Welcome back, everybody.
It is Wednesday, and we are excited.
Thanks for joining us on The Big Thing.
It's myself.
It's Brett.
It's Steph.
And we are going to be talking about that scream trailer that dropped Eternals is coming up right around the corner.
Steph absolutely didn't see many Saints in Newark and give me some cockamamie.
Excuse why she didn't.
But there will be a lot of things that we're going to discuss.
Apparently, it's a home alone trailer that I don't give a shit about.
But Steph is going to tell us about it.
And she didn't watch it either.
but she's got a friend in it, so it's important.
So we're going to check all that stuff out.
We have a lot to go over today.
Enjoy it, because here it comes, you rotten skunks.
It's the big thing.
Welcome back, everybody.
Thanks for joining us here.
This is the first real show since back from New York.
I did my own show by myself.
It's somewhat real.
But I didn't have this character.
Hello.
Who's that?
YouTube.
Christian chose violence today.
Put me next to Chuckie.
Who is the?
Thank you to Universal for sending that, though.
Yeah, it is.
Not only did they send that.
They sent toothpaste.
No, they didn't send toothpaste, but I have toothpaste here.
But they did send
Chuckie.
He's got a new series coming out.
And they sent that that's...
That's insane.
It's really good, because I'll tell you what.
I had the...
We have that people who didn't even realize it.
Behind Brett, you got that mask back there?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, no.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Wow.
Well, they sent me that.
They sent me that during the Cliter Live days, and we did like a universal trip, and we dressed
up and stuff, and we, in one of our shows, and I, they had sent me that mask, but
that's always what I really wanted.
I mean, that's, that's, like, look at that thing.
That thing is.
It's not, that's frightening.
Seeing an adult in that is frightening.
This, this to me is cute.
Yeah, but it's your imagination that makes it frightening.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, I know what he does.
No, I'm just trying to.
Checking him out for weapons.
You think he's going to pop out.
Yeah, I think there's going to be a butcher knife in there.
I think he's breathing.
So we have a lot to talk about here.
It's going to be, it's going to be good.
I did a reaction to scream yesterday.
I didn't really give shit about this movie, to be honest,
because I thought the first movie loved, loved the first film.
That's the one with Drew Barrymore.
Yes, and it's iconic.
Because you're not a big horror fan.
No, but I've seen that one.
And it's iconic.
Like an iconic movie.
And then the other ones, I remember the Loon's being okay,
but they just kind of blend together.
And then it's like,
how much can you really do with it?
And the entire series has always been meta.
Like they always play off certain things.
Even the first one is meta.
So I was curious on how or what this was.
I was very confused and still have to be honest,
why they call it Scream and not Scream 5.
And someone told me that there's something,
I guess, like the way that it tails off and like...
Are they making the S the 5?
I don't know what they're doing.
I wish that they would do that, but they're not.
But it's just called Scream.
I don't know why.
It's probably because it's something that does, you know, that happens in the movie.
So I was curious for the trailer.
I'm like, alright.
Someone might scream.
It's very possible.
And someone might also die.
It looked like the exact same trailer for the first one or something.
It was like with different people.
I think that's kind of the point.
And I think that, you know, there's a lot of the same locations and a lot of things are happening.
I loved this trailer.
I loved this trailer.
I thought the trailer was, I was worried they were going to go too silly with it.
I remember thinking the first.
fourth one.
Like someone farted in the theater when we were there.
And I remember that being the most entertaining thing that I thought happened in the theater
at the time.
But it was,
but this trailer looked great.
This trailer looked really good.
And I thought Neff Campbell was going to eat it pretty quick, but it looks like she's
in the whole movie.
And Courtney Cox is in it, right?
She is.
I didn't realize her and David Arquette were coming back.
Yeah.
Which is great.
So, Seth, you saw this trailer.
Are you interested in this at all?
Kind of.
I'm a big Courtney Cox fan.
So I love to see.
especially because she doesn't do that many movies anymore.
She's going to eat it, though.
I know.
I really don't want to watch her die.
But I do like this franchise for horror.
It's in general.
It's pretty interesting and exciting.
And I like the cast for this one.
So it looks pretty fun.
But I really get scared.
Like when they start, like,
messing with your house alarm system.
How?
I loved that.
I love that part of it.
Because back when the Drew Barrymore Day,
they didn't have that, right?
Were we talking about that?
They had Star 6-9.
I was talking about...
Yeah.
We were watching Squid game.
There's just one part of it
where somebody picks up a phone.
And Lonnie goes,
is he going to hit Star 6-9?
And we were giggling our asses off.
And I'm like,
I don't think anybody would get that reference.
No, we would get that reference.
But they do...
They play with the alarm system.
How it keeps going off.
And I thought that was great.
Love that.
Yeah, really creepy.
The killers are getting more advanced.
Well, because they understand
how it all works.
And then even when the killer at the end
is like, it's an honor to meet you,
Sydney.
And they have the same kind of voice.
And the way it all play.
And what I liked about this trailer the most was the trend seems to shift and nobody's really talking about it of what they used to do.
And I guess they still do it, but not as much, was they were remaking everything, right?
They were remaking original movies.
And I guess it still happens sometimes.
And whether it's footloose or, which wasn't a bad remake to be honest, but there's all these remakes that happen.
Dune.
But Dune's different because Dune is not a remake of the film.
Dune is more of a.
telling of the novel.
Yeah.
So, but like a remake of the, of an actual, like, movie or property, it kept happening.
People were like, why are they remaking it this time?
Right.
They're maybe, there seems to be going away from that trend and just continuing or making prequels, right?
So perfect example is the Willy Waka movie.
Now, Willie Wanka, when the, when Tim Burton did it, it was a remake.
And it was terrible.
Like the first 10 minutes of that movie is actually really good.
And then Michael Jackson, I mean, Johnny DeVeyer,
shows up and it's like and it's so
shitty like the movie's shitty
it's a shitty movie I don't mind the movie it's a shitty
movie it is a shitty movie and
and they were and it's like nobody wanted
but it's yeah no one wanted at that point it's like why do you
remake that movie right still hits yeah
flip side is but I'm interested in seeing a young
Willy Wonka yeah if they can pull it off
if you know but it's but
Here's the thing for me is it doesn't any of these movies.
The Johnny Depp one doesn't ruin the original.
It's just more like why.
Why'd you do it?
As opposed to like this movie, if they do this movie the right way and it's cool and it kind of lends itself to the performance of Gene Wilder and everything to of why he built the chocolate factor and all that could be interesting.
You know, the Matrix is another one.
Instead of remaking it, they're doing something a little different.
They're continuing the franchise.
and many scenes in Newark doing a prequel series
or I talked about this on my review
is that people are, the biggest taboo
that nobody wants to touch is back to the future, right?
Yeah.
I don't want back to the future to be remade.
I'm all for some new kid fighting the Dolorian
stumbles upon it,
figures out a new adventure.
I think any,
because I think the cobra guy,
the cobra guy's proved
if it's handled with respect,
it can be done.
Those guys were actually rumored to be, because they posted something about how they wanted to work on,
back to the future, way before Cobra Kai.
And they got roasted, like annihilated.
Now, if they, if it was those guys who grabbed, I bet you people wouldn't be as skeptical.
But I think Zemeckis and, like, Spielberg don't want anybody to have anything to deal with it.
We talked about this the other day when I hosted one of the highest rated S-E-N shows.
Oh, yeah.
How did you do?
How did you do?
Amazing.
Yeah.
What was it?
What was it?
Tell me.
Ten of four bills.
Four bills.
Good for you.
Yeah.
