Starting point is 00:00:00 Avatar, the third movie in the franchise is apparently the longest in all of the franchise so far. So what does that mean? And does it mean because of that? Is there a problem with the potential $2 billion that people think it could make? Is that just so far out of the realm of possibility? We shall see. So someone comment and say, well, I just don't see the hype around this one that much. If I had a dollar for every person that said that same thing,
Starting point is 00:00:29 for the last movie. If I had stake in it, I would make as much as that last movie did. Masters of the Universe, there's a first reaction, really, a test screening. That's going to happen tonight,
Starting point is 00:00:42 apparently. That's interesting. Where's that? It could mean some confidence. Frankenstein did good. Elizabeth Olsen said, she has no idea when she's going to return. Scarlet Witch said it won't be an Avengers doomsday.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Yet another person. who seems like should be in the movie that says that they won't be. They full of BS? Well, that and more on the show here today with myself and Steph Sabra. So is Steph in the waiting room as we speak? I wish I knew. Welcome back to the show. Ladies and gentlemen, it's a Christian Harle show here today on this Thursday,
Starting point is 00:01:33 waiting for Steph Sabra. She's having some computer issues, but you boot that up and she'll be here in just a second. put out our reaction to predator killer of killers. I'll talk to her about that when she comes in, but I dug it. You guys were right. I didn't know. There was, I probably only seen, I thought I saw the entire first short story. And I didn't.
Starting point is 00:01:56 I only saw maybe five or six minutes of it because there's tons of it that I didn't, I didn't know. And then we watched it. And then we gave our thoughts afterwards. We'll give our thoughts again. So I think today, I guess Luke's in here. Luke, send me a text.
Starting point is 00:02:13 I think it's, was it 74 from yesterday? Double check. We'll double check. A lot of stuff going on in the channel. We got that. We have the reaction for Wicked with myself and Sam and then Wicked 2. Out of the theater reaction hits on Saturday night. What's the other one?
Starting point is 00:02:34 Oh, Mugan Train, going to be dropping on the morning. of Saturday and then I think potentially Sunday I might just do a review of the Welcome to Derry episode instead instead of the reaction because it really seemed that people really tune it into those reactions. So I think I'll just kind of review it because I want to watch the rest of the series. And then we got some other stuff going on. I know Ming's coming in and we're going to do we're going to do it chapter two and then Sam's coming in and I'm trying to figure out We're going to find like a two-hour movie to watch because that's how much time we have for tomorrow. But that's what we got.
Starting point is 00:03:14 So Steph did make it. We got her here. So without any further, I do, here is Steph Sabra. Hello, Steph. How are you? Mike, your microphones have. It's because I muted myself. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:03:31 I said, hello, Christian. I'm doing very well. How are you? I'm well. I haven't seen you in 24 hours. I know. Look, too long. My guy.
Starting point is 00:03:40 I know. I put, I put that reaction's up. Oh, it is? Yeah. It's up. Man, the team over here. Frushing. It's amazing. It's doing good. And I was just talking to the audience and saying how much, like, we both really enjoyed it. Oh, yeah. It was really good. It was solid. Solid anime. It was awesome. And it's one of those things. I've been thinking about prey and killer of killers. Mm-hmm. A lot, like the story sits with you. Yeah, it does. And I think that I, and as I told you, I had seen, I thought I had seen all that first story.
Starting point is 00:04:17 And then I realized halfway through us watching it that I hadn't. I love the way they played everything together. Yeah. Yeah. That was awesome. Yep. And unexpected. I thought it was going to be just three separate chapters.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Yeah, it was great. I really enjoyed it. And yeah, they said that the animation looked like video game story animation, which I really liked. Yeah, yeah, it did. That's a good point. I dug it. So that reaction is up now if you guys want to check it out. Killer, killer is the animated.
Starting point is 00:04:47 If you love animated and you don't watch our animated stuff, I don't understand. Like if you didn't watch the Alex Wu interview and you're an animated person, you don't watch it. I don't get it. If you love animation, then you should be supporting us when we talk about it, interview people from it. Watch it. Otherwise, you can't comment anymore. That's the goal. You can't ask for it anymore.
Starting point is 00:05:10 No, you can't, you can't, you can't, you're not allowed to write about animation anymore in the comments. If you don't watch everything we do on the animated side, that's, that's the rules moving forward. Period. That's it. I'm with it. Yeah. So, we did, I did, did you, you're going to love, you're going to love in your dreams. Oh, you saw it?
Starting point is 00:05:33 I saw it about two months ago, right? And it was it? Yeah, it was about two months ago. And I went into the city to see it because I was going to interview the director. So I interviewed the director. That interview took place like a month and a half, two months ago. And I was, you know, they asked me to sit on it until the week of the release, which I was like, yeah, of course. And they wanted originally to put it on.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Well, here's another thing, which is I could have actually probably played it on Friday because we're not doing capes and cows this Friday. Because yesterday, Ed Harrell had done. made me aware. Jen Sturger's going to be in town tomorrow. And then I guess he tweeted at her. Then she texted me. And she's like, so she's going to come into town.
Starting point is 00:06:15 We're going to do a live show with Jen and I tomorrow. Oh, that's perfect. Yeah, you got to do that. So I'm taking the week off from Cates to do that tomorrow. But how did I get down that road? We were talking about it.
Starting point is 00:06:28 In your dreams. Yeah, in your dreams. So anyway, Alex Wu, the director, they wanted me to put it on Friday. But I was like, you know,
Starting point is 00:06:36 I think it would be better if we put it on Wednesday. day and and so um we aired the interview yesterday on on the show and um and man he's he's he's the best but you're going to really like that movie okay i'm going to watch the interview too yeah i i'm hearing really good things about the movie in general love it you'll you'll it's it's right up your alley um okay i almost want yeah you know what hmm thinking maybe that's what we watch next week you and i oh because it'll be out i'd be down. Let me know.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Why don't you see? Look, listen, if you're, it's not one of those themes about, like, I'll behold you to. If you're, if you're, if you're watching you and Harry, you're like, let's watch this and it pops up and you guys watch it this weekend, then fine. If you haven't watched it by, by, you know, next week, then maybe that's what we'll do, or we'll jump back to the Arnold movies. Either way.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Okay. Okay. Yeah. Uh, UFK-A-K has never been part of this show before, has never been here before, has never been here before, has never seen one of these shows before because he asked, I thought we were talking about Avatar by our. and ash is the show over stuff has the show ended without me knowing it's been a few minutes it's done to my knowledge imagine i hit i hit record and i was just like
Starting point is 00:07:49 so fire and ash fire nash fire nash fernard that's all you're good for yeah yeah you love spider so much oh my god don't slur me out so early in the morning on the west coast that's the only spider reference i'll give you for the entire for the rest of the show Do you believe me? I'm so, no, no. Yeah. Yeah, I've learned to be less gullible on this show. That's the good news about working with you and Mike and Rocks.
Starting point is 00:08:21 It's like, okay, I'm with people who are not. Well, Rock's kind of gullible. Yeah. You and Mike. I like to trick her lots. Oh, you want to see. Because I miss you and Mike on the show because you don't get to see some of the, you know, the before. I know.
Starting point is 00:08:36 But just look at like this is. what he's given us. He's given us so many gems. Hey, Harlough! Harlough! It plops on the plate. He is a star undiscovered. Hey, Willie! It's so good.
Starting point is 00:09:03 It's so good. If that's not an ad for multiple personality disorder. He is really the gift. You know what's funny about that, the Tuesday episode? I feel like it's really has kind of found its stride because like initially it was it was kind of rough not me just people would be getting into arguments with each and each other and uh and it was like it was messy but now it's it's been a really fun kind of vibe the last uh i guess well yeah i thought that might
Starting point is 00:09:34 happen because no it won't because they work together for so many years right but then i think there was tension because they hadn't worked together maybe maybe maybe and then they had to like reform what they love about each other it's it's really it's really funny because mike under mike gets the assignment of what he's you know doing and his stuff his camera and his internet i haven't an issue with it at all i literally texted him because i was watching the show with you guys and i was like i can see his pores like this is right he has exceptional internet i'm like what did you do he's like i just got a new computer i was like what the fuck when she did in the first place. It's heard.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Anyway. But that's all? That is it. No, is it. Yours is significantly better. Winston's a significantly better. Roxy has great cameras of her just their lighting. I just wish that she would put, I just wish that she would, she's had to the dining room table one time and it was the best. Yeah, it's so bizarre. This is why lighting is so
Starting point is 00:10:30 hard. Like, you need it professional sometimes because she actually has a legit, expensive ass overhead light and a ring camera. And it just like doesn't look good. I wonder if it's the same thing that happened with you with the white balance. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Maybe that is it. Yeah, that's true. It might be in the setting. That's so true. It's so bright. And it just doesn't, it just doesn't do her justice. Because I think,
Starting point is 00:10:58 and I think that's why she gets defensive over sometimes. She's like, it's professional lighting. I don't doubt it. I had the longest time the stuff was blown out. And even here, even here when we had this studio, it wasn't,
Starting point is 00:11:08 we didn't have certain lights up. and it doesn't it didn't pop as much. So, and it's still things I want to do at lighting. So it's a real pain in the push. Anyway, I don't know if you know this stuff, but apparently someone in the chat does, we're going to be talking about fire and ash. I did know that.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Did you? I didn't know that. I wasn't aware. So let's get into this particular topic. And the first side of it is just how long the movie is, right? Because these movies are traditionally long. They have been. I think the first one was three hours, the second one.
Starting point is 00:11:40 was a little over three or whatever it was. Well, this one is going to have the longest runtime out of all of them. And a runtime for James Cameron's Avatar, Fire, and Ash, it's been revealed, and the fans should prepare for a long sit-down when this movie hits theaters next month. Previous to Avatar movies didn't breeze by, but the runtime for James Cameron's upcoming three-c has been revealed, and Fire and Ash will be the longest franchise so far, according to an official AMC listing Avatar and Ash will clock in at a butt-numbing three hours and 15 minutes.
Starting point is 00:12:10 mold. Um, so 2009's was only 242. I thought, really? I just could have sworn it was three. I guess not. 242 for Avatar to. Oh, wait. No. See, I just read that wrong. Okay. 2009's Avatar ran for two hours, 42 minutes while 2022's way of water was three hours and 12 minutes. So it's not like, you know, it's only like three minutes more. It's not like, you know, it's going to feel so much longer than the last one. Right. Right. Right. And then though these movies had the detractors, the first two films were massively successful at the box office, and we fully expect Fire and Ash to follow suit this December, especially as it's been confirmed at the first trailer for Doomsday will screen ahead of the movie. Press screenings and first reactions to Fire and Ash are still a few weeks off, but Frankenstein, Cameron D'Otoe has seen the movie and said it was safe to say he's a big fan.
Starting point is 00:13:02 He said, they are absolute masterpieces for me. I know where James Cameron is going and it will surprise a lot of people. the filmmaker said while discussing some of his favorite films with the video club. The big creative advance is just going to be great character death. We're going to see new cultures, new creatures, all the same stuff you'd expect from an avatar movie. But the whole idea of the cycle of this film is to live with these people, go on this epic journey with them. So I think it's not about we're going to show you the best water VFX ever done. But you get more into the heart and soul, the characters.
Starting point is 00:13:33 And that's some very interesting new characters that come in as well. This is a journey over time. into movie three into four and five there's an epic cycle to the whole thing so step i know for this is one of the reasons that we're covering this on the show is you and i are are big avatar fans so um this gets me hyped up this gets me excited three extra minutes it's like three 15 312 the the three you know 312 made almost two billion or two billion whatever the hell it made um is this going to affect the box office at all? And do you think this has a shot to make $2 billion?
Starting point is 00:14:14 I don't think this is going to affect the box office at all. Like James Cameron has earned it. The franchise has earned it. He can, it could have been three hours and 45 minutes. I would have said, hell yeah. I'll just, I'll just make it work. You know,
Starting point is 00:14:29 I'll figure it out. I won't drink that much during it. It will be fine. I think and just hearing the news of going into character depth more and he just has such a great balance of the visuals being better than anything you've ever seen. But then the story itself, at least for me, has always really worked because of the characters. So it's just exciting to see that that's going to be what he's doing moving forward. And I don't think, I think this will definitely break to. I think it will do as good as it did last time at least.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I know that the box office is a little different this year, but it's like they showed up for Jurassic Park. They're showing up for Avatar. I mean, yeah, they didn't show up. Yes, I agree with everything you said. The one thing to take into integration with that is yes, they definitely showed up for Jurassic Park or Jurassic World, whatever, in this year, and it was one of the highest grossing movies,
Starting point is 00:15:25 but it still was a lot less than the previous entries. I think that Jurassic World, the last one did something like 800 million where it was the first one not to break a billion since Jurassic World came out in 2015 or whatever that was. It's 2016, I don't remember. But either way. So there could be a little bit less that happens. Now, one of the things that I'm very curious about is as where I think as two and three,
Starting point is 00:15:53 I think they were kind of shot around the same time, two and three. I think they shot a lot of three within two. so some of the budget is kind of scaled down on it so it's not as much that maybe you think it could be as far as profit-wise, but still a hefty amount that you've got to cross at least a billion, I think. It'll do that. And then people had written in the comments, well, I don't see a lot of hype on this one. So I don't think it's going to do that well. Do you know how many people said that about the last movie?
Starting point is 00:16:20 There was no hype. No one cares about Avatar anymore. It's been too long. It's been too many years. Yeah. 13 years, no one's going to care. 14 years, no one's going to care. it's just not going to do it.
