The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast - After Party

Episode Date: September 23, 2026

On this episode of The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast, it's a Threeadore. Seth is out and the three chipmunks are causing mischief. Let’s not talk about how they’re three Alvins but whe...n they’re together it's a “Threeadore” because it doesn’t make sense and that’s cool. Today they are discussing “After Party” from Turtleneck & Chain, their 2011 album. But before that they’re playing enough Santigold music to get us a copyright strike. Let’s see if you can even listen to this episode! If you can, Santigold herself calls in with a fun story. Also, don’t call us. We have no t-shirts. There isn’t much else to say about this one because it’s just a lot of gold....enjoy!After Party | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MgNgr5YLyESaxman | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1akS_3DQoFoSantigold - "Fame" featuring Shy Ronnie | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyBoAV2OVCAFiesta Remix - R Kelly (Feat. Starting point is 00:00:01 A. L-O-N. Lowy Island Radio. With such a mile. Gia for one podcast, right from the face. Morning. I love these guys. Like how they swear are you. Just shot in my pants. Not joking.
Starting point is 00:00:21 So I just came from an escape room. My first time, I thought it was pretty bobo. It's a little bit like getting the vocabulary down of, like, say, like a mini crossword, though. Like any kind of crossword where you're like, oh, this means this. And like, there's a language to it. But I thought it really sucked. And it was also because the whole time I was like, I got to get to this podcast. I hit this exit button.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Have you done them, Keeve? Have you done an escape room? Yeah, they're a little like video games come to life as well. Like once you know the language of certain styles of puzzle video games. Yeah. Now it's like Link. It's like a Mario Odyssey or whatever where you're, you start knowing to like, wait, let me look at each detail.
Starting point is 00:01:00 You know, each doorknob has a different symbol on it. Like you kind of learn the language of them. So you are right in the crosswordiness of escape rooms. But my kids love them. Were you with other people that had done them before? Well, this was the other thing about it, was that I was with seven people, four of them being children, and two of them kind of freaking out because it was a scary one.
Starting point is 00:01:21 So, you know, I think we always make sure it's not too spooky, if a one. It was like a lot of screaming and being like, I don't like this. Yeah, well, you can't do that. But I guess my question was, were any of the adults, like, seasoned escape room people that could tell you if you were in a good one or a bad room? We had one girl. She was season, so she sort of knew that you had to, like, really poke around. Because I was kind of like, eh, can we just guess the numbers?
Starting point is 00:01:45 And did she say this is a lame escape room? Or did was she like, no, this is pretty much part for the course? I think it was probably an okay one. Yeah, okay. I had to sacrifice myself at the end. I end of like, dang. I know. That's drama.
Starting point is 00:01:57 That is a spooky one. Thank you. Is that a better volume? It is better. Yeah, you sound great. Do you want more, though? I would turn up my Andy, you know what I mean? Like Eminem would say.
Starting point is 00:02:05 If you're asking, do I want more? like the roots album, then the answer's always yes. Can I get an encore? We want more Andy. I need more Andy in my cans. Can I get an encore? Do you want more? Now we have to pay for that.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Bro, we're going to be doing after party today. So we're going to be dinked in the doink on the ads because Republic Records. Goat Swirl! Podcast time. Andy hates it. Woo! Woo! Oh, Andy hates it.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Uh-oh. Somebody loaded up the buttons, y'all. Great. It's 10.30 on a Sunday, guys. Welcome back. Yorm's world. Andy hates it. Yeah, Yorm's all jacked up from his escape room. Yeah, he's like, I just sacrifice myself. I'm the hero. All right, Andy, what did you get on the bee?
Starting point is 00:02:54 Oh, starting it right off. Jack Black. Spelling bee. Spelling bee. Might as well get it out of the way because it's way too early and it's a monster bee. I haven't finished yet. Oh. I like carrying this. I'm four away.
Starting point is 00:03:12 The wheels are off. It's just the three three adores, and we can do the bee right at the top. Are you going to do this while we do our pot? It's a 79 word B. But, you know what? Let's do this. No, don't do it the whole pod.
Starting point is 00:03:27 No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yesterday, clean. Well. Day before, clean. Day before, clean. Day before, clean. That's a Wednesday through Saturday suite. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:03:38 But what happened Tuesday? One hint. You lose her. Oh my God. Idiot. Keith. It's never good enough for you, dude. This guy, he's very bad at it.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Keith, you've been mogging me on the fucking minis, dude. Yeah, with the really bad scores that you just happen to get one second worse. Yeah. That was kind of crazy. We had a horrible one yesterday, which was two minutes and 50 seconds. You guys don't say that that's horrible. There's a lot of people. 54 and I got 53.
Starting point is 00:04:18 So bam, 250. But for that many seconds to have passed, and it's to be one second apart. Disastrous. Keith, you're one second smarter than Andy. That's awesome. I've always said that. If I'm sub 52, I'm like, yeah, that was an okay job.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Anything above 52 seconds is horrible. I'm moving on. Low 30 is the goal. But this was a whole other. Low 30 is the goal. Oh, and Andy, you got winter soltered pretty bad. And I can still see your black eye is still healing. What kind of things did you do when you got activated?
Starting point is 00:04:46 I mean, obviously, you don't. don't know, but did you check the news the next day for any mysterious... I got cuts and bruises all over from Abad, and I'm just like, who did I off, you know? So that was Friday, so we got to check the news Saturday morning and see if there's any suspicious news articles. Seems like anything that you read about the next morning was definitely me as a winter soldier. This was the clue. Comedian Samberg. Four letters.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Yeah, and I... It's pretty tricky. Maya forwarded it to me, My Rudolph. And I was like, did you put Sven? And she said, I did. Now, Andy, I texted you about this, but I just want to, I mean, we'd have to check back with the fine folks in New York Times games. The clue right above yours is Dad Bod. So if you read it together, it's Dad Bod, Andy.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Do we think this is coincidence? I mean, if they've seen me lately, I don't think so. Right. But I'm working on it. Now, I'm going to read the whole thing to you as a sentence. Okay. And you guys tell me, if you think that the whole, because if you recall, usually the actual, activation of a winter soldier or, you know, Charles Bronson is like an old poem or something,
Starting point is 00:05:53 like a Robert Frost poem or something. Airbnb, obviously, we do a lot of Airbnb ads on the podcast. Sure. Yeah. So Airbnb, Ice Age, Andy's favorite animated film. Dadbod, Andy, Idy, Ottawa, Fooler. You tell me. Apologies if I just activated Yorne by saying them all out loud.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Well, yeah, I didn't get any of those. So I'm not even done yet. But I did get Andy. And I put in Adam, it wasn't that. No. It was my sweet burn. Such a great joke. I always love that joke.
