What's the league saying?
What should they do?
That's what today's show is all about.
Two days until the NFL draft.
You good, Mench?
I'm great, man.
Tucker roll that beat.
Fan Duel is a wonderful sponsor of this show.
I said it from day one.
I dabble in it.
I love it.
I love the app.
And with NFL GMs utilize it.
I hear you.
I hear everyone out there.
Yeah, I said Bailey one day.
I said, Reese the next.
I said, oh, interesting odds on plus 480 or whatever.
number ones. You're listening to the McShay Show presented by Fandul, and soon we'll all be listening
to all the names called in this year's NFL draft. But with Fandual, you don't have to just listen
because Fandual has all kinds of bets on where players will land. You know I love this stuff.
Not only can you bet on who will be drafted first overall, but you can also bet on whether a
player will go in the top five, top 10, and so much more. So if you don't already have it, be sure

Hey, listen, let's get this straight.
I'm talking to NFL teams every day, and I'm getting information that is from a
organization. We're talking about the other 31 teams. Then I'm talking to a GM and then I'm talking to
an executive and then I'm talking to a scout. And so there's just a lot of information flowing, right?
And so I may have, and I probably did get used on the Jets number two overall pick. I don't, I do care.
I'm not going to like hide from it and retreat. And I'm sure is shit not going to be stubborn
and not come back and say, hey, 10 days ago I had the right information. And that lasted about eight
days and for 48 hours, I think I might have been used as a friend of a former friend of this
to get out there because maybe Rvel Reese could drop some more interest in the number two
overall pick.
Who knows?
And it's not even about like, do you, well, all it matters is I get it right at the end.
It doesn't really even matter then.
It's a mock draft.
What are we talking about?
Fandle's is wonderful sponsor of the show.
I love the app.
Mench loves the app.
NFL GMs check in on the, what are the odds and all that?
And yeah, we have a sponsorship.
And so one has nothing to do.
There's church, there's state.
Promise you, okay?
That's number one.
Number two is both players made sense.
And I promise you this, the decision came down to Bailey or Reese.
And I know 10 days ago they were still kind of ironing out all those things.
So for 48 hours, we got misled a little bit, and we're back on it.
Today's show is not about the information, though I will share it.

Today's show is, feels like 10 days leading up to every draft match.
You and I get, like, thrown on this roller coaster of, all right, we've worked 360 days or 355 days watching tape, study and preparing, go to an All-Star Games, going on the Combine, all that stuff, get their draft boards.
Top 100's coming out tonight, right?
Yep.
Mock draft's coming out tomorrow.
They're two separate entities.
This is the mock draft.
what's going to happen.
And it's exciting and it's fun.
And some real good football conversations happen.
And you learn some different things about organizations and what they view.
So it's really all good.
But I don't want the stuff to get lost.
I don't want like the real to get lost in all this.
So let's today, I'll tell you what I'm hearing.
Okay.
And it's from NFL teams.
And it's what they think.
And they're calling and asking me questions.
And I'm asking questions, but mostly there.
And we're going back and forth.
so it's what they're talking about.
So hopefully if you're in it for that today,
you're going to get plenty of it.
But like, let's kind of remember this is what we do.
Right.
Is it the right thing?
Well, we make this decision.
So at number two, David Bailey is going to be the pick for the New York Jets.
Then at number three, it gets interesting.
We've all heard.
Oh.
Are you good with Bailey over Reese?
I would take Reese.
I would take Reis.
I would take Arvel Reese.
I think he's going to be a more dynamic explosive.
player, we'll see where he winds up landing. I think it's very important you have the right
plan for him, the right utilization of him. I think when 10 years from now, Rvel Reese is going
to be the better NFL football player, more dynamic, impactful defensive player in the NFL
than David Bailey. I obviously love both of them. They're both in my top six players, I believe.
I've got to go and look at the definitive board, but it's out. And you're looking at it. What do I
Bailey six. You have Bailey at six. Thank you. So six. I'm with you either one I like.
Of course. But if I'm, if I had to choose between the two, I would take Bailey. Okay. So now we're on to
pick three. Pick three, here's the information. Why does the love stuff leak in the last
hundred hours? Is it phony? Is it real? Jeremiah Love. Ownership is the word that I'm
hearing from every team we're talking. Here it's the owner. Yeah, yeah, I hear it's the owner too.