I didn't get all freaked out.
I kind of actually hosted.
It was a hundred percent.
I was reading the articles and shit.
People like you, but.
I was like actually doing it on air because we didn't have Alex.
I had to do that.
I was like, oh, because he was in New York with us.
Yeah, yeah.
So I was too.
I had Brooklyn behind me.
Do you know how peaceful things are when Alex shows up anywhere?
Oh, I bet.
Like he's just a peaceful.
He really is.
He enters in silence and just makes everything.
When he's there, you're like,
Okay, things are going to be all right.
I think that's why he has trouble with a girlfriend
because they don't know he's around half the time.
He's like, oh, you're saying.
What you were saying about this one?
Oh, so we were talking about how I think I would much rather see a sequel to Willie Wonka.
I want to see, like, Charlie, like, lose his shit and destroy the factory,
and, like, he totally lets it go down the shit hole and, like, tries to get a new kid in or somebody to help him.
Just stick to the heroin?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I mean, like, that would be a fun story.
Like the chocolate factory was the wonderment of the show.
And like prior to that, it's, I don't know.
I mean, I haven't read the books.
I don't know what I want to see.
I'm okay with understanding.
I want to, because I think Timothy Chalameh is super talented.
Yeah.
And he's always doing this kooky dance thing in every movie that he's in.
But kooky dance works for me with Willy Wonka.
I think Willy Wonka is a kooky character, right?
Yeah.
So, Steph, do you give a shit about about this at all?
Yeah, I like the original law.
I think Gene Wilder is just an OG gangster.
for accomplishing the role in the way that he did.
And so it's hard to imagine.
And I think that's why Johnny Depp had such an issue
because he wanted to approach the character different,
but it really got a little weird.
I did like the stuff in the beginning, too,
where we went back to, like, his dad was a dentist.
I wonder if they're going to change the story.
I kind of hope that they do.
But I like Timothy Shalema.
I'm really excited to see him in Dune.
Those are two completely different projects.
But it's 2023, right?
It's still a long time away.
For that movie, yes.
But I think that I think what they did there by
releasing that picture, it's, it's always just like to test the waters of the audience,
to see what the audience is saying, how it, I think it's, I think his look has gotten a positive
response, but I think everybody's still the same thing like, like the kid looks good,
don't necessarily know if I care about the movie yet, but, but let's see, but it all goes back
to the scream conversation and that's same for me. Okay, we, we didn't, we're doing another
screen movie. And I said it like, it's like die hard, um, or, or Terminator, like,
Whenever they make the movies, I'm like crossing my fingers that it's going to be good, right?
It's like, there are a lot of people who are just like, just put an end to it.
I was talking to when we talked to Kalanowski about it, and he was saying how when Indiana Jones was like, no, no more Indiana Jones.
I'm like, keep trying to do it for me.
It's like, you're not going to ruin the other movies for me.
Keep trying.
And for me, it's all right.
I'm going to say there's now there's 10 movies in the franchise and two of them are good.
Yeah.
Because that's where Terminator is going.
We always talk about the prequels of Star Wars being made for the kids.
I think a lot of times we forget, like with venom too.
I really think that was made for kids.
And I think that like these new store introductions of Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory is, I'm wondering what the kids will think of it.
They might really love it.
Yeah.
See how your youngest likes it.
See how the youngest, yeah, for sure.
But she probably, she'll never sleep again.
She is Willie Wonka.
Yeah.
You're talking about scream.
Oh, Venom.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, right.
No, the little one won't be, she will be like,
I don't know. She is venom. I don't know. Like the little one, well, although I think my wife put it in her head, though, because the other day, she started watching Paddington.
Oh, she watched, she watched Paddington animated, was cracking up, loved it, showed her the trailer for the movie.
She really liked, she said, I want to watch the live action one, right? And then my wife goes in front of her, well, I don't know. There's some scary things in there. She might get out. I'm like, well, you just set it up. You just set it up.
Because then she's like, she's like, because the villain is scary. And then she's going to be upset.
And then sure shit.
She's watching.
And the second Nicole Kibben shows up, she's like, I don't like this movie.
It's scary.
I'm like, there's no fucking way she brings that up.
But my wife doesn't say anything.
My wife just, that's the excuse for my wife to go, I told you.
But it's interesting you brought up Paddington because we were talking about this on
S-E-N that I love the fact that for this movie with Timothy Shalame, they're getting the director
of Paddington, too, which is one of the highest rated films ever.
So that's a kind of a good sign of the direction.
Yeah, the tone that they're going in.
Yeah, I'm with you.
I think that to me is something.
I'm pretty pumped about it to see how it's going to kind of, you know.
Again, yeah, I'm saying like I don't really, I would prefer a sequel, but I want to, if I see a trailer, I can be convinced.
So without seeing anything, I'm not really too excited about it, but I'm willing to give it a try.
Yeah, yeah, I'm not going to.
And I love what you said because I don't think people say that enough is that, yeah, it doesn't ruin a franchise.
if you've got one bad movie
because you have the good ones to go back to it.
I think that's people forget that.
It's like,
you totally run Star Wars because of this.
No.
Watch the other ones.
Watch the other ones.
Just don't watch it.
And it's like it's not like they're not going to make more stuff.
Yeah.
And it's like,
well,
that means if those people are running it,
then it'll never really good.
I'm so curious, though,
because you know,
people know, like,
how I continuously,
every time I watch The Last Jedi,
it's like someone's farting into my nose.
And every time.
And it wasn't like that back.
in the day. However, it doesn't mean I'm going to, like, I am not one of these people that are going to
that's going to say, Ryan Johnson, ruin everything. He's the worst. Because guess what? Limes out
is pretty fucking good. And his breaking bad episodes are some of the best episodes ever. Does that
mean if someone, this is what people don't understand to. If, if, I don't think he should do it.
But if someone, if they offered him Mandalorian, right, I'd be all for it. And because people are like,
no, he's going to ruin it. It's like, no, because fast.
Navarro is not going to give him the same amount of freedom that everyone else didn't.
He's just going to go, because he's a class A director.
He's going to go, okay, here you go.
This is the script.
Do your thing, brother.
Yeah.
Do your thing.
Do what you did for Osmondias.
Do what you did for the fly episode.
Do what you did.
He's directed a lot of television.
And it's like, people just want to put that flag into the ground and go, that's what it is.
And every situation is so different.
He got wedged into the seventh movie in a franchise.
Right.
And with someone starting it after a massive gap of years.
It's completely different.
And then told to do whatever you want.
Yeah.
And that's a bad move in general.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So lots to.
So be nice to him.
Treat Ryan nice.
Lots.
Lots to talk about.
But hey, Brett, shave your balls.
I did the other day.
Come on, Brett.
It's disgusting.
Shave your ball bag.
Well, yeah, because there's nothing scarier than that.
Even if you think it's spooky to see a black cat on Halloween.

But, you know, at this point, though, from being on this show, if you start, so we'll get
into your dating life, which we always do on every single show.
But if you're at this point, because you've been on this show for so long and because
you've heard of Manscapes, you know, if you, is it a gift that you?
you would give to someone?
Is it something they already have to have before venturing into month one?
It definitely would be a gift I gave to someone.
But I will say this.
I was using someone's bathroom.
And I opened the drawer and I saw Manscape.
Oh, yeah.
I was like, nice.
Good move.
Yeah.
I was 100%.
I was really, really happy about it.
Would you take offense if Steph gave you manscape when you first started to date?
It depends on what it was.
It depends on it.
If it was like, if it was one of these.
But it was like, if I saw the bald yoder.
first, they'd be nervous.
