these stores and I'm just, like, you know what? You don't pay attention to anything?
Starting point is 00:06:42 No, I'm just, I'm happy. I don't have to deal with this shit anymore because I can't believe that Roxy Stryer does not have a boy. Like that that blows me away that you do not have a boy. Can I tell you something though? Yeah. You're the one. The first time in a really long time that I'm doing very well being single. Good.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Yeah, I'm not that you need that. No, but that's the problem. That's the problem. No, once you accept it, that's when you're going to find someone. No, no. Yeah. I'm in a very good spot right now. Oh, you'll see.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Oh. That's what happens. When you're, Please don't come and fuck up my life. When you're excited about being single and when you're finally accepted it and you're not looking for anybody, that's when you find somebody. The no sex thing sucks, though. That sucks. But this is the weird thing about that, which I understand.
Starting point is 00:07:29 But like for women, because they always say this, right? It's like, yeah, you guys don't realize if you wanted to. If you wanted to, you could go and get late tomorrow. But it's a different. You're looking for something different as far as, when you are looking to go out and have sex. You're not looking for just sex. Right.
Starting point is 00:07:45 And that's what's the difference between. That's the difference with women and not. What's the deal? I'm not telling that women don't do that sometimes. Of course they do. Sometimes you got to. Sometimes you got to do. Right.
Starting point is 00:07:55 But it's like, but, you know, but a lot of, that's the difference is that if you wanted to go to a bar tonight, you could bring home some idiot, but who knows are you going to feel good about yourself in the morning? Yeah. It was never my choice whether I was going to get later. It was never my choice. No. It's like you had hopes.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Yeah. You had dreams. We were just talking about you asked me. Remembering one of my birthdays from St. Nix? And the same thing you just said. It's like, look, I put a lot. I made sure that I had options because it wasn't my choice.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Okay, this is really evil that I'm about to do this from. I'm going to do it anyway. Go ahead. I was hanging out with all of our mutual friend Kaiser this week or a couple weeks ago. And you and Kaiser are dating now? Yeah, we are totally. Let's get it on. No, so we were talking and I was telling him,
Starting point is 00:08:45 I'm this thing called a demisexual. Have I told you guys about this before? It means that I cannot come unless I have feelings for somebody. It's a real thing. Like, I genuinely can't, which is why. And that's my point. A lot of women are like that. So a lot of women are kind of like that.
Starting point is 00:08:57 So I said that we were talking. We were out to lunch and he said, me too. And then he went by in a dumpster with a sock. We're sitting at a table with a lot of. lot of people and everybody looks at him and is like you got to be kidding me i am not fucking with you for an hour and a half he was like no you guys don't understand like if i don't have feelings for somebody it's not happening and he doesn't remember any of it is how hammered was he when you had this conversation a little and i was like this cannot be real like i understand that you're trying
Starting point is 00:09:26 to make me feel better and you're trying to communicate but that's it's not the truth for you yeah he was like no it is it really is i was like wow i'm so annoyed with you right now yeah it's we the plumbing is this would say no also i've never met a guy and I'm not, I'm not saying they don't exist, but I've never met a guy who physically cannot come unless they have feelings for something. I've never met a guy like that. Because it is, it is 99.9% physical for us. Yeah. That's, it's a, like mentally, mentally it'll, it'll help me. Maybe help you get there quicker. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, it's, it's, that I understand
Starting point is 00:09:59 completely for, for women, because it's, it is. It's a, it's a mental thing. That's why I'm saying, like, you could go to a bar, have a nice physical feeling, but not get to that place because mentally that's not why you, that's not what that would get you going. Yeah. And then feel empty inside. Right. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:17 You're right. I don't feel as empty as I just feel like I could be working right now, which is not, you don't want to be feeling how when you wake up next to somebody. Or in the middle of it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. In the middle of it. I got that paper to write.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Right. You're right? Oh, who are you again? Yeah. It's tough. But look, what are you going to? going to do today or what you do yesterday? I'm on a solo journey right now.
Starting point is 00:10:44 I have no. I'm working today and then I'm working this week. I don't know. I think that I'm going to just try to get to the beach at some point. Good. Relax. Yeah. Chill out hanging with the girls because you guys are going to Comic Con, right?
Starting point is 00:10:57 See, that's the, that's going to be like a full on weekend for you too. Are you stoked you're not going? I mean, I don't care that I'm not. You know what I mean? Like it's so, I, I, I like Comic-Con. It's not one of these. Oh, my God, I love Comic-Con.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Comic-Con. Comic-on's great, and the parties are awesome, and I was telling Steph this. I don't know if you, I know this might be the first year. You ever did, but Doreena is, there's no one you. She's great. There's no one that you want to go to Comic-Con parties with. That is, you have to go with Dorena.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Yeah. Doree is the queen. She is. She's the best. And she is, so, yeah, you're going to have a great time with her overall on that side of things. But, no, I think what the main thing is, that so Star Wars celebration, and as I mentioned this couple times over, they do this exclusive footage that, whether it was the Mandalorian stuff for season three,
Starting point is 00:11:48 the extended one, the mini one that you can't see anywhere unless it was like pirated, right? The Asoka stuff, you can't see anywhere. The John Williams stuff that you had to see while you were there, the actual live performance. Comic-Con doesn't really do that much anymore. No, you can see everything online. And for what I do right now and me trying to build the channel, I actually think it will hurt me more to not be here than it will be there. I think that makes perfect sense.
Starting point is 00:12:14 You're going to get that access to stuff as quickly, if not quicker, than anybody who's actually there. Right. And because when I was with Collider and even with Schmows and when I was doing Schmowdown, it was more beneficial for me to be there to go. The last three years over the Comic-Con, I wasn't even on the floor and I went to Hall H for the stuff I really wanted to see, but I was going to the parties because that's where I was making connections.
Starting point is 00:12:36 that's where I was booking people. That's where I was. Like that was, that was why I was going. I don't need to do that right now. And I think that, yeah, because you went with me a few times. That was my one and only. The next year is when I got like the bronchitis for a year or whatever. And then it just kind of, I stopped going.
Starting point is 00:12:53 But like, I think my one time going was like, okay, that was cool. It was fun. We had a good time. Yeah. You know Brett says that him and I met there? Yeah. We were wearing a riddler outfit, a riddler dress. I have a very good memory of meeting people.
Starting point is 00:13:08 I remember the Riddler onesie. Yeah, I love that Riddler onesie. And it always makes me feel bad when people don't remember me. That is kind of rude, but you know what he says? You know what he says I said to him? Have you not heard this? I have heard this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:20 What did I say to you? You said, I'm Roxy Stryer, queen of the internet, you said to me. And then if I ran into it again, I had to say that. You might have been in some conversation. I must have been fucked all. Oh, you definitely. I'm Roxy Stryer. Queen of the Internet.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Because I ran into it another party and I go, hey, Roxy Stryer and you go, waiting for it. Queen of the Internet and then I drop it at you
Starting point is 00:13:43 and it was fun. It was a fun little thing that you don't remember. Queen of the Internet, bro. Is that the title you want? Yeah, I could see it. I could see it.