Starting point is 00:16:31 And then it was one of the, it was a massive. It's just there's something magical about watching these movies in the theater because even people, let's shouldn't say all people, but a lot of people who just think the movies are okay and they forget about them. Like Mike's an example, right? Mike goes, I go and see them. I see them in the theater and I never think about them again. Yeah, but you still want and saw it in the theater.
Starting point is 00:16:53 That's what people are doing. It says a theater experience and I think it's going to carry over again. it's a theater experience and it's also kind of done the same thing that lord of the rings has done where it's like locked in and i don't know if harry potter was consistently during the christmas time but it's locked in that christmas hana kwanza time where like people are together it's the holidays and at least from my family it's like a tradition now like if there's an avatar movie we're going to see it in theater especially because last year was the best when we got to see it or two years ago now. It was the best. So we were all texting in the family chat today like, okay, let's lock in these tickets. Like we're going.
Starting point is 00:17:37 We're going together. So either way, like if you're like us, you just love the avatar, you're going to show up. That's a huge population throughout the world. You know, it's not just America. Then there's the population of, it's just a winter movie that people are going to see when they're home for the holidays.
Starting point is 00:17:53 And then there's a population, like, I'm going to see it because visually it's a stunning movie. be even if I don't really care about the story. So it kind of like hits all the boxes that a box office needs to get like those numbers. What do you think about your new lower third? Oh my gosh. I love it. Spider fan.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Where'd that come from? Oh my God. You love it. You love it. I knew it. The fact that he's in that, I like forgot that he existed for like a brief moment of fantasy time. and then I saw his photo. Why would you do that?
Starting point is 00:18:32 Oh my God. If this little guy, if he doesn't turn into an avatar, he's going to do something messed up. I think he's going to be the turncoat. You think he's going to be the villain? I think he's going to start to be. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Okay, well, they should just yeat that little guy off. Maybe so. Like you punt him into the water like 100 yards. He won't be able to come back. Yeah, it's, I agree with you. But I don't think it's going to happen. I think he's going to wind up causing. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:19:07 He's going to like sins of my father's past and become that. Listen. Oh, look, I'm standing on something. Oh, yeah. That's so cute. Hey, I'm kind of with you on this one. I think he's a little bitch boy. You bitch.
Starting point is 00:19:22 Right. Like, I think you should tee back him. Oh, that. That's been done, baby. You've already done it to Spider? Yeah. He was sleeping. He said, I said, here's your new avatar.
Starting point is 00:19:33 I dipped and ran. Oh, thank you for your service. That's incredible. I'll probably slow him down a little bit. High five. Okay. Oops. I can't move.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Oh, there you are. Yeah. Oh, uh-oh. Don't do that. Don't do that. Okay. Yeah. We got more respect for you on that one.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I thought that was your hand. That's what they all say. Okay. Okay. Thank you, Big Balls. I appreciate that. Very nice. Nice for them to show up for you.
Starting point is 00:19:59 All right. We got you. Happens the best of us. It does. So, yeah, I'm excited to see what this movie does because I will be there. I can't wait. I can't. I always look forward to these.
Starting point is 00:20:10 I just turn my phone off. I do. Once I walk in there, I'm in Pandora. That's it. I am sitting down. Totally. I'm immersed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:21 I'm immersed. You just have to invest in the recliner seats for that time. Yeah, that's it. You got to get recliner for the three hours. Yeah. So we'll see. I'm curious what people think. Are they excited for Avatar? Do they think that the runtime is going to hurt it, not do any difference as whatever? Will it hit that $2 billion mark?
Starting point is 00:20:41 What say you? Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. Steph, I went to the dentist this morning. Oh. And it's just regular for like a cleaning, which was good. Love my new dentist. Oh, that's rare.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Good job. Yeah. Well, my wife had gone and she highly recommended them. So, and they're great. Very, very good. And what was even better was I said to the woman, I said, can I put on the headphones during the cleaning? She said, yeah, absolutely 100%. I put my, my racons on my, and they just blocked that everything.
Starting point is 00:21:12 She's like, at the end of it, she's like, those are great. I was like, they're great. And I told her about the code. And I get, and she said, her son's looking for some new ones. So I was like, yeah, you got to get. I wear, I literally wear them everywhere. So I'll tell you guys about Raycon a little more. Tell you about Butcher Box too.
Starting point is 00:21:28 You do that you cook, right? Yeah. All the time. Oh, man. So Butcher Box, Roxy, I already put her on and check out Butcher Box, but I'll tell you about Raycon first. I'll tell you, it's ready Christmas time for me. I had word that Butcher Box was back, baby. Oh, I love Butcher Box.
Starting point is 00:21:44 So good because I know there's a lot of people out there when you look at your freezer. It looks like a crime scene of forgotten leftovers. Mine was the same way, too, man. Butcher Box, oh, the way that I'm eating, the way I've been telling you guys I've been eating, they got responsibly sourced proteins and they ship them right to your door. There's no mystery meat. Starting point is 00:22:04 If you're serious about fueling your body with the best, you've got to look no further, man. Butcher Box, it's got clean, high-quality protein without the junk. I love them. Butcher Box delivers over 100 premium protein choices and they come straight to your door. Starting point is 00:22:26 with meat and seafood that's antibiotic-free. For me, right now, look, I love seafood, but for me, I'm just on a chicken and beef kick right now. And they got it,
Starting point is 00:22:35 and it's so good. I love throwing it on the grill, but you don't have to do that. It's really great. You're going to love it. Every box of chips free always and includes member-only perks. It's got recipe inspirations,

Butcherbox.com slash Christian.
Starting point is 00:23:07 You have to use our link. That way, they know that we sent you, and they say, hey, this guy wasn't lying. He does love us. And his listeners love him too. What? What happened? Where's Steph go? It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:23:21 I'll forget her back on a second. Poor stuff, what you mean? That'll matter. You matter. Butcherbox and Raycon. I absolutely love them. I've been raving about him. You'll rave about them too.
Starting point is 00:23:33 I told me, dentist this morning. Come on. Steph, we'll be here eventually. What's going on? That's weird. What just happened? She's like I can see her.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Oh, there you go. That was bizarre. Really weird. I'm online right now. I know that was bizarre. Are you looking at Butcherbox? Hell yeah, I am. I'm literally every time I order, not to put sprouts on blast right now, but I'm like a big wild caught salmon gal and I like I kind of won't eat salmon if it's not wild caught.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Okay. And every, I'm not every time. I would say five out of ten times I've ordered wild caught salmon, it stinks. Like it like, I'm like, this is already bad. This is disgusting. But I really try to eat salmon like once a week. So this is groundbreaking for me. I'm it's the best.
Starting point is 00:24:25 I'm telling you like they're so good. And it's like I'll, we're going to do probably a little less grilling right now because it's starting to get pretty cold here. But I like to grill a lot of the stuff, but I'll also put it in what I need. I need a bunch of chicken. I've been eating.
Starting point is 00:24:39 Doesn't have I mean chicken and beef. Right. Today, today had a good chicken like a meatloaf. It was really healthy with some. Yeah. And it's nice when you don't have to worry about it with your grocery list because you're like already on a schedule. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:24:52 I love it. So anyway, check that out, guys, please. Do you care about the Masters of the Universe movie? I care because you care. Okay. But no, because I don't know, I don't know them. You need to see a trailer and stuff, right? Right.
Starting point is 00:25:09 I don't know who the masters are. Right. And you need to hear the first reactions and what people are saying. Okay, yeah. I need to actually kind of like hear your reaction and then someone who's like me who doesn't have a hold to it. You might get some of that, I think, tonight because there's going to be some early screenings that looks like. First reaction revealed as test screenings reportedly are taking place tonight. So I'm curious about this.
Starting point is 00:25:35 I'd like to see. I mean, it depends on who's going, though. That's the question, because the first influencer screenings are always the same. I don't even know if anybody ever says anything negative during the influencer screening. So I don't know if that's what's taking place. We'll see. though it's only one reaction for the time being we have a highly positive report on the live action Masters Universe movie following some recent test screens okay I guess somebody did see it and we'll hear their thoughts apparently they'll like it who was it director
Starting point is 00:26:03 a masters of the universe fans as they look forward uh anxiously at some footage that's coming up from the upcoming live movie we're hearing the first trailer is going to be really soon reports are coming in that test screenings are being out tonight according to he mania I see what you did there The screenings are taking place on both coasts of the United States, Jersey, New Jersey, and California. From what we gather, what a random place to have it in New Jersey. Right. So random. It will be a not quite finished version of the movie with some incomplete V of X. I would want to see it like that. Those lucky enough to attend will most likely be sworn to secrecy.
Starting point is 00:26:44 That always doesn't stop people from spilling details, but we do have one very positive reaction via, oh, it can't be. I guess can't be a solid. Oh, no, no, he talked to somebody who did see. I talked to somebody who has seen him in, who has seen it in its early stages, and they said, it's amazing. And they said it isn't somebody who's got any dog in it. That's kind of like you stuff.
Starting point is 00:27:01 This isn't somebody that has anything to benefit from it. They said it's amazing. They said they were totally shocked, completely surprised, but they said it's amazing. Obviously, it's just one person's opinion, but we'll be sure to update if anything else is posted online. First teaser expected to hit next month, though we have also heard that it could be sooner. And in description recently, did the rounds online. Apparently, the teaser is going to give us a full look at several of the Masters of Universe characters.
Starting point is 00:27:23 And it seems the motion capture actor we saw Nicholas Galzatine and Camilla Mendez reacting to in those set photos were was playing Cringer, not Beast Man. The footage reportedly concludes with Prince Adam raising his power sword and saying the iconic phrase that allows him to transform it to hemans. It was an early cut of the trailer where several shots on green screen still and a bit difficult to see due to the security watermarks. But it was apparently good. It was 75% WIP. The cut was quite rough, so it means, it was by no means polished. But the characters I saw, they all look good. It opens with Prince Adam talking to a friend on Earth, and they are confused because
Starting point is 00:27:59 Cringer is there. And they discuss the Green Tiger. From there, it goes to Prince Adam, going to his homeworld and learning about his lineage from who I think is the sorceress, hard to see because of the watermarks. After that, it bounces around a little bit more. And you see Prince Adam talking to a few people from attorney. There's a brief glimpse of Skeletor and who I think was Evil Lynn. The trailer does show Prince Adam raising the sword and yelling, I have the power, and you see the transformation a few quick scenes of him fighting his he man, and then it ends.
Starting point is 00:28:25 The leaker also says the skeleton resembles his animated series counterpart, and that the movie looks like it's going to be a solid origin story. Okay. So, you know, my journey with this property is crazy. It's crazy. Where for people who are brand new to the channel and know a brief little overview of it was I was a big Bastards of the Universe. man growing up as a kid. I really enjoyed the originally 80s one. I used to get all the toys. And then you fast forward into watching the 2002 one on Cartoon Network, which is absolutely incredible. But we're really kind of attached to it as myself and Mark Riley had written
Starting point is 00:29:04 this overall treatment for it when I was working at Winter Brothers. And we, even though we got screwed over by this dildo on wheels named Neil. But he was the worst. But either way, it wound up getting bought by, Warner Bros. took it on. Silver Pictures was working on it. They were doing this whole thing developing on it because myself and Riley, essentially. So that project just kept falling through. So I was always rooting for it because I always thought it could be taken seriously
Starting point is 00:29:37 in a Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings type of fashion. And I was in every other take that they kept coming up with just sounded terrible. And the people they were casting, I was I was never excited for it. they had hired Travis Knight, which I loved his work in Bumblebee. And then I had heard some things about the movie, about the fact I still don't like that he's on Earth, but apparently, you know, and I was,
Starting point is 00:29:58 I was like, this is going to be just as bad now. They're going to do the same thing they did with the Masters Universe in the 80s. So I was like, but I still have faith in Travis Knight. And then I had heard from a source, because I was concerned about how skeletor looked. There was this leak image of Skeletor and it looked ridiculous,
Starting point is 00:30:16 like with Jared Leto with almost like a mustache. It was horrendous. But it was the person told me, no, it was laughing. He's like, no, that's, that's fake. That, that's not, that is, that's fake. They, they have seen what he looks like. And he said, they said, it's incredible. And he looks, and they don't even, you know, he's great.
Starting point is 00:30:36 So, and they said, even know it's him. Yeah. Not much on earth. There's not much on earth. That, most of it's on attorney. So I'm like, okay. And now I hear this, I get excited for it. So, uh, which is what you wanted, right?
Starting point is 00:30:52 You didn't want, you didn't want it on earth, right? Yeah, I didn't want to. I didn't want to. I didn't want, I definitely didn't want our earth. The, the, the show, you know, you should watch the 2002 one. Okay. Uh, the Cartoon Network one before this comes out because I, it's not, it's going to play more into the 80s one. Um, but I don't know if that was.
Starting point is 00:31:16 will hold up now, you know, from the 80s to now. But I think the 2002 one does, even though this is going to play more into that. But I don't know, you hear this and hear it from someone who, as can't be as here, it's not from someone who's a dog in the fight. It's not someone who's necessarily a big he man fan. And they raved about it. So it's only one person. That person could have a very different taste from you.
Starting point is 00:31:42 But does that intrigue you at all? Yeah. Yeah. I think like I forgot in the beginning, but it gets brought up and rightfully. So Travis Knight is a person that I definitely believe in as a creator. Kubo and the Two Strings, Bumblebee, just two completely different films, but some of my favorite. So I do feel like it's in good hands. And that is nice news to hear, regardless of whether it plays out or not.
