Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to the Level Up Podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Remember, I have your six. Get ready to level up right now. Okay, guys, so let's talk about how I knew I was going to become a millionaire and how you will know if you will become a millionaire. So story time, as you guys know, a lot of people know me as the ATM guy online, but before that, okay, guys, I had a plan. I had a plan since my early twenties, guys. Okay. I didn't have a mentor. I didn't come from a rich family.
Starting point is 00:00:47 I just worked hard my entire life since 15 and a half, since my first job at Six Flags Marine World over here in Vallejo, California, guys. I was making like $4 an hour after paying the toll bridge every day to go there, guys. But I was happy. I was happy because I was actually generating cash flow for myself. So when you're thinking about this right now, I want you to really listen to what I'm going to say. You first have to have the vision
Starting point is 00:01:12 of you putting in the work and obtaining the small goals, whether that's starting your ATM business, whether that's doing digital marketing, whether that's starting real estate, whether that's doing investments, whether that's going ahead and, whether that's starting real estate, whether that's doing investments, whether that's going ahead and investing in your first stock. At the end of the day, without vision, you can't execute because you're going to be lost. It's like going into a
Starting point is 00:01:38 dark tunnel without a flashlight, guys. You need that light in order to have the vision. Now, the second thing that I did is I spoke it into existence. I knew since a very young age. I remember one day I was telling my mother, I think it was like around 16 years old. I told her, I was like, mom, one day I will make six figures. And this is me at 16 years old, guys. My mom will tell you if you ask her. She'd be like, yeah, she actually said it. And at that time, you years old, guys. My mom will tell you if you ask her, she'll be like, yeah, she actually said it. And at that time, you guys got to think about it like this.
Starting point is 00:02:17 This is back in the early 2000s. $100,000 back then was a lot of money. So that was my first milestone. I was able to hit that at the age of 22. From the age of 22, when I hit that, I remember that year, I told my mom, hey mom, I'm moving out. I'm buying my first condo. I did it. She's like, congratulations. Now, the next milestone for me in my mind, and I didn't tell, I never told my mom this, was making a quarter of a million dollars. So at that time, I had exceeded what I can make at the current position I was at, at the current company that I was working for in corporate America. And I wasn't fulfilled anymore doing sales. So I was just like, hey, let me try something new. So I tried law enforcement.
Starting point is 00:02:56 And what also got me tied into law enforcement was not only helping the people, but then also the fact that I would be able to work a little bit harder than the rest and be able to make a little bit more money that I could save. But ultimately, I was looking at the longevity of it, of investing into real estate, investing into other investments, and then starting some side businesses. So I went into real estate, made $250,000 within my first, second, third year. Okay. And I was able to go ahead and consistently be a high six-figure earner throughout my years in law enforcement that allowed me to not only save the money,
Starting point is 00:03:35 but invest into businesses that I knew will grow in the future, guys. As I continue to go ahead and invest into these businesses, I got closer and closer to the vision of becoming a millionaire. When I wanted my first dream car, my first dream car was a Porsche Panamera. I remember the year where I was writing my goals and I told myself, you know what? Porsche Panamera, that's a badass car, but I don't want an older one. I want a brand new one off the lot. And I told myself,
Starting point is 00:04:13 unless I have over 100K in the bank, I'm not going to get it. So what did I end up doing? Once I started my very first business, while I was in law enforcement and I became financially free and I had the money in the bank, you got to treat yourself. You got to have your trophy. And at that time, my trophy was that dream car. Everybody at the department was just like, dude, there's no way this guy could afford a six-figure car on a calp salary. But little did they know, I've been working on my vision this entire time. Small goals, one after the other, step by step, brick by brick.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Remember, you are special and you don't have to listen to the naysayers. You're the one that's going to control your destiny and you're the one that's going to have to put in the work. So get to work. Hope this helps. Remember, I always have your six.