Starting point is 00:13:51 And that was, yeah, that was, I mean, we've been going, Mark and I have been going since this is the first comic coming because I don't really,
Starting point is 00:13:57 last year didn't count because nobody really went because it was on Thanksgiving. So that was stupid. I don't know what a single person about. I think like Emma Fife went The only person I remember tweeting about it was like, I think.
Starting point is 00:14:07 That might not even be true. She was doing all those E3. That might not even be true. No, Koi went. Koi went. I think that I saw Emma tweeting about it. Like, why would you have it at Thanksgiving? And then the year before that, they didn't have it.
Starting point is 00:14:19 So I really count like 2019 being the last one. You and I hung out quite a bit at 2019. We had to marry out often, all of them. This is my seventh. Okay. So I started going in 2012. The first one I ever went to, was 2004, I believe.
Starting point is 00:14:37 My ex-girlfriend was working for Tokyo Pop at the time, and they debuted the title for Revenge of the Sith while I was there. And there was screening something, and that wasn't Hall-H, it was some room. Was it so different? It was very different. And it was, but I was, they were screening something in the room, and it was like this big applause, and they were showing some TV show that was coming out called Lost. And I remember walking.
Starting point is 00:15:03 by it wasn't in the panel itself but I thought it's like what's lost I don't wonder what that is and I remember wanting to watch it on TV because I had seen wow thing at comic con were there a lot of people was it like cosplay stuff still it was right as comic on was starting to cross over from it just being that section of fans like you know the ones who knew about comic books and like that and it was when industry started getting a hold of it and and studios started going and and And people started doing more things, like those parties started to develop more. It was a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:15:39 I was only there for like one or two days. I didn't stay that long. But the first time I recovered it, because people kept telling me, Mark and myself when we were doing schmose that we need to do more of it. And we need to go there. We need to, it's right up our alley. And then we were working with fandango and movies.com.
Starting point is 00:15:54 And we just did a whole bunch of videos for them. I think it was like, yeah, it was like 2012 was the first one we went to with Machinimo. We were with Machinima at the time. And then we went every year since from 2012 until 2019. So this will be the first one I'm not going to. I think Mark's going for his comedy show. Are you going up?
Starting point is 00:16:15 No, no, no. I just saw that he was going to that. Okay. I think he's asked me enough where I went. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have no plans there. I'm actually just going for fun. I'm stoked about it.
Starting point is 00:16:26 That's the best. I don't have to show up anywhere at any time. I'm like raking in the party invites and you're going to just go enjoy myself and we're staying at Steph's friend's place. So I'm not paying any money for it. So like, we're just going to do our show from there and the same thing. It's just easy,
Starting point is 00:16:43 easy. I'm going to the last time I'll be able to do that. I'm going to make a prediction. This is going to be your favorite Comic Con. Probably. Although, you know what, 2019? You know I went with Skybound in 2019.
Starting point is 00:16:54 They took me and I was doing those videos for them. They put me up in the most beautiful hotel. They gave me free food and drinks all day every single day. I could go to that place. Oh, the one up serious. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They took such incredible care of me. I was like, this is what it should always be like.
Starting point is 00:17:12 It was great. It was great. You know, I've never told this story on air, which I can actually tell now. What's funny about that is, had it not been for Roxy Stryer, I don't know if the skybound stuff would have happened the second time around. because what happened was the first year I had a conversation with Skybound in 2018 and we had really great conversations
Starting point is 00:17:38 and really great conversations and it just we just couldn't agree on where we wanted to go so we just went our separate ways had great email shakes so let's let's keep it open and see what happens so fast forward to 2019 Roxy goes to Comic-Con covers Skybound and has a conversation about the schmowdown. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:59 And I don't remember who it was, but it was, you said, you said, like, look, they were, they were bummed that they didn't get. I came back to you and I said, I think that they don't, I think that they regret or something like that not being in business with you. Yeah. And I said, interesting, because I hadn't talked to them since. So then I started falling up on it again. And I was like, let's, uh, and it let's try to figure something out.
Starting point is 00:18:20 And then we had a meeting. And the day that I had, like, Roxy knows this too. the day that I were parted ways with Collider, that day I had a meeting with Skybound. Like I just had a conversation with Fernandez where we decided we're going to go our separate way. And I drove to Skybound and had a meeting that day. And then the rest of history. But it's so funny that you say that, that I remember you coming back and telling me,
Starting point is 00:18:43 because we hung out a lot at the Marriott. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was a really fun one. I'm a little bummed that this year feels different because I know it's the, you're saying it's the first like normal one back. And I agree. but our people aren't really going to be there. Some of them, but...
Starting point is 00:18:57 Who's not going? You? Well, that's me. Yeah, a lot of people. I don't know. Keln-Elssey's going. Roker's going. Ellis is going.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Ken's going. I mean, I guess they're going at least for that comedy show. Yeah, I didn't know that they're going to be there for them. I would assume Ellis is going to be because they're rotten tomatoes. They always do something. No, they're not doing anything. They're not doing anything. Really?
Starting point is 00:19:16 Wow. This is the first time Fandanga Rotten Tomatoes. No party, nothing. That's... Who's doing the parties this year? Do you know yet? I know fandom. Got their big party.
Starting point is 00:19:25 IGN's doing one. IGN. I think probably Warner Brothers. Okay. Playboy usually always has one. Oh, never been invited to that one. Listen, no,
Starting point is 00:19:37 listen. You need to make a list of every party you want to go to. Yeah. Doreena will get you in. I want to go to the entertainment weekly part. That's the tough one. I know.
Starting point is 00:19:49 That's the hardest one. But she's gotten in every year. Oh, I might need your help with. one because I want to get on the boat again for IMDB, but. I don't know if I have that. You know, I got in every year. And then this year, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:20:03 That's the other thing is I did. I'm so far attached from it. Normally what I would do for the parties is I had a list three weeks. As soon as they came out, what you need to do is get yourself on the Wired Cafe list. Yeah, that's a good one. That's the one you got. You just need to find the contact. I know I used to go to Wired.
Starting point is 00:20:22 That's the one of the route upstead. Right with those free booze all day. And that's why I'm telling you, if you don't have anything to cover, wired is your place. You just need to go there and hang out. Anyway, so for people going to Comic-Con, be on the lookout. World Girls will be there. A lot of people will be there.
