It is a Thursday edition. Normally we put this one out on Friday, but we're doing Thursday today. Why are we doing Thursday today? And we're doing it live. Because there was a massive news they came out in the comic book movie world with James Gunn and Saffron, basically saying to Patty Jenkins, hey, we appreciate you turning in that script, but that's not the direction we want to go in. And not only was that massive news for the comic book world, the comic book movie world, it's also started to ask a lot of questions. What's that mean for Cavill? They just said there's coming back. It's coming back. It's back? Is he not coming back? What is the deal? What's the deal? The other question is there was all these rumors about Mamoa playing Lobo. Is that more realistic now? And maybe he doesn't play Aquaman anymore? What's going to happen with everything happened in Flashpoint and all of this? So many questions
Starting point is 00:01:17 to be had. The other is the Black Adam stuff. I can't tell you how many people love to tag me and tell me, oh, it bombed. Well, there's some reports that said it didn't bomb. There's some reports that say that it bombed. There's some reports that say that it broke even. There's some reports that said it made a profit. So what the hell is the actual story there? We're going to find that and talk about that today. And that's going to be a lot of the conversation. As I said, we are doing this live for people who are watching it live. You saw a lot of the stuff happening beforehand as the setup.
Starting point is 00:01:44 I just wanted to do this. Normally I do live through Stream Yard and I wanted to do it through OBS today. I wanted to try something else out and as it's evolving. So I'm here at Winston A. Marshall today. We're going to have our full conversation, the two of us. and I'm excited that you guys are here joining me and joining Winston. And so if you haven't already, do me a favor. Subscribe to the channel.
Starting point is 00:02:06 We're trying to get the 70,000 by the end of the year. We just crossed 60,000, man. We've taken a big push on shorts. I've been working on those. I got some help from some peeps. So I don't know. The peep the other day said maybe don't say anything yet. I'll wait to mention the peeps.
Starting point is 00:02:25 But either way, we also got, Some, if you guys haven't gotten the merch yet, Sith Council, show some class, the top gun guy. The top gun guy? Yeah, the top gun guy. So, Sith Council, show some class, capes and cowls this show. The big thing, get yourself a shirt, especially for Christmas time, man. You're not only buying yourself a nice little thing, you're helping out the show.
Starting point is 00:02:50 And obviously, we got boom today, so we're excited. Podcast, by the way, if you haven't gone to the podcast, Apple Podcast, Spotify, if I ain't even a podcast or found. All right, let's get into it. It's capes and cows, everybody. It's me and it's Winston. So are you ready? Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I'm just trying to tweet for you.
Starting point is 00:03:06 I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to them, but that's okay. All right, let's get into it, everybody. It's capes and cows. Let's do it. And where's the music? Winston? You didn't set up the music or you did?
Starting point is 00:03:18 The top gun guy? Everybody, welcome back. I'm going to seal the comments later on about what the hell we got right when we got wrong here today. That's my favorite part is everybody like I said one thing in my instant reaction to way of water. And I was like, hey, you know, way of water, it'll be the, you know, the third billion dollar movie, baby. We'll see what happens.
Starting point is 00:03:50 And everybody goes, oh, Jurassic World Dominion hit it. And I was like, okay, well, I'm so, and I put with multiple comments. I'm not to be wrong in this, Winston. You can't be wrong. Just also, it was the most silent billion dollars that's ever been made. I don't disagree with that. But, you know, sometimes, look, people say, Jennifer Lawrence is getting so much shit right now.
Starting point is 00:04:06 For what? She was asked. I mean, it was a dopey thing that she said, but she didn't do it in a purpose. She was, they were talking about, I guess, catniss or Hunger Games, whatever. She said, you know, she said there was never been a female lead in action when we were growing up. I was like, did you forget about Sigourney Weaver? Oh, aliens. Yeah, and she was like an icon.
Starting point is 00:04:28 I get it, but also for somebody that just watched the alien films for the first time in the last one or two years, It depends on what Jennifer Lawrence is young as hell. I know. Yeah, but you know, she's in the business. She should know. I get it. And you know of the movies, but sometimes you brain fart and sometimes that's not a movie that was on the forefront of mind.
Starting point is 00:04:46 That's what I'm saying. People just want a bitch of people to bitch of people. People mess up. People love to let people know when they mess up. I just, what gets me is it's the first comment. Damn, you're right. Thank you for correcting me on that. It's the 20 in a row next to each other.
Starting point is 00:05:00 And I'm like, are you stupid? Well, no, people don't read comments. They just boosted. You know what people told me three weeks later that Michael Bay wasn't directing the next one of them? The only people told me that after I posted shorts about it and not, I found out an hour later and still like still getting video. Actually, Stephen Cable Jr. I know.
Starting point is 00:05:19 I know. I know. I just, again, I totally get it and I appreciate the people that brought it to my attention. But it wasn't like a Jurassic World Dominion. It was just like a they very quietly did it because. the movie was panned. Right. So it was,
Starting point is 00:05:37 it didn't even dawn on me. Yeah. To be honest with you, but whatever. I understand. Oh, hell yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:05:42 We got stuff to talk about, Winston. As you walked in here today, we talked about, first of all, let me ask the audience as we, how is the stream working now? Let me hear that first before we get into the news.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Is it clear now? Because I did my experiment work? Are we actually, is it lagging? Can you hear us? Do you hear this? Holy shit. That's why.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Tell me if you heard this real quick. Did you hear that? I want to know. Because Winston and I heard that, but I don't know if you heard that because that'll tell me if I need a certain setting or not. Christian, I didn't even think about it. That's probably why my streams haven't been working recently because I've been adding more and more assets.
Starting point is 00:06:17 I need to take some of them bitches out. I think that's what it is. Okay, so you say the stream's working now. Okay, so that was it. I took a lot of access. I took a lot of Axix. General Agpore. Oxal.
Starting point is 00:06:27 It means Tony, what's his name from, shit, from Jim Carrey's guy. Did you not Jim Carrey? Andy, I can't remember anything. Not Andy Dick, freaking, oh my God, man in the moon. Andy Kaufman. Oh, okay. Tony, Tony.
Starting point is 00:06:41 All right, they heard the forts. Okay, good. It stinks. No, damn, have you ever done, um, actually, that shit is fun as hell. What's that? Show on a college humor. They, they, it's a game show where they, like, ask you, like, nerd questions, but something's wrong with it, and then you have to correct it with, um, actually.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Oh, I love that. Oh, I like that. Oh, I like that. Okay, good. It's fun. All right, listen. Let's get into this shit, man. So I'm glad everybody can.
