Democrat Graham Platner's campaign for U.S. Senate in Maine now in serious crisis, with the nominee canceling events and publicly saying he is taking time to reflect on his path forward after a woman he once dated publicly accuses him of sexual assault. Politico reporting 41-year-old main resident Jenny Razicott says Plattner forced her to have sex with him nearly five years ago, despite what she described as repeated objections. Plattner denies the allegation

calling any accusation of non-consensual behavior, quote, categorically false. Razicot telling Politico she met Plattner on a dating app in 2019 and dated him on and off for more than two years. She says one night in late 2021, after she told him not to come over, Platner entered her unlocked rural main home uninvited, extremely intoxicated, and walked upstairs to where she was sitting on a couch. Razakot says she could smell alcohol on his breath and believed he was, quote, almost blackout drunk, telling Politico he got on top of her and kept grabbing her, even as she told him to stop, quote, I remember him grabbing my pelvis and being really full. forceful of me. I remember the specific moment where I thought to myself like, this is no longer my choice.

Razicott saying she tried to get out of the room only for Platner to follow her into her bedroom, where she says he had sex with her against her will. Quote, I had been telling him these words like, no, don't. And the look on his face and realizing what was happening, I just realized that like, I am in a situation where there's no consent here. Politico reporting the outlet reviewed emails between Razakot and her therapist, referencing the alleged assault, along with 23 Facebook messages, in which Razakot warned another woman against getting involved with Platner, long before he ran for office, telling the woman she, Razakot had, quote, ended up in a bad situation with Platner, and that he, quote, doesn't listen to you when drunk.

Razakot admits she never filed a police report, and while she claims she did send Platner a message, on Instagram weeks after the alleged encounter, saying it had not been consensual. She could not produce the message saying she later deleted all correspondence with him. Razikop previously going public with concerns about Platner, appearing last month in a New York Times story featuring several women who described troubling experiences with the candidate. In that article, she described Plattner's behavior as, quote, reckless and, quote, unsettling, but did not publicly accuse him of sexual assault. Razakot telling Politico, she later decided to disclose the full allegation

after watching the reaction to the Times story focus heavily on another woman, Lindsay Fyfield, who accused Plattner of mistreating her and then faced attacks over her ties to Republican politics. Razikot, in an interview yesterday with CNN, describing why she's coming forward with more detail. One of the biggest ones is that I think that there are a lot of men in this world relying on the silence of women and to be where they are. And I don't want to contribute to that.

I also want to just get my life back. There are going to be people, maybe even his campaign, certainly his supporters who say this is politically motivated. What would you say to that? I couldn't disagree more. That was actually one of the reasons that I didn't come out. Because you agree with this politics. I do.

I really agree with this. politics. I think we need somebody with those political stances and who are willing to do the work. And, you know, I see his political videos. They get me fired up as well. And, you know, and I felt like me coming forward would essentially potentially take that away. And I felt really uncomfortable with the responsibility of the weight of my story and what that might do. Plattner responding to the political story yesterday in this video posted online. accusation of non-consensual behavior is categorically false. Over the last 10 months, I have been deeply humbled by the faith Maynors have put in me. You have welcomed me into your homes,

into your places of work, into your restaurants, into your houses of worship. You have shown that a different kind of politics, one that puts the interest of people over corporations, is not just possible, but is inevitable. So, regardless of the inaccuracy of the reporting, but mindful to political reality it will inflict. We are taking the time to reflect on the best path forward for the state that I love, the people that I love, the movement I belong to, and the goal of defeating Susan Collins. That statement coming after the Plattner campaign

had already postponed a string of events in Maine. The new allegation follows weeks of damaging stories surrounding Plattner's campaign, including a separate sexting scandal. Platner's own wife reportedly alerted the campaign, to explicit messages he had sent to other women early in their marriage. The campaign also forced to confront a Nazi-linked tattoo on Plattner's chest, which he has since covered saying he did not understand its meaning when he got it. Platner winning the Democrat nomination Handily last month, and under Maine law, the party can

