The MeidasTouch Podcast - Trump Just Got a Rude Awakening….

Starting point is 00:00:00 Donald Trump has gone silent on Monday morning as Iran continues to strike tanker after tanker, and finally, the official authorities are acknowledging the strikes we've been reporting about that have taken place in these straight of Hormuz every damn day. Most recently, October 3rd, an oil tanker was struck by a projectile. October 4th, an LNG tanker, and an oil tanker were struck by projectiles from the IRGC, in the Strait of Hormuz. Earlier this morning, a massive tanker turned around after being warned by the IRGC. And now we're seeing headlines like this from the Wall Street Journal.

Starting point is 00:00:43 Oil was pouring out of Hormuz again. Then attacks on ships resurged. Iran's targeting of ships has improved, according to a U.S. official, making transits through the Strait of Hormuz riskier. No, there was never. all of this oil getting out of the straight of Hormuz. As we were reporting over and over again, we knew these strikes were occurring.

Starting point is 00:01:07 It was just not being reported. And the Trump regime was lying and saying that more oil was getting out than was actually getting out. I mean, you take a look at indicators that people in the United States and across the world know what's going on because we know what we're paying for gas

Starting point is 00:01:24 and diesel consumer confidence keeps on collapsing. It's at its lowest lowest level. level right now since April 2014, and it's very close to the lowest level since, you know, whether it was in 2021 or 2001, I mean, the consumer confidence is at the great recession level right now because that's what the American people are experiencing. And all of a sudden, this week, you know, we started to hear people like Aramco's CEO Amin Nasir. He spoke at an energy conference in London and he goes, global inventories have fallen to dangerously low levels,

Starting point is 00:02:04 calling the world supply cushion scarily thin. Nasir said nearly three billion barrels of oil supply have been lost since the war with Iran began, while reserve release offer only temporary relief and rebuilding inventories could take up to two years. Yeah, there wasn't all of this oil getting out of the Strait of Hormuz. In fact, things are getting worse each day. And one of the things we've learned in the past 24 hours as well, on Sarala, the Houthis were able to successfully strike an area in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Look right over here. Footage shows a plume of smoke rising from Jeddah following an Ansarala ballistic missile attack on a Saudi Aramco refinery there earlier. Now, Saudi Arabia working with its PLC back forces in Yemen said that they intend for an offensive

Starting point is 00:03:01 to try to seize Sana'a, the capital of Ansarala, and also take back other areas in Western Yemen that Ansarala, the Houthis, were able to take control of in the recent weeks. And so Ansarala responded, striking this refinery right here in Jeddah. Saudi Arabia's defense authorities no longer report the warnings that they, used to or when there are refinery struck, they just cover it up. It's just a massive manipulation taking place from the Trump regime to the Arab nations. All across the world, there's this market manipulation. But again, you look at the price of crude, you look at the price of diesel, it is surging. One other fact that doesn't get enough attention, but to me, this chart and this analysis

Starting point is 00:03:48 says it all. Just even if you assumed all of the oil was getting out of the straight of hormones, assume it's just like it was pre-war. Here's a major difference. VLCC rates, those are those very large tankers, the largest types of tankers that carry out crude, have reached unprecedented levels of what they are charging per day because the risk is so severe. They charge $1.3 million per day now to carry the crude,

Starting point is 00:04:21 whereas before the war, it was around 30,000. to $50,000 a day. So it's around 43 times the January number. So this adds to the price per barrel of oil about $33 or 27% of the delivered cost of crude oil. So even if the amount of oil getting out was all the same, the risk premium is so damn high that it would still cost so much more by the time it was transported to the refinery. and then ultimately refined, it has to then be refined, and then the gas, the diesel, and jet fuel is then sold. So I think it's important that we just have some basic understanding of what the hell is going on.

Starting point is 00:05:04 I know we do here at the Midas Touch Network, but the level of disinformation is so wild. Meanwhile, speaking of disinformation purveyors, you had J.D. Vance. This is what he said at Joint Base Andrews this morning. He said, I think the American people love the, these taxpayer-funded political commercials that Donald Trump's doing, those fascist commercials, Trump keeps running during football games and other major national sporting events and just generally keeps on playing these political ads. And J.D. Vance was like, Obama did it?

