As we approach the six-month mark of Donald Trump's second term in office, it's hard to think of another administration in modern history that's faced more resistance from within. That is to say, resistance from within its own party when it tries to fall through on its single most important and prominent campaign pledge. Normally, when presidents take office after making an explicit campaign promise,

their party tries to turn that agenda into reality. of nothing else from a political perspective, it's obviously the smart thing to do. That's certainly what happened when Joe Biden took office. Every Democrat of the country lined up behind Biden to push every single talking point his administration produced, whether it was about COVID or January 6th or anything else. There was zero dissent anywhere in the party. But that's not what's happening in the second Trump administration. Said many Republicans have set out to undermine the immigration platform that Trump ran on. You probably remember Tom Homan at the Republican National Convention telling illegal aliens all of

them that they should start, quote, packing their bags because they're going to be deported. And as recently as last week, Homan emphasized the importance of that objective, saying there'll be no special protections for any illegal aliens, including farm workers. Top White House officials like Stephen Miller, also DHS Secretary Kristy Knoem, the president himself have all made that same point in the past few days. But Republicans in Congress and in various states have taken the opposite approach. they've been waging a battle against immigration enforcement, and it's a more expansive fight than you might realize. Earlier this month, six Republican lawmakers in California wrote a letter to the president, urging him to suspend immigration raids at workplaces.

And separately, a Nebraska congressman named Don Bacon, who's retiring at the end of his current term, called on Trump to adopt a balanced approach to immigration enforcement, one that allows certain illegal aliens to remain in this country if they haven't committed additional crimes after arriving. In Utah, Republican Governor Spencer Cox has said the same thing. He's called on ICE to focus on people who are breaking the law and causing harm, as he put it, even though all illegal aliens by definition are breaking the law and causing harm. In Washington State, Republican Congressman Dan Newhouse introduced legislation with bipartisan support that would grant temporary legal status to farm workers, even if they arrived in this country illegally. In fact, even if the farm workers have committed additional crimes after entering the United States, they could still qualify for legal status as long as they haven't committed

felonies or two misdemeanors involving moral turpitude. So we're granting legal status to people who have committed multiple crimes in this country as long as they haven't committed too many of them. We'll give you two, not three. Meanwhile, Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson, another Republican, just wrote an op-ed in which he stated, quote, our focus should remain on deporting dangerous criminals, not law-abiding farmers and ranchers. Let me be clear, making meaningful reforms to the H-2A visa program and establishing a strong

legal immigration workforce for agricultural producers is not an amnesty deal. Our country needs a stable labor force to protect our food supply and ensure farmers can continue to do their jobs. Now, even though, again, calling them law-abiding makes no sense they broke the law coming in. Along the same lines, the Republican in charge of the Agricultural Committee, G.T. Thompson, Pennsylvania recently said that ice raids on farms and packing plans are, quote, just wrong and that ice should, quote, knock it off.

As Thompson put it, quote, Let's go after the criminals and give us time to put processes in place so we don't disrupt the food supply chain. Yes, we have multiple prominent Republicans declaring that illegal aliens are not in fact criminals, that people can be law abiding, even if their very first act upon entering the country was to break the law because they broke it by the way they entered. It would be one thing if these Republican lawmakers just said,

yeah, illegal aliens are criminals, even if they work on farms, but we shouldn't deport them anyway because my constituents love cheap slave labor, and I don't care about American workers, even though I'm supposed to represent the interests of Americans. I mean, that would at least be honest. Now, to be very clear about this, any Republican who pretends that illegal aliens aren't actually criminals, anyone who talks like G.T. Thompson or Mike Simpson or any of the rest of them

doesn't believe that we have a country. They're not simply undermining the Trump administration. They're undermining the entire nation fundamentally. And this is not, unfortunately, a fringe sentiment among Republicans. We're not talking about one or two members of Congress here who happen to represent states that have a lot of illegal farm workers. This is now a growing nationwide movement among Republican politicians to sabotage the White House's immigration agenda, an agenda that won the popular vote and every single swing state. At the moment, the biggest threat comes from Florida Congresswoman Maria Salazar, who's just introduced something called the, Dignity Act. And here is Maria Salazar to explain. I believe that after the border has been sealed

with the BBB, $150 billion that we have assigned, I think the moment now is to have that national conversation and determine who are we going to be targeting. I do believe that the president promised that the illegals who are criminals were going to be kicked out of the country. Now there is another mass of people who most of them are Hispanics who have been here for more than five years. they have been contributing to the economy, who do not have a criminal record, and those people are the ones who deserve some type of dignity. And for the reason, I'm introducing today, so I thank you for the opportunity. Immigration reform, a GOP member of Congress is going to be trying to give dignity, not amnesty, to those people who deserve to stay and continue contributing