Starting point is 00:32:14 like there's so many times where there's hype and then it doesn't work or there's bad talk and then it's really great so who really knows but it's nice to hear that the and they will be cool to hear what the initial response is but i agree if it's influencers that doesn't really matter i do kind of care more about like the community who really watches these types of movies yeah i just don't know for me it's like the because there's more so and this is the difference though this is And there's not, and I want to make it very clear, it's not a shade on, on those people, but they are, a lot of them are literally there just for, that's what people don't understand when they say, like, critics go, pay chills and this and that, and they go there and they do,
Starting point is 00:32:54 and they just don't want to lose their access. Press screenings, you're invited to, by, invites everybody to studios to go to press screenings. So there's no, doesn't chill access to a press screening because you could be shitting on the movie when you go. But I do think there's something to be said about these, the influencer, events and influencer things. Not that it's paid shill and all that, but they're going for the event of it. They're going for
Starting point is 00:33:17 they're not going there to really review it. They're going there to promote it. That's right. That's what the influencers are there for. And that's why the studios have prioritized them because it's a marketing screening for them. Right. And it really isn't like a shade thing. It's just, I
Starting point is 00:33:33 know a lot of influencers and I like, I was just at a birthday party with a bunch of influencers who are like now getting into film and it is really cool to be like you know they're like kind of awakening into the world of film and like seeing what it has to offer so a lot of them are kind of getting their taste buds up but it is like it is very uh they're just like new it's not like the same they're just excited to be there they're like want to do their fun tic talks and that's cool like that's just like
Starting point is 00:34:05 what their lane is but it's not the same thing as and i'm not saying like i always listen to the critics either but it's not the same thing. It's not the same thing. So, but here's the difference though. Again, so we're making it clear that we're not showing shade. I think what they're important for these influencer screenings and these other things is that what it does is it brings awareness to the movie. I do not. Yeah. I do not really pay attention to like when I see people who are getting invited to the special events and stuff too, like for the TV events and the other things, I know they're going to love it. So I'm not listening to that. I know. I'm not listening to that. I know.
Starting point is 00:34:41 they're going to love it but now i'm aware of it oh you do you know what i like you as a person and now you made me aware of this television show or you made me aware of this movie um now i'm you know you said you liked it i knew you were going to like it because you you like 99% of everything you go to because that's kind of what why you're getting invited which makes sense of course for for the influencer stuff that's why they may have prioritized them so yeah and they make content that people click into I don't know what tonight is, this screening for Masters and Universe. It's not a press screening.
Starting point is 00:35:18 And I don't like going to the non-finished screenings because of an experience that I had with, I remember. And this is why I've had the opportunity, really. We interviewed him once, McGee back in the day. But before that, I was working, when I was in between, I was working at Silver and then I went and did my first pilot. And I had taken time. I quit Silver.
Starting point is 00:35:46 And then I went and I started temping at Warner Brothers and through the system. And I was working for Peter Roth, who was like the president of Warner Brothers television. And so when I was there working when McGie came in, super nice guy. And he's like, hey, and it was 2009. And he's like, hey, I'm working on. I'm screening my Terminator movie tonight that he was working on. And he's like, do you want to go? I just met him.
Starting point is 00:36:17 And he's like, it's on the lot. You can go. So he's like, bring a friend. So I took Riley with me and the CGI wasn't all the way done. I don't necessarily love that movie. I didn't love it when I saw it. And I think I liked it a little less because it sucked me out of it when I saw the green screen and the helicopters weren't real and all this. I'm like, ah, and I don't want to do it.
Starting point is 00:36:40 that and that's maybe a personal thing yeah that completely makes sense i i don't have as keen of an eye on stuff like that so i'd probably be a fine candidate but i think if something like i would never want to see an unfinished avatar because part of it is like the polish and the finish of it especially when it's so cgi heavy or effects heavy and i think this is going to be that i i i'd probably not want to see it. Right. But I do have really high hopes for Travis Knight. I just think he, I think he's a special filmmaker.
Starting point is 00:37:17 I think he, and I think he's a special filmmaker in this space, right? Because you get, you get guys like Eggers who has found his niche in the horror genre, in the same way that like Jordan Peel has found his niche in the, in the horror genre. There are just people who do smaller things like, oh, I want to say, When Nolan makes his movies, like, oh, that's going to be such a kind of epic, interesting experience. We need a guy in the blockbuster range to be that guy, to be like, oh, I just want to see what this guy's going to do with this. It's going to be special. And I feel like he can be that guy.
Starting point is 00:37:53 And especially if he turns Masters of Universe into a hit, because there's two things he's got to do that we've both represented on this show today. The first thing he's got to do, and I actually think this is the smaller side of it, I think he's really got to please the hardcore fans. like myself. And I think that's usually a really big part of it. But the hardcore fans of this, I don't believe, are there's some franchises if you just please the hardcore fans, you're going to be in a good spot in general. Right. He's these Marvel fans in general. You're being a good spot. You've got to expand a little bit more, but you'll be in a good spot if you can please the Marvel fans. It'll probably expand because of it. The Masters fans are, they're big, but it's not like that. So even if you please them and nobody else is interested in
Starting point is 00:38:35 seeing the movie. You just, you can make a good movie, but who cares? What he's got to do, and if he's able to do that is to please and say that, okay, that guy keeps complaining about it. Here's your master, shut your ass. Hey, the girl with the cool headphones. Guess what I got for you. And you love the movie. And then you go and you start to binge Masters in the universe and now you become a Masters fan. That's the goal. Yeah, totally. Totally. And I, I think that he, he's already made some cool choices and I think that I agree with you like someone who can kind of make these stories applicable to multiple groups of people because it is true I think if the the core fans of master of the universe are like this is awesome that will be like a great spark
Starting point is 00:39:24 of conversation kind of like how the newest predator has done like I feel like predators like it's a pretty massive franchise but it's not it's like kind of like more 80s, 90s, it's like they had to get the younger generation, I feel like, and they're doing that with this one because the true fans went and then like, I feel like the word of mouth really did well for that movie. And I think this would be kind of similar in that sense where like the true fans started off and then people are like, okay, then that will be great. Yeah, I'm excited to see how they do. I'm way more looking forward to it now than I was a month ago. Um, which is, which is, which is great because I'm actually excited for it now.
Starting point is 00:40:08 And when's the actual release date? Summer leave. Let's see. This is a really early screening. Yeah. It means they also have confidence in it, right? Totally. That's awesome. Yeah. I think it's June 5th. Okay. That's it. I mean, it's going to be, I think that they're doing a good job with marketing
Starting point is 00:40:31 this movie, I will say. Yeah. Yeah. People are aware of this. then because they're really Amazon's really pushing it. Totally. And I do see some people in the chat talking about Alison Brie and I get, I get that some people might have like a certain idea of her because she's done a lot of funny roles. But she's actually really done a lot of horror too. And she has range.
Starting point is 00:40:56 Like I wouldn't count her out. Like don't let that be. Don't type past her. Yeah. Because she actually is like, I'm such a fan of hers though. But I really think that she's one of those actresses where she'll do what is asked of her and do it really well. I think that's my concern to maybe what the chat's concern is, right? She will do exactly what she's asked to do.
Starting point is 00:41:18 And the question is, what is she being asked to do? Right, right. Did they bring her on to make it a little bit more comedic? If that's the case, I hope not. I know they're going to play into some of the, from what, oh, this is one thing that I did here. And I think people were wondering about this. and I haven't talked about this yet, but the tone of the movie is like Guardians of the Galaxy
Starting point is 00:41:39 three, I think they said. Guardians of the Galaxy, maybe not three, but maybe Guardians of the Galaxy. Okay. In that range. Now, then, I guess the follow-up for me is does that mean we're getting Guardians' Galaxy two or three?
Starting point is 00:41:56 Right. I'll take one or three, but no thank you for, maybe the emotionality stuff in some of the jokes but for the most part let's stick to the three yeah but alison brie's good alison brie she can handle it she can make it work for sure totally yeah her last um together i think it was called it's like totally different so she's not just a comedic actress no no no she's not um all right masters of universe let me ask you guys both in the live chat in the replay
Starting point is 00:42:27 and then of course on the clips channel are you were you looking forward to this movie at all have you started to get a little bit more interested? Are you there yet? They're going to see it in the theater? I'm very curious to really see where you guys are with this one. Okay, so we've got a couple more stories because it's not so much today, but right now, Steph, we need for you to hit 76 to tie. Okay. It's currently at 16.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Okay. So we've got to have a little bit of a battle here. But let's see if there's anything else that we can discuss, talk about today as we build up on some more questions. Let's talk about Frankenstein. Have you seen this yet? Yes. You did see it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:25 That was my question. I'm probably going to wind up watching this soon with either Ming or Sam. I haven't seen it yet. Oh, yeah. Okay. So there's a story about Frankenstein Apparently did very well for Netflix Which doesn't surprise me
Starting point is 00:43:39 Yes, yeah, me too I thought it was gonna Did you love it? I loved it I loved it Yeah and it's honestly gotten way better From what I've seen reception on Netflix And when it's initial theater release
Starting point is 00:43:55 Yeah Yeah so I thought it was really it was awesome good your your your internet just did such a strange thing um like it did like it chopped it chopped it chopped it but then it did like a record scratch at the end it was like because then it was like oh it was awesome i was okay dj stees all right let's talk about this story and how it's actually doing here frankenstein just solid numbers on netflix is that what frankestine looks like yeah okay interesting um hard to make him ugly yeah frankenstein drew in solid numbers for its launch on net because i tell you the stupid thing i did with him no i guess i'll say you it's it's
Starting point is 00:44:47 it's a lordy yeah yeah yeah so there's two two stupid things that i've been doing lately both to where i will tell you that i agree with anybody who says that it's stupid uh gembered le torres frankestine drew in solid numbers for its launch on netflix last friday the 120 million dollar budget film reportedly pulled in 29 million views in this first three days, topping the chart for the week ending November 9th, makes it the fifth highest debuting film on Netflix this year behind Back in Action and Happy Gilmore 2, which are neck and neck for the top spot at 46.8 million
Starting point is 00:45:16 and 46.7 million, respectively. He was also behind the old guard too, and the Tom Hardy led havoc. That said, it's far above the 13.8 debut of the Deltore's Oscar-winning Pinocchio. Deltoros said in a statement to deadline, seeing people embracing France, in the way that I have for over 50 years is meaningful. I've seen an outpouring of love with many sharing with me about their repeat viewing,
Starting point is 00:45:39 both in these 600 sold-out screenings and now globally on Netflix. The film that I've carried with me my entire life, and to see it resonate so deeply with audiences around the world is really a full-circle moment. It had a better debut than the other high-profile Netflix films this year, including Catherine Bigelow's House of Dynamite, which debuted the other week to 22.1. Rousseau's Cost the Electric State at 25.2, and Thursday's Murder Club at 24.7.
Starting point is 00:46:03 Netflix has two more big debuts coming with Jay Kelly on December 5th and wake up Dead Man and Knives Out Mystery on December 12th. Both films will play in cinema for several weeks before their Netflix debuts. I'll tell you my two stupid things first
Starting point is 00:46:19 and then we'll get into this story. So the Jacob of a Lurdy thing, I was, there's some movie that he's in, I can't remember the name of it, with Will Poulter and Daisy Gavre Jones that's been on the app. And it was, my wife and I started watching it. And it was like, okay, this is a period piece.
Starting point is 00:46:34 And then it just goes in this whole weird direction overall. It just doesn't, it's just not a good movie. And I'm like, who is this guy? Everyone's talking about this Jacob Lordy guy. I'm like, he's doing another, they're doing another thing where there's making a star and this is your next star. I'm like, I'm not on board with this guy. And I said that to Roxy. She goes, she goes, you didn't like saltburn?
Starting point is 00:46:54 That's the guy in Saltburn? I'm just kidding. I like that guy. So. So that was the first dumb thing that I did because I realized, oh yeah, I actually do think he's the good. Oh my God. He's really good. He is.
Starting point is 00:47:07 I honestly, I hated him because of his character and euphoria, which is unfair. That means just how good of an actor he is. But I just when that's the first introduction, you're like, is that, is he, can he do that? Because that's kind of how he is. Or is he one of those, you know, how villains are notoriously like the nicest people in real life. Is it like that? And it was like, I hear he's like so nice. I've seen him in other stuff and it's like he's amazing. It was so, it was so dumb because I was like, yeah, oh yeah, he's great. I can totally see what he's going to be a story. I'd probably see the same thing after Frankenstein.
Starting point is 00:47:43 The other thing was the thing that I said yesterday that I, again, everybody was talking about pluribus, right? The show, you know, are you frozen? You're frozen. Yeah. Oh, not anymore. Okay. So pluribus, which is, um, which is, um, the new Vince Gilligan show, which did you love Breaking Bad? I never watched it. Okay. So I love it.
Starting point is 00:48:08 It's one of my favorite shows of all time. I didn't see Better Call Saul, but I love Vince Gilgan. I think he's a genius. So his new show is coming out and everybody's raving about it and talking about it and posting about it and all these things. And so Rox is like, have you seen it? I go, no, I don't think I'm going to watch it.
Starting point is 00:48:24 And she goes, well, why? You love Breaking Bad. You love Vince Gillian. I go, yeah, but it's a stupid reason why. And so I go, because I saw people that were, that everyone was liking it. And for some reason, I was like, you know what? I don't want to watch it. Well, Christian.
Starting point is 00:48:37 It's so stupid. It's so stupid that people were liking it. I was like, nah, all right. I'm going to be the, you do this. You do this. You did this with Shogun. I did. That's true.
