Because let's be real. If you are constantly talking over your prospects and pitching your features, you are talking your way right out of the deal.
Starting point is 00:01:11 Let's break down how silence actually drives massive revenue. First, understand that people tell you exactly how to sell to them if you just let them speak. In my former career in law enforcement, I learned very quickly that silence makes people uncomfortable. If you sit quietly, the other person will almost always fill the void with the exact information you are looking for.
Starting point is 00:01:33 In business, it is the exact same concept. Whether you are in a boardroom or on a discovery call, talking too much shows anxiety. If you ramble, you kill the authority. Second, you have to stop selling the features and start diagnosing the pain. People do not want to hear a 30-minute monologue about how great your company is.
Starting point is 00:01:52 They want to know that you understand their specific problem. So instead of launching into your rehearsed pitch, ask a deep question and then completely, mute your microphone. Make them verbalize their own need for your solution. Lastly, he who speaks first after presenting the price usually loses. When you state your premium rate, the absolute best thing you can do is hold complete silence. Unwavering confidence, active listening, and supreme patients create a master closer. When you stop pitching and start diagnosing, the market hands you the cash. Bottom line, you have two ears and one mouth for a real.