She's like, try this.
Babe, what about this?
Right.
But it depends, though, because if it's like,
hey, try this now.
Yeah.
And then, you know, we'll see what happens.
It's like, that's what it takes.
Or stop. Oh, I see you have a corded
razor, you know, like, try this up.
This is a good...
Honey, I was just thinking, you know, the fact
that I saw that you were doing this and you were complaining
about it, so I figured this.
I'm not...
That's why she never touched my ball.
Right, not... Boy, your ball stink.
Take it.
Wait, this is all the deodorant.
Why didn't you get me?
That's right.
So get yourself some of that stuff.
People have been getting it and checking out and using that code.
It's so easy, especially for this show.
It's the most appropriate, if there's ever an appropriate show for Manscape to sponsor, it's a big thing.
Yeah, 100%.
It just goes hand in hand.
I think balls are managed everything.
Everything about it.
Okay.
So you didn't watch many saints.
The Miniature Saints of New York.
I turned you into Sopranos.
And you didn't watch it.
I know.
I know.
What's wrong with you?
No more Gabba goofy.
Are you liking the series now?
I'm obsessed with the series.
I don't want it to end, which is the problem.
Are you in 6A or 6B?
6A, almost in 6B though.
Yeah, it's getting so good.
I know that there's about to be some serious deaths.
Do you know how it ends?
I know about one of the deaths of...
No, but do you know how the series ends?
No.
Oh, I feel like...
I'm going to be upset.
I feel like you're going to hate it at first.
And I think once I explain it to you, I think you're going to like it.
Okay.
Oh, you mansplanned it to me.
Man scaped it to me.
So listen to here, sweetie.
Yeah. You don't get it.
No, no. It has nothing to do with man, woman, or anything.
It's just a matter of it.
You've gone this long longer.
Yes.
Wow.
Yeah, because I did not like it the first time I saw.
And then after doing a lot of reading.
Yeah.
Because I watched talking sopranos and they talk.
And Jamie Lynn Sigler was talking about it.
I don't hate it.
It's crazy.
It was like I didn't know what you would do.
Like, I mean, I like the fact that I don't like open-ended things.
Well, don't say.
I'm not saying how to, that's just all I'm saying.
But like, I want you to explain a movie at the end on a platter.
I normally feel the same way.
Tell me what it is.
But this one was like.
There's something about it, especially when you go back and you look.
That's why I haven't gotten there yet on the rewatch.
Like I got to the point where I thought I was going to finish the entire series by the time I got to many scenes.
But I couldn't wait.
I had to watch many scenes.
So I started watching it, finished it.
I've seen it now.
I mean, I've gone back and watched certain parts that I really liked.
And so with many saints, when I did my review, I've seen a lot of the same thing.
Everyone thinks there should have been a miniseries.
A non-movie.
Yeah, and I feel like that.
I mean, I thought it was a verse.
Should have been a miniseries.
And I was talking, I mentioned this in my review.
So Josh Horowitz was at the New York event, right?
He competed in.
And he was telling me, I mean, because there,
there really isn't anyone that Josh Harwitz doesn't interview.
Like he interviews everybody.
So we're talking about many scenes.
He's like,
I just interviewed David Chase.
I'm like, of course you did.
You're the best.
He's the best.
And he's,
and he's,
well,
he was saying he's definitely,
he said,
I don't get intimidated by celebrities,
but like,
it's pretty hard not to with David Chase.
But we were talking about him and I was talking about how I wanted it to be a miniseries.
And he's like,
don't tell David Chase that.
He wants to do movies.
Like he wants to do full on movies.
And I think that the way,
It's so ironic considering that this is the dude that like revolutionized television,
but he was kind of forced into television.
But I don't think he's so old school that I think a lot of people are in this old school way
that they don't realize that to me, and I said this again in the review,
I think that TV is a better medium for a lot of properties to tell better stories.
And I think that in this two hours,
movie, which was Many Saints, if they had eight hours or ten hours to tell, I think you would have
done a lot more. I think people would have lost their minds over this thing. But he was on many,
he was on the, they were doing the Many Saints in Newark recap on Talking Sopranos with
Steve Shrippa and Michael Rioli. And he talks about how, they asked him about mini series.
Like, nah, he's like, I'll do movies. I'll do movies. And it's like, you're going to have the same
problem. He's going to do it. Because that movie, by the way, this is something I cover.
on Monday's episode.
Everybody,
it ate shit at the box office.
Yeah.
4.5 million.
It fucking annihilated on streaming.
Yeah.
Annihilated.
Did it really well.
Yes.
HBO,
their model is doing pretty well for them.
Their streaming model is working,
but I feel like they should have just made it a streaming movie instead of going
to the box office.
That's my point with David Chase.
Yeah.
He wants these things to be these big movies.
Wouldn't let it happen.
But that's,
but the point is you captured everybody through television.
Yes.
So that's why I'm not.
I'm not surprised because the model for HBO Max is working.
However, the movies that bombed in the theater for HBO Max also bombed on HBO Max except many saints and newer.
Like the in the Heights?
Yeah.
Bombed on both.
It don't, didn't do good streaming numbers?
No.
Then there was the other one, the, the cry macho.
Yeah, crime macho.
There's a Sotomberg movie.
Yeah, I don't remember which one.
Yeah, the Hugh Jackman one one, bombed on both.
But not this one because this one is this one is all about TV.
That's what that's yeah.
And the show is now trending top number one on HBO.
It was up like 750% or something crazy.
Everybody was doing what you guys were doing for it.
But it's so crazy and I feel bad for the people in the old school who are not realizing.
It's like when the A-list actors and celebrities didn't want to do TV and now they all are.
And that's who we're talking about because it's week by week.
Yeah.
It's a conversation.
Yeah.
And well, David Chase is in the 70s, I believe.
And I think that he's got that.
He's always wanted to make movies.
He wants to, he's his filmmaking.
He wants to make movies.
So he was talking about how he would want to do like the young Tony
Suprano movie or something along those lines.
And it's like, no, you can make eight movies.
You can make eight one-hour movies.
And it's just, and who are we to tell David Chase, right?
And that's probably the mentality has.
But he's set in his ways.
He's stubborn dude.
And it's also why he's able to be a successful.
successful as he is.
But I just feel, I'm going to feel the same way if that movie comes out.
Will I eat it up, getting super excited to see it?
Of course I will.
But will I be feeling the same way afterwards?
Like, we need more.
Like there was so, like the problem with this movie is that there's like a bunch of different
stories going on, but it's two hours.
You just said about how you never want Sopranos to end.
And that's six, well, seven seasons, really.
Yeah, it's seven seasons.
This is a two, this is basically two episodes.
And it's over like that.
And it's, and they jam everything in.
And we're so in, it just, it's a weird concept to think even when we're breaking it down why they chose a movie because we're so in, we are used to seeing these characters like simmer on emotion.
Yes.
Yes.
And that's, and so I, some of the big criticisms that I saw that I don't agree with, although they, they, David Chase also says on this show, he was upset with the first trailer that came out.
Because HBO decided to put that trailer out, and it does focus, and it makes it look like a young Tony Soprano movie.
Yeah.
Right?
And it's not.
It's called many saints.
That means Maltesante.
It's what it's called.
It tells you in the title that's what this is about.
However, when you market it as a young Tony Soprano movie, that's what people, oh, man, right?
So David Chase was pretty upset about that because he said that's not what this movie is.
It's a Maltesanti movie.