Starting point is 00:48:50 You're right. You know, Roxy said I don't normally do that, but you're right. And then it took me and then it took me forever to watch it. It was one of my favorite shows of all time. Right. Yeah. Yeah, you would have missed me on my boat. Yes, I would have missed me on my boat.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Yeah, you're Cosmo. Yeah. No, Christian, it's so, yeah, this is stupid that you do this. Oh, yeah, 100%. You're going to love it. We'll see. Have you watched it? Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:49:16 I got my whole family on it. It's like any time I can give my family like a solid wreck of what I know they'll like. I feel like, honestly, like this is the purpose of me being in this industry. It's so good. it's just like what the hell is happening it's true someone said in the comments it was a hipster move 100 totally totally new york has changed you but i was doing that before i moved to new york that's true that's true yeah so i was like you know it's it's so dumb and i looked at the other and i was going through my app and i was looking for the critics choice award stuff and i'm going to watch
Starting point is 00:49:48 something and i was like you know what and i look at app and i go yeah i'm sticking to it's so stupid it really is Um, you should watch it with Sadie. I think she'll like it too. Maybe we'll see. Maybe in like two years from now when everybody's watched it. Oh my God. That's just that's what I do a show gun. I think I watched a year later after everybody else. Yeah. Talking about it. I'm like, I'm not going to do it. Nope. I'm good. So it makes a lot of sense. So I think Frankenstein though will be, even though I hear Frankenstein is pretty good. I'll probably watch it because del Toro is very similar what we were just talking about with Travis Knight. Right. It's like yes. Yes. My man just loves to make movies. Right. Right. he just loves to make movies and and by the way i've had the pleasure of meeting him a handful of
Starting point is 00:50:32 times and um what what a what a just big teddy bear of a human being he's just he's totally he's a wonderful person and i root for him on all this so i'm glad that it's doing well yeah yeah one thing's for sure on a del torre movie it's going to look amazing yeah so you have that going for you yeah and then the rest is up to you but at least you know it's going to be a vibe you know what i just thought of if the runtime let me see what the runtime is uh run time it's like 2 30 oh see that pretty long that it doesn't bum me out it doesn't bum me out that's long it bums me out because i was going to do that maybe with sam tomorrow right and you need two hours yeah of i think it's 2 30 let's see 229 yeah yeah yeah it's too long yeah yeah it takes it's time yeah
Starting point is 00:51:28 Um, somebody, someone said this is also like squid game. Squid game. The first squid game is, I think that's true. I think I think the first squid game was another reason I didn't watch this because I was tired of, of hearing about it from people. Is that true? I feel like you were one of the ones who was on it first. No.
Starting point is 00:51:47 No. No. I still have only, I still have only seen the first five episodes of season one. I can't do any. I honestly feel bad for the American version. And I, I actually like the setup that they have going on. But I think I'm tapped. It's so messed up.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Oh, the show itself? Yes. Yes. It's like the worst human behaviors on display. It's awful. Okay. Yeah. So I watched the first.
Starting point is 00:52:13 I mean, I was doing reactions to it, but because of my stubbornness and not doing it earlier, I didn't watch it. So I started watching the first season, like two or three years later. And then I was like, how come nobody's watching the reactions?
Starting point is 00:52:28 Because that season's been out like for years. No, and they're looking for the new ones. And the new ones didn't even do that well for people, by the way either. But I'll tell you what I did like a lot. And maybe it's just because of there's certain, I'm just kind of on a movie kick right now.
Starting point is 00:52:41 I don't know what it is, but like the long walk. Have you seen that yet? No. You kind of freaked me out from it. Oh, did I? I, I, it's real. Yeah, it was like.
Starting point is 00:52:52 I think emotionally you'll be like, wrecked. I think, Right. Right. Yeah. And I'm, I'm, I mean, I couldn't go wrong with everyone that anyone that I picked to do that reaction with me. I had Ming do it. Like, you would have been incredible Chris, Winston, Tina, Sam. Anybody would have been amazing watching it. Everybody would have had a very emotional reaction to it. Yeah, you know what you should do for me. Well, I'm not going to tell you what to do, but a suggestion is there's a, the movies that I probably won't see. on my own and will sometimes do well on you just never know but sometimes do well on reactions is those like highly emo messed up like I won't watch that on my own like what like give me an example like when I watched it for the world girls or like I watched um was it called heretic oh yeah I don't know like those types of movies like I won't watch it on my own like well that's That's more like, more like scary.
Starting point is 00:53:59 Oh, like, oh, like conjuring and stuff. Yeah. Have you ever seen the first conjuring? I think, I don't know. Oh, no. I'd have to check. You didn't. I don't think I did.
Starting point is 00:54:08 I think we checked the sit in pals and I don't think I did. Wow. I must watch something else. I don't know. But yeah. I'm just like too, like, Koi's recent TikTok was honestly like almost a direct attack on me when he's like, if you just go to. to the movies not to like change who you are but to just like be entertained that's like going to a
Starting point is 00:54:34 museum for the AC couldn't agree could couldn't disagree more I'm with you that that that is that that's I was like he actually says yes Christian go look at it it's like I love the guy but that was for any movie like minions you go to the minions looking for it to change you literally you said if you go to the theater for any movie it's not to change how you think about the world how you see things. Every movie? Yeah, Christian, you should play the TikTok on here. And I was like, this is so funny because I often agree with him.
Starting point is 00:55:07 And I don't like, you know, I'm a girl who loves getting deep sometimes. Sure. But also, I'm an escape artist. Like there's some movies. I'm just going to be like, yeah. Ooh. I'm out. I think he means because he's so like, you know, artiste driven.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Right. I think that he means that like every single thing should inspire you. But not, not everybody's an art. artist. Not everybody looks at things in an artistic way. I mean, I get like I, okay, I just think that's like, yes, of course there's going to be some takeaway, but the takeaway could be that was really fun. And is that, like, does that make me like an idiot? I'm trying to find my phone. Oh, oh, I was like, I'm my phone. Because if I can find my phone, like, if I could find my phone, then you want me to call it can yeah if you can just put it put it into the microphone
Starting point is 00:56:03 I want to hear that exact quote before I oh oh you want me to play it okay okay yeah I want to play play that play that quote because I can't believe that that's true that doesn't make any sense how for every movie no he didn't discriminate like he it was a very broad statement I hope he didn't delete it because I know he got like thrashed in it um okay you probably No, I didn't. I didn't. I should text him so I'm not just talking to behind his back. No, no, no. And again, I don't even know what he said. So I have no idea. Okay, okay. I think this is it. I think this is it. Okay. If your goal is to go to a movie to just be entertained, to leave with no new thoughts or ideas as you walk out to be the exact same as the way you went in.
Starting point is 00:56:53 That's like going to a museum for the air conditioning. I don't get it. If you're going to. Yeah, I don't agree with that. I don't agree with that at all. I think that, I think that, you know, new thoughts as far, maybe not to change your life. I don't think that's what he said. But, you know, if it's like new thoughts and new ideas and, again,
Starting point is 00:57:12 I think he's speaking on the artistic side of things. And which I agree with them. If you're an artist and you're going in to watch movies and you want to go in there feeling inspired and that's the goal for today is to feel inspired, then you should be thinking that way when you go in. But there are times just like, you know what? Like I said,
Starting point is 00:57:32 I just want to sit back, relax and just be lost in another world or just laugh my ass off, whatever, too, and not even think about anything else. I don't want to be inspired today. I just want to go into that. Also,
Starting point is 00:57:44 you have to leave room for there's movies like I sat down for K-pop demon hunters to just be like, let's have a fun time. And then I did leave with a lot of afterthought and depth and, and, you know, deep reflection. but it's like I think that's kind of more on the movie sometimes than the viewer sometimes it's like you just go down it's minions right and you just like banana cool yeah yeah they're so like mindless I mean like when when not another teen movie was in the theater I don't anybody was going there to go there for to change their life they're going right like American pie came out you're like oh I should get a cherry pie and have some sex with this thing right I mean and look the counter to that could be well no but you could also go and say like you know coming to age and you could start thinking about, oh, that was me and my friends and stuff.
Starting point is 00:58:29 So, but maybe that's what he does. I mean, that's not what everybody else says, because I can see that. I can understand. I felt that way too. Oh, shoot, that reminds me times I was with my friends and what can I do and how could I be a better friend and that. Sure. But every single time, I don't do that every single time.
Starting point is 00:58:44 So I don't know, but maybe he does. Right. Yeah. Either way, interesting take to say the least. He definitely does. Yeah. Yeah, I love him. Love them.
Starting point is 00:58:56 All right. So I don't know how much of that was even anything to do with Frankenstein, anything we just talked about. But I will say that I'm excited to see it. I'm pumped to see it. I'm glad that it's doing well. Del Toro is the man. And I'm excited for everybody else to give me their thoughts on it. Now, like I said, in the clip out, the majority, when you clicked on this, when you clicked on this clip, you said, well, they're going to talk about Frankenstein for that.
Starting point is 00:59:25 long? Nope. All right, moving forward. Let's see. You know what? Let's just get to the question, Steph. We'll get to the questions now, too. We missed a couple of other stories that we can cover maybe tomorrow. But before I do, Cash App is another one that everybody's been using now. I've got to keep getting messages that people who love Cash App.
Starting point is 00:59:46 So hopefully, if you haven't, you'll be one of those people that messaged me and tells me you love Cash App. I always love talking you guys about Cash App and you've been smart. You guys have been signed. Hey, what are you doing? I always love talking you guys about Cash App and you've been smart. You guys have been signing up. Starting point is 01:00:05 You just feel, oh, man, it happened to me one time. And I remember just going and I actually left my house to head to a convenience store because they asked me to when I realized halfway through, oh, what am I doing? And I fell for it. So the good news about Cash App is when you get the car, not only do you get an access to a ton of perks and benefits like early access to nationwide concert pre-sales or discounts on popular brands, but you have an extra security with the power

Starting point is 01:01:11 cash app is a financial services platform not a bank banking services provided by cash app's bank partners prepaid debit cards issued by Sutton bank member fdic discounts and promotions provided by cash app a block ink brand visit cash dot app slash legal slash podcast for full disclosure cash app excited for more people to discover cash app i mean i'm giving you some bangers here today so i'm hoping hoping you guys have been taking advantage of all right step the time is now we are ready it is 23 is what we're looking at right now 23 so okay can we get to right to right now is what you need to get to tie is 76. So you got a bit of a fight.
Starting point is 01:01:58 You've been in these fights before. I think you got a shot. So let's see if you can do it. All right. The Roxy and Mike told me that last month was the first month that Roxy said she didn't invoice for a bonus. I was like, oh, wow. So Roxy's looking for some comebacks too.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Wow. So let's see. Right now, Steph Sobrach, can she do it? Can she beat Mike? Roxy. We're going to find out. Okay. So we have the first one from Simon section. It says, I'm not going to bet against James Cameron, but the only way I can see Avatar 3 hitting two billion, especially in our economic climate, is if cinemas offer a shot of bourbon with their beverages on a terrace foot massage. So you don't think it's going to happen at all.
Starting point is 01:02:43 Huh. All. Interesting. I think there's a shot. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. too. I mean, I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't quite hit it, but I do think that they will. Yeah, I think that they absolutely have a shot to do it, but he's not wrong with the
Starting point is 01:03:05 climate and in the fact that okay, do people want to rush out, go see a movie right now around the holiday season. My counter to myself is that's when it came out last time. So, I think around that time, you know, what are we doing right now? Or take a break
Starting point is 01:03:21 with a family let's go see a movie that's what you and your family are doing right yeah yeah right so i it's got a shot now i let me say i don't think it's going to hit too big i think it could i think it's going to do 1.6 1.6 1.6 1.7 is what i think what do you think over okay um i think it's gonna hit too okay yeah all right um matt crugman has been a member six months. Thank you, Matt. Hey, Christian, I always wanted a hat or a hoodie with your show's logo on it. You think there could be a Kickstarter tier to offer some of that stuff? Very, very much so, Matt.
Starting point is 01:04:02 It's a great idea. I'm actually screenshotting it, but I think so. Oh, Steph, I don't even know if I told you the news. I think that I did. I don't know, I'm gonna, I mean, I'll, I'll text you. But Matt, yeah, I think that, so some merch is definitely going to be part of it for sure. Yeah, I think that we'll probably do a cast a logo for not only this show,
Starting point is 01:04:37 we'll do a logo for the actual show when it comes out. So yeah, I'm pretty excited in general. Yeah, merch is always a win. Yeah, merch is going to be a big win. So, okay, so let's see now. Next one. That's insane. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:01 So I just told stuff, basically what I just told stuff is I'm not allowed to say it yet. But as I was telling you guys that we have a team right now, and we have the director of a producer, and we do have someone else on board that we're very excited about. and we're going to be doing a, we're going to be doing a big stream with all of them. And Steph, just that person that I told you about, imagine if you were in this business in any capacity
Starting point is 01:05:34 and you got an opportunity to speak to that person because of the tier that you joined on the Kickstarter. Oh, it's incredible. Yeah, there's like so many questions to be asked. Right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:46 Oh my gosh. Like when that, I was like, that's kind of a game changer. For sure. So we're pretty We're excited about that. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:54 Bobby Jackson, Fallout season two and Monarch Legacy of Monster Season 2 trailers both look great. Can't wait for them to return. I never got a chance to see either one of those shows.
Starting point is 01:06:04 I watched the first like three episodes of Fallout. Oh my God. Okay. You did this again with Fallout. I don't know. No, no. It wasn't one of those things though. It was just like I started watching.
