Starting point is 00:00:01 Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything. Like packing a spare stick. I like to be prepared. That's why I remember, 988, Canada's suicide crisis helpline. It's good to know, just in case. Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder anytime. 988 suicide crisis helpline is funded by the government in Canada. When Westcham first took flight in 1996, the vibes were a bit different.
Starting point is 00:00:32 People thought denim on denim was peak fashion. Inline skates were everywhere. and two out of three women rocked, the Rachel. While those things stayed in the 90s, one thing that hasn't is that fuzzy feeling you get when WestJet welcomes you on board. Here's to WestJetting since 96. Travel back in time with us
Starting point is 00:00:47 and actually travel with us at westjet.com slash 30 years. This podcast is supported by TalkSpace. When my husband came home from his military deployment, readjusting was hard for all of us. Thankfully, I found Talkspace. Talkspace provides professional support from licensed therapists and psychiatric providers online.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Military members, veterans, and their dependents, ages 13 and older, can get fast access to providers, all from the privacy of their computers or smartphones. I just answered a few questions online, and TalkSpace matched me with a therapist. We meet when it's convenient for me, and I can message her anytime. It was so easy to set up, and they accept TRICARE. Therapy was going so well, my husband and I started seeing a couple's therapist through TalkSpace, too. Talkspace works with most major insurers, including TRICARE. Match with a licensed therapist today at Talkspace.com slash military.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Go to talkspace.com slash military to get started today. That's talkspace.com slash military. All hell is breaking loose now that Iran has rejected Donald Trump's 48-hour ultimatum, get out of the straight of Hormuz, or else we are going to unleash an attack on Iran's energy infrastructure. Iran responded, you do that. We're going after the energy infrastructure and other infrastructure of Arab nations that support the United States of America, to which Donald Trump is now escalating matters. And according to sources in Israel, a ground invasion of Iran appears to be imminent with those marine expeditionary units that are on their way to the Middle East.
Starting point is 00:02:33 So let's talk about what's gone down. And we also need to talk about something that's not getting nearly enough attention that the flow of LNG liquefied natural gas from the Gulf is expected to come to an abrupt end in the next 10 days. There will be no more LNG from the Middle East. That would be absolutely catastrophic. Let's talk about the sequence of events. Donald Trump makes the ultimatum, all caps, social media post, abandon the straight of Hermuz, Iran, or else, to which Iran says, you can threaten us, we're not responding to threats. And here's what foreign minister, Araji, of Iran, writes.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Straight of Hermuz is not closed. Ships hesitate because insurers fear the war of choice you initiated, not Iran. No insurer and no Iranian will be swayed by more threats. Try respect. Freedom of navigation cannot exist without freedom of trade, respect both or expect neither. The head of Iran's parliament, M.B. Galabaf writes, immediately after the power plants and infrastructure in our country are targeted, the critical infrastructure, energy infrastructure, and oil facilities throughout the region will be considered legitimate targets and will be destroyed in an irreversible manner. And the price of oil will remain high for a long time and throw down what is in your right hand. It will swallow up what they have made.
Starting point is 00:04:06 He also writes alongside military bases, those financial entities that finance the U.S. military budget are legitimate targets. U.S. treasury bonds are soaked in Iranians' blood. Purchase them and you purchase a strike on your headquarters and assets. We monitor your portfolios. This is your final notice. So we have these Marine Expeditionary units that are headed right now to the Middle East, as Israeli officials have been telling their local media. And I've also told the Washington Post, the Marines heading to Iran are not coming for decorations. And Israel is supporting this ultimatum to attack the energy infrastructure and for this ground invasion to take place.
Starting point is 00:04:50 The U.S. State Department then issued a worldwide caution to all. All Americans in the region. Group supportive of Iran may target you if you are in this region. Exercise caution. All Americans in the Middle East are now potential targets of Iran. Now, the Arab nations are now saying, we don't support any deal at all, Donald Trump, unless Iran is thoroughly destroyed. You can't leave this mess that you created until you fully defang Iran.
Starting point is 00:05:24 You can't declare one of your fake taco. Trump always chicken out victories and leave. We will never invest in the United States ever again if you do that. Say goodbye to all of your financial interests from the Middle East. Say goodbye because you leave, you abandon us. We are done. So they're saying, you better go all in, invade, see this to the end. We support you taking out Iran.