So the argument, though, is people, I saw a bunch of people who were saying this is, they were pitching this as the Tony
soprano origin story and it's not that that i disagree with that they were pitching it no no no i agree
they were pitching it oh yeah i disagree that it wasn't a tony suprano origin story um doesn't mean he has to be
in the movie the entire time but when you look at the the overall theme of the film and you look at the
overall through line of the film and where it ultimately goes if you do not think it isn't a tony
soprano movie, then you're not watching the film because it's every single action and every
single thing that happens ultimately leads into what this guy could have been and what he ultimately
became. And I think that it also teases up the second movie. Please make it a minute.
It just would be so, I mean, that mini series, if I'm HBO Max, especially after looking at it,
because all of the numbers for Sopranos have jumped up and skyrocketed since this, right?
the amount of streams that it got was,
I can't remember all the records that it set for,
it's one of the highest streamed movies this year.
Really?
Yeah, it is.
Yeah, and it's,
we're doing really well.
If I'm HBO Max,
I'm unloading trucks of cash on the David Chases
and extending his deal and saying,
hey, we'll give you a little bit more money.
Make eight episodes.
Yeah.
Or make 10 episodes because instead of those,
because imagine those,
Those episodes, that movie that did that,
imagine each one of those episodes doing those numbers.
If your HBO max, you should be drooling into a bowl
and saying, we got to convince this motherfucker to do a miniseries.
They might do it.
Do you, what do you?
He won't do it?
Looking on the film, though, do you think it enhanced the show for you
or kind of just was an addition?
It was an addition.
Because there are, again, I just don't think they have enough time.
I think that it certainly shows some things about Dickey Maltesanti,
but there's other things that you're like,
well, they didn't really show this part, which I always thought I was going to get.
They could have done a little bit more there.
My least favorite part of the whole movie, though, is Silvio.
And he's my favorite camera.
Oh, man.
No.
He's very, I think he's a little too SNL for me.
Paulie is great.
And I didn't know that the guy that played Pauli until afterwards was in date night, not date night, not date night, game night.
Game night.
He plays the kind of stupid one, the Matt.
Billy Magnuson.
That's the one with Bateman, Jason Bateman.
Oh, really?
He's, he's, his,
Polly is perfect.
I love Polly.
My,
my problem with the Sylvia one is I said he's too cartoonish and some of the
comments back were, well,
Silvio in the series was cartoonish, to an extent, yes.
But sometimes even,
even when he talked like this,
he would, um, I don't know.
I understand.
But he would, it was,
there was still something like that was,
who he was and going back to the same point.
He had time to grow.
Yeah.
To be fair to this actor.
This is two hours.
There's a scene at the end that I thought he was great as Sylvia and that's the thing.
And they did this silly thing with his hair that I don't love.
And like, can I spoil one thing for him?
Because he's bald, right?
And then the wig.
And everyone's like, you know, no, there was a wig?
Sure.
But like, dude, he's like, he's supposed to be like in his 30s.
And he's like, I mean, like, almost like, so silly like comb over bald.
And it's shtick.
It's schick.
It's like, but, you know, if David Chase says Sylvia was bald,
then David Chase says Sylvia was bald.
So two hours, 40 minutes.
Still not enough time to maybe give it a little bit?
More time.
But like not to make it where you were like, yes, that's what I needed a little bit.
Maybe.
You definitely need like an, you know, episodic eight episode.
I think.
I think so.
I think it allows you to focus on more than,
because Dickie Maltesante is the main guy inside of this thing.
And then you've got, because of his story, what's going on with him and the Raleo side of it,
then you have the stuff going on with the riots, the race riots, and how it ties in there.
And then you don't get enough time to really grow on the DeMayo crime family.
And I think that's where a lot of the Sopranos fans are getting upset with.
Like there's not a lot of, like, it's present, but it's not dove into it.
Yeah.
It's more about Maltesanti, this stuff that's going on there.
The stupid comments that I saw, I will say, oh, that's what happens when you try to
to go, whoa, this is nothing to do with that.
I think sometimes, I will say this, though.
Sometimes I think that people jump on a trend to make sure and they don't want to get in trouble
so they make certain things happen.
And that certainly does happen.
And I think that it's good to give people opportunities, but sometimes it's like, okay, does it work?
And I always use the example of, like, the Avengers Endgame versus Mandalorian, right?
So Avengers End game, there's a shot where all the women show up and they're just kind of standing there.
And it's like, it's a cool moment, but it seems forced.
Then you get the Mandalorian, what has Ketakoff, Gina Carrano, Mingna, and then...
Rose.
And then Sasha Banks.
Yes.
Yes.
So, and that to me is that was just like, they all were there just kicking ass and it made sense.
But that's just like certain moments where it, that has nothing to do with the war.
Neither does the Avengers do.
It's just forced moments, right?
They've mentioned this in the Sopranos many times over about how they, that's,
these race riots were going on at the time and how it affected things and how it changed over Newark
and what was what was happening. It was so integrated in their storylines, too. They always talked about race.
100%. It had nothing to do with it, but because, you know, of, and they're like, well, because of everything that
was going on with over the last year, they had to integrate it. This movie was made years ago. It was
supposed to come out last year, but it was pushed back. You can't talk about Italian American culture without
talking about race. You can't. And it, and it was part of it. It was part of that story.
or role when they started it with how the way they're affected young Tony which as much as
Michael Gandalfini is the talk of this movie and should be it's the young kid that plays
Tony that's also very good how do you do good great great and and that the that part is like the
first 40 minutes of the movie really out is fantastic and it so some great different movement so anyway
I'm looking forward to seeing what you think okay now that I know I can see it without finishing
I'll just see it this week.
You should.
And then there's other stuff.
Halloween's coming up too, guys.
So if you want to get scared out of your minds,
Shutter.
I'm very excited to be working with Shutter.
Because summer is over.
There is a chill in the air,
and spooky season has arrived.
Everybody wants to watch scary movies,
and there's no better place for horror movies than Shutter.
It's essentially the Netflix of horror films.
It has kicked off its annual 61 days of Halloween,
which is a two-month,
Super Size Celebration full of new movies and series like a new season of Creep Show and BHS 94.
The brand new installment in the acclaimed found footage anthology franchise.
That's just the start of Shudder's unbeatable Halloween lineup.
There are new specials from Alvira and Joe Bob Briggs,
a new season of the Boulay Brothers, Dragula,
their docu series behind the monsters on the origins and pop culture dominance of your favorite modern movie monsters.
And there's so much more.
Some of the titles I have is Carrie, Martyrs, Link.
Creep Show Season 3, Elvirus, 40th anniversary, very scary, very special, special.
Joe Bob's Halloween hoe down the medium behind the monsters, horror noir.
Now, if you didn't know anything about Shutter, let me tell you.

And they rave about it.
They love it.
They use it all the time.
And it is great, it's great time to use it obviously during Halloween.
But in general, for those horror fanatics, I'm always getting asked about doing a horror division in Shmowdown.
And people who start studying horror on Shutter, they're going to do pretty well.
Shutter.com.
Get started streaming the best horror, thriller, and supernatural content.
Do it. Go to Shutter.com and use that promo, big thing.
S-H-U-D-D-D-R.
The link is in the description of this video.
So go and check it out.
We're going to post that out also.
Let you guys know about it, but Shutter.
Brett, do you have a big, you're a big horror guy back?
You are, right?
When we were, not recently I have to do it.
him on my own.
Yeah.
Lonnie Haytson.
But when I was a kid, we did the, we would rent the really bad VH.
Like I saw, you know, Toxic Avenger when it came out.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And that was like big time freaked us out.
But it was, it was so bad, but it was, you know.
Yeah, but it was a cold classic.
It was scary and disgusting and funny.