Starting point is 00:20:39 The Jeep Wrangler 4x E. It's electrified. So you can boogie-wugi-woogie-woogie up a mountain over creeks or boogie-woogie-woogie through a desert where you get bit by a pit viper. So you boogie-wug-wug-wug-back to camp and ask you, friends if they'll suck the snake venom out when they say no you boogie wugi-wogie to the nearest hospital for a dose of anti-venom and boogie-woogie-woogie your way to a full recovery they electrified jeep wrangler four by e learn more at jeep dot com jeep is a registered trademark of fcia us lLC
Starting point is 00:21:09 what do you think they're going to cover that's you know that's a probably probably a good topic to talk about real quick rocks yeah i've we've talked about phase four marvel and and some people think that it's in kind of directionless at the moment uh i don't know what the hell is going on in the moment. People said, just wait. We're going to see what Kevin Feige announces. Will Fantastic Four be announced? Hall H. Marvel.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Very possible. I think definitely we're going to get an Eternals to announcement. You think so? I do. I do. I think that Fantastic Four announcement would be huge, but it's confusing at this point with Warner Brothers and with Disney, what they're saving for Comic-Con
Starting point is 00:21:50 and what they're doing for their own things. Because with Disney doing D23 and all their announcements being separate, and Warner Brothers now doing that fandom, whatever. Right, yeah, but I don't, but I think that was really built for the digital age, though. I don't think that. They did it again, though. Yeah, last year. Last year, I think with, because Comic-Con wasn't a, they're going to have a,
Starting point is 00:22:14 Marvel and D.C. are going to have a massive head-to-head like they do every year. Friday is D.C. And then Marvel is on... So what do you think? Fantastic for? I think Fantastic for... If they announced it... This is spoilers for Ms. Marvel. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:31 X-Men is more realistic now because of the X-Men reveal in Ms. Marvel. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think that with the... I keep forgetting the name... Dr. Strange movie, it was already a little more realistic and we keep pushing in that direction, but...
Starting point is 00:22:48 Yeah, but actually introducing, Like the concept of... The mutation and the fact that essentially Ms. Marvel is a mutant. And like that idea of it and they haven't been able to do that because they don't own the rights to X-Men. So that might be a thing. If they introduce an X-Men, like a new X-Men movie, and with all the stuff we talked about last week with Tarynne,
Starting point is 00:23:08 we were talking about Wolverine, maybe he's announced as Wolverine. I think they need it. They need a little bit of new life into that. New life with old material. Because a lot of this stuff that... they're doing, you know, like, like Fantastic Four is old material, but it's familiar material with a new cast. X-Men is- You mean popular material?
Starting point is 00:23:28 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because like Eternals is older, Shang-Chi is old. Well, right, but it's not popular. That's what I, yes. Older. They were new stories. Those were new stories that you're talking about. More mainstream.
Starting point is 00:23:38 You don't know what the hell Eternals or Shang-Chi was, right? But you know what Fantastic Four and X-Men are. Which reminds me, I did watch one of these. And if you were going to take in me listening to people throughout, you know, all lists, seeing these. Well, first of all, I was going to do multiverse of madness, but Lonnie hasn't seen the first one. So she's like, so I'm like, Shangchi Eternal,
Starting point is 00:23:58 Shang Chi Eternal, Eternal, which one would have you chosen? Me? Yeah. So my, I'm in the minority here. I like the Eternals better. Really? Because I, yeah, I, I, I think the buzz was that Shang Chi was better, right? Most people like Shang Chi better, yes.
Starting point is 00:24:12 I had a harder time with the third act in Shang Chi. Me too. Because it was just so CG heavy. Yeah. But I would pick Shang Chi on. the sole basis of Similu can get it. Yeah, yeah. So, Simuliu.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Is it the lead? Can get it. Yeah. But even if you're not emotionally attached? Ooh. I am emotionally attached. Okay, fair. Fair.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Fair. Holy shit. We went Eternals. I don't know. I just for some reason. Did you like it? Yeah, I did. I enjoyed it.
Starting point is 00:24:38 I loved it. I loved it. I loved it. And when you said the turtles too, I'm like, oh, yeah, let's do it. Because there's that whole. I was just going to say, I think it's lower than that. I think it's lower than that. And Rocks, you know what's crazy?
Starting point is 00:24:48 He's like, if you told me I can only watch one of these two movies ever again, Eternals or Thor, Love and Thunder, Eternals, in a heartbeat. Me too. In a heartbeat. I much preferred Eternals to Thor, Love and Thunder. Me too. But we are in the minority. Although Tyca is getting so much heat right now that I can get in.
Starting point is 00:25:06 He's also getting a lot of love too. Is he? Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of people who love Tyco and Titi also. But he's getting, because normally he was so, when you never heard a bad thing about him. Yeah. Now that you are. So let's see.
Starting point is 00:25:19 Eternal's 47, which is crazy. This is not a 47% movie. This is a way better movie. I think that this one is, is, I think it got bombed by. Well,
Starting point is 00:25:29 no, no, 47 is, is critics. I know still. 78 for audience. It's not bad. Now,
Starting point is 00:25:35 what's the Thor audience score? That's interesting. Higher. Thor audience score is higher. Yeah. Okay, so usually always is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Remember, I think it's, I also think that Thor Love and Thunder is a much more, mainstream movie than it is a full-on Marvel movie. Do you think that they should have named Thor something to do with four because it rhymes? No. Oh.
Starting point is 00:25:58 I mean, maybe because it's a goofy comedy. I'll spend a lot of time thinking about. But what we're talking about? Eternal's. Eternal. So Eternal, Chungchi. I think. I love Eternal.
Starting point is 00:26:08 I love Eternal. Yeah. If they're going to announce it too, I'd be down for that because there is the end credit thing. Two end credit things. Yeah. I think that they need to. not because it was that successful, but because that is their future.
Starting point is 00:26:21 In the same way that they're resetting so many different things, we need Eternals. That's what we need. Well, because you can't really, even if you're going to do, because even though Thor and Dr. Strange, they're still the old school old guard. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Right. So this is their second movie for Dr. Strange, the fourth movie for Chris Hemsworth on Thor inside of the franchise. So there's only so long that they probably won. want to do it plus the establishment of new characters, but I don't know. I'm just not as locked in because we were just talking about this on Sith Council. The problem with Marvel at the moment in difference like Star Wars, right?
Starting point is 00:26:59 Star Wars, you can tune into Mandalorian. Yeah. And even though it connects to certain things, you won't be lost if you don't watch anything else, right? My daughter's never seen a Star Wars thing and she watched that entire. That's what I mean. I think Asoka might be the only one where you probably will get more out of watching rebels than you watch Osaka.
Starting point is 00:27:23 But again, you won't be lost. You're saying specifically about Mandalorian about all Star Wars. I'm talking about the Star Wars series and a lot of Star Wars stuff. There's certain movies that, you know, obviously, because if you watch Empire Strikes Back before you watch New Hope,
Starting point is 00:27:36 I don't know why you would do that. What about the Obi-Wan series? Obi-Wan series is the same thing. You could watch it. You could watch it and not be, because it does tie into the prequels and everything too. It absolutely, it's like a prequel itself. So you would get more out of it if you watch it.
