Former President Joe Biden breaking his silence, speaking out powerfully against Donald Trump to a packed house giving him a standing ovation. He spoke in front of the LGBTQ Rights Forum in Washington, D.C. His speech was an apotheosis to empathy, to democracy, to hope, and to fighting back against this Trump regime. Gestapo, let's take a look at what former President Biden said at this incredible speech. And he spoke to young people too. And he said, I know there are young people right now who may be scrolling through social media to know, am I loved during these dark times under the Trump regime. And I'm here to tell you that you are and that we stand with you here.

Right now, in no small part because of the victory in our national debate, the young people sitting alone at home as I speak, literally, hang closed doors, scrolling through. through social media, staring at the ceiling,

wondering, literally, wondering whether they've been there's talking, you are, and I've talked to many of these young women and women, wondering whether will they ever be loved, will they ever marry, will ever have a family, ever truly be accepted for who they are. So my message of young people is this, just be you be who you are you are love

you're heard and you're increasingly understanding you belong you belong you belong I mean it things are changing folks that's what a leader does

the people, as opposed to Donald Trump, who uses the government in his regime to inflict pain to cruelly target the LGBT community, marginalized communities, frankly, anybody other than his billionaire oligarch buds, then you have former President Biden talking about his record, creating 16 million new jobs and unemployment dropping to a 50-year low. Contrast that to what's going on under this Trump regime. Job losses up 53%, the highest, or 54%, the highest since the Great Recession. 1.1 million jobs have been lost.

Inflation is surging under this Trump regime. That was not the case under Biden who brought down unemployment, who's fighting for our economy. Your play this clip. As we work so damn hard to do during my administration. In those four years, we created 16 million new jobs. Unemployment dropped to a 50-year low.

We lowered the price of everything from health care to cost to college to junk fees and airline tickets and credit cards. We made a lot of progress. We had so much more we had to do to make life affordable for every American. And it's this work that's motivated so many of you to step up, put your name on the ballot, and run for office. LGBT candidates across the country are not only to ensure equality for every American, but also to ensure that every American has access to opportunities they deserve. That's why many of us in this room today. We also know that the fight ahead is about more than equality. It's about opportunity. It's about opportunity.

And so you've heard me say before, and when I was growing up, whenever something bad happened, I used to be a stutter and people who made a lot of fun of you, a lot of other things. My dad would look and say, Joey, just get up. Get up, Joey. Get up. Get up.

Well, folks, that's my message to all of us today. To all who love our country, to all, all of us are just made by the present state of the Union. This is no time to give them. It's time to get up. Get up and fight back. Get up. Continue to fight. And what's the fight all about?

It's not high price. It's about protecting the Constitution. It's about protecting the Constitution. Some of your old enough to remember back in 2012, I went to meet the press. Got myself in a bit of trouble. But good trouble. You know, I just couldn't remain silent anymore. We had this whole plan to let this. things by, anyway.

I told the truth. I expressed my support for gay marriage. A little earlier than some folks had been expecting it. While that comment got all the attention. And folks, he talks about how there's still a lot of work to do, a lot of challenges ahead of us. Keep the hope in the face of everything. Keep the hope. Here, play this clip.

Today, though, we know there's much more work to do, and the challenges ahead can feel daunting, particularly in the face of everything we're seeing coming out of this reactionary in White House. You know, we're all here today for the same reason. Same reason. It's all because we believe in the power of our democracy to pull the nation together. You know, our worst moments actually were the only country in the world that's constantly. through every crisis and come out stronger than we went into the crisis. Every time. America's only country also is founded on an idea. We're unique. Not a joke. It's not just,

you know, Mayor, it's true. We're the only country founded on idea. Every other country in the world is founded on geographic boundaries, religion, ethnicity, but we're an idea. A strong idea, a stronger and more powerful than any dictator or any army. And that in America, we hold these truths to be self-evident. All deserve the truth throughout their lives. And all of us, each and every one of us, deserves that. Now, as I was watching former President Biden there, I just was reflecting on the interview that I did with him at this exact time last year. Remember, I did that interview in the Roosevelt room in the White House with him, and I asked him what he wanted his legacy to be. His words have stuck with me today, that he wants his legacy to be, that he's someone who kept his word.

He's someone who when he said he was going to do something, he did it. And to me, these words are so powerful because this current regime is all about fraud. It's all about fake deals, fake peace medals, cover-ups. Here's what former President Biden said to me when he was still the president of the United States, and I interviewed him at the Roosevelt Room, play this clip. When history is all told, how do you want to be remembered? What do you want your legacy to be?

I kept my word that when I said I was going to do something, I did. And that my focus has always been about how to give ordinary people a shot. You've probably heard me say it before. My dad, you say, Joey, your job's about a lot more than the paycheck. It's about your dignity. It's about respect. It's about being a look at your kidney eye and say, I'm going to be okay and mean it. It's about being able to be yourself and focus on people and need some help. And the vast majority of American people, all they want is a chance, just a chance, and they'll do fine. You see hope? I do. I am hopeful. Now, can we just contrast for a moment? That speech from former President Biden at the same time. Donald Trump was giving himself fake peace

medals from FIFA. And then Donald Trump was doing a White House concert event for himself, talking about where the hottest country were so hot. Everyone thinks we're hot. And he's like, when I spoke in front of FIFA and I said, aren't we hot? Nobody objected to the hotness. So thus we must be hot. Here, play this clip. Done with the hottest. I said it this morning. A year ago, we were a dead. country. And now with the hottest country anywhere in the world, and that's said by every single leader in the world. And I said it this morning the same thing. And we had a lot of the world's leaders there at FIFA. And nobody stood up and objected. Nobody smiled. Nobody rolled their eyes

with the hottest country anywhere in the world. And contrast former President Biden's speech to what Donald Trump says. I mean, think about this past week. Donald Trump attacked the Somalians, all of them. He said, the Somalian people are garbage. He goes, they're garbage people who contribute nothing. But just think about the message that that sends. How racist, xenophobic, hateful, that is. But here's what Donald Trump said to your play this clip. I'm understanding, and you're going to look at that's good. I hear they ripped off Somalians, ripped off that state for billions of dollars, billions. every year billions of dollars and they contribute nothing the welfare is like 88 percent

they contribute nothing i don't want them in our country i'll be honest with you okay somebody who said oh that's not politically correct i don't care i don't want them in our country their country's no good for a reason their country stakes and we don't want them in our country i could say that about other countries too and with Donald Trump's behavior, we've seen him crash in the polls. We've seen him lose support amongst young people. Take a look at this. Gives you a little glimpse of Trump's crashing poll numbers. This among young people here play this clip. Huge. I mean, just take a look at Donald Trump's net approval rating among those under the age of 30. You go back to February. It was plus 10 points.

Look at this drop. I'm laughing because it's down to minus 46 points on the net approval. that is a drop of 56 points among voters under the age of 30. Is there any historic, historically analogous to me? This type of drop happening so quickly is just, you know I spend my days in the spreadsheet, you just don't see drops like that.
