Yeah, he's really depressed. A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons. I'm Ben Mycelis from the Midas Touch Network. Those were the famous words of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, referring to how easily it is to bait Donald Trump. And last night at 1 a.m., Donald Trump was posting away, attacking Liz Cheney, attacking Robert De Niro throughout the day. I mean, truly deranged stuff. I want to share that with you, and then I want to compare that to my experience interviewing President Joe Biden. A lot of people have asked me, Ben, how was it? How was it meeting the president of the United States? And I said, one of the most refreshing things about it was to have just a normal conversation with someone who was compassionate and thoughtful and witty. And just to be able to have that conversation

in that manner, to me, was one of the biggest takeaways that I had. You think about all of the attacks that President Biden faces on a daily basis. You think about the fact that President Biden is uniting NATO together. You think of all the things the MAGA Republicans are doing against him. And he doesn't take the bait. He knows he has a job to do and he focuses on this country. That's what I respected so much about him and respect so much about him. And one of my takeaways from the interview, compare it to this. At 1 a.m., Donald Trump is posting that he says the election loss in 2020 caused him anger and overeating in a late night attack on Liz Cheney. Donald Trump at 1 a.m. posting this. Crazy Liz Cheney, who suffers from Trump derangement syndrome at a level rarely seen before, writes in her boring new book that Kevin McCarthy, which he spells K-E-V-E-N, Kevin McCarthy said he came to Mar-a-Lago after the rigged, he puts that in caps, election because, quote, the former president was depressed and not eating. That statement is not true. I was not depressed. He puts this in caps. I was angry. And it was not that I was not eating. It was that I was eating too much. But that's not why Kevin McCarthy, again, he can't spell Kevin, was there. He was at Mar-a-Lago to get my support and to bring the Republican Party together.

Only good intentions. Liz Cheney, on the other hand, went on to lose her seat in Congress by the largest margin for a sitting Congress person in the history of the U.S. She then worked with others on the J6 committee to delete and destroy evidence and findings of the committee. This is what Donald Trump is writing at 1 a.m. What he's saying here is patently false. The January 6th committee did not delete and destroy evidence and findings that was turned over to Donald Trump during discovery in the special counsel Jack Smith prosecution in the Washington, D.C. federal case scheduled for March. But it's all name calling for Donald Trump. It's all just this immature,

petulant, third grade wannabe fascist behavior. Crazy Liz Cheney. I was angry. This is what he's writing at 1 a.m. Another example in the past 24 hours, Donald Trump attacking Robert De Niro. Robert De Niro gave a speech where he criticized Donald Trump and called Donald Trump a liar. I'll show you just a brief portion of that speech. Then let me show you what Donald Trump and call Donald Trump a liar. I'll show you just a brief portion of that speech. Then let me show you what Donald Trump posted on his social media platform. This is De Niro. Play the clip. History anymore. Truth is not truth. Even facts are being replaced by alternative facts and driven by conspiracy theories and ugliness. In Florida, young

students are taught that slaves develop skills which could be applied for their personal benefit. The entertainment industry isn't immune to this festering disease. The Duke John Wayne famously said of Native Americans, I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves. Lying has become just another tool in the charlatan arsenal the former president lied to us more than 30 000 times during his four thank you years in office and he's keeping up the pace in his current campaign of retribution

but with all his lies he can't hide his soul he He attacks the weak, destroys the gifts of nature, and shows disrespect, for example, by using Pocahontas as a slur. speaking his mind about Donald Trump. I agree with what Robert De Niro said. But again, Donald Trump has to attack Robert De Niro with name calling. And he goes, Robert De Niro is a mental midget whose mind is shot and whose life is a total train wreck. Very much like Crooked Joe Biden, he can put two sentences together. The good news is that this crude and very stupid animal has lost all credibility. That's what Donald Trump is posting about Robert De Niro. Again, Donald Trump can't control himself. Go back to that Hillary Clinton quote. If you can be baited by a tweet, you should not be able to handle the nuclear codes. If you're getting baited by Robert De Niro giving a speech, calling you a liar, and you have to say he's a mental midget and then say he's a stupid animal, you are not fit to be a leader, period, full stop. Donald Trump then writes again, Robert De Niro, whose acting talents have greatly diminished with his reputation now shot, must even use a teleprompter for his foul and disgusting

language. So disrespectful to our country, he has become unwatchable both in movies and with fools that destroyed the Academy Awards, bringing them from one of the top shows in the country to a low-rated afterthought. De Niro should focus on his life, which is a mess, rather than the lives of others. He has become a total loser as the world watches, waits, and laughs. Of course, with Donald Trump, it is all projection. It is all confession when it comes to him. But this reminded me, and I want to share it with you. A few years back, someone by the name of Nate White, a reporter from England, penned this kind of perfect critique of Donald Trump. And I wanted to share it with you. And it's called, Why Do Some British People Not Like Donald Trump? I think it's brilliant.

Let me read it to you. A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honor, and no grace. All qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump's limitation into embarrassingly sharp relief. Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never said anything wry, witty, or even faintly amusing. Not once, not ever. I don't say that rhetorically. I mean it quite literally. Not once, not ever. And the fact is particularly disturbing to British sensibility. For us, to lack humor is almost inhuman. But with

Trump, it's a fact. He doesn't even seem to understand what a joke is. His idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty. Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs. He only crows or jeers and scarily. He doesn't just talk in crude witless insults. He actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness. There is never any underlayer of irony, complexity, nuance, or depth. It's all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don't. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain, we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs, Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither

plucky nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He's not even a spoiled rich boy or a greedy fat cat. He's more of a fat white slug, a jab of the hut of privilege. And worse, he is the most unforgivable of all things to the British, a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies, then he suddenly transforms into a sniveling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff. The Queensberry rules of basic decency, and he breaks them all. He punches downwards, which a gentleman should, would, could never do. And every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless, and he kicks them when they are down.

So the fact that a significant minority, perhaps a third of Americans, look at what he does, listens to what he says, and then thinks, yeah, he seems like my kind of guy, is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, mostly are. You don't need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man. This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too. His faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss.

After all, it's impossible to read a single tweet or hear him speak a sentence or two without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form. He is a Picasso of pettiness, a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal. Even his flaws have flaws and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world and plenty of nasty people too, but rarely has stupidity been so nasty or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy, George W. look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws, he would make Trump. And a remorseless Dr. Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish,

my God, what have I created? Thought I'd share that with you.