The owner wants Bidwell wants the, wants Jeremiah Love, but Monty wants Austin Fort, the general manager, wants whatever edge, assuming they stick.
What I do know and what I know everyone in the organization is united on, let's try to get a tradeout.
So for these purposes, we know it's, if they stick and pick, it's either love or it's the other edge, which it will be Reese.
So it's love or Reese.
Then you have the history.
Well, let's get into this.
You're Austin Fort.
Owner says, I love Jeremiah, I love.
But it's your decision.
I hired you to do your job, and that's what a good owner does.
Do your job.
Who is it?
Reese.
I'm taking the edge.
Are you worried about the history of?
100%.
We've brought in conversion players before Isaiah Simmons being a great example.
A day on Buchanan is a different deal,
but still, there's a third one that I keep forgetting.
Darius Robinson was the T-defense of tackle.
Yeah, sort of.
So there's been first round guys that have not been,
this is a specific role,
and they've tried to convert or use in hybrid hybrids
that have not been worth the value.
Doesn't factor in?
Oh, it does factor in.
I just think that running back at,
I mean, they have so many other issues
that running back at three is too rich for me,
As much as I really like the player, Jeremiah Love is the best player in this class,
I think edges are more valued for good reason.
They help you win football games quicker than a running back will.
And I don't know if they're built to really have Jeremiah Love come in and hit the ground running.
So to me, you take the edge, you take the safer pick.
My question for you, other than that, do you want to talk about whether you would take Love or Reese?
I want to know everyone in the world knows these guys want to trade out.
They want to trade back.
Would you take a less-than-market value deal to move back?
Because you might have to take that.
Absolutely within range.
What's range?
Give me a range.
So here's what I'm concerned about if I'm Monta-Aauss in Ford, okay?
I'm concerned that there's two offensive tackles that you believe can absolutely solve my problem.
And that's assuming that you believe both can in Francis Maui Noah and Spencer Fano, Miami, Utah, respectively.
It's draft.
We can't assume that everyone's watching.
We've got to make sure that we let everyone know.
So there's two offensive tackles that are sitting there atop the board, right?
And then you have the question of beyond that.
And looking at their situation, obviously, they just resigned Paris Johnson at left tackle.
We know that.
They brought in Isaac Suomalo.
Now you've got Elijah Wilkinson at right tackle and Oli Udo.
They need a right tackle.
We all know they need a right tackle.
Yep.
So, Maui Noah and Fano are both veteran, long-time veterans at the right tackle position.
24 starts for Fano, and Maui Noah is a three-year starter at Miami.
After Fano played his first year, I think it was 11 or 12 starts at left tackle.
Right.
So both are like, but there's Maui No.
The reason why these offensive tackles aren't in the Joe Alt range,
or you go back to like, we could go all the way.
way back, but is because Maui Noah could be a guard. You worry about that a little bit.
Better fit at guard. I don't think, I think he's a right tackle. So if you're asking me who I'm
taking, I'm moving back with the hopes of getting Maui Noah, but can I move past six?
Right.
So Tennessee, am I going to just move back one spot? Yeah, I'd do it. I don't care what you
give me. Right. If I don't want Reese and I want to move back. But then I'm still faced with him.
I take him out. I don't view it as too high. It's like if I need to solidify my
offensive line, but I do view it as this. There's Jeremiah Love, there's Rvel Reese, there's
Sonny Stiles, there's Caleb Downs, and there's Bailey in this class, and Bailey's gone.
So on my board, the best four players are still sitting right there. I'm taking Fernando
Mendoza out of this, obviously. Right. Jeremiah Love, Reese, Stiles, and Downs.
So who are you taking?
I'm taking Arvel Reese.
Okay.
I'm taking Arvel Reese because I'm not prepared.
I'm telling you I have this offensive tackle issue.
Yeah.
I want to move down and I'm taking a bad deal to move down,
but I can't move past seven.
So it's got to be Tennessee.
I can't move past six.
No.
I can move to five, but Giants aren't moving up.
Nope.
They don't need the edge.
Cleveland's retreating if they can.
Right.
But you got to assume Cleveland's going to stay at six.
So if you're comfortable with both offensive tackles, I can go to seven and I can go to eight.