Starting point is 00:27:52 But the problem with the Marvel stuff at the moment, you will be lost in certain times if you don't. I'm lost at certain times. Right. Well, the emotional, Dr. Strange, this is an emotional beat. And we've talked about this, Rocks. You have to watch Wanda Vision in order to know what the hell's going on. And Kevin Biden is like, no, you don't need to.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Yes, you do. You do. do need to watch that to know what's going on. That and then Ms. Marvel. So Ms. Marvel shows up in the Marvels and you're like, who's that kid? If you've never watched Ms. Marvel, you're like, if Brie Larson comes back, you saw Captain Marvel, but you've never watched Ms. Marvel. And then she shows up.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Well, who is that? I don't know. That's kind of what they did with America Chavez. Well, she, but she was. Who is that? That's true. That's true. But the difference with that is that you had that movie to establish her story. What are they going to do? They're going to reestablish.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Ms. Marvel again inside of the movie? They're not going to do that. This is a really stupid question that I just genuinely don't know the answer to. Is Comic-Con going to do anything Star Wars related? I don't think it's a stupid question at all. I don't know if, I don't know what the panels are set right now. I haven't, like, I'm so far attached from Comic-Con. Do you mind actually looking that up?
Starting point is 00:29:03 Yeah. I would like to know what the panels are. If I was to guess, looking up what the Hall-Age panels, what the Hall-Aid schedule is from Thursday until Sunday. If I was to guess, there's going to be, because Fox used to do, Fox in Paramount or Universal, that's probably, it's obviously not Fox anymore, but they're going to pop in on Thursday. Whether it's Universal, if they're doing a panel or Paramount, they're going to hit Thursday because Warner Brothers is Friday. Now, if it's Marvel at Saturday, if it's Disney, it'll be Saturday.
Starting point is 00:29:37 But I don't think Disney's going to do a big thing. I don't think you're going to get a Star Wars thing. I think they're going to save that for D23, which is in on. early September? I'm looking, it doesn't seem like a full list has been announced yet, but what I can't see is that Star Trek announced at a Comic-Con. That's Paramount. Yeah, it's a whole Paramount Plus panel, I guess.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Okay, okay. See, that's a difference, too. Remember. ECEU to appear with Hall 8 for Black Adam. Saturday. Or Friday? That's going to be Saturday. That's Saturday.
Starting point is 00:30:06 So then what's... With Black Adam and Shazam. So then, wait a minute. So then Marvel's got to be Friday. Yep. That's what it's looking like. That's what it's looking. Remember in 2019, though,
Starting point is 00:30:17 the streaming wars hadn't really started yet. So I didn't even take in consideration. Gianna Reeves headed to Hall-H for what? For John Wick? Berzerker. B-R-Z-R-K-R? What the hell is that? Video game, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Burkirk panel. All right. I'm making fuck to you, Berserker panel. I have no idea. So that's the big news, but no Star Wars stuff yet. Not that I'm seeing.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Okay, so that would... Marvel will have Hall-H panel. This is according to NerdBot. It just says that they're slated to. Oh, that's saying Saturday also. It's on Saturday. So, DC and Marvel? I think they've done that in the past, maybe.
Starting point is 00:31:01 No, I don't think so. Normally it's always, one is on Friday and then one is on Saturday. Because I remember what happened with us when we did our big Comic-Con event. It was Rachel Cushing versus Mike for the title at that event a little bit off of the strip. And we were nervous because we were going on right. And the Marvel panel was still going on. That was a Saturday. And the Warner Brothers wanted to have it the day before.
Starting point is 00:31:28 House of the Dragons panel. What's that? I'm guessing it's the Game of Thrones show. Oh, right? Oh, House of Dragon. Yes, yes, yes, yes. It's called House of the Dragon. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:37 So, yeah, House of the Dragons. So they, right, Game of Thrones always used to do panels. That's when we, do you remember when Mark and I used to talk about the, the craziest panel we ever saw, which was boring, but it was also bizarre. It was what? Game of Thrones. We would go every year to the Game of Thrones panel. They were really good ones. And one year, people were losing their minds because George R.R. Martin was going to moderate the panel.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Oh, wow. And yeah, it sounds great in theory. But, dude, like, think about all the stuff he's written, like all the creepy stuff. stuff, it comes from somewhere. It's a creepy dude. He asks, oh, so, tell me about that sexine arrow for you. Did you like getting tied up? Oh, what about the time when, did you like when the dragons were kind of right near your buttocks?
Starting point is 00:32:29 And how did you feel about it? Did you bend the knee? Or will you in the next season? And it was just awkward. And even like the cast was trying to take over because it just wasn't working. We talked about it on Shmow's like many times over, but I can see why they're having a panel. I have a bigger list for you now. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:32:49 So here's what's going on. Let's do it. On Thursday. I love it real quick. I love Roxy so much. And I know her. So I was thinking about this the other day. Roxy's like the first day that I ever met her.
Starting point is 00:32:59 She came in just prepped for. I could see the OCD type of thing going. She was so mad that she didn't have the actual information. She was not going to quit unless she, found a real list. I was like I'm still listening to you. However, this is very important. Tell me what you got.
Starting point is 00:33:17 So it seems like the only things that really stick out on Thursday is that there's going to be a Dungeons and Dragons panel. There's any Dungeons and Dragons panel. That's on Thursday. I'm excited that there's a Severance panel looking forward to that Friday. Looks like there's the Lord of the Rings one. I'm sorry. I was too busy trying to crack.
Starting point is 00:33:36 That was Dungeons and Dragons. Start over again. So Thursday, Dungeons and Dragons panel. Okay. Also. That's a movie from what's. studio. Do you remember?
Starting point is 00:33:43 It is, this is what it says, Paramount. Paramount. You see? Paramount or Universal on Thursday. So I was right about that. And then also in Hall H is going to be the Teen Wolf movie.
Starting point is 00:33:53 So that's also. Teen Wolf movie from the MTV. Teen Wolf from the movie. Okay. With, I guess panelists, well, Tyler Posey and Tyler Hecklin are in it.
Starting point is 00:34:01 So maybe they're doing a new movie with them. Okay. That's Hall H also. All right. So that sounds like a big Paramount Day for them. Okay. And then also on Hall H is Shattner on Shattner, which is William Shatner.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Yeah, they've done that. And Kevin Smith. Yep. Okay. Okay. And then we moved to Friday, which Holly is starting with the Lord of the Rings, the Rings of Power. So that's Friday.
Starting point is 00:34:22 So hold on that. Hold on that. So you and I just did our reaction to that the other day. And it's so stupid. I did this thing where I have this setting that I did this twice, two videos, our fireworks video and the Lord of the Rings thing. What happened? I had a setting wrong on the road and you couldn't hear the,
Starting point is 00:34:39 you couldn't hear any audio. Oh. Not our audio you can hear. Oh, but the thing. But anyway, what I'm seeing, though, I'm not seeing a lot of positivity from the fans on this one at all. There wasn't much to it. But in general, the anticipation for this series,
Starting point is 00:34:55 like, not a lot of people seem, like there are certain people who just are just going to hate to hate, but there's a lot of people who love Lord of the Rings that are not excited for this series. I'm wondering if this thing's going to be a massive bust. Well, it will be the most expensive bust that ever was. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:35:11 really blowing your load. I know. And not emotionally attached to it. Yeah. So what's, the problem is a lot of people are emotionally attached. Yeah. They're not going to blow their loads.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Yeah, that's very true. Walking Dead also on Friday in Hall-H. Okay. The last season. Which for me, you know, I am obsessed with that show still. So obsessed with it that I can't wait for that.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Also, this is the Keanu Reeves thing in Hall H. It's called BRZR-K-R. The Immortal Saga continues. Whatever that is. Berzerker. Okay. And that's going to be on Hall H.
