The Level Up Podcast w/ Paul Alex - The Price of Prestige
Episode Date: April 17, 2026If you compete on price… You’ve already lost. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down the real reason most entrepreneurs stay stuck—they race to the bottom instead of po...sitioning at the top. Because let’s be real… Cheap offers attract cheap clients. And cheap clients cost you the most. Your time. Your energy. Your sanity. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why lowering your price destroys your authority in the market How pricing directly impacts the type of clients you attract Why high-ticket buyers care about results—not discounts How to position your offer as a premium solution that commands attention Because the goal isn’t to be the cheapest… It’s to be the most valuable. You don’t sell deliverables. You sell outcomes. You don’t compete on price. You dominate on transformation. And when your confidence matches your value… The market pays you accordingly. No chasing. No convincing. No discounting. Just authority. Your Network is your NETWORTH! What's up, everyone?
Welcome back to the Level Up podcast.
I'm Paul Alex.
And today we are tackling a massive pricing mistake that destroys your positioning.
Racing to the bottom. Because let's be real, if you try to compete purely on having the cheapest price in your industry, you will attract the most difficult clients who value your time the least. Let's break down how to command premium rates and completely eliminate the cheap competition. First, realize that price implies quality. Too many people think lowering their rates will automatically bring in more volume. It usually just brings in more headaches. If you position your offer as a bargain, high-level clients will completely ignore.
you because they assume it is defective.
Whether you are offering consulting or done for you services,
the elite buyer wants the best, not the cheapest.
If you discount your worth, you kill your authority.
Second, sell the massive return on investment, not the deliverable.
People do not pay $10,000 for a set of videos or a weekly call.
They pay $10,000 to solve a $100,000 problem.
So instead of listing out all the features of your program,
focus entirely on the transformation.
Make your price tag look incredibly small compared to the value they are getting.
Lastly, confidence is the ultimate closer.
When you state your premium price without a single stutter or apology, the prospect immediately feels safe.
Unshakeable belief in your product, deep market knowledge, and absolute certainty,
create a magnetic sales environment.
When you know you're worth, the market pays it.
Bottom line, competing on price is a game for amateurs.
Raise your standard.

together. In January of 1915, Ernest Shackleton's ship, Endurance, became encased in the ice in the
wettle sea. Through determination, grit and savvy, Shackleton would lead his men through a brutal
winter, then over hundreds of miles of Antarctic ice, followed by 800 miles across some of the
roughest waters in the world. It is one of the most extraordinary and inspirational journeys
in the history of exploration. Find this story and many
