Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
Hey everyone, and welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm Paul Alex, and today I want to dig into
something that's crucial for anyone chasing big dreams. All right? I'm a dreamer, but I'm also
an action taker, which makes you a bloodline breaker. So how to start working on your goals
and visions, even if the process isn't something you particularly enjoy, guys. Look, trust me,
I've been there. When I first started my first side hustle that later became my full-time position with Automated Teller Machines seven years ago,
I didn't always love the task I had to take on.
But late nights, handling paperwork,
making those uncomfortable cold calls, door knockings,
learning the ins and outs of an entirely new industry.
It wasn't glamorous, guys.
It sucked.
But I hadn't pushed through those moments.
I wouldn't have transformed that side hustle
into the success that it was, guys, the success of a full-time venture that it became, okay?
So the first step in working towards goals you're not crazy about is to connect with your why.
Why did you set your goal in the first place? For me, it was about escaping the grind of the
9 to 5 in law enforcement and
building a life of freedom for my family, particularly my mother. When I felt unmotivated,
I just reminded myself of that vision, a life where I had financial control and more time with
my loved ones, where I was able to retire my mother. That vision was powerful enough to keep
me going even when the work wasn't enjoyable. Okay. And like I said, guys, you guys are not going to be motivated every day. So next you got to break your goals down into bite size,
manageable steps. This is key here. Okay. So when I was growing that side hustle into a full-time
business, the big picture, what became overwhelming instead of focusing on the end result, I zeroed
in on what I can do each day, making more sales calls, refining my
approach, learning something new. By breaking it down, I kept moving forward when even when the
enthusiasm wasn't there, guys, because like I said, you're not going to be motivated every day.
You got to remember your why. You got to take manageable steps and you're going to be able to
execute on your goal a lot faster. So the next step,
discipline. Discipline is another key factor here. Discipline means doing what needs to be done
regardless of how you feel. Back in my law enforcement days, guys, discipline was non-negotiable.
I was voluntold to do a lot of things. And at the end of the day, I got to do what I got to do.
And you're going to have to do what you got to do in life. So there were many days I didn't want to put in those long hours, but I showed up because it was
my duty. It was my duty for the community. It was my duty for myself. It was the duty for my family.
So that discipline carried over into my entrepreneurial journey. I didn't always
enjoy the grind, but I showed up every single day
because I knew that consistent action
would eventually lead to success.
But look, guys, you can't forget.
Don't forget to celebrate the small wins.
Every step forward is progression, okay?
It's progress, no matter how small.
I used to reward myself for hitting milestones,
whether it was a break or a simple celebration,
a nice thick dinner with my family at Roof Chris at that time.
Guys, those small victories make the journey more enjoyable and it kept me pushing forward.
So if you're finding it tough, if you're finding yourself that you're lazy,
if you're finding yourself unmotivated, look, this is what I got for you.
Even if you don't love the process, remember to focus on your why, okay?
Break it down into small steps,
stay disciplined, and celebrate those small wins.
It's not always going to be fun.
Trust me, life isn't fun.
But believe me, it's worth it.
You're gonna thank me in a couple months
and a couple years, okay?
So guys, thanks for tuning in
