Starting point is 00:00:00 Young men feel directionless, and one of the best answers to that problem is building something real. Start a business, learn a trade, create something new and useful. Take ownership over your own life instead of waiting around for permission from some corporation or government agency. The problem is that actually building a business is hard enough already. Then you run into the banking system. A lot of small business owners are profitable. They're growing and doing everything right. But big banks still bury them in paperwork and drag the process out for weeks or months, just to access capital they need right now.
Starting point is 00:00:29 More than 70% of small businesses need additional funding at least once a year. That's why Cardiff exists. If you want bank rates without the bank delays, go to cardiff.co slash Walsh for up to $500,000 in same-day funding. They funded more than $12 billion for businesses since 2004. The application takes less than five minutes. There's no impact on your personal credit. Businesses can get approved in minutes and funded the same day, which means instead
Starting point is 00:00:51 of wasting months fighting bureaucracy, business owners can actually focus on growing their company, hiring people, expanding operations, buying equipment and inventory. Banks try to lock out small businesses. Cardiff has the key. Big banks may not want to approve your business loan, but Cardiff does. If you've been in business for at least a year, pulling in $20,000 a month in revenue, apply now for up to $500,000 in same-day funding at cardiff.co slash Walsh. Again, that's cardiff.com.com.com. Real growth, fast funding. Cardiff, borrow better. Now, I admit that over the years, I may have engaged in hyperbole from time to time. I'm not going to say that I've committed the worst hyperbole of all time. That would be hyperbolic, but may have exaggerated for
Starting point is 00:01:33 effect on occasion. And so when I declare that somebody is quite possibly the worst leader of a city in the entire history of this country and possibly in the history of every other country, you may think this is one of those occasions of hyperbole. Indeed, the competition for the worst mayor title is so fierce, especially in recent years. And, There are so many esteemed nominees for the award, the Ugandan guy in charge of New York City right now being one of them, that it seems impossible to pick one specific winner. And yet, in spite of the stiff competition and the valiant efforts by guys like Mom Dani to claim the title for themselves, I still believe that the current mayor of Chicago, a bloated clown named Brandon Johnson, may, when all is said and done, go down as the worst mayor in the history of mayordom. and he is legendarily dreadful in ways that make him the perfect representation, a mascot, really, of what has become of the Democrat Party. And of all of Brandon's colossally clownish moments, perhaps his worst came just this past week.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Now, I'm going to read what he posted on Sunday. And as I do, keep in mind that this post was written and then published on X on the heels of a weekend where six people were murdered in Chicago, 39 others were injured in shootings. All of this, of course, was black on black violence, mostly related to drugs and other crimes. But Brandon was not thinking about that on Sunday. Instead, he was focused on something else, something totally imaginary.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Quote, for too many transgender Chicagoans, the sense of belonging they deserve in their city has been denied by exclusion and barriers to opportunity in spaces that should feel safe and welcoming. Since declaring a trans-femicide state of emergency, Our administration has strengthened the city's capacity to support LGBTQ plus Chicagoans. This framework builds on that work by centering on the voices and lived experiences of trans-Chicagoans to chart a path toward a safer, more connected city. Yes, you heard that right.
Starting point is 00:03:38 It sounded exactly like you heard it. Blah, blah, blah, blah, transfemmicide state of emergency, blah, blah, blah. Just drops it in there like it's a real thing. And then he continues right along as if nothing ever happened. And based on the implication contained in this post, it appears that a transfemicide state of emergency, whatever that is, has been ongoing for quite some time in Chicago. And everyone's just kind of missed it.
Starting point is 00:04:00 But now we know. So I had to look this up to make sure that it wasn't an elaborate prank. Turns out that, as advertised, Brandon Johnson first signed an executive order declaring an ongoing transphemicide state of emergency in 2024. And the order is entitled Executive Order Number 24 to Declaration of Transfemicide Emergency and Establishment of Working Group on Transfemicide and Protections for the Transgender and Gender Diverse Community. So what is transfemicide, you might ask, and why is it an emergency? These are good questions. And if you read on, the executive order explains everything. So here's what it says.