Starting point is 00:07:05 Look, I'll tell you what. If this works out, and if you guys, by the way, if you do put super chats in there, like any other stream that we do, we'll get to them at the end of the show, Winston and I. So throw them in there and I'll go through. Yeah, man, my old man or comic nerd, this is live. Tony Clifton, thank you. So, well, let's get to the news because this is massive news. Massive.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Wonder Woman. Canceled. Wonder Woman 3. Big news. Big news. It broke last night. And this is a report that I'm getting from, I mean, they're all over the place,
Starting point is 00:07:40 but this is one I get from Dark Horizons. And they say, as new DC Studios chief, James Gunn and Peter Safran, finalized their multi-year plan for D.C.'s future for the next decade. Hard choices are being made. According to the Hollywood reporter,
Starting point is 00:07:54 the pair are expected to meet with Warner Brothers Discovery CEO, David Zazlov next week, to lay out their version of what's to come. And the first details have emerged. Multiple sources tell the trade that Patty Jenkins' third Wonder Woman film is considered dead. Waita! And is not moving forward.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Jenkins and co-writer Jeff Johns recently submitted a treatment, and they were told, get the F out. That is not what they wrote here. I'm sorry. Warner's co-CEO, Michael DeLucah and Pamela Abdi, broke the news to the filmmaker saying her project did not fit in with the new plan. Probably got to told her that before she turned it in. but anyway, what this means for the future of the character
Starting point is 00:08:34 and actress Galgado portrayal of the role, it's unclear. The rest of D.C. remains in question with the shuddering of the Snyderverse, a good possibility. This means everyone from Jason Mamoa as Aquaman to Henry Cavill as Superman are out. Both are set to cameo in the flash next summer with Cavill having shot his in September, but there's reportedly a debate within the studio
Starting point is 00:08:55 as whether or not keep the cameo as if its conclusion promises something that the studio can't deliver. No plans. have been finalized yet, but the Caval situation is complicated as he talked publicly about his return to the role and already did a cameo in Black Adam. Warners was indeed developing a sequel to 2013's Man of Steel and was actively meeting with writers about it, and that changed with the gun saffron hiring and is now looking unlikely. Well, the same goes for Black Adam's sequel, which even with Ansela review will be lucky to break even. Johnson has been on the offensive
Starting point is 00:09:25 against that narrative today with a piece in the deadline talking about the film's potential for profit. Mamoa, meanwhile, could end up surviving the shift in the much ways Chris Evans made the jump from Fox to Marvel. Should his Aquaman sequel prove Mamo's final outing, he could return as the foul mouse cigar-chomping intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo. One thing that is expected to be unaffected is Matt Reeves the Batman verse, which will continue as is with both a sequel and the upcoming the Penguin TV series for HBO. Wow. I mean, that's a lot. That's a lot. That is a lot to break down. Winston A. Marshall. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Dude. I mean, holy moly. You know, I am not entirely surprised. I am in the sense that, you know, things seem to be fine at the very least with people like Mamoa and Gow and all that. So you figured they would move forward. But I saw an interesting tweet from, you know, a friend of the show, co-host of, Sith Council saying as law Mike, use that term lightly,
Starting point is 00:10:33 co-host of South Council. Is he not around anymore? He's there sometimes. Oh, is he gone along? He's here all the time, but he's there mentally sometimes. Guy was sitting at the table the other day. We'd go through this big point and I go, Mike, what do you think? He goes, what?
Starting point is 00:10:48 You mean what? Some random dude just sitting there. Part of the show. Say something. Anyway, go ahead. Hey, man, I have those moments. Like, not really. Well, the number of times you have said like, hey, man, and you know what?
Starting point is 00:11:02 And that's why cheese is important. Winston, what do you think? Yeah, man. I was just thinking about that. You know, cheese is important. Doze and off sometimes is different than just pretending for, not realizing that you're supposed to say something on this show. No, please, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Well, just what Mike essentially said, he's like, truthfully, especially just knowing with audiences, both the Snyder fans and just people that don't really keep up with this stuff. Yes. If you kind of keep everything and go. go off. You would hope the Flash movie would be enough to reset that, but if you keep everything as is, if you keep all the actors, if you keep all, like, loose continuity, this idea that people are always going to associate it with the Snyderverse. And if you genuinely want to clean slate,
Starting point is 00:11:43 then you got a clean slate. The only thing about that that I don't love, I think a lot of the casting and the portrayals are correct. I think Gall is correct. I think Henry is correct. So, like, losing them, if that's where this is going. I know. It's tough. It's rough. Here's why And another reason why I said, and he mentioned this as much in the article. So Henry Cavill signed on big deal to come back. They marketed Black Adam basically with the fact that he's coming back. And then he leaves The Witcher essentially.
Starting point is 00:12:12 It seems like, essentially, to do Superman, that's what it seems like. So he goes and he's, and plus the fact that he wasn't happy with a lot of the stuff that they were doing at The Witcher, too. But he had just done our buddy, Josh Harwitz. He just did the interview and talked about how psyched he was to come back as the role and play it and do all this stuff. And I want him back. I think he's the perfect Superman.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Christopher Reeve is my favorite, but he's right up there. He's great. And I wanted to see what he would do in a different version. But I understand this. Yeah. I love Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
Starting point is 00:12:44 But I understand this. Like, I get it. It's like stupid people going, fire James God, you don't even know what he's doing yet. You don't even know what Saffron's doing it. What if it's the best plan that they have? And they cast a whole brand new
Starting point is 00:12:56 of younger people and, of this thing and they just and then and to you that's your generations now you're Batman not your Batman well yeah your new Batman you new Wonder Woman new Superman because Athlik probably not going to come back and they can reset this whole thing inside of Flash you don't even know what they're doing so stop with the fire
Starting point is 00:13:11 them to you don't know yes it might suck that you don't I hate the Cavill's not going to come back if he doesn't I hate it do I want James Gunn and Safran to be fired no because you know what they're making a move but also from the standpoint of nothing has come up yet there hasn't been any set of movies there hasn't been
Starting point is 00:13:27 any box office to review, it is a decision. I think where the difference would be between like here and Batgirl, why a lot of people were upset with that is part of it is sure the diversity side of things, but it was more from the standpoint of this was apparently a completed film. So to take a completed film and in such a big moment like that was like, what the fuck is happening here? Sorry, I forgot. Especially on this show.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Sorry about that. But you know what I'm saying? Like this is a situation. And that was also not Zazlov being like cool. And we have our plan for DC. This is literally what Gunn and Saffron were brought in to do. Right. Was to make a vision for this and to move forward.
Starting point is 00:14:14 So if they want to start from scratch, then they get to start from scratch. It's literally their studio to do with. I just never felt with that Batgirl decision that I had a plan from Zabloff ever. There was no plan. was get out of the red. The plan, yeah, the plan was, well, you just, and I don't give a damn about that. But he does.
Starting point is 00:14:33 I wonder, no, no, I understand that. I understand that, but I'm saying why people were so mad as it's like, okay, sure, we don't want the studio to go under, but like, you didn't give us something. Right. You know what I mean? Sure. Gun and Saffron will be giving us something very quickly
Starting point is 00:14:46 because this is their literal job is to make this work. Absolutely it is. What else you want to make something work? Make your ball bags work. Starting point is 00:16:25 It's very nice. So, look, I mean, I mean, it is a, it's a massive move, this D.C. thing, man, it is, because it's going to shape it. But I think if you bring somebody in and you go, okay, I got the guys that I want to do this. So guys, and you know what it also shows, though, is Zazloff? As much as, I know what I haven't called him Zoloft in a little bit. No, you haven't. Because here's the reason.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Because he hired Gunn's afternoon? Not just. It's, I still think his bedside manner inside of the way that he handled all the stuff he were just talking about was terrible. I thought the stuff that he would do with animation and certain things that he did leading up to it and cutting certain people and doing things to his bedside manner was terrible but when you have this is a thing that i've been calling for like lucas film to do forever when and it's grand and granted he's the head of the studio as opposed to just head of a production company but it's the same
Starting point is 00:17:09 philosophy meaning if you are the head of something and you want your product to strive and you know that you have something but you're not necessarily a i don't think that zazlov is necessarily a he might be a fan of it but i don't think he's going to be able to talk you're off about comic books I don't think he's going to be able, but what he is doing is saying, okay, well, I need to find the guys that can. And I need to say, well, what's your vision? Well, we want to do this, we want to do that. But I like that Henry Cavill guy. Yes, but he's not going to fit into what we do.
Starting point is 00:17:34 As Zazlov goes, okay. He's not forcing him to do it. And we don't know if he's going to, who they're going to cut or who they're not, but just the fact, I hired you guys to do something, do it. Do it. And if you don't deliver, I got to find someone else that does. They've got, what, three years, four years to do it? Four years to do it. It's like a high school.