Starting point is 00:06:22 So thank you. Thank you. All right. I'm going to share something that somebody sent. Your name means little dick or something. No, it doesn't, Andy. All right. So this is from Jonathan.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Yeah, this is great. Okay. Quaid Army. I spent my lunch today doing a frequency analysis on the variance of the word Duky in episode 127, trouble on Duky Island. Oh, dear. What a great person.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Here is the raw data. with timestamps, which everyone on the pod loves. That's true. So it's broken into three columns. The first is the statistic. The second is which Theodore was involved. And the third is the timestamp. So, for instance, the first row here is first duke.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Theodore is Akiva. And the timestamp is 0.0721 seconds, I guess. Final duke is Howard Parker at one hour and four minutes. I love Final Duky. Yoram, how do you feel about Final Duky? Well, it's inevitable, you know I mean. Mm-hmm. Okay, sorry, keep continue.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Now, don't look at it for a second, Andy. Okay. How much would you guess was the longest time between Dukies? Three minutes? No, it was 10 minutes 51 seconds. Oh, okay. We're so mature. We must have really gotten off the topic for a while.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Well, I overcompensated because I was like, this is going to be crazy. Stop looking at it completely. I'm going to keep asking you. Okay, I'm not looking. Now, Yorm's already seen it. That's why I'm focusing it on Andy. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Also, I'm just more interesting. Nice one. Andy. Who do you think had the most ducies? Who said the word duckey the most? Yeah. The voiceover guy. Yeah, Howard Parker had 41 ducies. Okay, but after that is a tougher one.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Now, who had the fewest? Seth. Well, he wasn't on the episode, so I don't think he was included. But he's Dave anyways, and I told you the column is labeled Theodore. Fewest dukies. Between the three of us. God damn. Is it close? He didn't give me the statistics on it.
Starting point is 00:08:13 He just named the person. I wish we had the statistics of the exact. So, Jonathan, if you wouldn't mind for next week, we email over how many each one of us have? With more thorough, Jonathan. I'm going to say, just for fun, me, I was the fewest dookies. No, it was actually me. Akiva.
Starting point is 00:08:29 What? It was my first guest. I should have just trusted my instincts. Hardest, duke. Hardest? Like who said duke, the hardest. Yeah, it's obviously. Yorm.
Starting point is 00:08:36 It's in the song. Yeah, it was your ear. Yeah. Okay. And then how many dukies were said on the entire episode? And I'm assuming this includes the one way. Let's guess on. this one. I didn't look at this statistic.
Starting point is 00:08:47 I'm assuming this was in the song as well, the Dukies that played. So every time a Duky was mentioned on the episode. Now, Yoram, you can get in on this one. You didn't see this statistic. This is a little like when you're at the carnival or like the kids' fair. And they have a jar full of marbles and you have to guess how many marbles are in the jar.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Well, there's a gimme. There's a gimmee. There's a gimmee on this, which is Howard Parker said it 36 times. Three times 12. Hey, hey, hey, don't tell us. Well, that's a gimme. You come to your conclusion and then you can walk us to how you got there. Okay. Just tell me when you both have your number.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Okay. One, two, three. 72. I'm going to say 83. 127 Dukies. Fuck, that's some fire-ass podcasting, you know? It might be the Guinness record for the most Dukies said on a single episode of a podcast. What if they take our award for like best podcast hosts away based on that statistic?
Starting point is 00:09:40 Somebody reach out to the Guinness people and see if they'll just award it to us. It already happened. Well, I do want to say that I really appreciate Jonathan you going through that. Yeah, that's the kind of stuff I like, and we appreciate it. So thank you. Breakdown out, Dickey. Oh, this one was interesting.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Hans was at Burning Man, and he heard the sounds of our music permeating through the continual EDM. What? And it was Natalie's rap, but then he thought it was just going to be that song, but then to continue and continued, somebody was just playing, I guess, a bunch of our songs. So he took a little video that I'll share with you guys. I just watched the Burning Man docu series, so this is making me extra excited.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Did it make you want to go, Andy? Yes and no. Like, the people who are glamping are clearly like, everyone hates their guts, and it's not in the true spirit of what Burning Man was originated on. But that's what you do. But you're like, but that's what I'd want to do. I'm like, well, I wouldn't want to do it because I don't want to go someplace where everyone thinks I'm a piece of shit. Yeah. But I was also like, it looks like, and I have friends who have done it.
Starting point is 00:10:41 And they're like, yeah, it's awesome. but it is very like... Dusty. No, just it's a lot of work. Like, you're truly coming in, building your entire own camp, and then totally breaking it all down and clearing out and leaving Not a Trace
Starting point is 00:10:54 and that it's just a hard camp. Wow, that's amazing. Yeah. Yeah. And very creative, though, yeah? Like-minded souls. Yeah, artists. It honestly looks fantastic.
Starting point is 00:11:03 It's like being in Nola. Saxman. Sacksman. It sounds bass heavy. Yeah, it's rocking. Have we ever tried to find the original sax man before Jack got on it? Oh, that's a great one to try to find. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Let me see if I can find that right now. Hold on. There's one with Lenny Pickett on it, but he played too well. So then we nixed it for like a shitty-ass midi. Oh, yeah. It wasn't as funny because even his bad notes are still so solid. I know. You could tell he's talented.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Yeah. One thing I have found traversing the industry is when you're doing comedy, it's really hard to get professional people to do something intentionally bad. It's very true. Yeah, really hard. Fucking talent, man. Yorm, how does it feel to be such a cool guy? It's hard, I got to say.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Oh, that's disappointing. Well, no, people see me in and then they feel nervous. They don't want to, like, you know, come up to me because they're like, oh, my God, where'd you get that shirt? Like, you know, that perfect haircut. And what shirt are you wearing when they say that? It's not all surface-level stuff. Well, I went to the Mets game last night. I was wearing my Jermak shirt.
