Starting point is 00:00:00 A lot going on here today, folks. We got Avengers Endgame, the encore presentation. Box office tracking is pointing to MCU making history once again. We've been talking about that for sure. There's Resident Evil. The numbers have gone up since the reviews. There's a first look at Greta Gerwig's Narnia,
Starting point is 00:00:25 Escape from New York, Zach Sniv was talking about that. And we have a major announcement. to make here today on this show about my show, about our show, trending. So myself, Mike Kahnowski, and we think Winston-A Marshall, but right now it's myself and Mike. So let's get into it. It's the show.
Starting point is 00:00:49 Here we go. Did you shit in there? Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the Christian Harlov show, adjusting the camera for just a second as we try to get the man of the hour. Winston A. Marshall is here last minute, but he did it. He did it. Hey, I apologize for the... You're good.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Mr. Mike Kalanowski. Yeah. He's there. Let's see. This is the problem. This is it. This is it. All right. So, Mike's contemplating right now. What is he contemplating? He and I have been talking. We've just been talking. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:01:38 We've just been talking. That's not good. No, no. It's good. Y'all need adult supervision. I don't know. It's good. It's good.
Starting point is 00:01:46 I do, you know, I have, once we said in the intro, so we've got a lot going on here to obviously the stories that we're going to talk about. But we have a major announcement in regards to the pilot that I'm going to be doing here in just a little bit. And we are currently at 2567. And if we hit 2,600 today by the stream, I'm going to announce. two more competitors that have agreed to do the 16-person tournament should we fund this thing.
Starting point is 00:02:18 If we had 2,700, they'll announce three. So you said more. Does that mean we've already announced a few? Yeah. So Chris Carr has officially joined as our rookie, right? I guess we could say this too. Well, first of all, Jen Sturger's going to be doing interviews again. Mark Ellis will be on the desk.
Starting point is 00:02:38 PJ and PLD will be writing the questions. Our teams will be back. Roxy will be coming back as a manager. Winston A. Marshall will be coming back as a manager. So that stuff is definitely on the table. So we have Chris Carr competitor. We announced John Roka, obviously. William Bibiani.
Starting point is 00:03:02 And then on his stream the other night, Dangerous Dan Merle confirmed. Oh, bro, y'all got some heavy hitters already. Jesus. We have more. We just haven't announced them all. Yeah. And we have some that we'll be announcing. Our live stream happens on Tuesday, 10-hour stream that we'll be doing all day with some special guests. It will be the normal time, the 12 o'clock to 2 p.m. Eastern time will be the normal me, Mike, and Roxy.
Starting point is 00:03:29 We'll be on, we'll be doing some fun things and talking about the show. and we're releasing the tears for the campaign at 10.30 a.m. Eastern time. Craig will start the, the stream at 10 o'clock. And in 1030, we make that we make it live. 11 o'clock, Mark Ellis will be on the show, from 11 until 12 o'clock leading into the Mike and Roxy two hours. But we also will have another special guest on with Ellis that I will save for the actual stream. itself. We have we have a lot of special guests coming in. I already announced that Dan Merle will be coming in. Uh, he'll be talking there. But let me, I'm going to do, I'm going to do our announcement guys. And I'm going to do it in a way because people
Starting point is 00:04:14 asked me today on my live stream, they said to me, um, is there a video yet that you're going to be putting on the Kickstarter? And I said, we're going to be launching it. And we have that video. We're going to debut the video right here right now. And inside of the video, our special announcement will happen. So here it is. My name's Christian Harloff, and I'm going to be running a Kickstarter for a 30-minute comedy called Trending. I played Danny Lyons. He's a comedian, ex-podcaster, and he has to do a show with his ex-wife who's played by... What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:04:47 Selling the show. That's not selling anything. Okay. Hey, everybody. I'm Christian Harloff. Hey, everybody. I'm doing great. We're putting together a Kickstarter for 30 million.
Starting point is 00:05:01 You do it less serious and tell them about... We're doing a Kickstarter. and we're gonna make a show. My name is Christian Harloff. This is Martini Perritory. We're doing a show called Trending. And you want to tell them what it's about? Yeah, we forget what the story is.
Starting point is 00:05:15 You wrote it. Can you please tell the good people what this is about? I'd love to tell it. It's about two exes that hate each other who have to host a podcast together. And they have to survive each other through the craziness and their careers are in the dumps. And they're surviving midlife and reinventing themselves
Starting point is 00:05:30 and they have a whole ensemble around them. What about the team? We have a really great team, and her and I are very proud of the team that we have. Tell them about it. Okay. We have Andrew Free, who is an Emmy Award winning producer director, and Wendy O'Brien, who is a fabulous casting director. They may have known her from... It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Abbott Elementary. Tulsa King. Lots of great stuff. Why are we doing a Kickstarter?
Starting point is 00:05:53 Tell me. Because we think that you guys are going to get what we're trying to do. We're going to give you from the grassroots to figure out how do we make this show. However... We're on a telethon. However, we hope to raise more. Hello. Oh, yes, yes, 500.
Starting point is 00:06:06 We got a taker, $500? Oh, what? Your grandmother wants to donate to Pazas? Great. Hello. Hello. You got a call.
Starting point is 00:06:15 What are you going to do? Tom. What are you going to go? What are you going to go? We're going to give you the process from start to finish. You can be in the meetings with the director, the meetings with the casting director. You're going to do so much and be there to see how a pilot is made. You get dailies.
Starting point is 00:06:31 You get a learn a day. TV TV show. You get a new car. You can drive Christian to set. You can teach Martini French. Bonjour. Please teach Martini French. You can watch cartoons in, um, in German. Nine. If you donate to this campaign, you can critique Martini's life decisions. I'd take that for a hundred dollars. So, help us back this project today. Click that link. How can you deny these things? Make it happen and watch this. Come to life. It's trending. What are you doing?
Starting point is 00:07:03 Kick it. starting, I'm raising the money. You're raising the money? You just lost this money. Bye. Oh my God, you can't even go all the way low. Well, there you go. There is now, Guy wasn't what you say? I just, y'all, I don't know how you don't back that show because clearly,
Starting point is 00:07:31 clearly the two of you have chemistry where it's just like, man, I, I, knowing that having read the scripts and knowing where, like, what she was doing and everything else, else she fits the character to a team right 100% holy shit 100% we wrote it around that's what I said today on the thing I said that you know we we just we rearranged that character to fit like her strengths and she has a lot of strengths you know so but the big announcement there is that we got wendy o'brien as our casting director and wendy who emmy award winning casting director it's always sunny in philadelphia abbin elementary um and we uh we were blown away because a friend
Starting point is 00:08:11 sent her the script and she loved the script and she wanted to be involved in it and so that's one of the things that i hope people will get excited about and i even have in a special kind of announcement here too at some point probably like 1230 uh andrew freed is going to call into the show and talk about it for a couple of minutes just about how big of a deal this is so that's when i tell people that when they're talking about when we're backing this thing that now with someone like wendy involved that if we can get the budget for her to reach out to the people with the amount of people that she's worked with. Just do yourselves a favor and check out Wendy O'Brien, IMDB. Oh, I'm aware. I know you are. I know you are. I don't like this, but like, but I want the
Starting point is 00:08:55 audience to check that out and see. So that is the video that we are going to be posted. And Mike, you're a good critic here. So what did you think of the video? Great. Who's house? Whose place is that? That was Andrew's place. That's nice. That's great. dangerous place. So we're actually going to be shooting there for, you know, we would be shooting there for probably for Martinez characters. Her name is her, Kelly. Does he live near you?
Starting point is 00:09:23 He's in, he's in, no, he's in California. Oh, shit. That was like one of the times when you said you had to fly here to shoot something. That was one of the things. Oh, when I, when I just, when I was there the last time we shot that. We shot, we shot there when the hell was there, like a couple weeks ago, whenever I was there. a month ago that's that's that's that's when i was there and so you know we've just been waiting for um we've been waiting to announce wendy for a bit and then she's like she's really excited for it and
Starting point is 00:09:52 we're i can't wait to have her involved i mean it just there's such a bit you know legitimacy to it overall you know so uh so that's what i hope people realize that we're really trying to put together something here uh special and i hope that you guys are on if you weren't on board before i hope you're on board now. Now the other thing, and I'm going to check, because I might be able to do this now, let me double check. I'm going to refresh it. Let's see. No, not yet. Okay, I'm double checking because there's something else I thought I would be able to announce, but I'm waiting for Craig. Oh, okay. Never mind. All right, never mind. We'll do, uh, on Monday. So on Monday with, on Roka's show.
Starting point is 00:10:40 I've just got word on this. We're going to reveal, right the day before we do the live stream, we're going to reveal all of the tears on Monday. So there you go. All right. And Andrew would probably be calling in the next like 15 minutes. So we'll try to get some stories before that happens. So let's do it.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Let's get to this big story here, man, which is the Avengers endgame, right? And I assume it's Mike. Mike, you don't think that it should count, right? Any money that it makes towards... Well, we've talked about this, like, and you told me it does. I mean, I don't really have an argument. It's, I kind of feel it shouldn't count.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Like, it's like... Because, you know, hey, whatever. It doesn't matter. Well, here's the overall story. Let's get into the story itself. And for, just so people know, Mike and Winston. No, I think right, I looked this morning and it was Roxy and Greg that were in the lead, but Chris's totals have not added up yet. And she did pretty good yesterday. So there's a good
Starting point is 00:11:48 possibility. Greg Alba? Yeah, Greg Alba came in, who's a producer on the show on trending. So he came on to talk about a little bit more. And yes, he'll be on the live stream on Tuesday as well. But let's get into it. Let's get into this topic. And this topic, of course, is that Avengers, game. The Encore box office tracking points to the MCU movie making history again, and this is overall for next week it comes out, which is pretty nuts. Okay, let's see. Where'd we go? There we are. All right. So, Avengers Endgame tracking points, and Avengers Endgame is headed back to theaters on September 25th and early box office tracking suggests that the encore edition of the Infinity saga conclusion will make box office history. Avengers Endgame returns.
Starting point is 00:12:37 to theaters next weekend as Avengers Endgame Encore, and it seems that the movie will once again break North American box office records. According to Global Box Office, the blockbuster is tracking to open between 22 million and 27 million. If it ends the weekend on the higher end, then it will beat Titanic 3D 25.6 to score the biggest opening weekend of all time for a re-release. As a reminder, there's a 124.27 million difference between Avengers Endgame and Avatar at the World Box Office. Can the MCU movie dethrone James Cameron's sci-fi epic? It's a big ass, but certainly not impossible, depending on international audiences. A new poster has also been released for the encore movie, illustrated by Dolly. It's an awesome piece that assembles the original Avengers as Thanos looms larger above them.
Starting point is 00:13:22 The re-release rule will feature a new look at Avengers Doomsday and will be presented in the Disney's newly launched Infinity Vision format. All right, let's see. So this is further comments are just pretty much saying how it was required viewing and yada. So, Winston, you see this. People are probably going to go into the theater to see the end credit scene, the minute to two minutes that you're probably going to get out of it. They're probably also going to want to go and revisit that movie again on the big screen to go check it out. Is there a world where, there are two questions. The 123 that it thrones avatar.
Starting point is 00:14:02 And is there a world that it smashes that and gets to 200 and becomes the first $3 billion. I think it'll it'll easily clear Avatar you think it easily clear I think so I think you said 120 million something like that I think that 123 that's I had one two three come on
Starting point is 00:14:20 as easy as ABC let's let's go I don't I don't think that that'll be that hard for them to pull off especially because of the scenes and I think because of the success of Spider-Man brand new day so people still have like Marvel like strongly in their minds because Doomsday
Starting point is 00:14:37 coming. I think that that'll easily clear. Getting to the $3 billion a little bit harder, but I do think that they'll do it. I think you will end up in a scenario of people both being excited about Doomsday in these scenes, but also wanting to push it over the edge and say, hey, I saw
Starting point is 00:14:53 a $3 billion movie. I think that you'll get enough people for only $200 million. I think that's enough people that you could get excited to go and do that. Mike, I know you don't love doing the box office predictions, but you know, the idea that this could make
Starting point is 00:15:09 123. The reason why I agree with Winston that I think it'll clear it for sure is that Titanic made something like on the re-release in 3D made something crazy. The number was Pieldy, can you go back and see what was the release of Titanic 3D?
Starting point is 00:15:27 2000. I don't know. It would have been like 12, like 11, right? Yeah. Somewhere in that range. I remember going on a double date for that. 13, 14 years later.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Right. With inflation. And it's already tracking to beat what Titanic did opening weekend. And Titanic is the biggest opening weekend. What's a tracking to get opening weekend? Like $30 million, did you say? I think Titanic, they said 24, and I think this is looking at like 25, 26. So it's got to do at least four times that over this run?
Starting point is 00:16:06 $2.23 million? Yeah, well, yeah, but also that's only I don't know. First of all, is this a limited release? Is it only going to be in theaters? I don't know the answer to that. You know, I think that it's going to. I thought it was wide. I thought, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:16:17 I think he means, um, he means like, is it going to leave me in a theater for like a week? It's like, hey, see, end game on court for two weeks only. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Or are they just going to let it run until it's dead? Um, I, that's a good question. I, I would probably guess that the answer is, let's see how it does opening weekend. And if it does really well, opening weekend, then I'll probably leave it on them for this week I'm going to be contrarian and I'm going to say, no, it's not going to beat it.
Starting point is 00:16:40 I think it'll have a huge opening weekend with everyone that wants to see it. And I think after that, I don't think it's going to do well. Titanic's five-day opening weekend was 25.64 million. Avengers is tracking for now between 22 and 27 million. And what did it do? Titanic re-release is the biggest, by far, made the most on its run out of all the re-releases. Do you know the number on that? It looks like approximately 85,90 million.
Starting point is 00:17:09 No, it did more. It did more than that. First wave and total global re-release run at 343 million. Yes, 343. Right. So overall, I made, on the, thank you. Overall, in the three hundred, uh, the wide release for Titanic on that re-release, it made 343 million, right?
Starting point is 00:17:25 So there's no way in game. No way. No way. No chance. Uh, not, not for that movie. But it really only has to make, if it makes worldwide, if it makes two 100. If it, you know, shatters some records and it does it. Then it's our first ever three billion dollar move. Well, here's the thing. Titanic or re-released, that to me is like, that first movie was
Starting point is 00:17:50 something special. Like, it was like, it was like, it ran for a year in theaters. That thing was, it was like one of the last movies that did that. E.T. used to do it back to the year. You're also kind of trying to bring back that feeling of like, man, remember that when everyone wanted, that like movies or even went to movies watching Titanic. Endgame, this is the oh my God, what are they going to show that's going to set up Doomsday? This is not, we've got to see M game that we haven't seen six years ago.
Starting point is 00:18:15 It's, oh, remember that feeling? We're going to recreate. Like, no one's going to go, I want to feel portals again, that scene. You can't recreate that. You don't recreate that. I mean, I think there are some people. I think there are some people who are excited. That is, dude, that was 10 years building up to and we were all on board for that. Like, that was insane. I mean, that's not. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:34 I agree with you, but I also disagree in the sense of, I think, the idea of trying to go back to that moment and see. Hey, guys, my name's Chris. It has a lot to do with it. It's all good. It's all good. It's a lot to do with it. But I think also the main difference between wanting to go see Titanic and you put it in 3D. One, it was 3D.
Starting point is 00:18:58 So the gimmick of all that, everybody was on board with that. But then I think the other thing is it wasn't as oversatine. I guess maybe as endgame was because if you think about it in the in the social media era all the different clips people have made all sorts of spoofs and AIs and all that people weren't doing that with Titanic back in the day because it's not something that like existed so I think that there was maybe a little bit of that special element of Titanic coming back because of that and I think that that might be the the main thing that might keep people out is like I can watch it at home on my big ass TV that I already have seen a million times but I still think there is enough drive because of doomsday. I think that's what it is. I think that's what it is. It's the excitement of like I'm looking forward to seeing Doomsday or even people going, you know what, I want to get hyped up for Doomsday again. Now I want to, let's, let me go see Endgame in a
Starting point is 00:19:44 theater and get that feeling again. Oh, yeah, that's what this feels is like. Because Mike, you're not going to ever get that feeling of seeing the portals thing for the first time if you haven't seen it, right? But there is still something about seeing it in the big screen and on IMAX that might put people pretty high. So, I'm curious what people think. What
Starting point is 00:20:02 do you think? Put your thoughts in there. let us know. Are you going to see this movie? Do you want to check it out? Put your thoughts. Please tell us. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Oh, Norman, oh, no. What happened to Norman? What happened to Norman? I don't know what that was. Anyway, so. Jesus Christ. So we are excited. We're here.
Starting point is 00:20:30 We're ready to go. It's time for the movie trivia show. Not yet. Not yet, but soon enough. Okay. Our next thing to discuss, you know what? You know what we'll do? Because we're waiting on Andrew also and we got three minutes. Let me tell you guys about Cash App. I'll tell you about Cash App real quick.
Starting point is 00:20:48 We'll come back. Andrew should be here. There we go. Thank you. Thank you to Cash App for being part of the show. Excited to have them. As always, links in the description for that. Gentlemen, we currently are at eight questions.
Starting point is 00:21:03 It's all right. We can build. We can build towards it. I think we're going to do all right as we're getting, I think it's also going to be with, as we're getting closer to the Kickstarter people waiting, which I'm all right with. I think what we're going to try to do maybe, and I don't know how, I don't know how to track this, but I want to see if there's something like during that time. I think there's a way to do it.
Starting point is 00:21:23 I guess if you start, if you track the amount of donations that come in during the week, like let's say when Mike and Rocks, you're on Tuesday, which would probably be unfair to everybody else in Tuesday, because of all people were one of the biggest days, but I like to say during that two hours, we started at X amount. By the end of that show, we were at this. So Mike and Roxy are working with this. And then Wednesday, Smets is on. And during Spence's hour, we raised this.
Starting point is 00:21:50 And that's how we determine, maybe we turn the super chats off for the week, do it that way. And I don't know. I don't know yet. But I think it's just a little unfair to everybody else with. Mike and Roxy will most likely win. That's because it's the opening. It's the first day. so I think that's
Starting point is 00:22:05 I mean I don't have to I have to maybe maybe I'll do two you'll do two bonuses I don't know I'm laughing because Mike is definitely like you know the brakes bitch I don't know I don't make the rules I don't make the rules
Starting point is 00:22:19 that's right that's right you wanted this thing with your numbers so hey I don't make the rules Mike what do you think about the the tournament that we've put together so far what you're thinking the 16 yeah the 16 person tournament
Starting point is 00:22:33 You don't want to know my thoughts. I don't want to know your thoughts? What don't I want to know? Yeah. Yeah. So I'm trying to, because it's now just, do people know that you have people,
Starting point is 00:22:51 but you haven't announced them yet? No, no. They don't know. I know a lot. You know a few, you know a few that have not been announced. Right. So I'm just kind of like,
Starting point is 00:22:59 yeah. You put, you put, you're putting together a fucking murderer's row. man. It's going to, you know, if you're going to come back, you've got to come back in style, right? You've got to come back in style. And, you know, there's going to be, the fact that we're going, and this, this I've been pretty
Starting point is 00:23:14 open about it. And I think I don't even know if I said it on this stream. What I'd love to do is the, is to shoot for three days and then do a live event with two events inside the live event and make the live event huge. Here's something that I think I just kind of answered it myself, knowing that you shot at Andrew's house. Yeah. Are you shooting the, would the turnip be?
Starting point is 00:23:33 in person. So that all depends on, you know, how we do as far as budget and stuff goes to. I think, I think ideally that's really how you have to do it. Yeah, it's just a digital's kind of. It's not the show. It's just not the show. It just depends on
Starting point is 00:23:49 where we would shoot it. And I, well, this does sweeten the pot a little bit for me. If I were to think about it. That's in a studio, you mean? Well, because, and I say this, because there's an element of intimidation and character that helps you if you're not a, you know, savant with movie knowledge
Starting point is 00:24:12 where even though they're great, you can kind of get in their skin and yeah, that messes with them. So when you're in person. Yeah. Yes. All right. Let me, let me ask you this, Mike, because I'm, I'm going to, I'll say this. The audience knows.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I've already offered Mike a spot in the tournament. He has not given me answer yet. Can we, can we say this, Mike? Can you give me your answer on the live stream on Tuesday? Oh, God. That's like Yeah, Tuesday. We're coming up on Tuesday,
Starting point is 00:24:39 but we want to see if Mike will accept my offer to be in the tournament, knowing that it's going to be in person, knowing that Andrew Freed is going to be involved as far as producing it. Will you give us your answer on Tuesday? Christ. I mean, I have to talk to my manager. Well, that's another question, too. haven't and that so if mike says yes that means Shannon comes back oh does it have you talked to her
Starting point is 00:25:09 no but she would she she wouldn't let she wouldn't let she wouldn't let you walk out there alone you know her she's not going to let you walk along walk do that oh god almighty my my my bowels puckering up already hey mike mike they ignore the butthole pucker doesn't that me windy going watch this then wind that's right oh has being corruption all up on the on the camera bro and then she goes to know I need that energy. I need that energy for another Philly episode. Always sunny. She'll probably be in the crowd for that, you know, for the live event.
Starting point is 00:25:40 So we, Winston, you know Mike as well as I do. Your prediction, do you think there's any world that he can let a 16-person tournament with all these people performing and hammers all over the place and he'd be able to say, yeah, I'm okay sitting out this one. Yes, and the only way that he would do that is if you also announced an eight person in a geekdom tournament, in which case that he'd like, yeah, let me go get my belt. Well, it wouldn't be getting the belt. I mean, unless it's, you know, going in a tournament to find out the number one contender, but then because Smets is the, is the reigning champ. But, Mike, have you seen all the, all the talk that's been going on with people asking me about what would happen if you and Smet's performing again?