I can't go to nine because if I let Maui Noah or Fano get to Andy Reid at nine,
I got to believe that they could take them even though they need an edge and a wide receiver.
Right.
They could take them.
Yeah.
So that's the move for Arizona.
At the end of the day, I think you just stay and take the second best player on my board at a premium position.
and that's R. Bell Reese.
And that's what you said.
So maybe that's what they decide to do.
Yeah.
Ownership throws a wrench.
Number four, Tennessee.
Here's the information.
It was Jeremiah Love.
Then it wasn't Jeremiah Love, right?
Is it Love again?
Are we back in Love?
No, I'm told it's Pass Rush or Sunny Stiles at number four.
Okay.
Yeah, Tennessee's number four is Pass Rush or Style.
And the Pass Rusher would be Bailey and Reef.
So in this situation, whether it's Arizona taking Reese at three or a team moving up, and Reese goes three.
If it goes Bailey Reese, then you're sitting there.
And I'm told it could be Sunny Stiles over Jeremiah Love.
That's the information right now.
Because of the Fred Warner in that system.
Everyone I talk to in the league is like, yeah, we view it this way.
But Sala is like, like, even her sort of like went into media.
head coach, it's about like build the defense around the off ball linebacker, right?
Yeah, you know what's kind of interesting about that?
What?
Is we keep hearing that the Giants are out on styles.
Maybe that's because they know he's not going to be there.
Maybe that's why the styles of Giants talk has all died down because now they think he's going for.
I don't believe anything right now.
I know.
I'm just trying to put all these things together and I hear you.
Like conspiracy theory-wise, I feel like Charlie Day and, uh,
always sunny in Philadelphia with all the threads connecting and all that.
The smart information is go back to, honestly, the combine.
Yeah.
And definitely go back to 10 days and prior when teams were still feeling this thing out rather than, you know,
ping pong and off of leaked information, but more often than not is leaked for a reason.
Do you like styles there?
No, I would take Jeremiah Love.
Really?
Yeah, he's the best player on my book.
board. I'm sitting at four. I've got a quarterback that now I can get I can throw him,
I can throw him a screen pass and pick up six. I can think I can get them involved in the
passing game. I go Pollard. We can keep each other healthy. I get it. I understand. But
the edge rushers are gone. Right. That's what justifies it. Right. And I've got,
I'm staring at Jacob Rodriguez and C.J. Allen and Jake Galdet in the second round.
Mm-hmm. Good players. Good players. Good values in that range. Yeah.
And I absolutely, you know how much I love Sunny Styles.
Got a third on my board.
But I got a young quarterback, man.
Would you get Cornell Tate there? Would you consider it?
No. No.
I'm kind of with you.
Because he's safer. He's going to be a really good player.
But I don't know that he's ever going to be this like A.J. Brown, J.S.N.
I don't think he's that.
It makes sense in this situation.
Like I don't love the running back that early.
But he's the best player in this class.
And the two edges that you would take.
I mean, if Reese or Bailey are there, we both agree that it's one of those guys, right?
Yes.
But in this situation, they're not there.
And as much as I love Sonny Stiles and think he's one of the top five players in the draft,
he's an off-ball linebacker.
I'd rather take Jeremy I love to, I think.
It does surprise me when you do this, though.
Because you're not as bad as Mel Kuyper who would never take a running back in the first round,
but this is early for a running back.
I've never had a running back number one on my board.
So, there you go.
So the Giants.
So the Giants.
This is the interesting part, right?
So here's the information.
The information is now all of a sudden, again, it's Jeremiah Love.
Right?
I've got to assume it's styles based off the information, despite where we're going.
So let's live in a world where it's Mendoza, Bailey, Reese, Stiles.
Okay.
board, okay? And also our top four players on the board. So you're sitting there at number
five and you're the Giants. No, not love. So love is still available. The number one player
is still. Right. You switch it because you believe Stiles is going to Tennessee,
even though we would go in a different direction. Correct. Okay. So Jeremiah Love is on the board,
right? Jordan Tyson, who just made this trip, is on the board. Caleb Downs is on the board,
right? Francis Maui Noah is on the board.
board. Here's the interesting part
for the Giants, okay?