Starting point is 00:12:20 I had a couple quade sightings, but I could tell just like a majority of the people there were just like way too intimidated. Yeah. Because it was like most of the crowd wanted to say hi. Yeah, there was at least 18,000 people there because it was bubblehead day. So, you know, they came out and droves.
Starting point is 00:12:35 And so like out of those, I would say, at least a majority didn't say hello or a lot of eyes averted on the ground, you know, into their hot dogs. So it sucks because it's lonely, is what you're saying, to be such a cool guy. Well, it's just a weird feeling
Starting point is 00:12:51 to be out in public surrounded by people but also feel lonely. Damn. That shit is poetic. Sometimes you can feel like the loneliest boy in New York. Good thinking, Keeve.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Oh. So just for anyone listening, York didn't actually say that. That was one of his buttons. So you had a personalized... Nice one, Andy. A personalized button just for me. And now he's laughing so hard,
Starting point is 00:13:17 he can't talk. Because he timed it well. It's hard to time it right. Andy was, of course, looking down at the spelling bee. Well, you insulted me, so now I need to prove my... We don't have, Seth. You can't do it. Then why did you say I was bad at the bee?
Starting point is 00:13:33 You knew this was going to happen. It was playful ripping, Andy. I know you're very good at it. You're actually the best of anybody. Focus up. Now you're just bullshit to me, so I'll engage with the pod. Focus up. Listen to this. That's featuring Jack Blackbook.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Come on. Well, he was a sax man from the state of Tennessee. First sat in with the band at the ripe old age of three weeks old. And when he blew into that hole, other people gathered round. Club manager jumped right up and said, boy, I got to have that sound. Scream, hallelujah, Lord, this sax man's got my soul. Everybody got a went blow a sax man.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Pretty good. Okay, he's a little shy, but he's just a little shy, but he's just a little shy, but he's just, Genius cannot hide. Yeah, it's just like you did two takes and they're just in there. I like this version, too, though. Well, I was doing, I'm doing my best. This is how we want Jack to do it. Take a saxman.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Here's a girl, he'll be right with you, folks. We'll wish it would ran. You even match that really well. Jack, the room to Skibbibbibby-Bob. Oh, it's a load. Sax-man. Oh, shit. All right. Well, that was the demo of Sex-Man from 2000-something. Oh, you heard it here first, guys. What other podcast is going to give you that?
Starting point is 00:16:04 Andy, how'd you feel hearing that? Interesting, we didn't even bother aligning your two different vocal. If we wanted your voice doubled, why did we at least take the moment to align them? We didn't know what we were doing yet. Yeah. I mean, you're right. Also, we knew we were asking Jack. Like, the whole point of it was just to show him the template. It's so funny looking back now, him coming in and being like, I feel like, I can't do it. do it as good as that. Yeah, he was really nice about that. I was just like, oh, bro. Yours was significantly better on every level.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Yeah, yours is pretty funny, though. But there's, you know, there's a dumbness in there. Oh, yeah, that thought was great. How lovely. The Lowland is brought to by Mod. Mod prescribes a once or twice daily modafinil drink. They can keep you energized, focused, and alert throughout the day. And when you're a burrito-brained, you're going to want to grab a mod.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Here's the mechanism. Energy drinks with caffeine temporarily block. Adenosine, the chemical that makes you tired. It builds up, and when the caffeine wears off, it all crashes down on you at once. Modafinol works differently. It engages multiple pathways in your brain, dopamine, nerepinephrine, histamine, and orexin, to achieve steady energy and alertness for 10 to 12 hours. Soldiers, pilots, astronauts, winter soldiers, winter astronauts, they all use modafinol.
Starting point is 00:17:20 In high-stakes situations where full concentration and alertness, are paramount. It's now available at mod.com to qualifying patients. Visit mod.com. Starting point is 00:19:12 How many more words you got, Andy? I haven't gotten any new ones. Oh, I'm sorry. It's a hard one, but remember what I said about all the other days? Quibi, Quibi, Quibi, Quibi, Quibi, Quibi, Quibby, Quiby, Quiby. Yeah, that's killer. Quibi, quibby, quibby, quibby, quibby, quibby. It's cool, and it's a good use of my time, and I'm not going to wake up one day and be like,
Starting point is 00:19:33 My life! That's generous. New York Times. I'm going to be like, I wasted it all on quibby. I could have been with my friends and family. There are so many places and articles about, like, studios trying to make vertical videos for TikTok, essentially, but, like, little soap operas that play in two-minute bursts in vertical that, you. You can watch whole stories.
Starting point is 00:19:57 And that is what Quibi was. And it got relentlessly made fun of. And it's what happens when you're first. It was 2018, and it was too soon because TikTok. And Instagram, like, real culture didn't exist yet. And so they were trying to make their own place where they were highly producing it. And they were, and it stood for quick bites. Kevin reminds me, Quibi, quick bites.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Yeah. And it was just so far ahead that it was unnecessary. Behind. That it was behind. Yeah. Yeah. They just should have been called Verz. Yeah, Verts.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Then it would have been a hit. Sometimes it's just about the marketing, you know what I mean? The branding. Quibi, come on. Nobody says that. You know who's really good at Verts? Tony Hawk. Good thinking, Keeve.
Starting point is 00:20:38 I've actually heard that. I've never seen it with my own two eyes. Big shout out to Tony for our outro last week. Yeah, thanks, Tony. Did you hear it, you ever go back and listen? I didn't hear it. Was he good? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:48 He did a nice little later skater thingy for us. I love it. I love that guy. Yeah, he's going places. But then you know what he's doing? He's coming right back down and going up the other side. I like him for the right reasons unlike you guys. I was setting you have to play the sound bite.
Starting point is 00:21:04 I do it again. Oh, yeah, that Tony Hawk, he's going places. But then he's coming right back down and just going up the other side. Good thinking, Keeve. Thank you. This is a good episode so far for sure. Well, when I'm dropping gems like this, because I can see Andy's eyes have been nowhere but on his phone the whole time.
Starting point is 00:21:24 How many words have you got an eye? guess. No, we don't want to focus on that. That's not interesting. I agree. This motherfucker. All right, listen. Good thinking, Keith. Yom, you got to stop. That was his preset one. You should have got other people to do it, maybe. Well, no, I guess it's better than that's you.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Yom, you've set it up where you could be doing the spelling bee because you could still be present. You could just have one hand on your phone and the other one just hitting the little presets. Andy needs to focus because he hasn't bothered to make presets. This is classic. The problem with how we do our podcast is the reason it's funny is how much it's making him laugh. Yeah, every time it does it, he's just like crying with laughing. And then him just like hissing his pants laughing. I can't talk.
