I'm Ben Mycelis from the Midas Touch Network. Over this past weekend, we held a meetup with our Patreon supporters. It was an exclusive Zoom where anyone who signed up on our Patreon website, our patrons, could join the Zoom, could meet us, and could ask us any question at all. We've been doing this each and every month now. We will continue to do it each and every month. I want to show you an exchange, though, that I had with one of our patrons. Her name is Sue, and she asked such an incredible question. And the way she articulated the pro-democracy messaging here left me and my brothers so impressed that I asked her, I said, Sue, can we share this exchange with all of our Midas Mighty, with everyone in the YouTube community and everybody in the Twitter community and everyone in our TikTok community. I just want everybody to see
Starting point is 00:02:25 the point we've always made here on the Midas Touch Network, that you are the solution, that you hold the key to ensuring the survival and protection of the pro-democracy community against the attacks by the right-wing MAGA Republicans. So I want to show you this exchange right now that I had with our patron, Sue. But before doing that really quickly, I want to let you know, if you want to join these meetups, all you got to do is go to patreon.com slash MidasTouch,
Starting point is 00:02:57 P-A-T-R-E-O-N.com slash MidasTouch, join any of the memberships there. Those memberships is how the Midas Touch network is funded. We don't have any outside investors. It's funded through Patreon. So if you can join one of the memberships there, not only will you help fund the Midas Touch network, but you could participate in those exclusive meetups and ask me questions the same way Sue did right there. Again, we took every question that was asked. Everybody whose hand was raised got to ask us questions. We responded to
Starting point is 00:03:30 each and every one. Now let me play this exchange that I had with Sue. Play the clip. Sue, you're up. My question is, when are we going to get someone that can message as well as the Republicans? Because as much as I despise the whole MAGA cult, you got to give it to them. They know how to message and we don't. Now, Tucker is apparently Monday and Tuesday night, he's already advertising that he's going to release the truth because he has these J6 tapes, right? Who knows what's going to come out Monday and Tuesday. So even though all the bad things Fox did, people are going to put that in the background. They're going to say, listen, how is he going to edit it? Of course, he's going to message it to suck these people
Starting point is 00:04:15 back in. Who are we going to get to counter this? And we've been saying this for years, because at the reality, if you break all this down, you take away the culture war, what you want to say is, listen, people, you may not approve of gay marriage. It doesn't matter. Don't get married to a gay person. Let the people do whatever they want to do, right? Go and live your life. But what does matter to you, to me, to the person next door is having affordable healthcare, going to the grocery store and being able to stand online and buy something. You know, I'm fortunate. I am in a situation where I can afford to do that. But what about the people who can't? What about the people who have to make a decision of whether they could put gas in their car or buy food for their family. That is what you should be
Starting point is 00:05:05 looking at a politician to do for you. Not worrying about if there's going to be drag hour at the library. What's the problem with that? You don't want to go and see it? Don't take your kids. Other than that, move on. Everybody should have an individual choice of what they want to go to see and what they don't want to see. But let's really break it down to, am I going to have my social security there when I'm ready to retire? Am I going to have affordable health care if I get sick? Am I going to be able to afford to put food on the table for my children? Will I have a job? That's where the Democrats fall short and don't get out there and message because if you take everything else away, that's really what's important to people.
Starting point is 00:05:50 And that's my question. Sue, I think that's so incredibly powerfully stated right there. And I couldn't agree more with you. One of the things we're trying to do here on the Midas Touch Network, and of course, we've seen you on the YouTube chat and you've been there. I've been with you guys since the beginning. I'm like, yes. And you've seen, but I think in seeing us from the beginning, one of the things I think you've seen is the development of the media network, brick by brick from when you were in the chat room and there were what early on 200 people in the chat room and now you started with popok with the legal analysis which was amazing you
Starting point is 00:06:32 know and and just breaking it down for people and and and now in those rooms you know concurrently we're talking about eight to fourteen thousandrence, depending on the show, which, by the way, beats ABC, Fox, Sky News, BBC, and all of those timeframes. And the ratings of a Midas Touch podcast right now actually is bigger than an MSNBC show, some of them, shows and certain Fox shows. So if you look at our ratings on a one-to-one, more people are tuned into the Midas Touch Network now than the major large networks. And the question is why? And the answer is for everything you just said, because people are tired of getting a diet of bullshit and they want the truth. They want to be talked to like human beings with civility and decency and intelligence. People want to be
Starting point is 00:07:33 treated intelligently. And on the one hand, Fox injecting disinformation. On the other hand, large media networks, both sides in the issues that by the time you're done with the four minutes before they go to an ad, you watch it and you go, what the heck was this? It's two angry people. I don't even know what the issue is. So reframing the way the media is done is now our life's mission. So one of the things are who are going to be those messengers. I would say that's the goal of the Midas Touch Network. And who are the people who can help become the messengers by treating it not as a sterile media network, but by treating it as a community, which is what this is. Then all of you and the millions of people who watch are the messengers. Last month in 28 days of February,
Starting point is 00:08:26 we had 70,580,000 views on YouTube, over 70 million views with an average of over two and a half million views every day. That beats Tucker Carlson. It beats Hannity, it beats all of those shows each and every day. Then if we can channel that as a community versus a network with zombies, but as a community of pro-democracy loving people, then there's an exponential growth of the movement. So on the media side, we need to deconstruct and reconstruct. And that's frankly our mission at the network. But then when we speak about politicians, I am heartened by the fact that people like Hakeem Jeffries and Jamie Raskin and Dan Goldman and AOC. Hakeem Jeffries is fantastic. He's got that message.
Starting point is 00:09:18 You know, he's point. He's on point. He's done a great job. You know, and, you know, and I've seen at these committee hearings, which is why we devote a lot of time on the network to it, this Democratic messaging now saying everything that you just said. And and in these forums that look more like the Midas Touch Network forums than Fox, you're able to get the truth out in these meaningful ways. And we want to platform them here as well. But I feel directionally right now, to answer your question also, where the Democrats are with Hakeem and with Dan Goldman and with Jamie Raskin and with great governors also like in Michigan with I think Gretchen Whitmer's like a great governor frankly with other with you know
Starting point is 00:10:14 I thought I thought J.D. Pritzker's takedown of DeSantis was incredible that we highlighted here but you know if you just rely on large media networks, they want to do the whole oh, the DeSantis, he won massive. They love him in Florida. It's like, F that. Why are we talking about Gretchen Whitmer? Why are we talking about J.D. Pritzker? Why are we talking about great governors, Democratic governors in states who are doing great for their state and good for their state at the same time. And it's because the media is infected. They're not doing their job. They're not doing it right. So we've got to become the change agent, ultimately. We just need more people out there saying it. We need more people
Starting point is 00:10:58 out there who can really, whether it be soundbites or however, because really the Republicans won that messaging war and we need to take back the control. So now you see why I wanted to show you that. That was an incredible exchange. I want to thank Sue. I want to thank everybody who joined us there on the exclusive Patreon meetup. And I want to thank all of you, everybody watching here, the Midas Mighty. I'd love for you, if you can, no pressure if you can, to join our Patreon community. Starting point is 00:11:46 on the next Zoom meetup that we hold. You could ask us questions. And again, we made sure to answer each and every question, but I wanted to highlight that question that was asked there by Sue. I thought it was an incredible question. I think that the way she articulated the messaging was an A plus. and I think that is how
Starting point is 00:12:07 we all feel. I think she channeled exactly how the Midas might. That's how I feel. It was so incredible to have that exchange, and I'm so glad I could share it with you.