Starting point is 00:35:43 That's Friday. That's still on Friday. Then Dragon Ball Super superhero in Hall H. What the hell is? That must be a Dragon Balls. Okay. So Walking Dead and you said Game of Thrones? No, Lord of the Rings.
Starting point is 00:35:54 Lord of the Rings. That's Friday. Okay. So those are the two big things really on Friday going to come out of that. Wow. What in Hall Age Collider? Directors on directing? Probably Frosty's doing something.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Oh, yeah, yeah. That makes sense. So that brings us to Saturday. So nothing big so far, let's so before you even get into Saturday. Saturday is obviously the massive. We're hitting some big stuff. Saturday is going to be the day where I'm going to have to take a full day off and just tell my wife I'm not going to be here and just lock myself in the office.
Starting point is 00:36:19 That's what it seems like. So let's go. Let's retract. It was frosty, by the way. It's Stephen doing that. That would make sense. So Thursday, as you said, the big, if you go through that list again, Rock, so just kind of want to, and now I know what the topic of this show is going to be.
Starting point is 00:36:32 It's going to be a Comic-Con. But Thursday, the big, like, whatever this Teen Wolf thing is. Yeah. And then what's the really big story that's going to come out of that that people are going to want to see? What would you say? The Dungeons and Dragons thing. People are really into that. I think that's going to be the trailer that drops and that that will be the one that we cover on Thursday that people will probably talk about.
Starting point is 00:36:55 So that's that's that one. Yeah. Nothing else really on Friday will be for people. The Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings will be a bigger trailer that you will see. Walking Dead used to be where, I mean, people are still very excited about it, But Walking Dead when it was, like, for the first, like, five seasons, you put out a trailer review or a freaking, just a summary of the panel.
Starting point is 00:37:16 And that thing, Mark and I did 200,000 views. Interestingly, though, there's actually two Walking Dead panels in Hall H that day. At 1230 is Tales of the Walking Dead, which the panelists are the creators and cast from the new AMC series. So that's for the new show. And then at 1.30 is the Walking Dead. I see. So whatever that new show is, that will be the big stuff. Well, that'll still be the pretty, I mean, considering it's the last season, right?
Starting point is 00:37:37 So that would be pretty. And then this Guyana Reeves thing at three there. I just was looking, because I got, I'm interested in that one. The Chiangeloid comic, ultra-violent comic starring his immortal murder avatar. Okay. So who knows? But again, the big story for that day is probably going to be Lord of the Rings. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:56 For the big story. Okay. So then Saturday now we move over and we're getting. So a lot of stuff's coming through on Saturday. So on Saturday, we're starting. at 1015 with Warner Brothers. They're doing a whole theatrical block with Black Adam and Shazam Fury
Starting point is 00:38:10 of the Gods. So that'll probably end it all. So there'll probably be some of the other movies that they'll throw in. What are the other... That's both their new line stuff. So that's their new line cinema stuff. Do they say in any other stuff that they have in there? Because they, I mean, they don't know what they're doing with Fantastic Bees. I can't imagine they'll go anywhere near that at the moment. Aquaman. Are they going to do anything
Starting point is 00:38:28 with Aquaman? It can't be that long because that's 1015 and then at 1130 is House of the Dragon. But they're not going to do 10, 15, 11, 15, just Black Adam and Shazam. No chance that it's just a full hour. Those usually break up into like 10 minute blocks. So they're going to use that to be. Do some announcement. To show some of their other stuff.
Starting point is 00:38:50 They'll probably end with the reason they listed it there is because they want to, you know, that's what they're going to showcase. Do you think we're going to do something like Joker 2 there or? Could be some news. Some Harley something. I think you got more of a shot with Aquaman or something. because it's coming out next year. It's just a matter of what the hell they're going to do with it.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Yeah. The other day, like, I think they stay away from Flash. What are we going to do? Yeah, what are we doing? Hold that real quick. Kind of stay away from Aquaman. I don't know. Maybe so.
Starting point is 00:39:16 And I think they're going to need a lot of energy to keep themselves going that day. And in order to do it, they should get themselves some athletic greens. That's, that's what I think. I think that if everybody at Hall Age had some athletic greens going into it, it's a long day. It's a long day. So get yourself prepped up, ready to go for athletic greens. Did you finally try it, Rocks? Yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:39:36 I tried it last time. I told you I loved it. And you gave me another one. I had that too. You did that too. So now you've got to actually get yourself some packets and help out the show, will you? Make sure you go and get yourself some. It is, uh, it.
Starting point is 00:39:47 Roxy loves it. Steve just, Mike just took two packets from me. Everybody knows I know Brett loves it. Brett's the one that got me on it. So make sure you check it out. I'm using it every day. I put it in a water bottle. I shake it around.
Starting point is 00:39:56 It's great. If you don't love vitamins, you're not big pills person. You want a supplement that tastes great. Athletic greens. One delicious scoop. You put it in a bottle of water. You shake it up. 75 high quality vitamins, minerals, whole food, source superfoods, the whole nine.
Starting point is 00:40:10 I love it. It gives me that kick of energy. It's got good sleep. You still been taking it, Brett? Oh, every day. Every day. And it's got that fruity taste, which is awesome. Give it to family and friends.
Starting point is 00:40:19 I used to have so many packets here that I used to talk about. They're all gone. Everybody takes them, everybody loves them. Supports mental clarity. It's a better sleep quality and recovery. It costs you less than $3 a day, and you invest in your health, and it's cheaper than your cold brew habit. You invest in an,

And as I have been telling you guys,
Starting point is 00:41:11 many times over, you want to help this show out, and there's been so much support for the Shmodown as coming to an end and people have been asking, what are we doing next? As I told you, we want to get to 70,000 subscribers by the end of the year so we can start to push into that live tour plan next year. And the other way to help us out, man,
Starting point is 00:41:29 get yourself some, Athletic Greens, get yourself, find a sponsor that you like. And when you do it, though, I want your honest thoughts. I want your honest opinions. Put it in the comment section and let me know, because I send that to the podcast reps.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Athletic Greens loves it. They love to see it. All right, Rock, so we're going to keep on going here. Yeah. We got that stamina now. So after the Warner Brothers, which we were thinking, we know Black Adam, we know Shazam. We're probably going to get something else in that time period.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Then at 1130 is the House of the Dragon. So that's going to be all things, Game of Thrones. House of the Dragons at 1115? At 1130. All right. So that will be a big one. They have seven shows that they have announced right now.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Who does? Game of Thrones. Seven shows. What do you mean? Seven spin-offs they have announced. John Snow. It's literally seven. You want me to look at up?