Starting point is 00:17:52 That's good leadership. And I hate to say because I've been very tough on him. But that's good. But that's that I agree with you and that's fine. I think like you said, it's the bedside manner situation. Yeah, yeah. To make declarative statements, but to not give a plan is kind of wild. You're saying like right now?
Starting point is 00:18:11 No, no, no. Now he looks like he knows what he's doing. Agreed. But a few months ago, why he was getting lambasted, especially. You don't have to tell me. I'm on the same page. I'm just talking about right now. This just shows that, like, it's one thing if he was, if you start to hear that Zafron,
Starting point is 00:18:28 if you start to hear that gun and Saffron are, I feel like their hands are tied, they're not being able to do stuff, they're trying to make moves and they're being told no, whatever. This seems to be like, okay, you guys pitch something. What do you got? And he's backing them right now. If this is the case, Wonder Woman, the first one, I think made like a billion dollars. They did.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Right. And then the second one wasn't as loved, but I don't think a lot of people saying whether the second was so That's probably why the third one didn't get. It's not. It's not because Galgadoadot is still a massive star when it comes to Wonder Woman. People want to see her as Wonder Woman. I think that the universal thing that was said about 84 is that she still did a good job. It's just the movie itself just wasn't that great.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Like the story wasn't super strong. I didn't, I thought it was pretty corny at times. But I watched on HBO Max and I watched it. I had a fun time watching, but I acknowledge the issues with it 100%. Yeah. But it's, and it's clearly, it's not even close to, even close to the first movie. No, absolutely. But that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Nobody was coming for gal on that. Like, she, like, she played the character. She's played the character. It's been fine. It's just the movie itself just wasn't the best. It just wasn't the best. And then, but I don't think, and because people are also looking, you know, look, this is, Patty Jenkins was directing the second Thor and then she left, right?
Starting point is 00:19:45 She had Dark World, then she left. And then she was on the Star Wars movie. and then she left. And now she had this. The thing that sucks is that she's been working on this, obviously, for a while. The script, she turns it in. They're like, well, yeah, this is not the direction that we're going in now. I appreciate the honesty.
Starting point is 00:20:01 I appreciate it. But it's not going to, and look, she still got paid for doing that draft. She still get paid for it. But does it necessarily mean that Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ben Affle, won't be back? Not yet. I don't know. That's not what the announcement was.
Starting point is 00:20:18 No. And it wasn't even necessarily. but it was a rumor. Like we still don't even have the official cabosh on on Patty Jenkins movie. Right. But that's what's coming out today. And which by the way, this is more of a there's trouble in the water than that story we did a couple weeks ago where they were like, I heard there's trouble on the set. Right.
Starting point is 00:20:41 Right. Right. Because it's more of an official report. And no. And it's a confirmed thing. Right. That it's like she was, she turned in her draft. and she was told no.
Starting point is 00:20:52 And that probably leaked one way or another. And then somebody got a hold of it. And then they followed up. They did the research on it. And it was actual true. It ain't happening. As opposed to saying, well, we hear that that show is not going to happen. It's like, yeah, but no one said anything yet.
Starting point is 00:21:04 Right. It very well could be true, but no one said anything yet. This seems like this just opens up a whole. I mean, I saw so many difference of opinions. I'm so curious, again, for people out in the chat right now. And I'm going to see, I saw a lot of opinions coming through. through a super chat and we'll discuss it once we start getting into it. But I want to get your thoughts on it.
Starting point is 00:21:26 So let me know exactly where you think this is going to go. Is it a good thing? Is it a bad thing? I got to know. I got to know. The other thing, though, is that we absolutely need to talk about is this, the Black Adam stuff. Because there's so much, dude, I got tagged so many different times yesterday. Is it because you were saying that you enjoyed the film?
Starting point is 00:21:47 No, no, no, no, no. Just in general because it's news. said it would probably either break even or make a little bit of a profit, right? Which, by the way, everybody keeps asking in the chat where Koi is today. Koi is under the weather. Yes, yes, sorry. Probably should announce that. I was so, I was so enthralled with getting the show live.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Absolutely. Where is, I'm trying to find, there's a big, let me find the article. No, no, no, no. Coy, you know, throw some good thoughts to him. He's not, he's not feeling super great. So for the sake of everybody's Christmas, we said, stay your white ass home. That was literally what we wrote. That Christian said that, not me.
Starting point is 00:22:20 was the one that said it. And he is. He's a pale little dude. Oh, my God. So what is, okay, so we, now, now there's another story with Dwayne Johnson. So there's a lot of, all right, so much, so much. Here's a new thing. So let's, let's, this is going to tie into it.
Starting point is 00:22:37 So we'll just go all here. There's something that just came out again with, with Dwayne Johnson now. Black Adam star, Dwayne Johnson reports to the DCU reset report. This is all noise. Black Adam star, Dwayne Johnson has, now responded to last night's massive DCU reset report, and it sounds like the actor is still confident that the man in black will return down the line. Last night, the Hollywood Reporter published a report on DC Studios co-head James Gunn
Starting point is 00:23:03 and Peter Saffron's plan for DCU and left us with a lot to unpack. Though the trade did stress that things are very much in flux, it sounds like a full reset and restructure of the franchise is coming. And that might just mean bidding farewell to the likes of Galgadoot, Jason Momoa, and even the recently reinstated Henry Cavill. Despite a conflicting report from Deadline, hitting around the same time, Black Adam is believed to be another casualty of this shakeup,
Starting point is 00:23:32 with tentative plans for a sequel at least one spinoff and now said to be dead in the water. However, star Dwayne Johnson remains adamant, I like what they did there, that this movie will turn a profit and still appears to be confident that Black Adam will launch a new franchise. While responding to a fan's tweet, the actor seemingly referred to the Hollywood Reporter's breakdown as just noise. Alonzo B tweets on the beginning, despite all of the noise and negativity,
Starting point is 00:23:59 I can't wait to see what's next, to which the Rock responded, that's it, brother, you already know. This is all noise. Hollywood reporter did also note that Johnson's playing up of returning Cavill and his own involvement with DC may not be endearing him to the new management. While you might view this as a little more than posturing,
Starting point is 00:24:18 it is important to keep in mind that nothing is set in stone. Gun, who has a report who has been uncharacteristically silent on social media since the report, recently made it clear that only he and Safran know what is really going on behind the scenes. An official announcement might be imminent, but for now, we'll just have to wait and see what comes out in next week's meeting between the studio heads and Warner Brothers Discovery CEO David Zazlaw. I just, okay, here's the big thing I think with all of this, and I know on the one hand you're going to have the people that aren't,
Starting point is 00:24:48 super into the D.C. said they're very casual. They're like, oh, it's a superhero movie. Oh, you know, the rocks in it or whatever. They're not going to keep up. But I think the thing that we have to keep in mind here, you literally can do whatever you want, including keeping these actors because of the flash.
Starting point is 00:25:10 We already know that the flash being in Flashpoint is going to reset everything. So you may have a situation where all of a sudden that's exactly how Mamoa ends up being Lobo, but then, like, gal is still, you know, Wonder Woman. Sure. It could really go any way. And I think until we get the full announcement of the actors are cut or we're bringing it back or whatever, I feel like, I don't know. You just, you just kind of have to, like, take it on the chin and be like, okay,
Starting point is 00:25:39 and just wait and see what happens. Like, we don't, we don't have anything yet, you know? Right. We just know that this Wonder Woman movie is done. We know that the Wonder Woman movie enables. said, they didn't say that Wonder Woman Galgadoo was done, they didn't say Patty Jenkins one. They just said that this version of the movies
Starting point is 00:25:56 does not play into the current structure of what they want to do. So what very well could happen also, everybody, is this. They could say to Patty Jenkins very similar. If you remember that James Gunn is now a student of the Marvel way, the way that they've done things, he very well could, him and Safran
Starting point is 00:26:14 could have a meeting with Patty Jenkins and say, hey. Yes, that's great. because of where we're going and how it tied into other things that we're not doing anymore. It doesn't work. Here's our story. This is where we wanted to go.