Starting point is 00:26:26 Have you seen this? No. Someone asked me on Merle show the other day, who I thought would win between, that's both of us. I want you to guess who Merle took and who I took. If the U.S. played it again.
Starting point is 00:26:37 If you guys played it for the fourth time for the title, who did Dan pick and who did I pick to win? Oh, God. Well, I'm just going to go off of reading how you just said that. I want to say you picked me and Dan picked Smets. 100%. And the reason why is because I think that you guys are in a different headspace right now where Kevin has, you play video games to three in the morning.
Starting point is 00:27:00 If you wanted to really commit to studying, you wouldn't have a lot of distractions outside of work and other things that you'd have to do, you know, to really commit. Kevin's got a, I believe she's four or six, five or six years old now. She started the pandemic, Jesus. Yeah, she's got five or six years old. And he's married and there's a lot more life responsibilities that come. And plus he's editing a bunch of shows and doing,
Starting point is 00:27:25 other things. He's a lot more. Yeah, because, you shut your mouth. Hold on. No. Here we go. Yo,
Starting point is 00:27:29 not the stink. Smetz gets five monitors up and one of them is this thing he's editing. He's not going to do that for a fucking movie. He's not going to be able to do that for the end. He's like, he's like, he's like, he's moving things around.
Starting point is 00:27:46 He's like that one. Don't give me that bullshit. I'm just, you know what he's going to have? He'll have his little daughter quizzing him too, so we'll have an extra helping hand. Maybe. He'll be a little.
Starting point is 00:27:55 You'd be like Ricky Steamboat back in the day walking out with this kid. For sure. Now, now here's a question for you. This is, this is, I'm going to give you an opportunity here. All right. Let's say that you decide that you are going to come back. And I go, okay, listen, Shannon can come back for one of the matches, but I can also get you, Penny Barber walk it, walk you out.
Starting point is 00:28:14 What do you do? Are you trying to make me single? Are you trying to fucking make me single? I was going to say, that's, that's a dirty shot, bro. That's a dirty shot. That's essentially like, be like, hey, Chris. So Martini, we're going to pick her out. We're going to plug in my show trending.
Starting point is 00:28:29 Martini. Trending, Mike, to help me do a solid for my show trending. Can I fuck up your relationship? Just for my show. How about that, Mike? That's what I'm saying, is that you go, you're tough. Hey, baby. So Martini's out.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Julia Roberts is in. Oh, right. You know that there's now a sex scene. So I'm sorry. Yeah, we decided. Andrew decided we needed a sex scene. Robert. Babe is for the show.
Starting point is 00:28:54 It's our show. show. Oh yes, mommy. You know, what's funny, what's funny is that Mike didn't really answer the question. Yo, bro, you will break it every bro code. Why are you calling this back out?
Starting point is 00:29:10 Let us be the one show. I think Penny and Shannon would get along great. I think they would get along really well. And that's the other thing is, why not both? And then they team up and fucking make fun of me and shit. Yeah. Yeah, but you would like it.
Starting point is 00:29:24 stop this. Yeah. This is even... I'd be like Ryan... I'd be like Ryan Gosling on that episode of S&L where he was just sitting there in the back and going, now kiss. Now kiss.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Oh, yeah. That dude, when he laughs and during that scene, when he's like, oh, it's the best. Now you got a kiss. Yeah, it's the best. That seems hilarious. Anyway, so Mike will give us an answer on Tuesday, I'm sure, of what we're going to do here,
Starting point is 00:29:53 whether or not the kill. will be in the tournament. I will say this. Kevin Smith will not be in the single tournament. Well, let me ask you this. Yeah. Are you also going to do this where you've built, you're building storylines that have happened in the,
Starting point is 00:30:09 in the time since we've been back and what's going to happen? Yeah, well, we're, like, hey, we're 16 competitors that are back in the day. We're coming back. You know me well enough. Mike, you were one of my, you were one of my top guys. It's, it, the killer being, the character of the killer coming back to the tournament would be a major storyline.
Starting point is 00:30:27 It would be a major storyline. It would be a major storyline. And, you know, the fact that Roka's back too, you guys had your past. Merle is back, you know, like Roka and Merle had their past. Chris Carr coming in as a rookie. It's like, what is she going to do? You know, like you got Bibiani, who the kind of entrances you're going to get from him or going to, you know, there's no world where Bibiani's not going to have the biggest entrance
Starting point is 00:30:52 he ever had in his life in. returning, you know? So, anyway. All right, let's move on. Let's go to Solo. There's some news on Solo, which somewhere John Hoey is weeping in the corner
Starting point is 00:31:08 because it says that Alden Aaron Reich, how do they do it again? People keep telling me to get something for my glasses to put them over there because, again, so this happened yesterday, by the way. My glasses yesterday. I dropped them like, I just did now. And then they just reappeared
Starting point is 00:31:27 by my feet. Now I'm looking around. They are nowhere to be found. No, bro. What's what you got to do? I don't know. You got to get like a little glasses stand. That's what they said. That's what everybody said, but I found. You don't need to wear the next thing. And then you look like an old librarian and
Starting point is 00:31:42 ain't nobody trying to see all that. It's true. All right. Listen to me. Solo, Star Wars Story. Alder Iron Rank appears uninterested to return as Han Solo. despite fans relentlessly companion that's a stretch
Starting point is 00:31:57 that's a stretch no one's relentlessly he's John Hoey in his group of merry men I love I love John but that's that's there's like 33 people that that want that movie there's dozens of us absolutely
Starting point is 00:32:12 dozens dozens dozens dozens Dozens Our story Pierce largely he doesn't give a shit anymore A dozen people eating a dozen donuts isn't dozens No, no, right. After a creative clash between Kathleen Kennedy and Phil Lord and Miller, Ron Howard ended up at the helm of Star Wars solo and we got what we got. Disney then decided to hit the pause button on the planned Star Wars story spinoffs, including rumored movies
Starting point is 00:32:39 for characters such as Obi-Wan and Yoda. Each May Star Wars fans mark the anniversary of Solo stories released by taking to Twitter and Instagram to demand that Lucas make solo to happen. That's lost steam as years have passed, thank the Lord. And Lucasfilm has done nothing to make a sequel reality. Even the Donald Glover led Lando spinoff on Disney Plus seems to fallen by the wayside since being announced. There's also talk about being a movie. Well, in an interview with Indie Wire, Alden Aaron Reich was asked about playing the iconic smuggler and responded with a brief, no idea. The journalist pushed for more from the Ironheart star, likely his trajectory to
Starting point is 00:33:16 Andrew Garfield's return in Spider-Rand-No Way home, seven years after being dropped as Peter Parker. and Earnhardt, clearly, not overly interested in further discussing it, simply said, oh, interesting, we'll see. As of now, it seems doubtful that he'll get a chance to play Han again unless Landl becomes a reality and he's enlisted for a cameo. It all depends on what new, on what new president Dave Filoni has planned for the franchise. Anyway, so this is something, if I'm him, I don't want anything to do with this. no anything to do with it he's good and and we've talked about this mike he wasn't he wasn't bad in the movie he was actually really good in the movie he just wasn't hon solo and and that's fine he he there's never once that i watched that movie and say this guy's terrible he's awesome he's a great
Starting point is 00:34:08 actor he's good he's great in he's great he's great he's great he's great he's great weapons he's a great weapons he was in yeah he's a great i enjoy him i he's a great i love all the naron rike that's the one i want to always make clear when i when i talk about this movie that I just don't dig the movie. It's not him. And if I'm him, go, wow, just stepping into Harrison Ford's shoes in general is one thing. And then with all the mess that was behind it and the fact that before Mandelorean and Grogu, it was like the biggest Star Wars disappointment, um, box office wise. And, you know, I'm good. I'm my, my, his career is fine. He's, he was just in, he was just in an
Starting point is 00:34:45 Oscar, you know, the, the movie that, uh, Amy, uh, won for. people loved weapons, you know, he was just in that, he's in other things. If I'm him, Mike, I'm going, no, thanks. I'm all right. Yeah, I agree. I just, I just also don't think, like, he did a good job. He wasn't, like, I agree, he wasn't really Han Solo. But if I'm seeing anything and that's not happening because I got canceled, I wanted to see
Starting point is 00:35:10 Donald Glover as Lando again. He was the best part of that movie, in my opinion. He was, he was good. He, he, he, that was the difference in my opinion is that he had the essence of what you could see that young Billy Williams you could see that and you're like oh okay that they're playing the same character I didn't think Alden was they was just playing a very different character and I was through direction to maybe all the directors that he'd worked with but I didn't really want to see a Landau movie and I didn't need to see unless unless the movie
Starting point is 00:35:41 was again where it was there's this whole story of where Landau is because Donald Glover now has got to be close to 40 right how old is he yeah he's he's in a his 40s. He's like 41. So you could see him doing something maybe like with a, if they were going to do it with, Mike's going to roll his eyes on this one, but if you're going to do like a movie with him and Luke, like that would be interesting. Like to do like a partner up with
Starting point is 00:36:01 some kind of connecting to the new trilogy or layer or something to connect. I'll be honest. A movie would be fun, but I thought they were doing a series. That's what they went back and forth. It was a movie. It was a series. I don't know what hell. I think.
Starting point is 00:36:17 I think a series would have been like instead of instead of what we did with Obi-Wan, I would have preferred to see that Landau series because it's one of those things where it's like, we learned a lot about Obi-Wan both in Clone Wars. We learned a lot about him in the prequel movies, all that kind of stuff. We really still have never truly got to know Lando.
Starting point is 00:36:35 That would have been a fun series to just be like, okay, what makes Lando-Lando? Well, we'll see. Overall, I'm very curious what people think. Well, we do have our special guest here now, so I'm just going to go real quick. I'm going to just jump in and give myself the soul just for a second.
Starting point is 00:36:52 As we mentioned earlier, guys, we just announced Wendy O'Brien, our casting director, and I told you that Andrew Freed, our director and producer, was going to call in. I'm not lying. There he is. Andrew Fried is here.
Starting point is 00:37:11 What's up, Andrew? Can you hear us? Nope. It's not. Uh-oh. It's frozen. Can you see me or hear me? I can see you.
Starting point is 00:37:21 We can hear you. Can you hear us? I can't hear you. Oh, no. Do I heard you before? Hang up on me and then I'll try it again. No, you hang up. I don't know what you're saying, but I'm going to try again.
Starting point is 00:37:33 All right, do that again. I think he's got to hang up. And then I'm going to tell him this. Texting Andrew Freed, hang up and try again. All right. So I'm just texting him. So I usually, I think that, remember that thing that was happening in a Chris Carr, where she kept
Starting point is 00:37:50 so let me see it's that thing that happens like yeah just leave the stream and then come back all right so we'll try that and we'll see if um and I'm going to give an update right now as we wait for Andrew
Starting point is 00:38:10 he's still in here there he is now he's back be back all right now you can hear us I can hear you now all right there we go there we go so Andrew first of all is it happening? Yeah it's happening you're alive Oh, great. Hi, everybody. I was listening. I was listening to Star Wars stuff and then listening about And Lando and then my audio broke. And so it's nice to meet you guys. Are you able to turn your phone that way?
Starting point is 00:38:36 What am I doing? Turning it this way? Just turning it. Yep. Am I going to go sideways when that happens? Yeah, it'll turn. Perfect. That's better? Much. I'm like literally holding my phone. I'm sorry. You know, I'm normally and committed to a far better visual aesthetic. Christian, but I'm in Vegas. I like it. So, so Andrew, you know, we just announced Wendy O'Brien on the Kickstarter. People are excited. We just hit 2570 as far as followers go. We're right in the thick of this thing. Why should people be excited
Starting point is 00:39:06 that we got Wendy O'Brien on this project now? Well, first of all, it's one of these like self-evident things, right? So Wendy happens to be awesome and talented and wonderful and all those things. Look at her credits, right? Like,
Starting point is 00:39:22 she is to me the like gold platinum whatever standard there is of not only like finding identifying and and bringing like new talent to the forefront as she's done with Abbott elementary and always sunny and right like talk about like the Mount Rushmore of comedy right now like right like so it's it's all it's all amazing as I said she's just a wonderful addition but for me the most exciting part of is, and you'll talk to her. I don't want to speak for her, but it's her, it's the energy that she's bringing to this, right? Like, we are trying to do something that is, uh, dare I say, disruptive, right? Like that's a bit of a cliche word, but like, we're trying to do something a little different. We're trying to sort of be purely creative. We feel like the model is maybe not completely broken,
Starting point is 00:40:16 but it doesn't work for everyone the way maybe it should and the way it could. And so to have someone as established and just like great as Wendy experienced, established, you know, deep relationships. She's just, I now, as much as I've been like thrilled to be able to structure this in a way to offer some creative access to what we've been doing, Christian, and with Martini and with the group that we've had in place. But now I feel like my access to what Wendy does and how she does it is, is worth the price of admission for me. So I, you know, what we're now going to be packaging for everybody is
Starting point is 00:40:57 even more exciting. And yeah, I'm fired up. I know you are. And we had a, we had a thing that we're going to release on Monday. Andrew and I shot a really cool thing that I'm excited for you guys to see that we'll release on money talking a little bit more about what's coming on. But I know we have you for like just another minute here. So when it comes to Wendy and the thing that blew me away is that how much she responded to the script and that she liked the script. But I'm telling the audience that as they know and they because you know when you back something you want to know where your your your money's going and so when you when you get to a place where let's say we get lucky and we super overperform this thing it gives you it gives wendy more access and more ability to
Starting point is 00:41:37 do even more what you guys do yeah look again that's it's funny to be talking about money and luck while i'm standing in las Vegas but i assure you i assure you none of this money will be going to my gambling habit in Las Vegas. But, but, yeah, I mean, look, this thing starts candidly, right, as something among friends that we're asking favors of people to help us make it. And there's fun and, like, purity in that, right? You, me, Martini, will find someone to shoot it because great. We'll find other actors to be in it.
Starting point is 00:42:16 But it starts at that level of like, okay, let's call in all the favor. is let's get everybody excited and do it. As we start to raise money beyond our goal and start to raise real money, we get to, number one, like, pay the people who are working their asses off on this in a little bit more of a fair way, but we get to stop asking just for total favors.
Starting point is 00:42:39 When we reach out to crew, when we reach out to other actors, when we reach out to publicity, when we reach up to all these other sort of Hollywood establishment systems, you know, a little bit more, money goes a really long way to say, this is, this is a legitimate thing that we're doing. And we're not asking for favors anymore. Well, I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I appreciate you calling in. And we're so excited now that we can talk about Wendy. We're going to get her on the show. You'll be back on Tuesday during the live stream marathon. Can't wait. And enjoy. Just don't lose everything in Vegas. So we don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:15 No, no, no. No, I got, I got exciting. I got exciting stuff going on here, too. for work and it's just great and you guys i'm so sorry for busting in on your conversation like that i i was i was enjoying listening to you and i hate to interrupt the show like that so so please get back at it i'm sure your your audience will be thrilled to say goodbye to me but thank you that's the all right andrew thank you man appreciate it thank you guys good to see you more soon okay so there he is the great andrew freak um nice man yeah so i mean how he's the best
Starting point is 00:43:50 He seems like a really good dude. Yeah. You met him before. He was at my birthday. Yeah, he was at my birthday dinner. When we went to the Italian restaurant in Century City. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:01 I just, that was, whoof. Yeah, that was a while ago. That feels like that was ages ago. Yeah. So, we're, uh, we're excited. We're excited to, to get going and we're pumped. So, um, anyway, let's get to the next. Paschal, or next question, rather, but next story.
Starting point is 00:44:24 And we'll do this one because this is something we have, I'm all caught up now. I'm sure Mike's all caught up. I'm sure Winston's all cut up. We'll talk, let's talk, let's talk a little lanterns. Talk a little lanterns because this show has been delivering at a really, a level that they've got to be thrilled with, right? Got to be thrilled. So, sorry, Mike. uh lanterns episode five
Starting point is 00:44:50 completes dc studios hal jordan's character character but is there still hope for how this report yes who wrote it who wrote it who wrote it I think Luke did that on purpose let me just say this real quick
Starting point is 00:45:07 because I didn't even read the article hold on hold on hold on I'll go to that website anymore I'll bring you I'll give it you know what for this one Michael I'll give you a single hold on so
Starting point is 00:45:16 I didn't even read the article I don't go to that side of anymore, despite that I love some of the guys that write for that show. So it completes Hal Jordan's characterization, death, whatever that bullshit was. So to this, to Mr. Josh Wilding, that I say, hmm, why don't you show me in the comics where there is a Hal Jordan that is 60 plus years old, has been a lantern for 40 years, was never parallax, and I'll go, you know what, they're really doing something, that's not Hal Jordan that we've seen in the comics, because that Hal Jordan,
Starting point is 00:45:49 they're taking a character that we've never seen this version of him as he's older and telling the story. So you can't assassinate his fucking character if it's not doing something that the comics have never done. You fucking asshole. He's such a prick that guy. He's such a prick. He's such a fucking prick. I know how we talked a little bit, but that's what we talked about is that's later. That's coming later.
Starting point is 00:46:13 I can get one more in. It's such a bullshit. Let me guess. The article says, oh, it's so great. Kyle Chandler's Emmy winning in his performance. It's awesome. But he gets that clickbait headline. It's such bullshit.
Starting point is 00:46:28 You can't say it assassinations a character because the comics have never told this version of it. Let's see. Let's see. Maybe the article wins you offer. Let's let's see. Let's see. All right, hold on. So this week's episode
Starting point is 00:46:42 with 92% of Rottenham tomatoes, Lantrins is a critical hit. There's no denying that the series is very good, bolstered by stellar performances from its lead and mostly strong messaging, even when the show's approach to racial issues of years between heavy-handed finger wagging. And Pick Me, EME seeking energy. This is still a much better written DCU project than, say, Peacemaker Season 2 or Supergirl. Aaron Peer is exceptional as John Stewart, while Kyle Chandler has successfully proved any doubt or wrong with a standout take on how Jordan makes us wish to live in a world where he'd been casted in a few-row. Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:47:25 He's losing. Jesus Christ. Kyle Chandler has successfully proved any doubters wrong. And standout wrong, Hal Jordan. Makes us the world where he'd been cast a decade ago. But he assassinated the character. He fucking destroyed Hal Jordan. He got up.
Starting point is 00:47:42 He took a thing and peed all over Hal Jordan. But, oh, my God, we should have gotten him earlier. What a fucking asshole. What a fucking dick. Cut this clip out and tag him in it too. Pricks. Christian. Christian, Christian, I have to beg you for something.
Starting point is 00:48:02 What a prick. I need you to do a one shot of Mike versus Josh Wilding if you broke to I'm not. I know, because that's going to turn into real life. It's going to a blood bag. Yeah, I'll turn into real life. I tried to getting them both on to mediate and then neither one of them
Starting point is 00:48:23 responded to me. They both just want to watch the world burn. It's, I, my bad, I don't know if you were going to finish the rest of the article, but I don't think we need to. It's not, it's a, it's a really stupid, but I don't even know why that was, I mean, I love Luke. Luke, I don't know why we included that one. It's a click, babe. It's what he does. It's not Luke. Now, it's not Luke. I mean, it's what that guy on that site does. He gets the click because it's a click baity
Starting point is 00:48:51 high line, but then it gets in there and praises it. It's it's the journalism that I cannot stand and I don't call it I call it journalism in the loosest sense of the fucking word because it's not journalism. It's TMZ bullshit. All right. Fair enough. That's all that kid is. Well, let's let's start with the positive side. Landers has been pretty great. O'clock. Landers is phenomenal. It's great. It's great. I don't, I actually I thoroughly disagree with the character assassination
Starting point is 00:49:14 side of it. I think what they've, the way that they've set up, Hal has been wonderful and I think that they play it and we we haven't seen the end of the show it to me seems to me it seems like lethal weapon in that you know it's like one of these things where they're trying to figure it out and they're going to wind up being boys by the by the end of like really like tight I don't think it's a character assassination at all I think a put anybody on a job even if they like it for 40 plus years and most likely you're going to be a little jaded or think you know better than others but we've also seen throughout this show that like has been rarely wrong and he may have been a little bit of an asshole but he's been rarely wrong his gut has been right across so many different things but then also learning from john hey maybe there's some stuff i could stand to learn in the same way that john thought he was holier than now because of how he was raised and even he has been like maybe i don't know everything i think i fucking know it's been actually very well done in what you would expect at a scenario like this right yeah i know i i've i've really sam and i've been watching it and
Starting point is 00:50:17 We've been digging it, and I look forward to it every week. I think it's, to me, so far, the best thing that DC's done. This one guy, I'm just going to say this. If we're going to call people out, this one guy, he's a DC fanatic. He loves it. And I'm good for him. Every fucking time, you have criticism on the stuff that Gunner was doing, this channel, it's a, it's gun, it's against a gun, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:50:45 It's like, stop watching the show. it's going to make your stress go down. Like, yeah, I just go watch something else. I don't understand that. If you don't like something, just beat it. Go somewhere. I said, look, because the idea is, instead of, we're talking about like Superman. And Superman did well, box office wise. It did well.
