Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
Entrepreneurship is often glamorized,
but the truth is it's really hard.
It's tough and it's a demanding journey, guys.
It's one of the hardest things I've ever done ever since I've done police work for seven years in the city of Oakland in California.
It requires going to war with yourself to become the best version of an entrepreneur.
So let's explore what it really takes to succeed
in this challenging yet rewarding path, okay?
So working for myself comes with incredible freedom
and potential, guys.
I mean, I've never felt so free not having a boss.
I am my own boss.
I actually have over 100 employees.
But at the end of the day,
it also is an immense responsibility and pressure 24-7.
When you're your own boss, there's no one else to blame for your failures. And there's no one else
to take credit for your successes. So it's a double edged sword that requires a unique mindset
and relentless determination to be the best. So the first reality that success doesn't come
overnight, guys. Okay. So let's get rid of that whole guru talk that you usually see on social
media saying like, Hey, you could, you know, be successful within, you know, three days.
That doesn't happen, guys. Unless you are willing to pay humongous amount of finances upfront to
have someone to build a business for you, you're going to have to learn. You're going to have to learn it, guys. So building a great company
takes time, effort, and a whole lot of patience. It involves actually long hours, countless setbacks,
and consistent problem solving. The key is to stay committed and keep pushing forward no matter
what. Even when things get tough, every great entrepreneur has faced adversity.
But what sets them apart is their resilience and ability to keep moving forward.
Being an entrepreneur means consistently going to war with yourself.
This isn't about physical conflict, but a mental and emotional struggle with yourself.
You'll face self-doubt, fear,
and uncertainty. You'll question your decisions. Sometimes you'll feel overwhelmed by the
responsibilities, guys. I'm being honest with you. I go through this every single day. It's essential
to develop mental toughness and strong sense of self-belief. Remember, the greatest battles
are often fought within. Okay.
So when you're really listening to that sentence, the greatest battles are often fought within.
The battle is within yourself. It's you versus you. You have to make sure you're going into this
and you're going to win. Okay. No matter what. So great entrepreneurs understand the importance
of discipline and self-control.
When you work for yourself, there's no one to enforce deadlines or manage your schedule.
It's up to you to stay organized, set priorities, and maintain focus.
You have to be proactive, not reactive, guys.
Develop routines and habits that keep you productive and on track.
Look, discipline is the bridge between goals and achievement.
Let me repeat that one more time. Discipline is the bridge between goals and achievement.
Building a great company also means building a great team. You have to be a great leader,
lead by example. No one can do it alone. Hire people who share your vision and complement
your skills, guys. Create a positive and very motivating work
environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. As a boss, as a CEO, as a founder,
as a leader, you have to empower your troops. Leadership isn't just about giving orders. It's
about inspiring and guiding your team toward a common goal that you guys can all win together.
And then finally, guys, balance is vital.
The journey in entrepreneurship can be all-consuming, dude.
But it's important to find a balance between work and personal life.
Taking care of your physical and mental health is essential for long-term success.
Make time for family.
Make time for hobbies.
And make time to relax.
A well-rounded life contributes to more
productivity and a more fulfilling journey in building your business and becoming financially
free, guys. All right. So until next time, stay resilient, stay disciplined, and as always,
let's level up. Remember, I always have your six. Make sure to share this episode with your family,
