Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
Today, we're diving into a powerful principle.
Do what others won't, and you'll have what others don't.
This mantra is not just about working hard.
It's about working smart, taking risk, and sometimes going against the grain.
So let me break down what this really means and how applying this principle transformed my life,
but can also transform your life and your business.
It's about innovation, courage,
and being relentless of the pursuit of excellence.
So why is doing what others won't so impactful?
Well, it starts with being different.
In any field, especially in entrepreneurship, standing out is key.
You know, in 2024 with social media and everything, attention is what's going to make your business boom.
So when you choose to tackle the hard problems, the complex challenges, you set yourself apart from the crowd. This can mean innovating new solutions, entering markets others consider
too challenging, or simply applying a level of dedication and perfectionism that is uncommon.
Take my own journey, for example. Transitioning from law enforcement to entrepreneurship wasn't
the path of least resistance. I was actually afraid of the risk and the unknown.
Most of my actual coworkers, family members
told me to stay in my comfort zone,
to stay at the nine to five,
to spend another 35 years until retirement.
But I chose the road less traveled.
I was able to carve out unique opportunities
and ultimately achieve greater success
in the past six years.
Initially, I had to give up my overtime, guys.
I was making $250,000 as a police officer slash detective.
I was working up to 80 to 100 hours per week.
I had to cut my time I was working weekly by half. I was scared. Why?
Because I was losing a lot of money up front, but I did it for the longevity of the game.
I did it for the longevity of my life. I did it to reinvest that time that I would invest into
overtime into my business, which essentially grew into a
multi-million dollar business with over 90 employees and now has built my financial future,
not only for myself, but for my family. Now, how can you, yeah, you that's listening right now,
implement this mindset that I have? Well, first, begin by cultivating a deeper
understanding of your life and what you're trying to do in your industry or niche. Look for gaps
that others are ignoring. These are your golden opportunities. It's not just about working harder
on the same things everyone else is doing. It's about working on the things no one
else is thinking about. So I'm gonna give you guys a great example. When I first started in the ATM
business and I perfected the strategies that worked for me, that made me financially free.
When I went into the online market, I saw that most people were introverted. Okay. So what did
I do? I created a very simple solution that was black and white. Anybody could understand. And I went ahead and executed on it. And what was that? It was an automation service where I was able to go ahead and find leads, provide them with the machine and provide them with everything that they would need to start their own automated teller machine business. The week that I started
implementing this, guys, my business skyrocketed. $30,000 the first month, $60,000 the next month,
and then finally $120,000 the third month, which essentially I went back to my 95 and I was just
I got to go. I got to go build a multi-million dollar business. So let's talk about resilience. Doing what others won't often means
facing more rejection and setbacks.
The key here is being resilient.
Each failure is a stepping stone to success.
When others might give up,
your willingness to persevere sets you apart.
And then finally,
you gotta align your actions with your values.
You got to be authentic.
Being authentic resonates with people.
When you're true to your values and pursuit of your goals, not only do you stand out, but you also build trust and loyalty.
This is invaluable.
Whether you're building a personal brand,
you're leading a team or you're
just serving your clients they could tell that you are real it's about seeing where you can add
the most value effectively it's about being bold persistent and driven by a purpose that transcends
into the ordinary so i'm encouraging you today to take the leap,
do the hard work and set yourself up for another level of success that others can only dream of.
You got to push the boundaries. You got to get uncomfortable to get comfortable.
You got to start innovating and remember the extraordinary is within your reach.
So dream big, act boldly, and inspire others along the way.
That's how legends are made.
Let's level up.
