When the demand for racism far exceeds the supply, the inevitable result, is that you get race hoaxes. And there are now so many race hoaxes in this country that we have entire genres of race hoaxes to catalog. There's the Jesse Smollett-style hoax where you

fake a racist attack. There's the graffiti-style race hoax where you spray-paid something racist on a wall or a car or something like that. Of course, there's the restaurant receipt-style race-hoax where somebody leaves a racist message on a receipt. One of the more prominent racist receipt hoaxes is the one that happened at the saltgrass steakhouse a few years back when a customer supposedly wrote the words, we don't tip terrorists on his receipt because the waiter looked like he was from the Middle East or something. And the waiter put out a social media post

saying that the receipt is a proof that a racism is alive and well. This is racism and this hatred still exists, he posted on Instagram. The restaurant immediately announced it was banning the customer for life because the waiter obviously wouldn't lie about something like that, only for the waiter to eventually admit what every sane person already knew, which is that he fabricated the whole thing. These race hoaxes are so predictable that you'd be forgiven for believing that innovation is truly dead in the race hoax industry.

Race hoaxes have become, it seems a lot like iPhones. There's no real variation from year to year. You just keep getting the same thing over and over and over again. And that's true for the most part. But there was one very notable recent exception to this general rule. And it comes to us from Charles County, Maryland. For the first time in recorded history, we have a twist on the restaurant. receipt race hoax. The spin is that in this case, the receipt isn't actually being faked

by anyone. It's a 100% accurate receipt, according to all parties involved. So in that sense, this is something of an upgrade over the typical genre standbys that we're all used to. Unfortunately, in every other respect, this is still one of the dumbest race hoaxes to ever occur in this country. It's so extraordinarily low IQ and insulting to the intelligence of everybody involved, that it defies comprehension as to why a single news station anywhere would cover this complete non-story, except maybe to laugh at it. But some news outlets, both national and local, did cover the story and covered it with a straight face. Here's one of those stations. A Charles County man is outraged after he placed a drive-thru order at Chick-fil-A, and he says

a worker printed a racist name on the label. Our Amy Cho has. that story you will only see here on news four. When Marquis Van Zago got his food from the Laplata Chick-fil-A drive-through last Friday, he was shocked to see this printed on the label. The word monkeys instead of his name. It was devastating because it just set me back years. You know, as a black male, we've gone through a lot. And it just kind of, it's a constant reminder.

Just when you think you're healing from a situation, someone opens that wound back up. Van Zago says he went inside to complain, and a manager and the store owner later apologized to him. Van Zaco says the owner told him he wouldn't fire the employee involved because the employee was a minor and said he misheard the name. Van Zago says he placed the order face to face, not through a microphone because the worker was standing outside in the drive-through line. I think that they could have been handled a lot differently. I definitely think that the employee should have been terminated on the spot. It's unfortunate that he might end up losing his job, but that happens. He needs to learn from this.

Van Zago says he's hired an attorney, and he's considering filing a federal lawsuit against Chick-fil-A for discrimination. I won't be going back to that Chick-fil-A any longer. Racism is still alive. Racism is still alive, he says, pretending to be upset. He's been set back years by this. He saw writing on a receipt. He saw the word monkeys on a receipt. and he can barely, he's sleep at night.

He can barely, he's incapacitated. He's lying on the ground in his house in the fetal position, unable to cope with having seen the word monkeys. And that's, by the way, this is similar to what the saltgrass waiter said a couple of years ago, too. Of course, the irony is that if racism were still alive, as they say, they wouldn't need to make it up. We're supposed to think that these hoaxers are really angry that racism is still alive. But of course, the opposite is true. They want racism to exist so badly that they're willing to invent it.

You know, that guy got that receipt. And again, by all accounts, it seems like that really was printed on the receipt. But he got that and he read it. And we all know he was so excited when he read that. It was the greatest day of his life when some kid accidentally misheard him and put monkeys on the receipt. Greatest thing that's ever happened to this guy. He is so excited. He just had the dollar signs in his eyes and everything.

So the hope is that the race hoax will follow the familiar pattern. That's always the hoaxers hope. First, the social media outrage, followed by the termination of the allegedly offending party, followed by a big payout, followed by them taking their place alongside the great civil rights heroes of our time, men like George Floyd and Michael Brown. And they're not quite sure how to react when that pattern doesn't play out. Notice in the video that the man assumes that the teenage employee will be fired, even though Chick-fil-A has already said that he won't be.

