Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
How helping and inspiring others
can enrich your own journey in entrepreneurship.
Whether you're a seasoned business owner or just starting out,
understanding the impact of mentorship and support can redefine your path
and the path of those around you.
Look, guys, when I started back in law enforcement, I was a lone wolf.
It wasn't until my second year in law enforcement that I finally realized that it takes
a team to build something great. And that goes with any line of work that you do. Entrepreneurship
isn't just about building businesses. It's about building communities. It's about lifting others
as we climb, sharing knowledge and opening the doors for the next generation of innovators
and leaders. So my transition from law enforcement to entrepreneurship, I knew that me helping my
fellow coworker was going to help me in the future. Why? Because it was going to build me to be a
leader in entrepreneurship. It was going to go ahead and help me think like a
leader and also lead by example. So everything that I did in law enforcement, I went ahead and
I duplicated it in entrepreneurship. So helping others was part of me growing into a leader.
So let me explain a couple of things to you guys. Let's start by talking
about why helping others is beneficial, not only to you, but to them as well. When you invest time
and invest in assisting others, you're also deepening your own understanding, teaching it
and learning twice. Every time you explain a concept or mentor someone, you're going to
reinforce your own knowledge and often gain new insights
through dialogue and feedback. And this is the great thing about being a mentor, guys.
You are doubling down on what you believe in, your belief system, and what works.
Furthermore, helping others expand your network. Each person you assist brings a new dimension to
your professional circle. These relationships can lead to partnerships,
opportunities, and even new ventures. As I transitioned from law enforcement to entrepreneurship,
the network I built through mentoring and collaboration was instrumental in navigating
through new industries. So for a great example, I brought a fellow coworker into a executive
position in my first business. That executive in my first business, ATM Together,
then came on to be a co-founder
and then also a CEO for my second business.
So at the end of the day,
you never know how helping someone else
may lead you to another path
in your entrepreneurship journey.
Now, how can you start making a difference in your life?
How can you start mentoring people?
It begins with being accessible, okay?
Make yourself available to other aspiring entrepreneurs.
Guys, I get DM'd, hundreds of DMs.
I try to, at minimum, try to message back
two to three people a day, okay?
Just send them a voice note, send them some advice
because there's people that are actually
out there struggling.
Look, karma is real, guys.
You help others, God is going to help you.
This could come through online forums, social media, local meetups, or even guest lectures.
Share your journey, the good, the bad, and the transformative.
Your stories can ignite passion, provide comfort during tough times, and other invaluable lessons to people that hear your story.
Consider formalizing your efforts by creating internships or mentorship programs within your business.
This not only helps others, but also brings fresh ideas and enthusiasm into your organization.
It encourages a culture of learning and innovation, which are the backbones to any thriving company.
So, guys, look, I've had several roles in my companies where I've allowed beginner entrepreneurs start their journey with me.
And the reason why is I build them up.
And then if they become good, if they put in the work, guess what?
I increase their salary.
I start paying them well.
I mean, they level up along with me.
So don't underestimate the power
of encouragement. Sometimes a few words of encouragement can make all the difference.
Remember, the entrepreneurial path can be daunting. A little support can go a long way
in boosting someone's morale and persistence. Lastly, and I always talk about this, guys,
leading by example. The most powerful form of inspiration comes from watching someone
else succeed while adhering to values of integrity, persistence, and generosity.
Be the leader you would have needed when you started your journey, whether that's in business, your nine-to-five, or just in life.
Your actions can inspire others to follow suit and perhaps even to the past and the legacy of the mentorship.
As I wrap up today's episode, remember that in the world of entrepreneurship, success is not just measured by your personal achievements, but also by the impact you have on others.
By helping and inspiring others, you contribute to making a more vibrant, knowledgeable, and compassionate entrepreneurship community.
So thank you for tuning in to the Level Up podcast.
Look, guys, make sure that you guys reach out to other people that need the help.
Lift them up.
Inspire them to change.
Together, we can create an ecosystem where everyone thrives and wins.
Until next time, keep sharing, keep supporting, and keep innovating.
Let's level up.
