When you are building the initial systems, making the first cold calls, and designing the standard operating procedures, all of your work is completely invisible to the market. Whether you are building an agency or launching software, the foundation phase is lonely. If you demand immediate applause, you kill the crop before it sprouts. Second, you have to fall in love

with the silent repetition. People do not escape the rat race because they had one burst of motivation. They escape it because they execute the boring, tedious task in the middle of the night when their friends are asleep or out drinking. So, instead of looking for external motivation,
