Welcome to the Level Up Podcast.
I'm your host, Paul Alex.
I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur
that helps average people like you and me
make money every single day.
I created this podcast to help you get motivated
and to crush your goals.
Let's win together.
Remember, I have your six.
Get ready to level up right now.
A critical topic for all aspiring entrepreneurs,
the importance of taking imperfect action and how to handle naysayers, the haters, and the wannabes that do not want you to succeed, including those close to you who may not believe in your vision.
Look, guys, starting a business is tough. Starting a business is a leap of faith. It's natural to want everything to be perfect
before you launch, but in actual reality, perfection is a myth, especially in entrepreneurship.
It is not pretty. Waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect product or the perfect service or
the perfect idea can hold you back from ever getting started. Taking imperfect action means beginning with what you
have from where you are. It's about progress over perfection. This approach not only accelerates
your learning curve, but also builds momentum. Remember, you can always refine your offer. You
can always refine your business and improve as you go, but you can't improve on something that
doesn't exist yet.
So if you've been thinking about that idea for years, this is your chance to actually execute.
Now, let's address the elephant in the room, dealing with the haters. It's tough when the people you expect to support you are the ones mostly to doubt you. This can come from friends,
families, girlfriends, whoever. Haters hate,
but because they have concerns that can stem from their own fears and insecurities. First,
understand that their disbelief does not determine your success. Entrepreneurship is not about proving
others wrong. It's about proving to yourself that you can do it. Use their doubt as fuel to drive
your commitment to your goals.
Guys, and this is personally coming from me. Even when I was in law enforcement, people doubted that
I was going to be a good cop. Well, I was a award-winning detective. People doubted me when
I was in corporate America. They said that I wouldn't be a good salesman. Well, I was ranked
number one for four out of the six years, and I got promoted several times.
And same thing in entrepreneurship, guys.
People counted me out before I even started, and now I'm a multimillionaire.
So if I could do it, you could do it too.
I'm not that special. So to continue with this, guys, communicating your vision clearly can sometimes turn skeptics into supporters. Share your plans, your research,
and your enthusiasm. Sometimes people doubt simply because they don't understand.
So you enlightening them about the potential you see might change their perspective. It's not
important to build a network to support outside your immediate circle. Connect with like-minded
individuals. This is why I love Facebook groups. Connect with like-minded individuals.
This is why I love Facebook groups. I love digital communities, guys. I'm a big backer behind it.
Other entrepreneurs who are also taking risks and understand the challenges you face,
their encouragement and advice can be invaluable when doubt creeps in. Another key strategy that I use, you got to celebrate the small wins, no matter how small, guys.
It's progression.
This builds your confidence, and you can also demonstrate to the haters that your ideas actually are working.
They have merit.
Each small success is proof that you're moving in the right direction.
Remember, every great entrepreneur you admire started from somewhere.
And they faced their share of disbelief, failure, and not believing in themselves. But guess what? They succeeded. Not because they took perfect steps, but because they
took consistent ones regardless of other people's opinion. So I want to leave you with this thought.
Action beats inaction. The world rewards those who move forward despite imperfections.
Don't wait for the perfect time or universal approval.
Start now, learn fast, and keep going.
Take a step into your future and remember,
the best way to predict your future is just to create it.
You run your own world. You run your own world.
You run your own narrative.
And remember, the storyteller is the one that actually runs the entire agenda.
Keep leveling up, guys.
Take care.