Starting point is 00:05:52 anything else we can't support because look what you've created in the Strait of Hermoos. You've set our countries back 10, 20, 30 years. So four senior Gulf officials are saying UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar are pressing for the war to continue until Iran's military capabilities are decisively weakened. The Times of Israel is reporting. Ending the war now with Iran still in possession of the tools, it is currently, you know, using to target the Gulf countries would be a strategic disaster. They are pushing Washington to keep striking, with others going further. A second official said Saudi Arabia and the UAE are even weighing whether to join U.S.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Israeli operations, but I think they want to see American Marines going first, die first for them before they consider joining this. The core demand is damage and degradation. Officials say Iran's missile and drone production must be dismantled, saying that even if Tehran retains the know-how after the war, generational damage would be sufficient. Still, the Gulf is not fully aligned. Oman is calling for de-escalation. Drop site reports. Officials say the UAE is driving the hardest line and others are less hawkish about how long the war should continue.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Now, Israel, of course, is saying, we fully support these troops. Go in there, invade, take over the Karg Island. We've got your back. Now, Mid-East Gulf oil producers are urging, as Bakar El Halabi explains, are urging the U.S. to address the disruption to oil flows through the Strait of Hermuz straight on, warning that interim measures, such as tapping into Iran's so-called oil on water, risk strengthening Tehran's position while leaving regional producers exposed. Senior Gulf officials say, and let's be clear when they say tackle it head on, they're saying
Starting point is 00:08:00 regime change, take over Carg Island. They don't use those words. You've created this mess. You've fixed that. The problem is that means that our brave soldiers, the men and women who are heading there, are risking their lives. And from all of the experts out there who have been reporting, on what an invasion and occupation of Karg Island and Iran would look like,
Starting point is 00:08:25 it would make the disasters in Iraq and Afghanistan look like peanuts compared to what would likely take place and the mass casualties our troops would face. But I think it's important that you understand that this escalation is now coming from the fact that Donald Trump, in my opinion has always been compromised based on his quid pro quo's amolument clause violations with the Middle East. Trump is now being pressured by these Middle East. We did pay for play. We've given you all of this.
Starting point is 00:09:00 We've done all of this for your family. Now you're just going to leave us to drive. You need to send these Marines in. Look what you've done to this region. We're going to screw you over and we're going to make sure you suffer if you don't send Marines. That is one of the big problems when the president puts his personal interest, in my opinion, above the interest of the country. Now, the CEO of Saudi Arabia's Aramco, the world's largest oil company, abruptly withdrew from one of the biggest energy conferences, which was set to take place in Houston today as the situation gets worse and worse and escalation heightens.
Starting point is 00:09:38 The conference was set for today when Donald Trump's ultimatum expires. And again, one thing to focus on as well, Faitukes and Khan News explained, we've been talking about this for a long time. Watch what happens in the Red Sea. The Houthis are waiting on their activation order from Iran. They've shown before capabilities of shutting down the Red Sea. Right now, the Strait of Hermuz in the Persian Gulf is being fully controlled by Iran. with an iron fist. If the Houthis control the Red Sea, forget about it. Oil, $200 a barrel in
Starting point is 00:10:15 no time right there. Why don't you listen to? If you don't want to listen to me, let's just say you're a MAGA person watching this when you're watching me for the first time. And you're like, I've heard that you're a lefty, progressive, whatever you want to say. Okay. Well, what about your own guy, Joe Kent, who was one of Donald Trump's top officials? He was Tulsi Gabbard's number two. By the way, I think Tulsi either resigns or gets fired this week or next week. We'll see if my predictions correct, but I think she'll be gone pretty soon, whether it's a day, two days a week, two months. I think she's gone soon. Well, Joe Kent was her right hand.
Starting point is 00:10:52 And Joe Kent, warning against escalation further, especially plans involving invading the Karg Island. He argued that sending U.S. troops there would be a major, major mistake. It would essentially be giving Iran a bunch of hostages. on an island that they could barrage with drones and missiles and also petrochemicals as well. Look, folks, Russia and Iran are also being very clear about their alliance with each other. Just in the past 24 to 48 hours, Russia's president Vladimir Putin congratulated Iran's president, Peschian, calling him a loyal friend and reliable partner in the region. They're not even hiding it, folks.