Starting point is 00:22:13 He's laughing so hard. He's out of breath. It's silent laughter because all the air is out of his lungs because it's made him that happy. This is exactly what it was like at 5 in the morning. We would be at S&L, and I would start laughing, and everybody would like, well, the sketch doesn't work, because he's laughing like that. It's tickling him too much. Because if Yoram laughs, that specific laugh, you know you're cooked, and it's like eating shit at the table. You're done.
Starting point is 00:22:41 It's because your main character is too shitty. That's basically you've got into that territory. Yeah, that's when I laughed the most when it's too shitty. But you know what? It worked out for Magruber. That is true. Nice joke. That didn't really work.
Starting point is 00:23:02 This one's going to suck. It might be the best one, but you need to focus up. Get it under control. Fine. Fine. Everyone likes stuff. Hey. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Hey, welcome back to the Lonely Island Seth Myers podcast. We've got a great episode for you today. Everything before this, we were just kidding. That's not, we're not that bad at doing podcast. This is the real start. We're professionals. The short today is after party featuring Sauti Gold. Here's a little taste.
Starting point is 00:23:39 I thought she was going to start singing. I mean, I timed it to the drum, to the drop, but not to go. I didn't remember that it went this many bars. New Sothy Gold. It's not new, actually. Can we clear this? The song is still fire. This is a banger, like those banger teradactyl wings.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Am I right, Andy? Yeah. This is disparate youth by Sonti Gold. Going out to all of our listeners, Quades, if you want to call in and request anything, you can do that right now at 747-727-0850 now. I mean, it's so good. I just want to keep it playing, but I'm going to cut it off here.
Starting point is 00:24:40 If you can name what year this came out right now, you will get a free t-shirt. No, that's not. All right. We can't do that. Yeah. That song is so good. Santi's the best.
Starting point is 00:24:50 The homie. And we had just met her, like, a couple months before we asked her to be on the song. And we were like, how can we waste her talent? So she was doing her second album. Her first album was L-E-S, Lower East Side, I'm assuming, Artishtes. It is. And that one came out in 2008. It's one where she's like puking gold glitter on the cover.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Like an artist. And we played the shit out of that album. We did. iconic. We were massive fans. Still are. And still are. So we were kind of geeking out when we were, again, we were mixing, we had made all the demos in L.A.,
Starting point is 00:25:24 but we were back in New York doing S&L. And then when there'd be an off week, we'd go to downtown records, which was a record label that we've talked about. But it was also a, there were maybe three recording studios. Yeah. And it was right off Broadway in Soho. That's where we shot Jack Sparrow. Yeah. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:25:40 You can see it in Jack Sparrow. And so we would be in there. And then we were like, who's in the other studio? because you could, they're just like, you know, rooms next to each other. And so it was like, oh, it's Sonti Gold doing stuff for her second album. And we were like, holy shit. Do you remember how long we stuttered for when we met her? We're like, oh, you and big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big fans.
Starting point is 00:26:02 We live in the West Village, so we think of ourselves as WV artists. And then we laugh for five minutes straight, yeah. As we slowly backed out of the room. And she was like, cool. Cool. And we were like, are these the names of all of the songs on your new album? And it was actually written on the wall. And we were all kind of excited to see it.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Oh, yeah, we were just looking. Oh, another jam. Just listen to it. So this was the one that was, I was just talking about LES Artis from her first record a year. This is LESRT's going out to all the quades. If you can name the year that it came out, you will get a free t-shirt. You just call in right now. 7477-27-0850.
Starting point is 00:26:47 We can't do that. We don't have that capability. Let's just get to the chorus of this one too, because this is a celebration. If we can play all that Ghost Face and Reykwong, we can play DeSanti. Yeah, dude. Who wants to monetize? Not me. Do it, sing along. What's weird at her concerts, if anyone sings along to the
Starting point is 00:27:21 she stops and goes, and goes, yeah. No! No. I'm the singer. Fuck you. I'm up here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:27 You're down there. You paid the money. I get the money. You sing that part. I shut it down. Isn't that crazy? Are you in Union 104? Because I am.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Exactly. She's huge into the unions and is like, that's a violation. I'm the singer. That's a violation. She points. Each person in the audience gets pointed at who is singing. And she goes, that's a violation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:48 That's a violation. That's a violation. So anyway, all the young heads do. the knowledge, Santee Gold, the chillest, except for that one thing. Except for when she yells at the audience. Yeah, for doing that want-w-w-w-w-w-w-th. Yeah, it's just that. They could sing the rest, which is so inconsistent.
Starting point is 00:28:05 And there's a lot of think pieces online if you look up. Is Sonti Gold's union-repping inconsistent? Yeah. Well, the chiller of person is, the more likely they are to snap. Do it. Fuck. No. That's for me.
Starting point is 00:28:27 You shut the fuck up. That's a violation. Union! It's a weird show. It's a weird show. Because she's got the two dancers behind her, and she's in that kind of three-person, like, formation. And the dancers, they've clearly been instructed that when she yells,
Starting point is 00:28:41 don't stop dancing. But they have to go into a holding pattern. And the holding pattern is just kind of awkward swing of the arms, and they just have to do it while she yells, and then it kicks back in. Well, they're in a different union, so it's different rules. Like, a singer can do this. If you're 104, you can do this. Dancers, hold every union.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Famously, at the first time she did a rant, they did stop dancing, and then the rant turned on them. And was like, you don't stop dancing just because I'm screaming. I pay you to dance. Right. And so it was like, you're a violation. You're a violation. And so it was like, the concert just stopped. And it was at Coachella mainstage. So it was like. It's just helpful to always have a union rep on hand so that you don't have to necessarily do that. You can actually have somebody go into the crowd. Well, the local 404 that had done the lighting all came down to get her back. I think somewhere, because I've mentioned this before, but I came out at one of her shows at Shai Rani.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Remember this? And she didn't do any of that stuff. I think maybe just because Shireani, then the dancing I was doing fell under parody law. Oh, that's probably, yeah. She was like, this is covered. It's pretty all-encompassing, yeah. She's like, I don't want to be on the wrong side of the law,
Starting point is 00:29:43 so I'm going to not do my normal thing. That's my theory, yeah. But also, probably nobody tried to sing along to Shai Rani. That's pretty much impossible. We weren't doing the song. I was just dancing. Right. The bit was that I wanted to be her new backup dancer.
