On this vote, the yeas are 50, the nays are 46. The joint resolution is passed.
That right there was the United States Senate, with the help of some Republicans voting to cancel Donald Trump's tariffs against Canada.
Now, two days ago, you'll recall we reported here how the United States Senate, with some votes by Republicans, voted to cancel Donald Trump's tariffs against Brazil.
Those 50% tariffs Trump imposed arbitrarily capriciously and maliciously against Brazil.
Also, yesterday, you had at least 14 GOP members, get this, in the House of Representatives, wrote to the Trump regime and said that your plan to import Argentinian beef and your $40 billion bailout of Argentina is not something that the farmers of the,
United States want to see. 14 GOP members in the House. And there's more. We also have been hearing
rumblings that Senator Thune, the MAGA Republican majority leader in the Senate, is trying to
figure out a way to get out of this government shutdown because he realizes that Americans overwhelmingly
blame Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans in the Senate and the House for this shutdown.
Of course they do. They control all of the branch.
of government and they don't have a health care plan except they want to rip health care away from
20 million Americans and rip away snap supplemental nutrition assistance programs from 42 million
Americans and Thune is getting heat from his Republican members in the Senate and then of course
we're seeing people like Marjorie Taylor Green and even Senator Howley out there saying that this
effort to get rid of the snap for 42 million Americans that's taken place right now by the Trump
regime is unacceptable. Josh Holly from Missouri and Marjorie Daler Green from Georgia. Let's just
break it all down. So let's start off with what happened yesterday, where the United States Senate
with some votes from MAGA Republican senators as well, they voted to cancel the tariffs against
Canada. Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and Rand Paul joined with the Democrats,
and the Senate voted 50 to 46 to stop Trump's tariffs on Canada. Now, we shouldn't think that
that's going to pass in the House of Representatives. Maga Mike, Donald Trump's puppet and
Stoge, has already voted to relinquish all power that the House has over its Article I
authority, which is the taxation authority and tariffs are taxes. So Maga Mike's not even going to
take this up as a vote, but at least in the Senate, a statement has been made by the United States
Senate on a decently bipartisan basis. I won't get carried away here, but on a decently bipartisan
basis that Trump's tariffs against Canada are unlawful and should be repealed. Remember two days
ago I reported the Senate also voted to cancel Trump's tariffs against Brazil.
Same thing, the House of Representatives under Maga Mike are not going to take up a similar resolution.
In fact, they've already voted that they've relinquished all of their power over Donald Trump's tariffs against the world.
But by the way, this is going now before the United States Supreme Court, which is going to get ready to rule soon on Donald Trump's tariffs against the world.
So a statement being sent there as well.
But then in the House of Representatives, yesterday as well, here's what we saw.
in one of the biggest breaks from Trump,
14 GOP members told Trump administration,
its plan to bring in Argentinean beef
and do a $40 billion bailout of Argentina.
It's not okay.
And it undermines American cattle producers.
And we've seen Ways and Means Committee's chair,
Jason Smith, former Trump administration,
1.0 officials, Max Miller, and Beth Van Dunn.
I mean, here's what they wrote.
They wrote to Secretary Brooke Rollins, Department of Agriculture, and Ambassador Greer.
They said, we write, this is how they started off because they're pathetic.
But they go, we write to commend the Trump administration's leadership in supporting American farmers.
But then it says, we respectfully draw your attention, however, to the recently announced plan to expand imports of Argentine beef as a means of easing retail prices.
Well, we share the administration's goal of lowering costs for consumers.
We are concerned that granting additional market access to Argentina,
already one of our largest beef suppliers,
will undermine American cattle producers,
weaken our position in ongoing trade negotiations,
and reintroduce avoidable animal health risks.
Yeah, in Argentina, the cattle is suffering from a significant case of foot and mouth disease.
So Trump's like, give me that foot and mouth disease right here in the United States.
And let's screw over our cattle ranchers.
and Trump calls him his cattle people.
He goes, the cattle people love me.
The cattle people love you?
I don't think so anymore.
I guess you could try to defraud them more
and say you're bringing in $22 trillion
or you're going to give them Doge dividend checks.
Where'd that go?
Or tariff rebate checks.
But you are just a bigger version of Bernie Madoff.
Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme was $64 billion.
Yours is $23 trillion.
Also, it should be noted that independent
It's overwhelmingly, overwhelmingly hate Donald Trump ripping down the east wing of the White House.
Who would have thunk?
So even Democratic Senator Cory Booker is posting this Fox News, put news in quotes, article that says the following.
Senate GOP is divided as millions risk losing food aid in shutdown standoff.
Missouri Senator Josh Howley's bill has 10 GOP co-sponsors.
But Thune, the majority leader, calls a piecemeal funding approach the wrong way.