Starting point is 00:42:17 Yeah, please, please. I'm not, I'm not everything with you. Please, please, please, while you do that. That's insane. So that show, that's going to be a mass. Oh, yeah. That's going to be massive because it comes out, I think they're going to show a lot at that panel.
Starting point is 00:42:31 Okay. Hold on one second because it comes out like a week or two or no, maybe a couple of weeks after, I think sometime in August is when, maybe even a month later, but anyway, in a general area from when it's when they talk about, they're going to show a lot at that panel for Game of Thrones. I think so too. And the excitement's going to come out. That's going to be one that's talked about a lot and a bigger trailer will come out.
Starting point is 00:42:51 That's going to be big for that day because the hype for it's going to be big. So some of that you're going to get two or three trailers. You get the Black Adam stuff, which is going to be, I heard some stuff actually. that Black Adams is going to show a lot. I know they're going to show a lot. We've already seen a little bit. And you're going to show, they're going to be. I mean, that's, again, coming out right around the corner at that point,
Starting point is 00:43:11 I think October or something. And the Rock's going to be there. He's such a showman. It's going to be great. And then Shazam, but they'll show a couple things, whatever new trailer, a few new trailers from Warner Brothers stuff, and then a lot of Game of Thrones stuff. And then you're telling me this show.
Starting point is 00:43:24 So if I was to guess, the ones that I know are the House of Dragons. And I don't know if you're including season one and two, but let's say where you are. Okay, so just House of Dragon, whatever the hell it's called. House of the Dragon. House of the Dragon, thank you. The John Snow one you just named.
Starting point is 00:43:38 The John Snow one. What are the other ones? Here are the seven spots. That have been announced? Seven Spin-offs, Game of Thrones that have announced. The two you just named. Yes. Tales of Dunk and Egg.
Starting point is 00:43:48 I thought that was canceled. These are just the announced one. No, I don't think so. Okay. How often, how close is that report? This is coming from Screen Rant in June 17th. Of this year? Okay. Okay. Okay. So that one, the Duncan, the Tales of Duncan Egg. Then there's Game of Thrones the animated spinoff.
Starting point is 00:44:09 Okay. Which we know they're moving forward with. Then there's nine voyages. Another Game of Thrones prequel in development. Nine voyages effectively a possible spinoff of a spin-off. The show will center around Corlis Valerone, aka the sea snake, who will be portrayed by Steve Tosaint in House of the Dragon. So like a House of the Dragon spin off. Then 10,000 ships was announced. Another great voyage we'll be making for Game of Thrones spin-off, the time of story of Princess Namaria of Roin. Okay, great. Flea Bottom, King's Landing's Red Keep was often the key focal point of the show, so it's a flea-bottom spin-off.
Starting point is 00:44:45 That's the seven spinoffs. Okay. That's insane. Now, if they're just doing, but you said there wasn't a Game of Thrones panel that they were doing, and they're doing just... No, it's just House of the Dragon. It's just House of the Dragon. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:58 I kind of think we'll probably get... get some kind of news on John Snow or something? Yeah, maybe the animated series. And so did Georgia R. Martin. Or Amelia Clark confirmed it for John, for Kit Harrington, which is interesting. Okay, so then lots of Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones might steal the weekend.
Starting point is 00:45:15 I don't know, this is a pack day. Saturday is jam. Star Trek, that's going to be at 1245. This is Star Trek universe panel? That's the day before. Yeah. So no, all things Star Trek. Patrick's going to be there.
Starting point is 00:45:29 and wow, a big cast of Picard. Yeah, but that's just a setup for Marvel. Right, is that Marvel next? Marvel's coming. Actually, next is the Sandman special video presentation. I see I want to see that show. I think it looks really interesting. I don't think that I would be excited enough to care
Starting point is 00:45:48 to go to see it at a Hall Age panel. That's usually the way that they structure it out was they give you enough. Here's a few things. I remember one year was like Westworld. They threw in there, you know, and it's a popular enough show. And that's the Adam Sandler series. Which one is the Sandman?
Starting point is 00:46:06 Yes, yes, absolutely. I know the series. Have you seen the trailer for this? No, I haven't. It looks pretty good. Netflix. It looks pretty good. I'm excited for it, but I just, I wouldn't want to, I don't care enough about a panel yet.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Entertainment Weekly is doing a Hall Age panel after that. What's going on with that? Entertainment Weekly's bold school panelists, power players in the entertainment industry, share anecdotes about life lessons. I don't know. That's my point, though. These are the types of fill-ins. We get to the big, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Right. Guys, seriously. Just trying to get more money. Yeah, for sure. But, you know, it's one of those things where it's, does it need to be in Hall H? This panel, it's like they don't have enough stuff to put in Hall H right now. So they put something like that.
Starting point is 00:46:46 Well, you know what's closing out Hall H that day, though, now is Marvel. So the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which all they've said is that the panelists will be, Marvel president Kevin Feigy unveils what's next to the MCU series. and films. So, DC has actually stepped it up significantly with their presentations as well.
Starting point is 00:47:06 I would say that the only DC and Marvel actually put on shows when they do these Hall Age panels. No one has caught on yet. These panels are the same freaking thing
Starting point is 00:47:21 every time. It's just a moderator and people talking and the majority of the fans don't give a shit about the moderators and the people bouncing back and forth. They want to see the footage. They want to see the clips.
Starting point is 00:47:36 That's why they ultimately go there, but they give you that runaround. Yeah. Yeah, you want to be razzled-dazzled for sure. Marvel and DC have done it very well where they get the screens up on all the, like they utilize that hall, which is massive.
Starting point is 00:47:51 And on the sides and then screen, they have these big presentations when your DC did it where you look all the way around, you see all the stuff. I remember like the Aquaman presentation. You could see the wall. water on the side, but in the center there was Aquaman, and they make it a show. All of these things should be shows.
Starting point is 00:48:05 I remember the Transformers one year did it really well. They had like Stan Bush come out and play like a song at the end. That's cool. Make it a show. Like when we did the, we did the Cobra Kai thing at, for Netflix as a joke. Oh, no, no, no, recently. When I was, when I moderated the panel at the Nokia Theater, Netflix did it really like a fun thing. Yes, I moderated like a panel, but it wasn't.
Starting point is 00:48:29 just a panel. I asked them questions and I had I came, I started with Ralph Machio and Zapka and we talked about the show for a little bit. Then we went into some trailer footage and we went to some other things, but then they had games, Brett Ernst and Dan Adduke came out and they played like games. There was trivia battles between fans. The cast played trivia against each other. There was
Starting point is 00:48:47 the band who does the score, started playing music and at the end, Joe Esposito who plays, You're the Best Around, closed out the show with a cast dancing on stage and people losing their minds and they put on a show put on a show These people have been in line for hours
Starting point is 00:49:03 hours or days Usually the day before Yeah they'll be fine with the footage Yeah no give them A show and And Marvel and D and DC They've been doing that
Starting point is 00:49:14 I remember one year we went And Galgado and And Jason Mamoa come out And they're shaking hands of people in the crowd I think that was the year I was there Because that was They did the Thor Where they showed the footage of the
Starting point is 00:49:26 When he has a roommate That was like Yeah but remember when Tom Hiddell I don't really was the same one. Tom Hiddleston came out on stage as Loki. Yes. And did a whole thing as Loki. You know, one year, Johnny Depp came out as, what's his face from Grindal Wall?