Starting point is 00:05:40 No, Obama didn't do it. Stop saying Obama. Stop saying Biden. There's no comparison here to what's going on. Obama, Biden. Again, disinformation purveyors, fraud. They just want to overwhelm you with this crap. Here, play this clip.

Starting point is 00:05:57 Well, look, if you look historically, you know, go back to the Obama administration with the Affordable Care Act. You have the people's government using tax dollars to advertise about what the government is doing. It's part of actually, I think living in a constitutional republic, you have to be honest with the American people about what you're doing, about what's going on. And part of that is getting out there and telling the message. So I don't think there's anything unusual or unorthodox about it. I'm sure that some people probably don't like it. But if you look at the message of those advertisements, they're not partisan. They're not, you know, it's not like we're advocating for a particular candidate.

Starting point is 00:06:31 We're trying to tell a story, I think, about how great the United States of America is. Even though one of the ads, sir, after that, it's. Then you have Maga Republican Senator Rick Scott said, look, sure, the gas prices really high, but I don't want to be killed by a nuclear weapon. Do you want to be killed by a nuke? So this is great. We can deal with high gas prices because Trump saved us from being killed by nukes. No, he didn't.

Starting point is 00:06:57 You made up a threat that didn't exist so that Trump and Netanyahu is part of their cover-up also of the Epstein files could slaughter little children in Monab and Lamarden and invade Iran. This is what Rick Scott said here. Play this clip. Killed. Now, nobody likes war. War's not popular. Nobody likes high gas or diesel prices.

Starting point is 00:07:16 but we also don't want nuclear weapons. And this president actually is doing the opposite of Democrats. He's trying to build up the oil and gas industry while they try to destroy it and drive prices up. He's trying to build it. And he has built it in this country. And he's trying to build relationships in places like Venezuela. I mean, I was trying to make sure Europe's a partner.

Starting point is 00:07:34 So we're heading in the right direction. I don't want a nuclear weapon. I mean, I don't want my kids or grandkids killed by a nuclear weapon. I don't like high gas prices, but I don't want to be killed by nuclear weapons. So it's 3 a.m. you hear a noise in your house. What's your move? Did you freak out with no plan? And Harry Enton says that Donald Trump at this point right now in his presidency has popularity. That's Herbert Hoover level. It's like the worst in presidential history. Starting point is 00:10:09 Play this clip. Yeah. So Kansas has not son of Democrat, the United States Senate, since 1932. That's 94 years ago, for those who don't want to do the mental math this early in the morning. What is going on?

Starting point is 00:10:22 And that is President Trump is historically unpopular for a Republican president in the great state of Kansas. Take a look here. Okay, what are we looking at here? Republican president's net approval ratings in Kansas. I absolutely buy the idea

Starting point is 00:10:36 that this race is close because just take a look at these. Okay, GOP net approvals in Kansas, about at this point in a term. Look at this, George W. Bush, coming off a 9-11, was it about plus 45 points. Even in 2006, he was still in the positive territory at about plus one. In his first term, look at this,

Starting point is 00:10:51 Donald Trump at plus five points. Look at how much less popular Donald Trump is than he was in term number one at this point. He's way down in the basement, 15 points underwater. That's a 20-point shift away from the President United States, that is 16 points less popular than any other Republican president at this point in the term this century.

Starting point is 00:11:09 And in fact, while we don't have the polling data if you look at the national polling data, I would say that Donald Trump is probably at this point in a term the least popular Republican president probably since, well, Herbert Hoover. Now, New Gallup poll Q3 party ID data coming out right over here. This is how Americans politically identify right now in the new Gallup poll. 50% identify Democrats, 39% identify Republicans. This Democrat plus 11 lead is the largest quarterly margin recorded for the Democrats since the first quarter of 2009, and it was Republican plus four in 2024, just by comparison. The Trump regime announcing Benny Ray Harmony will be the new assistant press secretary at the White House, taking on a prominent role there. Here she is in 2021, wearing her F-Joe Biden shirt over here, I believe, with a family member.