So this is something for you then.
You go back in time and watch a lot of those.
They had great titles.
Oh, there was one that was like, it was, it wasn't the title.
It was something about somebody was scalping.
It was hair today, gone tomorrow.
I just love that.
Yeah.
I'd watch Alvira.
I feel like there's, I don't know if I'm just like noticing it now,
but I feel like there's a huge resurgence in horror fans and more horror fans.
I'll tell you what, you're not wrong.
And I think that horror woke up a little bit more over the last couple of years because they changed it up.
I was getting sick to death.
After seeing all these horror films with Ellis, we would go in and it would be the same shit.
Jump scare.
Who's the killer?
There they are.
With no purpose either.
No purpose.
No good story.
No good characters.
and they would get like really bad actors
and they would have a cheap budget
and it's just the same shit formula
to try to just make money
and that's all it was.
But then you get the James Wands of the world
who are doing not just the saw stuff that he did
but like the...
Then he gets into the Conjuring
and like Conjuring was one of my favorite movies
that I saw that year because it's scary
but it's detailed, there's something to it
and that's the kind of thing that I really like
and I think that they're doing more of that stuff now
because of those reasons alone.
Yeah, and I also think that for some people,
there is a fatigue with comic book movies and people are like with the getouts and movies like that
there's a different excitement towards it there is and you know what it's funny because i touched that on
monday and i think that it's because anytime something is the top dog at the moment people always say
they're either they're tired of it or they don't want to but and the way that i equated it on
monday was so let's say that we're all a fan of a certain band right the three of us will go see that
any time that they play.
We'll go to the theater,
we'll go say it because that's the,
and they're selling out all these big arenas.
It doesn't mean that people who like a different band
have to go see that band.
They can go see their other,
they can go see their other band, right?
And the other, because it's like Scorsese,
not a fan of that band.
No.
But it doesn't mean you have to publicly smash that band
because that band is selling more tickets
than your band.
Yeah.
There's so many other bands that you can go watch.
So many others, but they think because it's that
whenever the top band is the one,
then it's a,
So it's like, oh, this is, you've sold out.
And it's like, it doesn't mean that, like, because I hate to tell you this,
if you didn't know already, comic movies ain't going anywhere.
What?
It's not, it just didn't, it's like, ah, this fad will end.
No, it won't.
It won't.
The Marvel band, the D.C. band, Star Wars band.
They are rocking out stadiums.
And it's the, and guess what, motherfuckers, they're keeping the stadiums open.
Like, because the little bands, they ain't keeping it open.
They're playing on the, in the Netflix stadium.
Yeah.
Or, you know, the little, the little cool bar.
and they're still around and they're kicking ass
and they're actually, because those little bars are opened up,
they're actually able to play to more people.
They're on hoopla.
Yeah, right.
Hupla.
That's the one you get through the library.
Library.
A little LaBer.
We had to get hoopla to watch a show on the alienist.
What the hell is that?
Oh, it's creepy as hell.
I think I've heard of this.
Yeah, yeah, you should check it out.
I really enjoyed it.
You did you?
Yeah, yeah.
It's, I don't know the name of any of the actors, but it's good.
Really selling it.
Like, no, it's, it's set in the olden times.
You know how good I am I reviewing things.
The olden times.
It's like they're all dressed old and shit, but it's like gruesome murders and then trying
to solve this, you know, without the technology we have and things like that.
And they called people, I think, that's alienists who, like, studied or tried to solve these
types of.
Yeah, I think I have heard of it.
What's the other one that you watched with Lonnie last week you were telling me about on,
on Netflix?
Squid games?
No, what was it?
Catapult.
Catapult was the one you were telling me.
Oh, no.
Yeah, it was catapult.
What the one you told?
Oh, no, it can't.
Yeah, okay.
Which is the one on Netflix?
Yeah, the catapult.
Yeah.
With the, with the squirrel.
Come on.
Come on.
You don't even try?
The one with the squirrel, you know.
I already screwed it up.
The Jedi squirrel.
And all the times we've been setting this shit up for a year and a fucking half.
And you just bailed on it before you can even get in the fucking cataple?
You haven't died in a while.
I'm not used to.
Unbelievable.
Yeah.
Catapult.
Well, because I'm like, no, no, no.
I get so used to, like, actually taking it seriously sometimes.
I'm like, Catapult, what was that?
Maybe I did.
Let me go back.
Let me check my letterbox.
So what about letterbox?
Did you guys watch Squid Game?
Did you watch it?
Oh, yeah.
I'm starting it this week.
Fun, it's, you know, so our podcast guy, the guy who does that, who tells us, like, you know, the trends and gets us the advertisers.
And he told me about it, like, weeks ago.
And right before even started coming out.
I'm like, I don't know what that is.
I'm like, I'm not going to watch it right now.
And I still am not going to watch it right now.
Now more so because it's just everybody's talking about it.
It's already people are doing reactions to it and everything.
And I just, I don't know how much time I have.
But it's really good.
You like it?
It's not, yeah.
Is it only seven episodes?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You like it a lot?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I think the thing is that, you know, you are going to get a lot of this.
Like, I'm not going to jump on this bandwagon, you know, like the Ted Lassel thing or whatever.
But I do think it.
It is, it's a very point hit show.
It's something that I wanted to be a part of the conversation.
That's why we dropped some other things for a little bit and got into this.
Like, we even skipped a couple Ted Lassoes, which was probably not a good idea.
We should have palate cleansed with some lassoes after this.
But no, it's, I think it's great.
And I know I had one gripe, but I know why they did it.
I like the very end of it.
I did not like it.
Oh, so you watched the whole entire series.
Oh, okay.
But I know why they did it.
But it was ahead of the game on this on.
Yeah, we got into it.
Yeah, yeah.
What was the, oh, and did you see Bond?
No.
Okay.
No, I've heard, I've heard mixed things about it.
I heard, everybody was talking about how the ending,
ending's very, like, mixed.
Yes.
And that's two hours and 40 minutes, right?
Yeah, but that one I'm okay with it being long,
because it's like the last Craig Bond,
so I'm cool with that being.
I've heard it's like kind of a similar reaction to Star Wars
where like the diehard bonds of all the Bond franchise didn't love the ending.
Oh, really?
And then the newer fans really liked it.
Yeah, I don't have enough to talk about with it.
But I'm curious on all those.
The numbers weren't as good as they expected.
Well, it's because it's three-hour film.
Like, how are you going to have that many time slots in a theater?
I mean, yeah.
I mean, there are some three-hour movies that are crushed in box office,
maybe at a different time, you know, but they're, I mean, end game is almost three hours long.
Yeah.
Different.
Different, different.
But, I mean, it's still a big franchise.
and I was, people were pointing out that I was wrong about it,
but I still did really well internationally.
And it hasn't come out in China yet.
Or Australia,
which is two of their biggest markets.
So I think it's actually going to do really well box office-wise at the end of the day
when we look at their numbers.
But of course,
they were setting themselves up for failure when they had to break a billion dollars
in a pandemic.
Is that what a billion dollars?
Yeah.
How much did it cost to make that movie?
I think it was like,
$400 million.
Yeah, $400 million?
Yeah.
That's stupid.
Yeah.
That's a lot of money.
There's an unbelievable amount of money.
It's like Shang Chi didn't break a billion.
Right.
Well, Shang Chi did what, 600 mil?
Yeah.
Or they just hit 700, I believe.
700?
Which is still really good.
This is just so like I feel bad too.
We haven't.
Did you watch Black Widow yet?
Because it's on Disney Plus.
That's what we're, that's tonight.