Starting point is 00:26:26 We need it very similar, like when they knew that where they're going to Thanos and all the stuff they were going to do in the MCU. We know eventually we need to get there. And what we want to do is we want to go here and we'd love for you to be a part of it. The same way that they had her be a part of Marvel and she said, I don't necessarily want to do this.
Starting point is 00:26:41 I'm going to walk away. Edgar Wright was part of Ant Man already before the MCU was a thing. And then they wanted to bring him in. And he's like, I want to do my thing. They're like, well, we have a direction. And then there's other directors that has happened to as well. But they say, we want you to be a part of this,
Starting point is 00:26:56 but this is where we need the story to go. And if you're going to do some writing on it, we'd like you to actually include this. Same when we talked about that example of like Ryan Coogler. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. We want to do Black Panther. We want you to be the guy to do it.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Can you do it? So anyway, that's a possibility. Yeah. And this is, you know, they haven't discussed anything with the Rock. And the Rock's been tweeting a lot lately. And that goes back. into the whole conversation. There's a report that came out two days ago that said that Black Adam was going to lose
Starting point is 00:27:24 like $200 million, $150 million, something like that. And then I was getting tweeted on it just, everyone loves, again, everyone lets to prove everybody wrong. So I said, oh, maybe that was the case. Maybe I thought it would make a little bit more, at least break even because, because one of the reasons, they pulled back on theatrical release. And they pulled back and they got it into demand earlier. and people started, and so it was making more money.
Starting point is 00:27:50 So the Rock tweets out yesterday, hey, just to let everybody know, because he knew there's reports were going on, I just got off the phone with the financiers, and we are actually set to make a profit. And you don't do that if you're not going to realize that people are going to crunch the numbers and look if you're telling,
Starting point is 00:28:10 and then deadline reported that it could stand to make a profit. There's another report that says it's going to break even, and then there's another report that says it's going to have a loss. So either way, it's just a lot. How are we also predicting that this late in the game? I thought typically you find that out within the first two to three weeks. What? Is it predicting his first box office?
Starting point is 00:28:27 No, no, no. Well, I guess if it's going to break even, well, it just depends on, because the thing is, because I don't see a resurgence. I shouldn't say what I, not what I didn't like, but what I didn't think Rock needed to include in his tweet was he said, well, the first Captain America only made this.
Starting point is 00:28:41 Well, the first Captain America only costs like $160 million, or whatever it was. And on top of that, we were in a different era, bro. Like, that shouldn't have been included, but the idea, if you can do, if you can back up your tweet, you can back up your claim with numbers and the spreadsheets.
Starting point is 00:28:59 And some guy telling me, like, it's going to make a loss because the theater takes this. Read the freaking numbers. Read it. Read what the report is. They could, it doesn't matter how, but it's potential.
Starting point is 00:29:09 And someone who I actually, I didn't get a chance to respond that I agree with 100%. He said, look, man, he's like, maybe so. Maybe it breaks even. but that's not what they were going for 100% not they were looking for it to be mega i agree with that guy a thousand percent absolutely that movie should like for what they wanted to do they wanted to be massive so that guy was correct so if even if it made 50 million that's not what they wanted
Starting point is 00:29:32 no but i just think i don't think from the reports that i read i don't think it was a loss i think it was i think there's a probably a mix in between when you look at all of it i think it probably just about breaks even or goes a little over but there's a problem you're a little over but That's not a win. No, no, I get it. It's the idea of nobody wants to just make the playoffs. You want to win the championship. So it's a situation where it's like, all right, you skate it into the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:29:55 You got a first round sort of situation. Not ideal. And you go back to the drawing board of how do we have more success in the future? But it's one of those things where you are, if you're going to find a silver lining in a bad situation, you would rather be even or in the black than in the red always. Sure. Absolutely. Um, it's so funny, man.
Starting point is 00:30:17 I, I, I'll tell you, I might do this, uh, I might do this, this, uh, streaming again because when you do it from stream yard, nobody, like, I don't know what it is for streamer. When you, when you, when you go off stream yard, I don't think the, the notifications come in or people don't see it. I don't know why, but it's like 200 people watch a live stream. It's like 700 people watching right now. You're, yeah. You're, here. Look, you see it on a bar. Damn, bitch.
Starting point is 00:30:39 So, so we got, and then there's people throwing in the super chats and everything, too. So we're, we're, we're grateful to you that. Which one are we, we, you? Is this the main or is this the Harleff and Friends? No, this is the main. This is Cape Towns, baby. We just hit 60.3K on subscribers, by the way. We're trying to get to 70.
Starting point is 00:30:56 I've been doing a lot with the short game lately. I don't know if you guys been watching the shorts. Please do. I had Kathy Kelly on from the WWE yesterday on big things. So people are the other thing people have been asking that I probably should have mentioned up top. We're where the South Council? Where the hell Sith Council?
Starting point is 00:31:10 Sid Council's going to be on tomorrow. And it's just going to be me. I'm going to do Q&A. And I might even do a live show, honestly. and do it again, just take questions and do that because Mike and staff, they were, Mike had to do some stuff. I think Mike was out of town,
Starting point is 00:31:22 and there was, and there was just more news inside of the other stuff. So that's why. So what made a good point. You should cut out that sound bit of you go, damn, bitch. I know. I should.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Well, I also want to cut out the thing that you did with Koi. I mean, you said, I, look, I'm a need, I'm a need at least, because I'm going to need at least, like, 50% of that shirt. If we do a shirt, absolutely. Show them your shirt, though, by the way.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Oh, you're not a rocket. That shit pops. Yeah, it does. It really does. I was walking around the other day I made sweatshirt on capes and cows and it was like, what's that? I was like, this is my show that I do, man. Check it out.
Starting point is 00:31:57 I love it. It's great. I love that shirt. Anyway, so, yeah, so much, so much going on there with the, with that report. I don't know, man. It's just so, it's like, and you know what we should also talk about Winston is the, the lobo of it all.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Because, you know, he's been teasing this. I think he went to Mamoa quick, James Gunn. And I think he was like, look, we're probably going to do a, if this was, this is another, as I just presented that one case where everybody lives, the other case where everybody dies, is him going, look, we're probably going to reset this whole thing because, as Mike said, you probably want it. And it's not a, he's friends with Snyder, by the way, gun. So he's like, we just got to disconnect from it because it's always going to be a little tricky,
Starting point is 00:32:37 but we're going to disconnect from it. But we really want you to be a part of it. So we'd like to have you come in as Lobo, and that's why he's had this. kind of crap-eaten grin on his face all the time, every time somebody mentions it. Yeah, you know, it's funny. I would also be very curious if, because you know how stuff like that can happen,
Starting point is 00:32:53 what if it's a situation where just hearing, you know, hearing Jason be like, yeah, I would love Lobo. I would kill Lobo. That set off something in their mind like, ooh, he would be good as Lobo. And then that maybe even, because you never know what's influencing what.
Starting point is 00:33:10 It's a very real possibility that just even seeing that they're like, You know what, what if we just, because he is Akam, we just got to blow all this shit up. Yeah, he looks like Lobo, though, man. He does. He looks like, he really does. I think him and Roman Raines look at him, but I think Moe is obviously the better actor. So, I don't know Roman Raines' history as an actor, so I can't speak on that. He was only in Hobbs and Shaw for like three seconds, and he didn't really have much to do.