Starting point is 00:29:55 How'd you dance? Well, you think video of that exist online? Oh, I don't know. It's worth a look. Shy Ronnie. Did you have to get jumped into the dancers, you know, Annie? Because they do like a pretty severe beat down thing to get in that. Yeah, they fucked me up.
Starting point is 00:30:08 But I relished it. You know what I mean? That's life experience. And he'll show that to me. And he's doing everybody. So you hear some of the craft. Somebody knew. She said, but be nice.
Starting point is 00:30:35 He's a little shy. So it went shy Ronnie. It's how fucking red hot we were, bro. Do you hear that how the crowd went screaming? You got to kid it out. It's amazing, too, because it's not like Shy Ronnie has anything to do with Santi. It was a Rihanna thing. So it's just that the crowd still was like, yeah, here he comes.
Starting point is 00:30:52 It's the right room. Oh, my God, this is great. Dude, they're so happy to see you. You do look shy. Her outfit's so good. You're moving your little hands. She's loving this. I assume you're trying to mimic these dancers.
Starting point is 00:31:31 Your hands are clearly very sweaty. You have to keep wiping them off on your pants. Yeah, you're really just two guys in it in the bag there. So for those that don't bother to look up this video, the chorus hits and Andy starts dancing big. He goes from shy to big dancing. getting kind of crook. People still say that, right? The dancer, it doesn't seem to like what you're doing. She's playing along as if she hates her.
Starting point is 00:32:12 And now you're shy again. Yeah. Should have got off the stage at that point, but it's impossible to do that in a live show, you know? Yeah, you're stuck. It's such a weird thing to try to incorporate comedy into like real cool guy shit. But that was good. That was a very good news. It's delightful. It's like when Will Ferrell comes in place cowbell behind the foo fighters or something. It's very similar to that.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Only this is way more popular. Why you've got to say stuff like that? It's not a competition, Keeve. It's about art and how it makes you feel in your soul, you know? Yeah, man. It's like, I got to be unstoppable. Good thinking, Keeve. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:51 So do we want to talk about after party? Fuck you, man. Yeah, should we listen to it? I don't think I've listened to it. Fuck you. Fuck you, man. He just wants to talk about after party. play more of her song.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Let's take it to the islands, shall we? Buck, book, buck. This is Run the Road, going out to all the quades in the house. You call right now, 747-727-08-50. You can get a t-shirt if you can name Santi's last name.
Starting point is 00:33:24 We don't have t-shirts and we have no way of contacting you and sending it. It's like she's baiting everybody by putting those catchy little things in. Hey, hey! Shut the fuck up! Those are mine! And at this point, it's like,
Starting point is 00:33:43 don't put them in the song anymore, Santi, if you don't want people to sing along to them because they're catchy and they're fun. Right. What are you going to do, though? I guess just not look at the B. You've been staring at it the whole episode, no matter how many times...
Starting point is 00:33:56 You keep playing songs, and granted, their songs I also love, but I'm not going to just sit here and not try to get it, you know? Can I admit something to you guys, which I feel really guilty about now? Since we're talking about unions and Santi and going to her shows and everything,
Starting point is 00:34:09 cave when we went I did notice that you actually sang along to some of them and I grieved you. So grieving is when you actually like will call your union and you will file the grievance. Make a grievance. It's an anonymous thing sort of thing
Starting point is 00:34:25 but I did grieve you and that's why you were, you got that whatever it was like $70. Ah. This dude's a snake. I'm so sorry. I just like it's been like 15 years of me trying to figure out who flipped on me. I'm so sorry. Wait.
Starting point is 00:34:39 For some reason, you're weakest on the Zoom. Like, the Zoom chooses to mute you the most. Oh. Like when Andy talks, I hear him every time. And when you talk half the time, the Zoom's like, nah. I don't need to hear this. And maybe I'm too loud. No, you probably have a bad filter thing on your audio that fucks your stuff.
Starting point is 00:34:55 Yeah, or the Zoom is using AI to be like, not important. Oh, right. You'll hear it later. I sure will. And I can't wait for that to happen. To that, you know, it's time and Chris. And after that, I say, excuse me, miss. After that, we're going back to the room.
Starting point is 00:35:16 And after that, she's going to be. real soon. And after that, I crack one more beer. And after that, I just stay over in the mirror. And after that, I stop freaking out. What the hell am I doing with my life? Eye on. I order room service.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Get those hands and scream at the sky. Fall to my knees and ass got swapped. What was the writing practice? I mean, I remember us all being in the room for this one. Yeah, Andy, let's talk about it. This was another classic. I wrote it down an idea. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:36:07 And I actually found our old song ideas document. So the original one is way more. like a bossy. I'm just going to zip through it. After the party, it's the after party. After the party, it's the hotel lobby. After that, it's the hotel room. After that, it's the next morning when I check out. After that is the drive back to my apartment. After that, it's time for work. Back in my cubicle, it's time for filing. And after that, it's the weekly board meeting. After that, it's time for cold calls. And after that, it's time for lunch. And after that, it's more cold calls. And after that, it's time for a snack. And after that, it's time to call my branch manager. And after that, it's
Starting point is 00:36:44 time to head home. And after I leave, it's time for traffic. And after that, it's time for the gym. And after that, it's time for a shower. And after that, it's time to pick up my kids. And after that, time to change some diapers. And after that, time to argue with my wife. And after that, time to watch the news. And after that, time to put in my mouth guard. Next week, we're going to do it again. I got to say, I might like this better. I know. But I think we nixed it because it just felt too like Abasi is my guess. Now, this is loosely, I mean, it's fully inspired by,
Starting point is 00:37:15 but loosely inspired by Fiesta, the JZ part of the R. Kelly remix to Fiesta, correct? I'm not sure if he's the first one to ever put these lines in a row. No, this is a little bit of a trope. Well, it is a trope, and that's why I was actually trying to remember if he was
Starting point is 00:37:32 quoting something else when he was saying it. This is where we need Lanner or Questlove to tell us who was the first person. Yeah, to remind us. I think we would have known at the time, but then it definitely has eclipsed it. Who was first to say? This is gonna go way back.