Because I forgot about it because we were doing Squid Game and I'm like, oh, shit.
I was looking for, remember I told you how much I was looking forward to it finally hitting Disney Plus.
I got the blue race I started watching it.
I was bored.
Oh, really?
That's pretty bored.
What about Yelina?
Who's that?
Yelina, the sister.
She's good.
Orange Pew.
I want her own standalone film.
Yeah, she's good.
I got to watch.
I'm probably going to watch it again.
I was tired when I started it, but I was, I was bored.
I could have projected that.
It just seems to me like that.
I like when things kind of change up a little bit.
And this one seems like it's.
And it should have come out.
You're on the, it should have come out earlier camp.
I think so.
I mean, to be fair, I didn't finish it.
So I could watch the second half and go, oh, I didn't mind.
I'm going to restart it and watch it again, beginning.
Like, there's stuff that I like, for sure.
It's just, I don't know, I guess.
And again, comparing it to, like, the television shows and things that are going on.
I just get more invested with TV.
It's so funny, people get so mad at everything.
But, like, when I tweeted out something when we were talking about, I think it was Sopranos,
and I just said, to me, film is just a better, I mean, TV is just a better medium than film right now and to tell stories.
You don't know about movies
Movies, it's always better
I don't know shit about shit
Yeah, he's old
I know
Did you watch what if?
I watched a lot of them
I haven't watched
I think the last
What was the last one I watched
The Doctor Strange one?
Oh yeah you have quite a bit
I'm like three or four behind
Okay
Yeah
Because it's interesting
I'm not gonna spoil anything
But the final episode
Definitely opens up
Questions about Black Widow
I would say
Okay
Yeah I'm gonna
I'm going to finish both because I want to be caught up.
I really wish that I would see Shang Chi before I see Eternals, but that's probably not going to happen.
Because I'm going to try to see Eternals at the actual.
It's probably going to be the, I'm crossing my fingers that it'll be the first movie I see back in the theater.
Shang Chi isn't playing in theater.
No, I mean, in streaming.
It's just theater.
Is it in theaters right now still?
I think it's still in theaters, but it's set to premiere, I believe, November 4th on Disney Plus.
Right. So I mean, I wonder how much if it ties into Eternals at all.
I don't think it's, I'm going to be lost. I hope I don't get lost.
I don't think so. Okay. Because I do want to see it.
I could do an empty maybe mid-afternoon for that. I might go.
I've got a stack of AMC tickets from our dinnets.
I'm like, it's so sad.
Well, that was the other thing is that I'm getting, now it's, now it's just conversations with with the wife at home.
But like, I think New York made me a little bit more comfortable with going out and stuff too,
because.
Oh, you were on a flight.
I was on a flight.
I was on two flights.
But then I was in the comedy club,
and the comedy club is, I mean,
they check cards everywhere you go in New York.
But in California,
they're starting to do that now too.
So that's one part of it.
Excuse me.
The other part is that it,
and there is no mass mandate in New York.
Oh, I didn't know that.
And if there is,
nobody was abiding by it.
I'll tell you that.
But here, I think here there is
because of checking cards.
It was at the bars and everything too.
And like afterwards we went to because we did the two comedy shows.
We did one on Thursday night, one on Friday night,
and then obviously the show on Saturday night.
And there were a lot of people messed up on Saturday,
which I understand there was a lot of people there.
But yeah, I noticed that.
And because I know you guys were checking,
but then they actually did too.
So spoiler for people who haven't watched the event,
I think at this point, I mean, we started recording this on a Tuesday,
So I'm probably going to make the
The event live so it's available to watch.
So if you want to skip past this,
I'm going to spoil some of the stuff that happened.
So you've been warned, warned.
The event was canceled.
Yes.
How much of a fucking boss is Marisol McKeon?
I was, I, she, I think is my favorite competitor ever.
Yeah.
She, like, does something to me.
Yeah.
When she speaks, she gives me chills.
Yeah.
She has such a commanding voice and presence.
She's a superstar.
She's a fucking.
She's a fucking star.
Yeah.
And, like, she just has the coolest fucking look.
Yeah.
She's respectful, but, but takes no shit.
Right.
And knows her shit.
And she's only, she now she has joined a group.
There's only five people to ever defend that championship.
She did it within three weeks.
I love her.
She won the title three weeks ago and then defend against Chance who was really good.
Really good.
And didn't have to answer her three or her five.
No.
She, she is no fucking joke and she does it respectfully, but also is like, I will, like, kick
your ass.
Yeah.
And she backs.
it up. Yeah. She's won six matches
this year and then has not lost.
Six and a, she's that bitch.
And she's now, and now she is
headlining spectacular. Yeah.
I can't wait to watch her
at spectacular. You're going to be there. Yeah. You're going to be there.
Hell yeah. I cannot, we,
she was on Sien and I was like, I can't wait
to meet you. It's going to be so fun to
actually see her. Yeah, she kind of makes us look
like dummies. She's so good.
She's so good. We played some game
with like naming actors.
She just nailed it. She's the champ.
And she's so good.
It was great.
And the audience loves her.
Loves.
Screaming.
I have not heard anyone get,
I think that someone who has risen to that kind of superstardom that quick,
Roka when he first hit the scene,
like from being able to really grab character and everything too.
But like chanting in the audience,
I haven't heard people chant like that since Murrell.
Like they were screaming and yelling for her.
She's like a megastar.
The Marl Street.
It was when they're chanting Merrill Street
And then she spins Merrill Streep
It's like
It's like a fairy tale
He didn't he
He did it on the re on the rewunch
But like but that was after like a second spin
Right like they asked her for it
She gave it to him and then took it
And I mean she's she's
She's like she's like yeah she is absolutely like
Heaven sent as far as for the business too
Yeah
She's like she is everything like
She was taking pictures with little kids like
like everybody wanted to take pictures with her.
Men love her, women love her.
Like, she's just, she's incredible.
Yeah, she, like, really respects the game,
which is cool to watch someone, you know,
take over the belt like that twice now
and respect the game and has been a fan of the game
and now playing, it's a fairy tale story.
She's a sweeter, and she found her in the crowd.
Oh, my God.
And to be, like, you were saying commanding,
but not, you don't hate her.
Like, it's just like,
no, you respect her.
You always want to watch.
Yeah, she backs it up.
You know, so something about that.
I don't think I've told this on the air yet.
How could I have?
So her promo that she cut, which was great.
Yes.
So I wasn't having, I wasn't planning on having her do a promo because I thought that she,
she has said that she's introverted.
Nope.
I don't buy it.
No.
She's a performer.
She is a performer.
So at the bar, I think it was the night before after the comedy show, she came up to me.
She's like, hey, I wanted to, I want the mic on Saturday.
I said, you're a fucking champion.
You want the mic.
You get the mic.
What do you what do you like let's work on what you're gonna say she'll hear just some of the points that I'd want to hit
She's like I want to make it very clear that like you know I'm on the first woman that went it
It was with women staying with the woman and I was like fuck yeah
Yeah, like let's do it but let's you know let's let's let's figure out some just the maneuvering of it
And like and she just she just owned it she was ready
She owns it and it's not annoying and it's just like so powerful
Yeah, and you just want to root for her so fucking bad people are gonna lose their she's headlining
spectacular. People are going to lose it.
Downtown Los Angeles, if you can't be there.
You got to be there. You have to go now.
To see Marisol now, like,
headlining, no matter who she's going to play,
it's going to be a show. I'm sure once this drops
to the tickets, the sales will go up.
I mean, that was this amazing.
Well, her shirts, too, is the other thing.