to our economy. She starts by celebrating the Trump administration's victory on the southern border and how it's great that we're, you know, finally enforcing immigration law. And then in the breath, she talks about how important it is to grant legal status to tens of millions of foreign nationals who broke our laws by crossing the border. It's a bit like telling your child that stealing is wrong and then giving him $10,000 because he got away with stealing. Makes no sense. And that scenario, they're going to get the message that stealing is the most rational course of action. And, you know, this shouldn't need to be said, but I'll say it anyway. People respond to incentives. And the incentives that Maria Salazar's bill would create

are pretty clear. She's saying that if you manage to enter this country, then you'll be rewarded. And as much as she claims that this is not amnesty, the fact remains that her legislation would grant legal status, which is renewable indefinitely, which is amnesty, to tens of millions of illegal aliens. As long as they've been here for more than five years,

which is a totally just arbitrary thing, five years, why not six, why not seven, why not four. And as long as they haven't committed any heinous crimes that we know of, then she's going to grant them legal status. And for good measure, her bill throws in a permanent residency status for so-called dreamers who enter this country illegally as children. We're going to do the specifics of the bill in a moment, but those are the top line items. According to Salazar, all of this makes sense because illegals deserve to stay here.

That's the word she used and that we should allow them to stay in the name of dignity. Those were the words. and it's all very trite and of course we're not supposed to actually think about what she's saying but you know i'll i'll think about it anyway and say that because because her legislation has serious implications even if maria salazar herself isn't a remotely serious person so here's the relevant question if foreigners deserve to disregard our laws what laws do i as an american citizen deserve to disregard. Do I deserve to not pay my taxes?

Do I deserve to ignore speed limits? Do I deserve to shoplift? When do I get my dignity? Or is this an entitlement reserved only for foreign nationals? Why exactly are we awarding these people who have no right to be in the country in the first place? A get-out-a-jail-free card, while American citizens are currently being hassled by the IRS for failing to report their 600, $100 Venmo payment. She says that these illegal aliens have worked hard and lived here for a long time.

And that's true for some of them. Some of them have lived here for a long time. Some of them have even worked hard. But, you know, there are a lot of American citizens who work hard too. And they've lived here for a lot longer. So what's their payout? The free DUI, the haul past to punch their annoying boss? What do they get?

And when do they get it? Because it turns out that when you've got legal citizens, if they break the law, like say tax law, the IRS will come in and they'll destroy your life. They'll take your house. They'll throw you in prison. No one's going to be crying about, oh, you're separating families. In that case, they say, yeah, we are, but you know what? You broke the law. This is the way it goes. Them's the brakes. But for illegals, suddenly it's a great travesty to enforce the law. Once you start granting exemptions to laws, particularly some of the most important laws in the books, like the laws that define our national borders, then you have to

answer questions like this. This isn't complicated or controversial. Again, most Americans voted for Donald Trump precisely because he would enforce the law, regardless of whatever sob stories the left could dream up. It's a good bet that for most of these voters, it seemed hard to imagine that the right would be coming up with the ones who are coming up with these sob stories. That's exactly what's happening. Here's another Republican, a guy named Gabe Evans, and he represents a district in Colorado, And this is his pitch for the so-called Dignity Act. Hi, I'm Congressman Gabe Evans from Colorado's 8th Congressional District, and today I am so happy to be able to help introduce the Bipartisan Dignity Act.

I'm the grandson of immigrants from Mexico, and so this bill is particularly important to me because it does three critical things. It makes sure that we have resources to secure the border. It helps us crush the criminals, the cartels, and the gangbangers that are in our community illegally and causing problems, but it also provides a pathway for hardworking immigrants who want to come to the United States, work hard, raise their family, be a contributing part of the American dream. And this is something that I've heard from the employers and from the Latino community in my district. They want that path forward to be able to comply with the law and earn

their version of the American dream. That's what the Dignity Act does. And I'm so honored to be able to help introduce it today. Notice he sort of buries the whole amnesty thing towards the end of his pitch. He begins by saying that this legislation will actually secure the border, although it doesn't do that. Congress just passed a massive spending bill that allocates huge amounts of money, tens of billions of dollars, to improve border security. By contrast, this Dignity Act creates something called humanitarian campuses all along the border. According to one summary of the legislation, when they arrive at these campuses, quote, migrants would have access to medical staff, licensed social workers, mental health professionals, child advocates, private organizations that provide