Starting point is 00:12:12 Here's what she looks like today, by the way, now that she's taking this Trump regime job. But this is what she looked like in 2021. Here she is today. Marco Rubio was asked about updates regarding the apparent plague case taking place in Russia right now. There was a pneumonic plague at a biolact. in Siberia that killed a lab technician. There's a major quarantine going on right now in the Siberia area. Marco Rubia says this is not cause for alarm, but it is cause for focus, he says.

Starting point is 00:12:49 Let's play this clip. Can you give us an update on the suspected plague case in Russia? Well, we don't, we know what we know, obviously, about whatever the Russians had provided, which it seems that there was a worker at the lab. There's very limited travel between the U.S. and Russia, obviously. But like anything else, something like that gets out and the twist and spread. So we're watching and monitoring it closely.

Starting point is 00:13:19 I don't think it's cause for alarm, but it is positive focus. And it's just to keep an eye on it. And we're doing that. And then Rubio was asked about the reporting. We did this reporting this morning and others did as well, about the 12 B-1 bombers that have been removed from the Royal Air Force Base Fairford in the UK so that all those B-1s,

Starting point is 00:13:44 are gone, as you also are aware, the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier has been removed from the Arabian Sea, and it's now in Phuket, Thailand, leaving only one aircraft carrier there. The U.S. has no aircraft carrier in the Pacific. The USS George Washington is now the only aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea. This is a catastrophic war. We should never have been involved them, but it's also massive mismanagement of the catastrophic war also. There's the U.S. Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier and its strike group and an amphibious assault group. It will arrive in the Arabian Sea mid-November after the midterms where Trump's threatened escalation.

Starting point is 00:14:23 But I think one of the reasons Iran also realizes it can strike these tankers with impunity right now and project its strength as it controls the strait of Hormuz is that the U.S., literally, the munitions and the U.S. ability to even project strength in the region is gone. But anyway, here's what Rubio has to say about that. Let's play this clip right here. What did an American bombers be careful? What? Why did American bombers be?

Starting point is 00:14:48 Well, the Department of War is constantly reallocating resources where they need to be. There's regular rotations that happen as well. So I think you guys are just, well, I mean, we've documented what happened last week. I wouldn't just directly tie that to the move that was made. The only reason why you guys are focused on how many planes are visible is because it was glad to happen last week. But it's not unusual to see rotations happen and movement of that. It's a different parts of the world based on exercises. redeployment

Starting point is 00:15:14 people changing out and new planes coming in new planes coming in old planes going out so who's are changing all the time you guys are just really focused on that because you're a front-locking Meanwhile one of the

Starting point is 00:15:26 main advisors to Ayatollum Mojtaba Khomeini posted the following every computational error by the enemy against Iran has resulted in heavy defeat for it. The next error will bring about fresh fronts

Starting point is 00:15:41 and greater surprises with the wise leadership of the supreme leader of the revolution, the companionship of the history-making nation, and the coordination of all branches of the system, Iran will powerfully navigate through these complex conditions. Another thing to note as well, the USS George Washington, the only aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea, it's like a thousand kilometers outside of the kind of entrance

Starting point is 00:16:06 as you start heading towards the Gulf of Oman and towards the Strait of Hormuz. So the U.S. aircraft carriers are, pretty far out. There's only one at this point that's even there. The other, as you now stated, is in Pouquet, Thailand. I think that's notable as well. And so really the first time that's happened in a very, very, very long time. Also important to note as well, a Turkish commercial vessel, the Royad Mamadav sank in the Black Sea after being struck by a drone, believed to be a Russian drone, perhaps a Girin-4. Romanian authorities said, 11 crew members were rescued and two were killed.

Starting point is 00:16:46 The vessel was about 30 nautical miles south inside Romania. Romania is a NATO member's exclusive economic zone. Zelensky has responded to the incident and he's talked about what's taken place and he's calling it out as well.