Starting point is 00:51:04 It didn't do the big huge numbers they hoped Superman would do, but it did well. And enough to where they said, let's do manna tomorrow. And the man of tomorrow could be poised to do very well for a sequel. And I like the direction they're going and all that. And even another commenter in here, too, is normally pretty good about the stuff saying, there's a bias against these, James, what he's doing on this channel. No, it's called paying attention to where the rhythm is right now. The rhythm for DC currently was, all right, we're excited, we're out the gate, Superman, boom.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Okay, did, did okay, did good, did fine. Okay, well, what's next? Supergirl, boom, right into the ground. So then you're like, okay, well, what do you do now? lanterns. All right. Back on track. We got a good, we got a cool, we got a really cool thing here. We got a good vibe. And then it's, well, now we go to manna tomorrow. You're allowed to say, oh, they hit here, they missed here. If you just love everything blindly, you can't be taken seriously. Right, PLD? Where's your acolyte poster?
Starting point is 00:52:09 Wait, where is it? Where's your accolite poster? Hi, bye. Oh, there it is. Where is it? I put it back together, guys. Perfect. No, blank. So, anyway,
Starting point is 00:52:24 but Mike, I know you're a big fan of that. Huge fan. I'll get you a, that's where I get all my news from. Great stories. I'll get your headshot. And by the way,
Starting point is 00:52:33 the guy did, you're going to tweet at me today, don't. I muted you. So just, just complain about me somewhere else. I can't, I just can't deal with it anymore.
Starting point is 00:52:40 So I took it. I told you, and you get bored doing this? Go away. Do you know who this person is? No, it's just the guy that it's like, it's like, but he's, I love that he's a fan. He loves D.C. He loves the gun stuff and he's passionate about it.
Starting point is 00:52:54 And I love that for him. I think it's great. And he, and he's protective over it. He wants it to do well and he wants it to succeed. But you, you don't have the right to tell people if they're having a, a criticism on something. You don't have to agree with the criticism and clearly he doesn't. But you can't tell people that they can't do that. The fuck out of here.
Starting point is 00:53:12 Go somewhere else. And I told the guy, I invited him to say, you know what? I'll have a debate with you on the show about it. Crickets. So, and I don't want to hear about it. I said, I do it. And it, that time has passed. So anyway, now it's time to move on to our last thing here.
Starting point is 00:53:31 And where the hell is? I think I have another. I have one more story we'll get before we get to the questions. And, well, what should we talk about? So, you know, let's do, let's do, we'll do this one instead. We'll do Snyder's escape from New York. Why not? That sounds good.
Starting point is 00:53:52 So here we go. You know, Zach Snyder, he's been doing some promotion. And so now he's talking about his escape from New York. So here we go. He says it is retro futuristic. And still out there promoting his recent film, The Last Photograph, Director of Zach Snyder is talking about other
Starting point is 00:54:18 projects he's been linked to, including the remake of John Carpenter Escape from New York at Warner Bros. Pictures and a new conversation with Josh Harwitz for the SEPI for the happy, sad, confused podcast. Snyder explains how his take on the Carpenter Classic will be set in the same alternate 1997 time period as the original. That's interesting.
Starting point is 00:54:35 The approach is for me. The movie's going to be set 97. It's from the perspective of 81. I set the movie, The War Between the United States Police Force and the criminal elements takes place on 81, which is the release date of the original movie. The rest is pretty much escaped from New York. Thus, we can expect a retro futuristic vibe.
Starting point is 00:54:52 It also says he plans to preserve the original film's mix of tone and social commentary. So talk about a movie, that's the perfect combination of kitchen camp. It's all the things. That's why I love it. But it's also in a way that's satire and it can get to us. We can make comments about government and all the overreach or whatever you want to call it, the People's Liberation Front of America. All that stuff is very, that's in the headlines.
Starting point is 00:55:12 It's quite current in some ways. asked if he has an actor in mind to play Snake Puskin. He says, I may, but then asked if it's an actor he's worked with before he has. I'm not going to say. He does add he better look like Snake or I'll walk out. He also mentions, I think we know who it is. I can guess. I'm like you probably can guess too.
Starting point is 00:55:32 Oh, yeah, I'm about, I was just about to say. He also says that his watchman, Batman, Superman, a Justice star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been lobbying a filmmaker for a part, whether it's Snake or another role. That's who I was going to pick. he literally has been hitting me up he's the best I love him he's great the original film story is set in the future where the US has become a totarian
Starting point is 00:55:49 uh theocratic police police state and the island of Manhattan is now a wald off maximum security prison Mike you love this movie right the original I do that's a great movie yeah I love it I mean hey here's the thing and kind of goes to what we're saying about what loving what you love and
Starting point is 00:56:05 people know that I'm a big fan of of gun and what he's doing DC but I was one of the big Snyder I mean I was a Snyder bro before it was a Snyder thing. Right. Like I, I, 2016, I remember that was a rough year because it was like me against the world online defending Batman versus Superman.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Like, I like Snyder's a filmmaker. But I don't know about Jeffrey Dean Morgan is him. I don't know about that. No, you don't think so? I think it's, I hate and I'm never this guy where it's just like someone's a little too old. Okay. I've never seen Jeffrey Dean Morgan get very physical for a role. Did you ever see Walking Death?
Starting point is 00:56:45 Yeah, but that's not like Snake Pliskin's Soldier of Fortune. Yeah. Like he's swagger man walking around with the bat. Like it always sticks with me to this point. There was a big to do. No one ever said it was him, but there was one of the trainers during watchmen who said, yeah, there was one actor.
Starting point is 00:57:02 He just wouldn't show up to ever work out. So they had to give him a muscle suit. He just didn't care. Right. They never said who it was, but you can watch that movie and you know who wears a muscle suit in that movie. So that's kind of stuck with me And that was what, 20 years ago
Starting point is 00:57:15 So I don't know, man I don't but that's an exciting thing I mean skip from New York You know I think he's a good fit for it too Snifer that's why the people were saying He's a great fit for it Yeah it's a good fit for him
Starting point is 00:57:28 Winston you've never seen the original I'm assuming right I haven't I'm a I am a diehard Metal Gear solid fan and I know right right right right From that into the but I haven't seen the movie itself You know who would be good also, I don't know if this was just suggested in the chat, but the dude from Supernatural and from the boys. What's his name?
Starting point is 00:57:48 Jensen Eccles? Yeah. Eccles would be good. I don't know about that. You know, these are a little grittier snake pliskin? I don't know if I'd view him as gritty. I'm saying, I'm saying by making him, making you, yeah, I know what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Your snake pliskin is gritty, what I meant. And then you turn him in a little bit more way. I don't know who I'd go with. Okay. All right. Well, we'll see it. I'm curious what people think about. it. Put your thoughts in there. Let us know. Are we going to try to get some questions here?
Starting point is 00:58:15 I just told people right now currently, I just checked the trending page and we are at 2,571, 29 away from announcing two competitors. If 29 people here, 530 people watching right now, if 29 people click it, I'm going to give you two more competitors and we'll see Mike start to sweat a little bit more when I tell him who it is. So let's get to the first one. And that's Nathan Drake. Does Jonathan Majors ever get invited back to Marvel after doing this Daily Wire movie? And how would you feel about it? I think he's going to have a cameo in whether it's Dume State or Secret Wars. I think they're going to kill off Kang.
Starting point is 00:58:59 You think so? I think so. I think so. Yeah. I think I think they're going to close the no pun intended. with him being a time traveler. I think they're going to close the loop. I think it'll be one last, like, here it is, and then I think that's probably it. Okay. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:59:18 Mike, you don't think it'll happen? I don't. There's been no rumors about that, no leaked anything. It's true. And Marvel's been pretty bad about keeping leaked secret. So anything that's ever popped up, we've seen in advance. So I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:59:36 I think he is persona non-gross. over at MCU studio. I mean, you might be right, but we'll see. Ron H. It's Friday. Time for Thrustin into media with BBC, Ebony, and Mr. Cook. I thought he offended everyone. Endgame, not ending, it's box office takings.
Starting point is 00:59:50 It's the film's length longer than the BBC. L.O.L. Maybe. It's going to be, I mean, it's, but Titanic was pretty long, too, though. So that's not really a big problem. But I will tell people also, as we're going through these questions, thank you, Ron, for throwing that in there. Obviously, as you always get a started on this Friday. I will do a little, I haven't done one of these,
Starting point is 01:00:07 this week, but I'll do a super show today. So you guys can ask us now that we made our announcement, and now that you heard what Andrews said, and now that we're Tuesday, we're down to the wire here, you guys can ask me whatever you want, doesn't have to be super chat. We'll highlight a PLD. We'll see them in the chat now,
Starting point is 01:00:25 so you can actually start asking them now, and he'll star them, and we'll ask anything that's non-super chat related to the pilot. Are you questions about Wendy? Any questions about Andrew? Any questions about what we're about to get going? on and yeah so we're pumped about it all right paul considine may mr harlough the term our pilot was first used on the show which aired on
Starting point is 01:00:46 um march 4th 2026 is that is that true that's great i have to go i'll go through that one i remember it as it was the first time i left the super chat i'm unsure of the user or time code hey willie is that is that actually april 30th is it april 30th are they are they maybe they got a british count oh oh oh oh oh oh okay okay good. I thought maybe they messed up the March thing. Okay, so thank you, Winston. So yeah, so April 30th is, that makes sense. So we'll have to dive back into that. I did a screenshot of that because I'd like to actually get the footage for that because that's what we've been calling it now. And I mean, even the fact that we're in our website is called our pilot is,
Starting point is 01:01:26 is trending. Our show is trending. Sorry. Paul Considine, our pilot, our Willie. Hey, Willie. Christian Renello. Ronello. Sorry. even iMacs last night and i'm with you on that ending that said the movie was funny and a thrilling ride enjoyed it overall yeah same with me same with me i mean that was another story we didn't get to today but um the reviews have beefed the box office because it's it's tracking and do peelie can you give me the number on what what it's looking to be doing opening weekend i know was from one of the articles um are so i i didn't i didn't have any plans of seeing it like it was good though overall yeah yeah it's it's not i don't think it's one of those movies once i know
Starting point is 01:02:06 you're not a horror guy and I'm not necessarily either. But it's not, it's a, did you ever see Evil Dead 2? No. Okay, so it's more of a horror comedy. But, but not, not in a way that it's like,
Starting point is 01:02:18 hey, like it's like, the guys just, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's not, it's one of the guy,
Starting point is 01:02:28 Austin Abrams from weapons is just so good in it. And it's like the scenarios that he finds himself in. And it's like, It is currently tracking at 80 to 100 million worldwide, and that's going up from the 40 to 60 domestically at this point. It's gone up because the previews did really well on Thursday. Yeah. Look, it's a very entertaining movie. And the opening's awesome.
Starting point is 01:02:50 I just, what I said in my review and what I said in my out of the theater reaction, it's really going to depend if you love the ending or disappointed with the ending, whether or not you love the movie or think it's really good. I think it's a really good movie. I just didn't like the ending. It's so funny how that can happen because that was how I felt about Aaron Piers' Netflix movie, what Rebel Ridge? I thought the movie was fantastic. And then the last like five to ten minutes after like the main fighting scene, I was like, what the fuck is going on?
Starting point is 01:03:23 Right. And that and that can take it's impossible for you to then say at that point, well, the movie stinks. He's like, I was so into it. It's like, it's one. I just knew that if the ending would have been great, I would have said, The movie was great, but I left going, but there's people that are going to see it and love the ending. So I think they're going to come out.
Starting point is 01:03:40 And I think a lot of people have. And that's why it's getting, I still gave it four out of five. I thought it was, I thought it was a really solid movie. He's just, Zach Kruger is just the guy right now. He's just really,
Starting point is 01:03:50 really solid. He makes good movies. It's a short movie too. It's like 1.35, 140. And you feel like you're just on this, this quest, you know? It's like, essentially the stories about this courier, courier who is takes his extra job to go drive up into the mountains to deliver this thing he doesn't
Starting point is 01:04:09 know what the hell it is but he goes and then gets himself into some shit okay and that's it and it's you should you should see it uh i saw uh you know what one of the horror films that i'm into it's a comedy horror film um uh cabin in the woods yeah it's not it's cabin in the woods is a little bit more tongue and cheek where it's like aiming to be but it's that level of like kind of scary comedy. It's got, it's got humor throughout the entire movie, like throughout the entire movie. But in, in, not in a way, again, that it's like, joke, joke, joke, joke. This is supposed to, everybody's supposed to be funny. It's like, no, it's the scenarios. And it's like, it just enlightens the mood. I actually enjoyed it because of that, because, you know, it's like,
Starting point is 01:04:49 someone, someone's standing there, some crazy happens. Like, what the fuck? You know, like that kind of stuff. And he did, he, he, he, Zach Greger has a very good comedic background because I think he did a sketch comedy show, whatever he did beforehand, but you can tell, like, even the thing in weapons, when when Josh Brolin is sleeping, he has that, that dream and he wakes up and he says, what the fuck? It's like, it's like those moments.
Starting point is 01:05:12 It's not, it's not a comedy movie, but that's a comedic moment. I should say there's a lot of comedic moments. I love, did you guys, this movie went pretty fast. Like, I don't think he had it before weapons, right? You got it right around the same time. I think it was right, right after weapons got huge. You're right.
Starting point is 01:05:29 He got it. Like, you're right. That from production, pre-production production to shooting to in theaters. That's incredibly fast. I think that's awesome. How much did it cost to make? Does anyone know? I'm going to guess.
Starting point is 01:05:41 I'm going to, with the cast and everything that says, I'm going to guess I'm going to say $60 to $70 million. That's awesome. If I was going to guess, if I was to guess, I could be wrong. Yeah, man. That's something. That's great. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was lower. Peelty's looking.
Starting point is 01:05:55 But I would say, I would say it's between the. 60 to 80 million range. Okay. Well, then it's made back way over that. Then if they hit what they think, it's going to be. Of course. It's going to be.
Starting point is 01:06:06 God, Pieldy, what do you got? President Needle, 75 to 80 million budget. Yeah. That makes sense. There's going. It felt like that. I'm actually surprised that it's run 80, but because it, but I mean, I guess just, that's just a lower tier now anyway, but you don't really have it.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Paul Walter Hauser is in it. He's, I think he was kind of the biggest name in the movie. Because Austin is getting, bigger, every exact Craigar movie that it would feel just jumped out of the stream. Was he, was Austin the kid?
Starting point is 01:06:34 Was he the junkie in weapons? Yes. Yeah, okay. Oh, man. Yeah, he was great. He's great. And he's great in this. It's funny.
Starting point is 01:06:41 I didn't even know that he was, I didn't watch any trailers, really. I think I watched like the first one. I don't even remember really what was about. I don't know if I did. I can't remember, but I know I didn't want to see anything because I just wanted to go in blind. But wait, but the whole thing is that I didn't realize,
Starting point is 01:06:54 I thought that maybe he had the same kind of role, which is a big role, but I thought he, But he's like, he's like the lead. He's like the guy. Yeah, I think it's going to be interesting this movie because Resident Evil has a huge fan base. And he has been out there saying, hey, man, look, there'd be a lot of people upset with me because I'm not doing what you want or what you think. But I think that that's smart because he's got enough cachet now with his horror, Jar, Barbarians, Weapons, and those Resident Evil movies, I don't know how people love them so much.
Starting point is 01:07:23 Like, they're kind of terrible. I can't even watch them. Yeah. And so I don't know if the fans of those games love those movies or not, or if they're just passionate about the fan base and they're like, why is it, why can't we have Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine, blah, blah, blah. But I'm like,
Starting point is 01:07:40 maybe it's interesting to see if you get a general audience that doesn't know the games, but makes this movie a hit and, you know. I am very curious to see what the fans of the games think. Because I, I wasn't judging it from anything along that line. in the way that I did for Masters, right? There's just to me watching. And like there's the difference as Mike and I have talked to it. Mike and I feel just very different about that movie.
Starting point is 01:08:09 But in Masters, there's humor all over the place. But to me, it just comes at the wrong times. And it disrupts moments. I mean, I'm not, I'm very much kind of in line with you on that humor in that movie. Oh, okay. You just thought the stuff, the cool stuff that worked was just, powerful enough that you like to read. I understood why they were putting the humor in it.
Starting point is 01:08:29 I think if they did about 50% less comedy. I'm with you. Okay, we're on the same page. Yeah. I'm not, and I'm also on the same page with you that the stuff that's cool in that movie is fucking cool. Yeah. Like the fights, like fights are awesome in that movie. Yeah. I think the cast is great in that movie. I think, yeah. I think if it goes
Starting point is 01:08:46 forward with something else, just, just take the comedy and go. Well, then you know what? Maybe maybe the answer to this would be yes, because Smets yesterday was talking about he wants to do a cut of that movie getting rid of like the doping humor and stuff and do like
Starting point is 01:09:01 You know someone did it online already Oh really? It was a while ago I forgot what he called it And he took a lot of the comedy out And I felt bad because he sent the link for free To anyone on Twitter that wanted it
Starting point is 01:09:15 But I was like I can't watch this I don't My only my only question Out of theaters and stuff If Smets wants to do this You'd watch it I'd help him and I'd watch it Oh okay
Starting point is 01:09:25 Here's my only question, you know, because I know y'all both said that the comedy is kind of walkie, though, but I've admitted that, like, I didn't watch Heman growing up and whatnot. So is that not kind of the 80s style that Heman follows similar to like a Thundercats and everything else where it does kind of have that cheeky kind of corny humor? No, but it wasn't, see, people said that, and I couldn't disagree more where it wasn't a joke a minute every single time. Like, there were serious moments in even the 80s cartoon, like the whole thing with Tila and her mom and, and, and, and, and, fun. Like there were emotional moments and then it would be the start. Like there were people as Mike I think rightly says, there's only so much you can
Starting point is 01:10:04 take Fisto or these other characters with these names, mech and neck and things. They may play fun. They have fun with it in the movie. But even in the regular joke they took about five steps too far. Like get at it once. Sure. Like Parloff at the end when they're laughing. You just never let it. They're doing the laugh like
Starting point is 01:10:20 they're doing the cartoon. That's the comedy I want. I like I like that moment and because it fit at the time. Right? Like, yeah. And the moment that I always bring up that I think is just so stupid where they ruin a cool moment is. And what you're saying?
Starting point is 01:10:32 So here's the cheesy, here's the cheesy thing that works. They break out of the cell, the queen music plays and the smoke comes up. That in itself is a cheesy fun moment that fits the tone of what the He-Man series was and everything was. But then they disrupt that moment by everyone coughing on the smoke and go, Oh, yeah, I agree. It should have done that. should have just done the music with them coming out.
Starting point is 01:10:57 Yeah. I get you, man. I don't know how we went down that rabiddle. Aaron Ambrose, 8406, with Vision Quest out soon. And Sam likely reacting to it, will we finally get her reactions to Agatha before that? I'm just, the thing is, it's just that everyone asked me about this Winston about doing Agatha. And I'm just so, first of all, Sadie and I did the majority of them. And if we do it and nobody watches it, it's going to be such a waste of time.
Starting point is 01:11:30 It's going to be such a waste of time. But PLD and everyone says, I got to do it because I guess it's the, it's the, you know, she'll like the series. I honestly think she would love the series. Me too. I agree. I like, I liked the series. Yeah, I thought it was.
Starting point is 01:11:45 I just don't know if anybody's going to be clicking on that. But then again, people clicked and watched season three of the Mandalorian and that, that is complete. And Agatha is way better the show than season three. of Manelorian. That's true. That's true. Agatha was better than season three of Mandalorian.
Starting point is 01:12:06 It was. So, anyway, Peelty is starring your questions right now, guys. Anything about whether it's Wendy O'Brien, it's casting, it's any of these things as far as Andrew Freed, whatever it might be, they don't have to be superchats. He's starring them. so make sure that you throw them in there. Okay, let's see.
Starting point is 01:12:27 Next one. Armada. Could Josh Robert Thompson be in training? I love Josh. I love Josh. 100% in the series in general. I love Josh. I would love to work with him.
Starting point is 01:12:38 I think he's a brilliant dude. I get along with him really well. So I'd love to have him on the show. On Heard Sirens Incorporated, Josh would be awesome. Maybe one of Martinez's former S&L co-stars. I actually have a someone in mind. I don't know if I told this already too,
Starting point is 01:12:53 but I have someone in mind to play an ex-co star of hers in the series in the, when the season happens and it was like basically one of her rivals. And but the difference is because Martinez character took off after season two when she was on the rise and was supposed to be like this major, major star and she followed off to go pursue it and and gambled and gambled poorly as where this person stuck around and hit the jackpot. And so, you know, now when. she's doing a podcast, she's going to have to be forced to interview her.
Starting point is 01:13:27 Because she's got like a real big movie coming out. I remember, I remember that because that wasn't that that was it. I saw that in the pilot. Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Yeah. So, um, unheard sirens incorporated. Oh, we did though. Sorry. Armada 8.T. How much does Mike know about dice guy? You had to have been. Of course. Is it a kid growing up, dice? Huge. Had to have been. He talked about this yesterday. We couldn't find the clip. It's from one, I don't know where it's from, but out of nowhere. He goes, Ray. Oh, no, no. what was it what's the whole thing
Starting point is 01:13:56 dear do a female deer what's what what's that what's that the actual saying Joe a deer all right don't don't don't do it dough a deer a female deer Ray the guy who fucked her ass
Starting point is 01:14:07 ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha it oh he's yeah as a kid you know that was the greatest it was the best we used to listen to it on the beach oh that's a good one
Starting point is 01:14:20 my daughter yesterday my little one laughed so hard we watched this instagram thing and it was like kids her age there's one kid like she's in the middle of a field and a bird flies on her she's like ah she's running i i never heard my daughter laugh as hard as she did she's like falling off the bed at last year that was the funniest thing she ever saw it's hilarious um all right anyway armada a white tis is a great question what does peter falk think of a possible inner geekdom turning uh excuse me there's a, so you're saying that there's 16
Starting point is 01:14:59 competitors, let me see I get this right. There's a, you're the geeked them, that's the geek stuff, right? So let me get there. There's just one more thing that I can't seem to put my head around. So you got this Kevin Smets. You're saying that he beat cancer, but then he came back.