I'm getting used to these new cameras, as you can probably
tell, if you're watching on Netflix or you're
watching on Spotify.
The red always means it's on, but there's
green on the other one, so I'm going to go green,
but now I'm back to red.
So I'm going to follow the red, so I'm retraining my
brain, so we're going to go red here. Wait, it's red?
There, but then we'll go a single shot back to
red. So here we go. So now
the Joe Shane part is fascinating, because
how much power does he ultimately have in this?
And Joe Shane, for all of his faults, managed the hell out of the 2026 NFL draft, okay?
Pick the perfect spot to go get Jackson Dart after Abdul Carter.
And I know all the nonsense that went on in the background, more than I'm a lot.
But they nailed it.
You were looking at another situation.
But you could also say, well, the last time they had two top 10 picks didn't quite nail it, Todd.
Tibodeau and Neil, right?
Yeah. So there's all that.
But now you've got to manage this thing because we know they like Jordan Tyson.
The Giants are not one of those teams that hide their interest.
They went out to Arizona for a second time sent Shane out there.
They love Jordan Tyson.
But there's also that downs factor at the safety position with Harbaugh, okay?
And I'm told they really like downs.
Then I'm told recently, and do we trust recent information, Jeremiah Love.
but you can't go Jeremiah Love and then Jordan Tyson
because Jordan Tyson ain't going to be there at 10
and I get news for you
Downs very well may not be there at 10
but could be better shot that he's there at 10
So if I'm Joe Shane
I'm looking at this from a managerial standpoint
and I'm trying to work with Harbaugh
and Harbaugh is from my understanding
getting the last trigger on things
but
what's our best one-two.
But I don't even know that you can look at it as a one-two,
because what's our best one.
That's what I'm trying to say.
Looking at our board, our situation, our roster.
Right.
Is it taking Jordan Tyson,
even though it's higher than what you'd like to at wide receiver?
Mm-hmm.
Is it taken down, Caleb Downs at safety?
Is it taking Francis Maui Noah at tackle?
I wouldn't do it.
Mm-mm.
Because I think you get four guys we talked about yesterday to fill one spot, figure it out, coach it up, or take another guy in the third and try to develop them.
Or is it, who did I not mention there?
I think you got them all.
Yeah, love Tyson, Downs, Maui Noah.
Yeah, it's love.
It's love.
Jordan Tyson, I love the tape.
I worry about the durability concerns.
It's too early.
Caleb Downs, I love the player, but for safety, that's just too early.
early.
So, and then Francis, I know, like, are we going to talk about the fact that he might have a
he has a reporting of a herniated disc?
And now there's just one more layer to that evaluation.
So, and again, like you said, there's bodies there.
They have players there.
Germaine Illuminauador is coming back a right tackle.
They don't need a right tackle.
They need a guard, I think.
Now, you could, you could fill that knee by kicking Illuminaw inside.
I understand all of that.
But then you have Jeremiah Love.
And you have a young redidback in Scataboo who's coming off an injury.
and has, you know, I think reckless is the wrong word for his running style,
but it is a very aggressive physical runner that's more likely to get hurt, unfortunately.
And I hope that's not the case, but, you know, that's the reality.
And you have this unbelievable talent at running back that can come in and help your quarterback
by not only improving the ground game, but also being a weapon in the receiving game.
And one of the things we've talked about with Jeremiah love that I don't think gets enough attention
is the leap that he made as a pass blocker over the last year.
He was so talented in 2024.
2025, he was a different person in pass protection.
He just got way better.
You're adding all of these things.
I mean, that just makes me more comfortable.
Again, the offensive line is not as big as a need.
Jordan Tyson, the injuries too early,
and Caleb Downs a safety too early.
So it comes down to Jeremiah Love.
I am absolutely positively 100% taking Jeremiah Love here at number 5,
and I'm going to make that the establishment.
The establishment is,
We've got a strong offensive line that we've been trying to build for years,
and we're going to line up and we're going to punch you in the mouth.
We got two backs that can beat you, and one's got four, three, six speed.
The other one is a pounder and is insane.
What a great complimentary backfield that could be.
And then we're going to take pressure off of Jackson Dart there,
and let's see who's available at 10.
Maybe it's still Maui Noah.
Maybe it's Fano.
Maybe it's downs.