Starting point is 00:04:42 quote, whereas Chicago is the deadliest city in the nation for black trans women, whereas transphemicide, which is the killing of trans woman because of her gender identity, especially when motivated by trans misogyny, is an example of violence and discrimination which this city should work against, whereas the accurate reporting and tracking of hate incidents and hate crimes, including transphemicide, where the victim is black, indigenous, Latin, or a person of color, is essential to identifying trends and implementing effective measures to combat violence and discrimination, and whereas city governments seek to act swiftly and effectively to provide help and support for our residents and employees, now therefore, I, Brandon Johnson, do hereby order the creation of a working group. Well, it's an interesting document. The phrasing words like, you know, whereas, and I do hereby order, make it sound like some sort of magisterial decree, but then everything in between those words, transphemicized, Latin, gender identity, make it sound like the ramblings of a purple-haired 21-year-old gender studies major with a personality disorder. And in that way, it perfectly captures
Starting point is 00:05:53 Brandon Johnson's vibe and the vibe of the party he represents. So, according to this emergency declaration, they're very concerned about transphemicide, but in particular they're concerned about trans femicide that's motivated by trans misogyny. And to get even more particular, they're especially worried about trans femicide that's motivated by trans misogyny and that impacts a person of color, a Latine, not to be confused with a latrine, an indigenous person or a black person. Now, if you're genocided and it was a trans femicide but not trans misogyny, then you go to the back of the line. I mean, we'll still, we're still worried about you a little bit, but we'll get to you. But don't even bother complaining about getting
Starting point is 00:06:41 transgenicited if you're white. I mean, that would just be ridiculous, no matter how misogynistic your attacker was. All of this may seem incoherent and or redundant to you, but rest of short, it all makes perfect sense. And it's all vitally necessary, according to Brandon, because, and I quote, Chicago is the deadliest city in the nation for black trans women. Urgent measures are needed in response to this epidemic of violence. Working groups must be established. Emergency declarations must be issued. Somebody turn on the bat signal. Okay. We need. reinforcements. But wait a minute, you might ask, what exactly does it mean to be the deadliest city in the nation for black trans women? If you've been following the show for a while, you know
Starting point is 00:07:24 that trans-identified individuals have a much lower risk of being murdered on a per capita basis than nearly every other demographic group in the country. They have a much higher risk of suicide because they're in a constant state of war with their own biology. They're also a much greater threat to the public than the average person for the same reason. But in terms of being murdered themselves, trans-identified individuals are far safer on average than, say, straight white men. So how can there be a transfemicide emergency anywhere, much less than the Democrat stronghold of Chicago? How many, quote, black trans women are dying exactly in order to make Chicago the deadliest city in America for that group.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Does it turn out that Chicago actually is MAGA country after all? Have we all been giving Jesse Smollett a hard time unjustifiably? Do we owe him an apology? Well, let's take a look. In fact, let's try this as a pop quiz just for fun. Next time you're at trivia night at the pub, in case this comes up, now you'll know. Can you guess how many trans-identified people of any kind, not just Black were murdered in Chicago last year. Now, this is a city where more than 400 homicides took
Starting point is 00:08:41 place in 2025. Given that baseline and given that we're talking about a black trans femme genocide here, what's your best guess? In fact, let's extend this out to the entire state. How many trans-identified people of any race do you think were murdered in Chicago or anywhere else in the state of Illinois in the entire year of 2025? what do you think i mean this is a genocide remember a state of emergency the mayor has made a task force to deal with it so what's the number how many dozens or hundreds of trans-identified individuals have have lost their lives in this wanton slaughter 200 150 75 surely it must at least be 50 25 at a bare minimum right i mean it's got to be well as it happens after looking into
Starting point is 00:09:33 it, the answer is zero. Zero trans-identified people were murdered in the city of Chicago or anywhere else in the state in 2025. And by extension, zero black, quote-unquote, trans women were murdered in the city of Chicago in 2025. Yes, the city of Chicago has declared a state of emergency over a genocide of so-called trans people in which zero of those people were murdered. So this is the first genocide in history to kill zero people. If you're going to be targeted by a genocide, that's a pretty good one. Of all the genocides that have actually happened in history, if you have to choose one to be the target of, like, this is the best one you could hope for. Like, I'll take the genocide where nobody is killed.
Starting point is 00:10:26 I'll take that one. And, you know, I can make that determination because after scouring the public data, databases of the left-wing activist groups, HRC, and the Trans Remembrance Project, both of which extensively tracked the deaths of trans-identified individuals, there is not a single fatality listed in the entire state of Illinois for the past year. And believe me, if somebody identified as trans had died in Illinois, for any reason, if they died in a car accident or, like, slipped on a banana peel and hit their head, these websites would have posted about it, okay? in order to secure donations, both the HRC and the Trans Remembrance Project go out of their way to document every trans fatality they can find,
Starting point is 00:11:13 even though in every case the fatalities have one of four causes. Either it's a suicide or it was a random killing that had nothing to do with the person being identified as trans, or was a murder by a black guy who hired a prostitute and was furious to discover that she was really a he, or it was a death due to natural causes. That's it. Okay, they don't have a single case on their website that actually supports this fantasy of a transgenocide at the hands of white supremacist neo-Nazis. I mean, as the stats clearly show, and this is undeniable, a trans person is an order of magnitude more likely to kill a white Christian than to be killed by a white Christian. Because the latter basically never happens anywhere in the country at all.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Now, this is a point worth belaboring because it's both very dark and honestly kind of morbidly amusing at some level. So we'll start with the latest database of trans fatalities from the Trans Remembrance Project, which runs from November 1st, 2024 to October 31st, 2025. And they report that in total there were just 58 deaths of transidentified people in that one year period. And of those 58 deaths, 21 were suicides and 27 were violent deaths. Now, if you're up on your math, you might realize that 21 and 27 don't add up to 58. And that's because 10 of those deaths had nothing to do with anything. They were natural deaths.