Starting point is 00:49:40 I don't remember. I think he's Grindelwald is his name from Fantastic Be. And did a whole thing as. I remember that, actually. Do more stuff like that. Like, they're there because they're massive fans of the movies. They're there because if you give them that special moment like that and make it a show instead of just this generic crap, that's how you start to build up
Starting point is 00:49:59 these panels. That's why people would want to go. I'll just watch the trailer at home. You know, you give them a show. And you have to distract from the way it smells in there. So you really got it's bad because people stay in there because this is what they, this is what they do. They stay in there all day because if you go in a hall age at nine in the morning, if you're waiting online, if you stay in there, you can stay in there all day. And they'll let you out to, to pee and do you have a snack thing. But the snacks ain't healthy food. No. Pretzel farts going off every 10 minutes. Yeah. And it's like hot dog farts and everything.
Starting point is 00:50:31 People are dressed up and it's brutal. And they haven't slept all night. And it's not their fault. They just said that's how they're going to get in. So you got to sleep there. So it stinks in there. It stinks. The brutal San Diego heat.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Right. Yeah. It's everything you can possibly imagine. It's pretzel farts. It's it's mustard. Yeah, it's mustard farts. It's it's bad breath. It's, it's body odor.
Starting point is 00:50:56 It's people who haven't slept in a day. You know, Put on a show for those people. Put on a show for them. And it's like, and like, I remember when they did the Halloween thing one year. And I'm like,
Starting point is 00:51:07 why isn't Michael Myers down the sheet? They should have, and it's like, well, it's expensive. Tough shit. Put on a presentation because that you also get viral video out of it.
Starting point is 00:51:14 I don't know. I just, I don't get it. I don't get it. And for people, by the way, that are really cold there and people who really needs,
Starting point is 00:51:22 like a blanket, oh, I got one for you. Puffy blankets. Rumpel. Have you tried these rocks? No. They are awesome. Talk to me.
Starting point is 00:51:30 They're awesome. I got one because Vivian plays soccer, and Rumpel sent me one of their blankets. And I'm like, I don't usually always, they don't do well these blankets outside. They get really dirty. You break holes in them and everything, too. Not Rumpel. There are a lot of blanket options on the market, but there's only one that is dedicated to sustainability. So there are tons of blankets out there, but like I just mentioned, you put them on the outdoors, and they ain't cutting it.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Rumble has 135 prints, and it's perfect for the indoors and the outdoors. You can take it to the beach. Roxy's going to the beach soon. You should take it to the beach, camping, or just take it on a picnic. You put it on your own porch. It is really great. They're weatherproof, durable, cozy blankets made with the same technical materials that are used in premium outdoor gear and active wear.
Starting point is 00:52:19 This is what Roxy's going to like. Rumpel's on a mission to introduce the world to better blankets. Rocks, listen to this. They recycle over five. million plastic water bottles a year and offset their carbon footprint. Each blanket is made from 60 recycled water bottles. Whoa. Their products are weather resistant.
Starting point is 00:52:36 They're durable. And most importantly, they're cozy. They make products that are perfect for the outdoors or just on your couch. So what you do is 15%. It's save if you use the code Big Thing. But you have to visit rumple.com slash big thing and learn more. I've got the link in the description. So go and check that out.
Starting point is 00:52:56 humble. It's great. And yet again, you want to help the show out? Get yourself a blanket. But when you try it and when you get the blanket, let me know what you think of it. Put it in the description. I tell them and I send it to them and I send them your comments. I do it every single time that one of you talks about a product that you've gotten. I promise you. I screen you guys know. I try to answer all the comments back. And I screenshot it and I send it over to the to the reps every single time. So please let me know what you think if you get yourself a blanket. We talked a lot about Comic-Con today. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:28 That's our whole show, which I thought was, which is good. Glad I started it up on it. It made me more excited to go. However, I don't think I'm going to step foot in Hallage. You don't need to this year. I mean, if you want to go to any of those things, let me know. But, again, it's like, unless there's something you really want to see that you don't, all of that stuff that you mentioned, you're going to get somebody, like, so Germain Lucia goes every year.
Starting point is 00:53:49 Jimmy's great reporter at I-09. Check out his stuff. I follow. He's usually the guy that I'm checking for his updates when he's at the past. panels. He's usually all the panels, like, whether it's at like cinema con or whatever, his are my favorite. I go, I usually go to his and he gives all the breakdowns and I, and he's going to do the same. So those types of breakdowns of like what's being announced, you follow anyone of your favorite reporters and you'll get all that information, right? And I don't think there's, there might be
Starting point is 00:54:17 scenes from like, let's say, House of the Dragon that you're not going to be able to see until the show comes out. But the full trailer, that will come out. Lord of the, The Rings trailer, that will come out. Something tells me I'll survive without having seen House of the Dragons scenes. Right. The Dungeons and Dragons trailer, that will come out. The Shazam new trailer, that will come out. And then Sunday, just so you know, Hall H, all television.
Starting point is 00:54:41 So what do you got when you say all television? Like what? Honestly, not even their biggest televisions. Well, on Sunday, Mayans is starting in H. Which then is turning into what we do in the show. shadows, so that's Tyca. Okay. Is he going to be there?
Starting point is 00:54:59 I actually don't see his name even listed. I can imagine he's going to be there. So maybe not. It looks like it's going to be all the stars of the show. And then Riverdale, which I love. The show's still on, huh? Yeah. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Thanks for asking. No problem. Really, really good. So that's pretty much it. That's it. So Sunday usually is that that's when everybody's exhausted and it's like, I mean, there is a, hearing about all of it. There's like a slight fomo, you know,
Starting point is 00:55:26 slight. But are you doing it? You could come for Saturday. I mean, I did contemplate driving there to do Mark's show. I did contemplate doing that. That's cool. But I just, for that weekend, for everything, plus the fact, I'm going to do it again for, like, D23, there's going to be exclusive stuff. And I want to cover that.
Starting point is 00:55:47 And so I want to make. That's like September 8th or 9th or something? In L.A. It's in Anaheim. Yeah. So I think that this year, I'm just going to. take it off, hear about all the stories, and it probably covered Comic-Con next year.
Starting point is 00:56:01 And this is why they need to put on more of a show because what I'm hearing is, like, people are getting away from Comic-Con and it's not this big spectacular thing anymore. So if you're going to be there, make it something that people want to come to. That's what I mean. It's like, make it a show.