replace him on the November ballot, but only if he withdraws by July 13th. That gives Democrats just one week to potentially find a new candidate in one of the the party's most important Senate pickup opportunities. The pressure campaign escalating quickly, Maine Democrat Party leadership now publicly calling on Plattner to withdraw, as other high-profile Dems also begin to abandon him. Congressman Rokana of California, one of Plattner's most prominent progressive supporters, calling the new allegations, quote, very serious and credible, saying Plattner should drop out and withdrawing his endorsement. Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona also rescinding his endorsement. If Platner remains in the race, he is set to face incumbent Republican Senator Susan

Collins in November. Before the latest allegations surfaced, the Real Clear Politics polling average, showing Platner with a slight lead of 47.5% to Senator Collins' 46.8%. Prediction market Kalshi yesterday showing the odds of Platner dropping out before Friday, now at 72%. Team USA entering this morning as the third and final host nation knocked out of the World Cup. Mexico and Canada both eliminated over the weekend, leaving the Americans with one last chance to keep a host country alive. Last night, sadly, that chance came to an end. American striker Follarin Bolligan cleared to play last night after FIFA reversed his one-game ban, resulting from a red card in Team USA's 2-0 win over Bosnia in the round of 32. That decision sparking backlash from Belgium, among others, their opponent

last night, but giving the Americans one of their top attacking threats back for the knockout game. Sadly, Team USA's World Cup run ending in regulation, Belgium taking down the Americans outright and seemingly with ease, cutting short the host nation's dream and moving on to the quarterfinals. The final score, 4 to 1. Already up 2 to 1 at Hector 1. halftime, Belgium adding a third goal in the 57th minute, then for good measure, putting away one more in the third minute of stoppage time. Next up for Belgium, a trip to Los Angeles to take on Spain in Friday's quarterfinal. The match set for 3 p.m. Eastern. Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk last September, back in a Utah County courtroom yesterday for the first day of a preliminary hearing expected to last all week.

The proceedings mark the most significant presentation of evidence in the case to date, with prosecutors tasked with persuading Judge Tony Graff that they do have enough evidence to take Robinson to trial. Robinson faces seven charges including aggravated murder, with prosecutors seeking the death penalty if he is convicted. The morning session giving prosecutors their first chance to begin walking the court through the evidence. After the break, defense attorney Catherine Nester resuming her cross-examination, a former Utah Valley University,

police officer Chris Bagley, who was on campus the day of the shooting. Nestor first pressing Bagley on his body camera, Bagley testifying the battery had died and that he did not replace or recharge it because of the chaos unfolding that day. Nestor then turning to the surveillance video Bagley later reviewed at the police department, suggesting neither her client nor the alleged murder weapon were identifiable in that tape. When you looked at that video, were you able to identify the individual's face? I know. Were you able to identify any markings on their clothing?

I know. Were you able to identify their height? No. When we looked at the picture of the I think you called it the sniper perch, so I'm going to use your word words. It looked like there was a measuring tape laid out next to it.

Did you ever, were you present when they measured like the distance, like how long how tall that person would have been? I was not. So you don't know what that I don't. Were you able to tell the person's weight from the video that you saw? I can tell he wasn't a heavy set. Okay.

More of a skinnier person. Could you identify what shoes they were wearing? I could not. Could you identify anything about a hat or what was on their head? At the moment, no, I couldn't. And did you see a gun in the video? I saw a long black object in the left hand as a long. he was running over across the roof.

