Spain defeating Argentina 1-0 yesterday in a dramatic extra time victory to win the World Cup, the final played at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands in New Jersey, just outside of New York City. The game remaining scoreless through regulation, despite Spain taking

15 shots, while Argentina failed to record a single attempt on goal. Argentina losing one of its top players in the 93rd minute, the resulting red card leaving the team a man down for all of extra time. Argentina's goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, almost single-handedly keeping his team in the game, making a World Cup final record, 10 saves in regulation playing with a broken finger, no less. Early in the second half of overtime, Spain finally breaking through. left-winger Nico Williams heading the ball backward from near the goal line, sending it into the box to forward Ferran Torres,

who charged in and fired the game winner into the top of the net. Argentina not recording its first shot of the game until the 116th minute, then playing with intense urgency, launching attack after attack but never finding the net. The victory gives Spain its second men's World Cup title ever, while ending 39-year-old Lionel Messi's bid to win, consecutive championships. Spain also becoming the first country to hold the men's and women's World Cup titles at the same time. President Trump, among the many high-profile individuals in

attendance, to watch the conclusion of a successful North American World Cup. Social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate arrested Saturday in Miami on a British extradition request tied to dozens of rape, trafficking, and other charges. U.S. Marshalls taking the dual American British citizens into custody on a sealed warrant, according to the AP. TMZ publishing video showing agents handcuffing the brothers outside a convention center in downtown Miami, where Andrew Tate had been scheduled to co-host a bare-knuckle boxing event. The brothers already facing a combined 21 charges in Britain involving three alleged victims, including rape, human trafficking, assault, and controlling prostitution for financial gain.

Yesterday, Assistant Chief Constable Karina Thomas announcing the scope of the expanded case. Following the initial charges being authorized, we have continued to investigate further offenses reported to both Bedfordshire Police and Hartfordshire Constabulary. As a result, 38 new charges in total have now been authorized against Andrew and Tristan Tate, bringing the total number of charges faced to 59. The charges relate to seven victims spanning a period from 2010 to 2017. The Crown Prosecution Service charging Andrew with seven additional counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault causing bodily harm,

and 19 charges involving indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan now facing one additional count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. The brothers gaining millions of followers, on social media by promoting an aggressively misogynistic vision of masculinity. The British case only one part of the brothers' years-long legal battle. The Tate's also facing criminal proceedings in Romania since their arrest there in December

2022. Romanian prosecutors accusing the brothers of using the so-called lover boy method, allegedly luring women with promises of romantic relationships before coercing them into producing pornographic content. journalist Matt Shea, who investigated the Tate Brothers in documentaries for the BBC, explaining on the network why the Miami arrests come as a surprise. Well, it's surprising because we have to remember, right, throughout the litany of accusations against the Tate brothers,

perhaps the biggest ongoing right now is the Romanian investigation into them. So there are two indictments in Romania. There's one from 2023, which alleges both Andrew and Treasks, Tristan Tate, formed an organized criminal group and did human trafficking and were guilty of rape as well, and a newer investigation involving additional allegations, including trafficking of a minor, sex with the minor, money laundering, witness tampering, and the list goes on. And the agreement that the UK had with the Romanian authorities was that they would wait for that investigation to complete and any sentencing to complete before the Tates were then extradited to the UK from Romania. So this has been a bit of a

shock because it's changed that. And presumably, that's because of this new evidence. A Romanian court approving Britain's original extradition request in March 24, but postponing the brother's transfer until the criminal proceedings against them in Romania were completed, according to Reuters. Romanian authorities lifting the brothers' travel restrictions in February 2005, allowing them to return to Florida while the cases in Romania remained unresolved. The brothers denying all allegations against them, their attorney Joseph McBride, accusing British officials of trying to bypass the Romanian proceedings and arguing America should reject the extradition request. Andrew and Tristan Tate set to appear in federal court in Miami