He says, well, it's sad he might have to lose his job, but he needs to learn a lesson. It's as if he can't process the fact that he's being told that, no, the Chick-fil-A employee didn't actually suffer any kind of consequence, nor should he. Nevertheless, the man says he's thinking about filing a federal lawsuit against Chick-fil-A because that receipt was just devastating, devastating. He's never going back to that chick-fil-a ever again because apparently the equivalent of the KKK has taken over that chick-fil-A. Whenever they see a black customer, they just write monkey on the receipt.

You know, because that's how racist they are at this particular chick-fil-a. That's the narrative that the media is reporting without any pushback whatsoever, even though it's extremely obvious that this was a misunderstanding on the part of the employee. The guy's name is Marquise, which does sound very close to monkeys, marquise, monkeys. I mean, it sounds similar. Now, if his name was like Bob or Larry or something, and someone says they misheard it as monkeys,

you know, then he'd have a little bit more of a case. Then you could maybe convince someone that this was a malicious attempt to communicate some racist message to this customer for some reason. Maybe you could convince someone of this employee was just willing to like sacrifice his livelihood for the sake of putting a racist message on a receipt.

When in reality, by the way, I feel bad for this kid. Of course, he's the only one to feel bad for. Put yourself in his shoes. He's working the drive-through. Guy comes up places his order. The kid asks, what name can I put on it? And the guy said something that, like, and he hears it as monkeys. But what's he going to do now?

Because he doesn't, he's probably thinking to himself, well, I can't, I can't, I can't ask, I can't say, monkeys, was that the name? He can't say that. So now he's like probably frantically going through his mind thinking like, what's a name that sounds similar to monkeys that I could just put on here? And he can't think of anything. So he just puts it on there. So this guy either said Marquise or maybe he might have even, for all we know, this guy actually said monkeys in the drive-thru lane. And this is all just some big setup. Who knows? But whatever, the employee thought that he heard monkeys. That's what we know. for sure. And we can be pretty sure of all that because the alternative makes no sense whatsoever.

This Chick-Fleigh is in Maryland. This drive-through employee probably serves dozens of black customers a day. Does he call all of them racial slurs? Or did you just randomly select this guy for no particular reason? Did he wake up and decide, you know what? Today's the day. Today's the day I'm going to go ahead and make this. The rest of my life will be about this moment. I'm going to call a guy, a black guy, a monkey. And I'm going to put it in writing. Is there a single person who actually believes that that's a plausible scenario? And yet the media uncritically reports on the customer's trauma. Then he makes his pitch for a lawsuit, which is really a shakedown. He's essentially telling Chick-fil-A to pay up or he's going to

smear them as much as possible. If you watch the video, this guy recorded in the Chick-fil-A, which I won't play because it's painful to listen to, but he immediately demands that the employee loses his job. And then he promises to make the clip go viral. So he went directly into making threats as soon as he saw an opportunity. He had the lawyer on the phone as soon as he possibly could. So this is inexcusable behavior on the part of the customer, obviously, but it's also predictable. This is the kind of response that a lot of people will have when everyone in the media is telling them at every opportunity that they're a victim because of their skin color. It's what happens when some people are bombarded with lies about how oppressed they are.

And that's happening constantly, right out in the open. The other day, for example, the actor and singer Tyrese had a conversation with the race-hustling ambulance chaser Ben Crump. And Tyrese made a claim that's clearly false and also clearly designed to stoke as much racial animosity and resentment as possible. And of course, Ben Crump, the alleged lawyer, just sits and agrees with it. But this is really an extraordinary claim. I want you to listen to this. Senator Biden and Kamala Harris signed an Asian hate crime bill, which makes it beyond illegal to ever purposely and maliciously do anything to anybody in the Asian community. And there was a spike in crimes and criminal behavior in and around COVID, allegedly and specifically.

motivated by Trump. And so everybody started treating Asians, beating them, killing them, shooting them, stab them, hurting them. And then he gets into the White House. Skips over every black and brown Mexican and Latino that have been getting killed like flies, and he makes it a law.

Asian hate crime bill is signed into law. So rather you're a police officer or a regular civilian, if you wake up on a Wednesday and say, he's Asian, a woman or a man, let's go do something bad to them, which, God forbid, whatever happened again, but it is a crime bill that was signed into law that protects Asians at all costs. Where is that same law to be signed into law when it comes to black and brown people? because what you're doing is President Biden and Kamala Harris, what you're doing is you're saying that black and brown people will continue to be disposable. So Tyrese claims bizarrely that there are no hate crime laws protecting black and brown people.

