But on the last Political Beatdown, we did it right after Michael Cohen left the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. It was his 16th time visiting the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. It was the second time with the new team of investigators established by Alvin Bragg. Cohen also mentioned that he would be meeting for a 17th time next week with the team of investigators and Alvin Bragg at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. And Cohen said, although Cohen couldn't get into the specifics, that he felt accountability was coming, which I interpreted to mean indictments will be coming very, very soon out of the Manhattan District

Attorney's Office against Donald Trump for at least some of his tax fraud schemes. And this is what Donald Trump wrote about the Manhattan District Attorney's Office right after Michael Cohen appeared on the Midas Touch Network. Donald Trump writes the following, the Democrats have really weaponized the Department of Injustice, even sending political operatives to work in the Manhattan DA's office. They want to get Trump, he puts get in capital this way, because they know they can't beat me at the polls. They've been after me for years with hoaxes and witch hunts, but as I become more and more popular, at least partially because of the contrast between now and just hunts, but as I become more and more popular, at least partially

because of the contrast between now and just three years ago, it only gets more dangerous and worse. America will not become a Marxist nation. Oh, I remember three years ago where we couldn't even buy freaking toilet paper because you were so incompetent and you said, like a miracle, COVID is just going to disappear. That was the plan that you had. Just like a miracle, inject yourself with bleach. That's what Americans need to do. The constant disinformation that you spread, the complete incompetence within which you failed to lead was utterly destructive. You are less popular now than you have ever been. The malignant narcissism in you,

for you to believe that you think Americans want you back, maybe there is a very small percentage of the American population that believes in QAnon, which is still supportive of you. You have a cult. There's no doubt about that. You've turned the Republican Party into a cult, but as we saw in the midterms,

even though the cult wants to get more cultish, America is moving further and further away from that radical, extreme, weirdo fascism that you stand for, standing for nothing and standing against the United States of America. Play the clip. So, Ben, 16. I mean, this was the 16th meeting that I had with the district attorney's team. I can't really emphasize enough the quality of the individuals that are there that are asking me the questions. They really are truly a spectacular team.

They are as good, to be very honest, as the previous team, caught up to speed in a relatively short period of time, even though that there was the lag in between the last series when I was meeting with the Pomerantz team versus now the Bragg team, I do have to say that they are caught up. We are delving into, as far as questions that are being asked of me, we are so now deep into the minutia that I can't really see much more before which either they use me or they don't. And obviously, you'll all know if, in fact, it's the latter, which will obviously make people pretty upset, myself included.

But one of the things I will share with our brigade is that I am now going back again for the 17th time next week. The exact date, can't release it at the moment, mostly because I'm not 100% sure. It's one of two days. But I will be back again for the 17th time. And again, we are so now deep into the minutia that I can't see anymore. You know, to use another metaphor, again, with the aviation and in transportation, I mean, we started at, what, 35,000 feet, like an aircraft traveling.

And we are now in landing mode, and we are getting really close to the runway for destination hopefully zero. And that's really where we stand right now. It's quite exciting, to be very honest with you, because the questions that they ask are so on point and they are so damaging and injurious to individuals who should be and should have been held accountable, that the fact that they may be held accountable really gives me hope

in not just our Justice Department, but also with this investigation. And so when you're talking about it landing, when you extend that metaphor, it is landing in the place in your mind of accountability. Could we leave it at that? Yes, I think that's definitely a great way to put it, Ben. Thank you for wordsmithing my very, let's just call it high-flying metaphors. You know, one of the things that Cohen talks about on the political beatdown as well, and I think it's just an objective reality, the Department of Justice was never more weaponized than under Donald Trump. I mean, you had Bill Barr, who literally was hired to attack Donald

