Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
How many of you guys currently have employees right now?
Well, are you able to retain those employees?
This podcast is going to be for you.
Guys, I have built three separate companies in the past six years.
Currently, I have over 70 employees.
Half of them are in the United States.
The other half are international.
I've only had to fire two people in the past three and a half years. How have I been able
to do this? How have I been able to generate over $30 million in revenue across all my businesses
and keep this amount of employees? Well, here's the number one thing, building company culture.
Culture is the number one thing that we actually focus on when we're looking to start up any company.
The way that you run your company's culture
is by leading by example.
The reason why people love to work for me
is because I'm not scared to go and work in the trenches.
I'm not scared to take sales calls.
I'm not scared to go ahead and actually talk to people.
This comes all from having soft skills and life experience.
I was able to gain soft skills since the age of 15 and a half when I had my first job at
a theme park.
I know many of you guys remember that Six Flags Murray World, but I then transitioned
to retail.
Retail really showed me how to build those soft skills.
And then finally getting into college and then trying to discover what I wanted to do for a
living, guys. I then went into the world of corporate America around the age of 21. At the
age of 22, I was already building the self-confidence to go out there and just talk to about just anyone. And by the time I decided to
join the police force at the age of 26, I was a full-fledged, what I like to call, presenter.
I love to talk to people. I love to do public speaking. I love to just say hi to everybody.
At the end of the day, when it comes down to it, guys, closed mouths don't get fed and
people love to follow those that can speak.
So if you are thinking of building the correct company culture to keep retaining your employees,
but not only that, build a great work environment, which now in 2024, it's rather difficult to
build because everybody's working
remote. Majority of the big companies, they're going to remote. And it's very hard to manage
people, especially when they're working from home, right? But what I can tell you is that
jump on those calls with your employees, talk to them. I remember back when I was just a sales
associate, when I was just a police officer, guys, and when I would get an attaboy for doing good work, that would empower me as an employee to go farther for the company, for my boss, and for my leaders.
I hope this helps.
