The tables have been turned against Donald Trump.
California Governor Gavin Newsom keeps on going on the offense, keeps on exposing Donald Trump's weakness masquerading as strength.
Donald Trump's fraud masquerading as a plan when one doesn't exist.
Donald Trump's egregious behavior.
Here, Governor Newsom at a press conference that he just held, calls out Trump and the MAGA Republicans for having their lavish lunches while they,
starve the American people. Here, play this clip.
I find it also interesting that the Senate's going to be having lunch today, lunch to discuss
cuts to food programs. Hope they enjoy their lunch. Just paint that picture. Attorney General
painting the picture of the ballroom. I just want to paint the picture, the situational reality
of what is and what is not occurring in Washington, D.C. Next, Governor Newsom talks about how
Donald Trump is desperate and flailing on his overseas trip while Americans are suffering,
and Trump would rather give Argentina $20 billion or $40 billion bailouts while depriving
42 million Americans of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Let's play this clip.
This is a holiday season. This is when food banks are already busy. This is when there's already
a lot of pressure and anxiety.
And anyone that's bought coffee,
you understand prices are through the roof,
record-breaking prices.
Inflation's out of control once again in this country.
Any of us have bought a pound of beef?
Many of you are buying Halloween candy.
It's up 10.8% just since this administration
took the oath of office.
President, so desperate, he's overseas
trying to clean up his mess.
He's telling people to buy today
foreign cars, which is extraordinary, and foreign beef. He's found $20 billion, then he found $20 billion to
send to wannabe dictator in Argentina. Now he wants to buy beef from Argentina. $20 billion he found,
but he can't provide as legally required $6 billion from a contingency fund that was set up
precisely for this moment, that's about cruelty, period.
That's all this is about.
Governor Newsom also calls out Donald Trump and Maga's fake Christianity,
where they try to hold up the Bible while they inflict such vicious pain and suffering on the
American people and people throughout the world.
It was a powerful moment.
Let's play this clip.
The Speaker of the House of Representative, remarkably once again, lied.
when he said, well, it's government shut down.
There's nothing we can do about it.
You can see the board right behind the Attorney General.
There's been situations in the past consistently.
This program has been funded during government shutdowns.
He lied. Once again, he lied.
It's also interesting to me because I spent a little time at a wonderful Jesuit university.
If there was anything I remember about my four years with Father Cause is that the New Testament,
Old Testament have one thing dominantly in common. Matthew, Isaiah, Luke, Proverbs, I mean, go down
the list. It's around food. It's about serving those that are hungry. It's not a suggestion
in the Old and New Testament. It's core and central to what it is to align to God's will, period,
full stop. I say that because these guys need to stop the BS in Washington, D.C.
So they're sitting there in their prayer breakfasts.
I mean, maybe they got an edited version of Donald Trump's Bible, and they edited all of that out.
I mean, enough of this.
Cruelty is the policy.
That's what this is about.
It's intentional cruelty, intentionally creating anxiety for millions and millions of people,
5.5 million here in our home state.
So, again, our state of mind is pretty clear.
We're going to win this lawsuit.
Governor Newsom talks about the reality that people in California and people throughout this
country are going to face as a result of Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans, shutting
down the government and refusing to even provide emergency funding for the Supplemental Nutrition
Assistance Program. In addition, health care costs are going to be rising dramatically
as a result of the Affordable Care Act subsidies expiring.
premiums in California will increase 388%. That's what your premiums can go up here. And we're seeing
this across the country. Let's play this clip. Some are going to experience 388% increase.
388% increase. That's what this whole government shutdowns about to have the backs of tens of millions
of Americans that are going to face unprecedented increase in their health care costs.
We're living in a state with 6.4% uninsured. I want to come.
Contrast that, for example, in relationship to Prop 50,
Greg Abbott, I believe the last time, you can quote me,
but with an asterisk, the last time I checked their uninsured rate was 16.7%
to take your state that takes more federal money and still provides less,
16.7% uninsured rate.
California was at 6.4%.
First state to provide universal health care, regardless of pre-existent conditions,
ability to pay and regardless of your status.
And then we run right into this brick wall with these subsidies.
And the impacts are outsized for the state of California because of the number of people that rely disproportionate number in our state that rely on these subsidies.
So you saw him, we've put out charts on the bronze plan at Blue Shield and others.
I mean, these are jaw-dropping increases.
And those notices are going to go out.
They went out, and we were pretty candid about it.
Congress and the president have not been able to agree,
and as a consequence, the premium increases are going to skyrocket.
And so we're doing all we can to continue to support our leaders in Congress,
House and Senate, to hold the line on behalf of Californians and the American people
to support those subsidies, not only support them,
in the short run, but support extending those subsidies beyond November of 2020.

