On Tuesday, Donald Trump gave speeches in both Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. And during his speech in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Donald Trump tried to exploit the death, exploit the murder of a young woman, 25 years old, named Ruby Garcia, who was murdered by someone named Brendan Ortiz Vitae, who Garcia had a relationship with. Unclear if it was a boyfriend- girlfriend relationship. Ruby Garcia's sister, Mavi Garcia, says that it was more of acquaintances,

is how she would describe it. But during the speech, Donald Trump lied. What else is new? But he claimed he spoke to the family of Ruby Garcia, which was completely and entirely false. And now Mavi Garcia, Ruby Garcia's sister, is speaking out and saying that Donald Trump is trying to exploit their family, exploit the murder as a way to launch xenophobic attacks on the immigrant community. Mavi Garcia says that of course she wishes Brendan Ortiz Vitae did not ever show up to

the United States of America and stayed in Mexico. But she says that Donald Trump trying to scapegoat all immigrants and not address the fact that crimes can be committed by all Americans, not just immigrants, is something that she thinks is just utterly despicable that he's trying to use the murder of his sister and lie about having a meeting with her sister, which did not take place at all. Let me show you the portion of Donald Trump's speech where he starts talking about the murder of Ruby Garcia. This is how he brings it up. Let's play this clip. Now, Ruby's loved ones and community are left grieving for this incredible young woman, remembering what they

called her. They said she had just this most contagious laughter. And when she walked into a room, she lit up that room. And I've heard that from so many people. I spoke to some of her family. And then Donald Trump moves on in the speech to say that he actually had spoken with Ruby Garcia's family and that they had told him all of these various things. Let's play that portion of Donald Trump's speech from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Play this clip. On March 22nd, he shot 17 year old Ruby.

Actually she was a beautiful, beautiful young woman. Ruby Garcia was shot multiple times. Now, Target 8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, they do some great local journalism right there. And she says, nobody's ever spoken with Trump, he's totally lying and it just made her even more heartbroken when Donald Trump tried to exploit the murder of her sister and exploit their family to launch a xenophobic attack

on all immigrants. This is Mavi Garcia and hat tip again to Ken Kolker from Target 8 catching up with her play this clip. He did not speak with any of us so it was kind of shocking seeing that he had said that he had spoke with us and you know saying well misinforming people live TV. Shocking. I kind of stopped watching it. I only seen up to that after I heard a couple of misinformation that he has said. I kind of just stopped watching it. Now, Ruby Garcia, her body was found on US 131 in Grand Rapids. Brendan Ortiz Vitae has admitted to the murder. He has confessed to the murder.

And again, there was some reporting that he may have been her boyfriend. Mavi Garcia says that they were acquaintances. As we look at Donald Trump's speech though in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was filled with xenophobic attacks after xenophobic attacks, also mixed with Donald Trump having cognitive glitches. For example, here Donald Trump, in attacking immigrants, says that if you have illegal aliens invade your home, that Trump is going to deport you. He's going to deport you. Here, play the clip.

You know why? Because I'm the one that's going to keep them safe. They like to say, well, the suburban housewives, I don't know. I think I do great with the suburban housewives because they want to. And then Donald Trump said that if he doesn't win on November 5th, he says the United States of America will cease to exist. And again, this is after he went on the tirades of how immigrants are invading the country and he's protecting the suburban women from the immigrants. Play the clip.

Because if we don't win on November 5th, I think our country is going to cease to exist. It could be the last election we ever have. I actually mean that we don't win. I think this could be the last election we ever have. That's where our country's going. Finally, Donald Trump attacks Michigan and says that your streets are bad, everything is bad here. bad. So we see this pattern with Donald Trump over and over again, trying to exploit tragedy for political gain. We see Donald Trump always trying to insinuate himself during election years, whether they're at funerals or trying to get the photo ops, as opposed to actually demonstrating that he truly cares at all. Let me just share with you again the article right here. This is from Target 8. Family of woman found dead on highway, angered by Donald Trump's speech. The sister of murder victim Ruby Garcia said she and her family were home watching live in disbelief as former President Donald Trump told an audience in Grand Rapids that he had spoken with some of her family. Quote, he did not speak with any of us, so it was kind of shocking seeing that he had said that he had spoke with us and misinforming people

on TV. Mavi Garcia tells Target 8, Mavi Garcia, the family spokesperson said, "'Neither Trump nor anybody from his campaign "'has contacted her or anybody in her immediate family.' "'She said her family is close "'and she would know if that happened.' "'It was shocking. "'I kind of stopped watching.

"'I'd only seen up to that "'after I heard a couple of misinformation "'that Trump was saying. "'I just stopped watching.' "'Tr Trump spent some of his speech on Tuesday focusing on immigration, turning to the March 22nd murder of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia. Court records show Brandon Ortiz Vitae, who was in the U.S. illegally confessed to killing her and dumping her along the U.S. 131 in Grand Rapids. While police say the two were boyfriend and girlfriend, Mavi Garcia said the two were friends and that the relationship hadn't gotten that far.

She said she knew that Ortiz Vitae was in the U.S. illegally, but didn't know the details. I wish she would have stayed in Mexico, Mavi Garcia said. She spoke with the media days after the shooting, but the family asked for privacy after that, including on the day of the funeral. But she responded immediately to a text from Target 8 after Trump's speech in Grand Rapids on Tuesday. She said she's angry that Trump and others have turned her sister's death into something political. Quote, it's always been about illegal immigrants. She said nobody really speaks about when Americans do heinous crimes, and it's kind of shocking why he would just bring up illegals. What about Americans who do heinous crimes like that? The focus should be on my sister right now, who she was in life.

I want people to remember who she was in life. She was a very happy person, a very generous person. She was always so happy, could light up a room. Ortiz Vitae is facing five charges including felony murder and carjacking. He's expected back in Grand Rapids District Court on April 9th. Shameful conduct, shameful conduct by Donald Trump.