Starting point is 00:12:48 The person just dropped dead from cancer or something like that. And I'm not kidding. They include deaths of old age and cancer in their tally of, 58 deaths of trans-identified people. That's how desperate they are to inflate the numbers. They're trying to make the case that there's a genocide. And so they include in their figures people who died of like heart disease. That's how fundamentally dishonest these people are, which is no surprise, of course. And one of those fatalities is Eli Stablint, Stablein, 49 of Tucson, who, quote, passed away after a long battle with kidney cancer.
Starting point is 00:13:28 I guess the kidney cancer was transphobic. But just think of how absurd all of this is at the outset. The people talking about a transgenocide are aware of only 27 violent deaths in total involving trans-identified victims. That's 27 people who were killed in the entire country, an entire year, in a population of over 340 million people. Now, according to an estimate from UCLA, there are 2.8 million Americans over the age of 13 who identify as, some classification of trans. So with just 27 homicides per year, that comes out to a per capita murder rate of 0.96 per 100,000. For comparison, the homicide rate for black men in the U.S. is 46 per 100,000. For white men, it's 5.7 per 100,000. For Asian men, it's 1.5. For black women,
Starting point is 00:14:21 it's 7.8. For white women, it's 1.9. The only demographic group in the country with a lower per capita murder rate than trans-identified individuals is Asian women at 0.5 per 100,000. That's it. Everybody else is getting genocided at a far higher rate. So if there's a genocide of trans people with a 0.96 per 100,000 murder rate, then there's a, then the genocide of white men is like unfathomably worse statistically. But the statistics get even worse for the trans activists. When you look at how precisely these people are supposedly getting genocided,
Starting point is 00:15:05 and this is something that they really don't want you to do, so I'm going to do it. Here's one trans-identified individual on the list, a man dressing as a woman, and using the name Camorah Woods, who you can see right there. Note that this person was not killed in Chicago because, again, no trans people were killed in Chicago last year. This story comes from Indianapolis, which is close enough, I suppose. Now, according to the Trans Remembrance Project, Kamora Woods, quote, loved animals and making people laugh. She had a big heart lit up the room around her and was and was proud of who she was as a transgender woman. Of course, air quotes around her and she, you know, needless to say.
Starting point is 00:15:44 So there's not much information there as to how exactly poor Kamora met his violent end. And that's odd, given that the whole point of this project is to expose. a trans genocide. You'd think a lot of details would be forthcoming to expose the white supremacist menace, but they don't include any details at all. So I went looking for them, and I discovered to my shock the following information from the local Fox affiliate. Quote, Woods was found half naked in her bedroom shot in the head. Court documents detail how a detective identified a suspect by using a fingerprint on a condom wrapper selected at the scene and matched 23-year-old James Wallace, a convicted felon with an active warrant for allegedly tampering with his GPS monitor in November.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Security video from the Scarborough Lake Apartments showed a woman getting out of Woods's car and entering her building at 2.14 p.m. on June 25th, according to court documents, at 241. Another vehicle entered the property, later discovered to be a lift ride and dropped off a man believed to be Wallace. But only 17 minutes after the man was seen entering the building, he walked back out and left the complex alone. Documents said that Wallace told police he knew Woods from local bars and clubs and found her contact information online. Investigator said Wallace had also pawned the victim's cell phone. When they brought him in for questioning, he said that he didn't want her to call for help. He denied knowing Woods was transgender. Now, hearing this, we all know what James Wallace looks like, but in case there's any doubt, here you go.