I want a lady justice shirt. Everybody wants
her shirts now. Now I'm going to get a shirt that says,
I want a lady justy shirt.
My daughter wants one. She said today. She's like,
I want a lady justice shirt. Like, the justice is served.
Yes.
And all those, yeah, it's just so good.
But you bitches were missed at the comedy show, man.
I know.
I mentioned New York one more time.
I'm going to jump across.
Yeah, no.
Every foe, every tweet, Instagram.
I was like, fuck you.
This looks so fun.
It was a blast.
I heard your shows killed.
Shows were fun.
You know what?
You would appreciate it about the Thursday show.
So we get to the Thursday show and I get in there and I'm looking at.
I think the second show was like 130 people sold out.
You couldn't move.
right the first show was i think like 55 or 60 but there were like 10 schmodown fans everybody else
was just oh nice new york comedy club patrons they were not there to they were just there to see a comedy
show yeah which i loved yeah because then i said okay wait a minute now i can practice everything that i want
to practice for tomorrow night and then not get that cushion that you're going to get on friday night
right from the from the audience who already knows you're there and and it was a great set it was
It was fun.
And I mean, both Ken and Jen Sturger destroyed on Friday night for sure.
And then Thursday, we all felt the same way.
It was just like, okay, gearing up and let's get that workout in, with good sets.
And then, yeah, and then leading into Friday night, we, I mean, Ken, Ken had a great,
Ken had a line that reminded me of, like, one of your jokes.
It was, son of a bitch.
But that kind of, but that kind of writing was really good.
And then Jen has one.
I don't want to ruin her joke, but it's such a brilliant joke.
It was really fucking funny.
And she said it on Thursday.
And then she said it on a Friday.
And it was like it really, it killed.
So what's the topic?
I still don't.
I don't know.
I don't want to because I think that we're going to do something.
You know, I plan on trying to do like,
spectacularly we're probably going to do a show on that Friday night beforehand.
We're probably going to do a comedy show with a bunch of people.
So whether or not she's on, I don't want to ruin it for anybody if they're on.
But, but yeah, anyway.
So we had, we had a blast.
It was a lot of fun, New York.
And then at this point, the Marisol match is going to be on the Shmodown channel.
Because I think after this taping, I'm going to go make it live.
So if you never watched the Shmodown before, or you haven't watched in a little bit, check out Marisle.
Yeah.
Marisle is, she should be your ticket back in because she is, she is the, there have been some, we had a lot of good talent that have come through.
And there's, like, any sport or anything, too, there's always like the superstars, like Dan Merrill, Andrew Guide, Ben Bateman, Clark Wolf.
Rachel Cushing, John Roca, Marisol McKee.
Yeah.
I mean, you know, and the list goes on.
Mike Kalanowski, obviously, Smets.
I mean, there's a lot of, there's a lot of big, big stars.
But, like, there's something about this woman that she's just, already,
she's been on three sports radio shows that we've got her on already.
The publicist was there.
They wanted, they were trying to get, like, a whole piece, because she's from Philadelphia.
They want to get Philadelphia to do a whole piece on her.
Like, so, like, she's, she's just something else.
It's like, she really is.
Something else.
Also, if you want to be entertained, Chandrew.
Chandrew, yeah, Chandrew is, I mean, that guy just cracks.
He's a superstar.
Yes, because he's, he just owns the stage and, like, owns that he's a dick.
And it's the funniest best thing.
He just riles everyone up.
And if you're a fan, that's so fun.
My favorite moment of what he did when he goes, ladies and gentlemen,
Paul Oyama.
And he stops and he goes, he just like this maniacal dickhead laugh.
I'm just like, you all thought he was here.
You're stupid.
And like it just loves like and people and they just he just pissed everyone off and my favorite thing about chandrew to this day was when so for those people who know or don't know what we're talking about chandrew had is the bad guy of the league and he posted this picture out that didn't go over very well with a lot of people and there were some people that were actually coming to his side fans they were coming to his side saying this is what a bad guy's supposed to do and they were like sticking up for him and he's like he comes to me he's like this is this is
not good. There are fans that are that are coming to my side. And he's like, and I don't want them
on myself. Yeah. And I was like, that's a fuck. That guy, that's the guy who knows how to be a
bad guy. So anyway, speaking of bad guy, Steph, how's the dating life going? What's new stories?
Not really. No. Just nothing crazy. Why don't you think? Why don't you think for a second?
Because I got some, I got one more thing I'm going to tell everybody about. And if you want to get,
you want to impress Steph, well, get in shape. That's what you guys.

motivation. Don't get stuck doing the same workouts. Make progress towards the future. And what that
means is overcoming new challenges. FitBot. FitBod creates a fitness program that continually

All right, Steph.
We need this.
We need this.
So this is for those people who don't know,
I might get a graphic from Brian Ward
that has like the advice where me,
it's me and Brett sitting on the side listening to Steph.
Like she's either has a tear or she's got fire coming out of her eyes.
So the last, there's no way you're going to top the last story.
No.
But what's going on?
I did bury the lead a little bit.
Oh, oh, what happened?
You forgot about a story?
No, I didn't forget about it.
I just was deciding whether I wanted to share it or not.
Oh, oh.
No, I'm not dating someone.
I'm lost.
I'm confused.
I'm dazed and confused.
Why would you leave that out?
Because it makes me nervous.
You don't want our advice?
I do want your advice.
Is that why?
That's why you're talking about it.
Yeah.
So, tell us.
So you know the one guy.
No, I don't.
Okay.
The man with the vegan.
It's been a few.
No, no, no.
It's the main guy that we got in a fight.
Oh, the guy that was the, whatever, babe.
The one that said you were being.
The disappointed in me for bringing up in the TV.
Apple TV.
Oh, Apple TV.
That'll be his name.
Apple TV.
So, and you were, you told me you were done.
You're not going back.
No way, no how.
You lied to me.
And what did I say?
I said you were going to go back.
Was I right?
No, I haven't gone back.
But he's come back into the picture.
And a whole bunch of things happened.
There was a family member that died.
Fuck you, Chucky.
And all this drama.
And so we like didn't talk for a few months.
And then he called when he was abroad because he was like doing family stuff.
And I answered.
Yeah.
And I said.
Because it's been enough time.
Yeah.
Right.
We've like cooled off.
But there was both.
I like got to a point where I was like I kind of fucking hate you.
I'm right.
Yeah.
I remember.
And he got to the point where he's like, I kind of fucking hate you.
And he called me and was like, I've been so angry at you.
And I'm sorry for the way I acted, but I just like can't believe after everything we've been through.
Like, that's what happened.
And then like all this stuff in my family happened.
And he was like, I just, and you know how I told you he was like tap dancing around.
I love you.
And he's like, I just really fucking love you.
Oh.
On the phone.
On the phone.
Okay.
So I was like.
In love or love?
I really fucking love you.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
So, yeah, I didn't say anything back.
And I was like, this is like a lot for me to digest.
I can't really have this conversation right now.
She made a fart sound right afterwards.
Yeah.
I just like, shit.
Anyway.
He's like, I really love you.
What was that?
Nothing.
Continue.
Just fucking fart.
Oh, neat.
That's what I would say.
I love you.
Good for you.
Good for you.
How convenient.
Yeah, night.
Yeah.
I was like, obviously, in my head, obviously.
But whatever.
I guess it's like,
nice to hear that, but it didn't really feel that great.
It didn't feel genuine?
To me, that's like, I would say to Christian, I really fucking love you, man.
Right.
That feels like that kind of a love, not a...
That's why I asked in love or not.
It was like, I really fucking love you.
Like, you don't know how much I love you.