Starting point is 01:06:14 That was more one. I was watching it was Sadie. And she bailed on it. And then it's like, the next thing let's find something else to watch and if i don't watch and stuff here are the movies when do i watch it okay uh it i loved i was not expecting to love fall out so yeah that really i loved fall out um and i remember thinking that it came out the same season i think is last of a season one and i went back and forth in my head of which one i liked better honestly
Starting point is 01:06:44 but i never got to see like a monarch but i i hear good things it's an apple Apple show, right? Yeah, yeah, that one's another one I've seen. I saw a couple episodes of it. You know what it is? I wonder if they, were they both was fallout, um, every week or was it all a dump? I think it was weekly because. And I have no excuse. And I have no excuse. Maybe it was. I don't remember, but it's prime, which I think does weekly unless they've changed. I hope that they stick with week. Then I, then that's on me. John Darius, happy Thursday, y'all. Sorry for the rant. Gun making a Jimmy show out of all the characters at his disposal is baffling. It feels like a wasted opportunity.
Starting point is 01:07:27 Maybe a possible new reboot is not a bad idea. Well, you got to wait, John. Right? Because the thing is, you don't really know what the show is about yet. This is what I said the other day. If you're correct, and that's what the show is, and I agree that that would be disappointing. If it was just the Jimmy show and you don't really get any depth into the world of D.C. at all?
Starting point is 01:07:47 That would be disappointing. However, if they use Jimmy as a way to really expand to let you know more about it to use that as a playground, to say, hey, well, we introduced so-and-so in that show. Thinking about that, spending that off into a movie or that, if they use that as a platform, I think it could be a good idea, but I agree with you in your initial thoughts. What do you think about this news, Steph? I actually didn't see this. Okay.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Jimmy Olson's going to get a show that looks like. there's rumored for a while, but now it looks like it's going to happen. I'd be very curious to see what it is. I really love that character. But I do obviously view him more as a side character. So I'm curious to see. But I would assume it's what you were saying in the latter, where it's more of a tool to expand the universe,
Starting point is 01:08:41 the shared universe, see different characters, you know, have opportunities to explore. lore in ways that, you know, like a central character like Superman might not be, you might not want him to interact with every other character. Yeah, I'm just so curious to see how they're going to make that work. John D.C. must earn the trust of the audience before weird ideas like Olson, MCU has done that. It's different. Younger kids deserve a Justice League team to look up to. I do think, and I said this the other day, John, I think that it may, even if even if they do what I just said and they make it like, okay, we're setting up this world. I think it's a mistake to just
Starting point is 01:09:16 assume that you're cooking right now. You're not. Like you got to you've got to like hit with some bangers. Now you don't want to do what DC did previously. Oh, we're so nervous there's Superman. Let's not even give the new Batman a new movie. Let's just put them together in a movie. Let's just do that. You can't rush it, but it doesn't mean you can't build it. Do you think Steph the doing a Jimmy Olson thing first over like Wonder Woman or an Amazon show or, you know, Batman or hell, Aquaman or Flash is a is is a bad idea. I don't think necessarily because there,
Starting point is 01:09:54 as we know, they've been, he's been very clear of like he's still kind of searching for his Wonder Woman. Right. And I do think with the Batman is still, he probably wants to have time between Robert Pattinson's Batman in when the introduction or else it might get confusing. And so that leaves kind of the space of your other characters,
Starting point is 01:10:15 which maybe you need like a vehicle for. introduction for some of the other Justice League characters. Yeah. And we're still getting the Clayface and a few other, you know what I mean? Right, but that's, but it's still even Clayface though, that's not like,
Starting point is 01:10:33 that's a good side character, but it's essentially set in the Batman role and we still don't have a Batman yet. Right. So without those already being established, is that a mistake? Well, time will tell. Ralph. Seven is two hours. You can watch that with Sam. Maybe. You know what? I'd love that. If people could actually suggest some movies that are two hours and under that. Seven is insane. Yeah. That's what she's, I know she hasn't seen it. I don't know what kind of mood I want to put her in going into the weekend. That movie's messed up. Yeah, because she's coming in tomorrow 4.30. So that's a, that's one. Yeah, it's a darker one. Yeah, it's a darker one. So I want to see some people give some examples of what they would want to see.
Starting point is 01:11:24 Steph, when Master's Universe does come out, you and I should watch the old 80s movie. Okay. Yeah. Go, pal. I'm excited for Masters Universe. There you go. Can't be worse than the 87 movie. But it'll be nice if it's good.
Starting point is 01:11:37 Agreed. If you use the cartoon music, probably can't miss for me. They have to use the music. But I think they'll probably use it and do it inside of like a score. I think that even in the trailer they have it a little bit too. I think they're going to use it. Mike Joyce, hopefully Avatar runtime means lots of Paciano. Who's, who's that again?
Starting point is 01:11:55 Yeah, I don't know. You look. I'll tell you in a second. I just really don't, I want, you know, Zoe's Aldana's, my, Natiri, she's my favorite character. So I hope that we, I know that we're kind of like sideline. Oh, yeah, the whales are awesome. Sidelining the adults and focusing on the children,
Starting point is 01:12:15 but I hope that we still get their central. stories with them. Neeks Kett, 2890. Hey, hey, Christian. Can't help thinking about Sean Penn from one battle when you say, I love him in the butcher box ad and Steph F. Spider. Boo that, man. That's hilarious.
Starting point is 01:12:31 I love him. Did you see one? You saw one battle, right? Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, that's hilarious when he says that. And then Spider will get booed by Steph for sure. And man, oh, man, butcher box.
Starting point is 01:12:45 Yummy, yummy, yummy. But yes, I agree. Sean Penn is going to, is that. I'm also going to win. You know, I love, you know, the other things to your stuff, I realize it about myself. I do, and it's, I don't know if it's comedian me or whatever, why I did, but like sometimes, sometimes I do that to do that, right? Like, so Bonnie, Bonnie was, uh, sending me a DM the other day on Instagram,
Starting point is 01:13:06 and she's like, did you see one battle after another? I go, yep. And she goes, what did you think? I go, I got a full on reaction channel and review channel, fool, check it out, exclamation She wrote. And she wrote, no, no, that's what? I don't know. I wrote yupp. And she wrote, I hate yup. Why, when people say yup, I hate y'up, I go, check it out.
Starting point is 01:13:27 Go check out the reactions. She's like, ah, you're going to watch a five-minute review. I go, lucky for you. The out of the theater reaction's like a minute and 30. Does he don't get this shit for free? I don't care if you're my friend. That's right. Meanwhile, the reaction on the channel is free. Okay, go, pal. Is your Master of the Universe treatment locked up?
Starting point is 01:13:47 legally. No, it's not. Riley had it on his website. I just don't think that the website is around anymore. But I don't, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't even know he runs his Patreon. I think he used to, I think he used to, it used to be a tear on his Patreon.
Starting point is 01:14:04 I don't even think he does that. I'd love to see it. Maybe on Patreon. Well, it's, I have to, you know, maybe I'll ask Riley. Maybe, maybe so. Maybe so. Michael Diagore. Enjoy the interview. yesterday support for step thank you michael. Thank you Michael.
Starting point is 01:14:21 Interviews great. It's such a great conversation with that guy who's awesome. 32 Steph. Okay. It's picking up. You just run a little over 40 left to tie. 45 I think. Go pal. I think most of most are all the 80s he man cartoon is up on their YouTube channel so you can see it and it's not even piracy. Is that true? And someone send me that link? That that actually yeah, because those, I love those episodes old school.
Starting point is 01:14:46 I mean, they're so, they're so, they're so corn. That was one of the things I used to run into when I was trying to tell people at Silver. Because I remember my friend Naveed's like, it's a guy with a purple, there's a purple tiger and there's a guy with a green tiger. No, the Purple Panther and a guy with a green tiger. I'm like, who's going to care about that? I was like, if you do it the right way, you can fantasy, of course you can, you can do it.
Starting point is 01:15:06 Anyway, so I'll check that out and say, Mike Joyce. Will Steph be the stylist for your pilot? Stylus, no, but I'm trying to get her a freaking roll right now. Right. There's a role. she's absolutely the stylist yeah she's absolutely perfect for i'd be perfect you'd be thrilled if they'll have me yeah uh julius wyatt have you seen frankincide 1.9 billion for avatar 1.9 is a solid number this is so stupid i was sitting on my phone stuff um hold on
Starting point is 01:15:37 let's see on air can call you back all right let's do that okay so i've seen Oh, wait, what were you saying? What were you going to say? Frankison? No, I was going to say a two-hour movie. Has she seen what? Fury Road. Is that two hours?
Starting point is 01:16:02 Yeah. Okay. No, I don't think she has. I'm trying to find one that she would like and one that would pull. Furious, I didn't do good in the theater. I don't know if it would do good or the reaction. Fury Road? Didn't do good in the theater?
Starting point is 01:16:18 Not Fury. Is that what you said? Did you say Fury Road? Did you say Fury? Yeah. Fury Road. Oh, it's a good one too. Fear Road did do good.
Starting point is 01:16:25 I don't know. Shoot, I'm going to keep looking. Eclipse, there's no doubt in my mind, Avatar will do well as the second movie, but let's be real. Does it need to? Didn't the profit of the second movie pay for this in the fourth movie? Kind of, but I mean that that's, it's,
Starting point is 01:16:39 well, here's the difference though, right? The money is not going to the Avatar business. It's going to the Disney business. So Disney probably spent a lot of that money on other stuff and lost a shit ton of money on other movies too. So it probably kind of leveled itself out in all the other stuff that they do. So they're still going to want it to do well. But as far as making a profit for the overall franchise,
Starting point is 01:17:04 I think the answer is probably yes. Absolutely. At 38 already, Steph. Amazing. Building up. Building back up. Can Steph hit and win? We shall see.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Arins Nijit. There's no way I said that right. I'm sorry. Avatar reaction with Sam. Sam has seen them, actually. Sam has seen one to my wife has not. I'm going to be, well, she watched the few,
Starting point is 01:17:28 she doesn't remember the first one, but she has definitely not seen all the second ones. I'll be watching it with Sadie. Everybody else has, everybody else has seen him. She's excited about it, too. Nathan Drake. Christian, you probably said this already,
Starting point is 01:17:43 but you're going to be the main character of the show or just writing and hiring on actress. No, it's going to be myself and, and my writing partner, Martini, who are the two, and then we're trying to build and supporting like kind of well-known people around us. So that way it's obviously easier to sell it when you are done with it
Starting point is 01:18:02 and going to the networks to go, hey, yeah, you might not know these two, but look at who you got for that role. And look who you got there. Look who you got there. So that's kind of the idea. But stuff, you read it,
Starting point is 01:18:13 you think that I could pull off the main character? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, and I think that's more sellable like that. I always prefer a show like this when the writer is the star of it, personally. Yeah, I mean, I appreciate that. I think that it's going to, I mean, but Roxy saw it too. She said, no, I could, I really, it's written for you. I mean, it is.
Starting point is 01:18:37 Right. It's like it's right. It's written for me with my voice. So. Right. Yeah. Michael D. I'm hyped for all the energy around the TV show Kickstarter.
Starting point is 01:18:45 Have you thought about a higher level tier for producer credits and points? not sure it gets too complicated if when it picks it up. I know that it's being tossed around and having conversations. There's people involved in the in the show on that side of it. That's that, that thank God will handle that part of it, right? Because that's where it goes into kind of a next level thing, where they want to be able to know what they can offer,
Starting point is 01:19:08 what they can do. I think the answer could be maybe to that. I'm not sure. I think I literally remember the director giving that as a suggestion like a major tier because it's almost like, so if you're producing this on you're getting independent financing and you have like a really, let's say, a tier that you look at and there's no whirl, right?
Starting point is 01:19:29 That's what? What is that? Why is that even there? But then that one person who goes, you know what, if I was an independent producer and I was financing a project and I was going to say, you know what, I'm going to put X amount of money into this project, they would get producer credits.
Starting point is 01:19:44 That's what they do. There are some just financial producers. So it's not outside the realm of possibility. You know, like if someone was like, hey, I want to give you X amount for this thing, but I want a producer credit on, but I'll give you X amount. That's a conversation. You know what I mean? That's a, that's part, that's part of producing.
Starting point is 01:20:01 That's part of being a financial producer in general. It happens all the time. RQMD, S&D, support for Steph and Honeybeer. Hell yeah, honey beer. Thank you. Yeah, she's been a fat dog lately. She keeps stealing her going in. into her brother's house and eating his food after I've fed her.
Starting point is 01:20:22 You feed her too much? Well, I don't. I keep her on a strict diet of fabulous. But she finds some shit. She finds it. It's like you can't, this is what we talk about like, you have to be careful when you're naming your children or your pets.
Starting point is 01:20:36 Yeah. Because they kind of like prophesizes. Like she really acts like a bear. Yeah. I have a dude. I have the dude. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:44 Yeah. You got to make him a custom rope. he was on his he's he sleeps and he's been sleeping this so we bought mazie an elmo chair like a long time when she was like three and it's this little red elmo chair he's been sleeping on it since the day we got him iconic he goes up on the chair and then he just puts his hands all the back and just like laid out with his leg stretched oh i love when he's laying on the couch watching on their back yeah and he's just and he's the dude so yeah the guy a white russian yeah um Dancing Dog 60. I hate to be that guy, but Frankenstein is the doctor, not the monster. I know,
Starting point is 01:21:22 but everybody calls them. You know what we meant. Second is happy death day, three, something you two are excited about. I enjoy the series. Something we're excited about. I mean,
Starting point is 01:21:32 I mean, Avatar we talked about, my pilot, those are the two things on Christmas. We spend the time with my family. That's some exciting.