Never mind that every hate crime law protects those groups and most of them were written specifically to protect those groups. Just last week, Kamala was once again promoting the anti-lynching act of the Biden administration signed into law. a couple of years ago. That was yet another hate crime bill written specifically to protect black people from a form of violence that, by the way, none of them have suffered in at least 40 years. Also, as I covered last week, lynching is already illegal about three times over, so they made it illegal a fourth time. As to the specific legislation that Tyrese is talking about, he's wrong about that too. There was no bill that only punishes anti-Asian hate crimes. The COVID-19 hate crimes act, which is apparently what he's referring to, applied to all forms of hate crime.

It just made it easier to report and catalog these incidents. And a lot of people pointed this out online, so it's not a particularly convincing lie either. And as I've discussed before, this is all a moot point anyway because hate crimes shouldn't be an actual category of crime. For one thing, a lot of crimes committed against other people typically involve some form of hatred, so we don't need a special category for certain kinds of hatred. And for another thing, hate crimes aren't prosecuted or reported with any kind of consistency. Those are legitimate complaints you can make about hate crime legislation, but the idea that they don't protect black and brown people is just complete nonsense.

In the Amad Arbery case, after the state secured the murder convictions, the feds went back and prosecuted those defendants for hate crimes because of racist text message they had sent before the murder about someone other than Amad Arbor. It was an entirely separate prosecution. They got guilty pleas and then additional life sentences because of it. But apparently those hate crime laws don't exist, according to Tyrese and Ben Crump. This is the same kind of race hustling that Barack Obama specialized in, but these people aren't anywhere near as good at it. Obama could look the camera in the eye and wag his finger and say whatever he wanted.

He could convince a lot of people that hate crime laws only protect white people if he wanted. to, but Tyrese and Ben Crump aren't so gifted. They're not anywhere near as coherent, so they're pandering is just too obvious. In fact, right now, there aren't many prominent members of the Democrat Party who are capable of pulling off the Obama-style hustle. Kamala Harris certainly isn't capable of it. Even in scripted moments, pretty much the only kinds of moments that are handlers will allow her to have, even in those moments she can't do it. So take a look at these two clips from Kamala Harris events. This is just yesterday. One is in Detroit, and the other is in Pennsylvania.

And they're just a few hours apart. So see if you could notice any differences. You better thank a union member. For sick leave. You better thank a union member for paid leave. For vacation time. You better thank a union member. You better thank a union member for vacation time.

It sounds just as authentic when I do it. But maybe even more. I think that sounds a little bit more authentic than Kamala Harris does. I can pull that off better than she could. You better thank a union member. You got to get that, you better thank, you better thank a union member. You got to get that there's a little flow to it that she's trying to do. And, you know, we're used to seeing this kind of thing.

And, you know, so obviously the Detroit speech, she's once again trying to sound urban, but instead ends up sounding like foghorn, leghorn. She's trying to connect with black voters by changing her accent and tone. But ironically, she winds up sounding a little bit like a plantation owner in the antebellum south. Meanwhile, in the Pennsylvania clip, she just sounds completely different. And Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and Bill Clinton did this kind of thing all the time. But they at least waited like a few days before dropping their accents. They didn't leave the urban environment and immediately start speaking normally again.

and you usually don't get like the exact same lines that you can compare side by side that way. So this may be the single worst attempt at quote unquote code switching or whatever you want to call it that has ever been attempted. But Kamala attempted it anyway. So whatever this is, whether it's desperation or incompetence or both, it's a clear sign that the Democrats aren't going to change their tactics just because they don't have the talent to pull it off.

They still have no problem being completely shameless in their attempts to divide this country along racial lines. So that means the media will continue to tell us that innocuous restaurant receipts are racist. Ben Crump will nod along as an actor lies about hate crimes. And Kamala Harris will do everything she can to prevent people from realizing that she grew up in a wealthy neighborhood in Montreal. Put it all together, and it's clear that the left's racial pandering is now so overt that it manages to insult the intelligence. of the people that they're pandering to. This is inevitably what happens when the demand for racism outstrips the supply. You get hoax after hoax after hoax.

