A trial date, a gag order, and other major developments in the disqualification case filed against Donald Trump in the state of Colorado under the 14th Amendment, Section 3, brought by an organization called CRU on behalf of a number of very prominent plaintiffs requesting that the judge declare Donald Trump ineligible for running for elected office in the 2024 election because he engaged in an act of insurrection, making him per se ineligible under the 14th Amendment Section 3 of the United States Constitution. So the first big update is a trial date was set.

Starting point is 00:02:11 October 30th, it will be a five-day trial. Folks, that is right around the corner. The second update is that the lawyer for the plaintiff successfully convinced the judge to issue a limited gag order, a limited protective order against Donald Trump. The lawyer for the plaintiff, Sean Grimsley, noted during a hearing that was held on Friday that one of the parties, for example, that is seeking to intervene on behalf of Donald Trump, someone by the name of Dave Williams, the chair of the Colorado Republican Party, has declared this lawsuit treasonous. And as a result, as the plaintiff's lawyer,

Starting point is 00:02:54 Sean Grimsley, argued, that's code for the folks coming to court have committed a capital crime and deserve a very serious penalty. So that in and of itself is one of the things plaintiff saying, look, there were already threats taking place. So let me show you this gag order that the court issued, and this is binding on Donald Trump. So think about the big updates. Number one, trial date, October 30th. We can get big news, folks, on October 30th. And then number two, this gag order. Here it is right here. Gag order, it's referred to as protective order. In the case of Norma Anderson, Michael Priola, I'll tell you who these people are in a moment.

Starting point is 00:03:37 These are the plaintiffs. First respondents, Jenna Griswold in her official capacity as Colorado's Secretary of State, and Donald Trump and also intervener, the Colorado Republican State Central Committee. I always love when they have names like that after trying to call Democrats all of the Marxist socialists. Yes, the Colorado Republican Central Committee has joined the lawsuit. Anyway, here's the protective order. Whereas, petitioners have brought this lawsuit to prevent the Secretary of State from putting Donald J. Trump on the presidential primary ballot in Colorado because he is not qualified to hold office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution B. Whereas, responded Trump, an intervener Colorado Republican Party, dispute petitionondent Trump and Intervener Colorado Republican Party dispute petitioner's

Starting point is 00:04:26 allegations and oppose the relief sought C, whereas this court intends to conduct these proceedings in an orderly and peaceful manner with respect to all litigants, witnesses, and counsel, and seeks to ensure that all participants here, including petitioners, respondents, interveners, their counsel, and all witnesses can participate freely and without experiencing any threats, harassment, and acts of intimidation. Therefore, the court issues the following order. party shall take any action against any other party, counsel for such other party, or any witness that could reasonably be construed as a threat, intimidation, or act of harassment intended to coerce, compel, or adversely influence any such party, counsel, or witness from fully and freely participating in these legal proceedings.

Starting point is 00:05:20 Two, no party or counsel for such party shall engage in any conduct that could reasonably be construed as causing any party counsel or witness to, in good faith, fear for their personal safety or the safety of their family. Three, no party or counsel for such party may make, issue, or cause to be issued any statement to the media or in a public setting, including through social media, that pose a substantial likelihood of material prejudice to this case. This prohibition extends to any party or council causing surrogates to make such statements on their behalf. Four, this prohibition prevents no one or their attorneys or agents from quoting or referring without comment to public records, announcing the scheduling or result of any stage in the judicial process, C, requesting assistance in obtaining evidence, or D, announcing without further comment that any party disagrees with the claims made by other parties. Five, to the extent that any party or counsel for such party violates this protective order by engaging in any conduct

Starting point is 00:06:32 described in paragraphs one through four above, this court shall have the power to enter any order that it deems necessary to cure any such violation of this protective order or to prevent any further violations of this protective order or to prevent any further violations of this protective order. Six, this court's power under paragraph five above shall include but not be limited to holding a contempt of court of any party or council

Starting point is 00:06:56 who commit any such violations, ordering the payment of monetary sanctions. Three, imposing evidentiary or issue sanctions. Four, any combination of the above. And five, any other remedy which is fair, just, and appropriate to effectuate the spirit and intent of the protective order. Folks, this blew my mind when I found out. Starting point is 00:09:00 Did you hear that stuff I was reading? Against Donald Trump, his lawyers, and his use of surrogates. And he can comment if he agrees or disagrees with allegations, but in my view, him stating like he always does on his social media platform, these hateful and really mean spirited and threatening things against the people who bring litigation against them, which he's done before with these disqualification cases or him making statements that try to prejudice the jury, is going to be met with serious sanctions. And the court just outlined those right there. So again, big news.

Starting point is 00:09:38 October 30th trial, gag order against Donald Trump right there. And securing the gag order because of threats being made by the chair of the Colorado Republican Party, Dave Williams. More on that in a moment. The suit at issue was filed September 6th by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, that's CRU, on behalf of six Colorado voters. Remember, the plaintiffs in this case include former Republican U.S. Representative for Rhode Island, Claudine Schneider, who now lives in Colorado, former House and Senate Majority Leader, Norma Anderson, an unaffiliated voter who recently left the Republican Party, Denver Post columnist and

Starting point is 00:10:26 Republican activist Krista Kafer, Michelle Priola, Kathy Wright, and Christopher Castilian. So Republicans we are talking about, folks right there, who are the lead plaintiffs in this case. By the way, that's a trend I'm seeing across the country. We don't believe that an insurrection is insurrection. That reminds me of all these other Republican chairs throughout the country. It's not just unique to Colorado. This is the MAGA Republican mutation, folks, of the Republican Party. For example, this was the leader of the, she's no longer, but she was until very recently, the leader of the Arizona Republican Party.