Maybe it's downs.
We'll work that out later.
I'm taking the best player in this year's draft with the number five overall pick.
See you at pick 10.
Yep.
No question about it.
And honestly, that's what the – that is what the information is in the league.
Not necessarily that the Giants will absolutely take love at five, although it is the recent information.
But the information is more so he ain't getting out of the top five.
And remember Harbaugh and Baltimore had good backfields, and then he had injuries hit the backfield.
I mean, they lost multiple running backs in one season.
He might want to say, he's going to say to himself,
we need more than one or two.
We need depth there.
All right, so we get Cleveland at six.
We all know that they would like to trade back for the same thing.
And I've heard from Maui Noah to Fano to Proctor.
And I don't know if Proctor, like, Proctor could be the surprise
because Cleveland's capable of anything, the six overall pick.
There are people in the league that are a lot higher on Caleb Proctor.
Caden Proctor, Caden Proctor, not Caleb Proctor.
the defensive tackle from southeast Louisiana
who's probably going to be a top 100 pick around 94.
Love it.
Caden Proctor from Alabama
fits the analytical portion of it
with the Longer arms
and he did everything at the combine
and he is big and traits matter at tackle
and they're flying J to analytics
from DPDDepadesto to Andrew.
This is what they do.
Right?
but I'm not saying he's going to be the pick there.
It could very well be Maui Noah who didn't work out at the combine.
But it's going to be an offensive tackle if they stick there.
I don't even think I have to ask you who you would take.
You would take Spencer Fana?
Yeah.
And I wouldn't even look back.
You think he's the best offensive tackle in the class?
I think Maoina is.
I think honestly if I'm a gap scheme, if I'm like Power O,
I'm going to line up with Maui Noah.
If I want to be a zone, wide zone, and Utah's offense is wild, man.
Like, tackles pulling out on screens, and it was a wild ride.
Fano's also played on the left side.
So I like that aspect of it because I think they need a left tackle.
So, you know, it's not that I don't think Maui Noah can do that.
And it is an, it's abnormal for a guy with arms that are that short.
I mean, we talked about Will Campbell last year and how short.
his arms were, well, Spencer Fonnell's arms were a half inch shorter than Will Campbell's at the
Combine.
So that's what we're talking about.
But the athletic profile is of a left tackle.
The way he moves is like a left tackle.
We get Monk in there, like with Georgia.
Think about the Georgia offensive linemen that come out.
Actually test really well.
Bigger guys test well.
But we're talking about Baltimore.
We're talking about Baltimore.
Yeah.
Maui Noah.
Yeah, we're talking Maui Noah.
It's Maui Noah.
Yeah.
Glad we solved that.
That's one we can count on.
Yeah, but they can also trade out.
Right.
But yeah.
And they'll get their wide receiver later.
There will be a wide receiver at 24.
Those receivers are going to go, but they're going to go after the offensive tackles
and some of the edges and two safeties and all of that.
So there's that.
So we both agree.
As the GM, you've got to look at, okay, Todd, what do you need?
Munkin, that is, not myself.
I'm speaking of myself in third person.
Part person, yeah.
Yeah.
So Munkin, you want Mouin'i Noah, fine.
You get Mowinoa.
Got it.
That solidifies the offensive line.
Now we get to wide receiver at 24, right?
Right.
And there's going to be Casey Concepcion and or Denzel Boston
and or Omar Cooper Jr.
Yeah.
Those are the three names.
The A&ORs.
Those are the three A&ORs.
I mean, does it?
Do you say Omar Cooper Jr.?
Yeah, you did.
Yeah, those three.
So that's how they're going to manage this draft
is everyone's understanding,
and it's the right way to manage it.
So at seven, we get to Washington.
Stiles went three, right?
Yep.
Sorry, four.
So in this situation, we've got Mendoza going one of the Raiders,
obviously. Bailey, two to the Jets.
Three is Reese to the
Cardinals. Four is Tennessee
taking Stiles to be their Fred Warner.
Five is the Giants to love.
Six is Maui Noah. This is actually
how this thing could wind
up working out.
Seven is Washington. Sunny Stiles
is not sitting there.
Caleb Downs is there
and Carnell Tate
are the two. There's been a lot of
talk about Tyson there. I'm told
I was told a while ago
they're a Tate team.
