Good morning, everyone. I'm Emily Jashinsky, host of After Party and the Megan Kelly wrap-up show on Sirius XM Channel 111. It's Thursday, March 12th, 2026. And this is your AM update.
One of the greatest victories we have achieved for hardworking Americans is no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security. And as I told you before, no tax on overtime.
President Trump on the road Tuesday, visiting manufacturing facilities in Ohio and Kentucky while promoting the administration.
administration's economic agenda. A man in custody after ramming his vehicle into a White House
barricade. Attorney General Pam Bondi, not the latest Trump official, moving on to a military base
amid a growing threat environment. And an Uber-elite Upper East Side private school scandal exploding
into public view. All that and more coming up in just a moment on your AM update.
It's time for a little spring cleaning. And here is a place to start. Go and drag your old dated
wireless contract out of the closet and beat it with a broom. Then freshen things up by switching
to Pure Talk. Who gives you unlimited talk, text, and plenty of data for just 25 bucks a month?
No contract, no cancellation fees, and no overseas customer service if you ever need help. Maybe you
will like them as much as Lois. Listen to Lois's review. Quote, switch to Pure Talk a few years ago,
amazing. Same coverage and clarity as Verizon or AT&T at a fraction of the price. Award-winning
customer service just upgraded to an iPhone 16.
and the support and deals were superb. Why anyone is still getting ripped off by the big guys
is beyond me. She writes, want to make the switch? Dial pound 250 and then say Megan Kelly.
And switch to peer talk. Dial pound 250, say Megan Kelly, and you will also say 50% off your first
month. President Trump spending the day on the road Tuesday for stopping in Reading, Ohio,
where he toured a pharmaceutical company
as the administration highlights its push
to lower prescription drug costs.
The president then heading to Hebron, Kentucky,
touring a packaging facility
before delivering remarks while standing in front of a large banner
reading, quote,
lower prices, bigger paychecks.
President Trump touting the administration's legislative
and economic wins,
while warning Democrats are gearing up to undo them
if they win the midterms.
One of the greatest victories we have achieved
for hardworking Americans with the help of our great Republican majorities in Congress,
is no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security. And as I told you before, no tax on overtime,
which affects you. And every Democrat voted against it. So remember, and they'll terminate it.
If they take power, they'll terminate it. We've got to win the midterms.
The president also addressing Operation Epic Fury against Iran, including a new internet,
international effort to offset rising oil prices.
They knocked out 54 ships in two days.
But they also knocked out the mine layers.
They call mine layers.
They put mines in the water.
Lovely job.
Isn't that nice?
Blow up ships.
And we knocked out 31 of them.
But I'm pleased to report that earlier today,
the International Energy Agency agreed to coordinate
the release of a record 400 million barrels of oil
from various national petroleum reserves around the world,
which will substantially reduce the oil prices
as we end this threat to America and this threat to the world.
We don't want to leave early, do we?
We got to finish the job, right?
We don't want to go back every two years.
Because, you know, there'll be someday when you don't have me as president.
Perhaps you'll have a weak, pathetic person like we've had in the past.
mostly all, like Barack Hussein Obama, who signed one of the worst deals ever with Iran.
The stop in northern Kentucky, notable for another reason, the district represented by Republican
Congressman Thomas Massey, who is in a long-running feud with the president, largely due to
Mr. Massey's push for the release of the Epstein files and his vote against the big, beautiful
bill, Mr. Trump endorsing the congressman's primary challenger at Galrine ahead of the Republican primary
set for May.
President Trump taking aim at his political foe.
Massey voted against tax cuts for seniors.
He voted against tax cuts for overtime workers.
And he voted against tax cuts for earners, tip burners.
No, he wanted to increase the taxes.
He voted with the Democrats.
He voted against our historic funding for border security.
And he voted against eligibility verification for welfare recipients.
Nobody has to be eligible.
Just pick up whatever you want.
The people in this room don't like that.
We call him Rand Paul Jr.
He votes against everything.
But at least I like Rand a little bit.
We got to get rid of this loser.
This guy is bad.
He's disloyal to the Republican Party.
He's disloyal to the people of Kentucky.
And most importantly, he is disloyal to the United States of America.
The president inviting several guests to speak, including YouTube star and boxer Jake Paul.
What Mr. Trump has taught me is,
You know, we never back down from a fight, even if they're much bigger than you, much, much bigger than you.
And I feel all the local Kentuckians feel the same way.
You guys have that fight?
You guys have that swag.
There's a lot of young kids in here.
The future of America.
I grew up just a few hours away from here, and my dad taught me to fight, and all of our voices matter in America.
And I'm never afraid to speak the truth, and I know you guys aren't.
We are here representing the United States.
States, and it's just a blessing. Thank you, Mr. Trump.
A man arrested by the Secret Service early Tuesday morning after driving a van into a security
barrier outside the White House. Authorities saying the vehicle crashed into a temporary gate
around 6.30 a.m., with officers immediately taking the driver into custody.
Little is known about the suspect so far, though NBC4 Washington capturing video of officers
detaining the man at the scene. The suspect appearing to be a white male bald with facial
hair, wearing brown cargo pants, black sneakers, and a t-shirt appearing to read,
Trump is my president and Jesus is my savior.
Officers seen administering what appeared to be a field sobriety test.
The incident prompting road closures in the area as the bomb squad investigated the vehicle,
later determining it posed no threat, according to the Associated Press.
The Secret Service says criminal charges are pending.
The incident coming just weeks after a deadly security breach at President Trump's Mar-Lago estate in Florida,
where a 21-year-old North Carolina man, armed with a shotgun and gas canister,
was shot and killed by law enforcement after entering the property's perimeter.
Coming up, Attorney General Pam Bondi,
reportedly the latest Trump official to move on to a military base
as security threats against Trump administration officials intensify.
A ritsy Upper East Side private school thrown into chaos
after posters exposing an alleged staff affair
appear outside during morning drop-off.
Our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition,
says Washington politicians are always getting in your wallet,
and now they're messing with your credit card.
They say your credit card and the security it offers are under attack,
and that Senators Dick Durbin and Roger Marshall
want to change the nation's payment system
to benefit corporate megastores like Walmart and Target
at the expense of everyday Americans.
Credit cards can keep your payments secure
and provide rewards that families
use to help make everyday purchases more affordable.
The Electronic Payments Coalition says the Durban Marshall mandates would let corporate
megastores cut corners on credit card processing, routing transactions over cheaper, untested
networks with weaker, security, and fewer protections.