Starting point is 01:21:40 Oh, my trip to L.A. To see some of my friends. That's going to be fun. That's so exciting. What are you in L.A.? End of December. until the beginning of January. I'll see. I haven't, I haven't sent the email. I haven't, I haven't
Starting point is 01:21:52 said nobody, nobody, nobody has, has, I haven't sent out any emails, right? Yeah, okay. Um, so yeah, so I mean, we're probably going to do like, I thought maybe do like a meetup somewhere. Totally that, that yes, yes, yes. Yeah. Something. Um, so yeah, what are you excited about? Um, I'm sorry it's not happy death day. I, I think I saw the first one actually and I was like this is a fun little horror movie. What am I excited about? I honestly, minus the history of the holiday, I love Thanksgiving. Like the way my family puts down in the kitchen and I just love seeing my family.
Starting point is 01:22:36 It just, I love the month of November. There's something that just does it for me. Like the food is the best by far. So I'm really excited for that. Don't spill any wine on the table. turkey this year. Oh my God. I'll never forget that. No, no. Neither about him. Grittler. My family is actually like super not big drinking family. Like, so it's not really alcohol around the food, luckily for that, because I am a fire hazard in there. But,
Starting point is 01:23:04 and then, yeah, Christmas. Oh, where am I going with this? Wicked for good. Oh, I see it on Saturday stuff. No way. Yeah, I see it this Saturday. I'll be out of the food. Oh, my, I'm so pumped. I'm taking the kids and Sadie to see it. So it's going to be a family event. Oh my God. Yes. That'll be so fun. Everybody's excited. Everybody's excited.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Okay, thank you for that question. That was fun. Shea, Markell. I'll be honest. Long Walk is a great movie, but I'll probably never watch it again. I had so much anxiety. I feel like it was on my first deployment. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 01:23:37 I've seen it twice now. And it's one of those movies that just stays with you after you watch it. So, but it's a great movie. It's one of my favorites of the, year, if not in the top five. Yeah. Yeah. I heard it's really good. It's great. It's just, yeah, it's a lot of, there's a lot of anxiety
Starting point is 01:23:54 for that movie for sure. Do you think any of the main cast is going to get nominated? Do I think they should or do I think they will? Probably will. Will, no. Nominated, yes. I think David Johnson should 100% be nominated for Best Supporting Act. I think Cooper
Starting point is 01:24:14 was great too, but David was just, he was extraordinary. David's going to be the, I think, the biggest actor in no time. Yeah. And I think that what they're going to do right with him, I think he's got a good team. And I think if they're smart, keep him doing roles that he's doing now because he's shining in them. And he's shining him, he's elevating them in a way because he was the star, he was the co-star of Long Walk, and he was a major big part of Alien Romulus. And he's put him in those roles and let him, don't start saying, Well, this is give him a lead role now. Let him be the lead guy because that's, I feel it.
Starting point is 01:24:49 That's what happened to Glenn Powell. Glenn Powell was really thriving in those kind of roles where he was standing out. And then they're like, we'll make him a movie star now. And you're like, take it easy. The guy's good. He's real good. Don't make him. He's not a movie star yet.
Starting point is 01:25:02 And so don't do the same thing with David Johnson. Let him, let him just, he's got the, he's got the goods. He's great. Yeah, also picking the right scripts. Like David Johnson's movies are super different. And that matters. Very. And it's not like, by the way, it's not like Glenn Powell just like woke up in the morning acted.
Starting point is 01:25:25 And then the next day, he was, they were making him a story. He's been, he's been putting in his, his work, his dues. He's been, he's, everybody wants some. He's been, he's been doing movies for a long time. It's just that, and it's not his fault. It's the Hollywood system that does this all of the time. And they don't really learn from it. They try to build out these stars.
Starting point is 01:25:46 oh yeah well they put him in their movie we're gonna put him in ours and boom boom boom and then it's like it's over exposure it's oh look at petro viscal's another one phenomenal phenomenal actor right and then you know what let's put him in every movie well don't do that because you're gonna annoy him you're gonna annoy the audience with him and he was in like four movies this year and a lot of him came around the same time and i love pedro vizcal i don't get annoyed by that in for him but i understand why other people could. Yeah. Yeah, I don't either, but I get it. Dancing Dog 60. Peter Jackson is a bore. How dare you? Oh, Peter Jackson's King Kong is a bore. How dare you? I find the new Kong Godzilla films to be much more entertaining. I don't disagree with that because
Starting point is 01:26:33 there's just they're like that's if you go back to our conversation what Koi was saying, with his with his take. I don't go into Kong and Godzilla trying to change my life. Oh, no, those are straight fun. You hit yourself into hell with a hammer and just watch it and hope no human show up. Right. Peter Jackson's King Kong to me was him actually building out on more. I think the movie's a little too long. I really like the movie a lot.
Starting point is 01:27:00 Is that the one with Nile? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And Andy Circus. I remember loving that movie, but it's been so long when that come out, 2005. Yeah, I haven't seen it since 2005. I was a child.
Starting point is 01:27:13 Holy moly. that's that's so many child child wow um so yeah that's um i i like that movie but i it does it it's it was too long it was peter jackson coming off of lord of the rings and they said i want to make a three-hour king-cong movie hey you're peter jackson you make a 12 hour one we're on board and someone should just said let's make it 215 220 right if you're going to do that but three hours was too long um mr andy fanatic became a member thank you good time to do it have some exclusive stream coming up and some other things. Julius Wyatt.
Starting point is 01:27:47 Well, that answered my question. I liked Frankenstein, but I didn't love it. I thought everything before Alorti showed up while well made was pretty boring. Then he showed up and the movie took off. Do you agree with that or do you think the whole thing was engaging? I thought the whole thing was engaging. Okay. I do want to check it out though.
Starting point is 01:28:01 But, yeah. I mean, Alorty is definitely a standout, but I thought that the whole thing was great. Okay. I'm excited to see it. Dancing Dogs 60. If Zach Snyder directed Avatar would be 10 hours long, why? Because the guy uses so much slow motion would be painful.
Starting point is 01:28:19 I don't understand why he does it as much as he does. It is, it's so, it's so unnecessary. Like I was really rooting for Rebel Moon. And I've told this, this is always my example. I was locked into it in the beginning. Like Sophia Boutella, who I love, is getting into this fight in the beginning. Oh, here comes this badass fight. And then the middle, here she throws a punch.
Starting point is 01:28:41 and it goes, why, what are you doing? Just have a punch him and throw five more kicks and let's see a real good fight. I don't need, I get it. It's a slow motion punch. I'm past, I'm past it. And the whole thing is a slow motion, slow motion, slow motion. And he's a good storyteller. Stay away from, stay away from that.
Starting point is 01:29:00 He loves, visually he loves it though. For me, it wasn't the slow motion. It was what really like did me was I like the first one. and then the second one, the way, when they went around in the table, telling their story of who they were, I was like,
Starting point is 01:29:19 it was like my least favorite exposition ever. Like, I couldn't believe. But I like him. I am rooting for him and I wanted to like those movies so bad. I didn't finish the first one. I'm just saying I just, from what I was watching,
Starting point is 01:29:35 I was into it. Yeah. Yeah. It's like the story's there, but the, execution didn't like fully land for me but it looks good i did watch the first one i didn't watch the second um go pal out drag for me in the beginning but then it picked up after a few episodes they all came out together but i feel like i have lost interest week to week okay so maybe that's
Starting point is 01:29:58 but that's the thing for me i the dump though you it's unless it's like stranger things or something else it'd be very hard for me to get involved in that it's i don't love that at all yeah i don't love either it's a little overwhelming and it's like some and it's a tricky play because i saw there's a show okay so some shows it's like pleuribus right it's like i'm waiting i'm waiting for tonight for the next episode to come out and i'm me too i'm yeah i know you are but then there was a show murder bot yeah right right alexander stars guard and i saw the first they dropped two or three episodes and i like i like this show it's like really cute and fun and weird And then it was weekly and I forgot.
Starting point is 01:30:43 Oh. And then I didn't finish the season. Right. It didn't like. It didn't. Right. You have to kind of know. But I think if I could have binged it, I would have binged it that day.
Starting point is 01:30:53 It's like, it depends on the show. Yep. I agree with that. Chris A. Add a tier to the Kickstarter that will let us send video questions to a live show so we can send more detail questions. Maybe there's something maybe like something in between with like, you know, in the old school radio shows they used to have like. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:10 recorded messages and stuff too maybe this recorded that's cool yeah that we could add to i i like that that i like that simon section step have you seen apocalypse now christian hasn't i you know i actually haven't to see a reaction both of you and doesn't have to be the reed version 49 extra minutes so i see the normal do you have you ever seen it uh-uh that that one's gonna be one that that that's not an easy watch it's a that's gonna be a rough watch for both of us for both of us it's like a full I mean, it's about Vietnam and it's like, you know, it's like they go into Kukukuchoo-Chuland. And Martin, Martin Sheen had, you know, went to the hospital and other things to. He was, he was, it was, it was crazy.
Starting point is 01:31:50 Oh, gosh. Okay. Dancing dog, 60. Steph for the win. Come on, you guys. Yeah, you. You're at 49 with 30 minutes left. You're fighting back here.
Starting point is 01:31:59 There's a good shot. Steph could win here. Catching up from, catch her from 50 to right now she's at 50. and she's got again, get to 76 to tie. That's 26. That's not, that is not too far away. That is doable for Stee's for sure. Okay. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:32:17 Next one after that. So Dancing Dog 60. Thank you so much for that one. And the next one is from Jared Jay. Have you guys watched the new Gore Vivinsky movie trailer? Good luck. Have fun. Don't Die. Looks insane. Sam Rockwell's legendary.
Starting point is 01:32:30 No. And that's one of those ones. If I'm not reacting to it, I don't really watch trailers anymore. Um, because I like going to the movies or turning on something on TV, knowing nothing about it. And them telling me through storytelling what I'm about to watch. You know what I mean? I agree completely. Um, so there you go.
Starting point is 01:32:52 But I haven't seen anything about it. Is it any good, draw? Well, it sounds like you looks like you're having fun with it. Shea, Sicario is two hours and one minute. My boat is another good one too. It's great. shit. Sicario is a good one to try to do.
Starting point is 01:33:07 Maybe we do Sicario. So good. The seven, seven, I definitely wanted her to see. I don't know. Seven's one. You should watch if you're doing two movies.
Starting point is 01:33:17 So you can watch something light after. Yeah, it's true. It's true. All right. I got to think about it. Shea, Mile 22 with Mark Wahlberg is one hour,
Starting point is 01:33:25 35 minutes. Who's going to watch that? I'm saying if you had how my reaction was. Yeah. Chris A. Also love the reaction today. Predictions for the future Predator, Avengers type movie with all protagonists. Well, Steph and I talked about this, right? So it's a spoiler if you haven't seen Predator, Prey of, Now, Predator Killer of Killers, the animated thing.
Starting point is 01:33:47 So at the very end, they show Arnold, Danny, and Amber Mid Thunder, you know, all like kind of locked up. And Stefan and I were like, well, wouldn't it be cool if, you know, it's years later. because Arnold and Danny Glover are the same age. And then you have Amber Midthunder with them. And like, because if I would have seen this, this is what I pushed back. Roka doesn't think that they need it. I said,
Starting point is 01:34:10 I actually do think they do need it now because they've set up all three of these movies that together. And if you had the three of them working together to get off of this planet, I mean, I'm bored for that. Arnold, Danny Glover, and Amber Midthunder trying to figure out how to get off the predator planet. That'd be great.
Starting point is 01:34:28 Yeah, it'd be cool. Yeah. Joshua Gonzalez, did you see the Odyssey promo stuff? No, I have. That's another one that I will, you know, that trailer is probably what I'm going to watch because I feel like people will watch that trailer reaction, so I will. But that's that I don't know where. That this year is going to be, or 2026 is going to be my hardest, most anticipated list. Oh, yeah. I don't know. It's a huge year. Yeah, like I'm trying, again, I brought this up yesterday. stuff, but like out of these movies, what would you put as you're like number one? Because there's a ton of them that come out next year. And out of all the movies that are coming out next year,
Starting point is 01:35:12 what would be your most anticipated? Right. So let's see. So in starting in January, I'm only going to read the ones that I think have an opportunity, right? Twenty-eight years later, the new one, Scream is Scream 7. Um, there's an untitled Matt Stone, Trey Parker musical, the Super Mario Brothers sequel, um, Michael Jackson movie, Devil Wears Prada 2, Mortal Kombat 2, Mandalorian and Grogu. Masters of the universe, scary movie six, Toy Story 5, Supergirl, Minions 3, Moana, Live Action, the Odyssey, Spider-Man, brand new day, um, Coyote versus, Acme, Clayface, Practical Magic 2, Resident Evil,
Starting point is 01:36:03 The Social Reckoning, Legend of Ang, The Last Avatar, Street Fighter, Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat, Hunger Games, new Focker movie, Narnia, Jumangi 3, Avengers Doomsday. I mean, that's a lot of big, that's not even, that's not even counting the smaller kind of Oscar movies that usually pop up into the list as well, too. Yeah, that's a ton. What's your number one at all of those?
Starting point is 01:36:29 most anticipated. Yeah. Um, it's probably between Doomsday and Odyssey. Yeah. And wait a minute. Isn't Dune three next year two? Oh,
Starting point is 01:36:40 Dune and Dune Messiah. Yes, Dune Messiah is the same weekend as, as Dune's day. It's 2026. Yeah. And Dune, Dune is another one.
