Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to the Level Up Podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Remember, I have your six. Get ready to level up right now. Hey guys, so for today's episode, it's all about perseverance. If there's one thing about my journey that has taught me, it's that success is not about avoiding failure, but it's learning to persist through it. Coming from an immigrant family, with my parents hailing all the way from Peru and Mexico, the value of hard work and resilience was instilled in me from a young age.
Starting point is 00:00:43 But let me tell you, it's one thing to know about perseverance. It's another to live it. So let's rewind back to those days of me working 80 to 100 hour work weeks as a detective in the city of Oakland. Yeah, those hours, they sucked. The work, it was tough. But more than anything, it taught me the importance of focus and dedication. Qualities that I didn't realize would become the cornerstone of my future in marketing and sales. Guys, this is the only way I was able to go ahead and actually build a multi-eight-figure company. When I started my first company a few years ago, I wasn't just transitioning from a detective to an entrepreneur. I was stepping into a completely unknown world. Failure, I faced it more times than I like to admit. But with each setback, I learned to adapt and push forward. Now, let's talk about how you guys
Starting point is 00:01:37 can apply this to your own journey. First, understand that setbacks are the part of the process. When you fail, it's tempting to stay down and just feel sorry for yourself. But remember, every failure is just a stepping stone to your success. You need to reflect on what went wrong and use it to make your next steps more informed and use strategy. Second, surround yourself with people who uplift you. Guys, everybody that started with me since the very beginning, I've brought them with me till now, six years later. During my toughest times, I leaned on my mentors
Starting point is 00:02:13 and my peers who reminded me of my goals and pushed me to keep going. And sometimes, I'm gonna be real honest with you, it was just about helping someone else in need to remind myself of the bigger picture, that we're all in this journey together trying to make a positive impact to change the world lastly never lose sight of why you started guys know your why my why is my family for me it's about providing value and helping the
Starting point is 00:02:37 less fortunate as well every challenge i face is worth it if it means that i can support others in finding their own path to success. Man, that's all I got for today, guys. I hope you guys enjoyed this. Remember, perseverance isn't just about enduring. It's about finding ways to thrive despite the odds.