Starting point is 00:17:12 this is why they don't provide any details about any of the people who are actually committing this so-called genocide, transgenocide, that doesn't exist. In the rare cases where it's a legitimate murder as opposed to an accident, trans-identified victims are prostitutes who are getting killed by black men. And those black men are usually upset to discover that the prostitute is actually a man and not a woman as advertised. And so they start shooting and stabbing. And in some cases, they start robbing too, although that was probably the plan all along, regardless of whether the prostitute was secretly a man or not.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Well, let's not get hung up on the details. And this is the part you're not supposed to say out loud. If we actually arrested all of the people, what few of them exist, who are committing this fake transgenocide that the left is always talking about, we'd be arresting black men and basically only black men. And the more of the left blames Donald Trump's rhetoric and transphobia, the more of the left blames Donald Trump's rhetoric and transphobia, the more of the more. obvious it becomes that they want you to ignore this very obvious fact. Kamala Harris voters are killing people constantly and occasionally a trans-identified person is thrown into the mix in the name of diversity. I mean, diversity is our strength after all. And more importantly, to the extent that trans-identified people are getting murdered and, you know, it's happening very, very rarely, they're not
Starting point is 00:18:34 being hunted down because they identify as trans. They're being killed in domestic disputes by people they've allowed into their homes, often under false pretenses, which is the exact opposite of a genocide. In a genocide or a transfemicide, a group of people is exterminated because of some identifiable characteristic in a systematic fashion. What's happening to the two dozen or so trans-identified murder victims is not remotely systematic. They're basically very unlucky people from a statistical perspective. And more often than not, they're inviting their killers into their homes in order to have sex with them for money, and usually they're lying about their gender. This is one of the most dangerous professions imaginable, and you're making it considerably more
Starting point is 00:19:18 dangerous for yourself by lying to your customers who are going to be understandably upset when they discover the truth about the situation. Consider the very similar case of Tahiri Broome, 29 years old of Southfield, Michigan. He's also on the trans remembrance list Watch this news report and see what you notice. It's been four days since the family of Tahiri Broome, who also went by Tokyo, learned about her brutal murder while visiting Michigan. It's really like it got my whole family and like a uproar. Like it's like one of those things.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Like you don't know what to feel. Like you want to be angry. You want to be sad. You want to cry. You want to sprint. You want to do just a big ball of emotion. Even after the arrest of the person, police believe is responsible Robert Ridges III. There are still a lot of questions going through her aunt Patricia Bender's mind.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Like you just want to know why, like why did you do that? Why do you feel like she deserved for that to happen, you know, and then that way and that magnitude. Being that they called them, that, that brought some peace. Um, well it's like, it don't take it with pain. Bender says her niece loved making people laugh was full of energy, confidence, and loved Nikki Minaj. funny, smart, like one of those people that could walk into the darkest room and find some light in it. She's hoping people see Broom in that bright light instead of focusing on what she did for work. It doesn't mean that that person was a bad person. She was never a bad person.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Southfield police say they haven't ruled out the possibility that Broom was targeted. The suspect made 33 calls to sex workers, including black transgender women like Broom. He knew, I believe it was possibly maybe even a motive of a robbery as well, because when he was interviewed, it turned out he didn't have any money. So, you know, how is he going to pay for services, if you will? And so, but he's carrying a handgun. So they all use the man's fake pronouns and pretend he was a woman. And to keep the illusion going, the news station also goes out of its way to hide relevant details from the audience. In that entire segment, which runs for several minutes, they never get around to explaining the circumstances.
Starting point is 00:21:29 of the murder. They vaguely imply the victim was a prostitute, but they're not clear, and they certainly don't describe the potential motivation of Robert Ridges III, the 28-year-old black man that police arrested. So this is what I was able to glean by looking around for a bit. This is from the local prosecutor's website. Quote, Oakland County prosecutor Karen D. McDonald charged Robert Ridges III, a 28-year-old residence of Southfield with second-degree murder carrying concealed weapons and weapons felony firearm in the death of Tihiri Broom, a 29-year-old transgender woman and sex worker. The victim's name given at birth had been Jamal Broome.
Starting point is 00:22:03 Ridges met Broome through a commercial sex advertisement, and the two met up February 9 near Ridge's apartment. In Southfield, following an argument, Ritches is alleged to have shot Broome. Now again, we can all piece together what happened here. This is the kind of homicide that, according to the mayor of Chicago, constitutes a state of emergency. Never mind the fact that precisely zero homicides like this
Starting point is 00:22:25 have even occurred in this city in the past year, never mind the fact that every weekend dozens of people are shot, mostly in black on black shootings, on the streets of Chicago, according to the mayor of Chicago, the real emergency is that black men are killing black prostitutes when they discover that those black prostitutes are really also black men. Now, the rest of this list, I have to say, is really pushing it. Here's one example of a violent death of a trans person, for example. This is a man using the name Blair Sawyer. and according to the Trans Remembrance Project, Sawyer died violently and was someone who loved dragons and bike riding. What they don't tell you is that Sawyer was run over while he was riding his bike.
Starting point is 00:23:07 So this was clearly a random and unfortunate accident, the kind that happens every day to cyclists in this country. But according to trans activists, quote, until the driver is found in the details surrounding the accident or incident are clear, we can't assume that this was unrelated to Blair's identity. We don't know. Yes, they're categorizing this death as anti-trans violence because in their minds it's possible that the driver ran over this man because he could see from a mile away that he identified as trans. I mean, they have no basis for believing that whatsoever. There's no evidence to suggest that the driver could have seen any signs that this person identified as trans.
Starting point is 00:23:48 But other than just like assuming that if someone's a cyclist, they must be gay or trans, which, you know, I mean, you could argue that this person. that's an assumption you could make. But in the eyes of trans-activists, whenever any trans-identified person for any reason dies, the presumption is that maga transphobes are responsible. If a trans person got hit by a train, they would tell us that they can't rule out the possibility that a train conductor was a transphote. This is how they think, and it's how the mayor of Chicago thinks as well. They also list somebody named Katoria Banks with a Z.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I'm sure that was this Christian name, on their list of trans-identified people who violently died without mentioning that Banks and his brother were shot during an attempted carjacking in Atlanta. Again, no indication that the carjackers were looking for cars owned by gay or trans people, but because a violent act happened to a person who identifies as trans, they claim it was a targeted attack.
