It seems every time an indictment is imminent against Donald Trump, Trump's legal team or spokesperson, their defense is that they basically never heard of the law before, like well-established law that Donald Trump violated. They say things like, we've never even heard of what's the Espionage Act, or this is an obscure statute.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Obstruction? What's obstruction? Most recently, Alina Haba, who I guess used to be Donald Trump's lawyer, but she was removed from all of his cases after being sanctioned close to $1 million for engaging in malicious prosecutorial-type conduct in the various cases. He was sanctioned over and over and over again, and now she's the spokesperson for the Trump PAC. And in the interview that she just gave to Newsmax, she explains that what is Fulton County District Attorney Fawnie Willis doing? Racketeering?
Starting point is 00:02:25 What's racketeering? And she acts like this is like a new concept, this concept of racketeering. And just because Alina Haba doesn't know what racketeering is and doesn't know how a RICO statute works, that doesn't mean that's how Georgia law works and how the law works in Fulton County that Fannie Willis is pursuing, where a common plan and scheme and enterprise, a RICO conspiracy is precisely what Donald Trump engaged in through his wide ranging election interference and trying to overthrow a free and fair election in 2020. But watch Alina Haba here. And then I want to show you just some other clips of Alina Haba and others where Donald
Starting point is 00:03:07 Trump's lawyers are like, what espionage here? Play this clip of Alina Haba. Question. In Fulton County, you've got the potential for a racketeering charge. That's not something people typically think about in the political lens. Do you think that a racketeering charge will be brought? And how would you even expect an indictment like that to be alleged? I don't know because when I think of racketeering and it's funny somebody mentioned this to
Starting point is 00:03:31 me the other day they said racketeering is what they do for mobs. You know that racketeering is an old school old world thing. You don't associate that with the president. You don't associate that with something where he had a phone call with lawyers where he didn't do anything wrong. But what you have, again, is election interference. They're going to tie him up in litigation. They're going to tie him up in depositions and trials all the way up to the 2024 election. That is interference.
Starting point is 00:03:56 So when I saw that clip of Alina Hobbit, it reminded me of what she said right around the time Donald Trump was either being investigated for or was charged with violations of the Espionage Act. It was basically almost word for word what she said. Oh, by the way, I should reference this. Matt Gaetz is randomly hosting Newsmax now. And not just randomly, like the MAGA Republicans in Congress, there's no even attempt by these right-wing networks to act like they are actual news anymore. They just have the MAGA Republicans in the House of Representatives host their shows right now. So Matt Gaetz hosts the Newsmax show.
Starting point is 00:04:35 So that's what's going on in propaganda, right-wing propaganda-ville. But here's Alina Haba. This is from a few months back where she's perplexed. Mundane statutes, the Espionage Act, obstruction of justice. But here's Alina Haba. This is from, you know, a few months back where she's perplexed. Mundane statutes, the Espionage Act, obstruction of justice. What's Jack Smith doing here? Here, play this clip. And they say themselves in these papers that they filed that this is under the Presidential Records Act.
Starting point is 00:05:00 So what they did was to try and criminalize Donald Trump, as they always do. They found these three mundane statues, espionage and the two others, obstruction. And they're trying to claim that there was some sort of criminal activity. But their papers say it's under the Presidential Records Act. So your admission is the power that we've all been saying he does have. So you can take a picture of top secret documents, Charlie, and show the world a label. But if they're declassified, as he has the right to do, then he has the right to have them. And he was working together with NARA, as we know. And that back and forth could have been done at a table as they had been doing for months prior. This show is sponsored by BetterHelp. Look, life brings its challenges.
Starting point is 00:05:46 And there have been points in my life where I was uncertain about the future. And frankly, there are times where I still get that feeling. Sometimes in life, we're faced with tough choices and the path forward isn't always clear. I stopped working at my marketing job. You guys know this,
Starting point is 00:05:59 in order to pursue the Midas Touch Network full time because of how much I deeply care about this country. I had no idea where that was gonna lead. And here Alina Habba says, this is one of her, I guess this is the way she's defending Donald Trump. She goes, most people on TV don't even know what this is. Play this clip. Because they're spinning. Everyone's spinning. And the truth is that nobody, and I mean nobody, but possibly three to four attorneys and the people involved know what actually happened, know what took place, know the actual laws. Most people get on TV and don't even know what the Presidential
Starting point is 00:07:45 Records Act is. And they most certainly don't know what the Espionage Act is. The truth of the matter is, this is insane politics in the courtroom. And it has to stop. It's garbage. It's nonsense. And until they hear our side, which is now our turn, which I'm looking forward to, we will not understand the truth. I mean, Alina Haba, you're supposed to be a lawyer. You're supposed to know what this is. But the biggest irony, if you will, of what Alina Haba is saying, where she's saying, that's just what they charge the mafia with. This is like some old school law. Okay. Okay. Let's just accept for the argument that that is what this is,
Starting point is 00:08:26 which it's not. But within hours of Alina Haba saying that, one of Donald Trump's closest former aides, Peter Navarro, who's still very closely associated with Donald Trump, did this dystopian interview in front of a green screen with the flag in the background, and I guess the Constitution in the background. It's hard for me to see what's in the background. But here you got Peter Navarro just acting like a mafia boss, threatening civil war. Play the clip. acting like a mafia boss, threatening civil war. Play the clip.
Starting point is 00:09:10 In the case of Trump's advisors and closest aides, some are being pressured with threats of prison to turn on Trump. Some are facing threats to their livelihood. For example, John Eastman, Rudy Giuliani, and Jeff Clark all face disbarment by Democrat-controlled bar associations. All of us are being buried in massive legal fees with this lawfare burden cynically designed to silence us in the public arena and siphon money away from Republican donors that might otherwise be spent on winning back Congress and the White House. So, folks, there you have it. I mean, that's the MAGA Republicans right there in a nutshell.
Starting point is 00:09:50 I mean, incompetent, fascist, mafia-like, fascism meets idiocracy equals Trumpism. That's the modern day Republican Party for you.