a $186 billion cut to Snap and Cal Fresh. Play this clip. There's an origin story here. Connects a
thread, the largest cuts to Medicaid in American history were supported by Josh Holly and the
Republicans. They supported some of the largest cuts to food stamps and snap in American history,
$186 billion over the next 10 years before this manufactured crisis, this decision that they're
making, this choice they're making not to provide the contingency funds to mitigate the impacts
during Thanksgiving, during the holidays, when we give thanks, and we come together as a community
and as a family. They chose. That's cruelty. So this ends when Donald Trump decides to get back
on a plane and come back to the United States of America and in good faith negotiate with a co-equal
branch of government. He'll have time on the plane. And I would encourage him.
to read the Constitution of the United States of America, three co-equal branches of government,
popular sovereignty, the rule of law, President Trump, it's the rule of law, not the rule of Don.
The president and Congress will decide when this shutdown ends. But I've never in my lifetime,
and there have been many shutdowns, experienced a president so disassociated, disconnected from
from the pain and suffering of the American people
that he turned their back and went overseas
with a crisis of this magnitude at this moment,
who went golfing the weekend before the shutdown,
who had one meeting that he refused to invite cameras in,
which for Donald Trump is extraordinary act,
where he put hats that said Trump 2028 and sent out
selfies or true social tweets. He is an un-serious president.
Now, on the same day, Governor Newsom spoke with his friend, our friend here at the Midas
Touch Network, Alex Michelson, and here on his new show. And here's what Governor Newsom
had to say. $11 insulin, $20 minimum wage for fast food workers, $25 minimum wage for
health care workers, universal pre-K, free school meals, $600.
thousand new apprenticeship programs largest civil service program in the country universal health care
improved test scores across the state that's the california way that's how california's leading here watch
this clip right here driving the narrative matters substance pro 50 substance 53 lawsuits against the
administration substance 11 dollar insulin 25 minimum wage for health care workers 20
dollar minimum wage for fast food workers, a worker-centered career education strategy with
over 600,000 new apprenticeships, reforming our civil service system, a brand new grade pre-k
for all, improved test scores in California.
I can go through a list, universal health care, the whole thing, substance.
At the same time, we've got to drive the narrative.
In response to Donald Trump posting this bizarre and very dangerous message, pregnant women
don't do this, don't do that.
Trump spells hepatitis wrong.
He's giving advice about hepatitis vaccines.
He's no clue what he's talking about, and he's giving incorrect medical information.
Governor Newsom shows this photo of Donald Trump and says,
won't be taking medical advice from someone who can't spell hepatitis and looks like this.
Governor Newsom also posts this from More Perfect Union.
The U.S. is seeing the largest number of layoffs since 2020, with nearly one million people losing their jobs so far this year.
Governor Newsom says, great work, Donald Trump.
Also, as Donald Trump is out there saying, Trump, inflation has been defeated.
Everyone is doing well.
Governor Newsom just post the facts like this.
Donald Trump is out of the country while he allows Americans to starve.
Food banks brace for overwhelming demand as snap.
cut off looms. And I've already showed you videos with those food bank lines, never been bigger.
You know, never has anybody seen in history food bank lines this big. Seriously, that's what's going on
right now. Also, inflation's up. Everyone's not doing well, as Donald Trump claims, everybody is
rich, he says. Inflation ticked up 3% in September. The U.S. belatedly reported, although I think
it's actually much higher than that, based on my personal experiences, going food shopping.
or going out to buy clothing.
And then we showed you the food bank sprites
for the overwhelming demand right now.
They're already experiencing it.
Also, in response to the article
about how SNAP funding expires,
40 million Americans,
42 million is actually the number
that will lose their access to SNAP.
Donald Trump is literally dancing in Asia,
Governor Newsom writes,
while 40 million people lose access to food.
Absolutely disgusting.
Governor Newsom then post this from Fox.
the five longest government shutdowns in history, what happened, how they ended.
December 2018 to January 2019, 35 days, that's the longest.
Then you have October 1st, currently we're at 26, 27, we're now at 28 days.
In response to this article talks about how California deploys National Guard for an actual good reason,
a reason to utilize the National Guard that makes sense.
deliver food to starving people as a result of Trump's policies in the government shutdown.
Government Governor Newsom writes,
Imagine deploying the Guard to actually help people.
And then Governor Newsom posts this video with Elex.
What's happening in California is a preview of what will happen across the country.
Donald Trump is trying to suppress the vote and intimidate voters.
Why?
Because he knows he's going to lose.
And when he's unsuccessful, he will claim fraud to say the elections are illegitimate.
let's play this clip right here let's talk about what's happening now um this is the first tv
interview you've done since the department of justice announced that they're going to be sending
election monitors into california to monitor what's happening with the prop 50
election it's a statewide election not a federal election um why do you think they're doing
that well they mean it's a pattern in practice they're doing it as part of an intimidation
strategy they're trying to suppress the vote they're trying to chill uh the the freedom of speech
We've seen that with this private police force, these increasing encroachment in terms of our civil liberties,
no due process, people with masks jumping out of unmarked cars.
We're seeing that in terms of the federalization, the militarization of American cities with troops.
It is part of practice from this administration.
They have no business being here.
They have no basis being here for exactly the reasons you framed.
It's a statewide election for a statewide constitutional amendment.
And so there's no pattern of practice in the past of violations of the,
voting rights act and all of a sudden now they seem to be champions of the voting rights
act quite curiously in some of the most diverse districts in this state at a particular curious
and important time in american history not just california history there you have it folks