Starting point is 00:37:47 This is gonna be fucking Sugar Hill Gang. Is it? After the show is the after party there. After the party, it's the hotel lobby. After the belvid and it's probably Chris. And after the original was probably there. Yes, Mom. That's up.
Starting point is 00:38:02 I feel like the after the show is the after party was old, but then him adding stuff was what was new. And that's where the joke comes from, because he was adding more and more. It became a real what-if. You know, after the belvie, then it's probably Chris. Now, do you guys agree with that? If you start with drinking Belvedere vodka,
Starting point is 00:38:18 do you switch over to drinking champagne after that? I think that's dealer's choice. I feel like it's an interesting order. That's a flaw, I think. Well, that's why he added the word, probably. Oh. He didn't say after the belvi, it's definitely Chris. Probably.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Yeah, he said, it's probably Chris. But it's open to interpretation. Yeah. Yeah. And by the way, He said after the original, it's probably this. He's not even, he's really hedging a lot here. If someone's like, no, the original is better in the remix on Fiesta, he'd go,
Starting point is 00:38:48 that's fine. I just said it was probably better. Well, he always had that cool thing about him where he was just like, it's no biggie, you know, I'm the greatest, if you think so. Is it possible that he's talking about a friend named Chris? Like, I know a lot of people were referring to Cristal at the time, but could it be that he's talking about a friend of his just walked into the room? Right.
Starting point is 00:39:07 So after the Belvedere vodka, then it's, Chris, his friend. Maybe he actually was saying that Belvedere's coming into the room first being held by Chris. So Chris is after the... Right, but what he knows for sure is that after the show, it's the after party. Then after the party, it's the hotel lobby. There's no doubt in any of that. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Then... The party, after the party, it's the hotel lobby. After the Belvedin, it's probably Chris. Some room for fudging, if you want it. It might not be that order. And after the original was probably there. Hmm. It's a good song. I always say that about my friend Jake Samanski, who's from Milwaukee, that he's the homie from the Midwesta.
Starting point is 00:39:53 Yeah. So, obviously, ripped from the headlines of our lives, because we would do the show, S&L, and then go to the after party, McCormick and Schemack. And... McCormick. Fuck. Super exclusive. Hard to get in. I mean, don't try to get into.
Starting point is 00:40:09 to a McCormick and Schmitz on your own guys. It's really... It's a waste of time. It's a pretty exclusive nightclub. But hotel lobby? That's where they lost us. We'd go home. Actually, our first few years, we go to the after-after.
Starting point is 00:40:26 Yeah, we would always go. I mean, for a while. So after the after-party, there's the after-after-party. It just doesn't... It's not as musical to say. And then we'd be like, and after the after-the-after, then the sun is coming up, and it hurts your head, and you wish you had gone to bed earlier.
Starting point is 00:40:39 And it's like, I really might have liked the other version more of just the, I mean, you know I would. I was just like a pure frustration joke of the most wildly mundane shit for like, you know, two and a half minutes. So after party, we do that, then we have a demo, then we're at downtown, then we meet Santi, then we're like, hmm, um, we do everyone to be on a song? And then she was down and recorded. She was like, bet. Yeah. She was like, nothing to it but to do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:08 By the way, everyone's like, no, new slang, bet. I'm like, what? Yeah, that's from when we were kids. It's the oldest ever. I lecture my kids about that all the time. They love it when you do that. Yeah. All right, bet.
Starting point is 00:41:20 You could jam home boy, no sweat. This is what I want you to do. Feel the groove. Let's move. Here they come to save the day, remember? Oh my God, yeah. It's in our song in Credibad, I believe, and that was us using old slang.
Starting point is 00:41:34 Exactly. We were being retro. Yeah. We all are, Bet. Exactly. I'm gonna keep playing this. The chorus is very poetic in a way that I can't tell if I like or hate. Can't hear you when you talk to him. You'll hear it on the pod.
Starting point is 00:42:17 Great. Everyone can talk about what a genius you are for things we couldn't hear. I actually do want to address that, though. They think we're not acknowledging what you're saying on the pod sometimes in the comments, but we truly, your Zoom mutes. Well, what I said was is that the chorus is very poetic in a way that is not super funny. I can't tell if it's like hurting some of the humor or like, I don't know. Well, we're going to get to that because I have a similar feeling.
Starting point is 00:42:43 I know my life, join AA to make you right. And after that, I get my 30-day chip. And after that, I go sell a bit. And after that, I'm a whole new man. Blue-com, with you in my hybrid van. I give my life to meditation. Then sleep with a horror at a Greyhound station. After that, I have a full relapse and lose my hand in a game of grass.
Starting point is 00:43:02 And after that, everyone calls me claw. And after that, I work for Tim McGraw. And after that I pass out in the suit. need a giant fish Fuck his brains out Oh God Call back No one fuck myself to blame
Starting point is 00:43:13 Nothing in my heart The pain Next week we're gonna do it again All right I I think that's Too good But she sounds so good on it
Starting point is 00:43:58 That shit's really tight Stanti's on a short list of people who did our songs No disrespect to anyone Everyone we did it with sounded incredible but Santi, Julian, a few others were just like, fuck, it's so cool that it's almost like too cool.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Yes. Because they sound so beautiful and it has such mood and energy to it. But in a way, I personally don't care because I'm like, but we still made that song that sounds like that and that makes me feel proud in a different way. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Agreed. It's just, it says I am deep down just like 2% slightly. I don't want to say embarrassed. That's not the right word. But I'm just like a little, am I like the slightest bit uncomfortable because we made a cool choice?
Starting point is 00:44:41 You know what I mean? But it's not her fault for being good. I just mean like, as soon as we start writing her jokes, like I'm back to jerking off. Then it's 30 times funnier that someone that sounds that good is doing it. The problem is that the first verses were being kind of serious to offset how goofy your lyrics were as like a yin-year lyrics.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Yang to it, but it feels like we should have actually tried to make her first chorus a little funnier. It's possible, but... Maybe it's that. The only thing I would say, Orm, to what you're saying, is there's a part of me when I'm listening to it that wishes it was just a regular song. Yes, it could be that, honestly. It's always that thing of, like, when you hear a good beat and an actual talented artist on
Starting point is 00:45:26 something, it's just hard for me not to be like, oh, we ruined it. Not we ruined it. You just want Andy to get off it and to be normal. Yeah. A little bit. A little bit. But by the way, this makes it seem like we're really down on it. I'm not down on it all because I do think it sounds cool and it's funny enough. And it's also funnier than I remember it being. And there's more for her in it than I remember there being.