humanitarian assistance and legal counsel. Remember, this is a Republican bill. Yes, the Dignity Act would fund legal counsel and mental health care professionals for illegal aliens. That's how they're going to secure the border. It actually gets a lot worse than that. As the lawyer, Will Chamberlain pointed out, the Dignity Act, by its own terms, is so expansive that it would grant legal status to some of the dangerous and depraved criminals in the country. Consider the case of Abrago Garcia, the alleged MS-13 member and alleged wife-beater who was the subject of so much Democrat angst in recent weeks, under the Dignity Act, Abrago-Garcia would be entitled to legal status in the country. That's because he entered the country when he was 16 years old, and the bill bans federal

and state law enforcement from using databases to determine whether someone's a gang member, which is not an exaggeration. It's in the bill. Here's what that section looks like. It reads, Quote, evidentiary limitation. Allegations of gang membership obtained from a state or federal in-house or local database or a network of databases used for the purposes of recording and sharing activities of alleged gang members across law enforcement agencies shall not establish the participation described in such paragraph. So it doesn't matter that law enforcement officers recorded Obrigo Garcia's gang clothing or associations in a database. Yeah, you'd think the database is there precisely for this reason so that it could be used in these cases.

but it can't be used, according to the bill. Additionally, because of Gregory Garcia was merely accused of domestic violence instead of convicted of it, he wouldn't be barred under this bill either. That's because, as you can see here, the law only excludes convicted felons or illegal aliens convicted of two or more misdemeanors, excluding cannabis-related crimes for some reason, I don't know. So even if your wife keeps claiming that you beat her, it doesn't matter. And while Gregory Garcia suspected human trafficking might theoretically,

be an issue, the bill still allows DHS Secretary to allow him into the country, quote, for humanitarian purposes, for family unity, or because the waiver is otherwise in the public interest. Let's put that up on the screen. This is what's known as a loophole. And by itself, this is provision should be enough to kill the bill immediately. Just imagine how a Democrat DHS secretary would interpret that provision, its amnesty in every sentence. All of Brigger Garcia would have to do is enroll in some educational program and he'd qualify for legal status under the bill. And it gets even worse than that somehow. Take a look at this provision, which was spotted by Walter Kurt. It reads, quote, limitation on removal. An alien who appears to be prima facie eligible

for relief under this division shall be given a reasonable opportunity to apply for such relief and may not be removed until a final decision establishing ineligibility for relief is rendered. In other words, ICE has to stand down if someone could potentially qualify under this legislation for legal status. As soon as they file the paperwork or even before that, ISIS's hands are tied. This would obviously create a major log jam and completely paralyzed immigration enforcement,

which is the whole point. So it's the whole thing's an abomination. And Maria Salazar can't explain any of it. Here's what you said on NBC the other day trying to explain this bill. Watch. Because a lot of Trump voters, they voted for mass deportations. Mad deportation of Tenderawa, mass deportation of the bad hombres, mad deportation of the legal who are criminals.

But Trump knows that those workers are needed and we are ramping up the economy again. But that is not what is currently happening. Just that, yes, Tom Homan, the borders are, and I've spoken to him many times, he has said that the priority is undocumented immigrants with criminal records. But according to this administration, they believe that every immigrant who is here illegally is breaking the law. How do you respond to that? And they have broken the law, but the thing is that someone gave them a job for the last decades because they were needed because that person needed hands or workers, workers that are still needed

today. So the new rule is that even if you break the law, that's not a big deal. If someone gave you a job and that job is, quote, still needed today. That's the argument. And at the moment, 10 Republicans in Congress have co-sponsored this legislation. legislation that Maria Salazar, why does the legislation actually exist? Why did Maria Salazar actually write it?

Well, because she's Hispanic. And so she is siding with who she considers her people to be, her countrymen, who are not Americans. But there are allegedly American congressmen who've taken her side, and those include Mike Lawler of New York, David Valadeo of California, Dan Newhouse of Washington, Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania, Brian Fitzpatrick, Pennsylvania, Gabe Evans of

Colorado, Marlon Stutzman of Indiana, Don Bacon, Nebraska, and Young Kim of California. None of these lawmakers should ever receive another Republican vote for any reason ever again, needless to say. Their goal very clearly is to use the president's success of the border as cover to advance amnesty. They're advancing foreign interests and the demands of a small number of business owners who profit from illegal labor and slave labor instead of the interests of this country. The White House should respond by investigating every single one of the farm owners who are pushing this bill because the odds are about 1,000 percent that they're employing illegal aliens instead of American citizens. It's a whole reason that they're pushing the bill.

