Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
All right, guys, let's talk about how dating
or being with the wrong women can actually stop you
from becoming a millionaire. All right, story time, guys. I was a successful nightclub promoter
from 18 all the way up to I was like around 24, okay? Let's start around 18 and 19 years old.
So 18, 19 years old, I was still working a realtor job. Essentially, I would always tell people like I was like the Al Bundy at a young age.
I used to work like at Macy's Women's Shoes.
Fun job, guys.
I mean, great, great job.
And at that time, this is before I got that job at Corporate America.
But I was also on the side working as a nightclub promoter.
So my annual salary was around $80,000 guys. And this is
around 2008. Okay. This is years ago. So think about that. Around 2008, I was making $80,000.
I was a nightclub promoter. I was working a part-time job in retail. I was a young dude.
I was motivated, but I also loved to party. So what do I mean by party? Going out,
going to a nightclub, meeting girls, all that fun stuff. And I was dating different girls. I loved to go to the club. I loved to
party. And social media wasn't around, guys. So think about it like that. I didn't have a mentor
that time to tell me like, hey, Paul, you should invest your money into building some more
businesses or this is how you could capitalize on building
generational wealth.
I didn't have that.
And you guys got to think about it like this.
I come from an immigrant family.
So my parents, they were just like, son, you're doing well.
Just have fun.
You're young, you know, enjoy it.
And just keep going.
So I ended up at the age of 21, leveling up guys.
I got a job in sales, but I was still going out.
My lifestyle wasn't changing.
It was a very toxic lifestyle.
It was keeping me stagnant, meaning that it was keeping me in the same place, guys.
So even if you guys are making more money, but you guys are living a lifestyle that doesn't
match leveling up, you're going to still stay the same and you're going to run into the same problems. If you're not able to go ahead and invest money when you make 50K a year,
100K a year, or even a million dollars a year, you're not going to be able to go ahead and
actually be good with money and invest your money when you make millions of dollars, guys.
So you have to build the discipline now, okay?
And that's what I had to learn through hard life experiences, guys. Like I said, I've lived
three different lives. Corporate America, essentially, I was making over 100K in sales
as a young dude under 25, but I was keeping up with the Joneses. Yeah, I had my condo,
I had my dream car and all that stuff. But when I transitioned to law enforcement, guys, I got caught up with keeping up with the Joneses again. Why? Because
I doubled my income. I was making $250,000 a year as a detective. But at the same time,
I wasn't financially free. So how was I able to escape the matrix? I was able to escape the matrix because I stopped dealing with the toxic woman.
I started focusing on myself.
I started to build myself.
And I started to see who I was transforming as a man.
So when you think about it, if you're having issues, like if you could relate to my story,
guys, I'm going to tell you this from
one friend to the other, focus on you. Okay. Whether you're a man or a woman, doesn't matter.
This is for everybody. You need to build yourself up first, become financially free,
and then go find your king or queen. I hope this helps guys. Take care. Remember, I always have your six.
