You know, America needs more heroes. So the Daily Wire is providing some. Our newest podcast,
America's Forgotten Heroes, is available now on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts. So go
subscribe and leave a five-star review if you like what you're here. America's Forgotten Heroes
contains seven action-packed episodes that will each drop daily. Our goal with these stories is to give
recognition where it's due because too many of them have faded into the obscurity of the past,
which is unfair and unwarranted. America's Forgotten Heroes is a trip that takes you back in
history to a time where language wasn't literally violence, where brave men paid in blood for the
freedom that many used to complain about microaggressions and pronouns and things today.
One such man was Ernest E. Evans, a World War II naval officer who fought in the Battle of Sumar.
In the battle, a small U.S. naval task unit was ambushed by a large Japanese fleet of 23 ships,
hell-bent on destroying the American Navy, though almost completely unprepared.
Evans and his men managed to attack the Japanese forces in one of the great great.
greatest last stands in naval history and just a dramatic and incredible story and a real
life story. Or take Frank Luke, a 21-year-old fighter pilot in World War I, young, talented,
arrogant. Luke sometimes butted heads with his peers and commanding officers, especially when
he disregarded direct orders and occasionally tended to fly solo. But he secured his spot
in history after shooting down 18 German aircrafts in 18 days. That is what we call efficiency.
Now two Air Force bases boast his name. I seriously cannot recommend it enough. Let's check
out the trailer now.
Hi everybody, I'm Bill Whittle, and I'd like to introduce you to seven men who have made
this country so exceptional. John Paul Jones, who sailed home from war 129 years after he sailed
into it, Frank Luke, the World War I fighter ace who drew his sidearm in a desperate situation.
Booker T. Washington, a man who came into the world as someone else's property and who left it
with a foolproof formula for racial harmony. Jimmy Doolittle, the perfect combination of
brains, guts, and skill running up his engines a long.
away from home. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, a man so profoundly wise that he could see the great
wheel of history revolving around him in real time. Ernest Evans, a U.S. Navy commander who's vowed
to never run away from the enemy, triggered the most amazing two hours in U.S. history,
and Dick Rutan, combat pilot, test pilot, and the man who nailed the last standing record
in aviation history with a little help from his baby brother. These are America's forgotten heroes.
And if you join me, I guarantee you will come out of these seven episodes as awestruck, proud, and grateful as I did.
So, in honor of our nation's independence, get ready to unpack some of the most exciting, untold history of the heroes who saved our country at some of its darkest hours.
