Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
Hey everyone, and welcome to the Level Up Podcast
with Paul Alex.
So today I want to actually talk about something that's crucial if you want to dominate in any field, any industry, or any niche.
How to walk away from the 98% of the people who don't succeed, and how to become part of the 2% who do.
So, let me take you back when I was working in law enforcement.
I was surrounded by people who were content with the status quo.
Working long hours,
living paycheck by paycheck, and dreaming of retirement, guys. But I knew deep down inside that I didn't want to live like that forever, okay? People are like, oh, you think you're better? No,
I don't think I'm better. I just think I deserve more. I wanted more. So I made the decision
to step away from that mindset and focus on becoming part of the top 2%. So here are the
first step you need
in order to recognize that you need to distance yourself
from the 98%.
Those are people who are complacent, negative,
or simply not driven to achieve greatness.
The key word, greatness.
It is not easy, okay?
Let me repeat that.
It is not easy.
If life was easy, everybody would have it made, okay?
Especially when it involves people
you've known for a very long time, but I've had to make tough decisions, including distancing
myself from certain friends, colleagues, family members who didn't share my vision. They didn't
believe in my vision. Okay. And if they don't believe in your vision, are they really your
friends or do they really care about you? Instead, I started surrounding myself with people who were already
where I wanted to be at. Okay. Successful people, successful entrepreneurs, successful mentors,
and high achievers. Okay. Next you have to embrace the grind. The top 2% aren't afraid of hard work.
Okay. I face hard work every single day and I make that hard work my bitch. All right. And that's the way you
guys got to see it. Okay. You guys got to crush every single day. When I started my first business,
a side hustle that eventually turned into a full-time position, guys, I knew I had to outwork.
I'll learn everyone around me while others were watching TV, Netflix, or just hanging out. I was
studying, I was planning and I was. That kind of dedication is what separates successful people from the broke people, okay? So be successful,
guys. Another key aspect to this is to stay laser focused on your goals. The 98%, okay,
often get distracted by shiny objects, quick fixes, and whatever else everyone else is doing,
okay? If you want to be in the top 2%, you have to block out the noise.
You have to hyper-focus on your own path.
For me, that meant setting clear goals
and not letting anything or anyone
derail me from achieving them, okay?
So lastly, be willing to take risk, calculate a risk.
The top 2% aren't afraid
to step outside their comfort zone, guys.
Here's the thing, when somebody gives me a challenge, I crush it.
Like I said earlier, I'm making my bitch.
And you got to make it your bitch too because at the end of the day, hey, life's hard.
So who is going to be hard with me, guys?
You got to choose your heart.
You're either going to be broke or you're going to be rich.
You can't be either or.
All right?
So what do I have to tell you?
When I was venturing into unfamiliar territory, but I believed in my vision,
I was willing to bet on myself.
So when I launched multiple businesses
in the past seven years,
I had a consistent, a consistent track record of success.
Why?
Because I believe in myself so much
that other people see my vision and they believe
and we build.
And that's what it's about, building.
So that willingness to take calculated risks
has ultimately led me to generate over $6 million
in my first year on my second business
with merchantautomation.com.
Guys, you guys see me wearing the polo right here.
So if you wanna dominate
and you wanna become part of the 2%,
start by distancing yourself from the 98%
who aren't committed to success.
Surround yourself with winners. Embrace
the grind. Stay focused on your goals and don't be afraid to take risks. It's not easy, guys.
It's not. Trust me. I live three different lives. I could tell you at the age of 36,
life is hard, but the rewards are worth it. Okay? I promise you. So thanks for tuning in to the