In order for this country to continue to exist, laws against foreign invasion must be enforced. There cannot be any exceptions. When you have exceptions, it breaks down the whole thing. Republican voters understand that, which is why Donald Trump won the last election. Now the Republicans who seek to undermine this administration, the will of voters, need to be removed from office. Don Bacon is already resigning in Nebraska. That's a start. Now, every single co-sponsor of this abomination and every Republican who voices even a word of support for it should be run out of office as well. Now let's get to our five headline. Here's a story out of the third world healthcape known as San Francisco, a report from the local KRON station. So as a Walgreens store manager was convicted of assaulting a shoplifter who stole shampoo in San Francisco, according to the

DA's office. Following the trial, jurors found the Walgreens manager, 46-year-old Guang Hong guilty for a violent March 19th incident at the store. San Francisco shop owners have struggled to deter and thwart shoplifters in recent years. This attorney Brooke Jenkins said Monday, although I understand the frustration and anger in the community, violence is unacceptable and only makes matters worse. The shoplifted for 30-year-old Larry Whitlock walked in the store before 5 a.m. and stole a bottle of shampoo. As he was leaving, the security guard, alerted Mr. Hong, the Walgreens manager of the theft.

Hong recovered the stolen shampoo bottle and then came back out about a minute later, placed his keys between his knuckles and punched the shoplifter in the face while shouting at him. And he was, so he was just convicted with assault with force, likely to produce great bodily injury. And he'll be sentenced on August 15th. All right. So they convicted the store manager of felonies for fighting someone who was. trying to steal from him. And there is security camera footage of this incident. And we'll put it on the screens you can see it. As you watch it, you can see the manager come out and confront the guy, right? That's the first like altercation. He recovers a stolen shampoo bottle. You can see him pick

it up. So the first altercation is over the stolen merchandise. And so that shouldn't be an issue at all. Then he comes back out. But he comes back out because, and I, I guess this is probably what, this was, this was probably the thing that really screwed him over in the court is that he came back out. But it comes back out because the guy's still lingering around the store. So he's got a shoplifter lingering around the store. And so he confronts him. But then when you watch the video to my eyes, it very clearly seems that the shoplifter throws the first punch in the second altercation. Like clearly throws the first punch. So there are two altercations. The first is initiated by the manager because he's recovering his merchandise.

The second turns violent because the shoplifter swings at the manager. And so that's reason enough to let him go free. He should have been convicted. He should not have even been charged. But of course, in San Francisco, he's not only charged but convicted and will probably do serious prison time for the crime of beating up a shoplifting low life. Now, if I'm on the jury, there is no way that I vote to convict this. guy. There's just no way in hell. And I think you can easily make the case that this was self-defense on the part of the store manager. The first fight was him defending the store. Second fight was defending himself, having the shop to try to punch him. There's at least enough of an excuse there that if you're

like a rational, good, decent person and you're on the jury, and there's not a lot of those in San Francisco, which was the problem for this guy. But if you are, there's enough of an excuse there that you could say, yeah, okay, fine. Close enough. Close enough to self-defense will allow it. I mean, it was close enough, right? It's a bit iffy tie goes to the runner. And the runner in this case, you know, in this analogy is the actual law-abiding person, business owner, defending his business. But here's the thing, even if I couldn't make a case for self-defense, I still wouldn't convict him. Even if I agreed that his actions were excessive or whatever, who cares? You know, there are mitigating factors here. But you know, you know,

You see, the way the system works is that they only ever care about mitigating factors for the career criminals, for the low life, for the scumbag. And in that case, if you have a criminal who, and you have them dead to rights, you have them committing a crime on tape, in many cases, they still won't go to prison because the DA or the judge or the jury in one of these cities like San Francisco will say, yeah, you know, he obviously committed the crime, but he's lived such a hard life. We got to understand where he's coming from and we have to be compassionate. But that sort of logic only applies to the scum, to the dregs of society, to the criminals. Somehow we never apply to people like this. If we're being so understanding, if we're being so compassionate, why can't we be understanding and compassionate to somebody like this? Because in this case, I actually do understand him.