Starting point is 00:45:47 And that ending is really funny on her recapping the whole song. Yes. And it sounds great. Yeah, and all those different layers and harmonies at the end are dope. It's also crazy how fast the BPM is and it still sounds good. Like, it is very, very fast. I have two things to bring up, which if this first one has already been mentioned, then apologies, but when I did Land of the Lost as Chaka, a Razzie nomination, didn't win. We were approached by Brad Silverling to do the end credit song of Landl the Lost,
Starting point is 00:46:21 and we had sort of talked about doing a song in the style of like that we hadn't watched the movie clearly, and we were trying to recap it and be like, I think there was a dinosaur. And so there's a little bit of that in this. And that's what happened in this song. That's a very funny end-credit one of a person who didn't see the movie. Yeah, in the style of like Will Smith, Wild West style. We should do one of those for a movie and where they're getting more like agitated as they're singing the song because they're being like, they wouldn't let me watch a rough cut. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:56 It was under lock and key. Just to know what the fuck I'm talking about. And being like, just because. Because this one time, yeah, I had the rough cut and I lost my laptop and it got out. And now they don't trust me to, but what? You still want me to make the song? Make it make sense to me. All right.
Starting point is 00:47:14 I think it's time for our voice note. Here we go. Okay, so I'm trying to remember the circumstances of making the song after party with you guys. And what I remember is meeting you at Downtown Records, which was on Broadway. True. You stopped it for that? You stopped it to say that? That was not on purpose.
Starting point is 00:47:38 Good thinking, Keith. Sonti, like, just started. And we were in the studio working on, I think, my second album. Correct. And you guys were working in the studio next door, like in the same building next door. True. And I guess somehow we met, and I was already a fan from all the Saturday Night Live stuff, because I like any funny stuff.
Starting point is 00:48:02 Any funny stuff. And eventually you asked me to do a song. And so I did it. And it was very funny. And it was fun being in the studio watching you guys because you're so silly. And I didn't have to do much. I mean, it's pretty easy. You guys wrote it and I just got to sing it like it was serious and it was really fun.
Starting point is 00:48:16 And I liked it. But the most fun thing was just meeting you guys and the relationship that ensued. Because I remember from then on that was the beginning of a blossoming friendship. True. And I remember what we would do. shortly after is we would have 3D viewing parties where we would all gather and put on those goggles that you had to wear back then to view things in 3D
Starting point is 00:48:39 and we would watch 3D movies with candy. But also, I recently played the song after party for my 12-year-old son and his friends. I was driving them back from something like, I think we went to an NBA, like a basketball game. And so I had them and they kept like making music requests and having me play all these songs like Don Tolliver and all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:49:00 And I was like, I got one. I got one that you guys are going to love. And I played after party with no explanation. And they were like, what is this? What is this? Is this serious? What is this? And then I came in there like, is that you?
Starting point is 00:49:16 And they were so confused. And then it got to the part where you're like, after that, I started jerking off. And after that kept jerking off or whatever. And they're like, Mom. He was like, this is. What did he say? Oh, my God. Anyway, I forgot about that part before I played it for him.
Starting point is 00:49:35 I was very entertained by the reaction. And I love the song still. Listening to it, it makes me laugh every time. Oh, my God. Thank you so much, Sonti. Sweet. Fucking delightful. What a great voice now.
Starting point is 00:49:49 Yeah. We got to get bust out one of those old 3D TVs again and do another one of those 3D screenings. Yeah, this was at my apartment when I, me and Lizzie moved to a slightly bigger place because she was pregnant, but we hadn't had the baby yet. So I had bought a new TV and it was 3D.
Starting point is 00:50:06 And this is the one that we had watched the Owls of Gahool-Long. But that was not with her. That was our first, let's drink alcohol of some sort and watch a 3D movie and have a movie night. Probably Chris. So just to place this in the moment, 3D TVs was like a thing
Starting point is 00:50:22 where they were like, this is going to change everything. And we went to some event and I believe got given 3D TVs for showing up, and that's why we went. It was like, come take pictures in the lounge. And we were like, and you'll give us a TV? Fuck yeah. So we went.
Starting point is 00:50:39 And then you had one, and I had one. I remember me and John Solomon and Rob Klein would also hang at my house, and you would come to sometimes, Keith. You know, I don't know where you were. Oh, it was being too cool to hang out. Probably being too cool, yeah. And we would get, like, you know, food delivered and just on a Sunday watch, you know, the remake of Conan or whatever.
Starting point is 00:50:58 There wasn't that many movies in 3D Blu-ray that you could actually even watch. Correct. So we would watch anything that came out in 3D Blu-ray. Yes. Go-hoo it up. And the one she came over, I wish she had mentioned what her friend's name is, because I saw her again the other day, her friend with her. But her friend came over and we watched the Jim Carrey, Robert Zemeckis, a Christmas Carol. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Like the Beowulf style. Yeah. Uncanny Valley. anyways, we got that Blu-ray and that's the one that she's remembering us sitting around watching and eating like movie candy and all of us wearing those stupid glasses and watching. It was very fun.
Starting point is 00:51:39 It was so fun. Simpler times. What do you guys think? Criterion? After party? Maybe it's Kim's video. Yeah, I would say maybe. It's definitely not criterion.
Starting point is 00:51:50 I always wanted to do a video for it and then I think we like ran out of runway or something, right? or was it just that we decided it was too much like like a boss? I mean, we can talk about that there's a reference to like a boss in it. Yeah, and I like that. Because we knew that it was the same structure. We wanted to let everyone know we knew that it was a similar structure. We did occasionally have discussions about money and where to place money,
Starting point is 00:52:15 because it would be an expensive video to do it properly, I think. It's a lot of setups. It's a lot of setups. So I just brought up a picture, I guess for those looking at YouTube, otherwise they can put it on Instagram or something. So Girl is a skateboard company, girl's skateboards, and Mike Carroll is a very famous pro skater. Indeed.