Prosecutors then calling David Hull, a former Utah State Bureau of Investigation Agent, who now works for the Utah Department of Public Safety. Hull testifying he spent years investigating major crimes, including dozens of murder cases, before being sent to Utah Valley University after Charlie was shot. Hull describing phone tips pouring in from members of the public,

along with cell phone videos taken by people who were at the event. That quickly set off one of the central fight of the afternoon. Prosecutors want several of those videos and accompanying statements admitted into evidence. Defense attorney Nestor objecting, arguing the people who recorded or verified the videos were not in court to testify, thus the tapes could not be authenticated. In some cases, the judge allowing these videos to be shown in court and on the public live stream. For example, Judge Graff allowing one video from a woman who submitted a written statement confirming she recorded it. In other cases, Judge Graff allowing the videos but blocking them from being shown on

courtroom screens or broadcast to the public, including video of the moment Charlie was killed. Judge Graff watching that video on a monitor atop his bench. Deputy Utah County Attorney David Sturgle asking Hall to point out the suspect he identified during the investigation. Counsel Nestor immediately objecting. Your Honor, we object to unduly suggestive in court identification for constitutional grounds. Do you wish to specify unduly constitutional...

I'm trying to understand your objections, so I want to make sure I fully understand it. Your Honor, I think there's some, and I'll defer to you to Mr. Bird if he wants to jump in, but I believe there's a long line of case law that says, and you ask someone to identify the defendant when they're the only person, you know, sitting at the table with defense counsel, that that's unduly suggestive and taints any future or past, well, definitely future identification. So we object to that happening in this fashion at this. time. I've simply asked him if that person that he has seen, both in driver's license photos and the surveillance video, if that person he's here in the courtroom today.

And I don't know that that's unduly prejudicial or suggestive. It's the routine. I don't know of any other way to do it other than the way I just did it, Judge. Judge Graff calling both sides to the bench for a private discussion. When they returned, Graff saying the court record would reflect that Robinson had been identified. More live coverage and analysis of the proceedings later today on the MK show. Prince Harry's return to the UK already off to a royal mess. The Duke of Sussex will not stay at Buckingham Palace during his visit to the UK this week, with palace officials indicating he missed the deadline to accept King Charles's offer of royal accommodation. Harry now living in the U.S., of course, with Megan Markle and their two kids, after the couple stepped away from

royal duties in 2020, launching a long-running public feud with the royal family. Early yesterday, Harry's spokesman telling British media, the Duke had formally accepted an invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace for part of his London visit this week. Within minutes, however, that version of events publicly undercut by palace reps, clarifying that Harry would not, in fact, be staying at the palace. Multiple British outlets reporting the royal household requires enough notice to make the staffing, hospitality, and security arrangements needed for a guest to stay at a royal residence, and that Harry's RSVP came too late. Harry's camp casting the decision as a last-minute reversal, his spokesman saying it was, quote,

disappointing that the offer has now been withdrawn. According to Harry's side, the Duke's bending last week arranging private security, after learning he would not receive the police protection he had been seeking and only accepted the accommodation once those alternative plans were in place. Palace sources, however, describing a different sequence of events. British outlet the Times reporting palace aides attempted to facilitate Harry's accommodations requesting a response by the end of last week. The Prince reportedly declining the offer on Saturday morning, only to then reverse his decision hours later. By then, reports the Times, it was too late. The deadline had passed. The logistics reportedly more complicated than usual, large parts of Buckingham Palace currently

undergoing renovations, making advance notice especially important. Newsweek's Chief Royal correspondent Jack Royston breaking down the behind-the-scenes jockeying this way. I think the simplest way to have not wound up in this position of total chaos and mayhem would basically have been for Harry to just accept at much earlier stage that he wasn't going to get his police protection and accept Buckingham Palace's offer of accommodation a long time ago. And he spent the whole of last week trying to rearrange some of his plans for while kind of telling Buckingham Palace and that, you know, it wasn't very suitable for his needs. Buckingham Palace as a state basically just got fed up with Harry.

On Saturday, you know, there were discussions between AIDS at Buckingham Palace and the King, after which Harry was told, you know, it's not happening. You're not going to get it. Harry, making stops in London and Birmingham this week for various charity events, The Duchess of Drama and Harry's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lelabet, initially expected to join him, but those plans changed amid security disputes, according to NBC News. Or was it when Duchess Megan realized she wasn't going to be able to sneak some Netflix cameras over there