Yeah, we're Tate guys.
Well, David Blow, if you look at,
I actually was looking into David Blow
and what he wants to do.
He's looking for physical receivers.
Guys like Carnell Tate,
I can simplify it for that.
The description of what he's looking for
in his first year's offensive coordinator,
surprise decision,
either a big mistake
or they got ahead of someone
who's going to be an absolute star in this league.
obviously pulling for the latter.
Yeah.
But he wants a big physical receiver.
Carnot, Tate is a big physical receiver, right?
Yeah.
And so that would be a perfect compliment to another former Ohio statewide receiver.
What would we do?
Because I'm told it comes down to downs and Tate,
but I want to give you the honest-to-God truth.
The last conversation I had was very authoritative.
And that was, this pick will be done.
defense. Quinn has got it. What's the word I want to look? It is, priority is too light a word. It is,
it's a demand. It's a mandate. It's a mandate. My brain doesn't work that well this week. It's a mandate
that we get that defense fixed and we'll give you the resources, but if it's Caleb Downs, then
it's got to be Caleb Down. Mansour Deland from LSU maybe? It could be. This is the information,
portion of it. In this
scenario, it would be downs
or Tate, but
I'm told defense is going to win out
with this pick. So I would expect, if
Sunny Stiles is not there, it's going to be
downs. Now, I'm asking you with Stiles
off the board. And Delane is there,
and Tate is there, and
Tyson is there. And but I think we can
rule out Tyson because it won't fit what
our offensive coordinators looking for.
So it's downs, and it's Tate,
and it's Delane. I'm taking
Tate. You've got to get Jane Daniels
playmaker. And as much as I like Jordan Tyson and think that he could be the best receiver in
this class if he's healthy and didn't have the injury history, that's just not the case. He does.
I mean, he's had a hard time staying healthy. And to me, the risk versus reward there isn't good
enough for me to pull the trigger on Jordan Tyson. I'm taking Cardinal Tate. You've had success
with another Ohio State receiver and Terry McLaurin. Bring in this guy, and I know it's a different
leadership group, but bring in Tate. You get that weapon on the outside. There's no such thing as a safe
pick but I like the risk versus reward of Tate there.
You stay in defense?
Caleb Downs is in a different class of, and it's, you look at the board and you're like,
well, you have Downs at five and you've got Tate at seven.
Yeah.
You know me with my tears, right?
He's a different bucket.
He's in a different tier.
He's in a different tier.
I'm taking Tate too.
I am.
I am.
I believe, I believe.
this organization
now if downs was an edge rusher
or even like an interior defensive
lineman I'm not talking to team specific here
I'm talking like that would trump it for me
but we're talking about a safety versus a receiver
and you just look at the annual
top five paid at each position it's not even close
like safety's near the bottom wide receiver's number three
only behind quarterback and edge
and I can't let my, I just can't let my franchise quarterback who already is coming off a year of injury
be in a situation where he doesn't have the tools he needs to be successful.
So I would take Cornell tape.
Yeah, I agree.
And I actually wouldn't blink.
Even though there's a difference in grade and it's slight and it looks like a 93 to a 92,
but in my mind that that's something.
Yeah, I'm taking Cardinal Tate.
All right, but I think just for the folks at home,
I think that that could be Downs.
So are we going with Downs being off the board?
Yeah.
Okay.
Now you get to number eight.
They get Tate, they get Tyson,
they get Bain, the New Orleans Saints do,
and this is what they want.
If they don't have to trade up to go get a guy,
in this situation, it's Tate, Tyson, Bain.
And, oh, in Monsora Delane.
Yeah.
This is the Delane range, I think.
I think seven might be a little too early,
but we're going to, right now, this is when I would start to look for him to come off the board, the corner from LCO.
I don't disagree. That's the intel. It's, it's Tate and Tyson, it's Delane and Bain.
And Mention's getting calls right now from the league. No, I, it's not dissimilar from what I just said,
except now we've got an edge in there for, and I know the importance of that position.
Brandon Stanley
needs like an explosive getoff guy
He also needs a Monsor Delane
Exactly to a T
But I'm looking at Chris Olive
And
I got you
You don't even say it
Velae
Yeah
With his 25 catches a year ago
And I'm like
I don't know what
How do I roll
How do I roll a guy out there
how do I roll a guy out there with Olavé in that?