Starting point is 01:15:16 So something's just not adding up here correctly. And I'm confused here. So you can explain it to me. do you think that blade will ever get made i do i do think it'll get made eventually i just think they're probably going to go with a much younger they're going to go with a they're probably going to go with they're nuts you don't think he'll ever get made i think he'll appear in another movie i don't think he's got a solo movie solo movie oh okay i think it'll happen it's just not going to happen anytime
Starting point is 01:15:47 soon that's what that's what i'm saying i think it'll happen eventually um johnny bachizam can mike search your feelings Oh, come on, Mike. Search your feelings. One more tournament. How did you get come on out of C-A-R-N? I don't know. That's what I think.
Starting point is 01:16:02 I mean, that's only- Search your feelings. One more tournament. Come on, Mike, search your feelings. Let me tell you something right now. You know that you're not able to sit back. This is not who you are.
Starting point is 01:16:16 You're not going to sit here and watch people answer the questions. And they go, ah, he won, he won. Because you're going to go, I would have known that. I could have beat them. Oh, my God, if I would have gotten those questions in the space, who was supposed to play? I told me that's who it was. And then I was not there.
Starting point is 01:16:30 I'd be sitting there in the crowd anyway. You'd be sitting there with Shannon and going, I could have gotten that. She said, you should have performed that in your pussy, and you didn't. So, come on, do it. Do it for America, Mike. One more tournament. That's it.
Starting point is 01:16:47 John. There we go. Christ. Oh, John. sorry John Mike don't do the tourney but play the IG match we all want to see Smets KL part four it's Cap versus Bucky for F's sake
Starting point is 01:17:01 you guys love each other but you must battle no questions look at Mike's not saying anything not saying anything Captain Penis is back Captain Penis can you bring please bring back
Starting point is 01:17:13 Patriots Smowdown shirts right now we just it was the Patriots versus um team heroes on the vault. We just aired that and it was the number one contender. And I just watched the Shmodown Spectacular part of the first one.
Starting point is 01:17:28 The first Shmodeon spectacular is underrated. Were you in the crowd for that one, Mike? Because you weren't in the league yet. When did you film it? December of 2000. Oh, no, no. We probably filmed it in like either late October, early November, December, 2016. We filmed, we aired it in December.
Starting point is 01:17:47 You know, there was one, a collider. I don't think I was participating yet. But it was a big deal. There was like a ton of people in the audience. Yeah, was that, was that when, did Ellis dress up as Santa Claus? I don't remember that. Maybe I wasn't there. That was the main event that, that one.
Starting point is 01:18:04 So, but I'm going to air the whole entire spectacular as one massive event. And I'm going to do it. I'm going to do two, two things with the spectacular. I'm going to run it as a live, what was it called a premiere? So people can chime in and talk. It'll be on for about four and a half, five hours. But then I'm going to piece. out each match.
Starting point is 01:18:23 I think there's like a total of six matches. So I'll put each match and then leading into season four. Ioshi Imatsu, Mike always puts his relationship on the line for us. He clearly deserves a raise. Question for Winston. Lock them in a room. Who wins?
Starting point is 01:18:39 Goku? Does that how you say it? That's how you say it? Yeah, Goku. Soups or Omni? Well, I would love to say Goku. And there are some hacks he could use. I think it goes in order, Superman, Goku, Omni Man.
Starting point is 01:18:55 Omni Man is not touching either one of them, if I'm being honest. It's not even remotely close. But, but... Goku, I know nothing about. But after watching Omni Man, I think that's harder to... It's hard to say. He's a beast. He is a beast, but, like, for example, like, because you haven't gotten to...
Starting point is 01:19:10 You're not all the way caught up, but you're moving in that direction. I'm approaching the season finale of three. Okay. So there is a feat you will see that he does in the most recent season, but he needs other people to do it. Superman could do that and Goku could do that with their eyes closed. Okay, got it. All right. Next one.
Starting point is 01:19:28 It's the Doc, Doc. Wow, bro. Mike throwing out Kev's kid calling her his little daughter into this. I've been the one asking. I've been the one asking. And every time you're brought up to him, Smash has been nothing but praising. Hold on a second. Let him finish.
Starting point is 01:19:41 Let him finish. It's the same one. It's Doc Doc. Sounds like you're just scared, Mikey. Just play. His fans will love it. A goat wouldn't sweat him. His four monitors, his kids quiz.
Starting point is 01:19:50 him. Jordan suits up. Oh no, you're dragging him back in. Hold on, but no, I didn't make, like, I didn't make fun of his kid. It's just a dog. No, he's just saying you didn't call it Kura. You didn't call, you didn't, you didn't say her name. But, but, yeah, I mean, look, and then I can even see it now. First of all, we got the promo, like, well, I know what it's like to battle something and then have to fight through it again. Well, that's a question. Who would be the heel?
Starting point is 01:20:16 Hold on, hold on. Who would be the heel? So he'd be doing the cancer. And then he'd come in as like, and now, but this now, I've got her in my corner. And he'd carry his daughter into the fucking ring with him, the belt and his daughter. Like, she's my, she's got me through this. And here she is now. Watch him. And I'm there by myself like, oh, I'm not an asshole. I already have a full idea of what I would do if you guys ever played the whole storyline. I know the whole thing.
Starting point is 01:20:40 Sal. Skiliki, what's up, Sal? After watching Leo Woodall in Tuna and Tony this year, I can now say he should be in the MCU. He should be MCU's Wolverine. he was just fantastic in them. Leo Woodall. Did we bring him up before? I think we did.
Starting point is 01:20:55 Let me say. I don't know this guy rolling up, do I? What was he in? He was, he looks familiar. What was he? What else was he in that I saw? I don't know. I don't know what he's in.
Starting point is 01:21:09 I can't say whether he'd be good or bad. I don't, he looks familiar though. The hell was he in than I would have seen. Who knows? The hell do I know about anything. All right, next one. Armada, 8YT. What ever happened to a small bagel boss guy? You know, I don't know what happened to that guy.
Starting point is 01:21:25 Wait, is that the guy that's like, you think I'm short? Yeah. Oh, my God. Did you see him in person? No, no, no, no, no, no. We used to talk about him quite often on Clyder Live. Oh, my God, that guy was the best. He was the, I mean, he was, he was a lunatic.
Starting point is 01:21:40 Oh, he was a lunatic. Joey Pedrus. This is from Mike's Hal Rant, pure gold. Thank you, Joe. That was, that was, that was fantastic. I don't think I've ever gotten to be here. for an epic Mike Grant. And that was,
Starting point is 01:21:51 that was beautiful to watch in real time. Because what he did is he took everything I felt and turned it up to 11. So that was, that was glory. It was pretty good. Danny O'Malley, Mike is gold on here and on Twitter. I'll give you here. Hartoff loves my Twitter. I despise it.
Starting point is 01:22:06 Jenny lost it to, oh yeah. And speaking of which, what I will say, no, I have been good. I haven't done anything. You have,
Starting point is 01:22:12 but I got to bring this up because. Christ, here we go. I got to bring it up. I said that I'm going to. Hold on a second. Because I want to make sure. that I give this guy a shout out.
Starting point is 01:22:21 Oh, God. Yeah, and where is he? Hold on. Oh, I got to find where the hell it was. Where was it? Shoot. And maybe it's... How does my Twitter, like, give you anxiety angina?
Starting point is 01:22:33 And Rokas doesn't give you a coronary. Because Rokka doesn't usually... What the hell is this? Turn the flash that off, mother of her. So, Rooker is usually what? I want to give a shout out to Caleb Williams on our show, because Caleb was the guy who...
Starting point is 01:22:48 Quarterback? No, he was a, so Caleb was a fan of the old school schmow stuff. He even came to a Met game when he was at a Met game and me and Finstock came to say hello. And he was the one who had heard stuff about the Wonder Woman thing. And he kind of reported on Mike just went off on him because he said, hold on a second. What? And I said on the clip, I said, I don't know Caleb. He could be a good dude.
Starting point is 01:23:15 I'm saying this in general for this type of person. Right. I think you tweeted at him though and you said, you said source. I just said source. I asked source. But he's not going to give you the source. Why would he give you a source? So then anyone could say anything in this world. But you can't give up a source. If you have a source, if I hear something from somebody. And in order for you to take me, you know what? I want Mike to take me seriously. So I'm going to rat out the guy who told me. Come on. But anyway, Caleb's a great guy. He's a really good guy. And then Mike, Mike was cool about it. I call Mike. And I was like, come on take the thing then he's like all right right took it down because Caleb is a good dude and so anyway so Mike Mike's good that way Jenny Lawson 200 Jules ground baking thank you Jenny
Starting point is 01:24:00 live daily 77 I just saw Kevin's post on his six year cancer anniversary I love Stomervity my uncle has colon cancer and Kevin has helped him immensely I mean Kevin has saved a lot of people's lives he really has his videos and even private messages guiding him he's he's really really buddy great in that for sure so um i'm glad that he was able to that that kevin has helped your uncle that's really cool um it's it's it's been it's been big too i was talking to kevin uh the other day we were texting and i was i was just telling him you know my aunt had to deal with both pancreatic
Starting point is 01:24:35 and liver cancer and they gave her like a 15 20 percent chance to make it through either one and so far she's beaten both and i told her about kevin i was like yeah this my buddy he's around my age. He found out X, Y, Z. She was like, okay, well, you tell Kevin he a hero. I'm a fight too. Come on. That's cool. That's really cool.
Starting point is 01:24:58 Yeah, Kevin's the best. I'm glad that your uncle got some help. Aoshi Yamato, will there be an invite to jelly roll for the MTS? If he wants to be in the crowd, sure. Why not? Live Daily 77. It's hard to hear that even after five years in remission, he still has scans in October. I know, hoping everything goes well.
Starting point is 01:25:15 And Mike, the chatter is true. Smets loves you. A reunion match would be so much fun. Hold on one second. Let me read that. Hold on. It's hard to hear for five remissions you can't see in hoping. Yeah. Yeah. But as far as the chatter, look, Mike and Kevin are very close. Yeah, that's the thing. Like, what sucks now is because of all the shit I've said in the show, he's going to text me like, hey, man, we're cool, right? You don't think.
Starting point is 01:25:37 You know, I don't. I like, dude, you know, I'm just, I talk shit. I'm not, I'm having fun. Like, him and I are great. There is no, there is not. single ounce of animosity. No, at all. Or lingering like Shmowdown, oh, you beat me bullshit. You have to admit, though, that a fourth, a fourth fight
Starting point is 01:25:56 would be, would be big. To most people, it would, and I've only beaten him once. He's beating me twice. There's really no, it's, if we were, well, I just say we were two. If we were two and two, it would be different. What I'm saying is a fourth win, a fourth fight with a Mike Kalinowski win,
Starting point is 01:26:12 would set up a fifth one. You see what, and it doesn't fucking end with you. It doesn't fucking end. It doesn't end. He's always going to try and drag you back down. And then what's going to happen? Hey, guys.
Starting point is 01:26:26 Hey, guys, trending did it. We hit record fucking numbers. We're going to do a full season. Mike's going to come in. Mike's coming in. And guess what? We're going to got a storyline where Mike's got a rival. Mike's got a rival on the show.
Starting point is 01:26:37 You can't run two channels to get the pilot going and bring the whole show. I can't do a season. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. You missed my point. Yeah. Not a schmode out. Oh, a trending season.
Starting point is 01:26:48 And you bring me in and I've got a character that's got a rival that's always constantly beating him. I know, I know exactly what I have for you. And I know exactly what I do. Oh, God. I'm my fucking hit my heart. But the sea. But the season, like someone asked, someone actually asked me about a full. I know that's not what you're saying, Mike, but someone actually asked me,
Starting point is 01:27:05 we posted in the movie trivia Shmodon group, like, why don't you do a Kickstarter for a full season of Shmodon? I said, I don't, I don't have the mental. Bandwidth. bandwidth. I don't have, I just, and, and the, the, what you have to raise to do that. But I said to do, I mean, you got to understand, a 16 person tournament would be 15 matches plus a live event. That's a lot. That's a lot. That's a lot. And, you know, it would, it would be an event and we probably do, we would probably do, I would assume, go back to Tuesdays and Fridays to release the tournament, you know, so you'd have a few weeks to lead up into the
Starting point is 01:27:42 finals and then you start promoting like the live event afterwards. too. So you'd be able to really get some juice. But people forget how much hype was around those first two tournaments. And even when the tournament, even when the Schmodeown season was going on, when it was tournament season, people were going nuts during the singles tournaments. Oh, I remember. I remember. I fucking lived it. I know exactly what it was. Yeah, because I couldn't get away from it. It was here in the house. It was every. And then don't you forget, it wasn't just me. It was Shannon and her managing an entire team.
Starting point is 01:28:12 So I always had it here. Everybody. Right. It was everywhere. Right. Alente with 1,000 jewels. Cheers. Thank you, Alentie. Kevo, 1993, 750 Jules football. Thank you, sir. Johnny Patriceza, Wyatt Russell, rumor for Solid Snake is interesting. That is pretty interesting. I think that's two on the head. I don't think he would, I don't think he would do it for that sole fact. All right. It is. I mean, but that would be really funny, though. Yeah. There would be something very funny about it. Because, because did you, did you ever play the Metal Gear Solid game? I know that they are. They are sore enough apart, but did you?
Starting point is 01:28:45 So the whole idea of solid essentially just being a clone of the big boss, that'd be something kind of funny. It was like Gandalfini's kid playing Tony. Yeah, he did that. Beagle Studios, super excited for you, Christian. Thank you, Beagle. Casting director news is awesome. I know.
Starting point is 01:29:00 That was, that was, like, that to me was one of those things where, that's pretty big. It's like a dream thing. You were like, I don't know. What I remember even saying to Roxy at one point, you know, we'd love to get a casting director and say yeah we'd have to do this this and that I'm like yeah and then when I found out that she liked the script she wanted to be part of it I was I was super I was blown away but I want to get her on the live show so we can talk to her about it and stuff
Starting point is 01:29:25 too which she's going to do um but I was yeah I was I was super excited for that when you when you told me a little while ago I was I was like oh shit that's yeah that's huge it's huge and like even even some of the people we have in mind like that's that's the access now is if we can get if we raise them this is what i hope that people understand about this is that all right we fund it now we let's say we over we over and we tell wendy and she goes well you know what would be great for this is this person but i don't know for the budget is like we got the budget go go for them please yeah like she she she can go she's worked with everybody you know so like we can we could do it be gil super excited for you cassing literature is awesome also i'm excited too my
Starting point is 01:30:05 film the protectors new beginnings teaser trailers out today congratulations man that's awesome Yeah. Really cool. I love people, I love, I've been getting a lot of this lately, people sharing like their projects and things that they're doing now. And, and it's cool. It's cool to see that kind of, that wave of creative, what kind of arm banding, you know, it's, it's awesome.
Starting point is 01:30:27 Griffin Shaw Media, Kickstarter video is phenomenal. Well done. By the way, and thank you for bringing that up. And we were talking about Smets. So we had Aaron Wilhelm, my buddy. Aaron started with. the process of getting us into a form of the of the video right and then kevin came in martini worked on it for a bit and then kevin came in and just polished the shit out of it and that was the
Starting point is 01:30:55 final version so kevin really i mean freed and martini everybody just kind of was like holy shit they loved what kevin did so kevin kevin did that for us i want to give smetzi some love for that uh that'll get some donations for sure have a good weekend friends yeah what i was hoping for and Winston, I'm glad you said that, is that what Martini really wanted to showcase was the chemistry. Because the show's based off the camera. If you don't have the chemistry between the two of them, the show doesn't work.
Starting point is 01:31:19 No, a thousand percent. But that was the part that just clicked immediately is both A, I got it because anybody that is following this because of you already knows you. So this got a chance to show off who Martini is for everybody that doesn't know. But I instantly was like, oh, I can see how they were like, there's a point where that chemistry was. was there and now they hate each other but like the chemistry between two you is is spot on dude thank you i mean that's kind of that's that's what we're hoping for and i hope that everybody i mean
Starting point is 01:31:48 i mean that's something i'd like to hear from the audience so again you can tell me in the non-super chat like if if you thought the chemistry was there if you can see what you know you know what it's and you know let me i'll play this one more time than having seen that because i don't do you guys see this i don't know if you guys have seen this that i posted it but one of our fans did this what happens when you're a fresh star comes with your ex. That's the idea behind trending a new half-hour comedy pilot from Christian Harlov and Martini Peritori.
Starting point is 01:32:17 It's about two people reaching midlife at almost exactly the moment their careers stopped working. Harloff plays Danny, a former stand-up comedian whose one successful podcast is becoming irrelevant. Peritory plays Kelly, his ex-wife and former Saturday Night live performer trying to figure out what comes next after her own career falls apart. And now, somehow, these two people. who couldn't make a marriage work have to make a podcast work. That's where the show gets interesting,
Starting point is 01:32:45 because Harloff Imperatoria originally conceived these characters as younger people. When they returned to the script years later, they rewrote Danny and Kelly around their own stage in life. They're older. They have history. And both are confronting this uncomfortable idea that maybe they already had their shot. Kelly is a perfectionist suddenly surrounded by things she can't control. Danny uses humor to protect himself,
Starting point is 01:33:08 even when the people around him desperately need him to take something seriously. Then there's another problem. They're trying to stay relevant in an industry where younger people understand the internet better than they do. Younger employees around them want everything filmed. Behind the scenes footage, social clips, personal moments. Suddenly, Danny and Kelly aren't just trying to rebuild their lives. Their failures can become content. And there's something painfully relatable about that.
Starting point is 01:33:34 Because starting over at 40 or 50 isn't the same as starting at 20. 20, you know what failure feels like now. You know what streams didn't happen. And sometimes you're carrying around an older version of yourself that everyone else still remembers. But Harlov Imperatory don't want trending to be depressing. They describe it as a kind of comedy where the pain is real, but that's exactly where the humor comes from. You watch these people screw up. You get frustrated with them.
Starting point is 01:34:00 You laugh at them. And hopefully you start rooting for them to figure it out. The Kickstarter launches September 22nd, giving Harleff Imperatory a chance to actually make the pilot they've been developing for years because trending is ultimately asking something a lot of people eventually have to ask themselves what if your first act wasn't your only shot how great was that video right i was i thought that was somebody that was working on the show i didn't realize that that was that was just a fan who has taken all the information in that might be right back by but he's taken all the information in and uh and made his own thing and i saw people other people who have been tweeting
Starting point is 01:34:36 stuff out i just saw chance tweet something out i retweeted that and if people tag me on x and you guys are talking about this at all. I'll retweet you for sure. And, and yeah, so I'm curious after you see that if you didn't get, because I just think Joey really gets a good idea and to tell people kind of what the story's about. But after that, and then seeing the video I showed early, I want to know from the audience, if you're catching that vibe from the two of us, from the chemistry of it. Because if you don't buy in the chemistry, you don't buy that these two were married or that they could riff off each other, then it doesn't really work. So I'm curious people thought about it after watching it.
Starting point is 01:35:14 Go pal. Maybe Jack O'Connell for Snake. Cook was scrappy. Jack O'Connell would be good, too. I know it was brought up already, but I still, Brendan, for me.
Starting point is 01:35:27 He's good, too. He's good, too. Yeah. Crap and shits. Why not why I wrestle a snake, Pliskin? Yeah, he does look like his father. Resident Evil was great.
Starting point is 01:35:35 I like the ending. Reminding me of, fair enough. So I think, that's what I'm saying. Mr. I is that if you like the ending, I think people love the move, right?
Starting point is 01:35:47 If you think it was great. And like I said, I thought it was a really good movie. It just didn't dig the ending. But, but Ryan Russell, I'm down for it. I think that'd be cool. Ron H. Watch Resident Evil.
Starting point is 01:35:58 The ending might be somewhat divisive, but did not take away from my over-enjoyment of the film. Lots of cussing. Fook, yeah, yeah, it was, it's a really good movie. I think people are going to enjoy it thoroughly. I guess I'll check it out, man. Because I, I, maybe I'll have time today to go and see it if if if you're if you're recommending it that much you think I'll be I
Starting point is 01:36:16 then I'm like maybe I'll go check yeah it's not it's it's it's a couple like scares jump scares here in it but it's not like oh my god that was terrifying you know like obsession obsession was way scarier than this okay okay okay oh obsession was scared okay then I'll be fine obsession obsession this this is just like you know it's like did you ever watch walking dead I've seen episodes. I didn't really get in this show. There's a lighter version of Walking Dead. Yeah, with comedy.
Starting point is 01:36:44 Lincoln West, never understood the solo movie. Should have to know we won. Agreed. Ron H. Why did I have to choose now to cut back on my cannabis use? Mike's back. Let me get my back. Where's the fish shot?
Starting point is 01:36:57 I thought he was back. No, my. I'm just kidding. So why does trying to be good? It seems difficult. I'm even wearing pants more. Foo. You'll get there.
Starting point is 01:37:05 You'll get there. we're rooting for you Ron H. Go pal. It's crazy how young everyone was in old movies. Kurt was 30 and escaped from New York. Connery was 32 and Dr. No. Most of the young actors today are mid-30s at least. I know it's true.