Okay, okay.
That's what he said.
You don't realize how much I love you.
Still confusing too much.
Yeah, I agree.
So that's like, that's a particular choice on words.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you, are you in love?
Or do you like...
Do you love me?
Are you in love with you?
But here's the thing, though.
This is why I thought you were full of ship before,
and I think you're full of shit now.
Because you care whether or not it is in love or love.
Yeah.
I guess I care in the sense that, so we had another conversation.
Okay.
Such as?
We met up in person to have lunch.
Oh, this was after this conversation.
Yes, after this conversation.
And I just said, what do you want for me?
Because of that, like, I'm confused.
Like, are you in love with me?
What are you suggesting?
And then he's like, I don't, he's like, I really.
really, really don't want to be without you.
And like I just thought about, you know, like when I was at the funeral and like seeing
all this, like, I just realized I don't want to be around stuff that's not real.
And I can't imagine like us being with other people.
And so I just like, I've been so confused about it.
Well, you shouldn't be confused because if you knew, if you know the answer to this question.
When he said that to you, when he said to you that he didn't want to be without other people.
what was your first thought honest um i i i i honestly in the months that we weren't talking i was
like i never pictured us not being in each other's lives oh okay and that's kind of the thought
like it looks like you're fighting what you're really feeling yeah because i just don't know how
realistic it is hey so what do you think well you're being cautious i mean you're being you're being
cautious but it's like look the there's there's a couple different sides to it it's like not knowing
this guy for real it's hard for me to say like how genuine i think he is yeah bring him on well let's
talk we'll ask him well let's put him through the ringer put him the ringer but i'll suggest it yeah
but i but i'll do it uh but i but i think that the thing is with him is that and this is also you
know the fact that going through loss and everything too and i don't disregard the fact that
he's definitely looking at that type of thing is that'll that'll make it real for you.
But the question also is does that subside?
Does that like right there with you on that?
You know what I mean?
My problem with him, which it's always been is like how consistent can you possibly be?
And I guess that's why I never was 36.
That's why I was like never interested in pursuing like when we were talking.
He's like for two years you didn't want to be in a relationship.
And I was like, yeah, but it's because of that.
I'm like, how consistent can this person be?
Because if I want to be with someone, I want to be with them.
So don't think, just answer.
You know, you have to answer fast.
That's it.
Do you want to be a relationship with this guy?
I don't know.
I don't know.
That's too far.
That's a no.
To know.
So no.
It's a note.
If you wanted to be, you would say us.
Yeah.
If you think about it, because it's...
I guess I'm just scared.
I'm really scared.
Yeah.
And that makes me say no.
Yeah, I don't want to lose another Apple TV.
My Ugg shoots.
Meanwhile, you get that.
What was the guy who was screaming on the street about?
Oh, Colin.
Colin.
What's he doing?
I should go to Sunset Boulevard and find Colin.
That's my real, man.
Yeah.
Colin.
Colin.
I want someone to have dirt under their fingers.
All right.
So Apple is the only one, though, that is in the fray at the moment.
Because it was free step, breaking away, taking some time on.
Cut the roster, not.
talking to anyone, I really needed to clear my mind.
Yeah, because it was just getting too hectic and messy.
And I, and I was, it wasn't even fun anymore.
Yeah.
So I needed the break.
So I've kind of like full stopped.
And of course, that's when this person, like, reenters.
That's how it happens.
Yeah.
Well, listen, this is not over by a long shot.
I don't think.
Is this a good time to tell you about the story of the naked guys?
What happened?
What happened?
I was driving to pick up bike from school.
Yeah.
And I see a dude run from, like,
the median to the window.
Now, this is horrible.
I'm laughing, but it was both horrible and I was laughing at it.
Because a totally naked guy runs up to somebody's window.
Did he use manscats?
Well, I didn't see that part.
He weren't looking.
He looked like a pretty good shape.
Didn't look like dirt or anything like that.
And runs up to this window of a lower level of an apartment.
I'm like, is he going to take a piss there?
He's going to take it?
Oh, no, he's jerking off.
And then I see him ducked down.
So then I'm like, what do I do?
In that situation, I'm like, do what we turn around?
Do I honk at him?
Do I call 911?
Is that a 911 kind of a thing?
Because I don't want to get in trouble.
I mean, maybe both.
You know?
I think tank honk the horn for sure because.
But I was so, I mean, I was traumatized.
I can see now and I, and it made me just angry at like what women have to deal with it.
It was just one of these things I'm thinking what my daughter was in the car.
You know, yeah, it was Matthew McCona.
Oh, my God.
You blew the story.
You blew the whole story.
Turns out, I did go up, and I got his autograph.
All right, all right, right.
And I'm in his next film.
The funny thing is, that is the premise of Caterpoll.
Damn, I got to watch that movie.
You got to watch that movie.
It's about Matthew McHanahe jerking off in windows and a guy stops him.
I hope nobody was in there.
I hope, like, yeah, he had spent it.
Maybe it's his house.
You just didn't have the key.
Oh, he loves looking inside his own house.
He's like, oh, God, you decorate so good.
It's just a chair.
What are you done?
Achieving your goals.
It's just a chair.
That's the joke I told over, like, we've talked about it many times.
It's just like, it's just everything about what dudes do is gross.
It's just gross.
Women, it's like they're DJing at a club.
Dudes just like pulling rope in a dungeon.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, it would have been less discussed if he took a dump right there.
I mean, like, that I've seen.
That I saw.
Oh, I see it every day.
When I was, when we were driving, this is years ago, we were driving,
Beverly Hills.
Guy just pulls his pants down.
Shits right there.
Cops like,
it's Tuesday.
It's Robb's what he does.
I one time was out of Friends house
and they were moving stuff in
and the front door was open and there was a
straight shot to the backyard and the
back door was open and all
the sudden this naked lady comes
running through the house.
Just beelines it like she knows the layout of the
building to the backyard.
Shits.
In the backyard.
In the backyard.
Sorry, runs out.
So there was a homeless city that my, well, about 10 years ago,
the apartment that we were living in,
and she would shit on the lawn out in the front,
like, you know, just the side grass on one of the places.
And she would just do it.
And no one ever caught her.
And at one time I caught her in the act.
And the only thing that I could think of saying was,
stop this.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop what you're doing.
No, stop it.
And if you think she stopped, you're wrong.
No, it never works.
It never works.
And then I think she's like, I saw her one time going to subway.
Maybe it was afterwards.
Maybe it worked.
But that was a...
I blame businesses for not letting their bathrooms be open.
But I understand because they get...
It's hard.
You know, everybody treats a public bathroom like that.
But it's tough though of certain places, right?
Like if you're in a restaurant and someone comes in that takes a shit that's
It's got birds on their, you know.
But CBS.
You know what the worst is?
Library bathrooms.
Oh, my God.
Or if we're ranking.
No.
It's not even bathroom.
It's the whole cement.
The whole walkway to a public.
The worst bathroom.
And we've talked about this is a beach bathroom.
The beach.
Yes.
The beach.
It's fucking disgusting.
You have a better chance of, you have better chance less of catching disease if you
shit in your own hand than whether you shit enough.
100%.
Yeah.
It's like nothing to do with that.
You can rub it in your own.
fucking head and it would smell better than you would.
I never know if you could clean your balls in a urinal.
It's a nastiest place.
It is atrocious.
I'd way rather shit in like an airplane bathroom, like amusement park bathroom.
Yeah, ever.
Yeah.
Diseases look at the bathroom and go, no, we're not going to there.
All right.
Anyway, listen.
Great way to get in the show.
Good way to end the show.