Starting point is 00:11:37 not even hiding it at all. Now look, this is super important. If you used Medicare.gov to get Medicare Advantage plan information, you may want to double check your plan. The provider directory had inaccurate information on it, and it's possible you signed up for a plan that doesn't actually cover your existing doctors. Listen, folks, it's easy to choose the wrong Medicare plan, and unfortunately, Medicare mistakes can cost you thousands of dollars. That's why we partner with with chapter. When you need to choose a Medicare plan, call them. They're the only national advisor that compares and recommends every Medicare plan across Medicare supplement, Medicare Advantage, and Part D. And they've helped people save over $1,100 on health care costs. In fact, they've helped
Starting point is 00:12:29 hundreds of you and they might as touch community save thousands and get better coverage. These guys won't push you to buy a plan you don't want to and their support is completely free. So if you're on Medicare or will be soon, call them at 82 Medicare. They'll help you understand enrollment options and find ways to save on your health care. Again, call them at 82 Medicare. Now, share with you what some French business leaders and former government officials had to say. Patrick Puyen, CEO of the French oil giant. in total energies cautioned against dragging out this war any longer, this Israel-U.S. war against Iran,
Starting point is 00:13:12 saying that we will have some real impacts and all of the economies of the world will be damaged. Frankly, we're already seeing that. Now, as the United Arab Emirates says, this makes our ties with Washington stronger. We must go all in on Washington. A former French ambassador Gerard Arud says, strange. It means deepening your dependence on. a country that has led yours into a disastrous conflict without caring about your interests. Meanwhile, Pope Leo XIV is calling for de-escalation, saying that this war in the Middle East is a
Starting point is 00:13:50 scandal to humanity. And we already know that Israel has obliterated Beirut in southern Lebanon and these suburban areas there. Israel's military generals say the war against Hezbollah is. is just beginning. Remember, they've called up 450,000 ground reservists. They change their law to allow for that. And whereas they say they're going after Hezbollah, which is a terrorist group,
Starting point is 00:14:17 they're killing hundreds, if not thousands, probably thousands of civilians in southern Beirut, doctors and mothers and children and fathers and not Hezbollah. Although they're targeting some Hezbollah, they just blow up the whole area, basically. And now they're threatening an invasion there. And the deaths also continue to pile up in Gaza. And we cannot forget that there was never a ceasefire in Gaza. And innocent babies and children and mothers and others continued to be killed in Gaza by the hundreds and the thousands since the ceasefire was announced. By the thousands, frankly, since the ceasefire has been announced, which I've always been saying here on the Midas Touch Network, was never a ceasefire at all.
Starting point is 00:15:04 I want to give us a few more data points that I think are very important. First, what I want to share with you is this Iranian spokesperson who went on Channel 4 News, spoke with well-known reporter Kathy Newman. And Kathy Newman says, hey, you're striking gas fields in Qatar. These aren't military targets. The Iranian spokesperson says, we're targeting U.S.-linked assets. Kathy goes, no, you're striking a gas field in Qatar. Qatar. The Iranian spokesperson says, don't interrupt me. Who struck our gas fields first? We're defending ourselves. Kathy goes, but a gas field isn't a military target. And the Iranian spokesperson says,
Starting point is 00:15:48 then why were ours being targeted? Meanwhile, the IRGC, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesperson, Ibrahim Zulf Gari mocked Donald Trump in English and said, you're fire, Donald, you're fired. Here, play this clip. Eteram, you are fired. You are familiar with this sentence. Thank you for your attention to this matter. The central headquarter of Khatam Olympia. Now, this isn't getting
Starting point is 00:16:15 a lot of attention, so we of course need to be focusing on it more here on the Midas Dutch Network. Cuba, remember, Donald Trump has put an embargo around Cuba, although Russia and others are providing Cuba with some support, and Donald Trump
Starting point is 00:16:31 is threatening an invasion of Cuba and he says he wants to take over Cuba. The Cuba government, Al Jazeera reports, says it's now prepared for war. It's prepared for U.S. attacks, and they say they are getting their military ready. Here's Cuba's deputy foreign minister saying that Cuba's military is preparing for the possibility of military aggression with the United States. And I think this isn't being talked about enough. But do you think that when Russia,
Starting point is 00:17:03 Russia brought over oil and supplies to Cuba that they potentially brought over Shahid drones made by Iran. While Donald Trump is refusing to stand up to Putin, would it shock you? I don't know whether this is true or not. I'm just using common sense here when these big Russian ships are pulling up to Cuba. Do you think maybe Russia is also dropping off some of its military specialists, some of its elite military unions, and also Shahid drones that are capable of striking the United States. I don't know, but knowing the history of the region and knowing how Russia plays these things,
Starting point is 00:17:45 that's probably what's going down. But here, play this clip. Our military is always prepared, and in fact it is preparing these days for the possibility of military aggression. We would be naive if looking at what's happening around the world, we will not do that. But we truly hope that it doesn't occur.
Starting point is 00:18:05 We don't see why it would have to occur. And we find no justification whatsoever. Why would the government, the United States, force its country to take military action against a neighboring country like you? And then I find this absolutely fascinating. Not sure the right word is fascinating. You could fill in the right word right here. You have Benjamin Netanyahu going on Israeli TV and also going on Fox yesterday. basically saying, Europe, you need to join Europe.