And eventually the hoaxes start looking a bit too familiar and a bit too obvious. That's what we're seeing now. The fraud is clearer than it's ever been. And if Kamala Harris made anything clear yesterday, it's that she's incapable of hiding it. sons and daughters during the Biden-Harris administration's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, released a joint statement and individual statements over the weekend, slamming Vice President Kamala Harris over a political attack that she made against former President Donald Trump that was filled with false statements. Harris attacked Trump on Saturday for visiting Arlington National Cemetery to pay his respects to the 13 U.S. service members who died during the withdrawal, which was approved by Harris. The families released a joint statement saying that they personally invited Trump to attend the event at ANC and that they were appalled by her attacks on social media, saying that she disgracefully twisted this sacred moment into a political place. They said, quote, reading the statement, Vice President Harris bears responsibility for the deaths of our sons and daughters.

Despite our multiple requests for a meeting to discuss the loss of our loved ones, Vice President Harris has repeatedly ignored us, showing a complete lack of empathy and accountability. This refusal to face the consequences of her administration's decisions is a deep betrayal to us as Gold Star families. President Trump, on the other hand, has been the only commander chief to consistently recognize the heroism of our children. His attendance in Arlington was not for political gain, but to stand with us, to grieve with us, and to honor the legacy of those who gave everything for this nation. His leadership during his time in office was strong, and we have no doubt that if he were still commander in chief, our children would be alive today. So that's what they have to say about it.

And of course, they're correct that, well, they're correct about the whole thing, but they're fundamentally correct that, you know, Harris is a key. Trump of using the Arlington National Cemetery as a political prop, when in fact, that's exactly what she's doing. He didn't turn it into a political issue. He was just there. Okay? They made the fact that he was there into a political issue.

So they are the ones, of course, who are politicizing it. And there were also a bunch of, as the article said, a bunch of individual statements from Gold Star families responding to this contrived controversy that Kamala Harris' campaign has cooked up. So here's, we'll watch one of those statements. Here it is. Vice President Harris, my name is Steve Nekui. I'm the father of Lance Corporal Karim M. Nekui, and your administration killed my son. Deliberately in exchange for political theatrics so you could have a final day of the evacuation coincide with September 11th. Ignoring the vice of your generals, the Doha Agreement,

and countless other veterans and members of Congress. Denying the safety of the Afghans and the servicemen and women. Your choice to play politics in 2021, killed 170 Afghans, 13 U.S. service members, and wounded 45 of our superiors members, as well as countless Afghans. You are not at Dover for the dignified transfer.

At no time have you reached out to me to offer your condolences, to offer thank you for Kareem's sacrifice and service. Not once have you honored him by saying his name, so I said it for you. You have disparaged all 13 who have lost their lives as well as their families, exhibiting your lack of gratitude by your silence. I agree with you on one thing, that a person like you should never and will never,

stand behind the seal of presidency. You are a DEI vice president. And contrary to our kids, the worst that America has the offer. I will pray for you that God has mercy on your soul. So this should

really be the scandal. Biden got those service members killed. He ignored the families. Didn't show up to the dignified transfer. Didn't show up to the ceremony at Arlington. Hasn't contacted them. Doesn't care. And yet Trump, is the villain of this story somehow. So I really have to wonder what the Kamala campaign is seeing

in their internal polling that has made them this desperate, because they're obviously worried, so they're playing this card relentlessly. And I wonder, I've seen this speculation on Twitter, and I think there's probably truth to it. You have to wonder if their internals are showing that Kamala is way underwater with veterans and the military. vote. And, you know, my guess is that the veteran vote is strongly against Kamala, partly because she's a communist, and people in the military generally don't approve of communism. And partly because her running mate is a fraud who committed stolen valor. And so those two factors together will make you pretty unpopular with many people in the military and many people who are

ex-military and veterans. So most likely. if I had to guess, they've seen that. They're worried about it. And this is their way of trying to counteract it with this siop, trying to convince everyone that Trump somehow disrespected the military by showing up to Arlington, you know, and being filmed there. Even though, as we talked about last week, presidents and presidential candidates are filmed at Arlington all the time. It has never been an issue ever until right now. Biden was filmed there. Obama was, Bush was, Clinton was, on and on and on.

I mean, Biden put Arlington in campaign ads. They had images of Biden at Arlington. They had images from Arlington that Biden put into campaign ads. But this is the game with Trump. It's always been their game plan. this constant gaslighting, trying to convince us that we should be shocked and scandalized by things that are normal. They take something normal Trump has done and they shout, this is unprecedented.

Nobody's ever done this before in history. We've never seen anything like this. And every time they do that, your first reaction is to think, wait, no, but I'm pretty sure, I'm pretty sure like every president has done that. Haven't I seen this a million times? But they want you to ignore your first reaction, ignore your gut level reaction, ignore your BS detector, and conjure up within yourself somehow, some kind of outrage at Trump for doing something that doesn't even seem wrong to you because it isn't wrong. That's what they want. Moving on to Biden, who's back from his three-week vacation.