And so that's the frustrating part for me.
Right.
I'm looking at New Orleans and they pick again at 42 and 73.
They get eight picks overall in one each round.
That's what I was just going to do.
Chalk.
So now I've got to look at this as a combo pick.
And the second round there's going to be running these corners.
Yep.
And you're going to have like the Avion Terrells and the DeAngelo Pons
and Brandon's C.
Brandon Cisei.
We think Chris Johnson
will be gone at that point.
Chris Johnson will probably be gone at that point.
Jermad McCoy
if he falls, it's only,
but it won't be that far.
It'll be because of the knee.
Colton Hood will be gone.
Yeah, so, but there will be
a couple corners when we pick again
that would be worth the value.
There will be a couple edges
worth the value.
There will be a couple receivers.
Like there will be.
Yep, that's what I like.
I like, you need a receiver.
I would take Carnal Tate here again.
You would?
Yeah.
I like getting a Delane, a Montser Delaan right now,
and then getting a Jeremy Bernard, a stripling in that second round range.
That's a better, better combo for me than the corner you're going to get in the beginning of the second.
I think what I'm basically saying is that I like the depth at corner, I mean a receiver more than I do at corner.
and I am very high on Montserde Lane.
They're picking at 42, and to get, I'm picking at 42,
and so you're looking at Chris Bell, Stribling, Bernard, those guys.
Yep.
Or you're looking at Avion Torell, Brandon Sissy.
Pons.
DeAngo Pons, yeah.
Yeah.
I like getting the corner now.
But I also need an edge.
I know.
That's, that's.
to me it comes down there's where it's like malachi lawrence
R Mason Thomas
Akus maybe
yeah
but yeah
yeah
I think the lane's different than the rest of the corners in the class
you're getting the top player at the position
although Ruben Bain Jr. would be really
really tempting to me
the beauty is New Orleans kind of can't go wrong here
they're going to get a great football player here
it feels like if you take receiver you're
not reaching I'm not saying that you're reaching
but I feel like there's better play
Maybe available?
Honest to God, you know what I'm doing?
You know what I'm doing?
I'm taking Ruben Bain.
I'm fine with that.
I'm taking Ruben Bain because I can get a corner down the line.
And honestly, my corners a lot of times are only as good as my safeties unless they're transcendent.
And I think Monsour Delane is really, really good.
I don't know that he's not Patrick Sturtain.
We'll see.
No, he's not.
He's not built like that.
That's true.
I'm talking to transcendent guys, you know.
so I'm taking the edge
even though, yeah, I'm taking the edge there
but I don't know which
I honestly don't know which direction they're going to go.
They have, it's a good problem for them to have.
It's a great problem. I mean, if you're choosing between Delane,
Bain Jr.
And Carnell Tate,
the board has fallen your way.
Yeah.
It sounds like Tater, no, it sounds like Tater Tyson.
Could be the pick there, though.
Okay.
But yeah.
You're taking Tate over Tyson, though, right?
Yeah, I am personally.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yeah, yes.
Kansas City's nine.
I'm hearing this edge, Bain if available,
or wide receiver, Tyson, if available.
No offensive tackle.
But Andy's saying we got to get that,
we got to address that.
Maybe they feel like they can move up a little bit
at the end of the first round?
I don't know.
That would be my guess.
Okay.
Is that we then make a move to go up through Kansas City.
That's how.
So who do we give to New Orleans?
We didn't.
Tyson.
I think Tyson would wind up maybe being the pick.
Okay.
Mock comes out tomorrow.
Let's see how many changes there are.
Yeah.
Kansas City, Bane.
My intel is Bain if he's here or a wide receiver.
So we're going to give him Bain.
I would.
And I would.
I'd take Bain too.
Yeah.
I think that is as easy a pick as you can make.
So Tyson goes eight, Bain goes nine.
So now you're the Giants, and we talked about this before.
Tyson's gone.
Downs is gone to 7, Washington.
I've heard Yawane.
That makes sense to me.
Me too.
Yeah.
Makes sense to me more than Maui Noah.
And Maui Noah is gone to six anyway.
It makes more sense than Fano.
Yeah.
Yeah, it actually does.