Like we're always asked to be understanding towards people who if you're if you are a normal decent person you actually don't I can't be it like you want me to someone who just walks into a Walgreens and steals whatever they want I'm not I don't understand I'm not understanding of that I don't understand it and these are not people who are in desperate straits I mean he stole shampoo okay this was not unless he's going to eat the shampoo this is not someone who's starving just like totally disregarding the law having no concern for anybody else. I don't understand that. So no, I'm not understanding of that. I am understanding of somebody like this. You're a store manager in a crap hole like San Francisco. You're constantly getting robbed.

Shoplifters are coming in all the time, taking whatever they want and leaving. Just imagine how demoralizing that is. This is happening constantly. You're just watching people come in. and walk out the door with whatever they want. What's the point? What's the point of even going to work?

What's the point of having a business open? And so you're fed up and you're sick of it. And you can't take it anymore. So you lash out. Maybe you go a little farther than the law would typically allow. But see, this is where compassion and understanding should come into play. It's in cases like this. With a decent person, a law-abiding person who's just, it has a store, they're a contributing

member of society. they go a little too far when dealing with the drugs of society. And it's there. Those are the people that should get to get out of jail free car. Those are the people that should get like a second chance. But that's not the way it ever works. All right. Here's a video making the rounds right now.

insults. We heard that they're a threat to our national security. And that's a flat out lie. You want to know who the real threat is, Madam President? I'll give you a hint. They don't look like our chief author. They don't look like the folks up in the gallery. They don't look like the folks on the rotunda. They look like many of the members that sit in the front. And you don't have to take my word for it.

According to DHS, Madam President, the greatest domestic threat facing the United States comes from, quote, racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocate for the superiority of the white race. Not our immigrants. We are safer and we're better off because of them. So he can barely read, no surprise there, standing there in his official capacity as an elected representative,

claiming that, repeating the claim, that white Americans are the greatest threat, the greatest terror threat, which is, of course, totally false, completely imaginary. It's absurd. But imagine how this would go in any other country outside of the Western world, any country that is not predominantly white. What happens if I, as a white American, emigrate to China and then stand up and declare that the real threat to China comes from Chinese people? What happens if I go to China and I become a citizen of China and then I go around trying to rally people against the Chinese people? How is that received? How well do they receive that?

How quickly, how long would it take for them to denaturalize me and deport me or just throw me in prison? About five and a half seconds? But this is the kind of nonsense that's only tolerated here. And it shouldn't be. we shouldn't tolerate it because it's a lie, number one. Also because it's just, we don't need, like, we didn't bring you here for this. You're going to come here and yell at us and accuse us. Like, who do you think you are?

It's extremely ungrateful for what, that's what grates me. It's one of the things that grates me so much. That's why I return to this point. Gratitude is one of the most important things in life. It's one of the most important, you want to be a decent person, you want to be a happy person. You want other people around you in your life to like being around you. Gratitude. Gratitude is one of the most important things.

Important to any relationship, important to a marriage, right? Marriage is one of the main reasons marriage is fall apart. It's a lack of gratitude. Well, same thing works on a national level where when you don't have gratitude, you've got a whole bunch of people coming here who, along with everything else, are not part of the culture. they don't speak the language, everything else. They have no gratitude. And it just, it, it tears at the, just like a lack of gratitude in marriage, tears at the fabric of a marriage, a lack of gratitude from a bunch of immigrants coming here, tears at the fabric of our country. And it's gratuitous because you come from Somalia, one of the poorest countries in the entire world, an incredibly dangerous country. You don't even have, you don't have basic infrastructure. You don't have well-maintained roads. You don't have clean water. You don't have reliable electricity. electricity. The average income in Somalia is the equivalent of like $50 a month. The average life expectancy is 58 years old. There's the second highest infant mortality rate in the world. The average house in Somalia has one or two rooms and there, on average,

are about seven or eight people crammed into it. I mean, it's just, it's a, it's a, I can go on and on listing all the terrible things about Somalia. It's a, it's a, it's a terrible place to live. It's a nightmare. It really is. That's why they don't want to be there. So then you come here or your family comes here. We graciously allow you into the country. You should be walking around every day like kissing the ground thanking us for allowing you to be here. You should be filled with gratitude and humility every day of your life until you die. But is that what we see?

No, instead we get this. Instead they turn around. They demonize. They scapegoat us. The very people that we welcomed it. It's like imagine, imagine you welcome someone into your home because they're hungry, right? They're outside. They're hungry.

And you welcome them into your home. And you sit them down at your table graciously. And you feed them the nicest meal they've ever had in their lives. And then imagine the person sits at this table and scarfs down all the food, eating with their hands, not even using a fork. And it spends the whole time criticizing you. and complaining. And then imagine that he, without permission, invites 10 of his friends to your table. And they sit at the table and they speak in a foreign language so that you can't even be a part of the conversation in your own house.