Starting point is 00:24:44 And they included in their statistics. Now, none of this is new. Just a few years ago, the Biden White House publicly mourned the death of an indigenous, queer, non-binary environmental activist known as Tortugita, whose real name is Manuel Tehran. And according to HRC, Tortugita, Tortugita, I guess, Tortuguita, let's just call them Torto, was, quote, shot and killed by Georgia State Troopers in Atlanta, Georgia on January 18, 23, during an ongoing protest alongside other self-described forest defenders protesting against a proposed
Starting point is 00:25:21 $90 million $85 acre police training facility deemed cop city by activists slated to be built in the South River in Atlanta. On the morning of the 18th, police were executing a raid of the camp to knock down structures and remove the protesters. During this process, a state trooper was shot and wounded and Tortu was killed. Now, you can go look up that paragraph right now on the HRC website. It's still there. Again, as you've probably noticed, they're short on the details. instead of explaining why this guy was shot, they write, quote, Tortu's death is at least the seventh violent killing of a trans or gender non-conforming person in 2023 and the second in Georgia in six weeks.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Now, what's admitted is that Tortu fired four times at police officers with his nine-millimeter pistol striking a Georgia state trooper. Yes, he shot a police officer, and they simply don't mention that. That's how flagrantly these people are willing to lie. in order to cook the numbers on this fake genocide. Now, meanwhile, Brandon has, you might think, bigger problems to worry about. Now, of course, literally any problem is bigger
Starting point is 00:26:32 than the transgenocide, given that the transgenocide doesn't exist. The potholes all over the city are a bigger problem than trans people being murdered. In fact, they're a significantly bigger problem. The potholes on just one stretch of road are so bad that CBS News Chicago did a whole report on them a couple of months ago. Residents of the city have complained about the road for years. They have trouble getting to work because their cars get damaged. It's dangerous.
Starting point is 00:26:59 It's a total state of disrepair. And yet Brandon can't even fix that problem and doesn't care to. He's also about to lose the city's football team, which is preparing to relocate its stadium to Indiana, which it cannot be overstated is a massive financial loss for the community that will surely proved disastrous for many local businesses. These are the kinds of problems that the mayor is supposed to solve, but Brandon Johnson doesn't think about them. Much less does he worry about the 40-plus shootings that commemorated Juneteenth weekend. The city is hemorrhaging rich people and corporations, including Ken Griffin, who fled Chicago due to the violence and took his hedge fund with him. But Brandon is focused on his reparations task force instead. And on his delusional
Starting point is 00:27:46 idea that you can't arrest your way to public safety, even as his personal armed security detail costs $30 million a year for the taxpayer. He said that if you use the term illegal aliens, then you also think black people should be called slaves, a line that makes no sense, but you could tell he rehearsed it several times in the mirror and is really proud of himself. Watch. We don't have illegal aliens. I don't know if that's from some sort of sci-fi message that you wish have had. Well, listen, the legal term for my people were slaves. You want me to use that term to? So look, let's just get the language right. We're talking about undocumented individuals that are human beings. The last thing that I'm going to do is accept the type of
Starting point is 00:28:28 racist, nasty language to describe human beings. Yes, we absolutely want to refer to black people as slaves if you're talking about black people who are indeed slaves. And there are quite a few black slaves today, most of whom are in Africa. It's completely appropriate to use an accurate description of a person's legal status. It's not even an endorsement of that status, obviously. And by extension, yes, it is completely appropriate to use the term illegal alien, which he thinks is a sci-fi term because he's illiterate. This is one of those idiotic expressions you see on lawn signs. No person is illegal. And then they'll say you have to call them undocumented. but if a person can't be illegal, then how can a person be undocumented?
Starting point is 00:29:14 That doesn't make sense. It's incoherent and dumb. So we should keep saying what's true, which is that illegal aliens, illegal aliens don't belong in this country. That just happens to be the case. And we should also keep mocking Brandon Johnson, especially because of his comments on the so-called sub-minimum wage. Watch. We've passed paid time off. Yes, we've abolished the sub-minimum wage that has its vestiges.
Starting point is 00:29:39 tied to slavery and black and brown women being forced to make ends meet off of less than $35,000 a year. That's an injustice. Now what he's saying isn't even true. There's no sub-minimum wage. If a tipped worker doesn't make the minimum wage after tips, which is rare, then the employer is obligated to make up the difference. And, you know, that wasn't the case during slavery or in the immediate aftermath of slavery.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Now you're guaranteed a minimum wage. And are you guaranteed more than $35,000 a year? No, nobody is. But that's a livable salary. And you're certainly not a slave because you're getting paid and you're choosing to do this work. And since we're doing a Brandon Johnson greatest hits episode now, I guess, we can't forget that Johnson also blamed the constant shootings in Chicago on Richard Nixon. Watch. So, yeah, it is personal. Black death has been unfortunately accepted in this country for a very long time. We had a chance 60 years ago to get at the root causes and people mocked President Johnson.