Starting point is 01:37:19 We were talking about their recently, and they seem so much older. They seem so much older. I guess it depends, though, because remember, Sadie Sink is like in her mid-20s. Zendaya and Tom are both in their mid-20s. Yeah. Like, uh, a Lordy is a little bit on the older side.
Starting point is 01:37:34 I think he's right at like 30 or 31. But like it just, I guess it just depends. We've seen Michael B. Jordan since he was a kid. So there's that. But like the heyday of Creed and all that, that was late 20s, early, early, early 30s. So just depends. Josh Tech's pilot question. Would you consider naming the show?
Starting point is 01:37:52 Our show is trending instead of just trending. I actually like that. It's a little too long, Josh. Well, okay. Hold on. Finish that question first. Sorry. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:38:01 Sorry. Sorry. Don't go back to the last one. Don't go back to the last one. You do that all the time. That's what I'm talking about. We passed it. So our show is trending.
Starting point is 01:38:13 Yeah, it just seems like a longer title. I think the hashtag side of it for the episodes, right? Like the first episode, I think, would be called hashtag trending. And then the next one we called hashtag this, hashtag that. I really dig. So Draven marks. Hey, Christian, if trending is a hit, how many seasons do you plan for? Well, we already have between five to six seasons map.
Starting point is 01:38:35 out. Now, that could be stretched, for sure, or it could be scaled down if needed. But we, we haven't, and depending on how many episodes, but we, we definitely have our arcs that go until at least six seasons, for sure. Mr. I crap and shits, Winston, you get in the street fighter popcorn bucket? It's, it's Giles hair, and you could wear the popcorn bucket on your head. That's incredible. I saw that. And that's really funny. I don't know if I'm going to get it, though. Like, that's, it's funny, but I don't know. something, boom. What did you say?
Starting point is 01:39:07 Didn't I say something? Perfect. Yeah, exactly. You, you, the first, one of the shows you did a little while ago, your mic didn't go out of a sudden you go, perfect.
Starting point is 01:39:14 And I was like, yo, why the fuck did you sound exactly? That's so funny. Oh, you're good. All right, let's see. He says, no comment,
Starting point is 01:39:23 BBC. So Christian isn't talking about Sherlock's pipe? I don't think so. Not today. Aosha Yomatsu, I remember first seeing Austin Abrams and This Is Us. Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:39:32 He was a creepy abusing boyfriend is that true i remember thinking man this dude's good i see him breaking out you're right he's he's gonna he's just has that thing he's got a natural talent about him he's really you know what is he's and i think that's the word is that he's just he just feels real when you're watching him and i and he's funny uh red carpet talk what's up sam well the casting director appear on live stream i would uh i mean ideally yes i'd love to have wendy on and i think we even have been we we had a group text where she said that she would. So I just have, you know, obviously she's a very busy person as well too. So, you know, she's, as I mentioned, an Emmy award winning casting director. And so I would love
Starting point is 01:40:13 to get her on and I think that we will. Um, well, yeah, just a matter of when. Scott F. Horowitz, making the trek from New Jersey on a Thursday, it's Long Island for the comedy show. Awesome. Looking forward to a great time. Got the meet and greet as well. I love that, Scott. Make sure you tell me that it's you when you're there, please. And any of you. anybody else who doesn't know, maybe what Scott is referring to on October 8th, myself, Jen Sturger, and Mark Ellis, reunite for a show in Belmore on Long Island. Kyle Lewis will be hosting. Really excited for it.
Starting point is 01:40:48 So if you're able to come out and see us, please do. Johnny, Patrice. Resident Evil was a good, was good, but it's not Resident Evil. Okay, so that's Johnny, I think was the one I was waiting to hear from. I want the game characters if they're in the second one might change my mind. It's a sticker movie.
Starting point is 01:41:05 Okay, so that, like I said, I don't, Mike, did you play the games? I have played them, yeah. I'm not like, die hard in it, but I know. You don't really care if they change the Lord. No. Okay. So what I liked about Johnny's thing,
Starting point is 01:41:16 there's Johnny acknowledged it's a good movie. And the same way, so the uncharted movie is a perfect example, right? Uncharted to me is a really fun adventure movie. It's a terrible, uncharted movie. Terrible. It's a terrible uncharted movie.
Starting point is 01:41:29 it's a good adventure. It's a well-done adventure. I don't know who those characters are. They're not, it's not uncharted. They should have made that. Something else. Yeah. Something else.
Starting point is 01:41:39 Yeah, the action's good. But I can, in the same way that Johnny is, I can acknowledge that it's a really good movie. It just doesn't seem like it. And maybe that's the way Johnny feels about Resident Evil. Maybe. Dark Smirk question. Is there any actor who had passed that you'd have wanted in your show would have fit perfectly as a character you're written? Well, we haven't had, we haven't reached.
Starting point is 01:41:59 out to anybody yet, really. We had, because, like, we can't make offers to anybody yet, Dark Smirk, because we don't have the budget yet. So, ask me that question in, hopefully, in a month from now, and I hope the answer is no, everybody said yes. But I hope that I can make offers to those people. It's the doc, Doc. I should clarify. I am a Smet's super fan, Mike. I prod just to get you to play. You, Clark, Smets are my absolute favorites. I just want you guys back in action. That's a fair thing to say. Yeah. So Mike, we get an answer for me on Tuesday? I don't know. Come on. You can give us an answer on Tuesday. It can be no, but you can give us an answer on Tuesday. How about that? Captain Pina says, I like green lanterns, but I don't like
Starting point is 01:42:53 how they disrespected the original Green Lantern Hal Jordan. I'm checked out. It's killing off all the OG Star Wars characters in the sequels. Okay, Captain Petus, let me ask you, how is it disrespecting Hal when you've never seen this version of Hal? Like, he's not, if this was Hal in his 20s, and they were doing this kind of grizzled,
Starting point is 01:43:14 I don't give a shit guy, then I could say you're going, okay, this isn't Hal Jordan, but we've never, there's not a comic run where Hal has been like this, so you can't say it's disrespecting the character. Like, he's even said, he said, like, you know, with the first episode,
Starting point is 01:43:28 I don't wear the uniform anymore. It's kind of formality. I don't do it anymore. Like he knows. That's why people are like, oh, his constructs are boring. He's like,
Starting point is 01:43:36 because he knows he doesn't need to make a giant, you know, umbrella to defend something. He just throws up a shield. Like he's beyond it. He knows he's good at what he does. He's still Hal Jordan.
Starting point is 01:43:49 Mike, you know what it reminds me of, to be honest with you? It reminds me of the same Bruce you get and the Dark Knight returns and the idea of old-ass Bruce is like, I'm not playing games no more. I know what I'm doing. I'm like, I'm a whoops mask and I'm going to keep it pushing.
Starting point is 01:44:04 That's a great point. Like Bruce Wayne, we've seen him as a 60, 70 year old guy grizzled. Like, we've seen it. So if they did a take on Bruce Wayne and he's 70s and he's like, you know, all happy and everything's great in his life, then it's like, okay, this isn't really, you know, the Bruce we've seen. But like, we've never seen this dark night returns version of Hal Jordan. So, you know, we can't say disrespect to the character because it's never been done. Right. All right, let's see.
Starting point is 01:44:32 Let's get to the next one. And that's El Baba Yaga. Mike or Jokuluff was amazing. Holy shit. Love was pretty good. I love that picture. Smetzy! You pet your ass, Mike. And she'll be in a little hoodie, too.
Starting point is 01:44:47 Of course. And he says, I'll call you about the He-Man edit. I have ideas, but I know you're the expert. She'd have a smash cancer. hoodie on. My dad wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the Schmodeon. That got it. You'd have to be the ultimate heel.
Starting point is 01:45:05 You'd have to be the ultimate heel in that battle. There's no way, there's no way we can have you. I know she'd come out with like a lollipop. I was like, give me that kid. Yeah. My lollipop. Only one guy has a lollipop on the schmode on stage. It's this guy.
Starting point is 01:45:15 That's right. Captain Penis. Tony is the best movie I've seen this year. People like that movie a lot. Hey, Hoth. Let me ask you something. Oh, here we go. How excited are you for this Rocky movie?
Starting point is 01:45:25 Very. It's one of my most anticipations. for the rest of the year. I hear nothing but praise about this movie. Yeah, to me, it's the, it's, it's the movie that I really am, I cannot wait to see it. I cannot wait. All right, let's go to the next one. Screwface John is here.
Starting point is 01:45:44 Winston, I love you, but it's Goku over Soups. How does Soups even hit, what is it, UI, Ui, UiGo? Ui Goku, Ultra Instinct Goku. What the hell that is? Goku can blow up the sun. What does Superman do with that? What does he do? Here's the thing.
Starting point is 01:45:58 You have to understand. I'm a bigger Goku fan by a million miles, but like my guy, I need you to think about a couple things. First of all, you, I Goku gets smacked around plenty. Like, Blackfrees a one shot at him in that. Also, you act like there's only one son in the universe. Okay, he blows up one son. Superman goes to another son.
Starting point is 01:46:14 Like, I love you, my boy. And I love Goku. But unfortunately, I have had my eyes open that Superman would ultimately win that. There we go. Saul, there he is, the Saul show. For AI, wait, for A, for A, for A, I think to, what, what were you on? Do you have a stroke during this? For A, for A, I think we do guy who doesn't want play Smets, whatever that means,
Starting point is 01:46:42 it sort of seems like he's already thinking about how, for a guy, for a guy I think that doesn't want to play Smets, it sort of seems like he's already thinking about how playing him's going to look an awful lot. I think, let me rewrite that in English. I think he said, and I, and I can, people are like, oh, you're making fun of fans. This is Saul. This is the Saul show. He's that's my boy.
Starting point is 01:47:02 But I think he's saying for a guy who says he doesn't want to play and doesn't want to play Smets, it sort of seems like he's already thinking about how to play him. That's what it all, that's what it looks like to me. It's the best I can make out of that. I'm not even going to try. Yeah. But what do you, but, but, but yeah, Mike, have you been. Look, see, Mike, Mike, what?
Starting point is 01:47:21 No, you know, you're not saying anything. You're not saying nothing. some shit. All right. Dennis F. Hoffman. Saw Red as an Evil. It's a blast, but Christian is right. I love the end, but my wife was like, what the fuck? Aden was going to be a star.
Starting point is 01:47:34 Whalefall looks epic. Good luck on Tuesday's launch. I'm pumped to contribute. Thank you, Dennis. Very kind to you. And appreciate it. And yeah, me and you're right from the same page, man. It's just like, ah, it left going, damn it.
Starting point is 01:47:45 But I really, but I really dug it. And it is, and a blast is a perfect, a perfect word for that movie. It really is. It's a blast. I mean, Winston, I'm very curious to hear what you think about it, too. Okay, I'll let you know. Smets is back, Kev. I mean, Mike, and says,
Starting point is 01:48:02 Keo, we got to do it. It's all the show. We'll have a blast. We get to pretend to be wrestlers without taking any bumps. Ha! Thanks for the love, Winston. I love how he doesn't mention anything about the trivia. That's all character.
Starting point is 01:48:15 Come on. It's fun. I'm going to have my boy. I'm going to have my boy in my corner. we got Penny Barber and Shannon there, so what do you care? Captain Payness. That smile. He went off to a far off lay at the belt on his shoulder.
Starting point is 01:48:33 It was like watching happy, happy killboard. Can you imagine what the scenario would look like if Mike beat Smets for the IG title in a live crowd of over 600 to 1,000 people in the audience, Jen Sturger interviewing, and on each side is Shannon and Penny Barber. Come on. Bro. With the title on his arm. I literally saw him in his own happy Gilmore
Starting point is 01:48:54 like happy place and all that shit So like you see like the one like little person Ride on the horse It's literally just that happens You see yeah Bibiani in the corner even doing like a slow clap for him And he's just got surrounded by his ladies with the belt He's like I told him I could fucking do it
Starting point is 01:49:10 I told him I could do it fuck you Josh Wilding Like I just see the whole thing going down Is Kaiser coming back? Of course Of course asshole in my ear two now? Of course how you're doing that. 100%. Sergio,
Starting point is 01:49:26 Mr. Cook will be in trending. We get the series, if we get the series going, yeah, I'm a big, I mean, how much as Mike and I break each other chops? I think Mike's one of the most talented dudes, especially as far as when it comes to the performances and acting and everything, too. 100%.
Starting point is 01:49:42 So, you got a delivery again? No, I got PLD texting me. What happened at one time you had the delivery? You had to deliver. was they come in, you just like sat him down. Oh, yeah, no, it wasn't delivery. That was, I was, the one time I left, I never leave my front, the door open.
Starting point is 01:49:58 I always have it locked because this used to be like an old law office, right? So like there's a door that people just think, you know, because normal offices just walk in and you go, hey, so and so I lock my door. I didn't lock it that day. So the two Verizon salesmen came in and one of them was Sid the Squid. And they came in and we had a whole thing. We got to clip that out. That's got to be an all-time moment. As I said, it was a great, great clip.
Starting point is 01:50:24 JPT plays. Mike's going to get slapped on trending. I could see Martinez. That'll be the bit. Everyone slaps me. I could see Martini slapping him. Wiley OFC, Winston, I wish you good luck with your Cowboys. Please wish me luck on my chargers.
Starting point is 01:50:36 Also, hi, Mike. I hope you're well, my friend. What a nice thing that was. It was nice, Wiley. Thank you. I appreciate that. I'm, yeah, they're not. Look, the Giants slapping us around us,
Starting point is 01:50:49 pathetic. What is football starting again? It's started already. We're in week two. Winston, I'm speaking of which, I'm very upset with you. What did I do? What did I do? Now I get it.
Starting point is 01:51:01 I get it that, you know, it was a tough loss last week. I get it. But that was a good text that I sent. What did you send me? It was the one when I told everybody who won last week. I didn't. I saw the text, but I didn't. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention to it.
Starting point is 01:51:20 Because you knew you didn't win? Maybe I just didn't pay enough attention. I'll look again. I don't remember what you said. I got to look at how I even. Oh, darted. No,
Starting point is 01:51:30 I didn't just, that's not all I did. I see it now. That's not all I did, though. I see the full text now. And that was good. And PLD was the only person to come in and say that was good. I didn't catch it because I literally,
Starting point is 01:51:43 literally in my brain. Yeah, nobody responded. I think, I think, you know how on Twitter you can mute words? You highlighted giant dart and likely. I think all of those words fully were black in my mind. I didn't even see them.
Starting point is 01:51:56 Just shut you down. Lincoln, I'd love and prefer a K.O. Smets versus Parker Chandrew for the live event. You get more in the show and I always want to see them as a team. Make it happen. Nah. Nah. Not for it.
Starting point is 01:52:10 You got to, that's, that's, that's too. It's, yeah, you got to have, you got to have, you got to have some stakes championship. I'm I think you'd be I think you'd be in the minority if I put a poll up of what would you rather see a kind of meaningless teams match versus the fourth match for the championship in a live event yeah I'm gonna have to go with my instinct on that one Mike Joyce happy Friday and bear down oh nice happy poop five jewels all right so Star Wars squad thanks to the love on the edit oh it's great show is going to be special And I totally do a team up against those villains. Let's have him go. Sue it up, Mike. Yeah, I mean, who knows maybe eventually? Maybe that's maybe, maybe that's what the,
Starting point is 01:52:54 what the next live event will be after that. But I'm going to, you know, I want to show Kevin's video one more time before we, before we go and we'll finish up. So I want to, I want to show people here it is. Hey, guys, my name's Christian Harloff, and I'm going to be running a Kickstarter for a 30-minute comedy called Friendly. I play Danny Lyons,
Starting point is 01:53:14 he's a comedian, next podcaster, and he has to do show with his ex-wife who's played by... What are you doing? Selling the show. That's not selling anything. Okay. Hey, everybody. I'm Christian Harloff.
Starting point is 01:53:28 Hey, everybody. I'm doing great. We're putting together a Kickstarter for 30 million. You do it less serious and tell them about... We're doing a Kickstarter and we're gonna make a show. My name is Christian Harloff. This is Martini Perritory. We're doing a show called Trending. And you want to tell them?
Starting point is 01:53:47 what it's about. Yeah, I forget. You can't what the stories? You wrote it. Can you please tell the good people what this is about? It's about two exes that hate each other who have to host a podcast team.
Starting point is 01:53:58 And they have to survive each other through the craziness and their careers are in the dumps. And they're surviving midlife and reinventing themselves and they have a whole ensemble around them. What about the team? We have a really great team and her and I are very proud of the team that we have.
Starting point is 01:54:11 Tell them about it. Okay. We have Andrew Free, who is an Emmy Award-winning producer, director and Wendy O'Brien, who is a fabulous casting director. You may have known her from... It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Abbott Elementary.
Starting point is 01:54:24 Tulsa King. Lots of great stuff. But why are we doing a Kickstarter? Tell me. Because we think that you guys are going to get what we're trying to do. We're going to give you from the grassroots to figure out how do we make this show. However... We're on a telethon.
Starting point is 01:54:37 However, we hope to raise more... Hello? Oh, yes, yes. We got a taker. $500? What? Your grandmother wants to donate $1,000? That's great.
Starting point is 01:54:46 Hello. Oh, you got a call. What do you do? What are you going to do? What are you going to go? What are you going to do? We're going to give you the process from start to finish. You can be in the meetings with the director, the meetings with the casting director.
Starting point is 01:55:00 You're going to do so much and be there to see how a pilot is made. You get Dailies. You get a learn how to teach T-show. You get a new car. You can drive Christian in a second. You can teach Martini French. Bonjour. Please teach Martini French. You can watch cartoons in, um, you can watch cartoons in, um, you can watch cartoons.
Starting point is 01:55:14 in German. Nine. If you donate to this campaign, you can critique Martini's life decisions. I'd take that for $100. So, help us back this project today. Click that link. How can you deny these things?
Starting point is 01:55:29 Make it happen and watch this. Come to life. It's trending. What are you doing? Kick it. I'm starting. I'm raising the money. You're raising the money?
Starting point is 01:55:41 You just lost this money. Bye. Oh, my God. You can't even. can't even go all the way low. Again, thank you to Smetsey for putting that together. It's such a great job. And we are currently, guys, if you aren't, weren't already following us, I'm trying to, I would love to give these two competitors to, you know what, we're, I'll tell you what, I'll make you a deal. We're at 2,576 right now. If we get to 2,580,
Starting point is 01:56:17 I'll give you the two competitors that I was going to announce. I'll give you two. You just need to sign up right now, get notified. And here we go. Ready? And then I'll do it. I'll give you to it. And then we'll get a reaction from Mike and Winston about these two competitors. Okay.
Starting point is 01:56:37 Let's see. Next one. Go pal. Zendaya and Tom are both 30. We old. It's true. Sam. Just turned 30.
Starting point is 01:56:47 Yeah. Red carpet talk. I will have at least three to five questions for the casting director if she appears in a live show. sure you should you have more than that and you should i hope everybody has and the next time you know entry's online too should bombard him too umich man seven awesome news about the casting director having two emmy winners join the show brings more credibility from the outsider there others with similar similar credentials that are in talks or on board there is one of their potential person potentially crew wise uh and and another person that are not in yet but if they were it
Starting point is 01:57:18 be great. Yeah. Rich T. 8, 7, 9. Christian, you gave them a permission structure in this community. You being open about trying your project makes it easier for everyone else to be vulnerable about their projects. Well, that's nice. And I'm glad that they could feel that way. And I, well, that's the whole point of it being our project in our community, right? We want everybody to be able to do that. So 100%. Greenie from Oz, got any idea how you do a trailer, how you do a trailer for pilots? It would have to be a whole season. Um, I think depending on how, what you're doing with it, you could do a trailer for the pilot. to show what's upcoming and the potential behind it.
Starting point is 01:57:51 So I think that's going to be after we get the footage and after we shoot it, then you can start talking about that. But that's, look, it's going to be a great thing to have. Imagine, you know, Winston, I've been saying that I've been using the guild as the example. Like what the guilt did is just extraordinary. Like the fact that they were trying to raise 1.5 and they raised them with, I mean, they're still raising money. They were, they're almost, if they're not at seven, they were very close to $7 million.
Starting point is 01:58:14 Right. And if we pulled off some kind of major miracle where we could fund the whole. series, you know, or the whole season, rather, and do the whole season. And then that would be a lot easier to ship. But we're not aiming for that. We're aiming for that. We're aiming for because we feel like that's realistic and that's what we can do. But I feel like we'll cut a pilot out of whatever we shoot.
Starting point is 01:58:36 Yeah, Ron H. Go pal. I'm turning to dust. Need lotion. Be careful. Thanos, be careful. Princess positive is it's always sunny in Philadelphia too long. Oh, all right.
Starting point is 01:58:48 All right, all right, all right, all right. As long as people are watching it, I don't think so. I see your point. I see it pretty, because I said before that our show is trending is it was too long. Well, you're muted, Mike, as much as I'd like playing. Sorry. No, I got you saying. Yeah, the name.
Starting point is 01:59:05 I get you. Yeah, I don't know. It's positive. Okay. Point take. Future's like guys to mention, Goku beats regular Superman to tie Superman one million. What the hell is that mean? They're talking about the different forms.