Senator Cory Booker, Democrat from New Jersey, says,
I've never hesitated to join a Republican colleague standing up for the American people.
While Republicans need to reopen the government, we can't hold food assistance hostage.
I'm backing Senator Holley's bill to keep snap going during the shutdown.
Leader Thune needs to bring it to a vote now.
you all see what Senator Holly was saying seven or eight days ago, he talked about his piece of
legislation to fund SNAP right now. And I want to mention this before I play this clip. Right now,
SNAP should not be taken away no matter what. Obviously, it's, you know, that MAGA Republicans,
the fact that they've already gutted $186 billion from SNAP and the disastrous budget bill
is horrific. But there's a contingency fund, an emergency fund, that has,
has about $6 billion in it, maybe $5.5 billion, which can be accessed right away.
Maga said, oh, we can't access it. Absolutely can access it. In fact, the Office of Management
and Budget and the United States Department of Agriculture website said that they can access it a few
days ago, but they removed that from the website because they want to starve Americans to death.
They think that's a winning political issue for them. But separately, I'm going to show you right
here. You know, we always bring the receipts on the Midas, Judge Miller. So Josh Hawley, Senator,
Maga Republican from Missouri says, let's just, even while the shutdown's taking place, let's
fund Snap. Democrats are saying, we agree. Let's do that. But Maga Republicans are still blocking
it and Maga Mike Johnson won't bring that to the floor. Here's what Hulley says, just so you see
Maga Republican. Here's what he's got to say. Here, play this clip. Well, there's certainly
enough time. And my bill also makes the SNAP benefits retroactive, the funding for them.
So if there were to be a lapse, which I hope there would not be, it would be compensated for
with back funding. Here's the bottom line. Needy families in Missouri should not be going hungry
because a bunch of politicians in D.C. can't figure out how to open the government. I mean,
that's the bottom line. This is day 23, this government shut down. I was opposed to it on day one.
I'm opposed to it on day 23. I don't want to see children in our state not be able to eat,
have to miss a meal because the government is shut down and the politicians in Washington don't know
what to do. I just think it's ridiculous. So I hope everybody will support this. I don't know
who could be against needy kids being able to eat.
I guess we'll find out because I'm going to try to give every senator the opportunity to vote on this.
I'm going to take this to the floor as soon as I'm allowed to under the rules and I'm going to try to get a vote on this.
But bottom line is, 650,000 people in Missouri depend on help when it comes to the price of food and groceries.
And I don't want to see these folks go without food.
Time for some talk.

You probably have it, but do you know how much you're paying for it and how much are you being covered?
Odds are you're paying too much for too little.

So you see what he's saying there.
Now, let me show you what Marjorie Taylor Green is posting now.
Marjorie Taylor Green posts what the monthly premiums are going to now be for people in her area.
This is what Marjorie Taylor Green says.
It's the explosion head emoji.
And she goes, this is for self-employed married parents in their 30s with four kids.
And then she goes on to say, Democrats did this with Obamacare 15.
years ago, and Johnson says Republicans have a mystery plan that is yet to be revealed to fix it.
But no one knows what it is, and we're told to stay home in our districts.
Mark Meredith goes, there are nine options for health insurance in my zip code.
Here are the three silver plans, and they're all $3,600 a month, $3,800 a month.
So when you extrapolate that $12, $25,000 a year for the silver plans.
Now, let me be very clear.
with the subsidies these would be decreased significantly now do i think obamacare is perfect no what do i want
let me be clear i want universal health care i want to tax the rich more money that's what i want to do
and i want to make sure that health care is free that's my plan what's your plan ben tax the rich
fund health care simple okay then you have obamacare which is make sure everybody gets health care
then use subsidies to try to bring it down but then there's still
still may be not the best health care.
It's still expensive, but the subsidies try to bring it down.
And then what's your other plan?
Outside of those two, give me an option.
And even Marjorie Taylor Green saying,
I don't see Maga Mike's plan because there is not an option.
She then goes on to post,
is it too much for me to ask,
what is my party's plan to build the off-ramp off of Obamacare
onto price transparency, a competitive market,
and affordable high-quality care?
November 1st is Saturday.
starting open enrollment with already high premium skyrocketing.
It's been 15 years.
Well, the issue is, is that we know what existed before Obamacare.
We're 20 million plus Americans, didn't have insurance.
Insurance companies could discriminate based on pre-existing conditions,
and premiums were high, and in many cases, unaffordable,
or they just wouldn't cover you.
So we have to reflect on, we all want transparency.
We all want there to be affordable health care.
I want health care to be free.
But who's coming up with these plans?
I mean, you know, and we haven't seen it.
You have, what, Maga Republican Senator Scott from Florida, who was involved in the biggest.