Starting point is 00:30:52 And we ended up with Richard Nixon. I'm going to work hard every day to transform this city. That's what it takes to build a better, stronger, safer Chicago and anybody step up. Maybe he's actually making the based right-wing argument here. And we've got Brandon all wrong. Maybe he's coming out against Nixon's efforts to desegregate the schools and urban centers in the country, saying, you know, it led to the current violence that we're seeing in cities like Chicago. Brandon is so dumb that it's hard to tell.
Starting point is 00:31:22 It's more likely that he's referring to the fact that Nixon actually tried to enforce the law against violent mobs. But who knows? And here's one more for good measure. This is from that cross-burning episode we discussed last week. Even when a reporter tells Brandon that a gay Asian leftist, burn the cross in a park in order to make a grand demonstration of how racist MAGA Republicans are. Brandon is not faced. He continues to act like the cross was indeed burned by a MAGA white supremacist. And he talks about how black people are still victimized to this day. Watch.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Merlin Lou, who was interviewed by NBC 5, who admitted to allegedly burning the cross in Grant Park. During that interview, he seemed to lack an understanding of the meaning behind burning a cross. and the implications of that? How concerning is that to you as mayor of obviously of a city with a predominantly black population? And do you think there needs to be more education around that? Well, look, I can't speak to his lack of or understanding of the gravity of what he's alleged
Starting point is 00:32:34 of having done. and, you know, again, it's a painful reminder of how hatred towards black Americans still permeates, you know, in our society. In case you're wondering how people in Chicago tolerate this, the answer is that they've given up at this point. Johnson has a 7% approval rating, yes, a 7% approval rating, which is the lowest ever recorded for any mayor of Chicago by far. Lori Lightfoot, who had both the look and leadership skills of Beetlejuice, only went as low as 27%. This is from M3 Strategies, which ran the poll, quote, 79.9% of voters disapprove of Johnson with just 6.6% holding a favorable view, a net favorability of negative 73%. 67% say crime is Chicago's biggest issue, outpacing high taxes and inflation. Issues like LGBTQ plus rights, 3%. and reproductive freedoms 4% rank among the lowest priorities.
Starting point is 00:33:40 So the mayor, seeing that nobody in Chicago cares about LGBT issues, decides to declare a state of emergency over a non-existent transfemicide, even though trans-identified people, are the only people who aren't getting shot to death in his city. Starting point is 00:35:13 The people who change communities rarely start by trying to change the world. They start by helping one person, solving one problem, leading one team. Small actions become meaningful work. Meaningful work turns into impact. at Grand Canyon University, students are prepared for that journey through academically rigorous programs designed to help them grow professionally, personally, and spiritually. While many universities are raising costs, GCU has kept tuition rates steady on a traditional campus for 17 years, honoring their commitment to making higher education more affordable and accessible,
Starting point is 00:35:43 but they're not stuck in the past. 75% of GCU's programs and facilities have been built in just the last decade. Summer is when a lot of people will start thinking about what's next. If you're exploring your next step, Grand Canyon University offers hundreds of degrees and programs designed to help you move forward with purpose. Whether learning on campus and Phoenix or online from anywhere, students join a community committed to leadership, service, and purpose. More than 132,000 students have chosen GCU for one reason. They want an education connected to real opportunities, real careers, and real purpose. Purpose is not something you stumble into.
Starting point is 00:36:20 It's something you pursue. Grand Canyon University helps students do exactly that. Grand Canyon University, private, Christian, affordable, nonprofit, learn more at gCU.edu. Now, what's important to understand through all of this utter stupidity is that the problem is not limited to Brandon Johnson. He's fun to mock, and we should mock him. But Chicago's dysfunction will continue long after he's gone. Really, we need to look more broadly at the city of Chicago itself, which is basically the first. manifestation of modern Democrat leadership in every conceivable way from the aesthetics,
Starting point is 00:36:58 you know, all the way down. And there's no better illustration of that than the new temple to Barack Obama that we've talked about on the show before, but it just opened a couple of days ago on the south side. Watch. So when you walk inside the Obama presidential center, the first thing you see is toward a more perfect union with a message from the president saying America has always been a work in progress. But you stop and listen and hear the president's remarks. Yes, we can. We all remember that anthem of his candidacy
Starting point is 00:37:34 that led him to the White House. And on the eighth floor is the Sky Room, the final stop in the Obama Presidential Center. It has sweeping views of the south and west sides of Chicago as well as Lake Michigan. But even more than that, these giant letters that are etched in stone are from a particular speech, the one he delivered on the 50th anniversary of the March on Selma.