Starting point is 01:59:18 of the two of them. I mean, again, it depends. But then Goku, you're, you are now throwing all of Goku's forms into a, see, this is a whole, I can do a whole show on this. And, and, and, and, I, I've, I've, clearly, Christian's like, what the f is going on? Yeah. It's it. Hold on. I'm done. Shand some, um, he can't be, gung-a-h-k-k-k-k-k-a-oh-all-all-at-all-all-all-a-old. All right, let's say, so, Armada, you promoting trending on double toast it i'm going to reach out to Corey i'm going to i'm actually going to start reaching out to all the peeps um today to to start a lockdown now that i'm you know moving forward with it i wanted something else to potentially happen but i don't know if it is so i'm just
Starting point is 01:59:59 going to start reaching out of people now uh go pal i crumbled to dust the day i photocopied the new hires i did with her paperwork and she was born the year i graduated high school that was seven years ago that's what i think step was born in around the same time i was in well i was in college yeah um dark smirk passed away i should have said any dead actor in their prime you would have wanted for your show would they fit any specific characters i mean i'm sure i mean if we're gonna go fantasy world and i would so you guys have both read it so like robin williams is vince would have been amazing right yeah yeah yeah yeah but you know has anything changed just the last time i read it uh maybe a couple of you guys locked in maybe a couple jokes here and there but like
Starting point is 02:00:45 but for the most part, the story itself is what you read. Yeah. Mostly Wizard. If Nick Cage during the cast of trending, what role would he have or would he play himself? He could do both. He could play Vince and he could easily do, and he could play himself for sure.
Starting point is 02:01:01 But I would want, I think he'd probably have to have Nick Cage is coming to how we're going to interview him and they have to try to figure out together how they're going to interview him. Yeah. There he is, DJ. This house is perfect casting in this timeline right before Parallax for how long he's been doing it. But this is the same DCEU, same problem DCEU had with Batman. We are meeting them after their prime and some DC fans aren't digging that. I think that's a good point all the way.
Starting point is 02:01:25 I mean, I get Derek's point. And Derek, I think you have to understand John Stewart was always going to be the lantern of the DCU, like the main lantern. So he wasn't going to be Hal. So this is the way we get both of them. I get what you're saying. I do. I get it. And now I think everyone is now seeing how much they love Kyle Chana. They're like, we want more of him we want more of him so I don't know man yeah yeah um okay so what did I say said two to two so did we get four more 270 270 I don't know what I say 25 70 or did I say 25 25 70 is that what I said
Starting point is 02:02:04 I thought they needed like four well we're 2576 now so yeah we hit it then all right I'll give it to you anyway I'll give it to you so the two people that are going to be committed. Already asked them, they said yes, right away. You got a champion and another champion. Oh, Christ. Oh, I know exactly who this is. Two champions, two former singles champions.
Starting point is 02:02:33 One was a dominant champion who debuted, annihilating, going undefeated, and winning the championship. And the other was the first female champion of all time. There it is. Collins and Marisol McKee are confirmed to be in the tournament. Both the married Marritte and Adam Collins are going to be playing in the tournament, and it is going to be a blast. So there you go.
Starting point is 02:03:05 Marisol, the first ever female singles champion, Mike's former faction, together. So Lady Justice making her return as well as Adam Collins and man, oh man, they make the tournament interesting. So Mike,
Starting point is 02:03:25 more killers. And I did not tell Mike about those two when I said who else do we have committed to it. You weren't even referring to those people that I didn't. No, I wasn't. Yeah. I have other people I haven't announced yet too that it's going to be pretty interesting. So so right now confirmed Roka
Starting point is 02:03:40 Chris Carr, Bibiani, Merle, Adam Collins, Marisol McKee, with a waiting answer from Mike Kalanowski. So aside from Chris Carr,
Starting point is 02:03:56 that's all single champions in there. And me. I literally was going to say this same thing. Well, you fucking asshole. We got more in there. Fucking asshole. He's not a
Starting point is 02:04:07 two, like champion in two different motherfucking division. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. We had this one person that had a good run once and almost became champion. I'll be, I'll be, I'll be, no, stop it. I'll beat you up even more. You were the first guy ever to almost have three belts at the same time.
Starting point is 02:04:21 You're a multi-teams champion. You're a three, three-time inner geekdom champion. You're the only guy to ever defend the inner geekdom championship three times. I don't feel sorry for you that you're not the one guy that didn't have a single championship. It's not like, like, hey, remember that one guy where everyone really like the fans wanted to get behind him, but he just couldn't get any questions right. We're bringing him back for the tournament because we're going to give him a shot to get some questions right.
Starting point is 02:04:44 No, here's this murderer's row of the most incredible knowledge savants in the schmodeown. And Mike's going to come in with his jokes. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Here comes Mike. Let's slap him on camera because that'll be funny too. Ha ha ha ha.
Starting point is 02:05:00 Christ. Mike just don't, Mike just don't got it no more. He's apparently Micah has been. He's admitted it himself, man. He's stirred. Mike said he won't. do it. Adam and Marisol, to this day, in the four years since we've not done the Shmodown, have lived movies. They have a podcast with movies together. That's what they fucking do for their
Starting point is 02:05:19 lives. Me, I don't even remember that it was Oscar Isaac is Star Wars. He was, he played Star Wars. I didn't remember what character he fucking played. He was. He was the Star Wars. Listen, you haven't committed yet. What are you, what are you pitching about? That's right. I haven't. You haven't. You haven't. It's really looking ugly. It's really looking ugly. All right. All right. Anyway, let's go here. Rodney, Labored, might be a stupid question, but where can someone watch a Kickstarter video? It's not stupid. It's a really good question. The first answer is it will be, if it's not already, it's going to be on the Kickstarter page momentarily, so you'll be able to watch it there. And I'm also going to start posting it on my social accounts
Starting point is 02:06:00 when this episode is over. So yes. Sam, could the episode titles follow a format kind of like friend does? the one where with maybe the episode titles could be Our Show is. That might be a little tougher to do the Our Show is. That's why the hashtag was kind of like the idea behind that. The hashtag's good. Yeah. So that's kind of, I think the hashtag is kind of around that friend's idea.
Starting point is 02:06:22 But yes, Sam, you're on the right page. Rich T. 8796. Mike, will you dress up in the Mr. Cook outfit for trending for the stream on Tuesday? I don't have that anymore. That was like a rented costume, man.
Starting point is 02:06:34 What have you held? What have you held onto that thing? And you're like, yeah. So that's really, really good, really good. You have offended me for the very last time, Mr. Cook. You really have. You know, the best, though, part about that whole thing is when the guy gets hit and he goes, that's the best.
Starting point is 02:06:55 That's the best. All right. Mike in his happy place. There you go. Look at that. Mike. Johnny and Patrice. I am Jack's.
Starting point is 02:07:04 Capital when funded, any plans for behind the scenes making of content? Yes, 1,000%. So I think one of the stretch goals. will eventually be, you know, I know, freed and, and I'm mad at me for saying this. I think one of the stretch goals,
Starting point is 02:07:17 should we fund fast and down the line is because boardwalk, that's what they do. Welcome to Wrexham and, and all these things. If we can get, if we over fund, then we can put something towards like a full on, you know,
Starting point is 02:07:29 documentary. But the behind-the-scenes stuff is also included in tiers, like that you'll get access to things. That's what we're talking about in that video, but to an additional piece. That's what we're talking about. Ryan S. That picture that he's gotten there is me, by the way.
Starting point is 02:07:45 And not only is that me, that's me doing the DX socket laying down so I knew that it was me. Yeah, that's from a movie called Point of Origin. I was waiting to see you as another burn victim in the latest lanterns episode next to Stewart. Who acted there seems better. Come on, I'm pretty, I look pretty good there. It was good. I was trying to get my sag card back then. It didn't work.
Starting point is 02:08:06 Okay. It was really good. That's hilarious. Armada, A-Y-T, will Spider-Man go, will Spider-Man-Spider in Secret Wars? That's a Winston question. Why am I, my question, I guess? No, because I still think they're going to end up bringing in the black suit. I don't, I don't necessarily, I think he's going to have it under control,
Starting point is 02:08:24 but I think maybe the black suit probably praise on the more aggressive side of him to pull, but no, I don't, I don't know. I think, yeah, the tiptoeing they did in Brand New Day was about all you're ever going to see about that mutation stuff. Fair enough. Ron H. AI sluzz, it's okay, man, be you the best. So you're still you're still saying
Starting point is 02:08:44 that that was on Penny's page that day, right? Not her page. It was because either she because of I, I'm not even dealing with this. I got her shit. Shit comes up randomly. I got her suck it off, her boyfriend and the park.
Starting point is 02:09:03 This shit anymore. I gave you fuckers, Penny Barber and this is the shit I get. I gave you clowns, you gooners, Penny Barber, twice now on Harloff's show. And this is the shit I get. Fuck you. Let me ask you guys this.
Starting point is 02:09:19 Who does Roxy bring to the show? Who does Roxy bring in? Who does Chris Carr bring into the show? Roka, the hot mic. Who does he bring into the show? Nobody. That's what I did. You ungrateful fox.
Starting point is 02:09:35 Harlow, if you know that question you asked me on the, you text me this morning? I don't know if I could do it. But what is it? Be nice for you. enough I can do it. You know, you can do it. You bring me, you bring the asshole out, you Marlop. You bring the asshole out on me. Oh, that was awesome.
Starting point is 02:09:50 Yeah, Roxy. There's Roxy brought Cape Beckinsale to the show. Didn't think so. God damn. All she does is talk about how Kate Beckinsale's awesome to her. Doesn't you bring her to show? No. I like to see Kate Beckinsale on the show. Oh, absolutely. That murdered me. I don't know if it was as good as the enemy was, but the other thing I absolutely,
Starting point is 02:10:10 do I still have it? No, what now? This one. Like, hey, guys, I'm a scarecter with Universal Studios Hollywood, and I'm going to show you my day of getting ready. Got to pack my long johns because it's going to be rainy out here. And I've got my protein bars because I won't have time for a break. Here I am zipping up my suitcase.
Starting point is 02:10:26 Follow me into work now, everybody. Hey, guys, look at me. I just tried Chick-fil-A's new waffle sandwich. I'm in my car. This thing looks delicious. Let me eat this. Oh, God, I'm getting syrup all over me. That thing is spicy.
Starting point is 02:10:38 What are we fucking doing? What are we doing in life? I have an answer. I'm getting all the sauce. First of all that thing is spicy. The Long John's and all that. Oh, killed me.
Starting point is 02:10:53 All right. Oh, God. Roman. Delveen, who is the makeup artist for the show? Your eyebrows needs some trimming. How dare you? Wow. I don't tell my wife that because I get to tell my,
Starting point is 02:11:04 she'll do my wife will do my eyebrows for me. So we're, again, nothing, nothing has been decided yet as far as crew outside of the ones that we've already told you. Armada, 8YT, my dream shmowdown, Mike walkout is to a custom David B Creed PJ song with Mike singing, he-haul in it with Penny and Shannon. It's hilarious.
Starting point is 02:11:22 How about a heart of hair. It's hilarious. Yoshimitsu, love this promo. Please tell me it is available standalone on YouTube. That is exactly what I want to share with my friends to get them interested. You know, I will. I'll post it. I'll post it as its own on YouTube. I'll post it on Twitter, on Facebook.
Starting point is 02:11:40 You'll have all that. for sure. So it'll be, and I think, let me double check. I'm going to check the account right now and just double check and see if it's on there yet. It's not on there yet, but Craig's working on it. So it'll be on that page pretty soon. No, too. You can share it there as well. When is the Kickstarter active, says Captain Penes on Tuesday. We start the live stream and I got to get Luke to make a, to make a thumbnail for the live stream with a lot of, it's like special guests. We're going to do something kind of epic for it. And it starts at 10 a.m. East Coast time. And the Kickstarter is,
Starting point is 02:12:11 itself will go live at 10.30. We'll do it live during the stream. Saul, Wendy O'Brien, she did the cast for Tulsa King. She did for one, one season, I believe. So we have a precedent of casting pro wrestlers already. I forget, who's the pro wrestler in Tulsa King? Did I forget?
Starting point is 02:12:28 Do you know the pro wrestler in Tulsa King? I didn't watch it yet. I got it. Google it real fast. Armada, was that the clip of Mike talking about syrup? Oh, what was that clip? That was the one that I just played. The one I just played? Yeah, that was the one. Cooley, hi. Mike.
Starting point is 02:12:41 Ashflow Walden. I don't know. Cooley, hi. Mike, thanks for the congratulations of my book. Christian, thanks for the shout-out. We'll be supporting the Kickstarter for sure. Be easy. He just sent me his book. And when I get it, I'm going to show the audience, too. He's one of my favorite humans in the world.
Starting point is 02:12:55 He's pretty great. I love him. He's one of the best. He's super supportive. He sends me IG messages all the time. Every time I see it, I just get a smile on my face because I feel like, okay, I get that positivity in my life right now. I like good he gives me to stay easy.
Starting point is 02:13:09 He's just a good dude. He's just a good. I know, man. Yeah, it's the doc, doc. Yeah, no team up. Let the brothers battle. It'll be epic. Imagine the atmosphere in that building when they go to their toe to.
Starting point is 02:13:19 100%. Goosepumps thinking about it. Yeah, there's no, the problem with the team thing is there's no season to build it up. You don't need a season to build up Kalinowski and Smets 4. You don't need it. Joseph Ashley, are there any young actresses or actors that make your characters feel obsolete? Yeah, definitely. 100%.
Starting point is 02:13:37 Avernathy. You could be a day or two sponsor of multiple. podcast and have them play the Kickstarter commercial. You could be a day or two sponsor, Malsals and have them play. What do you mean there, Abedath? Do you get what do you mean, sir? You would be the sponsor for somebody else. Like you can put your video on, like you have cash app.
Starting point is 02:13:55 They would have trending and play the video. Oh, yeah, I know. I mean, I just, I don't have that kind of budget to do that to go. And, you know, right now, that's again, we don't have it yet. Maybe if we, maybe if you overperform, we could do that. Dark Smirk. seeing now see knowing ruby's got to understand that video that we put together i won cheap to put together we had to put that together we had to get people to shoot that we had to get people
Starting point is 02:14:22 to edit that we get a photographer in there we get editor we do all this stuff so uh see knowing robin could fit a character really piques my interest see knowing robin could oh i see you i'm seeing sold in the show that kickstarter trailer really gets me hype that's that's what we wanted to hear good I'm glad. Yeah, he definitely could. I mean, 100% he would have nailed that role. But there's someone in particular that I definitely have in mind for that character I just mentioned. But I just, what I don't want to say is, oh, I have this person in mind. And that person isn't able to do it.
Starting point is 02:14:52 You know, then it's like, well, wait a minute. Riot S. Mike, stop playing. So good. Got to flop him. hilarious. Nathan Drake, Wyatt Russell should be Snake. He was a badass, an overlord. He would pull it off, put some long hair on him.
Starting point is 02:15:05 I agree with you. Or like The Overlord. That was a good movie. Kevin, I can watch Mike go on MTS Rants Forever. I'm dying. That's so good. Red carpet talk. Mike is saying all this is if there aren't people like me who view him as the best.
Starting point is 02:15:19 See? She thinks she was the best. I appreciate that. Yeah, Ryan S. I need a Mike training montage. She's done those before and they were great. There was one of my favorite promos that Mike ever did was during the pandemic season. And it was this cool like Indiana Jones thing that he did that I had no.
Starting point is 02:15:36 I actually had no input on this. He shot this to me. He said, use this if you like it. Tell me what you think. And I loved it. It was like the way he lit himself like he was going back. And you were the champ at the point at the time. Yeah, it was pulling out the old IG study books from the garage.
Starting point is 02:15:50 Yeah. And then you like lit up the belt. Yeah. Yeah, it was awesome. That was awesome. Okay, let's say. Sam, so would the pilot episode title be something like hashtag our show is trending or hashtag pilot? It would either be hashtag trending or hashtag our show is trend.
Starting point is 02:16:05 Yeah, 100%. Epic, happy, or Jeffrey. Happy Friday, y'all. Happy Friday to you. Ron H. Mike, I love you, man. The other's no idea, but I do. There you go. Kevin. Legendary rant.
Starting point is 02:16:20 Shorts are coming. They have to. Where do you think Schmo down 16? Wait, what are the shorts? What shorts? He's basically going to make a whole bunch of shorts of what you just, what you just did. Clip outs. Do you see on YouTube shorts or IG or, yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:32 100%. That was one of your epic rants. I mean, it has to be. Joseph Bachel, where do you think Shmodeon 16 of the finale will take place? L.A. or Vegas? It goes back to the same question about funded and stuff, too. What kind of assets do we have to make a live event in Vegas happen, you know? So imagine if Kalanowski finally did the shower stream on that super long stream on Tuesday,
Starting point is 02:16:55 Asel. And it still owes that to you guys. Mike, you like that Sweeney sports ad? Let me tell you something, dude. So I watched that. I didn't even realize for a second that her feet were up holding a soccer ball. I didn't even see the soccer ball. It's like she is something else.
Starting point is 02:17:13 Shannon and I got into it a little bit about her. Oh, yeah? Because you like, no, she's kind of like, you know, Shannon's a supporter of women. She'll never knock a woman, but she's like, well, it's kind of all she is. One trick pony. I was like, so what? She knows what she's doing? So what?
Starting point is 02:17:30 She's not trying to be anything else. My only, my only pushback is that I feel like she did. did want to try that. That's why she did Christy. And she's really good, not. Yeah. She was, but I think I can understand some people then being like, what are you doing? Are you actually trying to put your, like, beyond just selling the sex or you just want to sell the sex?
Starting point is 02:17:50 Like, what, make a decision. All right. Last two for now. Oh, no, three for now. Rich T. I guess that's another question. If the Kickstarter does overperform, would you use some of the extra money to add stuff to the tiers, like the sponsoring idea? I mean, there's always options for it. depends on, remember though, too, like, and even overperforming, depending on how much we overperform, a lot of that stuff could go to cast, it can go to crew, it can go to some of the stuff,
Starting point is 02:18:14 some of the tiers that we're offering. It's like, because some of the things that we're offering, if people go for it, we're going to have to pay for that stuff too, because you'll see some of the things we're offering is pretty, pretty great. So it just depends on what the overperforming number looks like. But we'll keep you guys informed on all that stuff. Joseph Ashley, well, the guest you had years ago that does, that does Robin Williams make an appearance or the guy that does Morgan Freeman.
Starting point is 02:18:34 So that's Josh Robert Thompson and Jamie Costa. I could definitely reach out to both of them. I love both of those guys. Brian S. Last one. Will guest appearances be scheduled for certain times on Tuesday so people do to know to tune in throughout the live stream? I mean, yeah, I have it kind of planned out.
Starting point is 02:18:47 Pieldy, do you think should we give a bit of a brief ideas to people know who's coming on unless it's- I think it's smart. I think it's smart. All right. I'll tell people what our schedule is right now, subject to change. So right now, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. is myself and Craig, and at 1030, the Kickstarter goes live.
Starting point is 02:19:07 So you don't want to miss that. That's going to be the big thing that launches. 11 to 12, and again, this is East Coast time. 11 to 12, Mark Ellis and a special guest will be on the show. 12 to 2, Roxy and Mike from 12 to 2. 2 to 3. I am announcing a competitor for Schmodown, and that person will be on with me from 2 to 3.
Starting point is 02:19:31 From three to four, Dan Merle will be on. From four to five, Greg Alba will be on. From five to five 30, P.L.D. and I will be kind of going, maybe we'll bring on other people, we'll be kind of shooting the shit and stuff. But from 530 to 630, Martini and Fried will be on. And then we'll probably close it up with one guest at the end. So that's kind of, that's the idea at the moment. So, yeah, I think we have a pretty good schedule so far.
Starting point is 02:20:05 I don't know what you guys think about it, but it's pretty good. And I think I'm probably going to have Roca jump on for the Merle part too. All right. I'm going to stick around. Let me get the last super chat and I'll let you guys go because you've been on for longer than you should have. Ron H, needed these laughs a lot. Thanks to all of you. Yeah, thank you to both you guys.
Starting point is 02:20:22 Winston, where can they find you in? First of all, guys, I'm going to stick around and answer all your questions. So keep firing them in there. me and PLD will do a super show afterwards. Okay, let's bring up Winston and let him tell you where you can find. Yep, you can find me at the swaggy blurr on all platforms,
Starting point is 02:20:38 man. I've been doing more comedy back on my stuff again, so check that out for sure. I guess I'm going to see Resident Evil this weekend, so I'll put out a reaction, out of the theater reaction, review to that in a little bit. Tuesdays, spill a tequila, myself and John Roker. Wednesdays, myself and Jay Washington blurt's in the hood.
Starting point is 02:20:56 And I think, That is everything right now. All right. Let's bring this back up here to Mike. Yeah. Where can I find you? On social media, Twitter. I guess I got a lot I got to think about in the next few days.
Starting point is 02:21:11 A lot of the thing about because this is what PLDD and I hope for this. Because I'm going to say, Mike, I have two questions for it. But the first, the most important one is, are you? When is this? What are you doing right now? Tuesday. I'm just saying this is what I hope this. I'm hoping that this is what we hear on Tuesday when I say, Mike.
Starting point is 02:21:32 But wait, you asked me two questions earlier. Are you going to announce those both right now? No, just a moment. Just a one. The first question is, are you going to be in the 16-person tournament, to which Mike Kalinowski will say. Yes or no! Yes!
Starting point is 02:21:52 That's it. We'll see. We'll find out on Tuesday during that time. So you got a lot of time here, guys. So thank you for being here. Thanks to Mike. And, guys, thank you, honestly. for sticking around for as long as you did. I appreciate it.
Starting point is 02:22:03 Of course, man. One hundred four. Two questions. Got a shot. I'll let you guys on Sunday. 102 questions? Oh. You know, it's better than 1002. 117? Yeah, 117. So it might be more because I'm going to stick around for a little bit. All right. All right. Thank you guys. Thanks to Mike and Winston.