I mean, well, he's not back in the White House. This guy hasn't been in the White House in like a month. Okay. And he takes a three-week vacation. He's done in January. He's done forever in politics. You've got a couple of months left. You could take the rest of your life.

However short it may be, God forbid, will be a vacation starting in January. You can't wait until then. before taking off and go to the beach. You can spend the rest of your life on the beach, starting in January. But he can't wait. So he's been there. And yesterday, though, he returned from the beach,

and he went to give a speech in Pittsburgh. He's out campaigning now. And it only took about 15 seconds in his speech in Pittsburgh last night to show that Biden certainly didn't. reclaim any of his mental faculties during his hiatus. Listen. You're no longer being the manufacturing capital world. Where the hell is that written? We are the greatest manufacturing city or county in the world, state in the world, Sydney world. We're going to remain that way. He says we are the greatest

manufacturing city in the world, county in the world, state in the world, city in the world. What's so amazing about it, it's like there's no point in even dissecting these Biden He's done. His mind is gone. So it's just, it's finished. He's completely gone. And we know that. But this one stands out because it, he runs through every level of social organization except country.

He's searching for country. He hits every other level of government, except that one. He hits city, county, state. And then, like, he's about to get it. It took him three tries. I mean, city, county state. Last one is country. That's what you're looking for.

But he circles back to city. His brain is like, it precludes him from saying the one word that he wants to say. It's like he's, this guy's mind is a vacuum at this point. It's an abyss. It's a black hole. And this guy is still allegedly running the country. All right. I also wanted to mention that this is important to talk about.

Well, it's not very important, but I'll still talk about it. J.D. Vance is often accused, unfairly, I think, accused of being an awkward guy. And you see these clips floating around of Vance on the campaign trail, having interactions with people. and the social media peanut gallery sneers and snickers about it, claiming that Vance is just this awkward dude with no Riz, as the kids would say. But as with most criticisms of Vance, I think it's completely unfair. In fact, I've watched these videos. I think he's pretty smooth and natural on the campaign trail. He's better than I thought he would be. So I've been impressed. It's just that he gets blamed. He gets blamed. So I want to show you this because this is a, it's symptomatic of the issue with JD Vance. He gets blamed for stuff like this. Here's the latest viral video allegedly showing J.D. Vance being awkward and weird. But let's just very quick little clip. Let's watch it and see who's to blame in this interaction. Let's see it.

First time here? First time here. Okay. Thank you for coming. That was quick. You made it. Play the clip one more time. It was very important to dissect this.

Play one more time. Okay. See? So this clip's all over Twitter right now. People are saying, you see this guy's so awkward. Who's to blame for that? He goes in for the handshake.

The woman goes for the fist bump. And so he kind of like awkwardly shakes her bolt up. fist and then withdraws and then goes for the fist bump because that's what she's trying to do. She looks at his hand with the fist bump and just keeps her hands in her pocket. Like, what? How can you blame him for that? He went in for the handshake with an old woman. Who would ever think that an old white woman would do the fist bump?

He wasn't ready for that. You see an old white woman, you think it's either going to be a handshake or a hug. Those are the only two. What other greeting would there be with Granny over here? He never expected that she would go for the fist bump. And then he tries to switch. Who does that? What kind of sociopath?

Like, first of all, you've switched the greeting mid-stream. And then he tries to correct. And you don't even humor him with this. You leave him hanging. This is why, and this is really what is important to me. when someone the rule here and it should be

if I was in charge this is a legal thing I mean I would put the force of law behind it when someone initiates a greeting you go with whatever type of greeting they have initiated

okay so I can't stand when people do this if someone goes in for the handshake you shake their handshake you shake their hand. You don't try to switch it to a fist bump. If the fist bump is so important to you, then you have to initiate. You waited too long.

You can't do that. If somebody goes for the fist bump, on the other hand, you don't try to change it to a handshake. If somebody goes for a hug, I'm not a big huger, but if someone goes for a hug, you don't, like, awkwardly try to put your hand in between. You just do the hug. You suck it up and do the hug, okay? This is crazy that people don't.