Starting point is 00:37:57 And the architect said seeing these letters is like looking into his mind as he's writing the speech. What a glorious task we are given to continually try to improve this great nation of ours. Now there is no doubt, there are some missing pieces here, but he does actually confront some of his challenges in ways more than I thought he would. This is one part of his legacy, but finally this Obama Presidential Center is opening nearly 10 years after he left office. They love talking about the marches in Selma, but they really don't like talking about what Selma looks like today. I mean, that would be an interesting exhibit. Show people the cities where the civil rights movement was supposedly born and then show people what they look like today.
Starting point is 00:38:42 For full effect, the exhibit would occasionally have to fire random shots from a Glock handgun equipped with an illegal switch. Some people might die, but you know, it's art. And art is the most important thing. Yes, it's extremely narcissistic. And yes, the building is an abomination, you know, as we've discussed. I mean, if the assignment was to make an aesthetically pleasing temple, then they failed a million times over. On the other hand, if the assignment was to perfectly capture the vibe of the Death Star's Trash Compactor, then they kind of nailed it. If the idea was to make a presidential library that looks a little bit like a tower where an evil wizard might live, then hey, credit where it's due. But really, this hideous building is Chicago in a nutshell.
Starting point is 00:39:27 It's a grift in plain view, a way to launder money in exchange for influence via tax-deductible donations. It's an eyesore, a bureaucratic disaster, all in one. And all in the service of worshipping a washed-up party leader who nobody even pretends to like anymore. Everything about the temple's opening ceremony was nauseating, as you might expect, starting with the land acknowledgement from a woman who's drawing a $750,000 salary from donations to this bride factory. Watch. We'd also like to take a moment to recognize the original inhabitants of the land upon which we are gathered today. We honor the Nishinaabe, the Council of Three Fires, the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatwana.
Starting point is 00:40:15 nations. Now there's a lot to think about here, starting with the fact that the designers of Obama's temple with consent of the city sees 20 acres of public land in Jackson Park in order to build this monstrosity. So Democrats stole a lot of land in order to build a giant temple. And then when they build the temple with taxpayer sentences, they solemnly inform you that they're really sorry about stealing land hundreds of years ago. And by the way, This is the Chicago flag, which is flying at the Obama Temple. And you'll notice that there are several stars on it. The fourth star commemorates Fort Dearborn, which was the site of a massacre involving the U.S. garrison and the Potawatomi,
Starting point is 00:41:03 who were just honored during that land acknowledgement. Now, in August of 1812, hundreds of Pottawatami warriors rode alongside an American evacuation train, leaving the fort. and they were claiming that they were an escort. But the escort quickly became an ambush as the Pottawatami attacked wagons containing women and children and ultimately massacred dozens of them. It was a horrific, savage, unjustifiable, unprovoked attack that was typical of how the Indians conducted themselves. And now the same tribe that conducted this barbaric attack, this massacre at a fort that's
Starting point is 00:41:40 commemorated as a historical American settlement on the flag of Chicago is now being honored by the Obamas at their temple. You have to wonder why Obama and Valerie Jarrett didn't offer the temple to the Pottawatami. I mean, why not invite their descendants or the descendants of any of the other Indian tribes they mentioned up to the stage and hand them the keys to the temple? It's not like they don't exist. Plenty of people claim Potawatomi heritage to this day. Why are we thanking them for massacring children back in 1812 when we can go all the way and give them an $800 million temple where they can kill as many children as they want. They can turn it into a planned parenthood if they want to.
Starting point is 00:42:23 That would be appropriate for Obama. Why not let them do that? By the way, not to ruin the land acknowledgement mood with all this actual accurate history, but it should be noted that the Patu Atami were driven out of the area that is now Chicago in the 1600s. And they were not driven out by white people, the Iroquois, another native tribe, showed up and killed the Potuatami,
Starting point is 00:42:47 forcing them to leave. Because that's how things worked on this continent before Europeans took control of it. Indian tribes ruthlessly murdered each other and stole each other's land. So if anyone owes an apology to the Potuatami, it's the Iroquois. Take it up with them.
Starting point is 00:43:04 And the Pottawatami owe an apology apparently to us for, you know, massacring white settlers. Nobody at the Obama Temple is interested in any of this, of course. Instead, their primary concern appears to be plastering obscene, you know, images all over the place. It's not just outside. That's not just the appalling part. This is a scene from indoors. take a look at this. Now, supposedly the splotch of blue on the roof
Starting point is 00:43:38 consists of various words from Obama's speeches over the years. Nobody remembers any great Obama speeches because he didn't deliver any, so they just mashed them all together and splattered them on the wall. But really, if we're being absolutely honest here, and honesty is indeed the best policy, and, you know, speaking just from a purely medical standpoint,
Starting point is 00:43:59 it looks more like the view a veterinarian might have if she's inspecting a pig's anus. Now, it's quite possible that pigs' anuses are in vogue right now, but if that's the case, I'm certainly not aware of it. And that's to say nothing of the narcissism involved in having your own speeches painted onto the walls. I mean, as somebody who's done a lot of writing myself over the years and delivered a lot of monologues, a lot of speeches, I'm just trying to imagine how my wife would react if I suggested taking the text of my 10 best Matt Wall show monologues and covering the ceiling with them, like some kind of schizophrenic Sistine Chapel. And considering that my monologues are significantly better and more interesting than any speech Obama has ever given, which is a bar so low
Starting point is 00:44:48 that it's in hell, but still, I think it'd be more justified in that kind of self-celebration. And yet, it would still be a psychotic thing to do. And if my wife came home and I'm painting my own words on the ceiling, she would assume that my early onset dementia had finally taken a turn for the worst and immediately contact a nursing home and justifiably so.