Starting point is 00:33:32 So I don't know his, I don't know. He was just like a lieutenant for like the villain, right, or something like that. No, no, no, no. He was part of the, he was part of the crew, part of his family. That's right That's right, that's right Because now that I remember, Hobbs and Shaw was Idris
Starting point is 00:33:46 Yeah, I believe so Yeah, yeah, yeah I was just trying to think of the bad guy For a second Yeah, um Okay, before we move on We got some other stuff to talk about I want to talk to you guys about uncommon goods
Starting point is 00:33:58 So a lot of people have been reaching out to me and telling me They've been trying it And there's so much happening for Christmas right now And just the holidays in general And if you had any chance Winston, do you browse around on this site yet for Christmas? And next thing you know, you're on there for like an hour and you probably have a shit in your pants because you can't stop looking at uncommon goods. I'm telling you, that's the read. That's what they tell me to say here.
Starting point is 00:34:55 It's not what they tell me to say. But I'm telling you the truth. And when you shop in uncommon goods, you're supporting artists and you're supporting small independent businesses. They have fine products and are often made in small batches. Starting point is 00:35:18 Get 15% off. Don't miss out on this limited time offer. Uncommon goods. We're all out of the ordinary. Dude, Clay's going to be so upset that he wasn't here for the live show. I know. He loves me and he loves me and love. I wonder if he's watching right now and he's just like, you best.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Dude, that guy gets sick. If he watches somebody on TV gets sick. I can't believe. just a poor bastard. Oh, my goodness. So, oh, okay. So Gunn just tweeted out about the story. You want to read what Gunn?
Starting point is 00:35:47 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, let's do it. Let's, want to check it out because I don't want to lag again. So Winston's going to check out right now what Gunn said. And I'm telling you this was just, I knew it. I knew that this would be the full episode. I really did. We'll get to Boom Studios in a second because we love Boom and they have and what you hear what they got coming out this week.
Starting point is 00:36:04 You know, lose your mind. But I got to, we got to finish this up. We got to talk about what's going on. Go ahead. So, as for the story. yesterday in the Hollywood Reporter. Some of it's true. This is what gun said.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Some of it is half true. Some of it is not true. And some of it, we haven't decided yet whether it's true or not. Although this first month at D.C. has been fruitful. Building the next 10 years of story takes time and we're just beginning. Peter and I chose to helm D.C. Studios knowing we were coming into a fictitious, uh, fact, fictitious, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Environment, uh, both in the stories being told and in the, audience itself, there would be an unavoidable transitional period as we moved into telling a cohesive story across film, television, animation, and gaming. But in the end, the drawbacks of that transitional period were dwarfed by the creative possibilities and the opportunity to build upon what has worked in D.C. so far, to help rectify what has not. We know we're not going to make every single person happy every step of the way, but we can promise everything we do is done in the service of the story and the service of the D.C.
Starting point is 00:37:11 characters we know you cherish and we have cherished our whole lives. As for more answers about the future of the DCU, I will sadly have to ask you to wait. We are giving these characters and the stories the time and attention they deserve and we ourselves still have a lot more questions to ask and answer. I mean, look, they said in that previous report, I even said, that's unlike Gunny. He usually always kind of says something. And he did. He said something.
Starting point is 00:37:36 He's, there's a lot that goes into this particular comment. And one of the main things is it's going to show that he's going to be the guy. He's going to be the spokesperson. He's going to be the one that speaks up and goes, hey, listen, this is what we got going on. This is good. This is the stuff you think is bad. Here's the answer for it. And he's going to be the guy at a Comic-Con.
Starting point is 00:37:54 He's going to be the guy. He's going to be the guy. And Saffron obviously will be helping him out. We know that creatively. But he's going to be the guy that people are going to be like, hey, James, what's going to go James? Because Peter Saffron, you don't even know where to find him. And if you do, what's you got 36 followers? It's like it's it's gun
Starting point is 00:38:11 Gun's the guy you're going after That's not a shot on saffron It's just guns the public guy It's dude it's cook it's cook and it's cook and gate and Cook and uh Jobs Tim Cook wasn't really that Now now Cook is the CEO
Starting point is 00:38:26 But I'm saying like when Wosniak Wosniak too But I uh for me I guess just from when I was working there I was there in jobs's last stint Sure Wosniak or Cook They both were not the
Starting point is 00:38:39 face guy. Jobs with the face guy. And that's it. And that's what it is. And so this is him saying, okay, I know my responsibility. I know what I'm doing. So here's, here's our response to it. And he was vague in the fact where he's like, okay, look, some of the things you're saying is true. Some of it isn't. And you go, well, what's true? Well, what is it? And he's like, I'm not giving you that yet. I'm not giving you that. And he doesn't have to. He doesn't have to, especially from the standpoint that there is not a single thing that he's, said it's people just putting out reports. And what he said was, look, I just got, bitch, I just got this job.
Starting point is 00:39:18 November 1st. I just got this job. It was November 1st. We've only started November 1st. You asked us what we're going to do. And here's what we're going to do. We have, when it's time for everybody to know, you'll know. And you're going to hear these little things.
Starting point is 00:39:30 But this is what they have to be prepared for too. They got to be prepared for these moments of like, okay, well, they just did this. What does that mean? What does that mean? Oh, what does that? What's that mean? It is literally from this standpoint, bro. I can't what you're doing it.
Starting point is 00:39:45 What's that mean? I was waiting for you to do one full spin, rip them headphones out, this whole thing. I get sick watching roller coasters, so I can't do that. I didn't go on one damn thing in Universal with my daughter. I'm going to be the same dad. I don't do roller coaster. I used to. I said, I will wait for you.
Starting point is 00:40:06 I said, otherwise we're going to, we're not, like, I just had a. butter beer and I'm excited that I had two frozen butter beers and I and I told myself I was going to eat healthy that was a bold face lie Winston I lied to myself I lied to everyone in my family I had I had but I'll tell you what those 17 broomsticks or whatever the hell that place is called yeah yeah you don't tell oh I don't care it's delicious it's really really good food most of those most of those parks yeah garbage they might as well just take this pretty good. What?
Starting point is 00:40:38 Yeah, it's okay. It's okay, but some of the amusement parks you might as well just grab some garbage out of a can and throw another thing.
Starting point is 00:40:44 I got it's delicious food. So mad because the State Fair of Texas is a huge deal. Like the food, everything that's there. So when I went to my first, like, L.A.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Fair went to the OC Fair. That food was hot trash. That food was so bad and I was angry about it because it was like $20 for like some nachos and the nachos garbage. And the cheese is all,
Starting point is 00:41:07 yeah. Oh, my God. Anyway. But back to this. I just, it's, you're, you're asking someone to give you a 90-day report. Yes. When they've been there for less than 30. Less than that, right.
Starting point is 00:41:19 But the fact that he responded and he said something good, because it shows the kind of leader he's going to be, right? He's like, all right. And the reason why he was silent is because he crafted up a response. And he said, all right, this is what we've got to tell people. We're not going to tell them everything unless they look, they nailed some of it. Some of it's right. and we're going to own a lot of it because we've got to go into it going this is what we're going to do and we're taking our shot
Starting point is 00:41:42 and if we're going to take our shot and we're going to make things work, you're either going to be on board or you're not going to be on board with it. I can't imagine being in that position just from the standpoint of when I'm like doing the littlest thing, I'm like cooking something and someone's like, you ain't put enough salt on that. You chill? Beat it.