Attorney General Pam Bondi is becoming the latest Trump administration official to relocate
into military housing amid a heightened threat environment.
The New York Times reporting A.G. Bondi moved from a Washington apartment to housing on a military
installation within the past month after federal law enforcement flagged a growing number of threats
directed at her. The move placing the Attorney General among at least seven senior administration
officials now living on military bases, according to reporting from the Atlantic.
The officials include Secretary of War Pete Hagseth, White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller,
and outgoing DHS Secretary Christy Noam, among others.
In some cases, the relocations following historical precedent, former defense secretary, Robert Gates,
who served under President's W. Bush and Obama, as well as General James Mattis, who served as
Defense Secretary under the First Trump administration, living in Navy housing during their tenures.
Secretary of War Pete Hexas' lodgings at Fort McNair in D.C. falling within that tradition.
Other officials moving on to bases in direct response to security threats, doxing, and persistent harassment,
targeting not just them but their families as well.
Threats against public officials intensifying in recent years.
In the summer of 2022, the homes of several Supreme Court justices were targeted by protesters
following the Supreme Court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
That same year, Nicholas Roski traveled from California to Chevy Chase, Maryland,
authorities saying he planned to break into Justice Brett Kavanaugh's home and kill him.
Roski instead calling police on himself outside the residence,
where he was then taken into custody. In July 2024, Thomas Matthew Crooks coming within
millimeters of ending then-candidant Trump's life at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
But for the split-second timing of a head turn, Mr. Trump would have been fatally struck by the bullet.
Under the second Trump administration, the threats continuing. A Minnesota man arrested and
federally charged last October after allegedly posting a TikTok video offering a $45,000 bounty on A.G. Bondi.
According to the FBI affidavit, the post featuring a picture of the Attorney General, quote,
with a sniper scope red dot on her forehead, reading, quote, wanted, dead or alive, but preferably dead.
The New York Times reporting threats against A.G. Bondi increasing earlier this year following the
capture and prosecution of Venezuelan leader Nicholas Maduro, according to a senior official familiar
with the security assessments, other administration officials citing similar concerns.
outgoing DHS Secretary Christy Noem moving into Coast Guard housing after media reports publicly identified where she was living.
It is unclear if she will remain in base housing after March 31st when she assumes a new role as special envoy to the Shield of the Americas.
Deputy White House Chief of Staff and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller,
one of the most visible figures of President Trump's immigration policies relocating to military housing with his wife and three young children after repeated threats and harassment
at their home. Miller's wife Katie, speaking to next up host Mark Halpern in December.
We had to move out of our house for security reasons, the house I built for my children, that my
realtor was like, oh, this is a perfect house for young kids. And I'm like, I know, I built it
for my children. And we moved into a military installation for our kids' security, my husband's
security, and to ensure that my husband felt safe and my kids felt safe pushing a stroller.
Because as any parent of a young child knows, it's wrangling to get into crime.
car seats is wrangling to get into strollers. You don't move quickly. You don't have fast movements.
And so for our kids' security and for my husbands, we moved from our home into a military base.
And that is a very sad state of affairs.
Scandal engulfing a posh Upper East Side private school in New York City.
Tuesday morning drop off at the elite Spence School bringing more drama than usual.
Parents and nannies arriving to find the block littered with posters reading, quote,
attention Spence families,

The prestigious all-girls K-12 school,
whose alumni include Gwyneth Paltrow,
Carrie Washington, and Anna Wintour's daughter, B. Schaefer,
carrying a price tag of more than 70,000,

Its website boasting, quote,
with a commitment to academic and personal integrity,
the Spent School prepares a diverse community of girls and young women
for the lifelong transformation of self
in the world with purpose, passion, and perspective.
Apparently, some staff members may have missed the integrity memo.
School security reportedly tearing down the posters that morning,
only to see them reappear again by afternoon pickup.
Page 6, reporting the signs set off a friend
among parents, one telling the outlet, quote,
every group chat is blowing up. People are literally losing their minds.
A speculation swirled about who was behind the posters.
Page six reporting, get this.
It was the father of the allegedly scorned wife.
A source close to the father telling the outlet, quote,
he was very angry and took it upon himself to do it.
It's his daughter and his grandson, who are the victims.
The spent school declining to comment to page six.
Elite drama.
That'll do it for your AM update.