If they go in for a kiss on the lips, you know, what, you pucker up and give the kiss. I'm kidding about that last one. I draw the line at the kiss. Okay, if someone goes for the kiss, that's too intimate. So then that really is on them, because they went too far. But really, greetings, it should be a handshake in most circumstances. A fist bump is like, I mean, really, we should just get rid of the fist bump as a greeting at all, between strangers especially. Okay, if this is like your buddies or something, you know, whatever. But a fist bump. between strangers who are adults

and you're doing a fist bump. So really, we should just get rid of that as a greeting, but handshake, there are circumstances where a hug, even between strangers can be, you know, can be the correct etiquette. Again, I say that as not a big hugger, but, and then if you want to throw a fist bump, so like those are the three.

But when somebody initially, one of those. If they initiate a high five, then you reciprocate. Drives me crazy. Drives me crazy. I don't know. I don't understand how people do this. Okay. Yeah, I'd put, I mean, if it were up to me, that woman's going to prison for that. That's, that's, and I'm not, look, I'm not unreasonable. I'm not saying I'd put her in, not even prison. You know what? I wouldn't even put her in prison. I'll, I'll correct that. I put her in jail. So I'm not saying we put her in prison for five years for that, I think that's worth 30 days in jail. Because I guarantee this woman is old.

She's been doing that her whole life. Ruinning normal social interactions by being unnecessarily weird about it and not just going with the flow. Right. I guarantee she's been doing that forever. And someone's got to put a stop to it. All right. What else we got here? Last week we talked about this Amendment 4 issue in Florida.

Amendment 4 will overturn Florida's abortion restrictions and actually make abortion legal through every stage of pregnancy up until birth. It's incredibly radical, deranged, demonic, beyond extreme. And Trump was asked whether he would vote in favor of this radical pro-abortion amendment because he's a resident of Florida. And the first time he was asked, he didn't give an answer,

but seemed to sort of indicate that maybe he would support it, although it wasn't clear. And we talked about that on Friday. And then later in the day, I think it was the same day, he finally gave this clarification. Let's listen. Disagreed with that right from the early primaries when I heard about it. I disagreed with it. At the same time, the Democrats are radical because the nine months is just a ridiculous situation where you can do an abortion in the ninth month. And, you know, some of the states like Minnesota and other states have it where you could actually execute the baby after birth. And all of that stuff is unacceptable.

So I'll be voting no for that reason. Okay, there you go. So that's the right answer. It's an easy answer to give. It would have been great if he had given that answer the first time. Because it is easy. You know, you just pivot back to. left-wing extremism. It's not this. I've been, you know, I've been shouting this into a megaphone

now incessantly for months, really years during my career, but the pro-life issue, I don't care, I understand, oh, the polls, the polls say that most Americans are, okay, stop being a little pansy. I understand the poll, you don't have to be afraid, and I say this is a general, comments, conservatives in general. You don't need to be afraid of the issue just because the polls say this or that. Who are we? We're afraid. The way that conservatives, especially in this election cycle, are treating the abortion issue, just terrified of it, petrified, ashamed, they're embarrassed. We are opposed to the murder of babies. What are you embarrassed about? Why would you be ashamed? of that. And it's not difficult. It is actually not a difficult issue to talk about or navigate

around. And I say this as for the umpteenth time, I'll repeat, I'm not expecting because even though we shouldn't be afraid of what the polls say, I understand the polls are a reality. And if you're running for office, especially national office, you have to deal with that reality. And I'm not expecting candidates for national office to, you know, go jump on a grenade and blow up their campaign for no reason. I'm not expecting them to take, you know, to go out of their way to take positions that are wildly unpopular and that might actually sink their campaign, which is why I don't expect Trump to come out and say that, for example, he wants to pass a law banning abortion from birth at the federal level.

I don't expect. I would like to see that law. There's a very good argument for that law. In fact, the only good argument is for, because it's a, it's a human rights issue. And so it is a constitutional issue. But I don't expect that. And I want these candidates to actually be elected, right? You can't do anything if they're not elected. So, you know, you got to, so there's a, there's a certain amount of pragmatism. You have to be practical. I get all that. But. even acknowledging that and acknowledging that there are sensitivities you have to work around and you can't just run into this issue like a bull in a china shop, as I tend to do. And I also get that

I have the luxury of approaching issues that way because I'm not running for office. But with all that established, it's still a really easy issue to deal with. Because we they are the ones who are supporting the murder of children and so they are the ones who have all of these

you know pitfalls all of these booby traps that are laid out there that they could fall into at any moment when talking about this issue. That's why they have to constantly use euphemisms all the time. They are the ones who should be terrified of this issue. And if you approach it the right way and you're smart about it, they will be terrified of it. There's a way for Trump.