Yeah, for what Harbaugh does that mentality,
and they need a guard more than a tackle, I believe.
It's funny, like I said in the top of this thing,
why don't you just go back to the combine, Todd,
when you were having real conversations with people
and just looking at this board and you'd watch the tape,
and then you go back and you watch more tape,
and it only confirms that Love and Reese and Stiles,
and Caleb Downs and Bailey are the best football players in this class,
and there's a second tier, and it's Carnal Tate,
and it's Monsour Delane.
and it's Mansour Deland, and it's Jordan Tyson,
it's Spencer Fano, it's Ruben Bain,
and it's Venga, Yawane.
And quite honestly,
Yawani is right in the fringe of that first tier and the second tier.
Yeah.
The only knock on him is he's not as athletic
as some of the elite prospects,
but watch the tape, man.
Yeah.
He's damn good.
All right.
11.
Eleven's Miami.
Honest to God, it's...
Who's literally the best player available on the board right now?
What's our board?
Yep, him.
Is there an offensive lineman or defensive linemen?
Can we keep on the fronts?
Same grade?
Okay, let's take the offensive one.
Okay, all right.
Turn it in.
Yep, thanks.
That's John Eric Sullivan.
Yeah.
That's my impersonation of John Eric Sullivan.
Why?
Because they need everything.
They need everything.
And they are setting themselves up, rightfully so.
And I'm pulling for the guy, and I'm pulling for Jeff.
half-halfly and I think they're really good at what they do respectively, but they got their hands full,
unlike many other situations I've ever seen in this league. We're from a roster standpoint.
But you know how quickly you can turn this thing around when you start hitting like that?
Yeah.
You know the Dallas Cowboys with the Aikman and the Emmett and the, like that, they were a disaster and then bang.
So you can do the same thing in this day and age of football.
They got 11 picks, man.
They got 11 picks and they've got four in the third, one in the,
the second. So the seven of those
11 are in the first three rounds.
First 100 players in this draft.
Pick wisely and pick
the best, you know?
Yeah. So who's the best on our board?
Delane.
So you take Delane?
Yeah. Truly. That's who we would take, right?
Yeah. Because Love's gone. Rees has gone.
Stiles has gone. Obviously Mendoza's gone.
Caleb Downs is gone. Bailey
was gone at two. Carnell
Tate was just gone a couple picks earlier too.
Do we gift tape to anyone?
Oh, do we not?
We didn't.
This went Mendoza Bailey, Reese, Mendoza Bailey, Reese, Stiles to Tennessee.
Giants was Jeremiah Love.
Yep.
Maui Noah went six, downs went seven, Tyson went eight,
Bain went nine.
Yep
And
Yuanay went 10
So Cardo Tate
Hmm
Yeah, take them
Yeah
I mean they have a knee there
Absolutely
But you could
You could argue
Delane
Yeah
And Maui No is still on the board right?
No Maui No that's their six
Six six
So Fano is still on the board
Yep
I could see them going
Fano
Right
Just FYI.
Okay.
So let's do two more picks.
12?
That was 12, right?
No, that was 11.
Yeah, 11.
So what do we...
So right now left on the board at 12 for Dallas is Mansour Delane.
Turn it and it's over.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
There's nobody else.
No, they don't need Fano.
And Bain is gone, right?
And Bain's gone, too, right?
Yeah, so that's Monsora Delane.
13 is the...
We're sitting there with the Rams.
It's where it gets interesting.
I think Les Sneed is a wild card on Thursday night.
Mench five stars.
Thanks, man.
But before we run out of here, and I give Munch's five stars again,
we got a huge week this week.
The top 100 is out tonight.
Go look for it on the ringer.com slash McShay.
That's the board that everyone's going to count.
It's the board that we do pretty well.
I don't jinx it this close to the draft.
We do pretty well.
We've hung in there.
We fight a good fight every year.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, if you're watching this, consuming this on Netflix or Spotify or listening on Apple or wherever else you get your podcasts, tomorrow is the final mock draft, 5.0.

I'm feeling good about things.
Says me every single year until I'm up until 3 in the morning.
He's not printing anything out.
The good news is we're on the West Coast, so no one's up at 3 in the morning.
So this will be a 10, 11 o'clock night.
then we're going to write it up.