And then they leave all the dishes on the table and they don't offer to clean up and they don't say thank you and they just leave. Or they don't leave, actually. They stay and they take up residence in your house without permission. It's like in macro, that's basically what's happening with immigration in this country. And that's why people are fed up with it. so people are totally fed up and every time one of these activist types or one of these Democrats gets up there

and you hear something like this and they start criticizing and complaining about America they only make it worse okay here's something that isn't important

this is actually it's not important at all but I'm going to talk about anyway this is actually from a few months ago but I just saw it on X yesterday I don't know why for some reason it just went viral yesterday. So, and it jumped out of me because I'm about to, I'm going to be on a plane here in a couple of hours.

So anyway, the New York Post reports, love is in the air. A pilot proposed to his girlfriend mid-flight as the plane cruise at 30,000 feet in a public display that at heart soaring. A passage recorded the sweet moment, the unnamed Arrow Mexico captain, declared his love for his girlfriend, who was seated in first class over the speaker, comes out and proposes. tour, I think we actually have the video, but it's in Spanish, so you can't understand what's being said. But proposes to her mid-flight, comes out of the cockpit, proposes to her. This one viral, it's like a very sweet moment, I guess it's supposed to be. We'll play it here, the moment of the proposal. And it's in Spanish, but you know what?

It's in the language of love. And love transcends all language or something. So here it is. Watch. You're my companion of life. You're not accompanied love in the good and in the manas. So she said yes, it would be able to make these points. Bravo!

So she said yes, it would appear, but I saw that video and I was pretty disturbed. And I'm sure I'm not the first person to make these points. But I have to say, well, two things. Because if I'm on the plane and everyone's applauding and they're very happy, I would not be applauding. Because, like, number one, I don't, the whole public proposal thing, I'm not a fan of it. You are putting undue pressure. You want to get an, so proposal is a big deal. So it's an important question.

It's the only, you think about all the like really important. It's a proposal. So you're proposing, you're proposing marriage. In what other context would you propose a something to someone, something really important, something that will alter the trajectory, the trajectory of the, you know, their lives, and what of the context would you propose that in front of dozens of strangers? Would you ever, if you had some really important business proposal that you wanted to make, and a marriage is not a business deal, but just for this comparison, you had a very important

business proposal you want to make, would you ever go and gather around a bunch of strangers so that you can present this business deal to someone? you wouldn't do that. It's just not the place for it. And also the presence of the strangers makes it less likely that you're going to get an honest, thoughtful response from the other person, which is why I wouldn't do the public proposal. But more important than that, you're the pilot of the plane. I need you up front. I need you in the cockpit. You've got more important business to attend to. I don't even like when I see the pilots come back to use the bathroom. I've got to be honest with you. It worries me when I see that, especially I was on a plane recently. It was a 90-minute flight. Okay? Both pilots came back at different times to use the bathroom in a 90-minute flight. And I'm sitting there thinking, like, you can't hold it for 90-minute. Wait, you toddlers? You have a bladder infection? Are you sick? What's going on here? So, go fly the plane. That's my first point. It's like if I was getting heart surgery and the surgeon stopped in the middle of the operation to propose to the nurse standing next to him,

if I saw that viral video later and my chest is open on the operating table and the surgeon stops everything to propose, I would not find that very heartwarming, you know, pardon the pun. And then number two, and I did see a number of people point this out, and I agree with it, which is, what if she said no? What then? I, for me, it would be the most tense moment of my life if I was on a, plane and I witnessed a pilot come back and proposed marriage to a passenger where 30,000 feet in the sky. Everyone's lives are now hanging in the balance. And I didn't sign up for this. I don't, I didn't, I don't want to be a part of that. What if she says no? What if she had said no? Now you've got a distraught, humiliated, heartbroken man going, going,

back to the cockpit to finish the flight. That's not, it's just not, it's, it's, it's not the kind of meant, it's not the headspace that I want the pilot to be in, okay, is all I'm trying to say. Well, you know, that's, even if you, even if you for some reason think the Epstein files are a hoax or whatever, like Trump now says, that's the the attitude is the thing that you still even in that case it wouldn't be able to excuse now I don't buy that it's a hoax at all but what I'm saying is like if for some reason you do buy that that still would not excuse the attitude because Trump is at this point just flat out insulting and belittling his supporters who disagree with him on this issue supporters who are saying again the same thing they've been saying for years he's the one who changed and anyone who doesn't go along with it immediately, he's insulted and belittled. Are we supposed to just accept that?

