Let me tell you something, nobody builds success alone. You need people in your corner, but not just any people, the right people.

And if you're not intentional about this, you're playing too small. So let's buckle up because I'm not sugar coating this one. First, stop thinking about what you can take and start focusing on what you can give. Look, most people network like parasites. They're all about, what can this person do for me? When I left law enforcement and started building businesses, I didn't go around asking for handouts. I showed up, added value, and I provided my worth. You wanna open doors? Bring something to the table, period. Second, stop treating relationships like transactions. You're not building a list of contacts. You're building a circle of trust.

Relationships take time, consistency, and effort. I'm not talking about hitting someone up only when you need something. That's fake. Show up, support people, and be real. When people know you're genuine, they'll fight to open doors for you. And lastly, get in the damn room.

Listen, if you're not surrounding yourself with winners, you're wasting your time. You want to level up? You need to be in rooms where people are doing what you're dreaming of doing. Invest in yourself. Go to the events. Join the masterminds. Put yourself in the environments where success is normal. You can't learn to win by hanging with people who are comfortable losing. Look, what's the bottom line here? Building relationships isn't optional, it's essential. Stop waiting for someone to come save you and start showing up with value, consistency, and be authentic.