Starting point is 00:52:33 When we would go to Embarcadero, early days when Embarcadero was, you know, making its way into like Tony Hawk Pro Skater and shit like that. Mike Carroll and girl and all these dudes were the shit like at the time and are still, still are. So we were pretty pumped when this happened. And so I asked Barnett to let us know how this happened because there is a skateboard day. deck that is a Mike Carroll deck that is The Lonely Island.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Hold on. Do we still have those decks somewhere? I just took this picture this morning. I have this. The Lonely Island and Mike Carroll present after party. And it is like comic book style drawings of Mike Carroll, but he looks like Andy in the blue turtleneck and chain from the album cover. And it's kind of depicting various moments in the song.
Starting point is 00:53:19 It's pretty fun. He has his 30-day chip down here. There's pills everywhere. Oh, no. He's up on a mountain and he's naked, but he's covered in a snake that he's cut in half. So he's covered in snake blood. Yeah. Well, he's drinking it.
Starting point is 00:53:33 Right. And then what are you eating right there? Is that a piece of pie? Yeah. Right. Because you have pie. You've got champagne. There's your crystal.
Starting point is 00:53:40 Yeah, yeah. You've got a lady. This was the moment that I was like really excited that we were going to become friends with Mike. But I don't think we ever even met, really. No, we never followed up on our friendship. I asked Steve Barnett, our music manager. I said, how did this come up? cross again and he went and looked up his emails so he could tell me this is me quoting his text back
Starting point is 00:53:59 oh awesome you guys wanted to do something with girl skateboards which makes sense of course we did but somebody must have asked us because we went out of everything in the world have even been so bold as to ask for that all right we pitched them on a boombox deck but they weren't feeling it finally had the idea to do something based on after party like i think this came to us because there's no way we would have just pulled that out of thin air we like skateboard stuff and i think he came to us being like Like, do you guys want to do something with girl skateboards? They're looking to do decks based on music. And then we had said, how about Boombox?
Starting point is 00:54:29 And they came back to us saying After Party, as they felt the imagery in the song lent itself to the format. The skater, Mike Carroll, was a fan of yours and wanted to do a collab with you for one of his pro boards. Girl worked with the illustrator, Sean Cliver, who was based in Costa Rica to bring it to life. I just went through a bunch of old emails to recall this. Cool.
Starting point is 00:54:49 That's his email. That's amazing. But anyways. All right, yeah. So there's that picture. It's one of the coolest things that every came out of our success with his stuff, I would say. So do you have Mike Carroll's info now?
Starting point is 00:54:58 No, we've never met him or anything. Let's get him to say later, skater. So I also found an email just on the after-party tip. We can decide if we find it interesting. I found the email when I sent Santi the demo. I wrote, here's the triggety track. Let us know what you thiggety think. Keep in mind that I'm a really, really good singer when you listen to it.
Starting point is 00:55:22 Well, let's hear your singing, though. Do you want to take a little taste of that? I don't know. It's up to Yorm. I love that fucking... Good thinking, Keeve. I love that... You suck. You played it in the middle of your own pretend sentence?
Starting point is 00:55:41 Yeah, and I wasn't even saying anything. You are the... Nice one, Andy. No, I love that you're the singer of our group. Let's hear it. Let's hear it. Skip. What does this have any alternate lyrics though? Do we know?
Starting point is 00:55:58 So far now, it feels pretty finished. And after that, I say, excuse me, miss. And after that we're going back to the room. And after that, she's going to leave real soon. And after that, I just stare at the mirror. And after that, I just start freaking out. What the hell am I doing with my life? Call up my mom and get my cry on.
Starting point is 00:56:15 I want a room service get my apple pie on. And after that, I just walk the streets, I'm on the room service phone on the skateboard. And I see just how pointless life is. is full on existential crisis tear off my clothes and scream at the sky fall to my knees
Starting point is 00:56:28 and ask God why this night life is killing me I think I'm losing my mouth It's almost identical You're doing like a British emo What is the reference there
Starting point is 00:56:52 Of who you're sort of doing Who is this guy It's more 80s than Yeah it's emo yeah No yeah Order but bad I don't think so But you know what I'll say, though?
Starting point is 00:57:04 The melody's there. Yeah, a couple notes got changed. And then when she does it, it's good. This night, life is killed. They ain't me. No more jerking. More crystal. And after that, I clean up my life.
Starting point is 00:57:28 And after that, I get my 30-day chip. What was the final lyric, rather? Something else. I mean, I know why we changed it. It was kind of boring. Nothing in my heart of pain. Next week, we're going to do it again. This night, life's got its hooks in.
Starting point is 00:57:43 Me, back to jerking a crystal. Real Space Olympics. I just can't win. And after that, it all happens again. Okay, so we added more cool santi stuff after there. Didn't need. It's definitely goofier.
Starting point is 00:58:23 This was before we knew how to use Autotune. It sounds good, Annie. We also knew things were getting replaced, so we were less particular. We didn't spend a lot of time on it. Thank you for protecting me and my feelings, Keeve. Hey, it's cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:36 Did we debate calling it Crystal in Tears? Yes. Right? Yes, the original title was that, and we were like, just call it the thing that everyone is going to call it. Just fucking call it, what they're going to call it. I mean, Christoan Tears on a skateboard might be funny. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Yeah. Yeah. Well, anyway, it was a fun one. And the best part about it by far was that we became friends with Santi. She's the coolest. But still a good and fun one. All right. Well, guys, it's been a really great episode.
Starting point is 00:59:04 I'm really glad we got to share it together. I love you guys. I love you, Andy, Sam. I love you, Yorma Tukami. Love you, Keith. Big shout out to Santi Gold. Yeah, thanks, Santi. Love you guys.
Starting point is 00:59:15 It's interesting that her last name's white, another color, Santi White, and yet she's Santi Gold. If you answered Santi White, that was the correct answer, and you get the... Keep Yorm, can I give you an update on my spelling me? I'm two away now. Whoa, you did 77? I'm at 77 out of 79. If I get Quibi, I'll send a voice note.
Starting point is 00:59:35 Okay. And put it right here. One hint. But the day after that, also one hint. So, yeah. But the next day, also one hint. So crushing it. Woo!
Starting point is 00:59:53 That was our episode, guys. Thank you so much. We will see you next week with a brand new pod. We love you guys. All right. Love you guys. Love you, kids. Good hanging.
Starting point is 01:00:03 Later, Arnold. Later, Quades. Later, Howard Parker. Later, Quaid. Later, anyone who's ever been on the pod. Later quads. Later quads. Oh, now you remember me.
Starting point is 01:00:15 Want me to say later quades? Stop up for the other children. Later quads.