Starting point is 02:22:19 That meant a lot to me that they stuck around. I'm going to be, now that with all that information and everything out there, guys, I still want to hear from you, like Sam and Mike and everybody out here who's got normal questions about, you know, all the time. about these things now with all the news. Let me know as we're three, four days away from launching this thing. Okay. Oshy, just reminder, you can make your whole pledge for the Kickstarter on day one, even if you don't have the money.
Starting point is 02:22:44 Kickstarter takes your donation. Once the Kickstarter ends, we need to reach that goal day one. 100%. The day one is like the most important. Day one is the most important. It is the thing that will fire you through the Kickstarter algorithm and let more people know about what you're doing. It'll gather whether or not it looks like a,
Starting point is 02:23:01 it's going to be a success. It'll push it towards more people seeing it. So yeah. A. So what if every X amount of dollars are reached on a campaign on the Tuesday live show? Mike comes in for an impromptu karaoke session of some random famous song that he ha. If we hit our goal, if we hit if we hit the, you know, well, first of all, if we remember the two goals, right? The first goal is going to be, um, it's going to be 200K. And basically what the 200K is going to do is the 200K is going to say, well, we can make a show. And remember, you're taking consideration. racing the Kickstarter goal and what we got to pay Craig for managing in and other fees and other things too. So it would be a very bare bones pilot and we'd have to figure out ways, you know, you're not going to go and get high, you know, super.
Starting point is 02:23:44 Wendy's going to not be able to go out to certain people that we might be able to go to if we over. Now, if we overperform and we're, but to go back to that at 200, we make a show. We make it one way or another. We make a show. We promise that if we hit a goal, we're making a show. but if we overperform and we overperform and like I said I've always been saying if we get 13,000 people to put in 25 bucks on um for the whole campaign we make the show at the budget that boardwalk kind of pushed out.
Starting point is 02:24:10 If we do that, we do that in day one, I mean, I'll have a damn party on day one. And I don't think we're going to do that. Then we're going to start mapping out the other cool shit that we can be able to do as we get into day two and day three and day four and day five. And then we're just going to start cooking with gas as the old folks say. Um, where'd you go? You're not here. You always stick around when you wouldn't buy my second.
Starting point is 02:24:31 Yeah, I'm here. All right. Ron H. Uh, need these last flowers. Uh, DJ. The ability to donate will open up right at 10 a.m. Correct? No, 10.30.
Starting point is 02:24:40 We're going to start at 10. We're going to, the stream is going to start at 10. And then we're going to put the campaign live at 10.30 a.m. So we can monitor it from, you know, we're going to talk about everything that's kind of going on. And Craig's going to give his updates. Can talk about other things. We're going to, we're just going to start to build up so people can start to join in and we'll ask questions and everything too and we do kind of Q&A type stuff throughout it
Starting point is 02:25:02 and then 1030 boom it opens up uh Yoshimitsu don't forget even if kickstarter overperforms oh we did that one you know um oh wait is that right but yes extras are what stretch goals are for yes and we have tons of really cool stretch goals tons that are related to both smowdown trending like everything um my choice why not bring in some channel members on tuesday um maybe not on Tuesday. Right. Because we just have it such, it's so structured out.
Starting point is 02:25:30 But I'm not opposed to doing something like that in general of doing like a, but even even we've doing another, well, I'll do something for members, obviously, but maybe something that we can bring in member, channel members to ask like audio questions and stuff. That's possible.
Starting point is 02:25:44 Yeah. Joseph Asch, you spoke to Star Wars competitors. I mean, we're not doing a Star Wars one. So no. Um, unless I miss it.
Starting point is 02:25:52 Winston won't be on Tuesday to help with the show. I don't have him scheduled yet, but that's not to say him and Chris Carr, I don't have him scheduled yet. I don't have, Mike and Roxy are ready scheduled. I don't have Roka scheduled yet, but I could reach out. I mean, there's, like they said, there's that half an hour in between. I probably reach out to have him on there. So the goal is probably to have everybody. I guess it's got to figure it out.
Starting point is 02:26:13 Right. Joseph or Johnny, Christian, be honest. Has Mike told you yes or no off cameras? He actually hasn't. I swear to God. I told him, I told him before, and I said, I want you to tell me you're honest. answer on Tuesday. And so what you see is what you get.
Starting point is 02:26:28 I can vouch for that. Yeah. Now, if you ask me what I think he's going to say, I think he's going to say yes. Yeah. There's no way. There's no way he's going to be able to watch all of this happen. He's just his reason why he was one of the best competitors
Starting point is 02:26:44 of all time because he's super competitive and he'd be so upset knowing that he had a shot to be in it and not perform. And especially, yeah. No, yeah, free. It's going to be, you know, producing it because yeah I'm like that big of a deal come on I mean this is yeah and we get actually we're going to produce this whole thing and
Starting point is 02:27:01 it's and and who knows if we'll ever do it ever again right and it's last rah maybe it's last we could be the last hurrah and to have him come in to do it he he would I would be very surprised like I understand why smet's would say no to the singles champion single single single single tournament I get it I don't understand my mic Mike competed in that league and and and and did very, very well. Yeah. Mikey two belts, almost three.
Starting point is 02:27:27 Almost three. Armada. Will there be new IG slices? I don't know yet. We haven't gotten that far yet because without a budget to run any of this stuff. It's just PLD and PJ saying, yeah, we'll do it. I'm sure they've been collaborating back and forth about, hey, we can do this and we can do that. I have some ideas, but I'll just throw out there as a throwing it out there.
Starting point is 02:27:51 I think we're going to try to make it a little more fun-based. If you ever watch that last spectacular, I think that's when you really nailed, like, the fun aspect of the show as well as to being so serious. Like, we have the fun questions or anything else, but they'll be serious in those championship questions. And balance it around, yeah, absolutely. And the first round will probably be a lot easier for everybody
Starting point is 02:28:07 than the second round, the third round. We'll ease them back in a little bit. Yeah, 100%. Dravain Marks. So just double-checking, like Thursday's show, started at 10 a.m. Your time, 9, my time. That'll be same for Tuesday's show.
Starting point is 02:28:19 10 a.m. East Coast time. Yes. So West Coast time seven in the morning. And then I don't know where you are, Draven, but I would assume that it's an hour below, you know, East Coast. So yes, it would be, or sorry, two, two below. Right, right? I don't know what the hell. 10 my time. So nine, yes, so an hour. So an hour, yes. Correct. Um, Brooke is gone. It's nothing for me to crash Kickstarter and get those numbers of us looking close at the end. Don't you worry. I, listen, I'm, I would absolutely, me, is I'm going to be on looking and just monitoring and making sure that we can all do this together. I mean, all day, all day is going to be, it's going to be trying to maneuver us to get this thing done together. Because the other cool thing about it, and I think you and I talked about this Peel day, is that we get it, we get it done. We raise the money for it in like day one or day two. Then everybody knows and they go, who fuck it we're making. And then like the other guy just said, we raised the stretch goals and we put more into it. But the cool thing is then saying, oh, we're going to do a premier party.
Starting point is 02:29:22 And if we have enough stretch goals, we do a premier party in L.A. And we do a premier party in New York. You know, we do two. And like, and it would be one of those things with the, and just to sit back and talk to somebody who said, yeah, you know what? I believe in this thing from the beginning. And I was there and have a drink or share an hors d'oeuvre or something with somebody and then talking about it.
Starting point is 02:29:42 Like, that would be so cool. These were offering that tier as well, you know, so people come to the after party and stuff too. I think that's going to be great. Happy blast, yeah. Yeah. All right. Draven Mark, so just double-chall. We did that one.
Starting point is 02:29:55 Brooke is gone. Oh, he did that one too. Sorry. Soul style. How does it work? We'll be able to see how much each viewer donates. I think that you can do it an, you can do it where you can let people see it. And then there's one you can say, we don't want people to see it.
Starting point is 02:30:11 Yeah, anonymous. I think so. I think so. That's a good question for Craig. So you actually. Ask all these questions to Craig from the 10 to 1030 hour. Maskless, let's visit. Christian, sorry, I'm a broke MF.
Starting point is 02:30:23 My question. Well, first, thanks again for the response back on me finishing my book after writing it for 26 years. That's amazing. Congratulations again. Oh, random words. One of two. All right, fair enough. Asel, stupid idea.
Starting point is 02:30:33 Do we ever see a character scrolling on their phone or have the TV on in the background of the pilot? If there is, can we finally send Roka and PLD on a trip for a fake reality TV show? That would be hilarious. That would be hilarious if it was, if that was the actual show. I would also make I would eat so much gassy food and just fart the hell out of them smoke them out. It's 100%. Um, and then where is where is this? I have the picture for.
Starting point is 02:30:57 Oh yeah. Then somebody, you know, Joe did that. Yeah. You got to make it cocoa holes. Um, okay. Keep the question's coming. Guys, I'll do a super show today. I'll stick on.
Starting point is 02:31:08 I'll stick around for as long as you want. Rich T. 8, 796. Yeah, I was wondering too if you reached out the penny about this show. I watched your interview with her, but I forgot if you mentioned it. She knows about the Kickstarter. Yeah, she actually retweeted it. I saw that.
Starting point is 02:31:21 She retweeted not too long ago. She was, she was, she liked, because her and I were talking about some stuff that she wants to do in general. But like, I told her too, and I told you guys, there's, there's a hundred percent that Danny and Kelly would interview and adult film actress. Oh, yeah. In the series. 100%. She'd be perfect. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:31:41 Soul style. Question about Tuesday. Are you doing it from your home? Oh, no. I'll be in studio all day. I couldn't do that from home. No way. No.
Starting point is 02:31:48 Yeah, I'll be here. I'll be there. Oh, yeah, I was going to ask you, P.L. Which I'm sure you probably knew this anyway. There'd be a couple times. I'll even have to hit the bathroom break or I'll have to make myself a sandwich or something. And I'll have to have you kind of, you know, take the reins. I'll vamp.
Starting point is 02:32:02 I vamp awesomely. Ask everybody. Yes. Yes. Also, if you're still reaching for the goal on Wednesday, will you do a longer show on Wednesday, too? Obviously, not an all day stream, but longer than normal show. I mean, I'll probably do something like this, you know,
Starting point is 02:32:15 We'll just, I, I, I thoroughly, as you guys can tell, I thoroughly enjoy talking about this project. I thoroughly love the people I'm working with. I'm excited about it. I wanted to happen, something I've always wanted to do. I talked about this yesterday. I'm going to talk about it again, this video that I made with Freed. This was a major moment in my life when I got my name on the comedy store wall. This, I'm hoping, is one of those moments, too, because I am, um,
Starting point is 02:32:45 I want to talk to this stuff about, I want to talk about this show with you guys. So if we're in day two of the goal, yeah, I'll be here talking about it for as long as you guys want to talk to me about it. You know, and that's why I said, keep asking questions, keep throwing them in there, anything else you want to know about. I want to double check and I'm going to look right now. I want to see where we're at with the followers. We're still at 2576. That's all right. We've still got quite a few.
Starting point is 02:33:12 We still have the video up there. I don't know where Craig didn't put it up yet. Um, well, we'll see. Let me double check and say, uh, let's see if he can get it up there going up soon. It's not going up soon. Sorry, guys. All right. Okay.
Starting point is 02:33:30 So next one. Johnny Patricea, would any of the trending crew attend the final for MTS? Well, I mean, Freed will, we'll be there for sure. And, you know, if it's in L.A., Martina would be there. Yeah. Martina would be there. She lives in L.A. So we can get, I mean, I think.
Starting point is 02:33:45 I think at that point people are going to want to see her anyway. I think people now are getting what, you know, she's all about and kind of responding to her. I got like co-announce with you at some point. Maybe she comes in and announces like the winners. Because I tell you right now, I'm not calling any matches. I am not calling any matches. That'll be Ellis and someone else. I will be, I'll do the announcing like the coming to the ring and your winner and all that.
Starting point is 02:34:15 shit, I'll do that, but I'm not doing, uh, I'm not, I'm not calling any matches. You don't know to read it with your glasses. No, I would, that's part one. That happened to me once, dude. Oh my God. That and that, and my eyes were not even close as bad as they are now. Right. And I left my glasses at one point somewhere, and I was, I was, I was struggling, dude. I was struggling. It was bad. Uh, will he bounce us on Tuesday when his food shows up. Not me. I'll bounce myself and then PLD will have to take over for sure. Greenie from Oz, do a wrestling spot at the end. of it roger through the table.
Starting point is 02:34:47 That's the first thing he said that I agree with. He would, he never commit to that. Mask was visor. When you write, because I know you have a playlist, I do the same. I write to my music. My question does the songs you, my question, does the song you write to? Does the music you listen to form the scenes in your head or vice versa? It depends.
Starting point is 02:35:03 Sometimes, sometimes the song forms it. Sometimes, you know, the opposite. It just depends. Like what I've been doing yesterday, someone asked me, I'll do this again. If everybody wants, I'll give you, you there's some, many songs is not going to give it away. I said that after a bit I was going to give away the trending playlist on when we got to a certain place. I'd release the whole thing on Kickstarter as one of the one of the things. But yesterday I can't remember shit. He wrote in the in the group.
Starting point is 02:35:31 And I gave him a couple of songs on his road trip. I'll give you I'll give you three songs. You guys want to listen to him. Write him down. Play my playlist trending on shuffle. Play my playlist trending on shuffle. Let's see what we got. got first song first song we got is if you guys want to write them down you guys can listen to them she drives me crazy by the fine young cannibals that that's i mean that's pretty much a given um walk this way by arrow smith and uh and and uh girlfriend by uh averil ravine so it shows you so it shows you very very different very very different um so there you go j p t plays became a member. Thank you, JPT. Appreciate that. We got to do our live stream too,
Starting point is 02:36:19 Peelley. That's going to be crazy. Rich T. 8796. Hey, Christian, this might be more personal, so you don't have to say it. But how is your wife with all this? Is she telling her friends and coworkers? Oh, yeah, and it's not personal. I told you, she's very supportive over it, right? She's like, she's been with it since I told her I was doing it a while. Shit, man, a year and a half, two years ago when we started kind of pushing towards it. And so she's been, she's been on board. My wife is very supportive and always encouraging and telling everybody about it. Yeah, she's, she's great with it. Joseph Ashley, I believe this is going to happen because getting a amount of folks to put in 25 sounds easy goal to make happen. It's just the
Starting point is 02:36:54 amount of making sure that it's that number of 13,000 people, right? So like, if you put it in comparison, this show has been doing a nearer between, you know, 13 to 25,000 people watching per episode, right? That's not including Spotify. That's not including Apple or any of that stuff. That's just including, that's just YouTube. So if every single person who watch is this show daily, did that and put in $25. We make the show like that and we overperform. It's just a matter of people's. And even if it's like, even there is going to be a tier that you can just say, well, yeah, I can only put in.
Starting point is 02:37:29 I'm not going to put a $5 super chat in today and this is all I have. Here's five bucks. You can do that. But the, I think that the benefits and stuff started a higher tier, but you can donate whatever you want. And also you put a $5 super chat in it like once a day or so you. Because sometimes people do $5 here, $5 here. you can keep doing it up in your well you can't up your pledge
Starting point is 02:37:47 well that's very true that's a great that's a great point by PILD so if everyone's like well you know what today I can only put in you know 10 10 bucks but by the 15th I can probably put in 20 you could do something like that and I assume you hit the you hit the you go to the next tier yeah
Starting point is 02:38:06 all right Draven marks PLD you're going to be on the stream that early on Tuesday I'm going to be here all day baby and so is Luke Luke and PLD. I really do. I mean, I love both these guys. I really do.
Starting point is 02:38:18 Like they, they, they, I, and, and I didn't ask them to. I didn't ask either one of them to. If, if, if, if, if one of them was like, I can only be on for like an hour or two as normal, then that's fine. I didn't ask them to. They both told me, Luke, Luke, Luke said, I'll be there. I'm going to be there for the stream. Peelty's like, I'm going to be there for the stream. They both did that.
Starting point is 02:38:41 And I, and I, and I want them both to know that I'm, I'm very, very appreciative on it. And Luke's probably going to pop on. Oh, Luke is going to pop onto the stream because Luke's going to help me with the, um, with the, uh, the, the 40 day challenge. And he helped me design it. So I want him to break down a lot of stuff that we're going to be doing. Um, and I'm also going to be reacting to a movie on his channel. He's going to react to one of mine. So we're going to collaborate as well. So Luke's going to be on the live stream as well. We actually have double bubble boy. We did that one stream and you weren't there. It was like Winston and Kurt. Oh, cool. Oh, and Luke popped in. Yeah. Oh, that's great. So I was, I missed
Starting point is 02:39:13 Luke's debut? I think it was Winston-Christ and Chris. Amara, Amata, Amata, A-Y-T, the Adam Fart story is so funny. Oh, the one with Bonnie? Can I tell that on this story? You did, oh, boy, you told us that.
Starting point is 02:39:30 Did I tell it here, and I tell it in the, in the member stream? That's a good question. They kind of blend together for me sometimes. It's a great story. It is a great story, yeah. Because of a fart. Alan, did you finally get to interview, Paul Walter Hauser. I did not. So here's what happened with that, which we were scheduled to on, on Thursday. It was a Thursday. It was yesterday. He was scheduled for yesterday. And Paul wrote me back
Starting point is 02:39:55 on Wednesday. He just, he had something come up and he wasn't able to make it on Wednesday. And he was super, he tried to actually get me to move it back earlier, but I had my screening so I couldn't do it. And he was trying to make it work. He was very apologetic and really wanted to do it. And he said, look, we can do something digital. When I got back, he's like, but I'll be. back in New York and I prefer to do it live. You know, can we do something in October? And I said, yeah, so we're going to do something in October. I'm with him. I'd much rather do something together live. So we'll, we'll get it done. Paul and I keep in touch. So we'll definitely get it done. Lord Monk, who is playing the engineer
Starting point is 02:40:30 on our show is trying to, same same answer. Nobody yet. And we got a great, we got a great, we got a great engineer character. I can say the character. Milo. Milo is great. Myel's one my favorite characters. Mine too, actually. Milo's one of my favorite characters. Milo could be, could be anybody. Like I just, and it really opens up to some really, um, really strong comedic actors. Armada, Christian Allen Blurds, if they'll have me, totally. Got to try to get Burke Kreischer on. Wednesday, you're in for sure. Well, I'm in, I mean, I guess by telling Bert that Wendy's involved, yeah, I've been, I'm, my goal was, I have a goal of try and reach out to all these people that I used that I know pretty well.
Starting point is 02:41:17 But I wanted something to happen. I don't know if it's going to happen yet, but I might have to might have to do something else. Uh, Josh Rock, any former comedian, but he's besides Mark that you have in mind for the show. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I have, I have tons of people in, you know, the thing, the thing is I have ideas of people that I think would be great too. But the other thing that I have to also be very aware of is I might have the perfect person in mind for a role. but I'm also not the only person who makes the decisions on this thing. I have partners.
Starting point is 02:41:49 You know, I got, I got martini, I got Andrew, and I got other thing. And so, but I have ideas and things. And now, if it goes to series, the difference is pilot is like, you've got to build around it. But if it was a series, I'm like, I, look, wrote this for this particular person. I think they'd be great. And then you put them in it and you can do some stuff. And so, but I have a lot of people in mind for sure. Okay.
Starting point is 02:42:11 What is that for the announcing? I haven't involved somewhere or another for sure. I mean, I love Andrew. Yoshimitsu. Napsock was always my favorite on the desk. I liked Ken on the desk. I liked Andrew because Andrew had that kind of real sports commentator aspect of it. And he really knew, he really dove deep into the game and the characters of it.
Starting point is 02:42:34 Ken was just a constant pro and he was really good at it. But Ken wasn't as invested in the storylines and characters as her as, as Andrew was. Ken was naturally hilarious. Yeah, totally. I definitely, we actually sat down with Guy and Ellis, that's behind the scenes,
Starting point is 02:42:48 me and PJ would sit down with Guy and Alice and talked about everything else. Guy was like, oh yeah, all on board sports. Yeah, 100%. And,
Starting point is 02:42:53 I mean, Ken has a wrestling background, so that's why he was so good at it too. But as far as the schmodeown goes, like Andrew was more invested. Drave and Marks, would you say that trending is the thing you're excited about ever doing in your entire career
Starting point is 02:43:06 from WWE to everything else? I'd say yes. I'd have to say yes, because it's one of these things where I know, I really know what Martini and I are capable of. I've wanted to work with Andrew for a very long time. We've had, we've had things that we've worked on together. I actually had something that me, him and Mark Ellis were working on together that got really close.
Starting point is 02:43:27 It just, it wasn't, it was nonscripted, but it was something that was really cool that we thought we were going to go. So we've been trying to do stuff together for a long time and the fact that this is in him, he's able to, what's that? Sorry, I'm starting something. So we have, so the fact that we're doing that, plus working with Martini and really hitting this vibe and being able to do it with you guys. As we said, like, you know, like, we're in it. This is actually the perfect time for this show. In the way that film is kind of being revolutionized by audiences and YouTube audiences,
Starting point is 02:44:08 it's TV's turn now. it's it's time for that and it's time for a TV comedy to do that and it's time for the story to say yeah this guy was like he didn't have because I like going against this never tell me the odds as hon solo says because I can't even tell you the amount of times you look in in the comparison like schmowdown schmows no stand-up comedy writing for wrestling and people tell me you can't do that it's the odds are against you can't do this you can't do that you can't do that I had a few people at Kickstarter, well, you know, you've got a good, you've got a decent size audience, but, you know, you probably, realistically, you probably, the amount of people that would donate was this and that
Starting point is 02:44:48 and this and this and this. And, you know, you have the fucking Reddit threads and everybody else doubting you and this kind of shit and that stuff. It's like, you can't listen to the noise. You've got to be able to push past it and try and be passionate about it. Because as I've said, many, many times over, I don't have any animosity. These are people like that. I say that's just in human nature, they just, for some reason, and not everybody's going to like it. I mean, even like I was on Merle's show the other day. And majority of the people, like, I'd say like 85% and 90% super positive. I saw a couple people in the chat that were taking shots of me or going after me,
Starting point is 02:45:23 whatever it was. And I said, I'm not commenting to that. I'm not respond to that because that's not what I'm here for. I'm here to like, you know, maybe I responded to one guy, but, but calmly. And I was like, you know, listen. I'm sorry you have that perception, but I'd love to have you on the show to talk about it. They don't never say that. They don't respond.