Starting point is 01:36:48 So now you have Dune to, so now yeah. Right. It's at a top. That's a, that's a huge year. Yeah, it's massive.
Starting point is 01:36:58 I would probably, what did you say number one? Would you now say Dune? It's hard because anticipated it's like the Dune movies are amazing. So I'm super like excited for them. But I want to see what the Odyssey looks like. Yeah. I want to see what dooms, what they do with Doomsday. I'm very curious, but probably the Odyssey first.
Starting point is 01:37:22 The way I look at is if, you know, that age old question of like, yeah, they say you can only watch one of these movies and you can't watch the other ones. Which one do you choose? I choose the Odyssey. I choose the Odyssey. And what's crazy is I think. And then Dune 3. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:42 Dune 3 and then maybe Dune's Day. And that could change. I don't know. But like I will tell you now, which is crazy that it's not too crazy, but still crazy. I have Masters of Universe over Mandalorian and Grogu. 100% for me not for you but like but for me like if they're like you can only watch it's because i want to see how they're going to bring that to life and would this is just another episode another season of the television show so it's like i've seen this season super girl over
Starting point is 01:38:11 mandolary and grogo you want to hear something crazy i might too and i didn't even like the intro of um of her in that movie but but the novel the graphic novel's gotten so much love and praise that i'm so right right about it so i'm way more interesting in seeing how that's going to be like, I'd be surprised at that movie even Mandelian Grove would even top, it hits my top 10. I'd be shocked. It might, but we'll see.
Starting point is 01:38:39 All right, Dancing Dog 60. Did Naked Gun underperform? If so, why? I don't think it, I think they were hoping that it did. I don't think it bombed. But I don't, I think everybody was rooting for that kind of movie to be a massive hit to get those kind of
Starting point is 01:38:57 movies back and i don't think it did that unfortunately um it made a hundred and two million worldwide what was the budget i'm gonna say 2025 so many actors in it it's only 42 minute oh wait no 2025 let's do that's not that that's the original one yeah oh it's not publicly available yet so i don't know but they said the budget is supposedly 42 million okay so But it made 100. So it probably didn't, you know, didn't do gangbusters. But I don't think it did accomplish what he wanted, I hoped it would accomplish.
Starting point is 01:39:37 Aidan Cossack, that Harry Potter shirt is fire, just the season. It is pretty great. How long have you had that shirt? Thank you. So long. Yeah. 10 years. Wow.
Starting point is 01:39:46 That's pretty good. Or more maybe. Yes, it is the season. It is. As soon as October hit, it was the season. But I find them to be more Christmasy movies, but I still watch them in October this year too. It's awesome. Mr. and D Fanati, I know this will be random, but I'd love to see Matt react to Never Back Down and critique the MMA in it. Steph U Rock and Armageddon reaction legend. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:40:06 it's the same thing with Hib's channel though, too, man, is that he's got to pick the right one for him to watch. I think what he's going to do is he's going to watch, he's seen it already, but he's going to watch Smashing Machine the movie and kind of critique it there. Okay. But he's also this, this tomorrow, I mean, tomorrow's going to be a busy day for me because not only do we have Jen in studio right after Jen leaves, Chris Van Bleet is in town also and he's coming in to be on Matt's show.
Starting point is 01:40:33 So it's going to be Chris Van Bleed on Matt show and then Jen on my show. And so yeah, so that's going to happen tomorrow. But I think as far as him reacting, I think he's reacting to smash his machine next week, next week. So, but I'd like to see him do that one. Yeah, for sure. Go pal. Can someone react to pop up the volume?
Starting point is 01:40:52 It's the same answer, though. I would look look if I had my way if every reaction that I put up on this channel did 20 to 50,000 views if every one of them did it I would be reviewing the most obscure shit I would have done a rad one I would have done so much different but the problem is you know it's like I pushed my luck with last dragon and it did okay yeah it did I saw that okay and then there's other ones though that just like it's there's nothing more frustrating for putting it like watching the movie being so excited to show someone and then it just doesn't perform. You just don't know how it's going to do so.
Starting point is 01:41:27 I just don't feel like... I think you did the last dragon with its like, what, like 20th anniversary or what was there? Maybe, maybe so. I think it was right in line with that. I think you might be right. Yeah, so that might be... Yeah. But like, but then again, I showed Sam Warrior, right?
Starting point is 01:41:42 And Warrior, there was nothing going on with Warrior, the movie with Tom Hardy and Joel. And there was nothing going on with that at all. And I just wanted to show it because I loved the movie and did 135,000 views. So I don't know. I don't know how it works. I feel like Warrior kind of has a cult falling. But yeah,
Starting point is 01:41:57 I know it's random. It's weird. That's great. This is a quote from my pilot, not the new one, the old one. Rast UK-Rept, and where's my fucking bear?
Starting point is 01:42:07 He was really good in that show. He was really good. Dancing Dog 60, react to deep throat, just kidding. No, stop that. The Blazing guides. Hey, Christian,
Starting point is 01:42:17 and Steph, how do you feel about the original creator, Gary K. Wolf, getting the rights back from Disney for Roger Rabbit. We're getting a live action Jessica Rabbit movie thoughts. That's a live action? Jessica Rap. So wait, but is she, but she's
Starting point is 01:42:30 animated and everybody else is human, right? It'll be like Roger Rabbit. I hope so. I hope so. Yeah. That's the case. But he's the original creator. I don't want to see just a live action Jessica Rabbit movie, like unless Roger Rabbit is bounce around anime.
Starting point is 01:42:46 If she's live action, I don't know. I like the fact that she was animated though. But good. Yeah, I think it's I think it's time for another Roger Rabbit movie for sure. Yeah, I loved Roger Rabbit. Yeah. King of the Wicker people. Hello, crew.
Starting point is 01:43:00 I work at an auction house in the Lord Bible for the 2000s He-Man came across my desk about a year ago. It was super cool to read because I grew up on that version of He-Man. I hope the movie is good. Same. Yeah, I mean, the lore is great. It's really great. And they can do so much with it.
Starting point is 01:43:13 And I wonder if they're going to stick with the lore because I'm confused, right? Because one of the pushbacks that we had gotten when we were working on our thing was that Mattel is very locked into like the lure and what can be changed and what couldn't be changed. Now it seems like they changed that up, that philosophy a little bit because, you know, he's going to Earth and he's doing that. Now, his mother was the one originally from Earth. He meant Prince Adam.
Starting point is 01:43:41 So is that the reason why he was sent? Is because she is from there and she was trying to protect him? Because that could be a cool wrinkle in the story if they do it that way. I don't know. Got to see how they make that work. Shea Markell, free guys, one hour and 55 minutes. Yeah, same thing. Okay, I think you hit, I think you might have,
Starting point is 01:44:01 you think you might have gotten it with this one. World War Z. That's a good one. That's a good one. And it's only an hour of 56 minutes. That might be a good one to do. Okay, that one might be, might be our, our winner so far unless we get some more
Starting point is 01:44:18 some more suggestions here but I like that one Mr. I crap and shit. Steph I noticed the pitch of the ceiling set up your studio in an attic or she shit she shit no yeah it's like an upstairs
Starting point is 01:44:34 it's just the house is built like that yeah yeah and an a frame I think is what they call it like all the ceilings are a frame Christian what's worse to either predator or alien versus Predator Requiem. You know, I haven't seen both of them since I saw them, you know, the first time, whenever that was. I guess because of recency bias, I'd say the predator, because I don't remember
Starting point is 01:44:59 the other one, but it's, it's bad. I don't know. They're both bad. That's, I don't, I can't remember to give who's a winner. Dancing Dog 60. Isn't Johnson doing a movie with Sidney Sweney, Dwayne Johnson? Or is that who he was talking about? I think so, but I don't know. She's got a new movie. Oh, David Johnson? Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah, it's not spelled that way. So I don't know if he is.
Starting point is 01:45:26 He's got a movie. She's got a new movie coming out at the end of the year. I don't know if that's what I'm curious. Simon section. GoPowel requested to do the volume reaction, how about a reaction of Turk 182? Same answer, Simon. It was put Bibor, put B, Bore, it was Dark City before the Matrix and they were the
Starting point is 01:45:46 Dark City is not a bad one, actually. Dark City is a good one. Oh, she didn't see the Matrix. Why don't just do The Matrix? Oh, yeah. How long is the Matrix, the first one? I think it's two hours. But I'm also, I might be holding that out until December.
Starting point is 01:46:00 I might be one of the ones. 216. I got to talk to Luke because I know we've got so many things scheduled for December with Sam that it's going to be the kickstower month we think. So Tree Herder, just watch Ballot of a small player. One hour and 42 on Netflix with Colin Farrell. and haven't seen any trailer. I was very pleasantly surprised.
Starting point is 01:46:19 That's cool. I mean, he usually does that. Has those kind of surprising movies that come out of nowhere because he's so damn good. He's one of my favorite actors, by the way. Who? Colin Farrell. Colin Farrell. Yeah, he's so good.
Starting point is 01:46:32 Okay. Let's see. 58, 59. 59. Steph, you've got a serious shot here. Okay, let's go, guys. Let's walk in. 20 more and you've, and you're in the lead.
Starting point is 01:46:45 20 more in your in the 20 shoot 19 year in the league Nathan Drake Alorty was great in the movie but takes too long to get to his part Victor are so despicable and too much time I spent with him and he fell rush who plays Victor um how am I forgetting his name he's Ho from Star Wars okay Oscar Isaac
Starting point is 01:47:10 Oscar Isaac yeah yeah okay he would hate that that's the one he's remembered in Um, but yeah, uh, I think that's just like Victor being so messed up is so crucial to the point that Guillermo del Toro is trying to really get in there. Yeah. Um, I'm excited to see it. I really am casual scroll. Oh man, true or not during season five, a stranger thing's where David and Miller are on
Starting point is 01:47:36 screens together, that article is going to be back in my mind. Well, apparently it was blown out of proportion. Like I said, Daily Mail is probably going to get, uh, sued. they were doing press with each other recently, sitting next to each other. And I don't think they've addressed it, but I think that that was their way of addressing it. So.
Starting point is 01:47:53 Yeah, they, it seemed fine on, on the red carpet together. So. I mean, he's getting bad press right now anyways, but I don't think it's going to affect the show at all. And well, the second, if that, if that thing was true with her and she would have come out and said,
Starting point is 01:48:11 yeah, there was a problem. I didn't feel comfortable with them. I don't really like doing stuff with him. That would be a problem, but she's not doing that. She's doing the opposite. She's doing press with him. And it seems like I said inside of that thing. We don't know the situation what had happened.
Starting point is 01:48:24 Like, it very well could have been him. Like maybe he had a bad day and she was like, or whatever. She was having a shit week, shit month. And he took it out on his cast and she didn't like it. And she told people. And then he walked in and said, look, you're right. I acted like an asshole.
Starting point is 01:48:38 I'm sorry. What can we do to fix it? Don't worry about it. I talk to Netflix. Everything's good. We're good. I just going to say, and we're good. And they're with no thoughts that it would ever get to the public.
Starting point is 01:48:48 Shit kind of, shit happens like that all the time. And again, this is all me making this up. But I'm just saying it's a very possible scenario. So that's why I said you've got to wait before you know. And for me, the reason that the story was relevant is because if Daily Mail didn't do that and say, well, let's find out everything that happened. And this ran with that. Daily Mail is going to get the asses sued.
Starting point is 01:49:08 Yeah, there's just so many bad articles these days. you just really need multiple sources. Yeah, totally. Okay, let's see. Next one after that. And that's GoPel. June 3 is scheduled for 1226. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 01:49:27 It's scheduled the same day as Doomsday. I can't imagine they're going to stay there. They've got to move. Yeah, but what, to like November, move up? I guess if on them, I would move to, I would take my chances against violent night, too, on December 4th. Okay. Because Jumanji 3 comes out the next week.
Starting point is 01:49:50 And I mean, you know, you're not, you have such a specific audience with Dune. It's more like, it's more like high tier science fiction. You know, it's like, well, elevated, as they call elevated science fiction, the same way it's elevated horror. That's what Dune is. So you're not, it's not like, the last one did good, but it didn't like, wasn't like a, major blockbuster but you're going up against another huge movie the biggest movie maybe the year in doomsday get out of there get out of right well come a shit man come out on christmas next week if you have to um i would get out of there because it's it's it's december 4th is available
Starting point is 01:50:28 or you move to and i think they did this last time well i mean you could move to to november oh no november next year um but you'd be going up against hext and fogger-in-law but that's like again two different movies or Narnia on the 26th stuff yeah November's kind of well what about the 13th there's nothing really scheduled for November 13th right now okay so maybe November 13th they can move to but they they need to get the hell out of the way of Doomsday yeah I'm sure that once doomsday announced that they've already started their exit plan um if it was the only game in town that week that would have been good uh king of the wicker people part one I'm a little that predator hunting grounds lore about Dutch is being decanonized.
Starting point is 01:51:15 It follows him from the first time tracking other predators and Busty's characters. What is predator hunting grounds? What is that? Is that a comic book or something? Yeah, I haven't heard of that. Me either. What is that? Is that a game? New predator? It's a game. Yeah, it's a game. I mean, you know, sometimes that's the problem with games and comics and video games.
Starting point is 01:51:42 They're the first to get decanonized real quick. And was it ever really canon? I don't know the answer. The answer is very well, it could be. But Dutch is actually in it, which is great. King of the Wicker people, he gets injured to the point of needing a blood infusion and volunteers for an experimental one using the...