Starting point is 00:56:15 But that's not on, that's not on Comic-Con, though. Yeah, that's on the studios. And the studios are already spending, the one of the reasons, because Roxy was asking before, like earlier like the 2004 days the shows are bigger like the the amount of stuff that people were showing like the studios and everything were there they were everybody was there the parties were bigger everything because they were getting more bang for their buck on the coverage right and I think that it doesn't make that you wind up losing money if you're a studio because you don't like
Starting point is 00:56:45 what do you spend in the money on to put that presentation on so for them what I understand is what they would tell me if I made that whole spiel what I just said to you guys oh why don't you do this for the show they're going to go because that's That's going to cost us an extra $100,000, $200,000 for what? Why would we do that? Funzies. Because they're not selling the tickets. It's Comic-Con.
Starting point is 00:57:08 They're not selling it. They're just getting their stuff. So even hearing myself say it, like for the- Business-wise, you understand why. Business-wise, 100% I understand why. Because to them, they're like, I don't know, whatever. Stick someone entertaining up on there to moderate it. We'll show them the footage.
Starting point is 00:57:22 They'll be fine. They don't need to put a show on. Like if they want to get, if they want to put on a show and they want to get good footage out of it and they want people to go there, oh, we got to get, damn, we got to get to that Warner Brothers thing. We got to get to that universal one that show they're going to put on. I mean, they had real dinosaurs. I don't know how they brought real dinosaurs on. But like, like that type of stuff, like I get why the studios don't do it. I'm just saying, like, they would be able to do so much more footage-wise.
Starting point is 00:57:49 I think, like, I don't know, put it on a show. But again, they don't sell tickets to it. So why would they spend the money on it? I get it. It just sucks because you seem so defeated. Because I answer my own question as I thought about. It's like, you know, I could see myself in the room going, why don't you do this? What are you going?
Starting point is 00:58:03 We're going to spend $150,000 for extra to make sure that we're putting on shows and everything. Why? We're getting across. They're going to be in there anyway. This is what the answer would be. Maybe just hose them down instead. That's what they're going to say. They're going to go, they're going to be in there anyway.
Starting point is 00:58:18 You want to show them the footage. Who cares if they're like entertained up because I just think the energy in that room is so much differently. when you see what Warner Brothers and like Marvel does. Yeah. The energy is so much different for the other panels. Just like, so when you first heard you got the job, did you think it was going to be as exciting as it was? How excited are you to play?
Starting point is 00:58:39 Blah, blah, blah. Tell me about your character. Stoved. Does he have hair? I can't confirm or deny. Why did you decide to direct this film? Do you like cheese? Paid a lot of money and yeah, Parmesan.
Starting point is 00:58:53 That's for those. That's for the other halls. That's for the other. That's, yes. Right. Hall age should be, we should be special. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:00 And it's just like, so tell her. And it's like, the moderators, though, at Hall H, they do have control of. I've seen some great moderators. And I've seen some of the worst moderators. Think us. Ever. Like the moderators, because they're not putting that budget in there, it's on the moderators. Get that energy up in that room.
Starting point is 00:59:23 Like, I don't. I took my criticisms of moderators in the past, and I used that when I did the Nokia. I came out like I was performing at the garden in front of 7,000 people because I wanted to make sure that I got Ralph Machio and Williams Abkhya a massive round of applause when they came out. So I was treating them rocks like they were, they would have gotten in anyway. No, no, no. My face is about how many people are at the garden. It's got to be like 40,000. I don't know, whatever.
Starting point is 00:59:51 7,000. You're right. 100%. Garden is smaller than I imagine. The garden is empty when you're performing. What I did was take the amount of people that were there and put them to the garden. He's talking about his guard. Right.
Starting point is 01:00:06 Yeah, in my garden, there's 7,000 trolls just running around the place. But my point is, I actually took, I pretended that they were shodown competitors. Yeah. And the audience just doesn't know what they. And it's like, get people excited. And there are tons of great moderators that, like, Chris Harwick is a great moderator. He does do a really good job.
Starting point is 01:00:26 Like the walking dead stuff, everything. I don't know who's moderating. Sometimes they just, like he has lost a lot of his energy. He's not as good of a moderator as, as many of you one day. Probably, yeah. I mean, he's also,
Starting point is 01:00:36 and after a while, and when he was starting out and he was starting make his name, that's when he was the best. He's so knowledgeable that that's like what really is helpful. Yeah, he's funny. He's funny. So like that's the type of people.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Oh, Kelly Carter is some, we, she went on Collider Live. Kelly Carter is someone who, when I look at these, When we go to the premieres anytime they do these shows, and I've talked about Kelly before, but they do these shows beforehand, when you're sitting waiting and they interview,
Starting point is 01:01:03 and a lot of the same times, it's just the same generic stuff that you see over and over and over again. No one ever stands out, and they ask the same questions, and there's no personality involved in it at all. It's very rare that you find it. I went to see Lion King, live action with my daughter, and I remember that show started. I remember you talking about this.
Starting point is 01:01:21 And the live action show, started. Excuse me, before it started, they were doing the interviews beforehand. And I remember just being with my daughter and my attention immediately went to the screen. And I was like, that never happens because I, Kelly Carter was doing interviews and she is fun. She is knowledgeable. That's why we had her on the show, right?
Starting point is 01:01:42 You, like, loved her so much as the moderator. I was raving about her on something. And Marshall from Disney knows her and said, you should, you should have her on your show. I said, I would love to have Kelly on the show. Kelly is phenomenal. She is a massive personality, and she should be, I don't even know if she's interested in moderating these things,
Starting point is 01:02:00 but she would be someone like that kind of energy. That would be a great moderator. For, like, that's, those are the types of personalities I want to see moderating because they keep me, if I'm not going to have a show, then keep me entertained until they show the footage. Did you ever think about being a manager, Christian? Like, what, a talent manager?
Starting point is 01:02:18 Yeah. Uh, no. I feel like you know how to place people. I mean, I think I'd be better off like just full on producing and doing it that way because like I talent managed for nine seasons of the showdown. I'm over it. How to go. Sometimes great. Sometimes.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Sometimes sometimes sometimes. So, yeah, nine seasons of it. So, but anyway, but it's a good show today. Yeah. Before we leave, you guys have to give me one birthday. wish each of you something that you hope that happens to me at 31 I hope you find someone you're emotionally attached to you so you could have an orgasm thank you so that's the nice I'll send I'll send that one double okay okay you get a double okay thank you guys so much
Starting point is 01:03:08 that's true you got it and just that you have just a wonderful time and you don't worry about the fact that you're 31 it's not a big it's not a big deal it's 31 is I mean look 31 is is great listen show show your English friend you even show you English friend hello I Hello. Starting point is 01:03:27 Yeah, I think so. Okay, good. Thank you so much. I'll set you up on a new date. Yeah. All right. That was our show. That was our Comic-Con preview.
Starting point is 01:03:36 What we're going to see and all that stuff, and that was it. That's what we did today. We had it prepped. We knew what we were going to talk about from the second we got into the room. I left my credit card at a restaurant. I got to go get it. Is it true? Yeah, it's true.
Starting point is 01:03:46 All right. All right, I'll see you guys on the flip side. Thank you for joining us. And? Apologies. Apologies.
