This occurred last month, and the subpoena relates to Rudy Giuliani's affiliation with the Save America political action Committee that Donald Trump started, which raised over, or should I say, grifted over $250 million from donors, or should I say,
Starting point is 00:02:15 cult members based on Donald Trump's statement that he was going to overturn the free and fair election, or that he was going to utilize them for court cases, but in fact, he used them to spread disinformation and to foment a violent insurrection on January 6th. Now, we've been talking a lot about the multi-prong investigation by special counsel Jack Smith, and this prong relates to the financial fraud, campaign contribution violation prong. And this is being led by a former top prosecutor out of New York who went to Maine Justice and is now with the special counsel's office, David Rohde, who is in charge of this. Now, David Rohde's reputation as a prosecutor in New York was handling the most complex gang and conspiracy cases. Now, Rohde is responsible for the portfolio
Starting point is 00:03:12 of special counsel Jack Smith's investigation relating to these financial crimes. And even though Rudy Giuliani was subpoenaed for these records last month. We were just learning about him very recently based on reporting by CNN, and this has been confirmed by multiple other sources. Now, what we know is that Rudy Giuliani was demanding that Donald Trump or the Save America organization pay him $20,000 a day, and ultimately that request was denied. Rudy Giuliani was still paid through Rudy Giuliani partners and various other affiliated entities through other Donald Trump PACs, as well as the Trump campaign. But here, one of the things that special counsel
Starting point is 00:04:01 Jack Smith is focused on, and he seems to have a hunch that perhaps Rudy Giuliani has not been fully forthcoming in the money he did or didn't receive here is to determine the potential financial crimes that were engaged in by Donald Trump utilizing the Save America organization that, as I said, raised approximately $250 million, or as I said, grifted $250 million. So different prongs going on here and different crimes being investigated. So just to break it down, on the one hand, you have these financial crimes through the Save
Starting point is 00:04:39 America Political Action Committee, campaign contribution violations, financial fraud. That's under David Rohde's purview. fake or fraudulent electors had their names submitted on January 6th to be certified instead of the actual electors based on states that President Joe Biden won. And the plan was to either have the state legislatures certify the fake electors or to convince Pence to do it. When Pence wouldn't do it, it was one of the reasons that led to the violent insurrection to try to block what was happening on January 6th, block the counting of the electoral votes, and then to throw it to the legislators. That was one of the plans. So the fake elector scheme, financial fraud, intimidation of state and local election officials, everything from Donald Trump extorting Brad Raffensperger in Georgia to Donald Trump and his team calling election officials in places like
Starting point is 00:05:54 Wisconsin and Nevada and Michigan. And I can go on, but one of the recent batches of documents that special counsel Jack Smith got was new documents from Clark County, Nevada, as well as documents from Milwaukee County in Wisconsin. And then he's also been in touch with election officials in Arizona, election officials in Michigan, election officials in Pennsylvania, election officials in Georgia. So there's that prong as well. And finally, there's the insurrection prong, what actually transpired on the day of the violent insurrection, the day of the coup itself. So those are the various prongs taking place. And here, with this subpoena to Rudy Giuliani, with this focus on the financial crimes, we see how wide ranging the scope of special counsel Jack Smith's criminal investigation is. We also just see, and this is something I referenced in a prior video, the dream team of top lawyers that special counsel Jack Smith is assembling. And he's
Starting point is 00:06:59 specifically putting together gang and conspiracy prosecutors who are used to prosecuting mafia-style prosecutions with the top public corruption prosecutors. And some of the top public corruption prosecutors include people like Ray Holzer and David Harback, both who had top jobs at the public integrity section while Jack Smith was there, close colleagues, former colleagues of Jack Smith. And so they've been brought on to special counsel Jack Smith's team to investigate some of the threats that were taking place to the state and local election officials, as well as the fake elector scheme, among other things. So you see special counsel Jack Smith putting Ray Hulser, David Harback, David Rohde, amongst others, together and really assembling this dream team here.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Ultimately, Rudy Giuliani's lawyers play dumb and they say, we don't know what you're talking about with this subpoena. But wide-ranging investigation, a broader criminal conspiracy being investigated, focusing on financial and campaign contribution crimes, focusing on the grift that took place in addition to all of these other aspects. And so we will keep you posted here on the Midas Touch Network as we learn more, as more information develops. There are many who are predicting that indictments will be coming in the next several weeks. I still think the timing looks more like April or May for criminal indictments. We shouldn't also forget that down in Fulton County, Georgia, Fonny Willis recently submitted the special grand jury report to Judge McBurney. There is now some briefing taking place in Georgia about whether that report by the special grand jury will be made public.
Starting point is 00:09:00 That is a report of recommendations to indict certain individuals. It's unclear who those individuals are because for now that report remains confidential. We'll see if it ultimately is made public by the judge. I think it will. The judge just asked for briefing to be completed by the end of January. And who is Fannie Willis going to indict? I think those indictments can happen in the next four to 12 weeks. And will it be the fake electors?
Starting point is 00:09:28 Will it be the fake electors and people close to Donald Trump? The fake electors, people close to Donald Trump and Donald Trump? How aggressive is Fannie Willis' investigation going to be? And so while you have Fannie Willis in Georgia, Special Counsel Jack Smith with at least two criminal grand juries investigating Donald Trump in Washington, D.C. The Manhattan District Attorney's Office, I think, is a little bit of a sleeper right now in who's going to indict first. Hot off their win against the Trump Organization, which was convicted of 17 separate felony indictment counts, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office seems poised to criminally indict Donald Trump as they've criminally indicted Steve Bannon on the We Build the Wall scheme because Bannon was pardoned by Donald Trump for the federal prosecution of Bannon for the alleged crimes relating to Bannon stealing money for himself from the We Build the Wall
Starting point is 00:10:36 scheme to build a wall that was never actually built. But I think the Manhattan DA's office may be the first one to indict Donald Trump on financial crimes, not related to January 6th, but Trump's fraudulent valuations of his properties and his other tax-related crimes that we've talked a lot about on the Midas Touch Network, which were revealed in his tax filings, how he inflated valuations to rip off states and to provide improper benefits. And we see that the jury in New York absolutely hated Donald Trump's legal team. And it was rather easy for the Manhattan District Attorney to utterly destroy the Trump Organization lawyers, which really kind of pierced any veneer that Trump's got good lawyers or tough lawyers. They crumbled
Starting point is 00:11:25 very quickly before the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. So we'll keep you posted on all of these various developments on the Midas Touch Network. I'm Ben Micellis.