Starting point is 01:52:00 How do you pronounce it again? Tudja? I don't know. He stops aging and gains super strength. I don't know if I want to see that, though. I kind of like the idea of old withered Dutch trying to have to, you know, figure out a way now because he can't just rely on his muscles and everything that he did back in 87. Now he's got another shot.
Starting point is 01:52:22 I'm excited to see what they do with him. I'd like to see him come back. Buster Barnes, just my opinion, but I think some people on the super chats are getting way too ahead of themselves with DCU. We're only finishing year one. Yeah, you know, that's what I said. You got to give it a little time to finish and see what happened. We don't even know when that show is coming out. Plus, we still don't know when lanterns is coming out.
Starting point is 01:52:43 We still haven't, by the time the Olson show comes out, we already have got, I think lanterns, then you have Supergirl, and then Clayface. So you'll have a little bit more idea of what it is and a handful of announcements that maybe even before the time you release the Olson show, we'll have an announcement of who Wonder Woman or Batman was. So I'm kind of with you there, Buster. What do you think, Seth?
Starting point is 01:53:11 Yeah, I'm completely with you. I feel like we have no idea what's actually going to be on screen, so we should just wait. It's natural to form of opinions, but I think it's way too soon to just know what we feel. Agreed. Buster Barnes, too. Saying that we need the Justice League right away is leaning into the issue with the DCEU
Starting point is 01:53:32 and saying that maybe we need a reboot wouldn't be so bad as crazy. I'm with you on both. Justice League is too soon. And you can't reboot it yet. They just started. That would look like such a loss for Warner Brothers, like such a failure. Like, oh, let's give up now. You got to, you're in, you're in.
Starting point is 01:53:52 Yeah. Yeah. Steph, how about this one? Monarch Legacy of Monsters makes the movies better in retrospect. And Annie Sowie from Shogun stars with Wyatt and Kerr Russell. I did watch the first episode. It was really good. I think you would like it too, Steph.
Starting point is 01:54:06 Okay. Yeah. Yeah, I know she's in it. That's a huge poll for me. So I'll check it out. I just saw him. Cosmos. Wasn't it Cosmos? I just saw him in warfare. He's really good in that. Oh. I was not, I thought you met him the movie. I was like, no, no, no, no. What's his name in Shogun? It's Cosmos? Cosmo Jarvis or. Cosmo Jarvis. Yeah, yeah. I just saw him in the, in that movie. Buster, the third one. If we get Batman and Wonder Woman in 2028, that means we're going to get two Superman, one Batman, one Wonder Woman movie in
Starting point is 01:54:41 2025, 2028 sounds decent to me. I'm with you. That's a good way to build. It's a good way to build me. Hold back a little bit more and make people anticipate it. Casey Grant, the Warriors, an hour and 33 minutes, perfect movie length. For Steph, yes. Sam has seen that.
Starting point is 01:54:56 Anything in the 80s in that era, Sam has probably seen it. It was the stuff once she's, you know, there's a lot of stuff that she missed, but there's a lot of stuff. 2000s. Yeah, a lot of things you'd be surprised that she's seen. Chris A, have any of you guys? scene when trumpets fade it's a world war two movie and spielberg almost did that movie instead of saving part ryan in my opinion is better than it really i i don't i i same pride ryan's my favorite spilbert movie so i don't know um you've seen savor pride ryan i don't think so you would know
Starting point is 01:55:28 oh you and that's definitely an easy watch but that's when we you you would know if you saw that one yeah you know that's with matt damon right yeah he's in it but he's not okay there's like a huge Matt Damon movies I haven't seen. Goodwill hunting you've seen. I've seen Goodwill hunting, but his whole franchise where he's like born? Yeah. Holy shit, Steph, we got a lot to watch, girl. I know. That's great. All right, cool. Um, so I do, I don't know what this when Trump and fade. I don't know. Um, I have never heard of it. No. Scott P. What about Batman 89? Not sure if two hours are a hard cut, but it's two hours and six minutes. Also, Steph should watch last action here. Yeah, we're going to watch Last Action Hero.
Starting point is 01:56:12 We're going to watch on our list. Yeah, Last Action Hero, Total Recall, Twins, Kindergarten Cop, all of them, for sure. Probably going to be what we get into next. But Batman 89, you know, the thing is Sam has seen those. Steph has seen 89 and Batman returns, but we're probably, her and I are probably going to do a rewatch of those. Because she has never seen Batman and Robin or Batman forever. so we're probably going to do those at some point too we've discussed that uh zibi has step seen real genius valkimer there is no world where she saw that movie no exactly no she she hasn't seen some of the
Starting point is 01:56:54 really big ones the obscure ones she definitely hasn't seen yeah um okay luke can you put that on the list because luke luke said we should do for december we should you and i are going to do in December. We're going to jingle all the way. We're going to do. Oh, hell yeah. We're going to do saving private Ryan. We'll have to find two or three more that you haven't that that would fit for the December. Yep. Yep.
Starting point is 01:57:20 We should have done. We should have done saving prior Ryan for Veterans Day. I didn't think about it. Right. We didn't know. Didn't know. Dancing Dog 60. I think David is in that Kim Novak film with Sweeney. Is that what it is? So I looked it up. I. Don't know if it's Novak, but I know it's Coleman Domingo's directorial debut. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:57:39 Okay. When's that? I don't know exactly. I didn't want to. But it is so far happening, which is like. Okay. All right. Sounds good to me.
Starting point is 01:57:53 Let's see. Mr. ND. fanatic, the mask, one hour 41, P. Jim, care. Well, Sam's definitely seen the mask. Have you ever seen the mask? Yes, yes, yes.
Starting point is 01:58:03 Okay. Yeah. That doesn't be a lot of. hard to find i saw a lot of not a lot but i like the big comedies my parents were pretty good at those but they you know we missed a lot you missed a lot okay i just thought of one uh i want to see how long it is and maybe that because i know she hasn't seen it oh i know what i'm watching with her i know what i'm watching eternal sunshine is spotless oh it's an hour and 48 minutes it's one of my favorite movies of all the time she's never seen it she even heard of it i'm we're watching i'm we're
Starting point is 01:58:34 watching that. Yeah, that's, that's a, it's a top, top film. Yeah, and then I'll do, I'll do Matrix next, next month. Uh, Dancing Dog 60. Could Animal House ever be remade, you think? Now, could it be remade? Sure. But the way that that, that, not, look, 1978 when that was built out. Completely completely different time. Yep, yeah, different Like the the comedian power of that movie is like got away with shit and yeah yep yeah step you're at 68 okay you guys eight a way to tie eight away to wait is that true no no you're you're you're at 69 by the way and it's it's only six away time okay so we need 75 no so we my math to tie is seven and then eight to win
Starting point is 01:59:31 You need eight to win or eight eight to be put in the lead, we shall say. Draw J. Reaction for the movie, legend. I love that movie and that's definitely going to be a Steph one because there's no world where she's seen legend. No. I've missed a lot of Tom Cruise movies. If there's any of these, Luke that we're talking about, like, can you throw, because Luke's been making a list. Can you throw that on the list as well, legend for Steph?
Starting point is 01:59:54 We've got to get tabs for everybody. Okay. So, yeah, legend is definitely one we've got to do for stuff. She's at 70. She's making a run here, guys. Dancing Dog 60. Fun fact, Rambo 4 at one point was going to be Rambo versus a predator type creature. Thank God that it wasn't. You can't do that with me. Oh, my God. I would completely defeat the purpose of Rambo's character. Chris A, the movie portrays how the soldiers were kind of like rotating doors, always coming in and out. Please watch. It doesn't have to be for the channel, please. Thank you for letting me know. That's a real. That's a really good one. Um, upgrade would be a fun watch. One hour, 40 minutes. You know, I've never seen it. King of the Wicker people. So it's the same thing. Or Sam,
Starting point is 02:00:34 she just gets wrecked every week with you. She's going to, she's definitely crying and internal sunshine. Oh yeah, she's definitely going to. She's wrecked. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Hey, have you ever seen?
Starting point is 02:00:45 What Tarantino movies have you seen? Have you seen? Okay. Let me do it this way. I've seen a lot. Okay. Sam has not seen a lot of them. So have you seen Reservoir Dogs?
Starting point is 02:01:00 No. Okay, so neither has she. Have you, but she has seen Pulp Fiction, so have you. I've seen that. Okay. Jackie Brown. No. Okay.
Starting point is 02:01:10 Django and Chain. Yes. Okay. Kill Bill 1 and 2. Yes. Some of my favorites. Let me see. Hateful 8?
Starting point is 02:01:23 Yes. I love that movie. Unglorious Bastards? Yes. Okay. I'm trying to think. Those are really the ones I think. So I think it's going to be more Sam that does that because you've seen you've seen a good
Starting point is 02:01:36 majority of them. But it would be great. It would be great as if see the thing is I'm trying to figure out like part of me wants to have you and Sam do one together like virtual, right? Like maybe like reservoir dogs, whatever because you could host it. Like I always wonder like, because Sadie and Sam were going to do one. I was like, who would host it? Well, Steph can host it.
Starting point is 02:01:56 The question I worry about is we definitely. couldn't watch it on Disney Plus or Hulu. I'll tell you that. No. You're going to watch it on Amazon. Have you ever done one with three? Like where you're still in it? Are you trying to save time? Two. I don't know. Maybe. I don't know. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 02:02:17 Do people do reactions? Yeah. I don't know. Dancing Dog 60, Universal Soldier's reaction. There's no world that you've seen that. Never heard of it. John Claude Van Damme. and Dolph Longgren. I love that movie. Luke, let's put that on the list for sure. Julius Wyatt. Hateful Aid is Tarantino's most underrated movie. It's really solid.
Starting point is 02:02:36 It is so good. I actually completely agree with that, Julius. Do you know that it was, do you know, so Jennifer Jason Lee, who is the main girl in that? Okay. She is my favorite. It was between her and somebody else who were supposed to have that role. Do you know who the other person was? No. You take, you have two guesses. Scarlett Johansson. No. Okay. Um, I don't like a Helena Bome Carter. Katie Sackoff. Oh my gosh. Katie was in and read with, um, Tarantino and it was like she went to his house, was reading with it. It was like it was, I remember being on the phone with her talking.
Starting point is 02:03:20 Damn. It was like, yeah, it was a huge. So that's huge. I hope she gets in another Tarantino film. I do too. I do too. Like not unfortunately like they, they, I, I, just the way she portrayed that character, I like cannot imagine another being on earth, being able to do what she did. Yeah. All right. Steph, this is crazier.
Starting point is 02:03:41 It's 72. Let's go, guys. We've run out of questions. So this is, this could be it. 73. Uh, you see 73? Oh.
Starting point is 02:03:53 You see 73? Yeah. You do? On, on, on, okay. On the starred section. See, on start I see 72, but that doesn't mean anything. Luke, let me know what that is. King, I might have missed another question.
Starting point is 02:04:05 Guy Ritchie's most underrated film, rock and roll, Mark Strong, Drar, Butler, Tom Hardy, Idriselva, Fannie Newton. Yeah, it's, it's a, Navid produced that, by the way. Oh, cool. He's one of them. It was Joel. I haven't seen that one. Yeah, that's a good one, too.
Starting point is 02:04:20 Let's see. All right, so you see, you're seeing 73. So if you see 73, then, I mean, that's not going to lie to you. So let's, okay, so we're at 73. So Steph needs one more to, to tie. 73 right now currently for staff. Can we do it? Okay, let's see.
Starting point is 02:04:38 If not, we're about to sign off. But look, this sucks. But we're going to start to do the sign off here, Steph. But you tell us what's going on in your channel. Okay. Just dropping videos Tuesdays and Thursdays, or sometimes I've been going live on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then always live Sundays, 5 p.m. PT, but I keep my Discord updated and you can join the Discord for free.
Starting point is 02:05:05 and we have a bunch of fun stuff going on in there. So yeah, come check it out. Have you seen that true romance? No. Oh, I don't think so. Oh, we definitely need to watch that. All right. Well, Steph, you just, within, within seconds,
Starting point is 02:05:18 you just have now taken the lead, 77. Look at you. Support for Steph Sabras. Sorry, Roxy. Thank you, RQ. Let's go. A couple underrated Ryan Reynolds, when we should check out the nines and the voices.
Starting point is 02:05:31 Okay. Nines and the Voices. Dancing Dog 60. We love Katie. Should have been Captain Marvel. At the time, I agree. She should have been. I think she would have been perfect for the role. Oh, that would be.
Starting point is 02:05:41 I could see that. That's awesome. We started, remember when she was on the Shmo's show, we were talking about it, and everyone was like, it was just, it was not too far away from when Battlestar was out. And have you, how far long have you gotten? Did you ever go back and watch that, the real pilot?
Starting point is 02:05:55 No, I need to go back and watch the real series. It's the mini series. Yeah. Yeah. Princess Positive. Kill Bill, Volume 1, and 2 releases one film in December. remember yes it does i know i heard of that i know i saw that it's awesome all right step so you only have one contender now and you i know it's jen though it's jen it's pretty big so we'll see uh jen sturge will be in tomorrow um we'll see people are going to be in there to have that conversation with myself
Starting point is 02:06:21 and jen but steph subrah is the one right now the person of beat 79 i love the legend movie. Hi, Stefan. And Christian. Hey, legend. Yeah, me too. I like, I like legend a lot. I like that one as one I'd like to see either remade or do a sequel to. That'd be cool. All right. Thank you guys for being here. Thanks to Seth Sabra. Thanks to all you guys. Make sure, again, that you're checking out any of the reactions,
Starting point is 02:06:46 reviews we have on Steph and I did Killer of Killers. It's on the channel right now. Make sure you support that. Go support Stefan.
