Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to the Level Up Podcast. I'm your host, Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to an eight-figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Remember, I have your six. Get ready to level up right now. Welcome back to the Level Up Podcast with Paul Alex, where we focus on leveling up your mindset, business, and life. Today, we're diving into a tough truth, guys. Why hard work alone won't make you successful. Working hard is important, but it's not enough to reach the levels of success you are aiming for right now. There's more to the equation.
Starting point is 00:00:43 When I was working 80 to 100 hour work weeks as a detective in the city of Oakland in California, I was grinding hard, putting in the time, and hustling nonstop. But guess what? I wasn't getting closer to financial freedom. The truth is, hard work by itself can only take you so far. But what really sets successful people apart
Starting point is 00:01:03 is how they leverage their work. You can't just work harder. You have to work smarter. The first reason hard work alone isn't enough is lack of direction. You can be working incredibly hard, but if you're not clear on where you're going and what your goals are, you're going to end up spinning your wheels. Successful people work with purpose. They're laser focused on the activities that will drive the biggest results. You got to get to know what your target is. Hard work without strategy is just wasted energy. Another reason why hard work falls short, no leverage. If you're trading time for money, there's only so much you can do. The real game changer is creating systems
Starting point is 00:01:46 and assets that generate income without having to put any more hours. That's what happened when I started with simple businesses that helped me leverage residual income. I was able to scale to two industries, ATMs and credit card process. I built systems that made me money even when I wasn't working. Leverage is the key to scaling beyond what hard work alone can achieve. Now, let's talk about networking and relationships. Working hard in isolation limits your potential. To truly succeed, you need to build connections
Starting point is 00:02:20 and collaborate with others who can help you grow. Mentorship was huge for me, guys. I sought out people who were ready where I wanted to be at, and their guidance only accelerated my success. And hard work could never have done it before. The right relationships will open doors that hard work can't. Mindset. If you're working hard, but still stuck in scarcity mindset, it's like running with weights on. You have to believe in your ability to succeed and be willing to take calculated risk. I had to shift from thinking like an employee to thinking like an entrepreneur. That's when my businesses really took off and when I believed in myself. Your mindset determines your ceiling.
Starting point is 00:03:07 If you don't believe you can reach the top, no amount of hard work will get you there. So if you want to be successful, it's not about grinding yourself into the ground, guys. It's about working smarter, creating leverage, building relationships, and developing the mindset to go after bigger opportunities. Success isn't just about effort anymore. It's about strategy, leverage, and belief. Guys, thanks for tuning in to Level Up Podcast. I'm Paul Alex. Keep leveling up one step at a time,