He made his money being the perpetrator of the biggest Medicare, Medicaid scam in history
where his company pled criminally guilty to these crimes of Medicare and Medicaid fraud,
and he got a golden parachute.
So show me the better plan.
And by the way, the reason that Obamacare has not made the premiums cheaper, although the subsidies have worked, is that the Republicans have always attacked it and try to go to the Supreme Court, rip this apart, and rip that apart, rather than try to make it better.
That's their truth of the situation.
By the way, Marjorie Taylor Green posts the following as well.
She goes, Israel's military said Wednesday that the ceasefire was back on in Gaza after it killed 104 people, including 46 children, according to local health officials.
46 children died in Palestine since the declaration of a ceasefire,
which I've been calling out as this is not a peace deal, number one.
And number two, it's not even really a ceasefire because when 46 children die and 140 people are killed,
and you see the bombings in Gaza City, and Hamas has not disarmed and they are still running the show.
And Netanyahu says he doesn't support a two-state solution.
Then what are we talking about here?
The Associated Press reports the data.
And then Marjorie Taylor-Green consistently has said,
You left out that I said, I have no respect for the House not being in session.
I demanded to know from Speaker Johnson what the Republican plan and the off-ramp is.
Johnson said he's got ideas and pages of policy ideas and committees of jurisdiction are working on it,
but he refused to give one policy proposal to our GOP conference on our own conference call.
Apparently, I have to go into a skiff, a sensitive component.
Departmented Information Facility to find out what the Republican health care plan is because it simply does it exist.
Then you have Maga Republican Senator Marino, Moreno, and this is what he says to Marjorie Taylor Green, play this clip.
The other part of this, though, is what is going to happen with these subsidies, because the thing that Republicans have argued is if Democrats would reopen the government, then you can have the conversation about what to do on that.
And Marjorie Taylor Green is saying that Republicans don't have a plan on how to bring down health care costs.
If the government were open tomorrow, do you think Republican leaders have a plan on that?
Yeah, absolutely. And I would say do Marjorie Taylor agree? I like her. She came out to Ohio a few times.
She's certainly able to write a bill herself. Like if this is something she's passionate about, put pen to paper, write a bill, present an option.
Don't just criticize what other people are doing. In terms of what Republicans think is that the marketplace should work.
What Obamacare has proven is that it's a total abject failure at keeping costs affordable, ironically, in the name.
Here's what Marjorie Taylor Green then says in a podcast that she did recently.
Prices have not come down at all.
The job market is weak.
Job market is still extremely difficult.
Wages have not gone up.
Health insurance premiums are going to go up.
Car insurance goes up every year.
People's homeowners insurance goes up.
Rent is going up.
People, young people have no hope of buying a home.
And then when they try to buy a home, they end up, like I said, they end up competing with
like Blackstone or somebody else.
The average home buyer now is 38 years old. It just came out. Right. The average home buyer, 38.
On the flip side, baby boomers can't sell their homes. They pay massive capital gains taxes. They don't know, like, well, what do I move to? How do I downsize? I can't replace what I have.
Right. So there are problems on both ends. Some of my own personal family members. Some of my own personal friends. They're getting by month to month charging up their credit cards.
And now here's what Democratic Congresswoman Stansberry, who from New Mexico, we've had on.
You know, we're a big fan of Congresswoman Stansberry on this program.
And here's what she had to say on the show.
Here, play this clip.
But I'll be honest, I'm deeply ashamed to have to stand here today as our country is on the brink of a food and hunger crisis that is completely manufactured by the White House.
So let me start out by saying this.
Mr. President, Leader Thune, Speaker Johnson, if you were watching this,
American lives are not a political game.
42 million Americans, half of them children,
will not be able to put food on the table on Saturday in three days
if you do not release the funds that have already been appropriated
to fund the SNAP program.
42 million Americans, and this is a choice.
that you are making to starve American children, elders, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities,
because you think that this is a political game, and we are not here to play.
So feed our children.
So there you have it.
Let me know what you think.
But again, Senate voting to cancel the Brazil tariffs, Senate voting to cancel Canada tariffs,
Senate vote House GOP attacking Trump strategy on Argentina the Senate
recognizing Americans are blaming the Republicans overwhelmingly for the shutdown
and rightfully so they control all the branches of government
and the Magas in the House aren't even speaking to Democrats yet alone negotiating
remember schoolhouse rocks right or just your fifth grade government class the parties
are supposed to speak with each other the Democrats are showing up for work
the Republicans aren't showing up for it isn't that simple
in the House, then the Democrats are holding town halls. The Republicans are not holding town halls.
Doesn't that tell you, I mean, isn't it as simple as that sometimes? Anyway, let me know what you
think. Hit subscribe. Let's get to six million and thanks for watching. Want to stay plugged in?