Trump's political enemies. The Department of Justice was used as a private law firm by Donald Trump to attack political enemies like Michael Cohen and others. You had a Durham investigation where he failed to secure a single conviction in trial, lost in humiliating fashion, where they said, we're going to find the origins of the Russia investigation. The only criminality they found was a tip from Italian officials who said that Donald Trump was engaged in financial fraud, and then Bill Barr and John Durham covered it up for Donald Trump. That's the true weaponized Department of Justice, because anything Donald Trump says is completely, completely projection. But one of the individuals from the Department of Justice who is working at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office now, which is actually a very good sign

for the prosecution of Donald Trump, is Matthew Colangelo. And Colangelo didn't just arrive at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office because Colangelo previously served in the New York Attorney General's Office as the Chief Counsel for Federal Initiatives and as Executive Deputy Attorney General for Social Justice. And one of the things that Colangelo did was help build the case in the special proceeding against Donald Trump, which led to New York Attorney General Letitia James ultimately filing the $250 million fraud lawsuit, the civil case set to go to trial on October 3rd of 2023, seeking at least $250 million, and which would shut down the Trump organization from effectively doing business in the state of New York. Colangelo built that case. So when Colangelo moved within the past three or four months from the Department of Justice into the Manhattan District Attorney's

Office, prior to that, Colangelo was specifically investigating Donald Trump's fraud and so has a very unique insight into it. And Colangelo became the acting associate attorney general within the Department of Justice on January 20th, 2021, and held that position up until he just got the new job in December of 2022 with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. And obviously, Donald Trump is absolutely and completely and utterly freaking out because of that. And I do predict Manhattan District Attorney indictments will happen, my prediction, before May, but probably right around the March, April, May, maybe June. But we will see indictments before the summer by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. I have no doubt about it. I don't have any inside information about it. It's just when

you see meetings that are taking place shorter and shorter and shorter, like we're seeing with Cohen, that just leads me to predict that that's likely where it's headed. We know that there's a very serious team conducting that investigation. Just another thing,

just so you see all of the disinformation that Trump injects, as the inflation reduction plan that Biden implemented is actually decreasing inflation, it's addressing systemic issues on a global scale, frankly, that were created by Donald Trump's incompetent economic policies that had a ripple effect on the whole entire world, like his failed trade wars and all the ridiculous things he did. Trump's projection continues. So Trump writes, has anyone noticed that inflation is getting worse? Just asking. Just asking. No, it's actually decreasing. It's still a very serious issue.

It's still a very serious problem, but leaders don't just ask. Leaders act. Leaders take decisive steps to try to solve problems that other people may create like you. And that's exactly what President Biden did. As Joe Biden posted, annual inflation has fallen for seven straight months, but there's still more work to do. I'm focused on continuing to lower costs for families, creating American manufacturing jobs, eliminating junk fees. Let's finish the job. And here's what the White House Twitter account also wrote. Grocery price inflation is down from last month. Annual inflation is down for the seventh straight month. Gas prices are down $1.60 from their peak last year. President Biden's economic plan is working. And just compare that to the MAGA Republicans. This is what Democratic Congress

member Ted Lieu said about the MAGA Republicans. They is what Democratic Congress member Ted Lieu said about the MAGA Republicans. They claim they want to fight inflation, but their proposal, 30% national sales tax, would hurt everyday families with higher bills at the grocery counter and the gas pump. So folks, it's clear. That's why I want to show you like normal posts from Biden. And I show you these unhinged, deranged, not fit to be anywhere near leadership positions that impact the lives of our communities, our families, our loved ones, our friends. Donald Trump. I mean, it's night and day. We need people focused on issues and adults in the room.

That's ultimately at the end of the day why I'm supportive of the Democratic Party right now. It's because do I agree with them on every issue? No. But are they adults in the room trying to address problems? Yes. And that is critical and important. And they're not talking like maniacs. It's not QAnon. It's not this weirdo-ness and this fascism and this election denialism and insurrectionist. It's not QAnon. It's not this weird onus and this fascism and this election denialism and insurrectionist. It's normal. And I could disagree with it, but it's adults. It's normalcy. It's humanity. It's decency. And that's what I like about the Democratic Party right now. That's an important thing to me.