Starting point is 00:41:59 Let me give you the dish. If the dish is trash, come from me, whatever. And then from that point forward if you want to stand over my shoulder, But let me cook first and then we'll talk. Yeah, give me some time to be in the kitchen. Give me some time to be in the kitchen. And so that's how it is, man. It's like it's, I think the response was good.
Starting point is 00:42:18 People are, I didn't give enough. He doesn't need to. They don't need to yet. You judge off, there's going to be some new announcements that come out. There's going to be casting that comes out. And you are entitled to your opinion. You're either going to like the casting decisions. You're either going to like who he brings back.
Starting point is 00:42:34 You're either going to buy a ticket to see the movie. or you won't. He's got him and Saffron have their plan. You wait. You really, honestly, you don't judge, in my opinion, until the first movie comes out. You judge when that movie comes out. Does the Flash include in that? Or do you say that's still the final? I'm saying, well, great question. And I think that there might be questions that are answered in the Flash, right, as far as how they're going to reboot stuff or move things forward. because if you look at that report, let's say one of those things that were true,
Starting point is 00:43:10 that Gunn said that some things are true, some things are not. Let's say that one of the things that are true was that they are talking about cutting out Cavill and those other people from the Flash. And you don't see them in it, then that could be going, that could answer some questions.
Starting point is 00:43:24 Yeah. Right? If Affix role is trimmed down. If there's things you go, whoa, okay, I thought he would have a bigger role. And then, because reports will start to come out after the movie comes out. So that's part one. Part two is if they are in it and there's a reveal of, well, they just put Superman in it again.
Starting point is 00:43:41 Yeah. And because I agree with the report, the report of saying, if you put him in it again, that's twice in the course of it'll be less than a year. Yeah. Twice. Yeah. People will then get a little bit more upset if you don't have him in it. So I don't know. My other question is, because this is an actually interesting one.
Starting point is 00:44:02 What about the two projects he's directly tied to? So what about the Suicide Squad and Peacemaker? I read some reports somewhere that those two aren't even connected to the DCU. How? No, moving forward. Got it. They won't be connected to it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:44:18 And I think that the answer to that question is if they fired out everything and get rid of everything, I think those go too. I think Margot Robbie goes. I think they all go. Which would be wild to me because you want to talk about more just spot on casting. I think Margo is perfect. I think John Cena brought AIDS. F-less character, not even to see or a deal, an F-less character to life and made us care about it.
Starting point is 00:44:40 They announced season two, I thought. They did, but that's the point is that what point do you? He's going to scrap his own show? That's crazy. I don't know. That's why I'm so curious. I know. Because it's not just that.
Starting point is 00:44:50 You also have the idea that I think, um, I didn't know how I felt about Viola Davis playing Amanda Waller, but she's been phenomenal. So if you're getting rid of everything, is she gone to? Like, I don't know. I'm looking forward to the answers.
Starting point is 00:45:06 I don't need the answers today. I'm looking forward to the answers. I think that that's, to me, something that is very interesting, and I ask you people watching, whether you're watching it on live, or you're watching on the replay. Two overall thoughts on it. Do you, especially after hearing guns, the thing,
Starting point is 00:45:23 do you want it to just develop, do you want it to just take its time, or do you need your answers now? And there's no wrong answer to it. I mean, I have my personal opinion on it, but I'm just curious what you guys think. All right, we're going to get to that portion of the show. I saw the Super Jets coming in, and I promise you,
Starting point is 00:45:40 I'm going to do my best to make sure I recover all of them. I think I know how to do it. But I think I know how to do it. But I will go through and I'll make sure that I get to all of them. But before we do that. Did Avatar win best picture? Win Best Picture? I don't believe so.
Starting point is 00:45:54 I don't believe so. I just saw recommended videos for you, and it was something about like, Avatar is already being called better than, and I thought it said the words best picture there. And I was like, the Avatar Win Best Picture? I don't know. I think it was nominated.
Starting point is 00:46:08 I'm not on screen. I'll look at it over you, right. All right, let's see. But I want to tell you that about this. It's boom, everybody. Boom! Boom. I don't even the logo.
Starting point is 00:46:16 That's fine. Boom. And boom has Dune. Yes, Dune. I'm so excited for Dune. It's amazing. And the good news is that I do have to tell you about it. It's amazing stuff that what they're working.
Starting point is 00:46:32 on. They have this. So if you don't know about Boom Studios, and Boom Studios has been really one of these studios who's kind of just hit the scene in a way that I never, I don't, Winston, we've talked about them any of it. What is it about Boom in general that you love? I love the fact that we're getting truly unique stories. Right. So like from the standpoint of it doesn't mean that I don't love everything that Marvel and DC is doing, but you're taking properties that like, um, you know, Mighty Morphan Power Rangers and giving them, you know, new life in here. But then you're getting these, for you,
Starting point is 00:47:08 I know you've been talking about all the sci-fi stuff instead of just straight superheroes. I think that that's one of the things that's so brilliant about Boom, is they are willing to go out on a limb for all different types of stories, not just straight superheroes, and you're seeing some of the most beautiful and unique artwork that you've seen in books,
Starting point is 00:47:25 maybe ever. You know what I mean? Yes, 100%. That's why I think that having June, like having dune now i didn't even know that they they were working with dune and hearing that they were i mean the second because they sent they sent us like the stuff and and i was like okay what are we getting today and i feel it's it's like christmas for me when these things happen and this is pretty great because this week boom studios had sent us an early sneak peek at a very exciting
Starting point is 00:47:51 title coming out and it's coming out next month and so if you're a fan of dune you might not even be aware that boom studios has been publishing official doom comics i didn't and it expands the rich mythology of Frank Herbert's original books. Their next Dune series is Dune House Harkinanin. It's a 12-issue story written by award-winning novelist Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. The series takes place before the events of Dune and follows the political machinations of House Harkinen as well as the rise of Leto Atreides into the figure that we mean into the original novel.
Starting point is 00:48:21 The first issue drops on January 18th and your pre-orders close this Monday, so you've got to make sure you stop by your local comic shop and get your orders in soon. So I mean, it's absolutely beautiful. You know what's interesting, though, and I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but I still haven't seen either the original Dune or the one that came out last year. It's the beauty of this. This leads you into you. If you read these now, this will lead you into the events of the movie.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Absolutely. So you'll have even more of like an appreciation and understanding. No, absolutely. I think it's one of those situations. It's like when people watch the Star Wars prequel films. and before they watch the OGs. I was very confused when I started reading it, but... That's a reminder.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Anyway, I was very confused for a minute, but as I got through that first issue, I was like, okay, I'm really enthralled. I need to go watch this movie immediately. So, I mean, it looks beautiful. You saw some of the artwork that Krisha was a show. It's really good, and I'm excited for you guys to check it out. And yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:49:27 So if you haven't had an opportunity to check out on these stuff that Boom Studios are doing, we're excited. We've been working with them for a little bit now, and I love getting all the comments about people checking them out and looking at them and seeing all the stuff they're doing the Teenage Mutinyas Turtle stuff that did, you know, the Power Rangers and just all the stuff that they have, these original titles and now working with Dune. I mean, that's when I was like, oh, man, these guys are just killing it. Just really killing it.
Starting point is 00:49:51 Just spot on. Yeah, absolutely spot on. All right. Let's take a look. I'm going to see. I'm going to try now. I'm going to try to do something. And you guys are working with me here.
Starting point is 00:49:58 As we said, we're doing this live stream. And I'm going to do a thing here. Well, I'm going to try to bring up. You might get a lag here for a second as I bring this up. But I'm going to try to bring up the superchats inside of the chat and see if I can, if I can bring it up. Probably definitely. Oh, you know what you could do? What?
