Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
Today, we're talking about one of the most crucial elements
of achieving greatness, discipline.
Without discipline, even the best plans or intentions can fall apart.
But with it, you can unlock your true potential and accomplish anything you set your mind to.
Discipline is the bridge between goals and achievement.
It's what keeps you moving day by day. Even when
motivation wanes, guys, and I'm not trying to go ahead and confuse you with my verbiage,
but what I'm saying is I'm even trying to level up every single day by the way I speak, okay?
So what I mean is I'm talking about even when motivation fades away, all right? But how do you cultivate discipline?
How do you turn it into a habit that consistently drives you towards success?
So let's go ahead and explore this together. You got to understand that discipline starts
with a small, consistent action. It's not about making massive changes overnight.
You ever heard the term when somebody goes ahead and says,
Hey, I'm going to become a millionaire.
Well, two, three years later, when you ask what happened to becoming a millionaire,
they never took the small, consistent actions to make that happen.
So it's about taking small, manageable steps that add up over time.
The snowball effect. Start by identifying one of two
habits that will significantly impact your goals. Maybe it's waking up an hour early to work on your
side hustle or committing to a daily workout routine that's going to improve your health and
get you shredded. You got to focus on these small habits and commit to making them truly, fully consistent actions.
Create a routine.
Successful people like myself, like my wife, like absolutely everybody that I know that
is a one percenter in this world has a routine.
So what do you have to do?
You have a routine because they reduce the mental load of decision making and build
positive habits design a daily schedule that aligns with your goals and stick to it consistency
is key the more you stick to your routine the more it becomes second nature the less willpower it
takes to maintain it accountability isability is another powerful tool.
You got to share your goals and routines with someone you trust, someone that can keep you
accountable, like your spouse, your wife, your husband, your employee, your executive assistant,
whoever, whoever's going to keep you in check. It could be a friend, it could be a family member,
or it could be a mentor like myself. having someone to check in with you can provide the motivation to stay on track especially on days when you feel
like giving up accountability partners is how i was able to become successful guys they actually
encouraged me and provided me perspective and also told me to stay committed guys so at the end of
the day was i able to go ahead
and build everything that I have now by myself absolutely not it takes a tribe
to win so additionally your surroundings your surroundings can either support or
hinder your efforts to build discipline you got to remove distractions and
create an environment that fosters focus and productivity. This might mean
organizing your workspace, setting boundaries with your time, and also finding a quiet place to work
without interruptions. You got to control your environment and you'll find it easier to stay
disciplined. I've had to go ahead and actually mentor a lot of my employees where they work from
home, they're in sales, and at the end of the day, they're not able to get their job done right, or possibly their sales goal is not being reached that week.
And then I break it down to them. Is your location where you are working quiet? Are you free of
distractions? And for most of us, if we're working at home, okay, we got the TV, we got the fridge,
we got the bed I mean how many of
you guys find it extremely difficult to work from home all right I'm one of them
guys that's why I ended up getting an office in downtown Miami about a good 30
40 minutes away from where I live because I literally live in the middle
of nowhere because that's hey I want my peace and quiet, right? But when it comes down to doing business,
I wanna make sure that I am 110% locked in.
This is why I took the accountability
to go ahead and actually get an office
where everybody can come to work
and stay disciplined by taking small actions every day.
Now, you have to also embrace the power of self-reflection. This is super important.
Regularly take time to reflect on your progression and assess what's working and what's not. This
practice helps you stay aligned with your goals and makes it necessary adjustments to your routine.
Self-reflection can also be as simple as journaling or at the end of each day or having a weekly
review session to evaluate your process and set new goals i like to set up this on mondays this
is why i call it money mondays because it's the day that we plan the rest of the week or the next
two weeks and then guess what we make the moves we make the adjustments so building discipline
takes time and effort and you're bound to encounter setbacks
no matter what, guys. It's entrepreneurship. It's business. So don't be too hard on yourself
when you slip up. Acknowledge the mistake, learn from it, and get back on track. The journey to
self-discipline is not about perfection. It's about persistence and progression. It's a lifestyle.
It's the foundation upon which you can build your dreams
and turn them into reality. So until next time, stay consistent, stay focused. And as always,
let's level up. Remember, I always have your six. Make sure to share this episode with your family,
friends, and anyone you care about. The world's already hard enough and we need to take care of