Starting point is 00:18:35 Look at the ballistic missile range that Iran was able to go after the military base in Diego Garcia. It should be noted that even NATO's Mark Rut, who's really demonstrating to be a Trump sycophant, even he and NATO are saying, we can't say for sure that this ballistic missile actually came from Iran. That's what NATO is saying, by the way, which I find fascinating that NATO is saying that. But here Netanyahu saying, Europe, we need you. And all these other countries, we need your help. Okay, well, then why didn't you and Donald Trump try to explain to them what the hell you were going to do before invading Iran and creating this crisis in the first place without doing it with our allies?
Starting point is 00:19:19 Here's what Netanyahu said. The third thing they did is they fired an intercontinental ballistic missiles 4,000 kilometers right into Diego Garcia, the American British base. they can reach now with these ballistic missiles everywhere in Europe, almost everywhere in Europe. I've been warning that for years. The fourth thing that they did is that they shut down the important maritime strait of Hormuz trying to blackmail the world with oil terror blackmail. Four things that they're doing in 48 hours. And I ask the leaders of the world, the leaders of the free world, the leaders of the
Starting point is 00:19:56 moderate states. What more are you waiting for? President Trump has correctly said that Israel, the United States and Israel in this great partnership, we're fighting the battle not only for ourselves, but for all of you. And he asked a simple question, where are you? And it's time to heed President Trump's call, his leadership, and his vision, not merely for our sake, but for your sake. Now, remember when Donald Trump said, well, whatever, you know, a reformer. We're he's like, we didn't strike the energy infrastructure. Israel did. We had nothing to do with it. Well, here was Netanyahu yesterday saying, whatever we do, we do together. The U.S. and Israel are always on the same page of all strikes. So remember when Donald Trump's like, we didn't know
Starting point is 00:20:42 who did the South Pars energy facility destruction? We didn't do it. And then Iran retaliated by hitting the northern energy fields of Qatar, basically destroying what, 23rd? 30% of that facility, which is responsible for 20% of LNG, liquefine natural gas, and massive portions of that were destroyed. Well, anyway, here's what he says, whatever we do, we do together. Play this clip. Overnight President Trump said that if in 48 hours the Iranians don't open the Strait of Hormuz, that there will be strikes against the power grids in Iran. Will you participate in those strikes? And what do you think should happen next in this campaign?
Starting point is 00:21:24 I think President Trump knows exactly what he's doing, and whatever we do, we do together, and as far as possible, in confidence. As the Prime Minister was leaving, I asked him about President Trump, and he talked about the great relationship that these two leaders have amid Operation Epic Fury. The operation has now entered week four, and we do anticipate heavier strikes against the Iranian regime in the hours and days ahead. Now finally, you have Netanyahu saying, look what Iran has done. Look what they've done. They're targeting our civilians here. Look how they've destroyed. This shows you how not legitimate they are. Now, let's be very clear. Of course, we should condemn in the strongest terms, Iran targeting civilian infrastructure and shooting rockets and Shaheeds at civilians. Absolutely. At the same time, Israel has killed 75,000 or more, mostly innocent people, mostly all innocent people in Gaza, in one of the biggest and most despicable massacres in the history of humankind. So we also need to condemn that in the strongest terms as well. It is, when I watch this, I go, seriously, what about Gaza?
Starting point is 00:22:49 Anyway, here play this clip of Netanyahu. Let's play it. If you want proof that Iran endangers the entire world, the last 48 hours have given it. In the last 48 hours, Iran targeted a civilian area. They're doing that as a mass murder weapon. Luckily, no one was killed, but that's due to luck. Not their intention. Their intention is to murder civilians.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Second, they are using, they fired on Jerusalem right next to the Holy See, sites of the three monotheistic face. The Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulch, and the Alaksa Mosque, and by dint of a miracle, again, none of them were hurt, but they were targeting the holy sites of the three major monotheistic religions. Third, they fired an intercontinental ballistic missile on Diego Garcia. That's 4,000 kilometers. I've been warning all the time.
Starting point is 00:23:42 They have now the capacity to reach deep into Europe. They already have fired on the European country, Cyprus. They are putting everyone in their sights. And fourth, they're stopping a maritime international route, energy route, and trying to blackmail the entire world. What more proof do you need that this regime that threatens the entire world has to be stopped? Israel and the United States are working together for the entire world. Well, there you have it, folks. Let me know what you think about all of this.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Hit subscribe. Let's get to 7 million subscribers. And thank you all for watching this. appreciate you for watching this.