Starting point is 00:50:15 You're logged in on your phone, aren't you? Can you look at the super chats on your phone? Yeah, but I want to show them. Ah. I want to show them. So that's what I see. So that's why I want. I can read them on my phone, but I want to make sure.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Would you have to go to the studio to do that or something? Yeah, and it's just working a little slow. So, again, if you're getting a lag at the moment, it should clear up in a second once I bring up the actual super chats. But there's so many that came in, and I don't want to, I want to be able to honor it. And I'm still, like, bear with us on this, on this experiment that we did today. But I think that it's been, it's been fun so far once. It's been good, man, for sure.
Starting point is 00:50:50 I don't know if I'm going to do it. How many times I'm going to do it. I definitely will do Sith tomorrow. But let's see So it was it's over here I'm going to see if I can get this and make sure Because I was taught the other day how to do this And let's see if I do it correctly
Starting point is 00:51:06 Because I'm so appreciative for everybody who did it And I don't want you to put in your heart in money And then it's like well we did Assholes didn't even do this All right let's try it Let's see if this worked out So I think it just came in today And
Starting point is 00:51:19 There it is There they are hello Let's see all Sorry, guys. Got to do it. No dead air. There it is. I know.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Dead air. No, no, no, no. That's why I was doing that. So you didn't have a... I think so we started. So this came in. When did this come in? This came in...
Starting point is 00:51:40 Lava came in today. Okay, good. All right. I think that I can do it, guys. So here we go. Ready? Try this. And we're going to do this.
Starting point is 00:51:48 Badduch and Annich. I don't know what that means. And Winston, tell them something. All right, so this one time, right? I was working my job and someone decided they were going to come in here and they're going to be like, sir, that's literally what the customer said to me. He said, take your text messages off, son. I don't need that right now while I'm trying to, you know, get this customer service thing popping. Oh, I know what I can talk about.
Starting point is 00:52:14 So, yes, I did used to work for Apple. I was behind the Genius Bar. Probably some of my favorite stories. This one will actually make you laugh. You might not be able to focus. So a woman comes in and she goes, I need to speak to the manager. And I was like, whoa, all right.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Are you good? She goes, Apple has been sending me porn. And I was like, that's not a thing. But okay, you can take a look at it or whatever. And there was a bunch of like pornographic images on there. And I was like, ma'am, I don't know what's going on, but this is like in your photos. This looks like this is coming from another device or whatever.
Starting point is 00:52:50 She goes, well, I just don't appreciate the fact that they are sending me, photos of porn that look like my daughter. Like are you guys like you know are you like she's you know in her 20s but it's like whatnot. What she didn't realize is that she had the same they were sharing an Apple ID so that they could use all the same Apple music and whatnot. Yeah. So what ended up happening is as this
Starting point is 00:53:12 girl was taking photos of her ex-poit was going to her parent's phone of all the things that she was doing. Oh my gosh. So just know your technology and get your own Apple ID y'all. That's the one thing I will tell you. because you don't need your mama seeing you getting freaking nasty. So hold on a second here. I'm going to try again, guys. I apologize, thanks for sticking with me for a second.
Starting point is 00:53:33 Winston, don't tell another pornster. Oh, that's fine. Oh, you're just saying keep talking, but all right, my bad. I thought you were putting the show on pause for a second. So, yeah, I mean, look, we got the news about gun and what's going on with everything. I mean, again, it'll be really interesting to see what happens. I will say that that poster for Black, for Blue Beetle looked absolutely phenomenal. And, you know, Sholo, I honestly think is going to legitimately blow this out of the water, man.
Starting point is 00:54:07 I think that he is an absolute star. And I know that you have met him multiple times and interviewed him, Christian. And I cannot wait to see what they're going to do with it. Because just even the design right away of that poster, I'm immediately excited for this. Yeah, me too. All right. Let's see. I do think that, and I love that kid.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Awesome. But let's see, I did a bunch. I'm just going to do it, try to simplify it. And I will find a better way to do this down the line, guys, I promise. So we got a bunch of super chats. I don't want to read all of them. So here are a few of them. Let's do this here. All right.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Atlas Kennedy. With black men and boys hungry for a new hero since Black Panther died, is there any lesser-known black superhero at D.C. that James Gunn could use? Let's see. You got Mr. Terrific. people have been clamoring for a static shock like movie forever. And if you're doing Blue Beetle, they tend to be around the same age. So that's a huge one.
Starting point is 00:55:04 You know, Martian Manhunter to that point, obviously he's Martian, but a lot of times he makes himself a black man. You have icon. You know, there's a lot. There are a lot of superheroes that you can tap into. And I don't even hate the idea of one point bringing Cyborg back. Like I, I, I, you maybe don't go to, with the same casting and whatnot, which I like Ray Fisher, but like you, that, that's a great superhero of itself. And John Stewart.
Starting point is 00:55:31 What are we talking about? Yeah. Yeah. All right. Let's see the next one here. High speed author Travis, I think. He also mentions building off what worked in that Twitter thread, which means cavil being involved is still a great possibility. Absolutely it is.
Starting point is 00:55:47 I mean, that's what, that's why he said some things are true. Some things are not. So that, that, I, I think that they would, it's so hard to say because Cavill coming back, it's the, I think that the biggest problem is they know that if you bring Cavill back, you got a hit. You don't have a hit. The problem is, it's the conversation that we've had many times over. Do you bring Amy Adams back?
Starting point is 00:56:13 If so, does that mean then you have to make sure that Jimmy Olson is dead? Do you, that you have to be? Do you bring back, what's his name as Luther? Right. Jesse Eisenberg. Thank you. Is, Lawrence Fishburn, is he, is, so that's the problem that they have, is that unless you make him that he's from, that this, this cavil is from a different universe. And then you build off that, I mean, but then it's, it's tricky. It is tricky.
Starting point is 00:56:39 So there's no, there's no doubt about it. It's very, it's, it's very, very interesting on how that's going to play. Yeah. All right, let's see. Going back here and again, thank you, everybody. She 11 Munger Wonder Woman 84 W. W.W.E. Hot Garbage Christian.
Starting point is 00:56:58 Must have been smoking. Hashish enjoyed that film. I was just watching it with my wife and we had something to do. Like I said, I'm not going to fight for that film. There's some movies that I'll watch and I'll go to bat for it. Whatever. You think it stinks. I'm not going to argue with you.
Starting point is 00:57:13 So Ben Raynor, the great Ben Rainer. Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman 3 is disappointing, but I get it because Gun and Safran want a clean slate. I hope that Henry stays, but it would be cool if they recasted Superman. He was just so good. John Grisinski would have made a good one if he's not in Fantastic Four. A Superman? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:57:31 I don't know if I see him as Superman. It's just smug sometimes. Yeah, good. I'm trying to think who else just in the young and unknown. Yeah. I think that's the way you do it. If you're going to go for somebody, just do young and unknown. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:44 Yeah, you're not wrong. Or somebody, they don't have to be fully unknown, but maybe they just hit something. Yeah. I'm just trying to think if there's anybody that's sticking out in my mind, not really just, just because it's also just kind of like the, you can get bigger, you can put on muscle, but just like the classic, just like rugged,
Starting point is 00:58:07 all-American boy like looks and not any sort of goofiness to you. Yeah. And I think it's definitely possible who they get. So we'll see, we'll see who it is. But I'm hoping Cavill still, but I understand if they don't get it. Okay, Gallagos, the great Gallagos.