Kamal Harris is going into this debate next week, obviously, you know, planning probably to hit Trump on abortion over and over and over again. But it would not be difficult for Trump to handle it in a way where suddenly this thing that Kamala Harris wanted to talk about for the entire debate, she doesn't want to talk about it anymore. It wouldn't be hard to do. You can steer this conversation because there's, as I've said a million times, there's a narrow lane that the Democrats want to walk on this issue. There's a narrow lane that they want to be in that lane. And as long as they're in that lane, yeah, they're very comfortable there. They want to talk about it.

They feel like it's a winner for them. But it's so narrow. It's not even a lane. It's like a tightrope that they have to walk. So it just takes a slight nudge. to knock them off balance and suddenly they're falling into an abyss that they don't want to where they don't want to be. Not hard to get them there. And all that means is pivot back to their extremism.

They want to murder babies until through every stage of pregnancy. Pivot back to the fundamental questions on this issue. Questions like, well, what, when do people, do people, I mean, do people, When is a person a person? Is a baby not a person until the moment it emerges from the birth canal? Why would that be the case? I mean, if you have a firm position on this, you think abortion should be legal through every stage of pregnancy, then you must have an answer as to whether or not the child is a person.

And they can't answer that. They can't answer that. She's not going to say, if Trump has the wits and the wherewithal, to just turn to her and say, listen, Kamala, we're talking about this issue. I'm fine talking about it. But can we just get down to the, let's get down to the brass tax on this thing first. At what point is a baby a person? Isn't that what we're talking about?

Can you answer that question first? She will not answer that question. And that's a problem because, well, she'll say something, Obama famously said it's above his pay grade. She'll say something like that. She'll say, well, many people have different opinions on this. It's impossible to know. Well, wait a second. So you're saying you don't know if the baby is a person.

And so even in your version of events, you might be supporting the murder of people. So you don't know if the baby's a person and your answer is kill the baby anyway. I mean, before you kill something, shouldn't you at least be, shouldn't you at least figure out what it is? Basic question. Trump goes that route. It's a winner, I guarantee. He can annihilate her on this issue. Embarrass her. But you can't be afraid of it. You can't be afraid of it. There's no reason to be afraid. It's like I tell my, when I'm out with my sons, and we're throwing a ball around. Now, throw the ball of them. I say, don't be, you know, they want to flinch and look away from the ball and catch it. I say, don't be afraid of the ball.

Don't be afraid of it. It's not going to hurt you. It might hit your head and you'll, you know, you'll be fine. Don't be afraid of the ball. Well, when you're talking about this issue, don't be afraid of the ball. Don't be afraid of it. Right? You're throwing this thing back and forth.

Don't be afraid of it. There's nothing to be afraid of. lean into it. And if you're willing to do that, you can win the argument very easily. Now listeners of this show know that I am often a critic of modern Western civilization. I criticize it not because I hate it or want to leave, but because I love it and plan to stay here until I die and raise my children here,

just as my children will raise their own children and so on and so on. What troubles me about our society is the degradation, the moral chaos, the signs of collapse and decay, and that's where I focus my criticisms. But there are others who hate Western civilization for all of the good things about it. They are the authors of the degradation, chaos, and collapse that I just mentioned. They criticize Western civilization because they despise it, just as they despise civilization itself. And that explains the relatively recent rise of the anti-air conditioning movement, which is, of course, an outgrowth of the climate hysteria that is gripped hold of some of the most impressionable and gullible portions of our society. This weekend, an author named Stan Cox submitted another entry into the burgeoning anti-AC genre with an op-ed in the New York Times titled,

I swore off air conditioning, and you can too. Well, yes, Stan, we can swear it off, but why in God's name would we want to? That's the question he needs to answer, and let's see if he does. Quote, whenever people ask me how my wife and I have endured 25 Kansas summers, almost entirely without air conditioning, I like to say we do it because air conditioning makes it too hot outside. We're not aesthetics, Luddites, or misers. We just want to keep living comfortably indoors and out. Now, a quick side note here.