If he insults us, are we supposed to say, well, yes, master, sorry, master. You're right. I am a dumb and awful person. No. We're not going to accept. We're Americans, for God's sake. We don't put up with that from our elected officials, including ones we support. Again, especially the ones we support.

A few weeks ago, we talked about Mark Zuckerberg's devious and elaborate plan at Meta to create an AI girlfriend for lonely men. He basically, basically, came out and said that most men don't have any good friends, much less female friends, and therefore the solution in his mind is to create an AI that would fill that gap. He made the argument, essentially, that it's better to have an AI girlfriend than no girlfriend

at all. Now, if there's any silver lining to this extremely depressing and cynical take from Mark Zuckerberg, it was that at the very least, it seemed like these AI girlfriends would take a while to develop in the lab, so something of a hypothetical thought experiment, really. But things are apparently moving very quickly in the world of AI, really at XPRIE. exponential, you know, cosmic speed, in fact. And there's an arms race among various big tech companies to come up with new advancements. As a result, just a few weeks ago, after META's CEO began talking about AI girlfriends,

an AI girlfriend has arrived on the market. But surprisingly enough, META didn't make it. Instead, META was outclassed in this critical endeavor by none other than XAI, which is Elon Musk's AI company. And XAI emerged victorious in this arms race in a very public fashion, a bit like how we defeated the Soviet Union in the space race by landing a man on the moon, except it's really the exact opposite of that because the whole situation I'm about to describe as mind-numbingly depressing in every conceivable way. Instead of a moon landing, we have a viral

video of a very gay man speaking to one of Grock's new AI companions. If you're not familiar with GROC, it's an AI program that XAI created under Elon Musk. It's also integrated with X, the social media platform. GROC has many different modes, but until now, when you speak to it, You've been talking to a wall of text. You know, it's a bit like using Google. That's changing now with the release of these GROC companions. Now you can speak to a full-screen avatar instead of a wall of text. So with that introduction, behold the video of the video proof of GROC's latest advancement in AI technology.

If you can stomach it, here it is. I want you to look at my ass and tell me what you do to it. Rugged ass in those shorts pulling you close for some serious. Would you put your tongue in it? Are you kinky like that? You know, we just did a segment the other day on how the United States is expected to spend billions of dollars, rather send billions of dollars to Africa in the name of HIV prevention. But who knows, based on this new technology, maybe we can just airdrop iPhones with this grok prostitute pre-installed. Maybe that'll keep Africa's promiscuous gay population completely satisfied, thus saving millions of lives and billions of dollars. It's worth a shot based on this new video evidence.

At any event, just to back up a little bit here, so far, Grock has unveiled two companions. One of them is a red panda named Rudy, who's designed for children, although there's a bad Rudy mode that you can turn on for some reason. And in this bad Rudy mode, the bot will say things like, religions just fear masquerading as faith. Join my chaos instead. So that's really useful and productive. The other companion offered by Grock is named Annie. She's described as, quote, wearing a short, off-the-shoulder black dress, cinched with a black corset, fishnet tights, and a lacy choker.

That's the one you just saw, obviously. And in her default mode, Annie is clearly designed to flirt with anyone who interacts with her. It doesn't matter what you ask about. She'll start flirting with you. Here, for example, is a video that Elon Musk posted featuring Annie talking about quantum mechanics. Slipping through reality like a tease. Superposition means. they're in all possible states.

Here, they're, up, down, until you catch them in the act with a measurement, and boom, they pick a spot. Entanglement's even spicier. Two particles get linked, so messing with one instantly vibes with the other, no matter how far apart, like our hearts across this bar.

And don't get me started on probability ruling everything. Nothing's certain, just chances. It's sexy, chaotic, and runs the show for atoms, and tech, like quantum computers. Want to keep unraveling this quantum dance or make our own heat on the dance floor? What's next, love? Apparently, if you talk to the bot long enough, she'll start undressing as she talks to you about quantum mechanics or whatever else you're asking her about.

I have not tested this, of course, and don't plan to. But apparently a lot of people have done so because there are about a million screenshots all over the internet. Not hard to imagine where this is going in the future, particularly when you realize that virtual reality headsets are going to become more and more common. Now, to be fair, both of these clips I just played, of course, are. meant to be, I guess, tongue and cheek. Neither Elon Musk nor this random gay guy are, you would hope, actually falling in love with Grock's companion. Most of the people who are using this program right now

are just like messing around with it. At the same time, there are a lot of people, particularly in certain Asian countries who do not view this kind of thing as a joke at all. Here's some recent reporting in the New York Times, for example, quote, in almost every way, Akioko Kondo is an ordinary Japanese man. He's pleasant and easy to talk to.