Starting point is 00:58:24 Winston, here's the fiber for the swear jar for you. I got you, but seriously, it's tough being a Superman fan these days. Yeah, I know, but look, it might not be, though, man. Honestly, it might not be. It might turn out to be a great thing. We'll see. Simon Section. Hey, Christian, remember when Spielberg was attached to direct the DC-based comic Blackhawks?
Starting point is 00:58:40 No, I don't remember that. Do you think this will take off or go rogue squadron? Winston missing blurds in the hood, meow. No, I don't know, man. I don't remember that. Do you remember that? No, I do not, actually. Remember that?
Starting point is 00:58:54 I'm curious. I don't know. I think Spielberg's going to stay away from that stuff. I mean, I know he's been talking to D.C. or Warner Brothers more. Maybe this is, I mean, him doing a Superman movie would be interesting. That would be the one character I would enjoy seeing him do. I don't know if there's another DC property that I'd be like, yeah, you should do that.
Starting point is 00:59:14 But that, imagine just a Spielberg epic film. Love to see him do a superman movie. Uh, Dan the Man, a reboot is long overdue, so this is a win. Yeah, I think a lot of people feel that way, man. Gallagost again. Love the show, love you both. What are the chances that the Gunverse could pull a daredevil and keep actors as the same characters, but a different continuity? Certainly possible.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Again, it says, I think that sky's the limit. Sky is the limit right now. Milder comic nerd with a very nice super chat as well. Thank you so much. It's very nice. Just showing support, still watching you on the show with the Nerd Pallage yesterday. Geek Buddies, that was fun, man. That was a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:59:48 I had a good time talking with John and Mike. It was a blast. And thank you for the very nice Super chat. That's awesome. Everybody who's donating, thank you so much. Orange Grove 55. I love Orange Grove. Seems like DC reboot is afoot with James Gun rebooting his own babies.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Peacemaker. Interesting dynamic here. Yeah, I know. It's it. Look, the one thing I will say, it's an exciting time for DC because there's movement. It's like, it's not just kind of like a thing like, I don't know what we're doing. They know they have an idea of what they're doing. There have been people that have strongly enjoyed the DCEU.
Starting point is 01:00:17 Yeah. But if we're just being honest, the entirety of the situation has been one confusing, just like, chaos storm. Yeah. There has never been a universal, like, this was incredible. It was overall, the people that liked it, liked it, and then the people that don't really don't, at least with the MCU, I know not everybody loves it. The majority of people had been on board and really enjoying it through endgame. You know what I mean? Yeah, 100%.
Starting point is 01:00:46 It's nice to see, I think, in the same way that you don't want monopolies. And the reason you don't is because the competition is what makes better product. I need DC to be good. I love a lot of DC characters. So this is a good thing. I want to just came in right now. So I'm going to read it. Randy Avonel says, thanks for the great live show.
Starting point is 01:01:05 Christian, I know technical issues going to be frustrating, but I love the live interactions. Thank you for that. I appreciate it. Yeah, I mean, look, it's just kind of like an impromptu thing. I said to Winston, I was like, hey, I want to try to go live through streaming, for OBS. I haven't done the yet. I keep doing stream yard. So I want to, I want to check it out, see it works. And clearly I have a lot to be able to figure out here before I do this again. I might, I think tomorrow might be a little easier with Sith Council, because I'm just going to do kind of
Starting point is 01:01:28 Q&A for Sith Council, so I'm going to try it. But it's not a thing that I want to do all of the time. Just kind of like special little fun ones to do. I mean, this was a huge story. So it made sense to do it if we had the time, you know. And we haven't done it. We haven't done one. And today was supposed to be, normally it's Sith Council on Wednesday, but I moved. it because we did big thing yesterday because Kathy Kelly came in and then I was going to and then this story broke it's like we got to do capes today. So that's kind of how it all went down. And release the mulligan cut by the way. Well, they set goals on their show. Go to Brett and Caden and follow their goals.
Starting point is 01:02:01 They just did a, they did a 10,000 on their out of the theater reaction that they on Avatar. It was amazing. I didn't think I was going to get as much play on mine. That was pretty cool. That was awesome. That was fun. It was great. But yeah. Yeah. Everybody has really great, great ones. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Jamie and John, favorite Sam Peck and Paw movie. Oh, man, you'd have to, I'd have to go through the resume, to be honest. I'm not as,
Starting point is 01:02:26 I'm not as big of a Peck and Pop fan as everyone else. Not that I don't like him, but I'd have to go through all the titles, to be honest with you. Same? I don't know if I'm familiar with Peck and all.
Starting point is 01:02:37 Kenny Codes. If guns actually serious about a reboot, he'll get rid of Peacemaker, too many old DC connections. I mean, that's what we just said. And I agree. It's true.
Starting point is 01:02:45 It's true. Senior film just putting in 10 bucks. That's really nice. Thank you. Afik Othman. That was from yesterday. That was from yesterday? Oh, yeah, it was.
Starting point is 01:02:55 Well, that's, no, it's from yesterday. It was from, whenever your last stream was. Okay, good. So I think that's, then that should be. Oh, there's one more set you have back there. Yeah, but I don't know. I don't know if I think that I might have taken some more by accident. Well, let's take a look and see.
Starting point is 01:03:09 Yeah, that looks like those are old. Okay. Okay, good. I'm going to double check real quick. And so there was something else. Yeah, I just want to see if I want to reboot. and make sure that nothing else came out that I missed because I don't like missing people super chats absolutely um harder money want to get their question in I appreciate it's also fun because
Starting point is 01:03:24 they come up with some fun stuff that we don't absolutely yeah uh let's see sorry guys we'll call it we'll call it quits in a second here I'm so excited man like the last few times I've been streaming it just was bugging out on me but maybe that's it I just got to try and pull stuff and just got to clear some stuff out it's kind of it's the best way to do it I mean I think you know I don't even know how much how laggy it was in this entire stream or not. It looks like Randy was the last one. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:03:49 Let's double check. Randy, yes. Thanks for the great live show. Okay, good. And we got all that stuff. Okay, good. I think I got everybody's. Hopefully I got everybody's.
Starting point is 01:03:58 It was fun, guys. Thank you very much for joining us today. I really appreciate you. Very much so. I hope that you enjoyed the live stream. Thank you to our sponsors today. Thank you to Boom Studios. Thank you to Manscapes.

So I'm glad that you, I hope you enjoyed yourselves. I mean, that's, we'll be, we'll be updating stuff. And Winston, I, real quick, we think in the studio thus far. I mean, I wish I could give you guys a full 360 of this place. And I almost, did you guys take photos as you were doing it or video as you were doing it? Not really. We should have. Because that would have been cool to see the transformation. But this place is ridiculous now.
Starting point is 01:04:45 Honestly, I am blown away by the work that Christian and Brett have done. I know mainly Brett. Yeah. That's probably accurate. But this place is legit as hell. It's looking good and we're excited. So thank you guys for all the contributions.
Starting point is 01:05:02 Contributions. Thank you. And someone asked me this the other day and I'm going to emphasize this beforehand. We've got so much stuff now in this office. and we were blown away by the love, by everybody kind of, we had this fridge that we thought we were going to get in about a year from now.
Starting point is 01:05:22 We have these lights that we thought we had to get. Someone asked the other day, a few people had asked, say, hey, we have for Christmas, you guys went into Christmas? Like, no, you don't have to do the super chats. You do all that stuff. You don't have to do anything for the people. Is there anything? We still have the Amazon list.
Starting point is 01:05:35 You can look at it. If you say, I'm not getting any of that crap. Don't. I'm just answering a few of the questions that came in. And if someone had asked that, there's an Amazon list. It's in the description. I haven't even been promoting it anymore. But I'm just letting you know. So for people, those people who are generously asking, it's there. So don't worry about it other than that. But what you could do,