Starting point is 02:45:44 It never happens. But I said, why not? But the people have a perception of you. You've got to push past it and do what you want to do. And to answer your question, yes, I am, I just am so proud of this and so proud of the characters. And I want to tell the story. That's the thing is I just want to tell this story.
Starting point is 02:46:02 And I want to tell it over the course of six seasons. And I know where it goes. And I listen to the music. And I can hear the character speaking and I want to see. I don't want to get excited with you guys going, holy shit, we got so-and-so to play so-and-so? That's awesome. Like that day is going to be amazing.
Starting point is 02:46:17 And that's another reason why I wanted to say, let's just fucking fund this thing in the first day. Because then the next couple of streams are, okay, holy shit, we got to this. And now Wendy comes in and she goes like, okay, we're making offers to so-and-so. And we're doing this. Oh, we're going to get them.
Starting point is 02:46:31 We're going to get them. And it becomes like it's not about making the show anymore. It's about who are we getting to do the show now. And we can all do that and get past the fricking odds of it all. Yeah. Go ahead, Piel,
Starting point is 02:46:42 are you going to say something? I just say, makes me want to run through a brick wall for you, man. Thanks, brother. I mean, the fact that you are here in general,
Starting point is 02:46:48 like, again, being here all day, that's a lot. Mike Rios, 1065, you playing a female reoccurring character, maybe a funny edition?
Starting point is 02:46:58 What? Oh, I see. It's not that kind of show. It's not that kind of show. Martin's show became popular. He played the female characters. No,
Starting point is 02:47:05 it's not, it's not a it's not that type of comedy it's more like i said it's more like the bear meets um meets hacks it's more these characters are real you know with real humor um duncicino here yeah did you mention there was a gen z character in the show so definitely got to make him a tinfoil hat enthusiast um there are there are quite a few gen z characters um but some of them are involved within the show itself some of them involved outside of the show and yeah they're there are quite there are quite a few. I always say the relationships are one of my favorite part of the script. The Gen Z, yeah, and Ali React interact with.
Starting point is 02:47:41 Johnny, but she's an Ellis and Roxy in the desk. No, Rock's going to be a manager. Yeah. She was good on the desk, though. Jenny, Greenie from Oz, should do trending ads through your show. Not a fan of ads, but it'll help with casuals. Like the, just like showing what I just showed, like that one? Or like more, I mean, I think we've been doing that, no, Greenie? So if Marisol and Adam are back, that means Shannon has to manage, right? Armada, not necessarily. That Adam Collins' last manager was not Shannon. It was Winston.
Starting point is 02:48:11 That's right. It was swag. Yeah, he was Fox, Swag. Yep. Any chance of Steph making a brief surprise appearance on Tuesday. I started thinking of Adam Collins as swag. Just the typical swag person, Adam Collins. By the way, that was one of my favorite storylines, because if you get to know, because when Adam Collins hit the scene, he was so intimidating because he was beating everybody. So it was like Adam the coyote Collins and you're looking. It's not who he is.
Starting point is 02:48:36 He's a wonderful, wonderful human and he's just a really, really good dude who is a bit and I say this lovingly. He's a bit goofy sometimes and he would say it. And my favorite stuff with him was when he was doing that fucking dance
Starting point is 02:48:53 with Polo Yama in the back. It was great. I was like, oh, this, I can't wait to work with this Adam Collins. And we didn't didn't get to do enough because it was the season was over. But that was the gimmick because the coyote intimidating, it was growing old. And I didn't have anything to do with him. I had nothing to do with him.
Starting point is 02:49:12 And then when he started becoming fun comedy, I was like, oh, I could do the world. That's him. I said, I could do so much with him. And he's one of the guys, by the way, him, Jader, chance. Those are guys that consistently will send texts. How you doing? What's going on? This, this, and that.
Starting point is 02:49:30 And Adam's always that guy. Adam and Adam and Marisol. I'll say this too. Maybe this, maybe this is boost some ticket sales. Adam and Marisol are coming to the comedy show. That's right. So that's pretty fun too.
Starting point is 02:49:40 Very happy. I drink with them. Yeah. And I called them. I called Adam and he goes, I had a funny feeling you'd be calling me. That's what I said. And then I was like, well, you know,
Starting point is 02:49:50 you may not know I'm calling. He's like, we're in. I was like, great. Hey, did you reach out of Ken Naps? Like about the show and maybe the tournament. I mean, about trending? or about trying because he's there's nothing for him in the pilot per se but um he because he was in grasping and straw um and he was great in grasping his straw as stevie he was great like he and i you know
Starting point is 02:50:12 we mapped that he and i were kind of went through the whole season of what we wanted to do with grasping and straws i mean we had some great ideas for his character just never meant to be um but you know trney like i my in my ideal world we get the tourney and everything going i'd love to bring all the cast the characters back and have them in the audience and have things. But Ken, I'd probably find something for Ken to do if he was interested in coming back to be whether, Ken was a manager at one point. He was in, Ken was in corruption. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:50:39 So Ken, Ken would be, yeah, I mean, Ken can do anything. So I wouldn't be opposed to having him back if you wanted to come back. Ken understood like a lot of people. He got it. He got it. Yeah. Joseph Ashley, 4122. We've been first cut with RB3, Ace and Sabrina. I love those guys. I'm trying to do everything that I can to promote it.
Starting point is 02:50:56 Armada, A, Y, T, man, stretch goals. Where's Penny, B, Barber. Also, you think Mance could come back to the Schmodown? I don't know about coming back to the Schmodeon, but being in the audience or maybe even doing like a on the sidelines kind of interview, maybe. But being in the tournament, probably not. Probably not. I don't know. It just he, he was, he was one of those. We almost had Mance and Roka three set up for the spectacular, the last spectacular. I remember that. Yeah. Brooke, Beat is looking good. He had a little blood clot. It's like from flying on planes, apparently. But luckily, the Mickey Mantlegin kicked back in.
Starting point is 02:51:29 and got out of me, he's doing just enough. That's awesome. Thank you for keeping us updated on that, bro. Let's see, Ioshi. Is the casting director's job to do that casting she thinks will work, or does she just try and cast wherever she thinks fits, mix of both, or is that a medium discussion? I think all the above, right?
Starting point is 02:51:48 It's like, hey, and it's another thing of saying, well, you know, we have X amount, we have this, we have that. Well, if you guys have that, then here's our list of the people that we think, that I think could be good. and it is her job, too, of what she's so good at is maybe thinking outside the box. Maybe we have an idea of who we think would be perfect. Well, but did you think about this character doing this and being this person?
Starting point is 02:52:11 And that's what she does. And that's why she has a bunch of golden statues. Keep throwing in. Guys, I'll stick around. I'm in a mood today. I want to chat it up. Rick's top picks. Damn oil change.
Starting point is 02:52:24 Missed the show. Hope all as well. Replay. Watch it on the replay. and thank you, Ray. Ah, your Shmitsu, the best art is made by people who really care. That's what we hope. That's what we hope.
Starting point is 02:52:35 Princess, positive. Christian, tell those toes, you shove up their cocoa hole. I mean, it's, you got it. Yeah, I know, it's just one of the, I just, I just don't understand sometimes, right? It's like, I get it. Look, of course, everybody, you know, you, you know, nobody, I mean, I shouldn't say nobody goes out to want to be disliked. I mean, that's not necessarily true. There's tons of people who look for that.
Starting point is 02:52:56 But, I mean, you know, it's a bummer. sometimes when you're talking to Dan, you see someone going up, oh, the bus for those house to be, to build this, I'm like, I get it, I get it. Okay, I stepped in shit and you're making me realize it, eight, nine years later. It's the M&M stuff. It's like, we got it. What do you got?
Starting point is 02:53:11 You got another one? Go ahead. Great, great, great. And then the one that bothers, you know, some guy was right like, oh, this guy doesn't care about his audience and this and that. He just wants to do that. I'm like, if you don't know, you don't know me, don't say shit like that. That's all I fucking care about is my audience. Right. I can't really. Every day talking to them about this stuff and every day wanting to encourage people to go for their ideas and go for their dreams.
Starting point is 02:53:35 And that's all when we're doing it together and to be inviting. So it's like I just it's like the problem is that people don't they see on screen and they make a judgment about you thinking they know who you are just from hearing you talk about movies or something else or whatever it might be. but they don't really know you, right? In the same way that I... They make up their mind like that. They can't make up my mind about the person who's making that comment. The person who makes the shittiest comment
Starting point is 02:54:05 could also be a really good person. Like there's a person in here, I won't call the personnel, but who's now an avid watcher of the show again. And during the Shmodown days, went off on a tire, a rant on me. And just went off on me. And for certain reasons.
Starting point is 02:54:24 And then, you know, that was it. I was like, okay, guess you're not a fan anymore. It is. And then the person came in and with the most mature, level-headed things, I was in a different spot back then. And I maybe shouldn't have handled it that way. Are we cool? I was like, yeah, we're fucking cool.
Starting point is 02:54:41 It's great. And now he's in almost every stream talking. And it's great. And that's, to me, it's like, you can't hold grudges on people either. It was PILD. It was 100% PILD. It's a whole whole reason. So, all right.
Starting point is 02:54:55 I'm hoping we get Brother Lomas. Look, there's a lot of calls I haven't made yet because we, what I remember this, that by the time we get to Tuesday, I'm not going to have a whole tournament planned out because I don't want to do that yet. I want to say, I've already given you guys enough competitors to you, hopefully, if you're Schmowdown fan, you want to see it. Right. You got Rokka, Merle, Marisol, Adam Collins.
Starting point is 02:55:22 you know Mike's going to do it. And you got, I mean, Bibiani, Chris Carr, I mean, that's a loan tournament. You go, okay, I'm in. And then plus that I haven't even asked everybody else. So yeah, Captain Penis. Do you know Samarle? I mean, I interviewed Samarrel. He was on the show.
Starting point is 02:55:39 You can find that interview with me, him and Roxy. Not enough that I would reach out to him. He was kind of after my time. Alan Smithy, thanks for the long Friday show. I can't wait for next week. So excited for trending. And for Shmodown. Ask Adam if he wants her.
Starting point is 02:55:52 match. Yeah, I know you. He loves, he loves bringing that up. He beat him, right? Yeah, and back when did the member street, he did that, used to do a Schmodeon match and he got to play, he play Adam and he took Marisol and he took Marisol to overtime, and he beat Adam to get into overtime. Interesting. Yeah. Let's say, I want
Starting point is 02:56:08 to make sure Craig said he posted the video. Did he? Where is it? He said he posted it. I don't know. He said, Craig said he posted it on the, I don't see it. I did refresh it. I don't see you. I don't know. Well, thanks a long for the show. I will ask him, for sure. All right.
Starting point is 02:56:30 Rich T. I'm not in the entertainment business at all, so I don't truly understand all the different parts. I assume then the casting directors have to know and really understand the show. Yeah, well, yeah, she read the script. 100%. Yeah. I mean, yeah, the casting director has to know the show, has to know the comedy of it, has to know the characters, has to know the want and the ass. That's the whole point of bringing in a great casting director. And when she responded to the, script that she loved the script. I was, Martini and I were blown away. We loved casting as a collab between casting, director, director, or I guess showrunner
Starting point is 02:57:00 in this case and producer. Nowadays, producers sometimes put pressure on casting, she's people with followings. That's also true. They absolutely do that. And I'm sure that's something that we can absolutely ask her when she comes in. Josh Sticks, any plans of a weekend stream, hype up the Kickstarter? This weekend?
Starting point is 02:57:17 Going to be tough for me. I might pop in on like a Saturday night or, Saturday or Sunday, I might drive here, depending. I'm going to get the family duties done first. Right. Because this is going to be the last free weekend I really have with my kids and my little one has a, although that's not really true because next week is my little one's birthday.
Starting point is 02:57:38 And even though it's going to be in the height of the Kickstarter, I got a, I got my kids birthday weekend. So I'll do what I can. But yeah, let's see. Next one. Joseph, what guest you have on character. podcast on trending. Well, in the first episode, the guests, I don't want to give away with the guest. It's not a famous guest. At least, someone's socially famous in their world,
Starting point is 02:58:05 in their world. But the famous guest wouldn't start coming until deeper into the season or series. Saul, I know not everyone knows my personal lawyer, but if my presence in this chat says anything, it's that Christian cares about his audience. I mean, more than anything, more than anything, And if you guys are in here, then you know that. If you're an outside viewer who just talk shit, you know, then, you know, you have your own narrative. And that's fine. You can't, you can't police everything and everywhere. It's just you don't want people to think about you that way.
Starting point is 02:58:35 That's not, that's, but, you know, it is what it is. I was a fan first, too. I know you were. Yeah. Which is fair. Cassio Beard, people that know you in this community can see the love and passion, not just from you, but your friends and colleagues wishing you all, but nothing the best. So well deserved, much love.
Starting point is 02:58:50 Thank you, Cassio. I mean, that's what I hope. I mean, I really hope that there's 13,000 of you that say, hey, let's do it together. Let's get to this. And plus the fact, let's all just, can you know how crazy that's going to be? Everyone dancing away the night at an after party with the freaking big trending post, you know, hashtag in the background.
Starting point is 02:59:09 Even if we only do one freaking show ever, you really do one pilot episode that we love that we think is the best. And we all did it together like, you know, like conquering heroes. It's going to be amazing all due together. Absolutely. Lord Mong, how deep are you going to go down the podcast road? What is the leads podcast about? Does he share studios or something like a food podcast or out of Richmond or something like that?
Starting point is 02:59:31 How many roles? Well, no, I'm not going to give it too much away there yet. But he was running a podcast early. His buddy's best friend got him to do it because he had kind of given up stand-up comedy because he shit that bed. And, you know, he was really poised to be like a really big stand-up. comedian, but he blew every opportunity and he got himself banned from some clubs and other things too, was just a bunch of shit that he got into. And his friend got him into podcasting back in the
Starting point is 02:59:59 boom. So he was starting to get like kind of a podcast in the way that Carolla and those guys were in like 2010 and everything was building up to that. And it was having his friends on, having people, he still did comedy with everything to, but then eventually it over the course of years, he just didn't grow. And other shows did. And other and more and more and more and more shows did. And he didn't go down the road. Ah, we don't need to do that. We're fine. We're doing fine the way we are. Yeah, but you know, they're doing this now with social media. They're doing this. They're saying, ah, we don't need to do that.
Starting point is 03:00:27 We're fine. And by the time you get to 2000, you know, 26, he's like a dinosaur. So, uh, Saul. Christian, if we hit the goal for the 16th training, would be an opportunity for plans, which would be matches amongst people who didn't quite make the bubble who if they win they're in. There's always the possibility for everything, Saul. But the, let's, One step at a time, right? One step at a time. And again, I haven't asked everybody yet.
Starting point is 03:00:54 Sam, casting directors have to read the script in order to do their job. Otherwise, they can't make character descriptions for casting calls among the duties. That is exactly right, Sam. Rich T. When people hesitate to ask for something, if you get told no, then you're just where you are now. So no harm. If you try for what you want and don't reach it, you're just where you are now. So try.
Starting point is 03:01:12 Yoda couldn't have said it better. 100%. That's absolutely right. Last one for now, unless anybody says something else. Joseph Ashley, to be honest, I still don't know the difference between producer and director. Oh, it seems director has always brought out more than the producer. Well, there's a lot of different types of producers. There's a lot of different roles of what producers do.
Starting point is 03:01:34 There could be a producer who just adds money, and they're helping produce because they're adding funds. Creatively, they don't do much. There's another, there's now there's an executive producer. producer who is able to say, you know what I can do, guys. I know for a fact that I can make this location happen and I can make it happen for a really good price. And I also know so-and-so and I can make a phone call to see if I can get them to do to do that part.
Starting point is 03:02:05 That's a producer. What Greg Alba is doing, hey, with the videos and things that you're doing there and adding his expertise to the way that the social media works and that, you guys should try to do this. and that, you lend creative stuff, but also being able to produce results in what's happening for the Kickstarter and other things. That's production and producing things moving forward. The director is taking the vision of the script and putting their creative flare on it to then say, this is my vision of what I want it to look like and where I want people to go and creatively
Starting point is 03:02:41 how I want you to feel and move. And that's, that's kind of the difference between the director and producer. Gonna do fictional character guests for the show could make some epic satires or real life people. Greenie Formas, yeah,
Starting point is 03:02:53 I mean, that is one of the things of this, I think when Greg and I were talking about it, about the potential of what you can do with this show. There's a lot of that type of stuff, for sure.
Starting point is 03:03:02 Last one for now. Rich T. Oh, I did have a question earlier. I may have been out of the room if you saw it, but how do shows get onto IMDB? Someone says, in development on there.
Starting point is 03:03:12 Wouldn't trend to be in development now? I mean, I guess it's kind of in development. But it's not officially kind of with anybody. You know, like some shows that are in development are probably under production deals with studios and things too. So that's where when they're in development. This is kind of a newer way to do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:03:32 Hard to really say. Right. So that would be harder to say. Listen, this was a lot of fun again. I really appreciate you guys continuously doing this. We are in here. We are doing it. We are not too far away.
Starting point is 03:03:49 So thank you guys for being here. I appreciate it. I'm going to post, oh, that's what I can ask you guys to do. Whether it's Twitter or X, whatever the fuck it's called, Instagram or Facebook, if you see me post the video that I showed you guys today, please retweet that, share that, let people know if you are one of the people who are going to be backing it, please let people know that you will be backing it and why you were backing it. And that would be great. So, um, all right. There are a couple more actually.
Starting point is 03:04:22 Sorry. Rich, thank you for answering all my questions and all of your, our questions. I appreciate on behalf of myself and everyone else. I'll be doing this guys for quite a while now. We're in this home stretch to do it as much as we can. So keep it coming. And you know, everybody in here. And if you're in here on a Monday, if you're in on a Friday, we'll do it. Dave and Mark, thanks for the super show. I'm in the hospital currently.
Starting point is 03:04:42 Oh, man, feel better. You're doing okay. And it's making my day. Also, I'm trying to become a screenwriter. diverse script. I'm writing as a Lobo script. That's cool. Writing it on spec? That's awesome. That's amazing. If you don't think there was a Hollywood executive that an arm broke a bitisicist, I don't know what that is. Oh, oh, for, okay,
Starting point is 03:04:58 I know what that is. Oh, I certainly share their video. Thank you, Ray Carpet Talk. Ioshi. I showed my wife the Kickstarter video. She asked me if Martini was actually your wife. Chemistry is definitely there. That's awesome. That's great. That was, that's funny. That's funny. That's funny.
Starting point is 03:05:14 Well, good. I'm glad. Yeah, I'm glad. All right, let's see. I'm trying to see if there's any more. Are there any more coming in, Pieldy? Oh, yeah, one more here. I got one. Christian, when our show kicks ass in the ratings and you start to get offered more opportunities, would you write, produce, act on a show of Lucas some reached out to you for Star Wars?
Starting point is 03:05:32 I say this, look, and you guys can call me a bullshitter if it happens, and I'll, and I'll wear it in the way that Matt Smith word for the Rise of Skywalker thing. But I have no interest of really pursuing. an acting career. I have, I have interest in pursuing telling the story of Danny Lyons. I have, I have an interest in in telling this story for six seasons and, and really watching these characters come to life. That's what I have an interest in.
Starting point is 03:06:00 Now, that's not to say that I wouldn't want to do more projects in writing and producing and stuff too, but this is a character that I just feel like I could tell as me. I wouldn't want to be in other movies. But again, you can call me a bullshitter if it comes down to it, but it's just not something that I'm really wanting to pursue. I can't promise that I wouldn't hijack your email and pretend to be you so I can rape release. You say yes?
Starting point is 03:06:26 Okay, sure. Ryan S, did you receive an email from you earlier this week? I don't know, Ryan S. I had to check. I'm not, I have to look. I'm not sure. maybe I have oh shit I have to double check I'm sorry
Starting point is 03:06:42 I don't know if the answer is that yes or no I have to look uh okay greenie from us if you play if I if you play the character it saves you time explain it to an actor than telling him he's doing it all wrong yeah I mean for this particular role I just I mean as where you talked about it
Starting point is 03:06:58 and Winston talked about it about you've read the script like martini is is Kelly and then that's and that's Danny You know, it's like that's who they are. So that's it. So thank you guys. Again, thank you for the positivity.
Starting point is 03:07:15 Thank you for the encouragement. As I said to every one of you today, if you're watching this stream, if every one of you here on, well, obviously in a live stream, but on the replay, chipped in 25 bucks for this one. That's it. Done. Make the show. We're going to the next thing.
Starting point is 03:07:36 Thank you. Appreciate. you and we'll see you on the flip side. Bye everybody. Bye. Peace.