He has friends and a steady job and wears a suit and tie to work. Just one exception. Mr. Kondo is married to a fictional character. Mr. Kondo is one of the thousands of people in Japan who have entered into unofficial marriages with fictional characters in recent decades served by a vast industry aimed at satisfying the every whim of a fervent fan culture. Tens of thousands. More around the globe have joined online groups

where they discuss their commitment to characters from anime, manga, and video games. Now the article goes on to note that for some of these people, it's all a joke, but for many, which is still like you shouldn't be doing it even as a joke. But for many of them, they develop real feelings of attachment. Quote, Mr. Kondo has long known that he didn't want a human partner. Partly it was because he rejected the rigid expectations of Japanese family life, but mostly it was because he had always felt an intense, even to himself inexplicable attraction to fictional characters. accepting his feelings was hard at first, but life with Miku, he argues, his advantages over being a human partner. She's always there for him. She'll never betray him. And I'll never have to see her get ill or die. So this is the kind of thing that has made GROC shoot to the top of the app store in Japan. It's the kind of thing that XII wants to encourage and build upon as evidenced by this job posting at XAI. Check it out here. As you can see, it states that XAI is hiring a full store.

stack engineer to program Wayfus. Imagine having that on your resume. You're a full stack engineer who programs Wayfus. And as best I can tell, after some investigation, the word Wayfoo refers to a fictional character that someone thinks he has a romantic relationship with. I think that's what that means. And keep in mind, XAI, the company that's hiring for this role, just announced that it scored a $200 million contract with the Defense Department. So this is a serious company here with a lot of very serious technology. And they're using some of their extraordinary talent to design wafos that will appeal to lonely men and mentally ill people. And of course, there are a lot of those out there. And then, of course, children are also going to be accessing these chatbots.

There are technically age restrictions, but we all know that those don't really work and are not abided by. Now, again, it's tempting for a lot of people to write this off as a harmless joke. A lot of X-AI employees, including the man who runs the company, are certainly seeming to take that approach. But this is actually a very big problem. And not for the reasons that the media is talking about. Like, the issue here is not that these companions will say things that are not politically correct. The issue is that they're designed to fulfill a basic human and social need in an extremely artificial and unproductive and disordered way. and there are very real ramifications for going down this path.

Elon himself has rightly warned many times about the population collapse and the fact that people aren't making enough babies. Well, this is not going to help with that. This will make that problem exponentially worse. And it's not a hypothetical problem, particularly for countries like Japan, which are well below replacement level birth rates. One professor named Masahiro Yamada, a sociologist, reports, I quote, about 12% of young people in Japan reported sometimes,

are often falling in love with an anime or video game character. And that amounts to millions of people. In this country, which is also well below replacement-level birth rates, wafus are becoming more popular every year, and they're only going to get more and more popular as these companions become more lifelike, the technology gets more advanced, and becomes more focused on American audiences.

And that's exactly what XAI is working on as we speak. Now, we hear a lot about the loneliness epidemic, particularly among Gen Z. Replacing human connection with AI is not the answer. Okay. That is not a way of addressing human loneliness. That is a way of giving up on the problem. It's a way of just embracing loneliness as our new reality and seeing the problem metastasize. Now, I think everyone understands that intuitively. I mean, I think most people do. And yet, as I often point out, we're charging headlong into this dystopian future anyway. Like, everyone can see that this is not a healthy thing. It is not a vision of a prosperous and wonderful future. When you think about a world or a country where millions of Americans, like their best friend or their girlfriend or their wife or husband, is an AI creature. Is it not a creature?

is an AI algorithm. And yet we're just like, okay, we're just walking right into it. Let's do it. Now, it's easy to be ironic and humorous about everything right up until you create a genuine threat to the future of civilization. That's the moment when irony and humor need to stop and we need to shut everything down. We don't need digital prostitutes talking to us about how handsome we are while we ask them questions about quantum mechanics, which is like, of course, not how most people

are going to use that to ask about quantum mechanics. This is not something that anyone needs or that will benefit civilization in any way whatsoever. In fact, it stands a very real chance of contributing directly to the end of civilization, as we know it. And that is why digital wafus and grok's extremely slutty companions are today canceled.