Starting point is 00:45:11 In any event, as we proceed through the museum, the exhibits somehow get even worse, if you can imagine. Watch. I think this is probably my favorite exhibit in the entire place. We just move. The last two times President Obama has come to Chicago and visited the museum. He has paused extra long in front of the exhibit that describes the ten letters a day that he used to receive every day.
Starting point is 00:45:40 He received thousands of pieces of correspondence on any given day, and his correspondence unit would select ten letters that were representative of the letters that came in that day. Some were very positive, some were very negative, the issues vary depending upon the day, but they would pick out this representative sample. And then in the evening, as he was doing his work, he would pull out the letters and take a look at them. He wanted to read those letters because he always wanted to connect to the American people.
Starting point is 00:46:08 He wanted them to know that he saw them, that he understood their plight, and that he would offer his words of wisdom to them. Some of these letters make me back still. So each time he has paused to reread the letters, which he remembers from when they first came in, and to look at this beautiful film that narrates the letters and his responses. Then two times he's watched it, he's walked away and he says,
Starting point is 00:46:32 gets to me every time. And that's how he felt every night when he read the letters from the American people. Now at some point, I understand that you're talking about a presidential temple. So it's going to be a little bit of an ego-stroking session for the president that comes with the territory. But even with that standard in mind, this is pretty over the top. First of all, nobody believes that Barack actually read, much less responded to 10 letters a day from random people. The odds of that happening are 0%, which is why thousands of people aren't posting their Obama letters all over the Internet. It never happened. It's insulting to pretend otherwise, and the whole exhibit is embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:47:12 But the worst part is that Valerie Jarrett says, and I quote, he wanted to read those letters because he always wanted to connect with the American people. He wanted them to understand that he would offer his words of wisdom to them. Imagine writing into the White House complaining about how terribly everything's going. Then Obama writes you back, acting like he's doing you a favor and imparting his words of wisdom to you, which you desperately need because you're so stupid, whereas he went to Harvard. How many people receive one of these 10 letters from Obama's, or really Obama's intern, and became incredibly furious when instead of an actual response about, you know, how they're going to be able to afford health care now that Obamacare has demolished their private
Starting point is 00:47:54 insurance plan. All they got was some patronizing, you know, fortune cookie words of wisdom from a narcissist who's going to cry at the sight of his own letters 20 years after the fact inside a grotesque temple that he built for himself. Now, probably nobody had that reaction because he didn't read any letters and he didn't send any letters. It's all a photo op, a fake exhibit for a fake president. And for that reason, it's the perfect exhibit for Obama's Temple. And Obama's Temple, in turn, is the perfect addition to the skyline of the city of Chicago. No city is a better illustration of the perpetual rot that inevitably follows decades of one-party rule by Democrats. No mayor is a better illustration of their incompetence and their maliciousness and their clownishness than Brandon Johnson.
Starting point is 00:48:46 And for that reason, we should all be grateful that Obama's temple has opened in Chicago, looking as distinctively repulsive as it does. There lies a reminder of what we should resist with every fiber of our beings for as long as we can. There lies a structure that honors Indians who massacred white women and children while patronizing Americans with its absurd exhibit of pigs, anuses, and fraudulent letters. There lies the perfect monument to the Democratic. party. Never forget it or what it stands for. That's all the show today. Thanks for watching. Thanks for listening. Talk to you tomorrow. Have a great day. Godspeed. Last month, we judged Martin Luther King, Jr. not by the color of his skin, but by the content
Starting point is 00:49:36 of his character. American school kids spend a lot of time hearing about MLK and Rosa Parks. Have you noticed no one ever asks what Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery are like today? The legacy of the civil rights movement wasn't a racially harmonious utopia. It's hollowed out urban cores, hundreds of thousands of dead Americans, raped grandmothers, ethnic cleansing, entire neighborhoods. This month we survey first-hand accounts of the historic wave of non-violent crime, riots unleashed on this country by the civil rights movement, which caused more enduring damage on America's greatest cities than the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima, Nagasaki. Nagasaki. Who were the winners and who were the losers? What's the truth about redline, white flight, affirmative action? I want to miss the second part of our special on the civil rights movement, the looting of America.