It's funny that Stan rules out from the start that his anti-AC position is due to him being an aesthetic Luddite or Miser. Because those would all be the only legitimate reasons to not use air conditioning. At least they're the closest thing to legitimate. So if you have decided to practice asceticism and you are swearing off earthly pleasures and physical comforts as part of some kind of, you know, severe spiritual discipline, and you're sweating your ass off in your own living room all summer long as part of that process. Well, I can respect that. I'm not coming over to visit, especially not any time between the months of May and October,

but I respect your commitment. But those are not the reasons why Stan has rejected his air conditioning unit. Those are rarely the reasons why the anti-AC people reject it. So let's continue. Quote, our bodies have grown so accustomed to climate-controlled indoor spaces set out at chilly 69 degrees that anything else can feel unbearable. And the greenhouse gases created by the roughly 90% of American households that own AC mean that running them even in balmy temperatures is making the climate crisis worse.

Our species evolved biologically and culturally under wildly varying climatic conditions, and we haven't lost that ability to adapt. Research suggests that when we spend more time in warm or hot summer weather, we could start feeling comfortable at temperatures that once felt insufferable. To keep us going through the rest of the summer, we rely on electric fans, which consume only about 2% of the energy needed to air-condition in one room. They're not only free of the refrigerants that amplify air conditioning's contribution to global warming. They can also save you money.

So this is about stopping climate change, as always. This is why Stan and his family willingly choose to live inside an oven, but they do have some alternative methods for keeping cool. He tells us, quote, We also kept other appliances and devices turned off as much as possible because they too generate heat. Dishwashers are trouble putting out heat and humidity. We don't have one. We can't unplug the refrigerator, of course,

but we keep our set for just under 40 degrees, the highest safe temperature, according to the FDA. And we dry our laundry in the clothes line out back. When it gets too hot, we lightly spray water on our arms, legs, and faces. The water helps dissipate a lot of heat. A quick cold shower or a little time spent with that all-American favorite, the lawn sprinkler also can bring relief. So this is what Stan is reduced to.

Spraying himself with a water bottle, like he's a misbehaving cat, running through the sprinkler just to stave off the heat exhaustion. And to make matters worse, he also deprives himself of a dishwasher and a washing machine. He has rejected, he's rejected perhaps the three greatest household inventions. And he's rejected them for the dumbest imaginable reason. Not like a cool reason, like he's Amish, or even a practical reason, like if he was broke. But for the sake of the climate, the stupidest, lamest, least practical reason of all. And look, I take this sort of thing personally, I admit, because I am a lifelong diehard fan of air conditioning.

I am basically the president of air conditioning's fan club. No pun intended. There are few technological advances in human history that have been as beneficial as air conditioning. It has undoubtedly saved millions of lives over the years. There's actually been studies done on this. For instance, in the year 2019 alone, according to one study, air conditioning was responsible for saving nearly 200,000 lives. It's not difficult to see how that would be the case. But even aside from the lives saved, the perhaps less urgent but still profoundly important point,

is that it makes life markedly more enjoyable for hundreds of millions of people. Few inventions have increased quality of life as significantly as air conditioning has. It's an invention so great that, unlike so many other, almost as great inventions, it's nearly impossible to take for granted. So I admit that whenever I open my refrigerator or I get into my car, I am not always consciously grateful for the fact that refrigerators and cars exist, even though I am grateful. But every time I walk into an air-conditioned building on a hot day, I always think to myself, my God, I'm so glad air conditioning exists.

In fact, the lack of air conditioning is the first reason that I would never want to take a time machine back to the distant past where they didn't have air conditioning. Well, that's the second reason, I guess. The first reason is that time machines don't exist. But the point is that air conditioning is wonderful. And that's exactly why people like Stan leftists want to discourage you from using it. This is an ideology committed to making your life more miserable. It actively seeks to remove joy from existence.

Now, it does this at deeper and more serious levels, the family, faith, tradition, national identity, all of these being sources of meaning and therefore fulfillment and therefore happiness. But this agenda is enacted closer to the surface too. Don't eat meat, it says. Don't own your own home. Don't drive. Don't use gas stoves.

Turn off your air conditioning. As I said, if these forms of self-denial were being recommended as a means of discovering some greater spiritual truth through suffering and deprivation, I could respect it. I wouldn't do it, but I'd respect it. Except that's not what's happening here. This is the worst kind of suffering. This is suffering without meaning, without purpose. Misery for misery's sake. It's like being an ascetic without the asceticism. Instead, it's being replaced with some vague idea that these sacrifices will save the climate or something. But it's not going to do anything for the climate one way or another. And it's not

really intended to. This is an anti-human agenda. Environmentalism is just its glossy cover. Underneath all of that is a seething hatred for humanity itself. And that's why Stan really turns off his air conditioning and enjoins you to do the same. And it's why you shouldn't. And it's also why Stan is today canceled. That'll do for the show today.