sometime this week, according to the Wall Street Journal. Two U.S. Forest Service employees safely released after allegedly being kidnapped, zip-tied, and held a gunpoint for nearly 15 hours in a remote part of Northern California in a terrifying and bizarre incident. Authorities identifying the suspects as 49-year-old Joseph Charles Henriksen and his 23-year-old son, Phoenix Henriksen. The crisis beginning around 10.55 a.m. Thursday, two federal employees were reported. reportedly performing routine seasonal fieldwork near Gumbut Lake in the Shasta Trinity National Forest in California. Authorities say Joseph Henriksen confronted the workers with a gun, forcing them into a privately owned trailer deep inside the forest. It is unclear to whom the trailer belongs. The trailer sits roughly 6,000 feet above sea level in heavily wooded mountainous terrain,

accessible only by a single lane road, according to the New York Times. Federal prosecutors say Henriksen used one of the victim's phones to contact authorities warning that he had live ammunition. ABC10 obtaining police scanner audio capturing the demand that helped set negotiations in motion.

and bring the workers home safely. We sent deputies and our special response team to the location around noon. At about 103 p.m., using our drones, we were able to. to identify a trailer where Mr. Hendrickson was inside, and we attempted every effort to begin communicating with him to resolve the potential conflict. And it wasn't until about 4 o'clock, about 420, that we were able to begin negotiations with Mr. Hendrickson. At about 150 a.m., the survivors, the hostages, the two employees of the Forest Service were released. Authorities say drone footage showed the Elder Henrickson carrying an AR-15-style rifle and

repeatedly moving in and out of the trailer. Campers and other visitors reportedly evacuated from the surrounding area as hundreds of officers converged on the isolated campground. The response drawing local, state, and federal agencies, including tactical teams, hostage negotiators, bomb technicians and members of the FBI's hostage rescue team flown in from Quantico, Virginia. Acting FBI Sacramento Special Agent in Charge at a Friday press conference praising the coordinated response and its rare, peaceful conclusion. At approximately 2.30 a.m., Joseph Heinrichson and his son, Phoenix Heimrickson surrendered. Joseph has been arrested on federal kidnapping charges. At the time, he had an AR-15 and knives

and claim to have grenades. Crisis situations like this don't often result in everyone leaving the scene safely. We are very proud of the work everyone did today. Both Forest Service employees evaluated after their release and allowed to return home

with authorities reporting no serious injuries. Federal prosecutors charging both Henriksen's on Friday with kidnapping federal employees. As a possible motive, Shasta County Sheriff Michael Johnson telling the New York Times, the elder Henriksen had spent years expressing intense grievances against the federal government.

Sheriff Johnson not providing more information about Henriksen's complaint, but saying the father and son specifically targeted the workers because of their connection to the federal government. If convicted, each man faces a maximum sentence of life in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The latest confirmed deaths bring the American military tolls since the war began to 17, if the remains are positively

identified that would make 18 with more than 400 troops injured. Former Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband officially charged with a hit and run after allegedly crashing into a parked car and leaving the scene in Napa Valley, California. Napa County prosecutors charging 86-year-old Paul Pelosi on Friday over the July 3rd collision in Yontville. According to the Napa County Sheriff's Office, Pelosi, in his brown convertible, struck a legally parked, unoccupied vehicle. He briefly stopped, then drove away without providing the information required under California law. No one was injured, and authorities say alcohol was not involved. A California Highway Patrol officer finding Mr. Pelosi

about a quarter mile from the scene after he allegedly continued driving until his car stopped working. Mr. Pelosi facing one misdemeanor count of hit and run involving property damage, carrying up to six months in county jail, a $1,000 fine, or both, according to the AP,

along with a separate charge for allegedly making an unlawful turn. A Pelosi family spokesperson previously saying he personally apologized to the vehicle's owner and promised to cover the damage, which shouldn't be hard. because his net worth is approximately $275 million per news nation. Representative Pelosi approached by a Fox News reporter on Friday declining to address the case. How is Paul doing since the accident?
